Starting point is 00:00:05 Let's do this! A big hello to all of my very important readers, Ryer's Rockstars, and Red Carpet Celebrities. Welcome to your August Q&A episode. Thank you so much to everyone who sent in these awesome questions. Keep them coming, and each month I will be back to answer more questions for you. Let's get started. Number one. Joshua asked, How long do bears sleep?
Starting point is 00:00:38 Great question, Joshua. Bears do a lot of sleeping. On a normal day, bears can sleep four to seven hours a day, depending on the type of bear. But bears also hibernate. Bears that live in colder areas like Alaska can hibernate for about seven months. Bears that live in warmer areas will hibernate for about
Starting point is 00:01:04 two to five months out of the year. Pretty cool, huh? Number two, Eliana would like to know, what is my lucky letter? My lucky letter would have to be the letter E, because your name starts with E, and so does our last name. The most important people in my life have the letter E in their names, so that letter is definitely special to me. Number three, six-year-old Cole asked, Do you want to be an astronaut? Honestly, I really never thought about becoming an astronaut. I know I'm super interested in space,
Starting point is 00:01:51 and I love to learn all I can about it. But I don't think I would make a very good astronaut. I would miss my home too much, and a nice relaxing cup of hot coffee without it. floating away from me all the time. I think another good question would be, do you want to be an astronaut when you grow up? If so, when you take your first spaceship flight, can you send me some cool pictures? Thanks, Cole. Number four, Jackson asked, do snakes have friends? Jackson, this was an interesting question. At first, I thought that snakes were more than...
Starting point is 00:02:36 antisocial kind of animal that liked to be alone. But, turns out I was wrong. Snakes actually do form friendships and seek out the company of other snakes. The garter snake seems to be a great example of a snake that looks for friends. That is so cool. This was awesome. Thank you to everyone who sent in questions for this month's Q&A episode. Don't forget. to send in more for September. Before we go, I have a question for you. If you had a snake friend, what kinds of things would you do together for fun? Thank you for joining me. I wonder what I'm going to answer next.
