Let's do this!
Thank you so much for tuning into today's story.
Don't forget to rate and follow,
so you never miss out on all the Ryers' readers' fun.
Before we get into the story,
do you want to know a fun fact?
Did you know that the whale shark is the biggest fish in the world?
There are reports of some whale sharks growing over 60 feet
long. Even though the whale shark is huge, it is a gentle giant that only feeds on plankton and
very small fish. Pretty cool, huh? Okay, story time. Today, we are going to read Henry's Amazing
imagination by Nancy Carlson loved using his imagination especially during show and tell he told the class he caught a fish so big it pulled his boat across the whole lake and he built a snowman as big as his house he even told the class all about his neighbor's pet dragon joey the day Henry told them an
Alien landed in his yard.
Everyone started asking questions.
Why didn't you call 911?
How can an alien breathe on Earth?
What color was the alien?
Aliens don't land in backyards.
They land at Disney World.
My mom says there are no such thing as aliens.
What planet was he from?
Tony said,
You're a big fibber.
Henry didn't mean to Fib.
It's just that his imagination got mixed up with the truth.
After show and tell, Mr. McCarthy said,
Henry, you have an amazing imagination.
Instead of using it for show and tell,
why don't you use it to write stories?
But what if I can't spell all the words?
That's okay. Just do your best,
said Mr. McCarthy.
You can even draw pictures to go with them.
So Henry got busy at home and at school.
Now that Henry was using all of his imagination to write stories,
show and tell was getting really boring.
We went to the store and bought cheese.
Here is the cheese.
We went home and we made a cheese sandwich.
It was good.
boring, Sidney fell asleep. And Tony said, I liked it better when you fibbed during show and tell.
But Henry knew he shouldn't fib. So he got an idea. At the next show and tell, Henry read his
stories aloud. No one called him a fibber. No one was bored. Everyone agreed. When Henry used
his imagination to write stories, show and tell was amazing. The end. Don't forget to stick around
to see if you can answer today's paying attention question. Before you go, do you think you can answer
today's paying attention question? When Henry was using his imagination during show and tell,
how big did he say he built a snowman? If your answer was,
As big as his house?
You did it!
Great job!
You sure were paying attention.
I hope you enjoyed that story.
I wonder what we're going to read next.
