Apples are less dense than water because they have a lot of air in them.

That's why they are probably. perfect for apple bobbing, a game usually played around Halloween. To play, you have to try to catch a floating apple with your teeth. Pretty cool, huh? Okay, story time. Today, we are going to read My Little Pony, Tricks and Treats. It's Nightmare Night in Ponyville. Every pony has spent months coming up with the very best costumes, especially Twilight Sparkle. But Spike doesn't understand her costume at all. Who are you supposed to be? he asks. A kooky grandpa?

I'm a wizard, she says. Spike and Twilight open the door to find a princess, an astronaut, and a ladybug. A teeny tiny pirate is there too. Twilight smiles. You look amazing. Pipsqueak. Suddenly, a chicken pushes in front of the smaller ponies. Pinky Pie?

Aren't you a little old for trick-or-treating, says Twilight Sparkle? Too old for free candy? Pinky Pie is shocked. Never! Just then, Rainbow Dash floats over on a small, dark cloud. She smashes the cloud with her hooves. Lightning and thunder crashed. Nightmare Night is the best time for pranks, she says.

Many years ago, Nightmare Night began when Princess Luna transformed into the evil villain, Nightmare Moon. The ponies would dress up in costumes to trick Nightmare Moon. With the help of the ponies, Luna turned back to normal, but some ponies are still a little scared of her. It looks like this is going to be the best Nightmare night yet. But wait, who is that in the sky? Princess Luna steps out of the shadows. Her dark, starry main flows in the night breeze. Citizens of Poniville, boomed Princess Luna.

Let us change this nightmare celebration into a bright feast. Ah! shrieks Prinky Pie. Nightmare Moon said she's going to feast on us all. Princess Luna, says Twilight Sparkle. You're still happy wee ponies helped you turn back into yourself, right? I could not be happier. Is that not clear? Luna wholeheartedly replies. Twilight cringes.

Well, you kind of sound like you're yelling at me. But this is the traditional voice of the cantalette royals, booms, Princess Luna. Twilight is blown back by Princess Luna's super loud voice. Maybe if you lowered your volume, she says, you'd get a warmer reception here. Twilight has an idea. Maybe Flutter Shy can teach the princess a thing or two about how to speak without blowing ponies away. But first, Twilight needs to get Flutter Shy to come out of her house. Poor Flutter Shy. She hates Nightmare Night.

It is way too scary. Flutter Shy is scared, but she shows Princess Luna how to speak softly. Luna is so happy, she wraps Flutter Shy up in a big hug. Just then, Pinky Pie gallops up to the house. Ah! Nightmare Moon has stolen Flutter Shy's voice so she can gobble. It's no use, Luna says. Pony's run.

will always be afraid of me. But Twilight is not ready to give up. My friend Applejack is one of the most likable ponies around. I'm sure she'll have some ideas. All you need to do is have fun. Let's play some games, says Applejack. Princess Luna wins spider toss and then pumpkin catapult. The crowd cheers.

But, oh no, Luna. Luna sees Pipsqueak fall into the apple-bobbing bucket. Luna dunks her head into the water to rescue him, screams Pinky Pie. Luna has had enough. Nightmare nights shall be canceled. Twilight Sparkle has had enough, too. She lures Pinky Pie away with a trail of candy.

Stop screaming, Pinky, says Twilight, grabbing Pinky. Luna has changed. She's a good pony now. I know that, Pinky Pie laughs. Haven't you ever celebrated Nightmare Night before? Sometimes it's fun to be scared. Twilight finally understands how to help Luna. Pinky Pie, you're a genius. Pinky laughs.

No, I'm a chicken. Twilight leads every pony to the Nightmare Moon statue. It's tradition to give the statue their statue. candy. They hope that Nightmare Moon will eat the candy and not the ponies. I guess this is the last nightmare night, says Pipsqueak sadly. Suddenly, Princess Luna appears, I declare I shall eat your candy instead of you. The ponies scream happily and run away. Pipsqueak scampers back to Luna. Will you come back next year and scare us again?
