Before we get into the story, do you want to know a fun fact?
Did you know that the most valuable and expensive crown in the whole world is the St. Edward's crown from the United Kingdom?
It is estimated to be worth over $57 million.
Because in its very important piece of history, it is often considered priceless.
Would you want to wear a $57 million crown?
Honestly, I think I would wear it for like two minutes and then get super nervous and then
very carefully take it off and put it somewhere super safe.
I would be cool with wearing a fake crown that looks like it's worth $57 million, though.
Do you think they sell those on Amazon?
Hmm, okay. Story time.
Today, we are going to read, Paw Patrol, King for a Day by Mary Tillworth.
All patrol pups are in a play.
They wear costumes.
Chase is the king.
The other pups are knights.
Captain Turbot builds a castle for the play.
He hammers one last nail.
The castle falls! Captain Turbett is stuck!
He calls the Paw Patrol for help.
Ryder and his pups race to the rescue.
They are ready to help Captain Turbett.
Rubble lifts the castle wall.
Chase pulls the castle tower off the captain.
Marshall X-rays Captain Turbin.
Fue, no broken bones!
Now the pups must fix the castle.
Sky flies a wall into place.
Rocky screws a door onto the wall.
Marshall and Ryder paint the castle.
The castle is finished.
The play can start now.
Chase begins to cough.
Marshall checks him out.
Chase is sick.
Ryder asks Marshall to play the king.
The play begins.
A princess is trapped in the tower.
A king must save her.
The pup who can pull the bone from the stone will become king.
Marshall tries.
He pulls the bone.
It hits the tower.
The princess falls from the tower.
Marshall catches the princess. What a good pup!
Lady Sky puts a crown on Marshall's head.
Hooray! The king saved the day! And Marshall saved the play.
The end!
Don't forget to stick around to see if you can answer today's paying attention question.
Before you go, do you think you can answer today's paying attention question?
attention question? Supposed to be the original king in the play. If your answer was, Chase,
you did it! Great job! You sure were paying attention! I hope you enjoyed that story. I wonder what we're
going to read next.
