In this first ever Ryers Recess episode, Elliana gets her feet wet in the pool of podcasting! Get her take on fashion, kindergarten, and her pick for an upcoming Ryers Readers story!

Let's do this. Eliana, are you ready to do this? Yeah. Are you excited? Yeah. This is our first Ryer's Recess episode. Pretty cool. Uh, uh, uh, uh,

because it's recording us. Do you want to say hi, my name is, and how old you are? Yeah. All right, go for it. And how old are you? Four and a half. Four and a half. When are you going to turn five?

September 20th. September 20th. So we have a big birthday coming up after the summer, huh? Yes. So, what do you think we want to do all summer? Playing bouncy house? Oh, bouncy house. That's always fun.

Anything else? Pool. Pool and bouncy house. Those are two really fun things. I like chalk. Oh, I like chalk, too. We were just learning how to draw. Apple Jack.

Yes, my little pony horses, right? My Little Pony ponies. Who's your favorite, my little pony? Yeah, who's your favorite, my little pony? Applejack and Rainbow Dash. I know. So, we're in the summer, and it's summer break from what? What did you just finish?

You just graduated pre-K. Yes. Yeah. How do you feel about being a preschool graduate? Good. Come on mommy. Tell me, what do you feel? What did you feel about?

graduating pre-k, how did it make you feel? Were you proud of yourself? Yeah. And where are you going in September? Kindergarten. What are you most excited for when you start kindergarten? Books, new books? New books to read at kindergarten?

That's a good thing to be excited for. That is super exciting. Is there anything else? Are you excited to go to a new school, a new building? Yeah. And meet your new friends? Yeah. And meet your new teachers?

Yeah. That might be really, really fun. I'm really excited for you. Oh, and we'll get like a new book bag and a new lunchbox. My little pony book bag. Okay, yeah, we could do that My Little Pony Book Bag. So speaking of books, what is your favorite book to read right now? Ellie, what's your favorite book to read right now?

Writers readers? Oh, okay. Well, what's your favorite writer's reader's story? I'm not just a scribble That was a silly story I'm so happy that all those drawings got to work together And play together And then the scribble got to color in the house

And the rainbow and what else Do you remember what else that scribble got to color in? The house, the rainbow, and what else? Remember the sun and the cloud? All right, well why don't we say Thank you for listening No, no, no, no, no, no. I got my part, and we didn't even say it.

What is your part? Well, I need to tell you what I've been wearing. I'll go ahead. Okay, I have a pink shirt. We have rainbow hearts, and they used to have rainbow boots on, and they fell. And I have a pedicure pink, pedicure nails, Petticoot and all that those stuff. You love fashion.

Yeah. What's your favorite thing to wear? What's your favorite outfit to put together? Sparkly. Sparkly. You are my daughter. That's for sure. And what's your favorite color?
