Let's do this!
Thank you so much for tuning into today's story.
Don't forget to rate and follow so you never miss out on all the Ryers' readers' fun.
Before we get into the story, do you want to know a fun fact?
Did you know sheep have very good hearing and can move each ear independently to listen for sounds from different directions?
Pretty cool!
Cool, huh?
Okay, story time.
Today we are going to read Sleepy Sheepy and the Sheepover by Lucy Ruth Cummings.
It was finally the big day, or rather the big night.
It was time for Sleepy Sheepie's very first sheepover.
Sleepy sheepy packed and stacked.
He fluffed and he stuffed.
He had everything he would need and a few more things too, just in case.
When they got to Grammy Sheepie and Grampy Sheepies, Sleepy Sheepie was over the moon.
His two favorite folks, all to himself.
Would they watch an old movie?
Would he stay up so late?
Sleepy Sheepy was thrilled for his very first all-night play date.
But when Ma Sheepie and Pa Sheepie said goodbye and good night,
Sleepy sheepy felt quite bad.
Matter, my little curly-whirley?
What's worrying you, my tough little fluff?
But Sleepy Sheepy didn't quite know.
Everything felt different, not quite right.
Sleepy Sheepy didn't know if he'd make it, even just for one night.
For one, the blanket scratched and his PJs didn't match.
He loved his Grammy and his grampy so, but his tummy got twisty, and his eyes got misty.
Sleepy, sheepy missed his home.
Sleepy Sheepy could not sleep.
But then Grampy knew just what to do.
And Grammy did too.
Your pa loved this book.
Would you like to take a look?
So Sleepy Sheepy, Grammy and Grampy,
munched and crunched and giggled while they wiggled.
And before he knew it,
his cute little snout was Tucker,
right out. Then when Sleepy Sheepie got under the covers, he sort of liked the scratch.
So they tucked him in quite tight, which always felt just right. And before he knew it,
Sleepy Sheepy felt right at home.
The end. Don't forget to stick around to see if you can answer today's paying attention question.
you go. Do you think you can answer today's paying attention question? What was wrong with
sleepy sheepies P-Js? If your answer was, they didn't match? You did it! Great job! You sure
were paying attention! I hope you enjoyed that story! I wonder what we're gonna read next.
