Welcome to Sad Boys, a podcast about feelings and other things also.
I'm Jarvis.
This is Poppy.
Has Poppy been on the main show yet?
I don't think so.
Uh-uh.
Leave it.
Official Poppy reveal.
Good girl.
She's in a little bit of a cheeky mood because she's been in Zumi's and not been sleeping.
She is a young puppy.
How old is she now?
We're going to know 12th week.
This is a young one.
She's in her teething era, unfortunately.
She's in a teeth on my hand.
Okay.
An owl.
Good girl.
Look at that.
She learned so fast.
Oh, big ears.
Oh, wow.
She's so tired.
She's like the smartest.
Oh, she can be here.
You want to feed her like this?
And I'm saying so selfishly because this is the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Good girl.
Yes.
Oh, my goodness.
She's been a potty master.
She went outside 10 times today by herself to P and Pooh.
She keeps going by herself.
and she doesn't even need you.
She's going to have a driver's license soon.
I'll say that.
It's like having a gifted kid.
Don't say that.
She will need me.
She'll go off to college.
She won't even do laundry at your house.
The hell.
That is a,
that's an interesting move.
I was fun while at the house.
Sit.
I've never known anyone,
but I've also never known anyone
that lived near their like hometown at college,
I guess.
The hometown of the house,
that always struck me as more work.
Like lugging it all to me.
versus just going
What are we talking about again?
Home town.
Laundry, doing laundry
your parents house.
That should be good.
But here's the kickers.
Some people have parents
that they take their long.
Little insensitive.
You didn't let me finish.
I mean, yeah,
it's a little insensitive.
You know you're talking to right now.
Some people have parents.
We're the dead parents face.
Hell yeah.
And it's good.
We got them.
And they'll take the laundry
to their parents' house
and then their parents
will do their laundry.
It's so awesome.
That is, I think if you have parents and if you have parents that will do things for you
and have amenities that you can use, you should take full advantage.
Well, sure.
Parents and family.
I'm speaking to the audience.
I'm saying, and I'm jealous of, like, my college version of myself is jealous of that
because I had to, I had to, like, use the, um, the laundromat in our dorm room and people
would take your stuff out of the laundry.
Yeah.
Uh, all kinds of stuff.
That's one of like the early life experiences where you're right on the cusp of being mature enough to admit that like, yeah, I probably should take it out earlier.
But you're also immature enough to be like, don't touch my stuff.
That's not fair.
Like, no, it's.
You left it in there for 45 minutes.
I was a bad boy.
Well, look, I've had it be like people are watching it like a hawk.
It's messed up.
And they do, they do something that they go a little too far, I think.
They steal your underwear.
They stole my underwear.
I don't.
I was going to say it.
Embarrassed.
Maybe this is like just a bad indication of my lack of attention span or something.
But I sitting like the classic everything everywhere all at once style laundromat,
sitting down waiting experience.
Oh, that's such a funny.
It's amazing to me.
The patience required.
It's just like you saying referencing the movie.
Yeah, where's from?
Yeah, no.
The crazy dimension where there's a lot.
The crazy dimension where there's a laundromat.
I think I've just had a lucky streak of most places.
Like we had like an old shitty one growing up,
but then my college had one in the dorm.
Two of my three college apartments had one.
And then the other one was like nearby.
I don't think I've ever been in a, oh my God,
I have to have time to put the stuff in the car to go to the place to do the,
that's a big.
Yeah, yeah.
And I do remember having to lug.
I had various forms of like,
laundry satchels that I could use to carry my laundry from my dorm room to the thing.
Inventory.
It almost felt like a walk of shame.
It looked like you were hitchhiking across the country when you were carrying your laundry.
Bindle.
Yeah, literally.
I wouldn't do it now because sometimes it makes it go crazy.
But he has very interesting reactions to howling.
Oh.
The old howl.
So when Dipper was this age, I remember.
I thought I would soothe him.
So I played dog sounds.
I found like dog park sounds on YouTube.
And he just started freaking out.
What doesn't make any sense, right?
Must be crazy.
What's funny is that now he could,
I tried the same thing in his adulthood.
And he could,
he doesn't even notice.
I don't know what it is.
It's like maybe he learned to tell
that like sounds coming from a speaker
from sounds coming from real life or something.
Or at the very least, it's like, well, every time I check there, there's nothing.
I'm just not even going to bother anymore.
It was truly only this one time when he was like, yeah, three or four months sold.
It's weird that some dogs pick up, like, certain media.
Like, she, I mean, she's young, so she's not really recognizing anything TV-wise.
We only watch Cayo.
But there is.
Well, I think Bluey is probably a good place to start.
Too realistic.
Yeah.
It's too close to home.
I don't watch, I don't allow Australian media in my house.
Oh, okay.
I don't allow blue media into my house.
No blue men grew up.
Clues.
No blues clues.
But the...
No, that one episode of Rested Development.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
That has endured.
But there's, like, I knew a dog who hated Scratch from Baldsgate 3.
And then when Ollie saw Scratch, it's like he was looking through the TV, just nothing.
Yeah.
You didn't even perceive him.
I want to know what's going on there.
And I don't, like, have we done the, like, science on it?
What's up, dude?
We hung out yesterday.
We did.
So I don't know how much could have become up, but it wasn't.
But what's up?
A lot.
Oh.
A lot went down.
I was wrong.
Okay.
I got your Christmas gift.
I've been doing this thing.
I've been doing this thing where I'm terrible at doing most things.
Of course.
In life.
Yeah.
And I'm always really bad around, like, gift times.
And it's because.
I did I it gets to the or Halloween costumes for example things like that where it's like coming it's coming it's coming and then there it is and then I'm not ready for it and I but I do like get gifts and things for people throughout the year and so I'm trying to just when I have an impulse just get the thing and then put it away for for Christmas you're an excellent gift gift giver implies the way you're giving finder of gifts.
No, yeah.
Your gift choices are very good.
It's like the way that I deliver the gift.
I have a song.
It's kind of like at, um, it's kind of like at, uh, Coldstone when you, it's your birthday.
Oh, dude.
Yeah.
Oh, God, you're thinking about it.
Sorry.
I am, I, I, I turned to stone at the idea of that happening.
Like, any birthday song, I had a friend, oh, I had a friend do that to another friend
editor a few years ago as a joke, wasn't their birthday.
And the, uh,
they brought out like a cupcake with a candle in it and everyone in the restaurant sang and I
it literally it felt evil like like dark magic like it is coldstone used to sing when you gave
them a tip and you know how many tips they lost because I didn't want to hear them sing
dude I feel bad at fucking uh renfair it's like you're bribing them not to sing yeah
wait why do you feel about like a like a dollar tip and they have to do like yeah yeah
Oh, right.
Because no one tips.
And then if they do, they feel they're like obliged to ring a big bell.
You know what's funny?
I like turn off the processing center of my brain as a coping mechanism for being in those
situations.
You're in character.
And so now I remember what you're talking about because I will like tip because it's like
the normal thing to do.
And then they go, we've got the tip.
They like ring a bell.
Everyone.
We have a weird guy over here.
He's different.
At my college, the Panda Express, every time you would like,
donate to their charity.
Like, I think it was for like the children's hospital or something.
Yeah, yeah.
He would like round up or like donate a dollar or something.
And they would ring a bell.
And every single like employee would say,
thank you.
Like I don't.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
I feel bad for them.
That's what it is because I, the energy that they have to summon for that I think is so
impressive.
And I,
I got in trouble a lot when I worked.
retail because I would never, ever ask if they had like a membership card.
I just couldn't will myself to do it.
That's really funny.
That because it is.
You change character.
All of a sudden, like, would you like to use your club card?
It's also no one's fault doing this.
It's, it's that we've created, we've created a prison of society.
And one of the aspects of that is turning around the iPad and saying, the iPad's going to ask you a question.
Your question is always great.
And the defeated like
It's gonna ask you a question
Feel free to say say that
It's like it's
Oh it's you didn't have the description
Everyone should just
I mean the American typical culture is like so annoying
Because it's like people should just make a living wage
And it shouldn't be on like the performance
But it is and so we you know
It's like it's not for like most of the people I know
It's like you know most of the people I know
Are like they tip regardless
But there's always the person online
Who's like uh for what
I tip for going above and beyond
And you're actually below and before.
Being that, do, but like, be the change you want to see in the world.
Cafe managers will start paying the workers more because I'm not tipping them.
Right.
Okay.
Speaking of tips.
Zip.
I've got one for you.
What is it?
A stitch in time makes nine.
Excuse me?
A stitch in time makes nine?
I've said, I've got one for you before I had a tip.
It's not really a tip, is it?
It's like a...
Early bird gets the worm.
Yeah.
Again, it's not a tip because you're not like...
Aphorism, I guess.
Or a way like a saying, a turn of phrase?
A fable.
Because even the only bird gets the worm.
He who laughs last best.
Also, okay, yeah.
So he's just done it again.
This is an advice.
And he's not advice in any way.
Unless you're telling us that we would laugh better if we laughed last.
I'll wait.
A good tip for you is to...
You know.
It's to...
be nice, be nice to me.
Shut the fuck.
Okay.
Now that's a tip I can get behind.
Roasted.
Well, I'll last.
I'll laugh last.
Poppy, leave it.
Uh-uh.
Uh-uh.
Puppy.
She's got.
She's dusted him out.
She sounds like your face.
She sounds like some.
She was and then she,
she jumped off.
Like, she, like, did you say she has front wheel drive,
Jordan?
Yeah.
Because she does.
Yeah, she jumped off front.
Like, she goes,
bongk.
And then like her other,
her back legs are just like there as well.
Yeah, she moves like quop
Yeah, no, she moves like two people
Have to control her in unison
Yeah, it's the, like a
Tony's New Year dragon
It is super funny to like just accidentally
Fall over because when you have four legs
You're like how?
How can it be possible?
I had so much insurance.
You have so many, it's like a three-legged table
Could stand.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, she has, she's developing shame
About falling
Because she's so proud about how
She's now able to like hop up on the couch
move around. She's almost quick like her brother.
She's feeling very confident.
But then now she slips off the couch. She hits the like,
I suppose that. She does the thing. Oh, wait. Okay, there's a meme.
Let me see if I can figure out how to
type this in to search it. Key words.
This is Poppy falling and trying to play it off.
You know, having a good time. Maybe a little too active. Maybe a little too active.
Oh, oh, oh, what's that? No, sniper shot.
Yeah.
I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Like, I saw her do that. She literally fell off this and then
It was actually like, I'm lying down now.
Oh, you're still sitting?
This is what I'm doing.
Wow.
Sitting on a couch?
No.
Dumb.
So last season.
She's a sweetie.
I love my poppy and yet she, sometimes she peeped inside and that's fine with me.
This is just her domain and the things that we have that are unpissed upon, we should just be grateful that she.
Oh my goodness.
That she has, she has bequeathed.
That my, my lord is handed down to the common folk.
Yeah, me lord's handed down to the common folk.
Take this dog bed.
I didn't like this one.
episode of Sadboys is sponsored by Ridge.
Can we talk about something, Jordan?
Speak.
Your phone, that needs a cord.
Yeah.
Your watch, another cord.
Headphones, another cord.
Oh, I'm drowning in court.
Your Kindle.
Oh, you've been trying to read.
Sorry, you're going to need another chord for that.
But wait.
But wait.
Those days were officially over thanks to Ridge.
You know, Ridge.
Uh-huh.
You've talked about it.
You said it.
We'll say it again.
They revolutionized the wallet.
They did.
Oh, they revolutionized the game all over again.
With Ridge's five-in-one travel power bank
with built-in cables.
You can charge your devices all at the same time.
Whoa. One power bank, no extra cables?
Yes, sir.
You're saying MagSafe wireless charging, Apple Watch charger,
lightning cables, USB cable,
every single way you need to charge all in one premium device.
Available in various colors and designs.
We're talking Matt Olive, base camp orange, matte black.
I mean, this thing, it looks sleek, okay?
It's not saying I bought this at the airport right before the flight.
It's saying I premeditated this.
I went over to Ridge.com.
I told them Sadboy sent me and I bought myself a nice device.
It's saying I'm the pilot.
No more juggling adapters, hunting for outlets at the airport to limp your phone to 20%.
This thing, 20 watts of power, as fast as your phone can charge, 10,000 milliamp hour battery
capacity.
That's three full phone charges.
Do you have any idea how many crosswords you could do with this bad boy in your pocket?
I was on a plane recently and I did bring out my tray table and I popped a little kickstand on
my travel adapter.
And I could enjoy the sports game that I was watching in that given moment.
And you're not only benefiting yourself.
You're also benefiting the guy like two rows behind and to the left.
Who wants to watch the game?
Can't help but kind of observe whatever the person ahead of them is doing.
And like everything Ridge makes.
This is built the last free shipping, a 99 day risk free trial and a lifetime warranty.
This is the last power bank you'll ever need unless you want to buy more of them,
which I've been considering.
It's probably a good idea because they do kind of rock.
One thing to pack.
Five ways of power.
You can find Ridges Power Bank at Best Buy,
and our listeners are going to get 10% off,

And hey, I mentioned it before.
You can say we brought you,
or you can lie and say we didn't.
Your choice.
Tell the truth.
But please support the show.
Thanks.
And thanks to Ridge for sponsoring this episode.
Did you see the,
the Stanford
like university brochure
where they were
changing the race of people in photos
how does this keep up?
It's getting
it's getting bad man
with the power of GROC
we're
I do think it was like
I do think the power of Grock
it like puts Peter Griffin in there
yeah
I'm surprised
oh my God
I took a video of this
because otherwise
people wouldn't believe
that it happened
someone tweeted
the most insane thing
and I
didn't even want to say it out loud
because of how insane it is.
So this is going GROC mode, by the way.
This is a tweet that said
which MimeConf translation is your favorite?
And then instead of translating it,
GROC answered the question.
And I have it on video
and I screen recorded this myself
because I knew if I saw the screenshot
only people wouldn't believe it was real.
You want unimpeachable to...
You can just hit play
because I literally just keep clicking.
the button back and forth.
I, yeah, this was me just.
The GROC translation.
Croc responded, like,
Mecca Hitler responded
the Mecca Hitler
inside of the machine.
I can't,
I can't, we can't even say these things.
That's what I mean, man.
It's someone, I think,
tweeted this, by the way, to like,
illustrate it.
Yeah.
Like, I don't think they were just,
they could have been shit posting.
I don't know, but,
uh, my understanding is
they tweeted this and then
the words mind conference,
or German.
And so then it triggers the translation by Grog.
I've got your back.
But then Grock just answers the question.
My favorite English translation of,
and then it just goes off on a paragraph.
The newer ones, like the 2021 Manheim version,
are more scholarly, but feel a bit sanitized.
What's yours?
Sanitized.
What's yours is so funny in a platform
where you cannot respond.
Inside of a translation.
That's somebody,
like texting your crush and then wanting the convert to keep going.
So what do you do this weekend?
This is like when NPR found that teens in class were using Spotify podcast comments to chat with each other.
That's really funny.
Because they were looking for podcasts that didn't have a lot of engagement.
And so no one was commenting on the NPR ones for obvious reasons.
Let's give the podcast too.
Wow.
Yeah.
Everybody wins.
Anyway, back to AI being the best.
So they used the power of GROC to make somebody what rate?
Oh, it admits using AI to race swap white.
I mean, okay.
So not only is it a race swap, but it is a race swap implies that it's the same person in a different race a la
the Oprah Winfrey race machine thing from the Black White Times.
The social experiment.
But this is just, it changes the person.
Sorry.
The different person.
The basic image is really funny.
It's just got some food.
Yeah, it's like, got some pale food.
Meals on campus.
It's like the type of thing that goes in your, it's like here at the, you know, you can eat the campus meal plan and it's like the mid food that you get.
Yeah, this is too much work for a pamphlet.
Like just photo print.
I think the other egregious thing is that the two people that they kept their race the same and gender the same, they like yassified them.
They did.
They like, make them hotter.
No offense.
But it's like.
No, that was kind of fucked up of you to say.
But they did like.
They changed the brain.
of the hoodie.
Oh, yeah.
Also,
also the
the Stanford
University is more clear
in the second photo.
That's so bizarre.
They changed his gap
gap sweater.
Yeah, it's a lot.
Yeah, but the headline
isn't about the hoodie swap.
You know,
there's something else that changed.
Unfortunate crop,
by the way.
I'm noticing.
Five things that are different
between these pictures.
A slightly awkward
crop on the
AI version.
Yeah.
Is it like a letter?
They're inside of a letter.
or something.
I am a little confused.
She goes to Enford.
Okay, before we look at the replies,
which are all verified and so useless,
and this is the New York Post.
Can we look at the source?
It violated its own artificial intelligence rules.
Because it's like we expect institutions now
to have like AI policies.
Whatever.
Why is this, what's with this crop?
I don't understand.
Why is it crop like that?
I don't know.
Oh, it's probably part of like a collage or something.
Oh, it's an H or something for like.
I think it's like inside of a like a letter.
A lot of photos.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Going through this and then just being.
Something's missing.
Something isn't quite right.
It's like, oh no, there were no black people in any of our photos.
How can we fix this?
I'm out of film.
I also like, why use candids from students on camera?
I mean, I know why because it's cheap.
Because it's so like normal and, you know.
It's like, natural.
Just hire students to pose for photos.
I thought that's what this was.
But, well, it's not, I guess it's not, I think, hmm.
I guess it's like, hey, can I take it for them?
They didn't.
It's, it's candids from campus is what they used.
They didn't hire these students.
Right.
But they.
Well, that one doesn't exist.
So they didn't hire that student.
But this, I guess in my mind, this was a photo that was like repurposed or something.
To me, it seems like the.
social media department of Stanford hired a student photographer to go.
For the student paper to talk about the reopening of the dining hall or whatever.
And then it's like, here's students enjoying the dining hall.
And then in my mind, now it's like being repro, we need to repurpose this image.
Because the articles about like, don't worry, the cafeteria is now a little bit blacker.
It's by 33%.
We fixed it.
Yeah.
That's such a weird.
What's the calculation?
Did they do anything?
Oh yeah.
It's Instagram.
slash Stanford Dining.
Oh, Stanford's independent paper, the Stanford review.
Whoa, no loyalty.
It's coming from inside of the house.
I mean, that's important to have those things.
I don't know.
You got to stick with your day ones, you know what I mean?
I keep my circle small like Fortnite.
Where it's the end and it's only you?
And I get shocked.
And you get a victory royale.
And I die.
It was in a banner.
Oh, I see.
This is probably not the only instance, then?
I'm sure this is happening all over the place.
It's just that no one wants to look too closely at stock photography.
Or no one has-noticed.
It's possible that it's throughout.
Well, yeah, just because I mean, like, people,
because they turn their eyes off when they're seeing, like, stock photos.
The first line, wait, the first line of this article is really good.
Billy Ramirez, that collected a plate of noodles.
Okay.
At a lunar New Year party in 2024, when a Stanford University photographer snapped the picture
of him alongside two other students.
We have the camera set up in a weird way of my place.
so if Jarvis isn't like getting really close to read each word at a time.
Oh yeah, yeah, it's different than before.
We need to put one of those big holes like they had that crop.
Oh, yeah.
And we need to change the race of Jacob.
New York Times, everybody.
Ms. Ramirez, as a senior who's majoring in human biology,
said there was a quote unquote, comedic element to the matter.
Wow.
I mean, a human being.
I think he was one of the people who was yassified, though,
and not the...
Like, we're moved?
I think Ramirez was the one who was removed.
Oh, okay.
Okay, so he's allowed to say that he's comedic.
He's right.
It's very funny.
Oh, yeah.
Maybe not.
Oh, it had been altered so they appeared thinner.
Okay, that's not what I...
That's what I'm saying.
They tried to make them more conventional looking.
Yeah, I was like, but that's like, I don't even think that's an accurate.
Like, they just like changed their faces.
How much of this, I mean, in that case, specifically the weight element, how much of that is just make them look better?
Well, because it's all trained.
Yes, 100%.
Or it.
Honestly, I think if you say change this person's face, it'll be a model because every, like, there's just more professional photography on, because the AI is saying, oh, this is a professional photo.
Let me make it look like a professional photo.
And then the, all of the IP that they stole was of modeling photos.
Yeah.
I'm trying to like, I'm astro projecting myself back into like, okay, because sometimes, uh, at, at,
college, I would get like very low paying one day gigs to do like behind the scenes photography
for an event the college was putting on or more often than not like a celebrity speaker was coming
in. I do like photos during the meeting groups. You were like, whoa, say hello to Mr. Bose
Associated by associated with Mr. Sonos. Yeah. Those are your guest speakers. They're a guest speakers,
dude. Yes. Or LG. That's a nice speaker.
Loo Gehrig.
Oh, no, I don't want that one.
Baseball player.
We would go along and, no, he's a disease.
Oh.
We, I would shoot a lot of those things and pretty much every single time we would do it.
We'd miss something really important or the person we'd send them to for the edit, would just lose the files.
And like, it's just a mess because it's all students and no, everyone's drunk.
There is no way.
This is my guess, right?
Hey, here's some vague email mandate for what we know.
need this project to be a 18 year old with DSLR.
Go and take a photo and it needs to include X level of racial diversity.
This is like,
he didn't do it?
These are the quotas that the anti-woke are talking about.
They think isn't everything.
Yeah, they're like they need one, they need one brown person.
They need a person of ethnic ambiguity.
And they need a white male.
And the woke aren't even.
satisfied with that. You're not excited about your token black girl who's made through AI.
Yeah, it's like she's not real. Avengers Doomsday. Honestly, it's racist to say that this is
the opposite of representation because you're removing an opportunity for a black woman. Yes,
she doesn't exist. But what, imagine? But you're still removing her hypothetical opportunity.
Imagine that happened. Okay. Yeah, that would be crazy. There's definitely one black woman at
Stanford. Yeah, you saw it.
Not even more. They're changing them all to Mr. Ramirez.
No, I think it is.
I truly think it is just like, oh, fuck, I didn't think what they are.
I know, I think you're right.
But this is why systems and infrastructure are powerful, you know,
because it's like there's a failure in the system,
all the pressures, like, kind of pressured lower and lower down the level
until maybe like an intern who's working part-time in a work study program,
You know, at the school, like, is like, I'm out of deadline and my boss is mad at me.
And this will make the problem go away.
And I don't have.
I want to go to bed.
And I want to go to bed.
Yeah.
Stanford did make a statement.
So they said, ha, ha, ha, ha.
This rocks.
They said in the statement, this violates university policy for using AI and marketing and
communications.
Not only the fact that the image was altered, but the ways in which it was altered reflect a serious
error and judgment. We have apologized to the students in the photo whose images were altered or
erased. And then quite simply, this was wrong and should never happen again. They said they're
putting in new protocols in place to prevent it from happening again, but they didn't like really
expound upon. Using a Gemini to fight back against GROC, keep it in order. We're going to,
we're going to ask our competing AI models very nicely to not do it again. Yeah, we've actually
provided a lot of constructive feedback in prompt form to grok
he made us look like a studio ghibli character i mean look they did a bad job but they clearly
didn't try very hard i mean like if they were a little bit more cautious we wouldn't
even know that's the lesson right is that i don't think you can be casual or neutral about the
use of ai you know what i mean like you have to i wasn't laughing at what you said by the way i laughed
that i thought i had and i'll tell you about it after you continue sorry uh if if you're good um uh no
that you have to be intentional.
Yes, 100%.
And if you're in a big institution, which Stanford is,
they need to be.
And they have an insane endowment.
There's like no excuse for this.
Maybe this was Larry Somers.
Yeah.
Maybe he put this little project together.
He got demoted.
So the thing I thought about that made me chuckled to myself
was that taking the wrong lesson from this
and hiring models to dress up in like Greendale human being
body suits where they have no facial features.
And then they tell the AI to just.
generated new person because that person can't get upset.
Yeah, what are you pissed about?
It just leaves them green.
Oh, dude, personalized ad.
You get to pick the races you want to see at the college.
Or it's just all you in different races and hoodies and stuff.

i saw a video of somebody who put their grandma in obsession and it and it like freaked them out
and i'm like i'm yeah and i'm just like let's rotate my face i put my hand in the oven it's so warm in there
Well, we've crossed.
It's like it is true now that like people are using loads of AI to farm engagement.
Yeah.
And it's working.
So if I,
I have the same feeling about AI as I would if most people were deliberately crashing cars.
Yeah.
The car I don't really have that much of an issue with.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
If the car used 10 times the gas and it was only used for collisions.
Or it was also like, now, now here's,
me trying to work this metaphor.
It's like if the CEOs of Ford and Toyota and like every major like auto manufacturer was,
first of all, well, this did happen telling you that cars are going to destroy the world
because of the ozone and all that jazz and the art polluting.
And also the fossil fuels or lack thereof, you know, the non-renewable resources of our, of our planet.
Gaia and um the car and they stole everybody's bikes.
You need this.
And then they told and then they tried to sell you the car and said that you needed it.
And they got rid of the very lucrative, very necessary rail system in Los Angeles.
Look, I'm getting rid of it.
I'm getting rid of it because you, it's going to be gone later.
Trust me.
I'm just going to get rid of it right now.
Actually, this brings me to another thing I wanted to complain about, which is,
And I'm sorry we talk about AI so much on the show, but it is kind of dominating the world.
I mean, look what happened.
Our bread and butter, race swapping has been co-opted by AI.
And I thought some things were sacred.
Look what they took from us.
So there.
Sorry, I just realized if nobody knows like previous content we've made, that makes it sound like weed.
We do.
We do the spoke.
Like, we do it.
This 100-year-old race is still.
That's racewopping the old-fashioned way.
Let's keep humanity in race-swapping.
Reddit, my grandfather has been doing minstrel shows for 80 years.
Yeah.
Boot polish style.
What's going to happen to the award-winning makeup artists who do the race-swapping?
Yeah, the Emmy Award-winning.
If AI's doing it.
So this is so common in the AI space.
And specifically, this is always common in the tech industry, at least going back a very long time.
But it's just becoming more and more and more apparent because we're having to,
The average person, like I knew who Sam Altman was in 2014.
The average person didn't have to, and I was good at it.
And the average person didn't have to know who he was, right?
Yeah, blessing.
But now there, it's just like we're forced to hear from all these people.
There's this new startup.
No one goes away anymore.
There's this new, just hearing someone talking about a company.
It's always been we're changing the world by like moving the button from like the left
to the right, you know what I mean?
Don't worry.
The kerning is all different.
Two gigabyte update.
Why Instagram's so fun is you never know where the message button's going to be.
They like move it over.
You know, it's like, ooh, it used to be here where it was good.
Maybe we can just watch this clip because it's going to piss me off.
This is CEO of, wait, yeah, I guess what is the company?
It's some sort of thing in the restaurant industry.
I'm going to guess two syllables with a why.
Instinct.
Instinct CEO.
Yeah, it's like super vague, obviously.
What does that do?
Oh, yeah.
Let's actually, yeah, thank you, Jacob.
Instinct is a personal.
assistant that understands what you're working on and what's important to you. It connects your
applications and devices. Okay, so there's a million companies doing this. Um, this is instinct.
Basically, it's an agent API that like does like tasks, but then listen to this, I guess he's the
CEO. And traditionally, because of the way that the internet has worked, at least for reservations,
uh, it's been first come first serve. So anyone that comes in. Reservations, restaurant reservations.
The context of this is talking about restaurant, reserving restaurants.
By the way, which we can talk about this for a second.
If you want to create a reservation at a restaurant, you would go to their website.
Usually it's like open table or something.
Resi.
If you can't figure out how to make a reservation, you could just call them.
Nerds juicy gummy clusters.
Interesting.
We bought these yesterday.
Do you want to try a gusher, sploosh?
Are you sponsored?
Why did you, okay, so first of all, why did you call it that and not any of the words that are in that?
You called it a gusher sploge.
First of all, it's nerds.
It's a juicy
coming close.
It's generic brand
gusher sploosh.
Whoa.
Wait, hold on.
Spillooch.
It's a gusher sploosh.
Wait a minute.
I wasn't expecting this to actually
be kind of gas.
Okay, here's my thought process.
Everyone's asking.
So first of all, strawberry punch,
great, great name for a flavor.
great flavor. I was like, nerds, nerds are so big and you can't chew them really.
Like, they're so rocky, you know? And so I was like, oh, that's a, that's a turnoff.
I don't want to crunch, crunch, crunch. I want to gush your sploge or whatever. I want to gooosh or
sploge. I want a goon or splash. Gooner splash flavor. But they made them small. They made them small.
They made them small. That's the trick. How the hell did they do that? I think they have a shrink, right?
Oh, that would make some sense. That would save the most time.
And they also milk the gusher, the nerd, so that it creates the splution.
Sorry, not the gusher.
They milk the nerd.
You must kill Jack.
No.
My nerd.
Thinking about the time Jordan Peterson reposted that fake video, the Chinese milking factory or whatever.
Oh, that's right.
That's funny.
This is what they're doing.
This is what they're doing.
I had a situation where.
I refilled my prescription and then just kept forgetting to pick it up at the pharmacy.
Yeah.
So I didn't have my Zoloft for two days.
And I felt so weird yesterday.
I got home after we were recording.
I must be about two days.
You've been so cool.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
No.
Whatever you're doing, keep it up.
And I took it last night, but I'm still feeling.
I'm feeling weird.
Oh no.
You know, it's got a rip back up, but...
I was gonna say take them away from me, but no, I'm taking them away from you.
You can have a bat, but I will want more.
I kind of want it without the nerds though.
Is that bad?
No, I'm with you.
You just want a gusher.
That is not.
Gushers have like little, like juice inside of them.
So do these.
Wait, I thought it was just like a solid piece of splush.
No, look at the diagram.
Aesthetically, yes?
It's like a...
It's like the model of an atom.
It's got these little atom, these little, uh, proton.
protons, is that what there?
Protons, neutrons, electrons.
Oh, that shit. Jimmy.
Neutron.
What was his original name?
Jimmy Neutron? It was
Johnny Quasar.
Way better.
Wow, that's way cool.
I like Jimmy Neutron.
Because the Johnny Quasar short, or...
Yeah, it's not Jimmy.
Johnny Quasar can't be a nerd.
He's like a space...
He looks like shit.
Honestly, if you see it, you're like,
dude, the Jimmy Neutron, the Jimmy...
Sorry, Jacob.
It's like, shit.
We're going to come back to this, but let's take a little peek at Johnny Quasar.
He looks like you got to see this in big screen.
I got to see this in Broad H-D.
This was the original short that Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Fallon.
That was Jimmy Quasar.
Johnny Quay, yeah, that's right, that's right.
There he goes.
What the hell?
How old is he?
Look at the nine head on this guy, dude.
He's balding.
He just has a big head for his brain.
That's, oh, and he has a little, oh, he's a proper scientist.
He's, oh my God.
You could look at, the 3D model on the left, where it's comparing.
Where is T posing?
Oh, oh, this one.
Jimmy and Johnny.
Yeah, I think this must be a, like, in, in universe reference or something.
Fly to Utah.
And this is my robot dog, Goddard.
Jimmy Neutron started as a short.
Best horror movie.
He looks like so.
Look at that.
It's like, uh,
really high mutton chops.
And he's 12.
Yeah, at least the dog state's scary.
Goddard looks really good in this.
Jimmy looks like shit.
You're a little garbage, John.
He looks really good.
Jimmy 5-9.
Okay, now, that was a slight detour.
That was a slight detour because now we have to go back to this thing about restaurant
reservations.
Oh, yeah.
So I asked Anesthesia, I said, how do you get a reservation?
And you said, I go to the website.
Maybe I call.
Maybe I use Open Table, Rezi, one of these apps that exists.
You know, I used to work at Yelp.
Yelp also has like a reservation.
thing. It'll kick out. I believe
OpenTable is now owned by Yelp.
I can't remember.
I can't keep things straight anymore. But anyway.
I'll just need the one book, thanks.
I'm going to Los Angeles.
I'll get myself a nice hard back.
Oh, dude. Wait, that's such a
techie accelerationist guy thing is having
one book and then like giving it
getting one new book.
He's got Saratoga water next to him. This feels like an
ARG.
What's this guy's career? We could figure
it out. He's going to do his morning routine.
All right.
And traditionally, because of the way that the internet has worked, at least for reservations,
it's been first come, first serve.
So anyone that comes in, no matter how important or how not important it might be,
you know, whoever gets in first gets the reservation.
Because like here's the thing about that is that in a society,
sometimes it's nice to get there first and then reserve your spot in life.
Yeah, suppose what you're doing is reserving it.
Well, also, I would say that most restaurants who have,
quote unquote important clientele, they'll not put that table up for reservation.
That table will be saved for walk-ins who they deem to be important.
Yeah, they don't like scan your credit score or something.
Yeah.
Until now.
Yay.
Yay.
Race score.
We're using the flock cameras to recognize your face.
And then we can tell how much you deserve to eat McDonald's.
We go to the Burbank Police Department and allow them to
stalk their ex. If they then go into a restaurant in Highland Park, they'll bash the door down.
You go to the local thudruckers and you're like, have you seen my ex? And they're like,
let's check our surveillance state. Oh, my God. She just ate sweet potato fries. And we implanted
those with a GPS tracking device. Yeah, you can use 300 generative tokens to send in SWAT.
Oh, yes. Well, that's what Twitch Chad does. I'm assuming he's going to say, and that's wrong.
to gauge importance of a person.
Over who gets there first.
What is this?
A equitable society where people are of equal
stature based not by their
wealth of their importance, but by
the color of their skin. Thank you.
And that's why I'm turning him into a half
black, half white podcaster.
Pow!
You wish, bro.
You couldn't handle it.
You couldn't handle the fucking
stolen valor.
I'm a captain.
Where did you serve?
How blacks your dad?
How blocks you're dead?
How popular's your pod?
But what if you had the ability for the agent to be able to communicate on both sides, communicate,
hey, this is important.
This is actually the person's, you know, the person's spouse's birthday.
The 30th birthday, a very special event is coming up.
And the restaurant, too, can say, let's actually prioritize birthdays or, you know, major decade birthdays.
This is the words of a 28-year-old person.
Yes.
the 30th birthday is coming up.
Yeah, it's like when it comes like,
I'm almost five and a half.
Yeah.
It's a pretty big deal.
So now it's saying prioritize birthdays.
Why would a restaurant care?
No offense.
Why would a restaurant care?
Well, you see, what you don't understand is that you've,
have you ever worked in a restaurant?
No, but I've worked in like food adjacent.
Oh, normal job.
You've had a normal job with normal people
in a normal society.
Yes.
You've reserved a restaurant and gone to it with friends.
What you failed to consider is that what if, like, I've never done any of those things.
And yet I'm trying to build a company that makes me rich and optimizes a world that I know nothing about.
What if I was born out of a resin 3D printer and constructed by like some guy with like pure black eyes?
It sucks because I like don't want to rag on the specific guy so much as when I see it.
I, this is such a product, like, I don't want to say product of an environment, but like,
there are so many of this guy.
What is speaking from experience?
He's more of a, he's more of a, like, placeholder for so many people, like, to speak like
this so confidently, you have to be in an environment that is full of like-minded people.
This is, uh, it's like, it's like trying to project and understand somebody that grew up in,
like, a hyper-religious environment or something where, like, I can't access the
currency in his brain because, now, bear in mind, this is the other side of the coin that makes
like an Altman where he is like aware of the evil that he is responsible for and has discarded
it as like, I don't fucking care.
Ultimately.
This guy is a true believer.
But I think it relates to Altman in the sense that it's like, um, he works in
AI and he's looking for an alternative to man.
There's, there's something that is.
Not necessary, but I want to force it into people's lives.
So yes, yes, yes.
This is exactly what the tech industry does and has done for a long time.
You like, for example, the game plan and the, like, M.O.
of these companies is always acquire users and then become profitable.
Displace any incumbents that you can.
That's remember disrupt.
Remember when that was the thing everybody was talking about?
That's the concept.
So you're Uber and you're like a black car service and because you have to niche down kind of like starting a small YouTube channel.
You have to niche down before you like branch out.
So then you eventually are like, okay, now it's taxis.
How can we essentially tell people that we've made taxis better?
And then once we've gotten enough market share that people aren't using taxis, we can make the service worse.
We will be worse than taxis.
It's Airbnb.
It's like hotels have these problems.
We're going to fix them.
What is actually making the experience better for you is subsidized costs based on the investment that the companies have raised.
The future you is what is making this cheaper.
Your bad experiences in five years is why we're giving you a good one right there.
And then destroying other industries to make themselves necessary.
Yeah.
It's like a hot swap.
And then like, 99% of the time it's a business, which is like the disruption is, why are we always using toilet paper? And then, oh, right. And then, no, no, no, but it's oh, right. 10 years down the line, they've IPOed. Everyone, everyone who works there is speaks at conferences and they're, they're multi-millionaires. And in year 11, they actually introduce the bathroom square. And in the bathroom square is actually something that you can use. It's a new invention.
invention and it's a reasonable subscription service where you get a parchment sent to your home
every week that you can use to wipe your ass nice and they were able to roll it up into a convenient
packaging scale you might be concerned that a long piece of paper it's called a scroll yeah yeah
you want it's a toilet it's a bathroom scroll scroll you can upgrade your subscription to deluxe
so it doesn't feel like sandpaper oh yes well so what they have is a a a
layered, a three-layered system.
P-lay, if you will.
That's actually the name of the company, p.ly.
P-d-L-Y.
P-D-L-Y, yeah.
It's a pun based on peeing.
It's a pun based on piss.
You cannot.
Pissly.
As a warning, you cannot use this for piss.
It is really unsafe.
Oh, you can't use it for piss.
Actually, you need our bidet attachment because if your ass is not clean as a fucking fiddle.
We're not even illegally.
allowed to say what will happen. Yeah. Well, yeah, it will
put asbestos spores in your butt.
Now look, that's how we got the business started.
We will take care of that in five years. Right now, there's a lot of
glass at it. Now, I was talking to my board member, Henry
Kissinger, and he said that, by the way, was on the board of Theranos.
Oh, no. In case anyone who's
curious, Henry Kissinger, this is not a joke, was
on the board of Thernas. Nature's
greatest monster, Henry Kissinger.
Yeah, generational run. He's like, I want to
He's like, I've done enough of ending life.
I want to see it continue.
I'd like, well, I'll talk about disruption.
Incredible job disrupting republics.
But that's, okay, there on us, that's a great example.
It's like, the TLDR, the Elizabeth Holmes story is.
Elizabeth Holmes is a student at Stanford.
She's in like, um, her bio-cam has never been swapped.
Her race has never been swapped.
Despite everything we've done.
And she's always posing for photos with plates of,
food hoping that one day it could happen.
Holding noodles in a total deck.
So Elizabeth Holmes, like when she's like 19 or whatever, she's like a biochem student
or something, she gets...
That sounds normal.
Yeah.
And then eventually has this idea for what if with just a prick of blood, you can get all these
tests done.
And then everyone goes, wow, that would be magic.
That would be incredible because that can't happen.
That's so cool.
All of her professors and all these people are saying,
ooh, the science, wouldn't it be nice also if there's a USB stick that, like, taught you
at a skateboard or whatever?
Why do I have to keep going to school when I can I just like lick a big book and I learn everything?
Right.
Can I touch the forehead like Goku?
He was asking Gohan what was happening on Namik and say, I got it.
Why are we wasting all this time over emails when I should just be able to touch my temple?
Right.
And so instead of saying a good call, that would be magic.
And it doesn't exist.
she goes to a bunch of people who are tech people, but not science people, and then says,
hey, wouldn't it be awesome if we had the magic device?
And then everyone goes, I will give you a million dollars for the magic device.
She becomes the youngest female billionaire in the world.
And then way, way, they're in Walgreens, you know, at this point.
because what happens is you're submitting your blood test and their machine doesn't work.
And so they actually...
I imagine if it did.
And so they literally farm it out to one of the existing machines that's existed for longer
than the company's been around.
So it was essentially a thin layer over something that has already existed where a bunch of people got rich.
And with not enough of a sample to accurately actually do these tests.
So like...
Yeah.
And then like it'd be like...
Bill Clinton or somebody, like, comes in for, to get a demo, and then they lie to him.
They essentially show him, like, what now it could be an AI video, where, like, you could
generate an AI video that says, like, wow, this is a, this was actually a real guy, and he's
jumping on a trampoline, and the trampoline turns into balloons.
Really?
Yeah, Bill.
Can I see it?
Mm-hmm.
Just sign this flight log.
And so the-
Well, he was probably in there getting his daily STD test.
I won again.
But anyway, like, it's rare that anything actually, I think I can't remember if I've said this on the show or if I've said this to you in real life, which is probably good.
Sometimes you can't remember.
But because there is a real life to be had outside of this.
Unfortunately.
But the, um, but yeah, like, the only thing that Elizabeth Holmes did wrong in the, in the eyes of the tech industry was flying too close to the sun on people's
actual health.
Yes.
But not people you know.
Because to her, it was just restaurant reservation.
Yep.
You know what I mean?
It's just, that gives, that lets her off the hook in terms of her like culpability and
stuff.
And I haven't seen the Nathan Fielder project.
Anyway, she is responsible for all the things that she did.
But the brain disease starts with like this.
This is, it's impenetrable in a way that makes discourse from like from an outsider to these
insiders almost impossible.
Like, that's where they can go on normal podcast.
They have to go on a show called like the money thinker because they if they go on a regular podcast, people go like, what?
Why would you want that?
Invest like the best.
Someone snaps your fingers and they go, that's good.
That's awesome.
That's good.
Did you get that AI Notetaker?
So this guy.
Let's go a little more.
Let's why.
No, no.
Let's continue now.
Sorry to go off on my.
I feel like I always go off on these rants about the tech industry.
We have I think residual.
Yeah.
Residual things to process and work our way through, which is.
You've bottled up so much over so long.
And I sold it for a subscription.
And you can buy it.
It's called Boilet.
We have a way of, so we're disrupting bathwater.
Me and my friend Bell Delphina working together to create a pre-washed bathwater.
Right, because you don't have to bet.
Because now you don't have to generate your dirty bath water yourself by taking a bath.
You can actually just get it shipped to you on a monthly cadence.
On a tiptoe the paper.
And you can get one of our bath squares.
Okay
Or major anniversaries
Or these certain people
I don't know
Whatever it might be right
You gotta wait
You gotta figure out the pitch a little more
I don't know something
Or some shit
I don't fucking know who cares
And also those people don't have enough
foresight for this important thing
So instead they're trusting the AIs
to get them to skip the line
Because of the important thing
Not just being like our anniversary is coming up
Maybe I'll plan something
It's my 50
15-year marriage anniversary.
GROC!
GROC!
GROC, help!
And it's like, I have some thoughts about mine come.
Okay, different.
Dibono, different.
So now with the ability, with all of the logistical, you know, burden of having to describe
exactly what your case is and what's happening and why it's important.
That wasn't a burden.
You just invented that in the sentence before.
That wasn't a burden.
Isn't that what I'm now having to do?
Don't you hate when you make a reservation at a restaurant and they're like, well, what's this for?
Prove that you need a.
table. No, literally he was like the agents should be talking to each other to figure out
like what's important. And then like, I mean, the logistics of having these agents argue.
And it's like, no, no, no, you invented that part. Yeah. That part didn't, doesn't exist.
No. I'm trying to get a table at a thunderbolt downtown. I call them and then they give me
the quiz from Blade Runner. Like, if you found a turtle in the desert, would you flip it over?
I'm kind of hungry. Can I come to the restaurant please? I don't know.
How many motorcycles are in this?
It's grid of nine of it is.
You know what's this?
I think that inside of me is a sleeper agent that can still like turn into this guy.
Oh, yeah.
I'm afraid that if I hear the wrong combination of numbers and digits,
I unlock like a fucking.
We're ethical vampires.
We only drink.
Come on.
Sorry.
Come on.
I unlock like a key.
Don't even need a key.
Anyway, that's why they call it a key.
It's in the name.
I should have thought about that.
You can use the key to unlock a big.
car.
Optimus Prime picks up the key it.
Unlocks a spaceship.
Takes the money for my tattoo out of the fucking glove compartment.
Sorry, I'm not resentful.
I needed it.
Okay.
Yeah, it is like, I'm,
it's like a dialect.
I'm like keying in.
I'm going to like, I can't.
I can't let myself get too close to this,
but I know what you're.
I mean,
I do love our ability to take 55 seconds and turn it into 30 minutes,
but I do have something else to say,
which is that I was,
on Discord with Raghav of Battle Room,
Pokemon VGC World.
And I said like, let's zoom out
and look at this at a high level or something like that.
And he's like, what do you mean high level?
And I was like, oh, sorry, my brain is broken.
Sorry, my bad.
That was crazy that I-
Oh, my God.
Because sometimes you've hit Enter before you realize what.
Oh, fuck.
You just reminded me of something.
A friend of mine,
let's circle back.
Beloved friend, very sweet person.
She was taking a work call.
and me and her partner were like overhearing her work call.
And everyone kept saying learnings.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And we were like, after she got off, we were like,
do you just mean lessons?
Because that's already a word.
I know.
But the thing about languages.
And also with your spirit.
You got it.
Learning's a word now, I guess,
because so many people say it.
I know.
It's a word that you know who that person is and when they use it.
It's like grammar.
It is, it's like arbitrary, but you have to learn it.
I think I'm guilty of using, of using learnings now.
I'll admit it.
This is extremely humiliating now that I think of it.
But there was, I, um, one of my previous relationships.
Yeah, I date.
Sorry to flex on them.
Oh, believe it when I say it.
I do kissing.
Well, I don't, but I could.
A previous relationship, we were having a difficult conversation about like,
here's where I think there's some divisions and like we can maybe work on this stuff but also
we're very different in these ways and blah blah blah and uh I before I caught the words granted
this was a lot closer to tech era that my career there and I unconsciously let out just like
speaking a lot of vague terms but like what are our action items because that is the sentiment I
I do actually want to know what we're going to do.
Yes.
And nothing else is working here, but that, I don't know what the words are outside of that
because in the real world, if you say like, what are our to-does?
What should we do next?
It stays vague.
People don't actually do anything.
They were like, I don't know.
I definitely, when I immediately have to leave in the tech industry, every time I was
talking to someone normal, I would feel like myself code switching.
Like having to.
Like having to not say the thing that came to mind.
Now we have the ability to to perfectly match what does the restaurant want?
What does the user want?
And that will result in more special events for the users being able to actually have a
spot in the restaurant.
The question is, and this is what has always confused me about restaurant reservations,
why am I making it and why would the restaurant want me to?
It doesn't make any...
That's the question that their interviewer isn't asking because they
They don't, they've also never worked at a restaurant.
There's no one there.
This is a one shot.
This is so typical of, I think, America as well.
Like, I do think this is part of American culture to be like so.
And maybe I'm wrong, but it feels American to me to be like,
I want to do something important.
Manifest destiny shit.
Manifest destiny shit.
So instead of actually living in the world, observing it, seeing where needs exist,
they are instead just being like, here's what we're going to do.
You know, and it's like.
Because the name of the game is what is the market opportunity that I can capture to get rich?
Yeah.
Because the real motivation is everyone 100xing their money and finding, and it is a separate
meta game where that's the puzzle.
Everything else is MPCs.
It's like when, you know, like live streamers are like more focused on getting
dubs in the chat than like having any like semblance of like politeness to like other
people who are.
I just don't know who you could mean.
Or even like honestly making entertainment.
Yeah.
It's like they don't think about entertainment value or the product that they're making.
They just think what's going to get me dubs in the chat?
What's going to be dubs in the chat?
Or even like a movie executive is thinking about risk.
Yes.
And they're thinking about the bullet AI agent told them that like their movie has to have like three black people on the right and two white white people on the left.
And they're asking the creative behind the thing.
How can we look, I understand this is actually about green aliens, but how can we get three black people on the right and two white people on the right?
Because I can't really understand why anybody would want art.
So I'm just going to go ahead and say some stuff and you make it.
This is true in like so many, like even fast food.
They're like, how do we take something people love and turn it into trash that everyone hates?
And it's like, why are you doing this?
And the answer is money.
It's like why Toys R Us went away.
It's private equity.
It's like Stavros was on someone's podcast.
Was it Poblatoria?
Yeah, he was on Poblootori's podcast talking about, I want to say Wendy's got bought by like private
equity and then just like made everything worse.
Yeah.
And it's like if things are getting worse, it's because someone found a way to essentially take
something that you love, hollow it out, Trojan horse it to everyone as if it's
still, it's windy still, it's windy still.
And it takes them a while for the routine and the affinity that people have for the brand
to like wear off.
It has to be bad for a while.
It's a cool down.
It's a habits to change.
And in the meantime, you harvest cash.
Yeah.
You've, it's a rug pull.
Yeah.
It is a rug pull.
It is a ropehole.
It's sentiment instead of cash.
It's like affection.
It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, you bought a chest full of gold de blooms, but there's,
they drilled a hole inside and they took them all out.
Yeah, they just falling out.
And then, but they showed you right at the start.
You're like, this photo.
And then, but then it's only up the top level.
And then you, the second you reach in, you realize you've been had.
Spiders.
Also, you go to open the chest.
It's a cardboard cut out.
It's a cardboard.
It's a photo of a chest.
It's a photo of a chest.
They showed you were really far away.
It's all good.
Okay.
So now that we've talked about tech CEOs and AI, let's talk about tech CEOs and AI because there was recently a AI.
I know.
Sorry, I move at a fat.
I move at a breakneck speed.
We're a couple milked nodes.
We move fast and break things around here.
We milk nerds.
There was a super intelligence summit, United States.
Yes.
Where like Dario Amadeh and Zuck and Sundar Pachai, yeah, basically all the fucking best guys.
Cashmettelle hanging out in the locker room.
Yeah, Casperl is pushed in a locker by these freaking hosses.
By these shabs.
By these freaking shacks.
I sent in Slack a tiny video of...
Why would you do that to Jacob?
Of our Lord and Savior.
His screen isn't even...
He's on a smaller screen than usual.
I know he can't.
And he gives him the tiniest video in the land.
It is...
It does look like Jacob's DJ.
Oh, I'm so sorry that I sent it, Blue Sky.
What the hell is wrong with you?
Look, I'm not.
on there sometimes. I know, me too. Sometimes I get on, or actually, no, I'm not, but I sometimes
am on threads by accident. And then I go, what's going on over here? And the, the threads algorithm
knows only one thing about me, and it's that I'm single in LA. And so it just shows me threads
of people being like, all right, single people. Let's post a photo of ourselves and our age and what
location we're in. Oh, my God. And then our address, our date of birth, mother's maiden name, guys.
come on and then it'll be like 30
Los Angeles
and then it's like a like a yesified
AI photo of them where they look like
fucking Johnny
Neumonic
I was trying to I couldn't remember Quasar
I really hate when I'm scrolling
Instagram and there's
a little video I'm like what's this I click on
it it takes me to threads I'm like
I wasn't on threats
it's like a trap
in this frame Trump
looks like
Dana Carvey's character for Master in disguise.
And then Elvis's legs are dancing below.
This looks like a semi-convincing AI-generated video.
Right. It's like it's getting so good.
It's so close. He has two left feet.
Look at the size of his hands. This can't be real.
Look at how he's standing.
His body's rotated 90 degrees off of its axis.
Like a century.
He's turned.
It kind of looks AI.
I mean, I know that's what he's talking about.
He's talking about it's not called AI anymore.
It's called Super Intelligence, SI, or what he calls it, Si.
I'm going to do it.
No, you've got to, no, yeah, you've got it.
Your butt's out.
So, can we find the, I think if you were to go on Twitter and type like Dario or Zuck,
you would see clips from this thing.
You could probably even do SI conference or Super Intelligence conference.
Is it like, I'm always searching for videos where people are talking casually and they don't include the like tags.
You know what I mean?
Like, or kind of the keywords.
Oh, dude, the devastating moment when you think you found the right video and Stitch incoming.
Oh, yeah.
Here we go.
Yeah, and it's like the title is I've watched this video 20 times.
Oh.
Oh, unflattering image.
That guy's face looks like the guy behind Trump looks like his face was changed with AI.
has said, you know, and then, and then Zuck.
Who's that massive guy?
And then Zuck is just like, look at him.
He's flirting, dude.
He's happy to be out of the house.
Look at, this is, look at him.
Wait, like, watch Zuck.
We can just mute this actually.
Like this body language is fucking crazy.
Find someone that looks at you like that.
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, what's being whispered to him, I wonder.
Never.
I love you, Mr. President.
That's such a good point.
Is it Dario who's talking?
Yeah, it's Darry.
he was talking.
They're making fun of him.
Probably.
They're being boys in the back of the class.
Not to,
um,
Beckdale test this or whatever,
but like,
like,
all white men.
Well,
I was going to say,
not even just Becktel test,
but like,
this is a clone,
like these guys all look the same.
Well,
that's because,
like you change one slight thing.
Glasses,
no glasses,
gray hair,
red hair.
Like,
it's a metaphor for how AI
steals from real things
and just copies it.
It's like if everyone in the party chooses to play Captain Falcon,
there has to be different skins so you can differentiate.
It's like they all started with the same character creator and then...
Right.
No, yeah, Trump and Zuck had that first to 10 where the winner got to keep the original suit color.
And Trump won bluest blue.
I ordered the PS5 deluxe edition and it gave me the ugliest tire history.
And then Zuck said my B.
in an abstract way it's really hard to think about like
why the fuck are these guys always around like what are these guys
why do we constantly have to hear about them
and I do think this this moment when they're all stood together
having a little moment with the boys
is the end game yeah the money is there and all of that stuff
but then it's like well now you have infinite money why are you still here
it's so that you can stand around with the only community you've ever had
which is the fellas that are also killing everyone
well and it's just feeling important I do think
a lot of...
Chuckling coquettishly next to the president.
Yeah.
Like what the lure of power is,
in part, is just feeling important.
Feeling important and powerful.
There's the CNN headline that kind of makes me laugh
because it says, and it's about this conference,
top AI executives sign commitment to, quote, self-police.
Yeah, this is the self-regulating agreement.
This is the when we've conducted an internal investigation.
Great news.
Nothing bad happened, actually.
Don't worry about it.
I asked myself, and I said that everything's cool.
Everybody should freaking chill.
Everybody should never felt better.
If you search Sundar, who is the CEO of Google, there's a Trump quote where basically
just talks about how nobody knows who Sundar Pachai is, and he gets to be really rich.
Oh, yeah, here it is.
Yeah.
You have no idea who these people are.
These are the biggest people in the world.
You have no idea who now they are.
This guy is a monster and nobody knows.
What a great life?
To be a monster and not have to go through this.
What's your name?
What's your name?
Just what you have to know is Sundar.
Sundar is his name.
A better tagline than I'm a monster, but I think is great.
He's like, Mr. President, you're saying the quiet part out loud.
Jesus Christ, we were kidding.
Sundar Pachai was the Google, or I guess Alphabet, a guy who took over after Larry Page and Sergey, like, kind of stepped away from, like, day to day stuff.
I like how the journalists are like, we know who he, we're tech journalists.
We know who he is.
What are you talking about?
I mean, the face he made after he said that, like, when I say, like, this is what it's all for, this is like, oh, it's my birthday, 30th birthday, but the biggest one, of course.
it's my birthday and then someone like spikes your cortisol and you have a bad birthday
he's been waiting all year for this big conference with all of his boys with all of his
funny little boys and then the president comes along and ruins the vibe for you and he was like
oh i'm calling us oh i for uh official intelligence oh we're we're a couple of
an intelligent gentleman i like this okay and speak
on that. And this is the end of the podcast. But, but I'll speak on that on Sad Boys Nights. No, I won't.
But what we will be speaking on on Sad Boys Nights is we got more poppy time. We've got poppy play
time. But not that one. Oh, no. We've got the dog. Oh, God. What are we done?
We're hanging out with, uh, Joyce. Her name's Fang now. Her name's Blade. Her name's
Vegeta Blade.
Damn it.
Well, we can always say Poppy Joy.
Yeah.
Poppy.
But PJ.
She's PJ.
She's PJ.
PJ.
PJ.
Poppery joy.
Poplar.
The poplar.
Poglet.
Vigito.
She's hearing her name and she's.
I know.
We need to go play with the dog.
But we will be playing with the puppy on patreon.com.
com.
Savboys.
Make sure to only use your discretionary entertainment spending.
We're also going to watch some comedy music video.
We're going to watch the new Kyle Gordon video.
I wanted to show to everybody.
We're going to laugh.
We're going to play some new word games that we found.
I'm going to rub our bellies chuckle.
We're going to rub our bellies and chuckle, I guess.
And I think Jacob wanted to do little race swapping stuff, so we can have a look at.
There are a few words.
Let me be black.
You just do fresh ones.
He's pitching newsletters.
We end every episode of Stab Boys with a particular phrase.
We love you.
And we're sorry.
Bye.
Looking that future girl
Future girl
Yeah we are now
Take my money
Go away
Oh you want it
Go too rich for me
