Starting point is 00:00:02 That's fine. Not too much. M. Ray, the two euros here, recommending sharp objects on HBO. Love you guys. Yeah, cool. That's the same guy. I think the same director is a big little lies.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Yeah, to be honest, most shows on HBO seem which is worth checking out in some way or another. Yeah, HBO's good. Good stuff. 20-5% of ACP underrated with 10 US dollars, With superheroes on the way out like zombies before it, what genre do you think will be the next, to be the max big thing in the zeitgeist, taking all bets?
Starting point is 00:00:41 I think we've referenced this on the show before. Video game movies, and it's already happening. Like, we were just talking about that League of Legends show and the Sonic movie was a huge success. The Uncharted bullshit's coming out. People are like just accepting it now, I guess. because all the kids who grew up with video games are going out to see movies all the time
Starting point is 00:01:05 and they're making movies themselves now so yeah right I think that's a good call I think that's a very safe bet yeah very safe yeah I think superhero still got a long time
Starting point is 00:01:17 yeah yeah we're not at the end of that they're not they might be on the way out but yeah you still got you know it's still got years
Starting point is 00:01:25 of superhero movies probably oh yeah yeah it's gonna die You reach burnout. Scambling, yeah. They'll die very slowly. Yeah, and it's going to be
Starting point is 00:01:37 pathetic and annoying. Vladimir Pelusian has five pounds. I don't know if that's the first pounds sign of scene here. You mentioned a Sardonicas Disney World Trip in an older episode.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Do you think it will ever happen? I'd be down for it. It was always the plan, but obviously COVID happened in Florida. Right. It's pretty fucked up in terms of COVID.
Starting point is 00:02:00 stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Makes things difficult, right. Is that Hennessy, too? What did you grab? I grabbed some cognac, which I think is similar enough to Hennessy. This is a Corvocier.
Starting point is 00:02:17 It's here because my mom drinks it, and she visits me sometimes, and she'll always buy a bottle, and then it's just here. It's like almost the same thing, I think. Yeah, I figured it was pretty similar. My thing says cognac on it.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Okay. There we go. Jobby the Hong. Is it a congnaque. Cogneck. Yeah, Jobby the Hong with a hundred of U.S. dollars here. Sorry? Jobby the Hong with a hundred bucks here.
Starting point is 00:02:44 That's a lot. Yeah. Thank you. Big fan of the podcast and your individual channels. Keep it up. Thank you, Joby. So, Ralph and Alex, I'm not sure if you were aware before, but. Streaming is lucrative.
Starting point is 00:02:57 It really is. I don't have like a, I don't have like a, I don't have like it. I don't have like a big Twitch stream or anything. But people that, so, you know, this is like a one-off celebratory. We're not going to do this all the time. But there's people that pull in like these numbers and these amount of super chats like every single time they stream. Jeez. And that's not even like the top streamers.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Like it's insane. It's absolutely insane. It's nuts. People love it, man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I'm really curious about this one here from Mr. Lucky to Connecticut. two Canadian dollars Reid Ridley's quote about why Last Dual flopped Have you read this? Why don't you just posted it? Is it a long quote? It wouldn't fit in the
Starting point is 00:03:38 Yeah, I'm not sure I'll try and find it He's got another movie coming out He's got that house of Gucci Which doesn't look great I believe it's pronounced Gucky Gucky
Starting point is 00:03:46 I'm kidding I don't think so Whatever I see the Gucci story I'm like Gucky You Gucky apathetic millennials oh yeah
Starting point is 00:03:59 sorry yeah you found yeah the internet pardon me yeah it's that one yeah Ridley Scott blames millennials and their damn
Starting point is 00:04:06 cell phones ooh for making the last dual a flop Ridley Scott thinks young people won't listen to anything unless it happens
Starting point is 00:04:12 on a phone Ridley Ridley Scott is certainly getting around today while promoting a house of Gucci gucky sorry
Starting point is 00:04:19 blah blah where's the actual quote that's that's that's that's boomer energy persona Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Scott's take The Disney dropped the ball after taking the last duel when it brought out 20th century Fox which is something he told Maron he was concerned about
Starting point is 00:04:35 but that too many movie goes these days brought up on these fucking cell phones that's a quote Yes, if you had Ridley Scott thinks the last dual flop because of millennials
Starting point is 00:04:44 you may pick your prize at the door, congratulations so I guess that's I'm sorry, did you make it for millennials? Like, yeah, apparently,
Starting point is 00:04:54 yeah. It all. also just looked like the most boring movie ever made. Like, I watched the trailer. I'm like, this doesn't look unique in any way. This looks like a film that has been made a billion times. That's why I didn't watch it. Perhaps the trailer was misleading.
Starting point is 00:05:09 And then that would be a reason why it would flop. You know, you could say the trailer was misleading. But not just like, millennials are supposed to watch my movies because they're the ones that are for thinking people. Like, fuck. Right. All right. My millennial brother watched it.
Starting point is 00:05:25 he thought it boring. You should tweet Ridley my millennial brother's on his phone. Sometimes I joke about people tweeting others and then I realize that could be considered targeted harassment so don't don't tweet at others ever. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:05:38 don't use Twitter. Delete your Twitter. That's my advice. It kind of invalidates Redley Scott's argument if a millennial went to go see the movie. He's like, yeah, it was boring. Here. attention, I believe it.
Starting point is 00:05:48 We're all drinking cognac. Oh, yeah. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers to 100 episodes and 100 more. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Pretty good. You definitely feel that good, huh? It's my mom's favorite drink. Yeah. Yeah, quite warm. I'm coniac. Yeah. Daniel Molina, I've had dreams where you guys talk about Disco Elysium and your first game discussion.
Starting point is 00:06:10 As your first game discussion. We did talk about Last of Us. We've talked about a few games. We talked about Spider-Man, PS-For or so? I don't know. That's true. It wasn't the first. I mean, none of them were the game recommendation, I guess.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Last of Us, too, in particular, we were actually planning to talk about. I wound up doing an extra game stream to make sure I could finish it in time for the episode. Anyway, then I wake up and I realize I'm in the wrong timeline. Either way, keep up the great work and stay safe. Thank you so much. I have not played discolyssium. Samir Humayan.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Congrats on episode 100. I love this podcast. Thoughts on Netflix slash Riot Game Series Arcane. None of us have seen it yet. Sorry, we were answering that earlier. I'll check it out. Yeah, I don't know if I will. I'll wait for you too first.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Maybe at some point, yeah. Eliglogged. Hey guys, so happy you finally met. What music or artists are you listening to now? I said earlier spelling the turning wheel. Yeah, we all together. We all kind of answer that one. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Jake Dyer. Hey, Adam, can you do an Adam and Pell's thing on Pan 2015 featuring Hugh Jackman? It's a perfect so bad. It's good to watch. Yeah, maybe, but I would also, if I were to do that, I would probably want to rewatch the other ones, right? like original Peter Pan and maybe even like hook from the 90s. That look is so generic that Pan movie.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Yeah. You know what's cool? I haven't actually listened to this yet, but on Matt Johnson's The Dirties DVD Blu-ray thing, there's like a file of a commentary audio only for just the film, Matt and like Owen and the people that made the movie doing a commentary recording in the same way that I would do an Adam and Pals one for the 1991 hook film.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And I haven't checked it out yet, but it just seems so funny that they would do that. Is that some end joke I don't understand? Yeah, I don't know. I think they just figured they just like the movie. I mean, his entire persona as a filmmaker and everything he encapsulates is like he's a movie fan. So it's almost like a no-brainer. Oh yeah, I have a lot of things to say about this sort of thing. Adrian Africa, hey guys, are there any directors who you disagree with on what their best work is?
Starting point is 00:08:24 example, Dennis Villeneueva believing Dune is his best work yet. Well, then there's one right there. I don't believe that... That's funny. I don't believe that Danny Bilne. I know, right? It might be marketing.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Yeah. I think that is, yeah. Yeah. They really want to sell the movie, yeah. Yeah, we were in Walmart and in the DVD bin. There was Prisoners of the Ghostland and Nicholas Cage. And on the front cover, it was a quote from Nicholas Cage saying,
Starting point is 00:08:53 my craziest movie yet. I've never seen that before. Like an actor in the movie on the quote. Yeah. Well, next time you're at Walmart. That's the kind of thing you'd expect to see at Walmart. Aidan. Which one of Madagascar characters is the biggest gooner?
Starting point is 00:09:14 I forget what gooner is. Do you know what goonings? I think gooning is a term for like being... I think it's a sex term. It's like a I think it's like A obsession with pornography Like Yeah it's like a community of people
Starting point is 00:09:29 There's like a gooning subreddit and shit It's cool Goon squad Yeah Yeah the goonings squad Yeah they're just like Hyper obsessed with porn And like we're just
Starting point is 00:09:38 Goon to porn all day long And that's like the Gooning thing As you just keep going and going Goon in all day long Should we look up Gooning? Should we look at the
Starting point is 00:09:48 Precise definition Yeah find an actual precise one It's hard to describe you know Urban Dictionaries Yeah Yeah go open dictionary Have you heard of a gooning ruff?
Starting point is 00:10:00 I haven't heard of it before this moment You're about to find out the truth So it's just edging Sounds interesting It's just edging Mm-hmm Yeah So which Madagascar character is the biggest
Starting point is 00:10:10 Guna? Obviously the Brian Cranston Tiger Done I feel like Melman's Probably a guna Why? The giraffe I don't know He's like pining for
Starting point is 00:10:22 Gloria but you can't quite have a I think he's got like a stash a Gloria stash probably yeah he's that kind of guy it's the impression I go yeah I don't know I don't know how to answer this question just say Motto I agree with Alex
Starting point is 00:10:38 thank you Ralph I agree with the expert thank you Liam for the 10 dollars that's Liam that did the Sardana cast in the nutshell videos um Evo anime have you seen the new cowboy beepup American remake uh no we were just talking about it. Thank you. Sergeant Pinecone, what upcoming movie are you guys most excited for?
Starting point is 00:10:57 I know Adams is Saw Spiral 2. That's not announced yet. That's just my wish for a movie. I saw some of the stuff from your stream where you're watching the behind the scenes of Saw Spiral stuff? It's fucking crazy. I know. It's another like John Favreau situation. It's like that level of like what the fuck you think of. Yeah, that's why I haven't made the video yet. There's too much to uncover here. I don't want to, I don't want to just fart out a video when there's a greater issue at hand. Sure. I haven't seen this. So what do you mean exactly?
Starting point is 00:11:28 Incompetence or like just... They're reasoning for making the film. And also there's an entire featurette on the Saw Spiral Blu-ray where they have interviews from Chris Rock and then the filmmakers, like Darren Lynn Bausman, some of the writers, some of the producers. And as it's going through each of the interviewees and they're talking about the film,
Starting point is 00:11:49 they're saying entirely contradictory things. about it and whoever edited together this featurette either was unaware or was just like well I was told to do this and there was no communication it's like you can't even make a featurette without contradicting what like it seems like everybody had a different idea of what the movie was supposed to be what the
Starting point is 00:12:06 goals were and like yeah it was just so bizarre it was like Chris Rock saying like oh what if what if you made heat but it was Eddie Murphy I'm Eddie Murphy this is if you the saw spiral is if you made
Starting point is 00:12:21 seven, but with Eddie Murphy. I'm like, first of all, you're not Eddie Murphy, and second, no, that wouldn't work. It doesn't have to be Eddie Murphy. He's like a famous actor. He just keeps saying it. It's so weird. It's like his mantra that he's... Yeah, it reminds me of the fan of menace documentary. George Lucas, kind of, his delusional
Starting point is 00:12:41 and kind of, you know... It's going to be great. It's going to be great. There's a video on the... It's just a bad decision making. There's a video on the YMS Highlights Channel where I go over some of it if you're interested. But yeah, it's like, absolutely. just ridiculous. It's so nuts. It's so bizarre. If there's one thing I love doing, it's using filmmaker's own words against them to make them look stupid.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Yeah. You gotta like dig for those. Andy Hustley, hey Adam, someone pointed out to me that you have my two hour long, I'm thinking of anything's video in your Faves playlist. Glad you enjoyed it. All of you are a big inspiration. Yes, that was a good. Nice video. Thank you. Dick Butt. I like the Sardonicast. NGL, meaning not going to lie. Thanks, Dick Butt.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Thank you, Dick Butt. The pretentious blog, I know Adam has seen Solaris, and I think Ralph has. What are your guys' thoughts on? Yeah, I haven't seen this one out. Oh, yeah. I prefer Stalker by a mile, but there are things that I love about both movies that help me better understand the character and consistency of the director for Tarkovsky, where it's like, okay, I see.
Starting point is 00:13:50 I can almost imagine your other films as an entire body of work having seen the consistency in those two films. I'd watch it again. I would also like to watch the George Clooney one to compare.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Yeah, I need to see the George Clooney one. It's great, the Tchaikovsky one. His science fiction movies are fantastic. They're very grounded. Even that one feels very grounded. Borgadeth. Want to hear your thoughts on an elephant
Starting point is 00:14:18 sitting still? Well, I will watch it someday. I don't think any of us have yet. It was on the list for the votes. I don't remember. It was definitely in the subreddit. Maybe it didn't make the cut. Donnie Edwards, congrats on 100.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Would love to hear you all discuss the underrated and underseen masterpiece. A Simple Plan, 1998, directed by Sam Ramey. That one's been intriguing to me. I would love to see it, actually. Billy Bob's in it, I think. But I haven't seen it. Yeah. Billy Bob, star of Eagle Eye.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Eagle Eye, thank you. Billy Bob. Dr. Dude FM, who would you all say are your favorite and least favorite content creators within the YouTube or film community? Favorite content creator, Ralph the Movie Maker. Least favorite, Alex from IAG. Done. Yeah, my favorites, Ralph the Movie Maker, my least favorite is probably YMA. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I hate Alex and Alex. That's it. I don't have a favorite. I just hate Alex. I hate everything. I hate Alex. I don't know. Favorite.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Also, you can't say your least favorite with this audience without starting drama, so we're not. Yeah, fuck that. Yeah, sure, exactly. Sid Beretta, fun fact, Mr. Robert Zombie began, recording music to break into directing films inspired by exploitation films in the 1970s. Good job, boys, keep it up. Okay, thanks for the fun fact.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Marshall Stovall. Hey guys, what do you think of the films by S. Craig Zoller? I think I hate all of them. I think they're all bad, and I think they're all overrated. I think he did brawl and cell block 99, if I'm thinking of the right person. He did... S. Craig, what, sir? S. Craig Zoller.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Z-A-H-L-E-R. Yeah, I think he's just made a bunch of movies that I think are stupid, and a lot of people like them. some reason. I think I've seen Burn Tomahawk. I don't really remember much about it. Exactly. There was some gore at the end. That's about, that's the whole movie. I only watched like five minutes of it. I watched five minutes of that. I couldn't even watch it. I was watching it with other people. I don't know why that broke out. I don't know why anybody was recommending that to me. Yeah, brawl and so. Because the cast, per Russell. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That too.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Bone Tomahawk, 3.6. Yeah. Yeah, it's one of those things I'm confused about because I don't like any other movies. Where's Pucci asks or says, love the cast, ever thought of doing a, doing like a criterion roulette where you guys use a randomizer and watch a random criterion title? I mean, we kind of just let the audience decide, which I think is just as good. I would rather do that than a randomizer because then we know that. Small kind of interactive. Yeah, we know that we're covering things that at least people want us to talk about,
Starting point is 00:17:16 even if they're not like great. Right, right. Marky Sharky, y'all going to watch any shark movies? You should watch some shark movies. Well, we could... What was the Will Smith one? I've seen too many sharp movies already. Dreamworks?
Starting point is 00:17:31 Deep Blue Sea. Oh, yeah. Oh, Shark Tale. Thank you. Yeah, let's do that one. Shark Tale. Owen Delaney, thank you for $5. Da Vinco.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Thank you for the five Australian peasant dollars. Love the podcast. Thank you. Moldy. Now you guys watch Tokyo Story. I'd love to see you guys watch some Curisawa movies. Yes, we have not done a Kurosawa. on the podcast yet.
Starting point is 00:17:53 I'm just waiting for Ralph to do it. Seems up to Zelle to recommend a Kurisawa. Oh, all right. We're waiting for you to recommend a Kurisawa and Boogie Knights. Yeah, okay. I mean, you don't have to, but we're not going to do it. My next picks are going to be a little predictable.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Matias. I know Adam likes Lord of War, but has Alex or Ralph seen it? if not could be a good film suggestion wink have you seen lord of war that's nick cage right nick cage isn't it right and jared letto oh really yeah in a movie that yeah i haven't seen it in a long time but i remember enjoying it um yeah the writer of uh the writer of the trimit show and in time director yeah okay okay um before he started making only bad movies all right and time is here that's bad
Starting point is 00:18:49 I think Lord of War is solid I think I liked it more when I was younger all I'm going to say about it without spoiling it for the other podcast co-hosts who haven't seen it is that it does kind of follow the same
Starting point is 00:19:05 formulas and tropes and cliches of a lot of other movies you know like the crime story you know it's like it's a better version of Johnny Depp's blow. Okay. But it also has a political message.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Anyway, Redwood Studios. Thank you for the 499. Robert Kessier. Congrats on 100. Adam. Boys, Adam, when are you going to have a muckbong collab with Nicco Cato? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Next time I'm in Vegas, maybe I'll hit him up. I'm sure he would love that. Would you wear his shirt as well? To that muckburn? Yes. You'd have to. Yes, I would.
Starting point is 00:19:42 You'd have to. I would totally do that. No. This episode is sponsored by Nicacado Avocado Ryan Waltersson Today's the 30th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast
Starting point is 00:19:53 And an American tale Fival goes west What a lovely day Thank you Wow 30 years I'ma Emikida Thoughts on historically
Starting point is 00:20:03 Irresponsible Films Boy in Stripe Pajamas I actually haven't seen that one So I don't know how historically I don't know if that's Yeah I don't like it's based off a children's book Is it children's
Starting point is 00:20:15 I've read the book and I've seen the film. It's been a while, though. I don't know what they mean by irresponsible, though, necessarily. Yeah, I don't really either. It was pretty similar to the book from memory. Do you guys think that watching a film for the first time high or under the influence, a valid source of criticism? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Do you think writing a YouTube comment under the influence a valid source of criticism? this is asked by potato by the way or do you need to watch it again sober to understand before criticizing I think that there are some films as long as you're honest about the conditions in which you want it watch it some people gave me shit for saying I didn't finish I forget what movie what was it it was one of the Oscar ones
Starting point is 00:21:01 it was like kind of feminist I think that might have been why people were met it was um mm-hmm yeah I don't know feminist um you've won best screenplay this last year anyway I said I didn't finish it the first time and people were like really upset about that. Uh, not always do people get upset when I don't finish a movie, but I think it's perfectly valid to express your experience of a film and also express the conditions under which you watched the film. Yeah. So if you want to say I was trashed,
Starting point is 00:21:29 that's information that you can give to your audience, why they, where they might be like, okay, I'm going to take this with a grain assault then. Or, you know, like, you can watch a movie however you want. You can show it off halfway through. As long as you're honest. Exactly. Like, there's nothing wrong with that as long as you say that that's... I usually say, like, I usually say how I see a movie. Like, I saw it in the theater. Just, you know, it's the same thing. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Yeah. I agree with you. Yeah. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Exactly. A chill gummy. Which actors or actresses facial hair? Do you most want to brush with your hand? It's quite a specific one.
Starting point is 00:22:07 John Waters Pencil Mustache. I got to feel that texture. That one seems the most interesting. Oh, yeah. Like, I wouldn't be able to do it anywhere else, you know? Mm-hmm. Fuck. Facial hair.
Starting point is 00:22:19 He's like a big facial hair actor. Gerard Butler's got a big beard. Yeah, but do I want to be put my hands over his face? I don't know, do you? Not particularly. All right. It's, uh, yeah, I guess. But isn't that, like, actors, like, they constantly, oh, whatever.
Starting point is 00:22:38 They're always shit. They sometimes, like, do they sometimes have beers? They're sometimes shaving them off for the roll. I don't know. Razao. Have you guys heard of the fan film Spider-Man Lotus? It's by GJK, who's only 18 and has a lot of fan support. No, I haven't, but I have no. Add that to the watch list, I guess.
Starting point is 00:22:56 A fan film Spider-Man Lotus by an 18-year-old, apparently. Oh. Have you heard of it? Oh, I have heard of that, yeah. I haven't seen it, but I've heard of it, yeah. Is it live action? I think so. Yeah, okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:23:10 It sounds like it could have some charm. Remind me to check it out later. I like fan films. Yeah. I usually do. Nine times out of ten, I usually like them. Player phase. Hey guys, long time fan of the podcast.
Starting point is 00:23:22 First time supporter, do you ever have plans to suggest more games on the podcast? Love the Last of Us 2 discussion a few months back and would love to hear more. That's up for any of us to do. Usually games are so long, though, that like... It's difficult to recommend, be like, hey, everybody who I'm doing a podcast with, do you want to take more time out of your week to do this than normal?
Starting point is 00:23:42 Again, it's about the scheduling. like The Last of Us in Spider-Man, just, we were all playing it already. It just made sense. Yeah, some games are shorter than others, so it might, you know, might not be impossible. But there's already so many movies we haven't seen. It need to cover that it's difficult to even get to that point where we're talking about. Christian Martinez, thanks for the entertainment and movie discoveries. You guys have made my work commutes bearable.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Much love from Southern California. Well, I hope you only work once every two weeks because that's how often we record. Owen Delaney. There's another Owen in here and it's not me. Only my second super chat. Well, which one did you? I don't think it was Delaney that I was saying was commenting a bunch.
Starting point is 00:24:23 You misinterpreted me. But thanks for giving us $5 to tell me that. Faze Mickey B. Are you guys excited for Eldon Ring? I don't get excited for anything. I'm pretty much at that level. From software, pretty dependable. Yeah, I'll play it when it's out.
Starting point is 00:24:40 You played Sakaro yet? was that was coinciding with my tendonitis escapades so I took a break but but I'll get back to it I'm slowly starting to do my exercise streams again but securo was a very like like so that's timing but in mashing right whereas like halo I'm just it's a very smooth I don't I'm not doing anything like annoying with my wrist but I'll get back into cicero I'm like it's really fucking good I'm like 80% through it and I fucking hated the game for the first 30% Really?
Starting point is 00:25:14 But... Did it click at some point? I got used to it. I'm still very frustrated with some of the mechanics and how they presented it like, I guess from a intuitive sort of sense. I thought that like some of the...
Starting point is 00:25:26 More like the UI, not the UI, but I guess the way that certain things behave in the game, I thought it was like very unintuitive. I was like, there are things where it's like, okay, this goes against my gut
Starting point is 00:25:37 for how this would work. And it wasn't even, it wasn't in like a Dark Souls, like, ha ha, we're trying to be, bu, blah, but,
Starting point is 00:25:42 but, but, like, opposite of what you think sort of way. Um, yeah,
Starting point is 00:25:45 so whenever I published my Sekiro playthru, just be aware, the first 10 parts are going to be very annoying. It's going to be a lot of me complaining. So,
Starting point is 00:25:56 um, but then I become a pro. And there's many bosses I beat on the first try that people are like, whoa. Oh, really? What's like when you beat first try? I don't know what they're named.
Starting point is 00:26:06 What's like the, what they look like? The woman that had, you have the, you're supposed to have like, like the poison things before entering. Yeah. And I didn't even use them.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Lady 9. I didn't even use that. People thought that that was like a cool achievement. I think I beat the... Oh wait, fanboy might have some answers here. Fanboys actually... He edits my... Two monkeys.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Is that one of them? The monkey thing I got on the first try? After the first encounter, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I did the two monkey thing first time. Not the first time you fight that fuckery. I gotta play that again. It's good.
Starting point is 00:26:38 It's really good. I love that again. I feel like it's, you know, I was loathing the first however much of it because I was just frustrated with a few aspects of it. But yeah, getting more familiar with it. It's something that I would beat and then beat again, particularly because you can't access all the bosses in one play-through.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah, they do have some really awkward stuff in terms of accessing some hidden bosses. That's kind of annoying, but whatever. I like the game anyway. Yeah, I really like that game. Good. Yeah, cool. Trolley Town Big Business.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Thank you for the $2. Poet Boy, thank you for the $1. Blame it on The Bubble. Who was the spill.com crew member you agreed with the most? I haven't watched enough to be able to say I agree with the most, so I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Ralph, I guess you've watched a lot of them. Yeah, I watched so much spill. Yeah, I don't know. That was part of the fun of having. having four different members on it or five back in the day. They were all right sometimes. Yeah, all different opinions. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Usually Corey was usually right. I liked Cyrus. Yeah, usually Corey. Cyrus, yeah. Cyrus is good. Adam thoughts on Bird Boy. Sorry. Gary the editor says.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Call out went on to write Dr. Strange. Yeah, yeah. Gary the editor says Adam thoughts on Birdboy and the Forgotten Children I forgot that it was a movie before you just said it right now But I remember enjoying it had some interesting animation Not Half Bad, that's about it Carlos Alator for Ralph I was wondering what were the things that have turned you away from anime
Starting point is 00:28:25 Are you interested in watching shows like Death Note? I think he's already explained this before Generally I think it's the yeah The art style anime in general, yeah. Yeah. I just don't find it killing. Because it does, it does like kind of, with animation, especially,
Starting point is 00:28:43 and I was talking about this before earlier today with the movie Flea, like sometimes just like a design choice or even just the medium of animation can make it like more or less relatable on like a really, a really visceral, like sort of reflexive, almost like instinctual level. So for me, it's like, oh yeah, the character's in the Lion King. If I saw them like, just design wise, let's like, ignore the fact that I love the Lanking so much. If it's like anthro-furry characters or whatever,
Starting point is 00:29:09 I'm going to have like an easier time feeling sad about a sad thing happening to the character because like just my stupid brain is more drawn to those types of characters, right? So yeah, the inverse of a big mouth type situation where it's so visually repulsive. Yeah, exactly. How can I relate to anything happen?
Starting point is 00:29:28 Yeah, anime isn't repulsive. I don't find repulsive. I'm just not maybe not comfortable with it because I didn't grow up watching it a lot. I usually grew up watching American. animation like SpongeBob, right? And that's like, it's all very similar art style, like American animation too. And it's usually not humans. It's usually characters that are not humans, like animals or whatever. So I was just more used to that. I just like that better.
Starting point is 00:29:49 I think people watch entertainment as like a kind of cozy blanket thing too. And like anime is not, I'm just not comfortable with that art style in a way. So if you're saying if they could remake like Tokyo Godfathers, but with the SpongeBob characters then. Maybe I love it. it. All right, Hollywood. Get on it. It's part of it, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:10 We made a film for American. You'll get into some point. Usually the stories are really long, convoluted. Usually there's a lot of characters in like plot threads. Not always, but you know, there's usually plot threads that go on. And that's not something you see in SpongeBob usually. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:24 If we're talking about like television series, yeah, like it's a, I agree that there are some annoying animeisms. You have to get past a few things. Yeah. Stereotyically. I like DeathNow. I love DeathNow. Yeah, it's really nice.
Starting point is 00:30:38 McAul-Shadackel, thank you for the $5. James Garcia, what's the best rock concert you ever saw live or live, but probably live? Nickelback. Nickleback. Yeah, nickel back. It's years ago. Everybody nickel-back. Do some of the wall live, which was cool.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Oh, yeah? Yeah, that was awesome, yeah. Yeah, in London. You know, I'm a real stickler for, like, smaller shows that are much more intimate and personal, where two gallants, one of my favorite bands ever, just unfortunately nobody listens to them. So they were able to play a show where it was like really small venue. And then just, you know, went into the crowd.
Starting point is 00:31:19 It was like as big as this room. You know, that's how many people were there and just like play guitar with no speakers. And people just listened at the end of it. It was like past the noise curfew. He's like, I'm just going to play in the, you know. Like I love, you know, you're sharing something. Yeah, like you're sharing something. and you're not just being sold something
Starting point is 00:31:37 yeah Sam Cooper why'd you spill your beans boys um hopefully it's not a can as big as the one of old yeah image holy shit exactly fill your can of beans all right let's see did um so we've reached
Starting point is 00:31:58 not the end of super chats but the end of from where I refreshed it so that was a while back that was probably the last hour or whatever Did you want to take a break or anything? I don't want to like, we never discussed how long we would be doing this. You said you might have to walk your dog. But I'm down to keep answering more questions. Yeah, let's keep going.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Okay, cool. Maybe take a bathroom break a little bit. Sure. I'll, um, I'll, um, I'll refresh the super chats. And by the way, everybody. I just had another drink. Oh, perfect. Just FYI.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Yeah. It's not possible to get to all of them because they're coming in faster. Yeah. Then we're reading them. So keep that in mind. They're on the screen. They're archived in some way. We might not be able to...
Starting point is 00:32:44 This is fun, though. This is cool. Yeah, love it. Favorite mixed drink? You answer first time. Oh, damn. You know, we went to a place in Seattle that served some really, really great cocktails
Starting point is 00:33:10 called Rockos. It was downtown Seattle, close to the... close to the Hyatt, and they had some amazing cocktails. And I'm willing to bet money, well, maybe not, but I'm willing to bet based on the quality of those cocktails that if we showed back up there in like three months, there would be a different cocktail list. It seems like the kind of place that would like rotate through.
Starting point is 00:33:30 So one of the ones I had was like an Ube, so like purple yam cocktail with coconut in it. And I forget the base liqueur. But it was like such a, like just the most lovely presentation. and just it tasted great. I love that kind of shit. Yeah, that was probably my favorite things, if I'm going to do a drink or a food or anything,
Starting point is 00:33:50 if I'm going to a restaurant and paying money, my favorite thing is just having something that feels adventurous and well prepared at the same time. Something new that I haven't had before, and it's like, oh, clicks, wow, that works sort of thing. Yeah, most of those cocktails were at that place. They were all fantastic. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Yeah, I'd say that purple one, to be honest, if we're going on. Yeah. Purple yam. drinks is his favorite cocktail Alex discovered his favorite cocktail of all time like two days ago cool that's awesome
Starting point is 00:34:23 I'm just looking here I got like a list of a my default would just be longout nice tea long island iced tea is actually kind of good yeah I remember I had some long on an iced tea like before class college I didn't think it would fuck me up that bad
Starting point is 00:34:40 long island nice t is really bad they're one of those they're one of those drinks where you can get a really good one, but you can also get the worst one you've ever had in your life. Yeah. The one I had in college is really good. Whatever one I had before class. If you're using shit liquor. Because there's like four different types of like spirits in there, you know.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Are you still looking through more drinks, Ralph? Oh, no. I guess margaritas are good. Margarita. Anything with bourbon. Like, I forgot what's called. It was an old fashion. Old fashions have bourbon, I believe.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Sex on the Beach. I've ordered that for other people. Not for myself, but I know that one. I heard of that one, like, just this year, Sex on the Beach. That's why, like, I mentioned it. Like, someone asked me to order it from them. I'm like, I never heard of that before, but okay. Breadborn. Here's 10 quid. Thanks, Brit.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Thanks. But it says you donated 899 GbP, so that's not true. Anyway, would you like to thank you for this epic podcast, and particularly Ralph, for making me aware of Mr. Robert, which I finished recently. I absolutely loved it. Mr. Robot. I mean, they spelled it Robot, but I was going to make a joke saying Robert, and then I decided not to because no one can see how it's spelled. A robot. Mr. Roboto.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Mr. Robert. That's a song, which I used in the show. Jack Diamond, have any of you seen Lamb yet? definitely different. I think Ralph has we had the opportunity to no, I haven't. Oh, you didn't? No, I had a friend of mine see it. He said he liked it, but it's a little,
Starting point is 00:36:22 it's not one of their best things, 824. Yeah, I'll get to it eventually. I'm not. I think they have so much competition now, you know? Oh? I feel like for what they're the type of thing you're putting in. Just like, there's a ton of movies out. Like when Green Knight came out, there was nothing
Starting point is 00:36:38 else out for me really, or at least like not enough to like kind of shadow it and Green Knight was really great too I thought. Lamb was like it was kind of overwhelming and I think like all these other movies overshadowed it like James Bond, Dune and like all these great movies we were talking Yeah, I don't know how many people were excited for Lamb They weren't just going to see every A24 movie
Starting point is 00:36:58 Yeah yeah right If you know A24 it's like definitely up your alley Yeah like I think he'll I definitely want to see it I bet I'll really like it but you know it wasn't like a must see Like those other movies that were coming out It was a packed few months. I think a lot was like kind of pushed back. So it was all like dumped out like Dune and all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:37:19 I was looking forward to that stuff a little more, I think. Than Lamb. Poet Boy, are you guys familiar with Frederico Fellini? Not in terms of catalog, but I'm aware that they exist. And I'm excited to check out some stuff. Did Felini do like eight and a half? Is that a flame? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Yeah. I'm excited for that one. Yeah. So I have seen a Fellini movie. Okay. Yeah. he makes good movies I think Felini yeah he's Italian
Starting point is 00:37:45 so you know I like him really and done he made eight and a half yeah yeah um what are you guys his opinion on Steven Sodorberg's
Starting point is 00:37:56 filmography S Redwood Studios he is hit or miss he doesn't make things that I'm always Russian to go see I love that he is able to make very widely appealing movies that uh feel like any
Starting point is 00:38:11 other studio movie and then also make a movie like bubble or um he did what was it like a girlfriend experience where it's just like wow this is like really experimental you know insane yeah that's one of yeah he makes a lot of movies i think that's that's something i like about him he makes a lot of movies so even if you don't like yeah if if you don't like one if you don't like the ton of one or whatever he's got about yeah he's got about a million other movies you could see yeah and they're all very different. He does crime films, horror films. Yeah, like side effects behind the candelabra. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:45 I would love to see traffic. I haven't seen it. Yeah, traffic. That's really a profound one. Dylan. He's very different for Wes Anderson, who's like, all his movies are exactly the same. He's got his consistent style, though, Sotomberg. That's for sure.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Dylan Burnett, I'm visiting my parents this weekend and they want to go for a movie. Got any glowing recommendations for movies that are currently in theaters? What's currently in theater? If Teton is in your area, maybe I don't know what your parents are like, though. If you're a parents' If you're a cool, yeah. If you got cool parents, it's good.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Yeah, French dispatch is pretty safe, actually. Yeah, that's a good one. If your parents care about Princess Diana, Spencer might be in theaters, and that's a good movie. James Bond. You can see that. Nah.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Wazelan films. in a pack theater last month and it was one of my favorite theater experiences of all time do you guys have any theater experiences that stuck with you grind house yeah certainly stuck with me that was a great theater experience yeah oh Neil Breen theater experience number one done yeah this one's always good yeah 2001 that was great mm-hmm mm-hmm seeing it live in the theater and then everyone talks about it during the intermission like everyone goes out in the lobby and they talked about it that's a great experience it's a great experience experience. Yeah. Just too good. As Adam, as an old M fanboy, did you ever see 8MAL? Yes, I saw 8Mal when it came out. I don't know if I would enjoy it as much now. I don't know if I ever really loved it. But it won the Oscar, so for soundtrack. It's crazy. Yeah, Soundtrane. Vladimir Pulusian. The show turns four years old in February 2022. Do you have any definite ideas about how you move forward or are you just going with the flow? I don't know. This is episode 100. That's more of a milestone, isn't it? Four years. It goes back quick. That's crazy. That's an entire United States presidency. Damn.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Mm-hmm. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. Depending on the president. A one-term presidency. Unless they get assassinated or kicked out and impeached. Sammy Jancus. Adam, have you seen an escape room, too?
Starting point is 00:41:04 No, I've been very close to watching it so many times now. I will see it. I will see it at some point. It's called Tournament of Champions. Wow. And they say the title in the movie. That's all I know about it. Like a Game of Thrones book sequel.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Yeah, maybe I'll do a commentary on it or something. Oh, you don't say. Marcus Chandler, much love from New Zealand boys. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much. Foisel Islam. Nominate both funny games for next episode discussion, not next episode discussion sorry
Starting point is 00:41:41 how do you feel about the idea though two in the same episode both funny games like you've already described them as being so similar anyway like yeah it wouldn't the only purpose of doing that would be to have like a fresh answer on
Starting point is 00:42:00 which is definitive yeah what yeah they because every time I want to watch funny games I just watch the new one and so the the original is just further, further and further back in my memory every time because I, you know, I want to watch the one I like the most. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Never know. We might do it. And also we mention funny games like every two episodes. It does come up a lot. Yeah. It's a great example of a lot of things we talk about. Connor Webb, thanks for all the content you've provided on a bi-weekly basis. When the podcast first started, I thought it would end after six episodes.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Okay. I'm happy that it's gone on for as long as it has. Why six specifically? I don't know. Human beings like that number. It's a very common number. It's a very common number. Go to. You know, we're just making up one.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Vernanator. Can we please start a petition to get Grace Randolph on the pod? I don't know if that would work well. Isaiah Williams. What is the most flawed movie you'd rate a 10 out of 10? Ben and Elsa. Done. Alan Smithy.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I'm not sure if this has been asked. Oh, yeah, there you go. But what are you? Some of your guys' favorite novels. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment. I'm not a reader in terms of novels. Yeah, like Android's Dream of Electric Sheep. Yep.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Yeah. I like sci-fi. I said Brave New World before. Fahrenheit. Yeah, I don't know. That's it for me. Brave New World. in height. I like those.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Jack Wilkinson. So what is the mystery of Ralph's mic messing up? Love your guys' content. Keep it up. It was ghosts, but they've, he's had an exorcism since, like, episode. What was it 40? When did it stop? I don't remember, but he, Oh, I don't know. He did a
Starting point is 00:43:56 silence in his house, and ever since then, the ghosts have left him alone, so. Maybe my setup's better. Maybe I just record closer to the microphone or something. I think it's less ghosts. is a ghost Isaac Myers
Starting point is 00:44:11 you had too many ghostmates before movie recommendation Lucifer Valentine's Slaughtered Vomit Dolls trilogy What the fuck is that Lucifer Valentine's Slaughtered Vomit Dolls trilogy Let's find out what this is together
Starting point is 00:44:25 Lucifer Valentine Hold up there's quite a name Slaughtered vomit dolls Okay this is a 2.4 at a 10 on IMDB So probably maybe not as a trilogy
Starting point is 00:44:39 I'll add it to my watch list I've seen this before I've not actually watched the movies but I've found these and I've been told about these before I've never gone far enough to actually check them out I think it's just like just bad exploitation like oh yeah
Starting point is 00:44:56 I don't know I could be wrong let me just watch list this yeah there's a few different ones here black mass of the Nazi sex wizard the fuck okay sounds like fun yeah sounds like one of those types
Starting point is 00:45:15 yeah too devious sorry if this was already asked but have either of you seen spirit it's my favorite dream works movie I'm assuming you're talking about spirit stallion of the simmerin is the full title excuse me
Starting point is 00:45:31 yeah it's all right it's not it's not great yeah I'm most you just remember it because drawing horses is really hard and the animation is quite good. Yeah. Have you seen spirit, Ralph? No, I've seen the spirit with... Oh, that awful thing, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Graphic novel. Yeah, yeah. That was really funny. When Frank Miller was like, I can direct a movie too. Yeah, he can make a movie on the level of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. I can do this. First try. Chance Thresh, Ralph, what are you thoughts on Possessor?
Starting point is 00:46:11 Possessor, I thought, was really good. Brandon, Cronenberg. It'll probably make my best of the year. It'll make my best of the year 2020, yeah. It's his son, what is it? Brandon. Brandon. Gordon.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Gordon. Gordon. Gordon. Gordon. Gordon, Gordon, Cronenberg. Yeah, I thought it's, it's like just really disturbing and violent. And in times reminded me of under the skin with like the surreal sci-fi elements. Yeah, that stuff was good.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Yeah. I don't think it. You know, it's not like a, it's not like a deep film, I guess, on the surface. Yeah. It's fun to see, like, someone get killed in a movie like that. They did that stuff really good. That stuff was really well done in the film. It looked very realistic and graphic.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Mark Ray, I'm making a video essay about live action remakes of cartoons versus literally anything else. What's your advice on how to approach the subject? Be passionate. That's all you need. You can make video on whatever you want, and as long as people can tell that you actually care about what you're talking about, it'll be a good video. Passion is what people look for. Do some research, too. Yeah, passionately uninformed. Lou, now that we're at the 100th, are there any changes to the? format that you're considering well we did a one-off live stream today so that's one how do you
Starting point is 00:47:39 feel about some kind of segment where you address major sort of talking points from the previous episode what do you mean by that briefly so like say if there was anything in the comments that was brought up a lot i've done that before yeah but it doesn't warrant it every episode yeah it doesn't warrant it every episode i suppose but feel free to nothing nothing stopping us i guess We don't need a section for it, I guess. A special segment. Sometimes I just want to add a weird news segment like PFG TV. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Sometimes I just rant and get mad and talk about commenters that I don't like. This has happened before. Cyber comedy jam, 20 bucks, thank you. Do you think with the success of Bander Snatch with its interactive feature, do you think we'll finally be able to see a great video game movie that's interactive? Example, Telltale's. Telltale games. Congratulations on the 100.
Starting point is 00:48:33 thanks for making 2021 easier. Well, if it's interactive, then I'm not sure if it's really a movie anymore. Yeah, isn't that what a video game is? Half of them copy movies anyway. Yeah, so. Yeah, what point is it just not a movie? Bander snatches a game.
Starting point is 00:48:50 You play those choice games. There's a lot of choice games. You play those. Owen Delaney, the one who said earlier that they don't spam is back. What was the funniest thing you've most left? funniest thing slash most you've laughed during a sardonicast.
Starting point is 00:49:08 I think I was laughing the hardest when Ralph and Alex were complaining to each other about football or something. I like the American versus UK and I just get to like not pick aside and laugh about it. Yeah, as Canada does. Yeah, Ben and Altha for me. Yeah, I don't know. The Ben and Arthur one's funny.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Yeah, I have no idea. We're usually funny. Do it. I don't think any of us have seen the Wolfhouse Shagoth Studios. I'm not sure what that is. Let me look it up. It's a Wolfhouse. Not sure.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Never heard. It's on my watch list, and it is directed by two people I'm not really familiar with, and they haven't made much. But it's on my watch list, so somebody else told me to, and we'll see what happens. 86 metascore 7.6 IMDB looks pretty good. Your welcome says, who's your favorite comedian? Do you have a favorite comedian, Ralph? George Carlin. You know, that's a popular answer.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Yeah, George Carlin. He mentioned Felini earlier. He mentions, he mentions, like, Federico Felini, like, in one of his bits. That's how I heard about him the first time. He's talking about like dad's taking, like, video on vacations. It's like, they're all like, they're Federico Fellini, holding on the camera. Who's that? Two comedians, I'm always excited.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Sorry. I thought you're. No, that's it. George Carlin. Two comedians I'm always excited about are Jimmy Carr and Bill Burr. I think that they have enough offensive edge and also they're kind of clever and just funny, you know? Jimmy Carr is great with puns and wordplay. Bill Burr is fun with just like his character, you know.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I like seeing like old man, old white man complains the comedy special, you know. It's fun. George Carlin is that in a sense, too. He actually tells. Yeah, yeah. Bill Burr's like he's very honest and he also tells jokes. Like he's not just saying shit. It tells really well-constructive jokes and he's very funny.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Bill Burr reminds me of me in a way. He reminds us of everybody in a way. they were asking favorite comedians and I just yeah I like the I like the angry white man who complains about things who doesn't yeah um this is usually funny oh burr and I was saying jimmy car also is a George carlin oh jimmy car sure love jimmy car I wish I sometimes I peep at Jimmy car's tour dates and it's only in the UK and I'm like damn I would love I know field trip Do you have a favorite comedian, Alex? I would say Bill Burr, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:52:01 There we go. I find him hilarious. Yeah, Bill Burr. Double Bs. I love that video on YouTube of him shit talking to crowd. He had like a really bad crowd. He managed to spin it around.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Oh, yeah. Is that Philly? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's really funny. That was funny. He's like, I'm not leaving. He's just shit talking.
Starting point is 00:52:22 He's so aggressive. Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's the best. They'll fuck themselves. Yeah. So, yeah. That's the best way to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Mashi. Ralph will, Ralph, recommends ever come back? Yeah, it was your recommend. I don't think so. Did you recommend the French dispatch? Well, yeah, that's just like a review. Yeah. So it's just branding.
Starting point is 00:52:47 That format or whatever. I don't think so. That was like a one-time thing. It didn't rank in the views, you know. Yeah, maybe you shouldn't watch it more, Mashi. It's your fault. You should have watched it 100,000 times. Yeah, that would have brought it back.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Things happen, whatever. I'm still making content. It's not like I'm dead. Dan X-Miss. By the way, thank you for your Sardinicast animation, Dan. Curious if any of you boys have heard of the FX show, Mr. Inbetween. It's a passion project of the writer-slash-lead actor who has only done that character. I'm not sure if I'm familiar with that.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Mr. In-Between. Let's search it up. Yeah, I've not heard of this. I've been part of it. 2018 to 2021 8.6 well I'll watch list it
Starting point is 00:53:34 Nash someone's that my yeah yeah I didn't really see anything I recognize I know the directors and DB so that is my watch list
Starting point is 00:53:47 Azarc the Great is there any movie that you prefer a theatrical version of to say director's cut I prefer the theatrical version of the handmaiden but the other cut is not a director's cut,
Starting point is 00:54:02 it's the extended cut. So we could argue that the theatrical version is the director's cut. I'm not really sure, but it's not... The extended one ruins the pacing and it ruins the order in which information is revealed.
Starting point is 00:54:15 It's less cinematic, so there's my answer. There's a little man on Ralph's chest. Oh, he's gone. Oh, he's back. There is. There's an entire... Oh, it's another... Ralph.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Hello. What I miss. Is there any movie that you prefer a theatrical version of to say a director's cut? The theatrical cut is usually shorter, so I usually prefer it for that reason. Oh, here's one. Apocalypse now.
Starting point is 00:54:50 It gets too long. No, like the... No. Some of those, it's kind of unnecessary when it gets longer. Yeah, I think I might have only seen the director's cut. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:58 The bulk of the ball clips now. Yeah, the redux and then the final one are both too long and the theatrical one, although I haven't seen it. It seems about... The shorter they get, the higher my rating goes is what I've experienced so far. And I feel like it'll hit the perfect stride when I finally watch the theatrical cut. Booy. Could Kaufman fix Life is Strange? Yes.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Tommy, what are your opinions on the James Guns Scooby-Doo movie? I don't remember them honestly. They're so far back. Yeah, the first one's better than the second one from memory. Yeah, I like James Gunn's writing, but... They're both pretty bad. It's quite edgy. Would you like another beverage, Alex?
Starting point is 00:55:45 Yeah, go for it. Egy. All right. Surprise me. I re-watch those kind of recently, a couple years ago, the Scooby-Doo ones. I don't know. Not too great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I mean, do you even like the Scooby-Doo movies, like, aside from the James Gun ones? I don't know if it really works that well in movie form. No. I like it more as an episode. I've never been a huge Scooby-Doo guy, like, in general. I like the characters. I've always thought it was okay. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:56:15 But, like. It's very, yeah. Mm-hmm. Very old Scooby-Doo. Is it from like the, when's it from? Like, the original cartoon. Oh, it's ancient. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:27 It's been around for so long. Yeah. Yeah, just look at those original characters and it's like shaggy with his flares and everything I did it for Tanuki That's 10 British pounds here I want to thank all three of you for making such fantastic videos Adam especially you and your music have been a massive inspiration
Starting point is 00:56:47 to my creative life and I'll forever be grateful to you for that And he's here to acknowledge that As you can see I probably should have waited for him to be back to read that one Yeah, wait for him Adam acknowledge I did it all for Tanuki I read it but didn't realize he specifically names you so you should probably acknowledge it
Starting point is 00:57:05 what do you think of midnight mass Alejandro Centurion asks Ralph I haven't seen it Yeah I'm neither What about this one from crappy posts $2 here since city is overrated It's actually bad
Starting point is 00:57:21 I don't know if I agree with that It's very neat to rewatch it It's been a long time Yeah I don't see what would be bad about it. It's a very good art style that's like consistent within the movie. It's cartoonish, but that's appropriate, I thought, for the movie. I really liked the Mickey Rourke's story in it.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Yeah, Mickey Rourke stands out in my head, but I think of that movie. Yeah, I'm not sure what's so bad about it, you know. Like the spirit, which I mentioned before, yeah, like that's bad. I don't know what sets them apart. Mostly the directors, I think. You had a Rodriguez on Sin City. Adam acknowledged this one. I don't love.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Yeah, Rodriguez at least somewhat talented. And Tarantino, also. I did it all for Tanuki says. I want to thank all three of you for making such fantastic videos. Adam, especially you and your music have been a massive inspiration to my creative life, and I'll forever be grateful to you for that heart. Thank you so much. Thanks, To Nukes.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Ralph, can you hold the floor for a moment? I'm just going to get Alex over here to discuss a food thing. I just don't want to do that on stream because there's local restaurants that would docks me if we. Hold the fort, sing a song. We'll be back in like 30 seconds. Do a dance. Do a little dance.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Let me look for some questions here. Do we dance. Let's see here. October sky. on October sky. I haven't seen it. Matt B. 1964. What movies have you seen that you thought were going to be great, but turned out to be horrible? And vice versa.
Starting point is 00:59:07 I didn't think Battle Los Angeles would be great, but I mean, that movie fucking sucked. That's my answer. DB. Hey guys, I love Serrana cast and very drunk. $10. Thank you guys. Uh, thank you, D.B. Gold Galaxy 28. You boys like Adventure Time?
Starting point is 00:59:26 I do. I think Adventure Time's really good I watched a lot of Adventure Time when I was It was years ago But I mean I actually heard Adventure Time movie came out Recently and I added that to my watch list
Starting point is 00:59:39 In 2020 or 2021 something like that Talk about Adventure Time Oh yeah It's a random question about Adventure Time I like it It's good I've only seen like random episodes I've never committed to watching the whole thing
Starting point is 00:59:52 People seem to get really into certain characters like the Ice Queen, who was voiced by SpongeBob. It's that guy again, yeah. Ice King. Yeah, really good cast on that. Good characters, yeah. Yeah, I like Adventure Town a lot.
Starting point is 01:00:08 That's one of the better cartoon network things I've seen. It's definitely up there. Let's do this one from Procraftonators with the five US dollars here. Which director would you like to see make a multi-million dollar adaptation of Cool, saves the kids. I'm not sure if anyone's I want to see Chris Nolan's cool cat.
Starting point is 01:00:31 What about the guy who directed cats? He seems like the right guy for him. Oh, that's, yeah, that would be perfect. What's his name? What the fuck? Tom Hooper, right? Yeah, you got it. You got it. It's Tom Hooper. He also directed, yeah, that Tom Hooper, he directed the Danish girl, right? And recently Eddie Redmond came out and he's like, he thought Danish girl was a mistake. He said he made it with the best intentions, but he said I thought it was a mistake. I didn't hear about that.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Yeah. I'm like, oh, that's interesting. Yeah, that is interesting. I don't know why. Maybe because of the subject, what's about, like, him playing a trans person or gender. But, yeah, I thought that was interesting. Just to bring up the cat's director again. Mate is back in the super chat here.
Starting point is 01:01:13 I'm Hungarian, by the way. Oh, that's what Huff is, then, H-U-F, the currency. And Huff is Hungarian forint? Anyways, do you know Trent Resner's ban nine-inch nails? If so, what do you think about it? I love 9-inch Nils. I love 9-inch Nils. I love 9-inch Niels. I listen to them all the time.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Yeah, same. Sean, with 10 U.S. dollars here, have any of you met any noteworthy celebrities? If so, who and under what context? David F. Sanber. Yeah, David F. Sambor. Not a lot of people. Yeah, David F. Sanber.
Starting point is 01:01:46 I met a lot of people in L.A. while I was interning. I met Werner Herzog. We mentioned him earlier. You know, I just walked. walked him to an office or whatever. I said, I like your movies. I'm a fan of your movies. For a Herzegger,
Starting point is 01:02:03 Henry Cavill, I think I said, I told you. That's right, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the premiere of a witcher or whatever. Yeah, that was funny. I was like making fun at him. Yeah, my favorite role is Superman. Yeah, like, I love Man of Steel.
Starting point is 01:02:19 It's my favorite. Let's do this one from, I'll do this one from Moneybag U 499 Great British Pounds Can Alex do the argue voice live? I can try What voice? So this is a kind of weird shit I do like I My joke dog my dog that is a joke I have a corgi called aggie Yeah, you're corgi and he's like a weird little cringy creature So I kind of created a cringy voice for him
Starting point is 01:02:54 um just like that sort of level because that's how that's what corgi sound like to me you know stupid little fake creatures sure sure I imagine rocky sounds like jk. Simmons or something yeah that fits
Starting point is 01:03:13 this is my I just imagine that slim navy with a buck thank you very much um card detention saying have you seen
Starting point is 01:03:24 Titania? No, I'm still waiting on that one to come out in the UK. You'll like it. I'll be good. Crappy posts with five euros here. Wow, you really like beans. What about beans on pasta? How do you feel about that? How does that make you feel? That doesn't make me feel good. I don't know. There might be some Italian dish with beans that I'm like just blanking on right now. I feel like that's, there might definitely be some kind of bean dish, but I don't know. Like beans on pasta? Yeah,
Starting point is 01:03:57 like baked beans, breakfast beans on pasta. Especially like those kinds of beans like Ian, though. Are you guys drinking more? Yeah, I've poured myself something else. Yeah, you've got to explain to me what these are. I was just set them down. What is that?
Starting point is 01:04:14 Yeah, as Alex is visiting here, there's a lot of Asian things. Very high Asian population. some of things that he hasn't tried. This is a Korean rice wine. Okay. Very interesting.
Starting point is 01:04:30 It's very different. It smells interesting. And when I was at a Korean restaurant drinking this one day, one of the Korean people there said that a lot of the time people mix this in 7-Up. So, like, Korean kids are adults, I guess. Young adults will mix it with 7-Up. I have some 7-Up if you want to try that. I'll drink half of it and then fill it with 7-Up. all right
Starting point is 01:04:55 that looks interesting just like looking at it yeah I lied it's cum yeah very cummy it's very cummy it kind of looks like cum yeah
Starting point is 01:05:06 it kind of looks like cum I got a chance to try Lucky Buddha beer recently which is like I mentioned scorch's PFG TV yeah it's because it's like an Asian logger beer so I found it like an Asian
Starting point is 01:05:22 restaurant they had it on the menu I was, I fucking like shit myself. I saw it. I had never seen on a menu before. Yeah, like, this is scorches beer. I got to have it. So, yeah, yeah, I ended up having.
Starting point is 01:05:36 It was good. It was made with rice, rice flakes. So I guess it tasted kind of different. Yeah, it's nice. Yeah, I guess instead of like yeast, I think that's what most beers made with or like, I think so. Yeah, I don't know much about making beer.
Starting point is 01:05:50 Yeah, but they made it with like rice instead. It was an interesting flavor, I guess. Lucky Buddha beer Yeah, where did we I hope you know scorch Otherwise you have no context for what I'm saying right now It's sound like a crazy Let's see
Starting point is 01:06:10 Where did you leave off? What was the last one we did, Ralph? It was a couple down, I think Okay, I'll still hear that Any bands and artists that you haven't been a subject That haven't been the subject of a film That you think would make for a good story if so, what director would you choose?
Starting point is 01:06:25 Neon Theraman? Well, now that, I don't... What's even a real story anymore? Yeah, maybe. I still want a queen movie. Yeah, I still want a queen movie. You're absolutely right, Roe. That's the answer.
Starting point is 01:06:38 How about let's actually get a queen movie? So disappointing. William W. That would be supposed like a 7-something. Sorry, Pymeanor Rhapsy still has like high ratings online. I'm like, why? I know. Because people, you know, they're already preattached to the subject matter, you know, and the songs are in the movie.
Starting point is 01:07:00 That does a lot of the work. It's a real Lion King 2019 situation. Will you guys consider bringing in adult animation on war movies? What? Will you guys consider bringing in adult animation on war movies? Big Red One and the Great Escape are Good War Films. Ghost in the Shell and Heavy Metal would be good as well.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Congrats on the 100. I love Walt Swift Bashir. That's an adult animation war movie. So, I could recommend that someday. I don't think either of you've seen it, have you? Ghost in the show, it could be a fun episode. Yeah, I like that movie. It's a good anime.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Mm-hmm. Yeah. That's a movie? Ghost in the show? The anime? Yeah, I think Stand Alone Complex was the, which one was the movie. Was there a TV show too? I think there are multiple shows based on it.
Starting point is 01:07:52 But I think it started with a movie, right? I think so. Okay. Yeah, I could be wrong. Because I watched the movie and it felt like a very stand-alone film. Yeah. Rotten Pie. Thank you for animating my music video,
Starting point is 01:08:08 by the way, Rotten Pie. Fans of Greg Arachese stuff such as Nowhere and Doom Generation would recommend. Actually, those are ones that I have. scene, but I like mysterious skin and I love smiley face. Those are both Greg Ehrie films and those are both very different movies too. Haven't seen mysterious skin in a long time though.
Starting point is 01:08:33 Yeah, I remember watching mysterious skin and not getting on with it. That's all I think I've seen. Yeah, I've seen a couple more that didn't land super well with me. That, oh yeah, that one was tough to watch. Not in a good way. White Bird and a Blizzard was dumb. Kaboom had one really funny character, and it was almost worth it, but it was still just kind of a mess.
Starting point is 01:08:57 But yeah, smiley face and mysterious skin, both good movies, I think. Okay. Have you seen either of those, Ralph? No, no, I haven't seen those. Sorry. No, that's fine. I will check them out. You don't have to apologize.
Starting point is 01:09:13 I'm taking notes for future recommendations. Should have seen every movie ever released. Yeah. Is this the Vernanator who made... I love your videos, by the way. I love Wendy Endgame Vernanator. That's a great video. Thank you for creating Wendy Ngame.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Favorite Bjork song slash moment is their question. My favorite... My favorite... Yeah. Yeah, The Answer in the Dark, there's some good song. from that, you know? My favorite moment is when she, uh, when she canceled Lars von Trier without naming him. Yeah, I like that too.
Starting point is 01:09:55 Yeah. That was my, that was a classic Bjork moment. Yeah, um, I got to check out more of her catalog, honestly. I haven't, uh, yeah, I have a few, like, singles I really like from her. Army of me is, like, the popular one, I guess. But I'll check out more. I actually A while after we did
Starting point is 01:10:19 Dancer in the Dark for the podcast like years after, so within the past year I guess, I found out that the soundtrack for Dancer in the Dark released on Spotify, vinyl, all that stuff,
Starting point is 01:10:30 is not just the same songs as the movie. It's her doing all the voices and kind of like a different rendition in some cases. And I actually really like that. I thought it would just be another scenario where it's like,
Starting point is 01:10:42 oh, we've just one, song was made, we're using it in both. But no, it was interesting. Yeah, I love a Kfelder from that album. What 890? No questions, but thanks for being my favorite podcast it for the past two years.
Starting point is 01:10:58 Hell yeah. Keep up with a good content from a fellow New Yorker. Money bag. New Yorker, cool. I've already done this. I did this before. Oh, did you? Maybe they asked it twice because we didn't answer it the first time. Oh, okay. Sometimes that happens.
Starting point is 01:11:13 Moneybag, you. Can Alex please do the angry voice? I've also played with Charcer. Thanks for the money. Ostag the glorious and Slim Nave. Thank you. Antagonoise. Cool name.
Starting point is 01:11:29 Will you please talk about the part in Sexy Beast where Teddy Bess, in parentheses, second bad guy, fools around with the bank owner just to stake out the safety deposit box room. You missed it in the review. That is so specific. well we just did
Starting point is 01:11:46 yeah I don't know if I even remember that yeah okay that's a great movie though yeah I really like that movie though yeah I really like that movie yeah I love that we'll talk about it on our rewatch
Starting point is 01:11:56 yeah I just like Jonathan Glazer I think that's it uh ostag the glorious what's your favorite Nicicado video um my my favorite Nicacado video
Starting point is 01:12:09 it wasn't uploaded by him but it's like somebody taking a clip from one of his videos it's uh I think it's called Nicocato Crying on the Floor with Cake on His Face I think that's my favorite YouTube video actually Yeah
Starting point is 01:12:20 I like that one a lot Marti Marti Mart Marshall Kaiju 98 Says you guys missed my 4999 super chat Thanks for 100 Did we? Was it when Alex was in control
Starting point is 01:12:36 It's possible It's probably what I was in control probably Thank you Maybe they didn't realize we were doing these at the end I don't know when these are from. The timeline's all messed up. Robsie, R6. Adam, he said a while back, you'd make a short film before a feature film.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Still planning on doing that at some point? I don't know. I directed a music video. Is that not a short film? But yeah, I would like to direct more smaller than feature-length film things before I direct a feature-like film. And I have some plans to make a thing, but I'm not going to talk about it. So it's still in development.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Anyway, JJ the bet I don't have a question Just take my money big fan since middle school cheers Thank you so much Stuffy junk Ralph isn't in the room Because he's sitting in the air vent again He's in the room
Starting point is 01:13:23 I don't understand We have the camera on He's here I'm here guys He's right here And you're crazy Yeah I don't know what you're talking about
Starting point is 01:13:34 Akiro 100 Best Meal or snack you've had While watching a movie Ooh You know There's some There are some movie snacks that are satisfying for different ways. When I saw How to Train Your Dragon,
Starting point is 01:13:48 I was kind of poor, and I had saved up all of my loose change over, like, a year to buy a pizza across the street from the movie theater. And I used expired movie tickets to get into the movie, and the lady was nice, and she didn't care. And I had folded the pizza over inside my winter jacket, and snuck it into the film. And it's not about how the pizza tasted. It's about the satisfaction of sneaking an entire pizza into how to train your dragon after not even paying to see the movie. And I remember it took them like 20 minutes to make the pizza at this place.
Starting point is 01:14:33 And during that 20 minutes, the poor cashier was counting like every penny. Basically, in the entire time it took to make the pizza. yep that was but that was very satisfying god yeah I don't have anything that beats that I've never snuck an entire pizza into a movie before you just got to believe yeah I don't know it was boring shit like popcorn like fuck I always sneak a drink sorry
Starting point is 01:15:01 I'll sneak a horrible sorry that's okay um yeah I just I just saw Clara Bellum in the the chat uh she makes a lot of our uh fan art. We were discussing maybe yesterday that I would show a fan art on screen for this. I think what we're going to do is we're going to take this episode audio and or video and then republish it, maybe clean up the audio bit, and then I can do the intro and all that
Starting point is 01:15:29 with that. I haven't set things up to be able to show the screen right now, so it would be difficult. So sorry for that. I wasn't really sure how we were going to do this. But anyway, thank you so much for your fan art. It's lovely. All of it looks great. And yeah, anybody else watching?
Starting point is 01:15:43 More fan art. Make some fan art. Post it on the subreddit. Do it. We'll put it in the video as long as it's not pornographic. Nicodemus Lopez. Any more man-man boy-boy-man songs? Also, you can get Mooby and use it with a VPN to watch so many movies from all over the world.
Starting point is 01:16:08 Do you know what Moobie is? Yeah, I think it's... I've used it a couple of times. times. Don't they bombard it with ads? Maybe I'm confused. No, that's Tooby.
Starting point is 01:16:20 That's different. That's different. I thought Mooby was like... Mooby and Tooby are different things. Right? There are too many streaming services. Booby. Sorry, it's Buba.
Starting point is 01:16:30 That's Buba. How about Bobie? Yep. That's one of the streaming services, I think. Oh, what kind of movies are on there? Films now showing on me. Kids films. It's adult films.
Starting point is 01:16:42 It's adult films on there. On Buby. What is this? Killing of a sacred deer A net Yeah, net I don't know It's just
Starting point is 01:16:52 There are too many of these There's loads of these in the UK Like sub-subscriptions within Amazon And yeah like shutter And all these different Sub-genres of streaming services It's too much Way too much
Starting point is 01:17:06 Uh Too much Waldo sketches-esque Or says and then asks Love all your guys's work Keep It Up Heart Thoughts on Moon with Sam Rockwell I like it. I remember enjoying it.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Yeah, wasn't that? That came out during the Writersstrike time. Yeah, that was the whole writer's straight time. Kevin Spacey. I don't think I like it as much as everyone else, but I like it. Yeah, I like it. Probably his best movie. It's probably, I don't know if it's better than source code.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Maybe source codes a lot of them. Oh, yeah, easily Duncan Jones' best movie for me. Yeah, I think it's my favorite. He's only gone downhill. But Warcraft, yeah, I mean, I don't like that. But I like source code, actually. I think source code's fun. And Moon is, yeah, moon's really well done.
Starting point is 01:17:48 Duncan Jones started making bad movies about two-thirds through source code. Yeah. Yeah, sure. I can see that. I'll go to the rest of course. You guys keep answering. All right. Vincent Tapia, what was the first scene to make you cry?
Starting point is 01:18:04 Mine was Brooks on the outside in Shawshank Redemption. Whatever in any movie. I probably, like, I don't have a memory of me as a child. I probably cried when Spoilers, Mufasa dies in the Lanking. That is a common one. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:18:21 if I cries an adult, I probably cried when I was a kid. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's a heavy one. I don't know, like... Dad, get up. When I was a kid,
Starting point is 01:18:32 the Toy Story movie is probably made me sad. Yeah. I don't know. It was a... For every other movie, if it's well made, we'll get to me in somewhere. Uh,
Starting point is 01:18:41 Gigga D-Chad. I joined late, what I'd miss. What's I miss? What's I miss? I don't know what I miss is. I'm a SpongeBob. Vincent Tapia. What was, oh wait, we read that one.
Starting point is 01:18:52 Yeah, we missed Gigachad. Damn. Maybe we have been skipping them accidentally. It's difficult. There's too many. Your Welcome, says, thanks for doing this podcast. Question for all three.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Is there any superhero that hasn't gotten a movie yet that you'd like to see get one or not really? Do I know of superheroes that haven't gotten a movie? No, we're getting into, like, when you're making Eternals movies, you're kind of scratching content that's getting pretty out there. The bottom of the barrel. Mm-hmm. Yeah, bottom of the barrel is a good way of putting it.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Yeah. No? Mm-hmm. Yeah, they're running out. Like, I just like Spider-Man, to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. Boston Grover.
Starting point is 01:19:38 Love the content, guys. Is there a movie you love enough to give a 10, but can't seem to commit to it due to the film. having glaring issues. Tons. Tons of movies like that. Yeah. There's movies that I would rate four out of ten that I love as much as some movies that I rate ten out of ten. Painkiller 1988. Love you guys and congrats on your 100 episode. Any strong opinions on Halo Infinite so far? Alex, take it away. So again, this kind of just came out right before coming here. So I've only done a couple games of the multiplayer. I like the direction.
Starting point is 01:20:13 I'm a bit concerned by the kind of overall lack of content and the monetization of it. I'm just not a fan of. It's a real trend with games of this scale nowadays where they just have to nickel and dime you at every fucking corner with these insane prices for everything.
Starting point is 01:20:29 I don't know. I care about like customization and stuff, especially with like how fun it was for me and like Halo Reach. Yeah. It seems like a bit of a step back. But like in a year, the game's probably going to be completely different and look different because that's just what games are now.
Starting point is 01:20:44 I'm expecting the campaign to be shit and I agree with you, Alex, it seems like the Overton window has kind of shifted in such a way where people's expectations are so low, not only for Halo, but in the genre of first person shooters where it's suddenly praising just to not automatically do battle royale and have Fortnite dances where that's a breath of fresh air. But that didn't really used to be like the standard for what makes a good game. It gets under my skin that it's, yeah, the bar is so low that it's like, oh, they've like made a Halo game and now people are like, oh, yeah, you made a Halo game this time? Yeah, you didn't fuck up as bad as the other times. Yeah, like if 3-4-3 had never made a Halo game and came in with Halo Infinite, maybe that'd be way more positive.
Starting point is 01:21:26 Low expectations. Yeah, exactly. Campaign's going to suck, and, yeah, multiplayer's fine, but how often am I going to play that? We'll see if my brother likes it. So I'll play it with him. This is a blackberry wine, Korean. I could tell that was some kind of wine. Fruity.
Starting point is 01:21:46 Yeah, very fruity. Not nearly as sweet as the ice wine, but much more sweet than a regular wine. What you eating and drinking Ralph? I got some French fries here. American. A glass of water. Yeah. Freedom.
Starting point is 01:22:05 Freedom fries. I'll have more Hennessy. I'll have some more. Sure. No pressure. I don't need, I mean, drink, drink because you want to. Yeah, I want to. All right, let's do it.
Starting point is 01:22:15 Yeah, sure. Thank you for keeping the day open. Thank you for the five euros, pride of, G-fur. Daniel Kogler, thank you guys for all the ton of, for, thank you guys a ton for all of the content. What are your, what are, I didn't know you could do an apostrophe between, what an r and make the word water. I don't know if that's correct, but water, your opinion on musicals. Best you've seen, worst.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Best cats, worst cats. As far as musicals are concerned, music. It's pretty bad. Yeah, Lion King's a really good musical. The South Park movie I like as a musical. You mentioned it earlier. I'm sure there are some of the best. It's a good one.
Starting point is 01:23:08 Yeah. Yeah, Downs from the Dark's amazing. Lion King. It's really out there. Sketch screen. Is Alex going to leave tomorrow? That is confidential information. Steve, $5.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Thank you. Director Dilb, what was your reaction when Stellan Scarsgard went into creative mode in Dune? I saw that. That was a comment on my video. Someone said that was my favorite moment of Dune is when he went into creative mode.
Starting point is 01:23:36 You're going to have to refresh me on that? Is that a, it's kind of a spoiler? Okay, yeah. It's kind of a spoiler. It flies up. Yeah, I'm not sure what does that mean to go into creative mode? In creative mode in Minecraft. So you can fly around.
Starting point is 01:23:48 Yeah, it's like ford. I'm not a Minecrafter. It makes sense. Thank you. That's funny. Now I get the joke. Thank you very much. You're trying to make a joke.
Starting point is 01:23:55 I don't. I'll become a Minecraft YouTuber like Ralph someday. Yeah. Boston Grover also wanted to say I genuinely like the cat and the hat movie. I think it's pretty weird and creative. What do you guys think of it? LMAO. We haven't seen it yet. Well, I haven't. I saw that one in the cinema.
Starting point is 01:24:15 Oh? That one's terrible. Yeah, because I like, love the cat in that book as a kid. Yeah. Is that a reason? Yeah, when I was a little kiddie? Oh, yeah, when did that come out? How old were you? I guess I was already at the age where I didn't want to see it. So, yeah. Let me see. I remember it being just too much.
Starting point is 01:24:38 2003 yeah I just rented it yeah I guess I was like around 12 or something yeah oh yes I tried watching it semi recently because it was just there on one of the streaming services
Starting point is 01:24:50 on like the homepage no I couldn't I couldn't do it it's terrible it seems scary it's unwatchable it is scary
Starting point is 01:25:01 yeah it is maybe if you watch it as a horror movie it would be quite good yeah but yeah but yeah B is Knees Ultra. Have any of you seen Going Home
Starting point is 01:25:11 in the Dark? I don't know what that is. So no. No. RG. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,89. Have you guys seen any recent animated cartoons or shows, like, from the 2010s? If so, what did you think? I have never seen an animated
Starting point is 01:25:27 cartoon or show. Yeah, I'm not really familiar. I've seen this on IMDU for. Yeah? Have you seen them all? No. I've seen the recent ones, Descendants, I liked in Nebraska. I want to see election.
Starting point is 01:25:43 I hear election. Yeah. There's a criteria. It seems to be the one of that. Yeah, that seems really good. Miles Gilbert, congrats guys for 100. You guys really helped me broaden my horizon with
Starting point is 01:25:55 the movies I watched. Who is the most overrated director in your opinion? I think we've answered this before, maybe. I don't remember what I said. I think it's like Tim Burton or something, but. Hmm. I don't know
Starting point is 01:26:09 Clint Eastwood I like Clint Eastwood though He's not like It's some bad movies Yeah I don't know You can easily say shit like Spielberg Yeah
Starting point is 01:26:22 Overrated's a tough thing to quantify Yeah exactly Like what do you actually mean Yeah Yeah I guess Spielberg Like it's just so obvious I mean There was a time
Starting point is 01:26:34 There was a point in time Where I would say M. Knight doesn't qualify for this, but I think he's coming back around because he keeps making hits and people are seeing them because his name's on it again. I think he's back at the point where I can say he's overrated. There were a few years where nobody was watching his movies, but I think I can say he's overrated again. But like, they're not like critical success.
Starting point is 01:26:57 When was the last like critical success he had? I think old might actually have like a positive. Really? Meta or Rotten Tomatoes School, actually. I think it might be positively well-received critically and audience-wise. It's hilarious. 5.8 or no. I think I lowered my rating for that.
Starting point is 01:27:18 55 metast of school. All right, what's the Rotten Tomatoes? I have to search that up. Sorry, Tomatos. Yeah, thank you. You're welcome. Rotten tomatoes. Yeah, it's almost embarrassing just how many people I'm hanging out with that I go,
Starting point is 01:27:33 hey, here's my friend Alex from the UK and they all just do British accents. And I'm like, that's got to get annoying. Yeah, maybe if I was saying in it, then I'd be like, yeah, all right, then he got me. Yeah. It is kind of weird. The default Rotten Tomatoes
Starting point is 01:27:51 URL is the free guy listing. Old. Cool. Overwhelmingly positive. Right, let's see what old has then. We're looking at. Yeah, 50. Oh, okay, not bad.
Starting point is 01:28:03 Middle of the road. Yeah, so it depends on how we're defining overrated then. Slim Knave, what is the best movie you have never seen? Three Colors Blue by Christoph Krilovsky. How do you know it's the best movie if you've never seen it? Sorry? How do you know? I don't know, it's supposed to be good.
Starting point is 01:28:30 I think I have a pretty good gauge for the types of things I will eventually. enjoy when I check them out. I think I know when something's up my alley. Yeah, you kind of figure out the routine, don't you? Like, oh, who wrote this? Hello, Elvis. Yeah. Elvis the Allen.
Starting point is 01:28:46 I'm just kidding. Oh, hey, Elvis. Yep. Hello, infinite question again. Thanks, Lone Star. We already answered. We already answered that one. Tyler Pete Peterson just says, shirtless Alex.
Starting point is 01:29:01 That is not a question. That is a statement. Thank you. Fost, I love you boys with a heart. Thank you. Thank you, Fost. Connor Brandenburg. Just to get Alex more interested in HBO's succession. It's created and written by the creator of Peep Show, Jesse Armstrong.
Starting point is 01:29:21 Oh, shit. Okay, cool. Okay, awesome. Yeah. Like Peep Show? Oh, yeah, you were asking my roommate about that. Yeah, I'm Biggins Peep Show. Emilo.
Starting point is 01:29:29 Is there going to be a quickie or review on a cop movie? by Alonzo, I can't pronounce his last name. It's probably my favorite of the year. Thanks for the podcast. I've been trying to catch up on all the things that I haven't covered. I recorded my 45-minute-long TIF review that's not out yet. And then Alex came over after I finished that. So I got to make a video on like six or seven movies,
Starting point is 01:29:57 and I think I'm just going to put them all into one, even though they're not festival-related, and that should be one of them. So yeah, I'm planning on talking about it. Anybody curious about it? It's on Netflix. It's pretty interesting. It's like a documentary, but not really.
Starting point is 01:30:10 It's from the director of Museo, which I really loved. Mr. Host, speaking of that movie, I don't know what you mean by that. Last Black Man in San Francisco is a film that was equally underrated for the year. It came out, hoping you guys can watch it someday as it ranks high among the best-looking films I've ever seen. I think that's on my watch list. I'm pretty sure that's on my watch list. Boston Grover. a simple question, how is it meeting each other in person?
Starting point is 01:30:34 Do you feel the same chemistry? Do you guys think you'd get along even without the podcast? I've met Bofa. Alex is not. Ralph is not. We're all pretty chill. Yeah. You know, it's been a long time coming, you know.
Starting point is 01:30:51 We started a podcast because we figured we'd, you know, get along. Yeah, we like all the same shit. I haven't met Alex yet. Yeah. That's it. Mm-hmm. Well, I'm taller than both of you. And that's what matters.
Starting point is 01:31:08 Question about succession again from Pablo. Thank you. Wow. So many people are talking about it. Food's almost here. I'm going to run and get that pretty soon. Titanium Dragon, will you be seeing the new West Side Story? And how do you feel about the originalist?
Starting point is 01:31:23 One of my all-time favorites. Also, congrats on 100 episodes. I don't know if I've ever seen the... Actually, no, I must have seen clips of it in drama class, actually. I don't know it's Stephen Spielberg doing the new one right I'm not like super attached or in love with the old one
Starting point is 01:31:41 like I don't even know if I've seen it from beginning to end so no real strong opinions on that one yeah no strong opinions from it here why don't you take the give me that well we got another Mr. Robot one here Mr. Robert

Starting point is 01:32:21 I don't think so. Out of love. Yeah, I don't know. Probably not. Yeah. I've fallen out of love, I guess, with certain types of movies in certain times.

Out of all the movies, each of you have reviewed,
Starting point is 01:35:05 which was the most fun making a video on. The Chips one was a lot of fun. I made the review of Chips. I had a lot of fun on that one. I don't know if I should just, if it's for like a big review or not, because it kind of narrows it down. For my YMS reviews, like,
Starting point is 01:35:23 I liked, um, Being so petty as to call up a university professor for my frozen review so I could call Adam Green out on his bullshit about how physics works. That was fun. Yeah, that's funny. I like that one. I also loved calling Karen Greenberg, the writer of that ghost writer episode that traumatized me as a kid that had some, like, sentimental. and, you know, I got some closure after so many years. That was nice.
Starting point is 01:35:59 Yeah, most fun. I don't really know, to be honest. Like, I have a hell of a lot of fun making everybody. Sven Raw and Reloaded with five Canadian dollars, thank you. Kozups with a 99, well, one euro, just an emoji with the big hearts for us. Sven Raw and Reloaded, there's another one here, with five bucks. Is Alex in Canada or is Canada and Alex? Looking up how to solve it and understanding how to do it, but without wanting to commit the time. Yeah, yeah, I'd never, I just get bored.
Starting point is 01:36:51 Bright Crunch has a 10 US dollar seal Thanks for the podcast and congrats on episode 100 It really helps me get through my work week Question Any best slash worst restaurant experiences worth sharing Best and worse? Yeah, I remember being in London once To see a small little show and got back really late
Starting point is 01:37:14 I've got some I guess this isn't really technically restaurant But like kind of ordering food experience but I got like a pizza and it was actually the most embarrassing thing you've ever seen because it was the only thing they open at like four in the morning it was like it was embarrassing it was bad pizza yeah I got some pizza in like DC it was terrible yeah I like burst out laughing when I opened the box it was like that kind of level that's funny yeah that's how bad the DC pizza was yeah best restaurants I don't know
Starting point is 01:37:51 usually go to good places. The food in Italy is delicious. Some of my best food experiences were going to Italy. Going to those small places. Yeah, I really like it. Really good food. Do you have any crazy ones out of? Can we move on from this one?
Starting point is 01:38:07 You love your restaurants. I'm not going to go. Yeah. It's close by to you, Italy. Anyway, where you're from. Time plus tragedy says, Funny Games poster in the back, great movie, but I disagree with its
Starting point is 01:38:21 message. We shouldn't enjoy violence and movies. Are there any movies you think are well made but have you strongly disagreed with? Nothing really popping out on that kind of level. Anything, Ralph? That I strongly disagree with? No.
Starting point is 01:38:44 Yeah. Yeah, I don't have anyone for that. Reese McGill with a 799 Australian dollars. Have you guys ever seen Speed Racer by the Wachowski sisters? It bombed when it first came out, but it's now gaining a cult follow. going.
Starting point is 01:38:59 I saw it when it came out. Yeah, I thought it was okay. I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of it, honestly. I might not like it now seeing it. You can tell their love for like anime in it. Yeah. It's interesting. It's definitely unique.
Starting point is 01:39:14 I think it would be a good movie to talk about actually as a recommendation. Sure. Yeah, it's probably a lot. It's a good like conversation movie. Yeah. It's very anime. Yeah, it's probably the most anime movie I've seen. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:25 an anime. I feel like if you're going to make a speed race movie, at least do that. Yeah. You know, that makes sense. Yeah. Zagrodon.
Starting point is 01:39:35 It's $5 here. A, badda, batta, boom, I'm immortalized in a live stream featuring my three favorite boys. You're welcome. Maximo Lakero with a 50 ARS.

Starting point is 01:40:30 Yeah, Dr. Pepper, I don't like. Yeah. Yeah, okay. Two for Pepsi, one for cake. Yeah, I like Roup beer. Roop Beer's good. Domno Sore says Farts Part 2. You guys should talk about threads
Starting point is 01:40:46 1982. Thank you. Wutter Polo Wolf says Invincible might be getting a live action show. What, are you serious? A live action show or movie. Do you guys think Some things have styles and tones that don't work in live action versus animated.
Starting point is 01:41:04 If that's true, that's stupid. Because that was one of the best things about it was the fact it was animated and made it work even better because it just makes sense with animation. Did you get around to Invincible? No, I didn't get around to it. And it just came out too invincible. Yeah, I don't know if this is true. They already making a new show. Well, yeah, this super chat saying they're apparently doing a live action thing.
Starting point is 01:41:28 I don't know. We'll see. Yeah. I hear it's good. Yeah, I want to see it invincible. A plate. I don't get around to the show is as quickly as I'd like to. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Oh, is that your food? Oh, my gosh. That's, yeah, I'll do. Whoa. Wow. That's, uh... It's a condo came with a salad. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:54 Hot down. That was good. That's good. Yeah, I'll see what I can do. I can embarrass myself with these chopsticks. Mm-hmm. Plate has a buck here. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:42:11 Dean M.114 with five bucks. Scoot guest appearance on the podcast, When? Adam Wen. Rhett Medders with the 19 U.S. dollars. Tuning in from Alaska right now. Congrats on 100 episodes. I love you guys and thank you for keeping me company for all this time. Alex, I want to talk about Daff Punk with you.
Starting point is 01:42:36 Same. Rast Punk. Also, FYI, we haven't eaten an all day. So this is, we're. We're making up for last time right now. Yeah. And we've been drinking a bit and I'm like, we shouldn't just drink on an empty stomach. Let's get some.
Starting point is 01:42:52 I'm going to get some food in the other room. Okay, perfect. Hold on the fort. Sure. I hope you all like ASMR. I hope you all like slurping noises. Because we're about to blow your speakers up. What level of ASMR do these mics provide?
Starting point is 01:43:10 Like if I chew. If you're, yeah, if you're close enough to it, it'll. It's like the noise. Ooziest, like, sloppiest, like noodle. Madness. I'm sure you're fine. Yeah, this is a vegan ramen. And since Alex isn't a pussy, he's okay trying vegan stuff.
Starting point is 01:43:35 Yeah, I'll often order vegan versions of things. Yeah, people are scared of that for some reason. Because they're cowards. Also, this is a really good vegan broth. You're never going to find, like, a better vegan ramen broth. Yeah, it was good. We got a side of tuna stuff anyway, so whatever. Not completely vegan, sorry
Starting point is 01:43:52 I was more hungry than I thought. Damn. It was necessary. Just eating. Slurping, gnombing, munch. All right. Let's see if I can make some progress on here. Yeah, read one.
Starting point is 01:44:13 Thoughts on your ghost Lantemosis films. Do you have a favorite one? You know, the favorite might be my favorite. I haven't seen it twice, though, so I can't really confirm. Yeah, the favorite would be my favorite, too. It's like he knew when he made it. Oh, what are you eating, Ralph? Or fries?
Starting point is 01:44:30 Burrito. Burrito. Some beans. This is our first meal together. Some beans. Yeah. That's right. Yeah, this shit delicious.
Starting point is 01:44:44 So that was Karam Vela. Salamander Automatic. Hey, guys, a big fan of the pod. Have you... Have any of you seen Mishima, a life in four chapters? If not, I think you would all really like it. Is that a... I forget who directed that.
Starting point is 01:44:56 I own it. Paul Schrader. Oh. First reformed did all that. Have you seen it? Card counter. You haven't seen it? Doggy dog. Have you said you haven't seen it though?
Starting point is 01:45:06 You own it, but you haven't seen it? No, I own it. I want to see it really bad. Yeah. I'll get around to it. I've been watching so many movies recently, but I'll get around to it. Story of my life. Very common thread here.
Starting point is 01:45:22 Not enough time. Have you all watched Kanji? silly billy seems up your alley I'm unaware of this film don't recognize the name let me search it up with one hand kanji are you talking about kanji final game what are you talking about I'm sorry I won't there's the only thing I can find on IMDB right away is like wait maybe kanji final game is like a sequel to kanji I wonder why the original doesn't show up if that's the case no this is Kaiji oh Kaiji is what I'm supposed to search anyway I
Starting point is 01:45:54 Okay. Not kanji. I miss read the answer. Kaiji. From Silly Billy. Apologies to Silly Billy. Are you talking about the TV series? Because there's Giacou Burykaiji.
Starting point is 01:46:09 You're going to need to help us out with things like, oh, this is on my watch list already. Okay. Giacu Buraikai Kaji is already on my watch list. So I will watch that at some point. Toch. 9.51 Gelligos. What? what your guy's favorite meal?
Starting point is 01:46:27 This one. At the moment. Ramen is good. I could always enjoy a ramen. But if I answer with the British side of my brain, I do like a nice roast dinner. I was telling you about what a roast dinner was. Do you know what a roast dinner is, Ra?
Starting point is 01:46:46 No, what's a roast dinner? It's basically just like what you'll have on Thanksgiving, but those are British people just have it on Sundays. It's just beans. Yeah, it's just beans. Just anything. Okay. Beans, yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:02 All those beans and that can. I don't know. Spaghetti. Pasta's usually good. I usually like that. The Italian things. Pizza. Yeah, anything Italian. Good food. Will D.
Starting point is 01:47:16 Nice talking heads in the corner. Thoughts on them. Well, Alex brought that for me, and I haven't listened to it yet, actually. Yeah, it's my favorite album. It's his favorite album. Oh, cool. Yeah, my favorite band, probably. Crewie 68.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Nothing. Thank you. Plate. Okay, so serious question is Ralph a furry. The problem, the problem with... No. But then nobody believes you no matter what you say. There's no way to answer that question.
Starting point is 01:47:46 People don't think... People don't think I'm a furry. There's some people that are like, I thought this was a joke for like 10 years. Sure. But I do... I do cover myself in a layer of irony. As previously mentioned.
Starting point is 01:48:03 Taylor, not to question, but Ralph, thank you for making great videos that make me laugh and look at movies in a better lens. Thank you, Taylor. That's nice. Thank you. Sven Ron Reloaded. Adam, can you make Alex smoke a big bong rip of weed stuff? He did that without my help last night, and he got very high. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah, it was something else.
Starting point is 01:48:26 Thanks, Canada. It's the superweed. Evil Canadian superweed. Cray Henderson. What's favorite movie rating app? Congrats on your 100th episode. That's most. Yeah, just IMDB, I guess.
Starting point is 01:48:50 The thing I use. Yeah, why I use. Not for the app, but just because it's all cataloged there. Probably letterboxed. You know, letterboxed. For now. For now, anyway. Colcats Studios, live react to tomorrow's Darmann special.
Starting point is 01:49:09 No thanks. Sorry. I'll react. Send it to me later. I'll react to it. Honey butter. Fellas, our movies actually good. You can't lie.
Starting point is 01:49:20 I am giving you money. You got us. Yeah. Movies are just bad. Our movies are not good. Yeah. I saw a video like, The reason 90% of movies today are bad or whatever.
Starting point is 01:49:32 It's a bit of an exaggeration. Was it your favorite video? Movies aren't bad. Is that my favorite video? No. No. I think that there's, yeah, I hear the sentiment a lot about movies just aren't as good as they used to be. I think that there's a lot of people that say that also just aren't watching the best movies that I think are the best movies in the year anyway.
Starting point is 01:49:55 And not like, oh, they disagree. They decided to watch them and disqual. agreed with my taste and didn't like them. Just they're not even looking for them sort of thing. So I don't know. Yeah. You can't just watch only big movies and then say all movies are bad without like trying to look for some good ones.
Starting point is 01:50:17 Isn't that the same of like most years? The majority of shit that's going to be released in a year is going to be shit. It's the same with music. Yeah. You know, like are you just going to listen to the top 40 and be like all music is bad? No. You gotta like actually find the shit worth watching and listening to you. Fatal Marchy 95. Hey guys. Love all the content you guys put out. Would you guys ever consider revisiting the handmaiden from Park Chanwick? Love you guys. Yes. I would love to. Sure. I like that one. On my 2016 list for sure. Thank you, Kirby 68 for the $1.000. Nova Wolf 4,000.
Starting point is 01:50:54 Been a fan of all your channels individually for a long time. Keep up the good work lads. Any of you watched Arcane on Netflix? No, we've been asked that a bunch. Thank you. Cameron Childress. Thank you guys for always having a great engaging podcast. For having great engaging podcast videos. I work at a distribution warehouse filming the insides of semi-trailers all the way.
Starting point is 01:51:18 Sorry, all day. And your convos help keep me sane. So big thanks again. Thank you for your support. Jake Dyer. Ralph sing, that terrible Spectre song again. And Alex use your annoying, cool cat voice. to sing smell like teen spirit.
Starting point is 01:51:33 They called it annoying. Sam Smith. It's Sam Smith. Lovely. It's like the most annoying. It's like the most annoying. High pitch. This is nice.
Starting point is 01:51:51 I know we've been desensitized to this like over the stream, but I would just like to point out that us buried in the bowl while Ralph sings that attached to this body. It's such an aesthetic. And I would just like to remind everybody. That sums up. Yeah. It sums up everything. I just want to make sure that that clip is posted somewhere out of context eventually.
Starting point is 01:52:11 Because that's a good. It's a mood. Especially now that you point it out. How's that ramen? Oh, it's delicious. It's damn good. Love it. Yeah, it looks good.
Starting point is 01:52:23 Yeah. I usually, when I order the combo, I usually just wind up putting this in the fridge for later anyway. So it's a lot of shit. This isn't even the largest size. Really? Yeah. There's another one. What size is this?
Starting point is 01:52:35 It's medium. Holy shit. Isn't that stupid? Yeah. But I got a lot of the extra stuff. Like, so, I don't go. Put in some extra veggies. Even that.
Starting point is 01:52:46 There's so many noodles. Yeah. Exactly. A medium amount of noodles. Mm-hmm. But we haven't eaten all day. We needed this. We've earned it.
Starting point is 01:52:57 Yeah. We're hungry. Thank you, Kirby. Again, Boston Grover wanted to ask Alex if he's listened to Slop. slow tie? Mm-hmm. To me...
Starting point is 01:53:05 Yeah, I like slow tie from what I've heard. Okay. They're on that last guerrillas album. Oh, cool. Ralph, I'm just going to use your leg here.
Starting point is 01:53:13 It seems to be picking up the mouse better. Good. All right. So, yeah, we've reached the end of where we refreshed last. So should I refresh one more time and then call it a day?
Starting point is 01:53:25 Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Yeah, that's our commitment. All right. I have one more drink here. I can take my dog out. Yeah. Everyone whose questions
Starting point is 01:53:33 have not been sent already. We will not be answering them in this stream. They will be on the screen, but we will not be answering them. This is... Chaos Theory is one that just got posted as the last one we will be doing. What was the last question we just asked? I forgot to control. I forgot to... Slow time. Slow time. Yeah. Mr. Mateo, have any of you heard or even played a game from the late 90s called Tomba or Tomba 2? It's one of my favorite childhood games of all time and has a small cult following. Just curious, love you boys. I've never heard of it. No. No, haven't heard of it. We'll check it out. Felix Lang, hey guys, love Sardonicast. Just wanted to ask what you would say is the most average movie you've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:54:12 Also, what are your guys' favorite anime's? The most average ever of all time? Average, that's a word. I don't know. You're going to say that apes movie? I was going to say that, but they use the word average, not formulated. Okay. So that's the most formulated movie ever made.
Starting point is 01:54:31 That's the most paint-by-numbers movie. It's not the most average. There's things that are more average, you know? Does that make sense? Yeah, no, I hear what you're saying. I feel like tons of Marvel movies are like that. Yeah. Name one.
Starting point is 01:54:51 Yeah, the category. Yeah, like I saw that Black Widow movie. Yeah, I can barely remember anything about it. Super, super average. average. Yeah, that's what they hit. Maybe slightly worse. Yeah, it depends which one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:15 Like the Eternals. Yeah, that was not average. That was worse than average. That's below average. Yeah, we'll talk about that. Yeah. Gus the Goose. Thoughts on two fictional Beatles films, Hard Day's Night and Help, as well as the Beatles in general, including solo careers.
Starting point is 01:55:33 I love the show. I haven't seen those films. I've seen Hope. I love the song yesterday. Yeah, I'm a Beatles fan, but I'm really delved into all the movies, because I just heard they're pretty bad for the most part. Yeah, kind of. I mean, the Help movie, I didn't get anything out of it.
Starting point is 01:55:52 People saw them when they came out because the Beatles were big. That's like, yeah. So now I've watched them. I don't think he'd get much out of them. Unless you like the Beatles. They just sing their songs. I think that's what Hard Day's Night is too. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:56:08 But help, they just sing some of their songs, you know. And it's like threaded together with like a loose story. Lose story. Yeah, very loose. Yeah. They're not really actors either. I know, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:24 But like they have scenes in the movie. Yeah, they have dialogue. Sam Harold. He's all submarine, too. Sam Harold. Hey, guys. Love all your channel. to Alex, have you considered venturing back to New Zealand during these COVID days?
Starting point is 01:56:38 Not during these COVID days, but once after the COVID days, then, yeah, of course. Have you considered going to New Zealand when they weren't letting anyone in New Zealand? Yeah, honestly, the main thing that puts me off is just how expensive the plane tickets are from the UK. Oh, yeah? They're so expensive. Yeah. And it's a painful flight as well. Okay. James Snyder, you guys are the best seriously.
Starting point is 01:57:01 I can't remember how many times have chuckled. along with your conversations to 100 episodes and 100 more. Thank you. The other Owen that was about one of the two Owens that are asking lots of questions. If you were to have John Toronto the show, would you have him invite the parrot to?
Starting point is 01:57:20 Yes, we would if we were to, but we're not answering if we were to. Lou, thoughts on the new Jim Cummings film. It was good. it just wasn't nearly as good as his other two. Ralph and Alex haven't seen it. I haven't seen it. Also, if I say anything about this movie publicly,
Starting point is 01:57:42 I should mention that I donated $200 to the film. And because of their business model on WeFunder, technically, if the movie is successful, I make back, like, I don't know, $5. So I just wanted to throw that out there. There's a conflict of interest. It's not anything I would notice. But when you know.
Starting point is 01:57:59 Yeah, make it $5 on the movie's not a big. Just letting you know. Have any of you seen to 10? Ralph and I have. Ralph and I have. Ralph and I both seem to enjoy it. We're waiting for Alex. We'll have a big discussion on that.
Starting point is 01:58:12 Thank you, Josh. Disturbing. Mark Crittenden. Hey, boys, I'm usually in Adams' live streams, but I want to thank all of you for expanding my mind on knowledge of movies and art in general. Thank you so much. Juan Ruiz.
Starting point is 01:58:26 Hey, guys, love the podcast. What is your favorite 10-10 film Adam has given? Honey Mountain? You know how they memorize all my ratings. Yeah, Holy Mountain. Yeah, that's easy. Is it a cherry. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:43 Fantastic planet. Yeah. Need another drink. Mm-hmm. Oh. All right. I'm going to put this to the side and then slurp more on this later. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:58:59 Thanks for being here, everyone. This has been really fun. Yeah. We've been recorded for like five hours. Crazy. Yeah. But, you know, it doesn't feel like it. Yeah, yeah, this whole trip is flying by.
Starting point is 01:59:10 It's just been hanging out. Yeah. Yeah. It's cool. James Snyder, how excited are you guys for the Northman? I mean, yeah, I'm excited for it. There's no trailers out. Is that a new Robert Eggers.
Starting point is 01:59:26 What is that? With Bjork. Okay. I figured. I figured that's where it was. Okay. Yeah. I'm excited for it.
Starting point is 01:59:32 Is it he doing Nosephratu? I don't know. Isn't he? I don't remember. That one's been. in development for a while, I think. Jack David, when are you guys going to talk about Tetsu with Iron Man
Starting point is 01:59:46 or any other Shinya Sukamoto film? He's my favorite director. That is one that's been on my watch list for a while. I haven't gotten to it yet, so suggest that one on the next fan recommendation, because we might do another one of these, honestly.
Starting point is 02:00:02 Does it make you sad that you just won't be able to see all the movies? No. There's so many fucking good ones. yeah well by the time I realize that I've lost my ability by the time I've crossed the moment of no return which is death I won't care because I'll be dead
Starting point is 02:00:20 but you could have seen all the movies yeah but it won't matter there's no could have should have would have yeah you can't see all the movies you can't yeah there's new ones coming out all the time good ones but you can watch Lord of the Rings
Starting point is 02:00:34 302 times in one year is there even enough time for that that's what Netflix says apparently one person did that oh so that's literally the exact number it was around it was the early 300s I think I might have nailed it I don't know okay
Starting point is 02:00:51 that's hardcore commitment right there Chris Schetchel question slightly more for Alex and Ralph but Adam can't answer too do you guys like buying Blu-rays is there a favorite in your library for any cause I like buying Blu-rays
Starting point is 02:01:07 I don't really have a Blu-ray buyer I buy everything on like iTunes and Amazon Prime and stuff. Yeah, yeah. I am not that way. I buy all my games digitally, and that's why I know I don't like it, because I don't like going on Steam and seeing all my games like it's like a list of downloads. I don't like that. Maybe my own personal.
Starting point is 02:01:31 And I also think Blu-rays, well, it's not my opinion. Blu-rays have higher quality just by a little bit. Yeah, that's the thing that's making me change my mind. Yeah. So that's like a big thing for me. Yeah, compression can be really annoying. I like having a copy of some. I have some things digitally, digital.
Starting point is 02:01:49 Like the lighthouse. I bought it on Amazon. So I have that. Alex, you buy films digitally, but you buy music on vinyl. Oh, yeah? Or at least you brought a vinyl here. I'm assuming you're somewhat into vinyl, right?
Starting point is 02:02:04 Well, I have some vinyl. You used to have like a roommate who, uh, had his record player at mine and we'd listen to records a lot so I've got a few line around but I don't have one at the moment it's something I do want to get into them okay yeah sure I just got a nice record player yeah I like listening to tenant um little shop of horrors I got yeah well I have a lot of Hans Zimmer scores actually so like 10 well not amazing spiderman too but I have Dunkirk yeah that one I should get that one You lied to me.
Starting point is 02:02:40 Did you see someone's like, I completely forgot this existed until I think somebody in our subreddit posted that they had a copy. It was this ridiculous 4K Amazing Spider-Man 2 collector's box set. It was just like a mold of Electra's stupid head. No. With like a good four discs in it or something. It looks ugly. It looks so disgusting.
Starting point is 02:02:59 I don't know who would want that. Apparently one of our fans. Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer has done a lot of scores, to be fair. He's like the industry composer. So there's like a shit ton of movies. You probably don't even know he does the score for. Yeah, that Spider-Man movie is terrible.
Starting point is 02:03:15 He did the score. That's also bad for that. Yeah. Fucking terrible that movie. Yeah, isn't that something? Yeah, it's disgusting. It's disgusting. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:28 Oh, my God. It's terrible. I might need to find this on eBay. That stupid box set, yeah. Like, wow. Got it for me for Chris. Christmas, Alex. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:40 Okay. Yeah, I will. I'll do that. No. I'll get a few, maybe. Get me a Venom box set that comes with Eminem's, like a CD of Eminem's song. I still haven't given you that 50 bucks, too. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:55 That's not right. I was going to wait to seeing the Spider-Rond movie just to make sure. We're going by my qualifiers now. Is the bet still gone? I already conceded. I said people think that I lost the money, so I don't. want it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:12 What do you think, Raff? What do you think? You technically won. It doesn't matter much to me. I mean, from what I gather, I think I won the bet already.
Starting point is 02:04:21 I'm just curious to see if Venom's in it. Maybe we can make a separate wager. You want to do a separate one? Another 50 bucks for Venom being in this new one. So you can actually you can get your money back, but you can break even.
Starting point is 02:04:37 like you could do a double or nothing. So you get your 50 back. Oh, so I either... You can get Alex out of death. I give you 100. I give you 100 or you give me 100. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:51 This is, I'm no way I'm participating in this. But what's the qualifier though? Like, what are we actually back at this point? Because he's like going to be in the movie. You have to be so specific about what you... Now that we're closer to it, we can maybe be more specific. But you have to like, yeah, you have to be like... The thing is, I don't know if, I don't actually know
Starting point is 02:05:09 Fennam's going to be in the movie. Like, I don't feel that secure in the background. You have to separate. I felt way more secure in saying that Venom would sum up or crossover with Tom Holland. Like, I felt so, you know, like that didn't.
Starting point is 02:05:20 So are you like confident he would be in more than just a cameo scene? Because that's the only thing I'd put money on. That's the important thing to separate. No, I think it's a cameo. I think it would just be a campaign. So we all agree. I can double enough,
Starting point is 02:05:32 yeah. Okay, okay. We can, we can live here. All right. That's our expectation. would he be like one of the major villains maybe I just can't see that you think he would be in the trailer already
Starting point is 02:05:44 why would they keep that a secret you'd think he would be in a trailer because they want you to you don't want you to see it coming but you know there's the there's the sinister six or whatever and I think there's five villains in the in the trailer so they're missing one oh really you know there's
Starting point is 02:05:58 his salmon what was the lizard um green goblin electro, doc, ox, so that's five. So that one could be, I mean, that one could be anybody. But it could be Venom. You willing to put money on it?
Starting point is 02:06:15 Uh-huh. And that's the Sinister Six right there. Well, if you're willing to put money on it. So I don't think it's been on the camera. Double or nothing. I don't know. I'm tempted. One of the Owens asks, what's the first thing you would ever want to ask Quintan Tino if you ever meet him? I would say left or right foot.
Starting point is 02:06:35 which one? What's your favorite? Big toe or pinky toe? Yeah. I wonder what you think of my like weird conjoined toes that I've got. Oh, you got webbed feet? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:06:45 Just two in the middle. Yeah, on each side. You should upload it to Wiki feet. I'm not going to do that. Okay. I would tell him to make one more movie. And then I'd tell him make more movies after
Starting point is 02:06:59 because, yeah, because it's a bunch of shit. I'd tell him to keep making movies until he's dead for my beautiful. Excusement. Uncle Ernie. What are your opinions on Clockwork Orange? I think we all love it. Yep.
Starting point is 02:07:14 Yeah, that's probably one of the best movies ever. Tepperlehead. Adam has legs. Maybe. Aaron. I don't. Guiterres. Would you consider watching Neongenesis
Starting point is 02:07:27 Evangelion? It's one of the most unique anime I've watched besides Perfect Blue. Would love to hear your thoughts. I'll watch it someday. This has been suggested a lot of times. I'll catch it at some point. I've seen it before.
Starting point is 02:07:41 I watched it when I was like 17, so it's pretty muddy at this point. Okay. I feel like I miss something. It's on my watch list. It's on my watch list, even though I don't want to watch it. I don't want to watch it. Bancy Ball Studios.
Starting point is 02:07:57 I had the pleasure of watching the Lord of the Rings extended trilogy in theaters thanks to flashback cinema. What are films you would like to see in theaters? I guess what would like to see back in theaters Godfather Godfather Never seen that in a theater
Starting point is 02:08:11 Either of them I'd like to see the 2001 Like you saw right Yeah That'd be cool One of the Owens is back If Jeremy Irons and Chuitel Ejafor Or to fight who would be left with a scar
Starting point is 02:08:26 Well they both already have scars If we're talking about the characters It's a silly question question. You just wanted me to read it and I did it. Thank you. Thanks, Alan. Thank you, crewy for another dollar. Goose. Thoughts on Aussie cinema, walkabout picnic at hanging rock, Lake Mungo, etc. I watched Lake Mungo. It wasn't very good. That was a really average movie. I was a Aussie film I was going to recommend. Sorry. There's none of these though. I don't know if I'm still going to do it. I won't say the name. I should keep you a secret just in case. I've seen a
Starting point is 02:09:02 couple of Aussie films. I'd have to like try and find them though. Wolf Creek was fine. The TV show is really silly. I'll finish watching it at some point. Zachary Cafago. Hey guys, thanks for giving me something to look forward to during quarantine.
Starting point is 02:09:25 A fun fact, Stephen Soderberg's bubble was filmed around my hometown. Yes. Thank you. Cool. Balderman, have any of you seen four lions? Keep up the good work. I think I tried maybe? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:09:35 There was like a one funny joke and then the rest of it was all right. Yeah, I like four lines. I think it's pretty funny. Yeah. It's hilarious. Blue says strongly recommend Easter Holocaust, 2020. Let's figure out what the hell this is.
Starting point is 02:09:49 Cannibal Holocaust sequel. It's got 62 ratings on IMDB and a 2.2 out of 10. Let's do it on my watch list. Seems great. Yeah, sounds great. JCC Infinity. If you guys were in Squid Game Which game would you succeed at in which one would most likely be the death of you? Oh shit
Starting point is 02:10:12 Well I think I'd be good at all of them I think I'd win You'd win Squid Game They'd make it? No No The cracker one I'd definitely die on I'd do something stupid
Starting point is 02:10:30 Too many of them rely on other people also You can't even be, it doesn't even matter if you're confident Yeah Yeah movie and gaming aficionado my top five of 2021 so far
Starting point is 02:10:42 would be nine days titan pig dune and the green night thoughts the only one I haven't seen is nine days I guess yeah I'd say green night

Starting point is 02:11:00 yeah titan titan might make a best of your list I don't think pig well mm-hmm pig is good
Starting point is 02:11:09 I like it I like it I don't know if I'd put it up better yeah What Samada asks What Samada with you guys Have you seen Tim Hydecker's Stand Up on YouTube
Starting point is 02:11:22 No I haven't seen it Well depending on how you define standup I've seen some sketches on YouTube I've seen him live Doing something that might be stand up I don't know Paul Cruz films. Hey, thanks for all the last and getting me into film. Hope to make something

Have any of you seen the movie October Sky? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I've seen the poster. I haven't seen the film. I haven't seen it. Ken Dundar Victor Thank you for Thanks for your interesting media perspectives
Starting point is 02:12:12 wondering if any of you have been dabbing And reviewing video game storytelling Like Final Fantasy 14 Not like that It's not an MMO I was about to say I think there's a lot of guys Like Final Fantasy specific example
Starting point is 02:12:24 Yeah story based games Yeah That's more of my wheelhouse Does that game have like a story that people I don't even know I think so like, oh, those games get good once you get to the eighth one. Once you get to the 30th hour of the eighth one.
Starting point is 02:12:43 Yeah. Yeah, I played a few final fantasies. It's like bad. Storytelling isn't usually what posts me in. Mapy, 1964, what movies have you seen that you thought were going to be great, but turned out to be horrible and vice versa? I thought the Lego movie would be shit, and I really enjoyed it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:03 I think it's awesome. Yeah, that's a good one. I don't usually set my expectations really high, though, for films. Yeah, you kind of learn after why you put up a barrier. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah, I don't have any specifics right now. Deb B says, hey guys, I love Sardinacast.
Starting point is 02:13:31 I'm very drunk. Thank you. Thanks, Debt B. Cool. Gold Galaxy 28. You boys like adventure time. I like the first two seasons I like what I've seen of it
Starting point is 02:13:44 it's probably the same question yeah I like it for sure I like it it's funny CDP 2 says the cinema episode of Mr. Robot is so good well thank you god is that from how long ago
Starting point is 02:13:56 the chat is from the cinema episodes oh I don't remember I don't think you were here Ralph and I was saying about yeah that's one of the best episodes that was 80s
Starting point is 02:14:06 we're trying we'll get there Felix Lang What is the saddest movie ending you guys have ever seen? For me, it's got to be The Mist and Seven. The Mist? I'm going to say Dear Zachary without spoiling anything. Yeah, no, I've seen it.
Starting point is 02:14:20 I can agree with you. It's pretty fucked. The word saddest is being used. Yeah. Ralph, have you seen it, though? Dear Zachary, no. What's your saddest movie? I would say Marley and me or Forest Gump.
Starting point is 02:14:36 Made me cry. Mark Valley. Hey, guys. Could the Snowman be good? Scorsese or Fincher directed it. Love you guys. I don't know if directing was the problem, really. No.
Starting point is 02:14:46 No, the snowman is fucking awful. It didn't stand out as being a poorly directed film. It was just a movie where nothing was happening. It's a movie where nothing made sense. It felt like half the movie was missing. True. Yeah, so no. That's like that one was so bad.
Starting point is 02:15:00 I can't fucking believe how bad that was. Evo anime, we question. Is a silent voice on your list? I think it is a lot better than your name. Well, I'll watch it at some point. but I don't know about you guys yeah I don't recognize another anime
Starting point is 02:15:14 same director I think is your name BT Bailey 15 I do not think I have heard you guys speak about it but what are your thoughts on the movie The Witch 2015 I'm going to be rewatching that soon I love the lighthouse maybe if I didn't love the lighthouse so much
Starting point is 02:15:32 I wouldn't rewatch it I liked the first time I saw it I liked the language and the dialogue specifically It's one of the most memorable things about it to me. Yeah. Yeah, and the whole atmosphere. Really authentic.
Starting point is 02:15:46 But again, that's one I need to rewatch. I do much prefer the lighthouse there, personally. Yeah, I liked it when it came out. Lighthouse is much better. Cool. Both are good. Digbingus. Have you guys seen the documentary Streetwise?
Starting point is 02:16:00 If not, you should check it out. I have not seen it. No. I will. We'll check it out. Peter Bartlett asking about Speed Racer. We've already answered that. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 02:16:11 I quite like your podcast. Cheers. Thank you. Thank you. Chandler Tucker, thank you guys for all the laughs over the years. I got to ask because it's my favorite show. Are you excited for Better Call Saul final season? I do not watch it, so now. Yeah. Yeah, I'm really excited.
Starting point is 02:16:27 Didn't even know it's still going. Yeah. Yeah, we'll nearly do. It should be good. I'm looking forward to it. Yeah, it's a great show. I think it's going to be a solid-ass ending. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:37 Dakota Man. writers. Nine. Question for all three of you if that's all right if you were going if you were to go on a torture session
Starting point is 02:16:43 purely for entertainment what are the top three worst movies or games you could watch or play top three worst movies or games if we wanted to be torture
Starting point is 02:16:51 this is a weird question how do I even start to begin this I don't know how to answer that torture session what do we hate lying gang 2019 I don't know
Starting point is 02:17:04 yeah happy time murders that was painful it would be like that and then ride to hell retribution like play that for a few hours and then another movie I would say like
Starting point is 02:17:16 just burn notice on a heat whatever it's called that was cool what is it the new one that Netflix movie I know exactly where you're talking red notice
Starting point is 02:17:28 red notice oh red notice oh yeah red notice it looks like a fake movie that's a good choice deviant art like poster someone's made
Starting point is 02:17:36 yeah yeah red notice yeah mr mosby what are your thoughts on western adult animation TV shows I find it odd that most are comedies unlike children's animations where there's variety yeah this comes out fairly often doesn't it
Starting point is 02:17:53 people just think animation is for babies so they don't trust anything adventures although maybe it's shifting with like this actually no yeah I'll watch some Bojack.
Starting point is 02:18:08 Shifting slowly. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe the streaming wars will get some good content out of it. There just needs to be that one that just goes squid game crazy. Did you not read a comment that said Farts Part 2 a while ago? Yeah, I did. Certainly we haven't read a bunch of the same...
Starting point is 02:18:28 I don't think so. No, okay. Domno Soar posted the same comment twice then. Okay. are messing us up here. Threads 1982. Was that a part of the previous one too? Which one?
Starting point is 02:18:44 I don't even know what threads 19882 is. Farts. Oh. They're asking about threads. I haven't seen it. Yeah, I'm not familiar either. Maybe they asked earlier and we missed it or something. Well, we've never seen it.
Starting point is 02:18:58 Sorry. Angel Ordis, are there any concert films you folks have seen or enjoyed? For example, stop making sense, perform my talking heads and directed by Jonathan Demme. Yeah, start making sense. It's amazing. I, um, none that stand out to me. Unless you count that weird, the national one that was like half about a documentary about the guy's brother ruining things.
Starting point is 02:19:21 That was fun. Yeah, does it count? Have any of you listened to Soco? Love the passion you guys put into everything. Stay sane. Yeah, I like I'll kill her. That's about it. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:19:40 Yep. Thank you. XD. 5133, are any of you guys dead heads or have any thoughts on Jonah Hill playing Jerry Garcia? I'm not aware of this. Yeah, me neither. Oh, yeah. I think it's the new Scorsese. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:19:55 Okay. Curious. That should be good. Scorsese. Alex says, us jarlings excited, exited the caves to watch this beautiful celebration. We love you, Alex, Ralph, and Adam. Thank you, Alex. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:20:09 Bon Bambaldi, when adapting something to the big screenbooks, games, older movies, etc. How much responsibility do you hold to the source material compared to the filmmakers in terms of how the movie turns out? It's just the film they can turn it into whatever they want. You can turn something with shit source material into a good movie. How do you hold to the source material compared to the filmmakers? You probably shouldn't change it unless you're really confident in your vision? We talked about like Dune a couple episodes ago And you know
Starting point is 02:20:45 The Lynch version versus the Deney version And the Deney one is just Way more accurate to the source material Way less condensed Yeah Than that Lynch one So I don't
Starting point is 02:21:00 Feels more faithful Yeah like if you're Especially if it's a book like that famous You might as well Go in in terms of accuracy. Sure. It's got another movie already.
Starting point is 02:21:19 Woo! All right. Next up. Maday. Not going to leave you alone with 9-inch nails. What does Adam think? Is that a song or a band? We were talking about 9-ish nails earlier. Do you like 9-inch nails? Yeah. Any of their stuff?
Starting point is 02:21:33 Yeah. Yeah. I listened to a lot of it. I went through like a phase, I guess. There's some songs I still like, but yeah no strong opinions I guess Marco Mendoza have you guys heard of the game inscription I think it would be fun I think it'd be an interesting game to discuss in a future episode congrats on 100 episodes
Starting point is 02:21:56 no never heard of it yeah I'm not sure all right Lucas did you watch King Richard I don't know what that oh wait no that's the fuck that's the stupid new Venus and Serena movie that they decided to name King Richard and make about their dad.
Starting point is 02:22:15 Yeah, Will Smith is in it. I'm like, what a weirdly marketed movie. And then they say, they say their full names in the trailer twice so that people watching the trailer are like, oh, this is about Serena Williams. Literally Will Smith is. Serena Williams twice.
Starting point is 02:22:32 And then they named the movie King Richard and made it about him and not, I mean, like, what is that supposed to be? That looks so stupid. Not really interested. Yeah, who's going to watch that? Jared's doodle. Since we had just had the topic of first movies to make you cry thoughts on the Iron Giant,
Starting point is 02:22:48 it was good. Yeah, I like it. I've always liked the Iron Giant. We'll revisit it someday. We've talked about it on the podcast before. Yeah, yeah. That's a recommendation. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:22:56 Oblong, Hilfinger. Alcoholic goat. Any thoughts on fan edits? I've never actually watched a full one. I think that in concept, they're good. Yeah, they like that they're fun in concept. Yeah, nothing wrong with fan edits. Uh, Sikab, do you want to finish my ramen?
Starting point is 02:23:15 Yeah, it's right there, I'm full. There's tons here as well. Yeah. You can finish it. You got an appetite. You need a lot. Yeah, go in. It needs to...
Starting point is 02:23:26 It's not spicy. Not spicy. It's the vegan one. It's got like a little bit of kimchi. Do you want some of this tuna and rice? Oblong healthing figure asks, Will this episode be re-uploaded next Monday? or will it be up this week?
Starting point is 02:23:48 I don't know. We didn't really have a plan. We might, we'll probably re-upload this as its own thing with the intro and the waveform. I don't know. Should we do a audio only, like, is there like a logical place you could cut it off and have,
Starting point is 02:24:04 I don't know if you need all of the super chats at the end for the, for like a podcast version? I don't know. This is like a one-off thing. Yeah. And I'm very busy. To have to go over.
Starting point is 02:24:15 this again, even when it's already so long. Yeah, I think if this is a weird episode, I think we'll be forgiven. I think people mind. Ralph, do you have any projects in the works? Outside of Ralph, the movie maker, really loved lovers. And your prior short film says, Asbel Blas.
Starting point is 02:24:37 Thank you. Yeah, I'm writing a movie. We'll work on it. Just writing, no. Nothing else. You know, nothing's filming now. Mr. Bum 2.0. No question.

Starting point is 02:25:08 I like chronic a lot. New Order was disturbing, but I wish there was more substance. I talked about it, right? They haven't seen it. I don't think they have. Yeah.

Starting point is 02:25:47 yeah yeah really cool simple and effective and yet complicated very well directed yeah yeah like clive owen clive owen's good yeah the action scenes or
Starting point is 02:26:01 whatever the set pieces whatever you want to call they're amazing in that movie some of the most intense scenes like the ending the scene in the car I like the scene where he's like rolling the car down the hill too that was like really intense moment

Starting point is 02:27:52 After hearing about it being The more normal one That's a weird way to put it I guess I don't know if I've heard people say that I guess in comparison It is kind of I like it
Starting point is 02:28:04 It doesn't have a normal It's his only 4K Blu-ray right now I enjoy it Yeah I probably I remember it more I remember more specific things about it that I do
Starting point is 02:28:15 El Topo. And I'm assuming you guys haven't seen Sontes aren't right? Yeah, I am. Adrian, what do you think we'll stop doing remakes and reboots and sequels and focus more on original content? Never. Are we all in agreeance? Yeah. Yes. Just too good. Beyond Polanski, being a piece of shit, Ralph, what didn't work about Ghost Writer
Starting point is 02:28:34 2010? What about Ghost Rider? The Polansky film, they're asking you what didn't work about it? Did Polanski you make that? Yeah, the one with what was it?
Starting point is 02:28:48 Yeah. Right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. I thought it was great. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:28:54 Yeah. The guys directed good movies. Yeah. I mean, he's still a shitty person. Still has. Yeah. But yeah, Ghost Rider's great. Adrian.

Thank you so much. Larry Jones, you guys are are sigmas. Oh, cool. Thank you. Glenn, uh, if seen, thoughts on Twin Peaks, the return. I guess you guys have and I haven't? Yeah, that's good. It's really good. So, uh, it's David Lynch. So, you know, it's weird. Yeah, Twin Peaks is a near the top of my list of things I want to go through soon. Yeah. frankly I'm a person since Adam has gone to Ralph how do you edit and move and movie make without hands
Starting point is 02:30:18 to Alex do you ever feel bad that your avatar is a truer ginger no what's wrong I'm ginger yeah what the fuck oh see Ralph was hiding his hands he's had them the whole time all right Sergio Rivera Rivera river rivera love you guys been a fan since at least 2013. Love you guys. What do you guys think of American Psycho? And are you excited for the upcoming TV show? I wasn't aware there was going to be an American Psycho TV show. I don't know. I think maybe I heard that for a second. I'm never going to be excited for something, but I'm interested. Okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:31:02 I mean, that's interesting. Yeah, I like the movie, a lot. I like to talk about it on the podcast at some point. Yeah, movie's great. TIG movie reviews. What movies are so graphically disturbing that you will never watch them again, but you also consider them to be very good movies. No, I always watch things again if they're fucked up. Yeah, I won't say I'll never watch them again. There are plenty of movies that purposefully make me uncomfortable. The best way is possible, like you're uproquim for a dream or whatnot, but I want to see it again,
Starting point is 02:31:37 though. If I abstain from a second viewing, it's because the movie was bad, not because it was graphic. Sergio Ribero What do you guys think of the film? Jennifer's Body People hated it back in 2009 But now it has a huge cult following
Starting point is 02:31:50 With critical re-appraisal I've heard about that recent cult following thing It makes me want to check it out But I never saw it back in the day in the first place So I think I did when it came out Yeah But again it was a while ago
Starting point is 02:32:05 That might be a good recommendation one If it's kind of resurging right now You could do it? What about you, Ralph? Are you aware of this? Did you watch it? Jennifer's body? No, haven't seen it. I don't think I have anyway. Flop says smoke weed every day. Thank you. Dahl. Stay cool, my dudes. Thank you. Halloween villages. Hey, Big Fanny, your work. I wanted to know your thoughts on something. I always see when I watch an older video, was there ever a golden age of YouTube?
Starting point is 02:32:36 Yeah, kind of. Yeah, video responses. Those are dope. Yeah, why'd they get rid of that? Now TikTok's just swallowed it up. Yeah. Why'd you give it to TikTok? Nobody wants this. Yeah. And then, oops, a competitor.
Starting point is 02:32:49 I've seen a movie. Yeah, that was a fun time back then. Owen Delaney. Jennifer's body a time ago. Oh, okay. Do you guys ever receive requests from random people to critique their work or give them tips and pointers on their own work? Yes, all the time.
Starting point is 02:33:06 Yeah. Yeah. It's difficult. Sergio Rubiro again. Have you seen the 1997 horror? anime perfect blue. I have. I thought it was decent. I enjoyed it. I'd be, I think I would like to watch it again. I might have a better appreciation for it, especially after seeing the Satoshi Khan documentary that came at a can this year. It's always been on the watch list. It's one of the animas I feel like.
Starting point is 02:33:29 But you said in not to watch that documentary if you hadn't seen some of them. It is like a little spoilery for some of his works, but I don't, it depends how well you retain that information and I still enjoyed watching it. Hunter, do you have a favorite moment from a film festival or a favorite film festival in general? Hmm, moment from. Well, I did interview Charlie Kaufman, so that was pretty cool. There's mine. I liked seeing Willem Defoe at the lighthouse screening I went to.
Starting point is 02:34:04 Very nice. Yeah, that was fun. All the Vegas was on as well. Yeah, that was cool. Ralph has been to one film festival. You've been to Sundance. Yeah. And then like smaller ones for my own movies.
Starting point is 02:34:18 Yeah. Is there a favorite? Sundance was nice. It's very nice. Very nice town. G. Money, money, I've been a fan from the beginning. Much love from Washington State. Thanks, G, money, money.
Starting point is 02:34:37 Thank you. Samantha Cameron, wait, is Alex in Vancouver, is Adam in England. Both. We are here through the magic of the internet. Long distance. James Keene, have you ever seen the 1984 British TV film Threads? Legitimately disturbing and it even ruined my sleep for a while. Is that what somebody was asking about threads before?
Starting point is 02:34:57 Is that the same? Yeah, they keep asking about to do it. I'll watch it. I will watch it. It is on my watch list already. Oh, okay. Like Reddit Threads? Yes.
Starting point is 02:35:14 Is that on my watch? It's the Reddit Thread movie. they predicted it Jackson I like the director's name Mick it Jackson Glenna has anyone seen on becoming a guide in Central Florida
Starting point is 02:35:26 Atlanta most worked on it as well as Clooney it's a fun watch I have not seen that is that a new thing 2019 TV show it's already on my watch list I'm a chill gammie must go to work
Starting point is 02:35:47 thank you for me Thank you amazing content. And for pushing me to watch six feet under wonderful series. You should talk about it someday. Thank you and good night. Thank you. Yeah, a great show. I'm Clifford today.
Starting point is 02:35:57 What are you guys thoughts on actors who don't watch the films they're in? It seems a bit selfish since they can't fully appreciate the work of others that had a part in the film IMO. I don't know if I'd call it. You don't know. No, it's not selfish to choose what you experience. I don't know. If they find the like act of acting to be. satisfying in and of itself, like the creative process of that.
Starting point is 02:36:21 I don't mind if they don't care about seeing their own movies? There's a few actors that do that, don't they? You're allowed to do whatever you want with your art. Yeah, what if they don't like watching themselves. Yeah, and it's also like, they might compartmentalize it differently as like, oh, this is my work. They might not even be able to get into the narrative knowing that they're in it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:36:44 You know? A chill gummy, I abbreviated thank you and good night to save by five bucks. Let's go. Thank you. Felix Lang, you guys watched Thunderpants, a literal fart movie. Yeah, this was big around, it's like a weird British movie with the, fuck, the ginger guy, Harry Potter. Yeah, yeah. Well, Simon Callow.
Starting point is 02:37:12 3.8 out of 10. It's like a kid who like flies into space with thoughts. Okay, I'll watch it. Yeah. See, I'm worth it. Stephen Fry's in it. I see it, yeah. Not very good.
Starting point is 02:37:25 I didn't like it. I was not a fan. Very interesting. Brendan McDonald. I would like to recommend multiple movies for potential watches on future Star Donica's Lone Star. Apparently has a three billboards feel. Exotica from 1984.
Starting point is 02:37:41 Hamlet, 1948. The Great Silence, 1968 and 2046. 2006. We will consider that. Thank you. K.H. Scary Movie 4. Is there any moral line that shouldn't be crossed
Starting point is 02:37:53 when dealing with real-life horrid and triggering events? I assume I mean in movies. I don't know. I don't know. Just don't be exploitative. I mean, like, and there's no... She's difficult, but...
Starting point is 02:38:13 I don't know. Especially when talking about art. It's like I don't want to make blanket rolls, but, S.B. Seneck Viki soundtrack versus Holy Mountain Soundtrack. Also, any thoughts on Frank Zappa? I mean, they're both great. I don't know if I could pick right now. We're running on fumes and we're almost at the end of these. We just ate a lot of food.
Starting point is 02:38:34 And we're very tired. I like what I've heard from Frank Zappa, though. Tyler, help the horse has held, has me held captive until I watch Seneck Diki, New York. Good luck with that. Thank you. HomeCamp Productions. who out of all of you is the tallest. I am.
Starting point is 02:38:54 Adam. Ralph is. Ralph is. No. Today he is. Not true. He is today. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 02:39:03 Today I am. Yeah. Dev. Favorite type of bean, Alex? Black bean, kidney. Cannellini. Pinto? Bate bean?
Starting point is 02:39:18 Is that allowed? Is baked a type of? of bean though. That's what it says on the tin. Surely it's a baked type of, it's a baked bean, but the bean that's being baked is a type
Starting point is 02:39:30 of bean that isn't necessarily just called a baked bean. They're mostly just taste of like tomato to be honest, so. I don't know. Green bean? Does that count? Yeah. I'll say green bean. Sure.
Starting point is 02:39:43 Okay. Have any of you seen the 1998 movie Pleasantville? I have yet to see it. Yeah, not yet. It's on my watch list. Not yet. And then last one, we've reached the top.
Starting point is 02:39:59 Sorry for anybody else who didn't get before the cutoff, but we are not doing any more. We're exhausted. Chaos Theory. Hey, lads. Have you ever seen the movie? Head, 1968. I like it, but for whatever reason,
Starting point is 02:40:09 every person I've shown the movie to cannot stand it. Well, that sounds intriguing. Yeah, this looks interesting. I'll watch list it. Head? Head. Mm-hmm. Head.
Starting point is 02:40:20 Head. Okay, I'll check it out. Thank you. The Monkeys. Yeah, what do they mean by that? They're in the movie. Oh, the band, the Monkeys. That's what it says on the poster.
Starting point is 02:40:32 Oh, yeah, I am. Oh, interesting. Okay. All right, thank you all so much. And before we end this, there is a film recommendation. Oh, of course. From Alex, the lion from Madagascar.
Starting point is 02:40:48 So we've talked about a bunch of movies, the kind of deserve being revisited, and I've wanted to revisit this one for ages. We had a brief discussion when I first saw it years ago, that being Antichrist. I think it's time. Okay. I think it's time for Antichrist to come back, break it down. It's time. All right.
Starting point is 02:41:13 Antichrist. I get to show it to someone. Let's do it. I get to introduce it to someone and have them say, what the fuck? Very hype. All right. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:41:28 Thank all of you for listening. What was our highest view count, fanboy? We aren't looking at the views here. I'm just curious. It's on the other. If we were watching it from, yeah, we just don't have that on the screen. 3K peak. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 02:41:47 Nice. Yeah, that's good. Peak. Thousand people watch for them. Yeah. Thank you so much for hanging out. Thank you for listening. We will probably, I don't know,
Starting point is 02:41:58 we'll unlist this video until we figure out what we're doing with it. We might republish it as like the episode. Like, I don't know. We'll figure it out. I'm tired, though. I'm not going to think about it for a day. Yeah. It's just chill.
Starting point is 02:42:10 Yeah. We've had a busy week. Busy boys all around. Yeah. Not good boys. That's good. We enjoy the rest of it. And yeah, so, yeah, lots of questions, but we did it.
Starting point is 02:42:24 Yeah, it's been so much fun. Yeah, I guess what else is there to say? If you want to support the show, sardonicast.com, sign up for premium, $2 a month.
