Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:983 Like It Was Running On A Escalator
Episode Date: August 26, 2023We will be chatting with Mike. Mike and his family were on a vacation traveling up and down the west coast. On August 3rd Mike and his family were traveling through California when a large creature ju...mped up on two legs and took off running up the hill. Mike said "As we rounded the corner in our RV this thing got up and took off running like a man. It was too big to be a man and the speed and the way it moved left me in shock. My wife has never believed in Bigfoot and she was in shock." I will also be speaking to Ronan who is from Michigan. Ronan writes "My brother and I have had a face to face encounter with a Bigfoot when I was about 9 and he was 7. I am now 18 and he is 16." I spoke to Ronan and he said that they lived in the country and had these mini hatchet's and were chopping tree's and bushes and the creature was a little bit bigger then them but it wasn't King Kong. When the creature approached it looked confused like it was running up on something else.

It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind
and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up
and that shocked me.
They don't make people that big.
The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.
I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears.
What are you reporting?
Get somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That's son of a bitch is about six years.
This is about six foot nine.
I don't know.
Do you see a male, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right in.
Uh-uh.
This is Phoenix bunting from Laxville First Nation,
and you are listening to West Germmer of Sasquatch Chronicles.
Welcome to the show, everyone.
Thanks for being here tonight.
Got a great show plan for you.
We'll be chatting with Mike.
And Mike was on a family vacation in his RV going up and down the West Coast,
and had a very,
strange sighting. I'll kind of let Mike go into it. We'll also be chatting with Ronan. And
Ronan comes to us from Michigan. And Ronan just graduated high school. He was telling me when he was
about nine, him and his little brother, who was seven, had a run in with one of these creatures.
And I asked Ronan to come on. I know he's nervous about coming on, but I think it's important
to hear what he has to say with regard to his encounter. And congrats Ronan for finishing
school. If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email.
My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance, check out
Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. Let's jump into it tonight.
I want to welcome Mike to the show. Mike, thanks for coming on.
Thanks for having me, Wes. Yeah, and if you would, I know this is a very recent siting. Your
happened on August 3rd just a few weeks ago.
If you would, just kind of start from the very beginning.
What were you doing?
And what happened?
Sure.
So we were going out to a wedding at Bambridge Island in Seattle for five days.
So I figured that, you know, we'd make the most of it and rent an RV.
And like I said, my son is a huge Bigfoot fan.
Everything is Bigfoot with him.
So I wanted to, you know, do a little Bigfoot tour.
So I mapped out the route.
It was me and my wife and my son, Maximus.
It was, you know, we were going to go through all the Bigfoot, Washington, Oregon, California,
and then drive back up the, all the way back to Seattle.
You know, we went from Seattle, Mount Rainier, Mount Rainier to,
to Boring, Oregon.
And we went to the National Bigfoot Museum there.
It was amazing.
Then from there, we went to Happy Camp.
Camp, then from Happy Camp we went to Willow Creek and then cut through Route 199 Grants Pass over to then from there we just went back up the coast.
So we along the way, you know, he hit the door and you know the whole way my son was saying, oh, I just saw Bigfoot.
I just saw you know. So it was kind of a running joke about seeing Bigfoot. So it was the fourth, third day. Yeah, third day of traveling. We were leaving Willow Creek and going to.
We were going to the Redwood National Forests, and I believe it was, whatever it was, it was in the Redwood National.
Leaving we would, the Bigfoot Steakhouse, Willow Creek, it was pretty funny.
But, you know, so the whole time going, you know, my son's like, oh, we think we'll see Bigfoot, think we'll see Bigfoot.
You know, I never thought, I, you know, I was just making an entertaining for my, you know, for my son along the way.
So, but it was crazy because as we're leaving, so.
It's about 2.30 on the third and the road that goes to from Little Creek to, you know,
it's one of those windy roads, cuts through. The whole ride was along a river mostly and then it cut
through the forest again. So it was a one lane, two lane highway, one on each side, which, you know,
bending and there was some places to turn around, you know, to send the other thing. And we were
in a Class C motor home. It was about 26 foot. They kind of sway here and there where you're driving.
So we're driving, done sleeping, unfortunately.
My wife's in the front seat.
And thank God if my wife wasn't in the front seat, I would have just, I would have just
unlike.
I kind of, it was a turn.
The only reason I know this is fast, then there was a culvert.
And then it was a hill that went, got 90 degrees straight out for about 20 yards.
But it was all blueberry bushes and berry bushes.
About quarter mile down the road before that, people were actually.
picking them. So kind of go a little on the shoulder. And as I did, something I've ever seen,
but my wife looked at me, she goes, what was that? And I was like, you saw that, right? About
about the yards up, there was a little turnaround. So I pulled up there. But what I saw, what we saw
was, and how I can explain it is all those football drills where like two players are laying on
the back. The coach blows the whistle. They turn, you know, get up, you know, push themselves up
into a, you know, running position and run and hit each other.
So that's what I saw.
I saw something get up, turn over, and legitimately run up the hill.
And it wasn't like, you know, I'm like, oh, it could be a bear or a deer.
It wasn't on four legs.
It didn't, like, have the gate of, like, if a bear is running, you know, kind of like motion.
Like, you know, it looked like it was on an escalator smoothly going up.
But I mean, faster than I've ever seen anything.
And it was a good 20 yards straight up.
And then there was a tree line.
And my wife looked to me, I go, what did you just see?
She goes, I saw something big in black shoot, like fly up that thing.
So I said, I'm like, well, I'm going to pull over.
She's like, don't, you can't pull over.
Don't pull over.
I'm like, I'm pulling over.
I'm like, I'm not going to miss this.
You know, I'm pulling over.
I just want to see if left anything.
So I pull over up the road.
I run down.
to where it was and I stood where behind the grass and the culver was like a little, you know,
the culvert to the rain that, you know, for the rain, it's like kind of a kind of a U shape or run down.
I stood in that, 3, 2.30, whatever got up, it was, you know, on me easily and way bigger.
As I looked, I saw, you know, there was a definitely, like, you could see where it went up and then
where it broke through the, like it was full bushes and it was like a open,
in the bushes that, you know, it looked like a bull ran through.
So I'm sitting there.
I'll get up the hill.
So I try, you know, almost straight out.
It couldn't have been a bit up.
I started stand up.
My wife started to stand up.
Crawl up a little bit.
I just got something and it wasn't, it wasn't a voice in my head, but something just told me,
it was too much high for me to see, but there was a little bit of movement.
Like you could see, like some of the smaller trees moving a little bit.
I, uh, I just put, you know, what?
Wife's like, well, did you see?
What did you see?
I can't believe you get out.
What did you see?
I'm like, I don't know.
I go, I don't know.
I just know that.
Let's just go.
I'm like, what did I see?
I mean, she would be like, you know, it was a bird.
It was just.
And she's like, listen, uh, yeah, I definitely, you know, I, she can't explain it.
I can't explain it.
It was definitely by beetle.
It didn't, it didn't run up at all for us.
It, just so smooth going up.
and I think what I think it might have been like eating the blueberries or or you know
I swerved a little and I was only on 15 miles an hour you know a good amount of it go up
because yeah so you know my son's pissed because I didn't wake him you know we're going to
go you know looking for big foot that it would ever ever happen and something happened I
can't explain what it was I know it wasn't a deer I know it wasn't like a back the back
was massive.
Degree Hillford for a good
20 yards and then into the, you know,
and then break into the, you know, so I didn't get a
sighting of, you know, what, a
face or anything like that. I got back.
A big brown, you know,
I just know, if it was a beer, it was the biggest
grizzly. I'm not sure if they had grizzly bears out there.
But it just didn't. There was no gait.
There was no bounce. It was smooth. It stood
up. It jumped up and
took off. And then, like I said,
when I get out there, I'm like, just,
like something was saying, you know, go away.
Just go away.
Go away.
You saw, you saw go away.
Anyone sense telling me that.
But something was telling me that.
And still to this day, I just keep wondering what, you know, did I?
Yeah, I don't think that you saw a grizzly bear.
Grizzly bears don't get up and take off running like a man.
I wanted to ask you about the go away thing.
Do you think that was just your gut telling you to go away?
It was more of them, like, in my head, not in my gut.
You know, my gut told me to get out.
Like, my gut was like, like, if I had that gut instinct, I wouldn't have got out of the car.
Like, you go to the car.
And then all of a sudden I get there.
And as I had to see how far it could get, it was like, go away, go away.
Just go away now.
You saw what you saw.
Go away.
And it wasn't my, I didn't get a sick feeling in my stomach.
It was like something in my head that said it.
Yeah, the other thing I want to ask you is, as you guys are coming, you know,
as you're coming around the corner and you see it,
how far away from you is a creature as you first approach?
Three probably.
So there was the shoulder, right?
The shoulder of the road.
Then there was probably like three feet, then the tall grass.
So I kind of swayed into, it was like almost a wide turn.
And as I did, I swayed into like towards the grass.
I wasn't touching grass, probably a foot away.
But then it was probably about three to four feet.
feet of grass, then the culvert was another, probably it was like two and a half feet wide or three feet wide.
And that's where I think it was.
The blueberry bushes, there wasn't a space and then it shot through them.
So it opened up a space in the blueberry bushes.
And you could see there was no real trail of the only, the only trail of like a breaking in was more bushes at the top and then the forest.
So the land was just like, you know, burnt grass and stuff.
But it was definitely something that went through it and a pretty wide opening.
And then, like I said, I looked up and I couldn't, from down below, I couldn't like obviously see,
but I saw movement with trees, like moving a little bit.
Yeah, what I meant is how far away from the RV was a creature at the point it stood up and took off?
Two feet from, we said we were going around the corner, so I was only going like 15 miles an hour.
So it was legit.
My wife was right next to it.
That's what, she wouldn't.
So right before we got to it, it got up.
So as we were approaching, it got up.
And during the whole thing, it probably, from the front of the RV to like, the passenger window, that's what we saw the whole thing go.
RV was about two feet from the grass when the grass is three, so probably like six feet.
But it was, I mean, it was big.
It was like, you know, my friends were.
go, you see Bigfoot. I'm like, well, funny story. I'm not going to lie. You know, I saw something.
If my wife didn't see it also, because if I had said it, she'd be like, oh, bullshit,
because my son the whole time must have, he must have 27 Bigfoot sightings. You know, I see movement.
I see movement, you know. But it definitely got up and shot, and like I said, shot up, but
the way it moved, it was amazing. It's like going up an escalator, but super fast. It's just
smooth. It looked smooth. Like just
like it was on ice,
you know, going up. Like
no like, like,
like, you know, if you run your arms
go forward, no, nothing was just smooth.
Yeah. And I know this is a very
recent encounter and I know you're still
excited and shocked by it. And
who wouldn't be really? I mean,
you're seeing this saying. And I know your son
is into Bigfoot. I wanted
to ask you prior to the sighting,
what were kind of your feelings about the whole?
topic.
Oh, I've always been into Bigfoot.
I got him into it.
I just, you know, I, I just, everyone thinks I'm crazy.
I'm like, no, they exist.
You know, I don't, you know, I, you know, it's a type of, I believe it's just a type of
homeridate ape that, but I've always been, you know, I, I watch all the, you know,
I do, I watch the shows.
I never thought in a million years.
I never, like, too, like, I've, I've watched your, you know, episodes.
I've seen your episodes.
on the TV show.
Like, just, I never in a million years would have thought that it would happen, ever, and something
happened.
Yeah, it's never when you're looking for them.
It seems like almost every encounter is very unexpected and people who aren't expecting
to see anything.
And the movement that you saw that day, I've heard many times from eyewitnesses.
What's weird to me is they seem to do the roadside crossings a lot or they seem to hang out
on the side of roads a lot.
And it's odd for me, you know, for something it's so elusive,
why is it hanging out on the side of the road?
Or, you know, when they cross a road,
they'll tend to cross right in front of a car.
Strange.
It was 2.30 in the afternoon.
It was daylight, you know?
I mean, the road, it wasn't a, you know,
there wasn't anything in front of me or behind me,
because when I pulled over, like,
the whole time that I pulled over and to get out to look,
no other cars went by.
Yeah, I just, I can't explain it.
You just can't.
I still every night.
I like go to Ben and like, what?
Sorry.
Excuse me.
But what the heck?
Like, what was it?
What was it?
And we wouldn't, you know, and like I said, we went out there with the, with the thought of my son.
Like, he wanted to, he wanted to pick a big foot up and bring it home with us in the motorhome.
You know, that was this whole thing.
And he was, like, I had to tell him that we might have saw something.
And he was pissed.
He was bullshit.
Excuse me, but he was so mad that he didn't see.
it, you know what I mean?
I even was like to my wife, I'm like, I'm going to wake Max up.
She's like, no, you're not.
You want to do this?
You go alone, you want to look, go ahead.
But it's still, something still stayed there.
Like, by the time I pulled up, it was probably about, you know, 30, 40, 40 yards at the road
where there's like a turnaround for, you know, cars and stuff.
And by the time I went back, it was probably five minutes.
And it was something still up there.
I mean, definitely still up there.
what makes you think it was still up there Mike
because I could feel like it was like you know
when someone's like watching you
that you can't see them but you know something's like looking at you
and then where where the trees where there was
it was thick forest but there was also smaller
smaller trees and there was moving in the trees
like of the branches of the trees
where I couldn't see anything else I just could see the branches
you know and it was movement and that's when I said like
like a little swaying.
It wasn't windy at all.
They were moving a little bit.
And that's like when I said,
I get that overwhelming to this guy.
It was,
I said to myself in my mind,
okay, Mike,
you know,
whatever it was,
it said,
okay,
you saw it,
move on.
That's enough now.
Go away.
Yeah,
let me ask you,
Mike.
You had mentioned that you think
that they're apes or a primate.
And this weird thing about,
you know,
you feeling like,
go away.
The moment you get there,
what do you make of that feeling that ever came you?
Well, I think they're at higher, I don't think it's just apes.
I think it's a higher level of, I think they have just, they're just an elevated,
you know, something in evolution that we don't know about where they possess certain things
that we can't understand.
I don't think it's just like an ape, you see it at the, you know, at the zoo.
It's, it's, I think it's thinking, like, I think it has different, something different on the evolutionary scale that has the, it has the ability to like, mind speak or whatever, but it just, it's just something, it, like I said, I didn't get a sick feeling. I didn't get any of that. My son, it's just that, and it could have been my own strange how, you know, said, you know, in my mind, I was like, you saw what you saw. My wife's like, I came back to the mona home and I was white. She's like, what did. She's like, what do you? She's like, what
you see, I said, I just saw it, like, moving in the trees, but I said, but, you know,
something came over me where it just said, go away, walk away.
Yeah, I think all of us have a, you know, have a gut instinct that says, you know, go away.
This is a bad situation.
And, but a lot of eyewitnesses kind of describe what you're describing, Mike, which is
something very different than that internal clock of, okay, let's get out of here.
This is a bad situation.
I wanted to ask you, you know, when it spun around and it stood up and it took off running,
and I realized all of this is happening very, very quickly, but how tall do you think the creature was?
When it stood, like you could see the back, I could see the legs.
Like I said, all I saw was the two legs, like the back and I would assume was the butt.
And when I stood in the culvert where that's 3, 2.30, it was up to like all,
almost my, like, so if I stood behind, so if, to my back, it would have been to my shoulder blades.
When it, when it stood up, it was like at the top of his hamstrings, whatever, it's hamstrings.
But it was, the width of it was, my TV right now is a 75 inch TV.
It was the, like, the shoulders, I mean, the whole back was, but it looked like a.
And I know from talking to you, your wife is pretty skeptical, or she used to be in.
way. How does she feel about the whole thing and what she saw?
She don't think she wants to believe that she saw her, but she does.
She can't deny it. She even said to her, like, she's like, I can't deny it. I saw
something. She's like, I saw something huge and brown, like, it was, it was, it was like dark, brown,
black, you know, get out, you know, because when it happened, thank God we going slow enough.
I was going fast. I was driven right by it. But I had just,
gone through, I don't know if you haven't been through Grants Pass, that 199, that
frigging death highway that goes through the Klamath Mountains.
You know, with two lanes, five, you know, four thousand feet up, thousand, the 500 to a thousand
foot straight down, I was white knuckling the whole time.
So this road, I was like, oh, I'm going slow on this.
And, and how it happened, you know, I didn't, I didn't slam up to that we both look.
I looked, she looked, she looked at me.
I looked at it like, again, she looked back.
And we both looked up to where, you know, and she's like, I go, you saw that?
Did you see?
She goes, I go, you saw that, right?
What do you see?
Like, did you, like, it was homes and you're in shock.
I'm like, I can't believe what we just saw.
She goes, something huge and black stand up the hill.
But so fast, like, if it was doing like at 40, it was probably 2.4 seconds to a
for, you know, she's like, you think it was a bear?
I go, well, did it.
And she said the same thing that it didn't like, it didn't hop or bounce.
It just went, it, it, it, it can't explain, I can't explain how it went up.
Like, all I can say is like, if, you know, when you're on escalate, how smooth that is.
I wouldn't even think about the fact that she's like the most, like, she'll turn me
and if I do something wrong.
So she's so strict by the book for her to go, yeah, I definitely.
I definitely saw some.
Yeah, I wanted to ask a question about your theory, Mike.
And, you know, I don't buy into the evolution theory.
It's not a fact.
It's actually a theory.
You know, some people might say I don't have a clear understanding of the evolutionary theory.
And, you know, that might be accurate.
I do believe in adaptation, though.
I think that adaptation is something that's proven through science.
And with regard to these creatures, do you think that they're natural?
Like, I go over this a lot.
Like, could they be like you see all, like, from there on hieroglyphics from way back,
could this be an alien race that Kate?
Like, I don't even know what's going on.
Like, every day, especially with all the things with aliens going on now and spaceships,
could this be like a race of it could, you know, it's a race of an alien to put here and they
lasted or smoking.
I don't think they're interdimensional.
Like, if it gets to that point, then, I mean, wouldn't they just pop out here and there
whatever they wanted in, like towns and things like that?
But I just can't, they can't pinpoint what they, you know, they definitely have the
ability, I think, to, I mean, why haven't we caught one?
Like, why?
And that's the thing that goes over in my mind.
Like, why?
And if we did catch one, where would we, couldn't keep it in captivity?
Like, there's so many questions that isn't an alien species.
I'm not saying it's an alien.
Is it something that was here way before us that still lasted all these years?
But I don't think it has different things.
Oh, it's alien, but I'm like, I don't know what it is.
I don't know what it is.
I know it's something that is bipedal and big.
I mean, it has the ability, the size of it to kill anything in its path, I would think.
I just don't know me. I just don't know. That's like the question that bothers me every night.
I just wish that we could find out exactly what it is. I have a lot of questions that, you know, like, what's it doing on the side of the road right there?
Did it, you know, just get caught up, you know, oops, they're caught in the middle of the day.
Did it eat too many blueberries and fall asleep?
It does make you wonder what I was doing. I kind of think it might have been sleeping. I mean, that's just my,
opinion. And I think as you came around the corner, I think you startled it. Obviously,
it got up and took off. And the way you describe it getting up is exactly how other eyewitnesses
have reported them getting up on two legs and taking off running. And I'm like you, Mike,
I got a million questions too. I get it. I think after you've seen one, you know,
you have a million and one questions about these things. And hopefully one day we'll have answers for it.
You know, I really appreciate you taking the time to come on and share it.
I know it was a very recent encounter.
This happened back on August 3rd, but I really appreciate you coming on, man.
Oh, thank you very much.
And next up on the show, I want to welcome Ronan.
Ronan, thanks for coming on.
Thank you.
Yeah, and I know you just graduated high school, and your encounter happened back when you were nine.
You and your little brother saw it out there in Michigan.
if you would kind of take me back to that moment.
What were you guys doing and what happened?
It was the middle of summer and my birthday's June 3rd.
And I got a bunch of stuff, but I also got hatchets.
My dad got me and my brother hatchets because we'd always follow them out in the woods
and cut down trees with them and you just decided to get me and my brother hatchet.
And so we were walking down this trail, you know, hatching in a way.
And man, it was like these little trees.
They were all so green, so they were fresh.
my brother all of a sudden just has a scream and it just sounds like pure pain and when I turn back around
I look at him first but I look to the right and down the trail which mind you this is like only 50 yards
from my house and I look up this hill I mean this creature is standing there and he's only about
six foot but he had no neck his head was really close to his shoulders and he had pretty decently
wide shoulders, but he was also skinny.
You know, he kind of had like a really fit body, but it wasn't as, it wasn't bulky.
It was just like he was supposed to have that body.
When I looked at him and it's like, and I only saw him for two seconds, but the two seconds that I saw him,
he kind of cocked his head.
I saw him cocked his head like he was weirded out by us.
And like I saw his eyebrows kind of scrunched down.
And the best way I can explain it, I thought about it.
And the best way to explain it.
is like, let's say you walk in the back of a Walmart and at some place you're not supposed to be and someone's like, what are you doing here?
You know, and that's kind of the impression I have now.
But at the time, I didn't know what it was.
I just thought it was a monster.
So I start running and I look back once and he's running to the right.
And I thought he was going to cut us off.
So I was, I'm freaking out.
Me and my brother are running and screaming.
He had a massive head start.
and it's just kind of it's running through the woods just flew in and it has its hands down by its side
and it was just it was so eerie and creepy and i i don't it hurt me because i hated going in the woods
after that at least on that property i got over it and i started to overcome it but it was just it was a
very it humbled me it definitely humbled me to know that there's something else
in there and it makes me seem kind of arrogant that I was the highest person in there.
I could just go through the woods, tapping trees down.
But I thought it was a monster, but at the same time, I thought it was my neighbor.
And I thought it was my neighbor when I got back to the house because I didn't want to say
it was a monster.
So I just told him it was a neighbor.
And my dad got mad at the neighbor or something.
He didn't go over there, but he always had this chip on the shoulder for the neighbor.
And neighbor wasn't too nice to us.
but when I saw Wally a few days later after that incident,
I remember that he was, he's short and stubby.
He is nowhere near what that was.
I mean, it's the middle of summer.
I can remember hair and I can remember like,
like what I thought was clothing.
But the more I think about who is wearing sick, furry clothing
in the middle of summer just to pull a prank on kids, you know.
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.
And I know you were pretty young when this happened.
You're nine and your little brother is seven.
One question I want to ask you, you know, you'd mention the hatchets.
Were you guys hitting trees right before this creature showed up?
Yes, we were hacking away for a while.
We were hacking away for a while.
And yeah, we did hear, we heard what we thought was tree hitting and stuff.
And so we were weird about it, but our neighbor, we had butts up right now.
to our neighbor's property.
So we thought it was,
his name was Wally.
We thought it was Wally.
And,
like,
all right,
well,
it was just Wally up there,
but it wasn't.
Yeah,
and I know from reading your email,
Ronan,
you guys,
you really didn't get a lot of,
uh,
details when it comes to the face.
Was it mainly covered in hair?
It was mainly hair.
And when I remember it,
I wonder if its eyes were just black,
because I know that it was,
jet black. Like it was, it was, it was, it was a shadow. Like, it was just a shadow was so black,
but I can, I remember hair, I remember seeing hair hanging off of it. And, um, it, yeah,
it was just all jet black. There wasn't no texture or any, I mean, there was, there was
texture, but there wasn't any, like, different colors missing. It was just solid black. So I,
I, I remember seeing the eyebrows, like scrunch over when he cocked his head, but I don't
remember seeing his mouth or his nose or his eyes.
You know, it's reported a lot, Ronan, that these creatures do this wood knocking thing.
And I don't know if it's for communication or what.
And that's kind of the reason why I asked you about the hatchets and you guys hitting trees and hitting bushes.
And it makes me wonder if it thought you guys were something else.
And it wasn't expecting you guys.
It was expecting maybe one of its own.
and I think if it was going to hurt you, it would have, but it didn't.
What do you think was going on, Ronan?
You were there.
What's kind of your opinion on why it showed up?
Looking back at it, it was definitely a thought to me that I think it was just confused
that it wasn't something of his, you know, it wasn't something he's known.
But he had to have known what we looked like because the part I lived in, it was probably
only 50 acres of woods that separated us from like another suburban on the other side.
But there was stateland right to the right after a few properties.
There's a big chunk of state land and it's massive if you're in Midland.
It's a big piece of state land that everyone in Midland County hunts that and we were right
next to it.
So I wonder if it was from there or why it was over here.
That's the most I can take from it is why I, why it was it so.
confused like it's never seen a human before.
If that's why, if it was confused,
yeah, that's really all I got from that.
And I know this question might be hard to answer because, I mean,
you're nine years old at the time, but around your property,
had you guys ever heard any strange vocalizations that you couldn't
place with a known animal?
No, we haven't.
There could have been, and we just didn't.
didn't know.
Yeah, I hear you.
I thought I would ask anyway.
But, you know, sometimes especially little kids, don't pay attention to that sort of thing, you know.
Makes me wonder if anyone else in the family had heard anything odd out there.
The other thing I want to chat with you about, you'd mentioned prior to us coming on the air that you were paced out of an area.
How much later did this happen?
And if you would, just kind of walk me into what happened?
Okay, so me and my uncle went hunting in the Ross Common Area of Holtan Lake.
We were hunting these power lines, and we were walking the power lines and looking for places to put your stands up.
And I chose to go, I kind of was a schmock and butted up next to this guy's private field.
We never saw anything, and it was like the third day of us hunting there.
I was walking, so I walked through the power lines and I turned left into the field and I'm walking along the field.
And I called my mom checkup on her and hang up the phone.
And as soon as I hung up the phone, like I heard like an extra step because I stopped to hang up the phone and check where I was.
And I heard an extra step.
And I kind of like, well, I was, I was petrified for a second.
I really was.
and maybe it was maybe it was me it could have been me just hearing things or it's it's on state land it's in the wild ice so it could have been anything else but it just seemed really heavy and so i kept walking and there's only like 50 yards between me and my stand and i it's getting loud and it's really loud it's just thump thump thump and it's like one beat after my footstep
it's not matching up at all.
So I start to get freaked out.
And I forgot to mention this when you called me.
But the reason I started running is because I heard it go,
and it was pretty chilly.
It was a pretty chilly day.
And while it was walking, and I stopped, like,
this is my second time stopping.
I stopped and I heard a, like it was sniffling.
And that's not, I thought it was a person at the time.
I thought it was a person.
So I start running from my stand.
And it's walking.
It's not running towards me.
It's just kind of walking.
It was almost effortless.
I was just freaking out and I put my bow down.
I had a clip for my bow so I quickly clipped it to my rope and I run up my tree stand.
And I'm sitting in the tree stand and I hear it kind of like and like stop.
I was just sitting there petrified.
I turned my light off, put my phone away and I just sat.
at there almost crying.
And I mean, I was 16 at the time.
I was just so scared.
And the sun starts to come up.
I don't see it.
And it never moved.
I never heard it move.
But when I looked where I heard it, I'd never seen it.
Yeah, a lot of people call this pacing you out.
Any other animal on the planet is not going to walk in a parallel position with you,
walking you out.
did it follow you all the way back to your tree stand?
Just the halfway.
Just because once I get off the power lines,
it was a good quarter mile hike through the woods.
And I was I was hiking for a while until I got off the phone with my mom
and I was only 60 yards away from my stand.
And then it started.
Oh, I understand what you mean.
The sniffling noise that you heard was that like in the bushes in front of your tree stand?
No, it was in the field
I was, I could, if I shine my light, I could see out to the field
I was, I was in really thick stuff, so I was in these little immature trees
and I was walking through it.
And I could hear, so I didn't hear any leaves, so I knew it was in the field,
and it was to my right, so, yeah, it was in the field the whole time.
And Ronan, how far away from your home is this place where you and your uncle are hunting
Well, I live in Migland, so it's about an hour drive, hour and a half drive to Houghton Lake.
But where I had the encounter with it face-to-face is only like a 10-minute drive from where I live.
I still live in the Migland area.
Do you tell your uncle about what happened?
That's the thing.
This one took a toll on me, hunting-wise.
And I, when I told him about my face-to-face encounter at my.
house. He didn't he doesn't live that far from where he used to live and I told him about
this and he you know he laughed at me. I I can't blame him, you know, it's it's something you
don't even think of, you know, it's it's it's so fantasized and it's so pretty much legendary
just to think about, you know, and he never believed me. He always told me why I have to see it
to believe it. And I can't get it through to him. And I told my dad, and he just kind of laughs it off.
And yeah, a lot of my friends do that. So when I told my uncle about that, he laughed at me.
So I never told him about the Holton Lake incident. And, um, but I, it's like I had to tell people
some part of it to feel relieved. Like I'd tell them that I was followed by coyotes to my stand,
just to feel like some relief that I'm telling someone.
But it just never did any good.
And it's really sad.
You know, I have to lie just to have some sort of relief.
Yeah, shame on your uncle.
If I had little nephews, you know, nine and seven,
and they're describing seeing something very strange,
you think you'd stop and listen,
especially, you know, being an outdoorsman.
I'm sorry to hear about that.
You know, to this day, what does your little brother think?
about what you guys saw that day?
He just doesn't want to talk about it.
And we talked about it one time.
We've talked about it multiple times.
In front of my friends,
the last time was at my graduation party here earlier this year.
And me and Man, we're serious.
We saw something.
We saw Bigfoot, man.
I don't know what else it could have been.
And my buddy is like, well, I think you're full of crap.
And the only thing I could tell him was, well, I don't blame you, you know.
I don't blame you.
I get it.
Yeah, I can understand where your little brother is coming from.
I mean, if people are calling you guys liars and goofing on you,
I can understand why he doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
It's too bad that it's like that.
You know, I know you just graduated high school.
Congratulations on getting done with high school.
And, you know, with school, I think the biggest thing I took away
is the same jerks you're going to deal with in high school,
is the same jerks you're going to deal with in life.
And it's too bad it's like that.
I ask everyone on the show,
what do you think Sasquatch is?
And there's no wrong answer.
I'm very curious on your opinion.
What do you think that these creatures are?
I think they're just a creature.
I think they're just like an animal.
I think there's some sort of,
I don't want to say like North American 8,
but like I just feel like they're covered.
up so much to the point where people just think they're a myth, you know?
Like, you'll hear people about shooting them and then they either go missing because they're
drug off or government comes by and does something suspicious, you know.
I just feel like it's covered up so much, but why it's covered up, I don't know.
And I've heard, I've heard of people talking about orbs and stuff.
And I was listening to one of your shows.
It was with these two scientists.
or professors maybe and they were talking and they were saying something about correlation with
orbs to bigfoot and they said something that clicked and it was like how bigfoot have they've
been reported with blue eyes or yellow eyes or red eyes you know or amber eyes and stuff and
it got me wondering like well the orbs too come in different colors you know they come in blue
and yellow and red and amber.
I wonder if that has any correlation.
I don't want to sound crazy.
But just if anyone has had that thought to know that I'm thinking the same thing,
a type of possession thing or something with that.
Yeah, that's a pretty interesting take on the balls of light.
And I've seen the balls of light.
I don't know what they are.
But you're right.
People do report them coming in as blue, yellow,
red, which is weird because when people describe seeing more than eyes shine, they'll describe
the eyes glowing.
Those also come in different colors.
You know, red, blue, yellow.
I've asked many hunters, you sure was an eye shine and they're adamant.
Those eyes were glowing.
That's very interesting that you kind of, you know, and who knows if that's correct
or not, but I like your critical thinking there.
When you say possession, do you mean demonic possession?
Yeah, I'm religious, so I'd say demonic possession.
I'd say there'd be some correlation there.
Yeah, and you could be onto something, Ronan.
I think that's a fair answer.
And there is a lot of weird things that happen in Bigfoot encounters
that also happen in poltergeist or demonic encounters,
that also happen in alien encounters.
Mindspeak is one of them. You hear people who claim to either been abducted or interact with aliens, and they'll talk about mindspeak, how they communicate back and forth, or another one in a lot of demonic encounters.
You'll hear where people will say, I heard people talking, but I couldn't make out what they were saying, or banging on houses.
or, I mean, the list goes down to where you could really correlate a lot of these strange reports that come from eyewitnesses, you know, glowing eyes, glowing red eyes.
That's another thing you'll hear in a lot of demonic encounters.
And, I mean, you could be onto something, man.
I think when you look across the board, you know, from one genre to the next, you'll see a lot of weird similarities, which if it was nothing more than a primate, we haven't caught up, why are these weird things being.
reported, definitely makes you wonder. I want to ask you, you know, if you had the chance,
would you want to see another one?
Yeah. Yeah, I think I would just get, because I'm a guy I have to know. And even though I do
know, I had the encounter and I know, but I just, I'm really curious and I just want,
I just want to know a little bit more. And that little bit more could get me in trouble with
one maybe. But, you know, I, I think I would.
And I was told by my body is okay.
This is another thing I forgot to mention.
I was told by my buddies one time, not one time, a month ago.
And they went fishing under this bridge.
And we always go to this bridge.
This is in the same county, McGlin County.
And it's next to the Chippewa Nature Center.
It's a big animal sanctuary pretty much.
And they were fishing next to this for carp and stuff.
and they get up and pitch black out,
they're getting up to their cars
and my buddy brought his vehicle,
my other buddy brought his vehicle.
He's walking towards his vehicle
and he says there's these red eyes
and he's like they're like eight feet up
and it was just like in the trees.
And I know the place.
There's no massive trees, you know,
and I didn't know what to think of it at the time
and he was like, yeah,
they were like swirred,
and he just kept telling me they were swirling.
My other friend says, oh, yeah, it was a bear.
And I tell him, like, well, what's the chance of the bear is eight feet off in an immature tree with red swirling hats?
It started clicking with me.
Like, I don't think you saw a bear, but he just, he doesn't want to look crazy, you know, and I didn't want to look crazy.
So I didn't tell him.
I didn't tell him, you know, you saw Bigford, you saw this or that.
I didn't want to, you know, push it on him or anything.
He just kept saying, he just kept swirling.
When he said the eyes were swirling, what did he mean by that?
He mean, like, both of them were, like, swirling in place.
Like, they were in, he said there wasn't a face, but he just saw the red eyes from a distance,
and they were, like, swirling inside.
Well, let's say it was, like, in a socket.
It was swirling inside the socket.
Yeah, that's very strange. And I don't have to explain, I shine to you. And your friends should know I shine, especially being out there hunting. And it's very strange. And I really appreciate you coming on, Ronan, and sharing what happened to you. I know you were nervous about coming on. But like I told you, I only waterboard Bigfoot experts. I try and get along with everyone else.
but thanks so much for taking the time to come on broan and i really enjoyed chatting with you man
thanks man it's just it's it's a lot you know and it's when i hunt now i i can't really
enjoy it as much as i want to i'm always worrying more than i'm having fun but and i have
i love hunting and i have so much fun doing it but there's always this little thing in the back
of my mind like what what happens if this happens you know so it just it hurts but
I hope with time it helps.
And I'm glad I got to talk to you.
Really am.
Thank you.
Thanks again, Ronan.
