It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind
and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up
and that shocked me.
They don't make people that big.
The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forward.
I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears.
What are you reporting?
Get somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That's son of a bitch is about six years.
about six foot nine, I don't know.
Do you see a male, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right here.
Hi, this is John Cameron from Western Maryland, home of the Snarly Yowl, and you're listening
to Sasquatch Crockincoast.
Welcome to the show, everyone.
Thanks for being here tonight.
Got a great show plan for you.
We'll be chatting with Kara, and Kara comes to us from West Virginia, and just two weeks ago,
she ran into this very strange canine.
She was heading up to the store and thought she saw a dog until it stood up on two legs and took off running.
Very fascinating account.
And then we'll wrap up with Tony Merkel from the Confessionals.
He's got his new film out, The Shape of Shadows.
If you go to Merkel.media, you can watch it.
It's a pretty cool film.
There's a lot of weird things that those guys captured when they were out there in Utah.
Everything from UFOs to what appeared to be like ritual circles they came across, weird footprints.
It's a weird film.
But I enjoyed watching it for sure.
And there's a lot of strange stuff out there in Utah.
I know Tony has a new movie coming out and it's a Bigfoot film.
And he was gracious enough to invite me to come in and be a part of it.
And a few months ago, I had Tony Merkel on.
He was talking about this Bigfoot film he has coming out along with Shape of Shadows.
But while we were filming my portion of the movie he's doing, we came across this missing person.
And it's a strange story.
And everyone keeps asking me for updates on this missing man.
And I kind of turn the reins over to Tony.
But he'll be giving us an update on this missing man.
If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show.
shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at
Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check
out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member
and get additional shows. Let's jump into it tonight.
I want to welcome Kara to the show. Kara, thanks for coming on.
Thank you for having me. Yeah, and you had this
very recent encounter about two weeks ago out there in West Virginia
we ran into this canine-like creature.
If you would kind of start from the beginning,
what were you doing and what happened?
Okay, so my brother asked me to go to Sheets,
which is maybe five minutes away from my apartment,
and this was midnight,
and it wasn't raining or anything.
It was like a normal, warm summer evening.
I drove my brother's car down to Sheets,
hold in to the back part of the place.
And as I was getting closer to where the drive-through section of sheets is,
I saw a large black from what I thought it was was a large dog.
And as I got closer to it, it started to not look like a dog.
It started to look more like a bear by how much fur and the way that his body was and everything.
So I thought it was just like a kind of like a not a baby bear and not an adult-sized bear,
but like an in-between.
like I would say a teenage bear in a way.
But then I got closer and I pulled into the parking spot
and I just looked at it.
And it looked at me, got up on its hind legs,
put its paws, just like let his paws hang down,
kind of like a dog begging for food.
And I wear glasses.
So I was like kind of squinting in my glasses to like really think
and like capture and actually pull.
process what it is that I was looking at.
Because I've never seen anything like that before.
It had long, brown, I think it was brown or black hair that was maybe four inches long.
Its face kind of reminds you of a dog, but at a different way, kind of not.
Its eyes had a reflection to it, but it wasn't yellow or anything like that.
It was white.
and it just looked in my direction.
And then it got up on its hind legs and looked my direction.
And once it looked at me, that's when I started getting scared, even more.
Because I was thinking, what if this thing comes at me?
What do I do?
Locking a car door isn't going to do anything.
Getting out of the car and then running isn't going to do anything.
Because usually whenever something's running, they're going to chase after you.
So I just sat in the car for maybe five minutes, it seemed like, but it might have been longer.
I was just staring at it.
It was freaking me out, not knowing what it was that I was looking at because I've never seen anything like that before.
I started shaking, and I started feeling, like, scared and dread at the same time and worried,
not knowing how I'm going to defend myself because I only have keys in my hand.
And that's not going to do anything.
So I was worried.
And then one of the things that freaks me out is it got up on two feet.
I've never seen an animal.
Get up on two feet and run.
That's when I started actually panicking.
And I just, I was terrified.
I was shaking.
I was by myself.
So I was terrified.
I didn't know what to do.
I didn't know what I was looking at.
I just didn't have any words.
I was speechless.
And I just watched it run into the woods.
And I just sat in the car to see if it was going to be like anywhere else around me.
If it moved fast to where I couldn't see where it went, if it was like, I was thinking of a horror movie.
Like, if I look out the window and it's standing right there and I don't know about it or if it's behind the car, you know, you never know where those things are, I guess.
I wanted to ask you, Kara, could you describe for us what their creature look like and how far away from you is it while you're in your car?
I would say maybe, maybe like two car lengths.
Oh, so it's really close.
Yeah, that's what scared me because I didn't know what it was.
And there was nobody around because usually whenever there's a dog outside, usually the owner is someone.
somewhere around there. The eyes really stood out to me because I've never seen anything that
had a reflection that was pure white. I have two cats, and when I see their eyes at night,
it's like yellow, like translucent kind of, like yellow and like there's no white about their
eyes. But that one's eyes, and my headlights on my brother's car were out at first.
and then when I pulled into the parking spot
the lights were on
and then I turned them off
and then they were still glowing
and I've never seen anything like that
so I was making eye contact with it
its ears were poiny
a little bit of fur on them for what I could see
paws were kind of like
a large dog paw
but at the same time I couldn't really tell
because it was dark and it was just a black
whatever it was.
I don't even tell you how big it was
because maybe when it got up on its hind legs
it was probably
definitely bigger than me.
I'm 5.30.
I mean, 5'2.
It was definitely bigger than me for sure.
If ears were pointy and small,
its nose wasn't like
long like some dog breeds are.
It was like a small snout type thing.
It didn't open its mouth or anything,
but it just had his mouth closed.
it was just so weird with long, dark, brown or black hair.
It was just really, really, really weird.
It didn't have that much of a tail that I could see because when it took off into the woods,
I couldn't really see it.
So it stands off like a man.
When it took off running, did it remind you of a man running?
Yes.
Yes, it definitely did.
It reminded me of like, I don't know how to describe it without,
sounding ridiculous.
You know how animals have their,
they don't have knees like we do.
Our knees bend forward.
Animals don't have that.
I mean, I guess some do.
I don't know.
But its knees weren't bent like mine,
I would say.
Like it was muscular,
but at the same time,
it was skinny.
I can see it in my head right now.
And it's given me goosebumps
just thinking about it.
when you say it doesn't have knees like we do, would you kind of describe that?
And I'm very curious about its movement, especially up on two legs.
What was weird about its movement?
How fast it was.
I've never seen something move that fast.
It was like I was looking at it and then a second later it was gone.
And an animal, like a normal dog or a cat, it wouldn't run that fast.
I've never seen something get up so quickly.
and won that fast.
His knees were kind of like, definitely not like we had kneecaps and stuff like that.
It wasn't like that.
It was like a dog leg, but when it stood up on its hind leg, it kind of had, well, on its legs,
it kind of had, I don't know how to describe it, like it had poles and they were very large.
But then it had that little, what is it the dogs have on their hind leg that's like a little bit above their foot behind?
them as like a heel, like a nail or something.
Yeah.
It had something like that, but it was a lot longer than a dog.
You know, sometimes when people see Sasquatch, they'll describe seeing eyes shine,
and other people will describe, they'll say those eyes were glowing.
And I know sometimes people can get confused with, I used to believe anyway,
people would get confused between seeing eyeshine and seeing glowing until I would,
run into, you know, guys have been hunting for 40 years and they're like, this was an
eye shine.
This was glowing.
These eyes were glowing.
And you pull up, the lights are on, you shut your car off, and I know the lights
probably stand for a tiny bit.
But when you were looking at those white eyes, did it remind you more of eyes shine or did
it remind, were they glowing in your opinion?
Honestly, I think it was a combination of both.
At first, whenever the headlights stayed on.
for a few minutes or a couple seconds.
And then, you know, if someone shines a flashlight on an animal, their eyes glow.
But if you turn a light off and there's no other light around you, you don't see the eyes
very often, at least in my experience.
So when I turned my headlights off and the eyes were still glowing and or reflecting, in my mind,
I was like, that's not right.
That's not normal.
I don't know what I'm looking at, but I'm terrified.
Yeah, it makes me wonder what the creature was doing.
Do you think it was just there chilling and then you kind of pulled up on it?
I have no idea what it was doing.
I didn't want to stick around to find out.
Yeah, I don't blame you.
I don't know that I would have either.
I'm trying to put myself in your shoes.
I think that would be just mass confusion and probably fear.
I mean, what's going through your mind at this point after it takes off?
I was just wondering where it was going, honestly.
Like, where do you go?
Like, do you go back into the woods?
Because there's a, I think I'm not familiar with this part of West Virginia as of yet.
But I don't know.
I've never been to that opposite side of where I was.
So I don't know if there's houses or anything behind there.
It just looked like straight woods.
So I'm wondering, you know,
West Virginia has got a lot of, depending on the part of West Virginia that you're in, it's like nothing but wood and mountains and stuff.
But I was just wondering, like, where are you going and like, what were you doing, like, to come to an area that's a little bit populated with people.
Yeah, can I ask you, what did you end up doing next after it took off?
I stayed in the car for a few minutes, just looking around to make sure that I, if I've seen it again, what?
what I would do is honestly I don't know what I would do.
Did you get the feeling that it was like a natural animal or did you, obviously it's physical,
but did you get a sense like this thing's evil or was it, did you get a sense like,
oh, this is just some weird animal I've never seen before?
At first, I was thinking that it was some kind of an animal.
But then as I was looking at it, it did not look like your normal dog or your normal
gear or any bear or anything like that.
And I felt I was frozen in fear.
I couldn't take my eyes off of it.
Because if something's going to try to come at me, I want to see it.
I guess that's how I would describe it.
In my mind, I was just absolutely petrified.
I had this feeling of like fight or flight mode, kind of.
Thank God I didn't have my son with me in the car because I don't know what he would have done.
I was just frozen in fear, terrified, not knowing what it was that I was looking at.
I don't know how I was to describe it other than being frozen in fear.
Yeah, a lot of people describe that feeling, being frozen in fear.
And a lot of people will say exactly what you just said, Kara.
I couldn't take my eyes off of it, which is strange because if something terrifies you, you run.
but most people don't do that when they run into this saying.
And what's weird about the dog man, I got a feeling it's not,
I got a feeling it's probably something more of an entity than it really is something
biological, but for whatever reason it appears biological.
And what I mean by that is there's a lot of reports of people shooting this saying
and this saying not reacting.
and its behavior reminds me more of a demon, you know, where they'll focus in on one person,
especially if you shoot at them or you engage with them.
They will focus in on you.
And I mean, I could be wrong.
It's just weird to me that a lot of people are reporting, seeing this saying,
what are your thoughts?
What do you think this dog man is?
I think it's, I definitely don't think it's wildlife because I've never,
I've grown up in the country.
I've seen deer.
I've seen cows.
I've seen all, you know, pretty much a lot of, you know, wildlife and everything.
And it didn't look anything from what I've seen other than what I've heard on your podcast.
And I definitely think that it's definitely, to me, the way it looked at me, it looked like it was evil.
And what made you think it was evil?
I was just curious on why you felt that way.
I just got this feeling that it was evil.
And usually I'm really good at reading things and picking up warm vibes that people have and stuff.
It just gave me a feeling of like, don't move.
I'm going to come get you if you move is what it felt like to me.
Yeah, a lot of people say that.
A lot of eyewitnesses say that, you know, they felt like it was evil for sure.
I know that your husband listens to the show.
Did you guys ever go back to this area?
I mean, did you ever find anything?
Yeah, during the day.
And what happened?
Actually, there was nothing.
There was nothing there, like no sign, no nothing.
I actually went there with my husband a couple weeks ago,
and there was nothing there, and I told him about it.
As soon as I got back to my apartment, I called him and I told him,
do you know what I just seen?
And he was like, no.
And I described it to him.
and I said the only thing that I could think of was West and his podcast and listening to other people's encounters.
And the only thing that I could think of.
And he's like, well, send him an email and tell him what you saw.
And then maybe he'll give you a call or something.
I'm like, yeah, right.
Like, you're thinking that, you know, I've sent in emails to radio stations before and I never got anything.
And in my mind, I consider you a celebrity because you talk to a lot of people.
people and you have a podcast that a lot of people listen to, which I think is awesome.
I just, I was thinking, yeah, right.
Like, why would he contact me kind of thing?
Like, I'm nobody compared to somebody that, you know, runs something like that.
And he's like, no, send him an email and see if he'll get back to you.
And then today, we literally were sitting right next to each other.
And I told him, if you message me, he's going to be the first one that I tell.
And as soon as I looked at my email, I saw your email and I showed him and he had this big smile on his face.
He goes, you're going to be on Sasquatch Chronicle.
Well, to be honest with you, I'm nobody important, but I do appreciate all the kind words.
And it is scary to run into it.
I mean, I've had many, many people from West Virginia run into this thing.
And I don't know what to make of it.
I really don't.
I don't know, you know, it seems to pop up.
in front of people and they'll describe it exactly how you're describing it. I find the white
eyes kind of fascinating, but I mean, I've heard red eyes from these things. I've heard blue
eyes from these sayings. I've heard many different colors and, you know, it just really makes
me wonder what in the world is going on. Why are people running into this thing and what is this
saying? I really appreciate you taking the time to come on and share it.
Thank you for having me. It's been really fun.
Next up on the show, I want to welcome Tony Merkel.
Check out his podcast called The Confessionals,
whatever podcast player you listen to.
Search for the Confessionals and check it out.
And Tony's actually got into making films.
Tonight we're going to talk about Shape of Shadows.
And Tony's going to give us an update.
I know he has a Bigfoot film coming out.
And him and I haven't even talked about the missing person and the update.
Kind of a thing that we stumbled upon.
on while filming this film that Tony's about to put out.
But if you want to check out Shape of Shadows,
go to Merkle.media and watch it.
I want to welcome my good friend Tony Merkel back to the show.
Tony, how you doing, man?
Man, I'm good.
Thanks for bringing me back on.
Yeah, you're always welcome on the show, man.
And, you know, I was telling someone the other day
about your film, The Shape of Shadows.
And I know I had you on a few episodes,
But for new listeners, I was trying to explain it to this guy, the shape of shadows.
It's, I was like, it's a good friend of mine.
And he comes across all of this weird stuff.
They captured UFOs.
They captured what appeared to be footprints changing from human to a horse.
I mean, just a lot of weird things.
But I was trying to really describe it to him.
And for someone who's never seen Shape of Shadows on Merkel.
media, what would they expect to see when they watch it?
I mean, how would you to kind of describe it in a nutshell?
Ah, man, put it in a nutshell.
I'm a long-winded person.
So here we go.
What they're going to be watching is the or, all right, so what we do with our films is we go
out to locations where known activity has happened.
They typically, so far, all the, the films we have shot come from episodes from my show.
And we pick out locations that we know we can get to, has had a wild encounter there, and we go and investigate.
Our tactics are very different than a lot of people's.
We're active, but we really strongly believe in just existing in an environment and letting the environment unfold around us.
You know is better than anybody.
When you're talking to somebody who's had an experience with, say, Sasquatch, like,
Most of time, it's because it was unexpected.
It wasn't like they were looking for it.
It just happened.
That's what happened with you.
And so underneath that idea, we're just like, listen, let's go to places where we know this stuff has happened, go out there and be intentional with how we do things and try.
But more importantly, just let the environment, just be part of the environment and not just go crazy and trying to like, you know, set bear traps everywhere and stuff.
just really just kind of exist.
And that strategy, we started with our first film, Exhibition Dogman,
and it went well, but it wasn't perfect because it literally was just unfolding as we go.
We really weren't sure what we were doing.
I had just met the guys.
The team that I have now all started from that first film, and I really didn't even know what we were doing.
So I was just like, hey, let's go to Kentucky and hunt a monster.
And they're like, okay.
And so we went.
But the second film comes from.
episode 202, which I just called Skinwalker Ranch. And I interviewed a guy named Ryan Burns on the show.
And what happened with him is he was in the Skin Walker Ranch area in Utah. And he was driving down
the road and he saw an elderly person and he thought he'd give him a ride. He pulls over and says,
hey, you know, do you need a ride? And they didn't say anything. They just opened the door and sat down
in his truck and then looked at him. And that's the last thing he remembers. The next thing he knows,
he's waking up hanging out of his truck and he calls the police and the reservation police come out
and they basically said you were nabbed by a skinwalker and when he described what happened and he's
like what's a skinwalker and that sets him down this rabbit trail of trying to figure out well what the
heck is this thing and so he got so deep into it that somehow he convinced his wife to allow him to
buy a piece of property that bordered skinwalker ranch and he calls the place space wolf research
And the reason why it calls it that is because the sheer amount of UFO settings in the area and upright walking canine.
So he's like, let's just call it Space Wolf Research.
And so I interviewed him years ago and he told me if I ever wanted to come out and, you know, experience the property I could.
And so I called him on that.
And we went out there to Utah.
And we spent a week on Space Wolf Research doing investigative stuff.
And before we even got out there, crazy stuff had happened.
So Ryan called me a week before.
said, hey, we have a 40-foot container on our property. When I say container, I mean like the shipping
yard containers, like those real heavy, thick metal ones. And he said that at some point,
it lifted off the ground, rotated 90 degrees and moved down probably about, I don't know,
it was probably about 10, 15 feet. And it actually, when it was dropped, it slammed into the
shed that was sitting there and actually damaged the shed. And he said that there was nobody on the
property. We don't know how it moved. We actually called heavy equipment.
operators in the area that rented out equipment to see if they rented out anything that could move it.
Nobody did. The property manager never heard anybody backing in a big rig or anything like that to do this.
And that happened right before we got out there. And then on my way out there, my producer Joseph showed
and Christian showed up a day early to scout the area, line up interviews, things like that.
And they set up a binoculars shooting over the mesa. Christian took his iPhone and put it up to
binoculars just to catch just to shoot footage for his phone and just when he did that this large
white object shoots straight down out of the sky shoots horizontal across the frame and then straight
up and we actually got it on video going straight across and that was just like the precursor to what
was going to happen the rest of the week I mean we had UFOs like the one night UFOs just popped off like
crazy leading up to that we had me and my cameraman ward like in the dark of night down this trail
found a ritual circle. We found trackways that transformed that seemed to transform from human to
horse. And I've tried rationalizing that because when we found the tracks, it was human tracks
and the ground was really saturated. And the human tracks were probably about three to four inches
deep. And so whenever they were made, you know they were made when it was really muddy.
Now, we see these tracks turn and start walking down a hill. And that's all we see is these
human tracks. And then all of a sudden, the human tracks are gone and we now see horse hoof prints.
And in the moment, I'm trying to rationalize things. And we're like, okay, so what's the most
logical explanation here? Because I'm here looking for skin walkers, these shapeshifters. This is too
easy. Like, there's got to be a reason for this. And what I was trying to think was, okay, so
somebody had a horse here, and they were walking with their horse down this hill. And they hopped
on their horse, and that's why the footprints were gone. And then I had a race that.
real quick because I realized that where the human prints were, you would see horse hoof prints
there too because if the human is making prints, you know the horses. That's not the case though.
It's just goes from human to horse. And so it's like a lot of weird things like that that we found.
We even got in, we got it, we got in this weird chase where we were chasing after this one vehicle
and this other vehicle was chasing after us. And we, you know, listen, when you're halfway
across the country and your wives are at home, you tend to do stupid.
stupid stuff. And that's exactly like I remember I was in the theater with you in Washington.
We were watching with 150 people in the theater. And that was the first cut of it. And I'm
sitting there and we hit that part of it. And I could almost hear your thoughts because I knew
what you were thinking. Not me. What are you guys stupid? Like I could hear it. And I was like,
he's never going to let me come out and shoot a film with him. And then you did. And I was like,
thank God. So, but yeah, I mean, it was, it was a wild week.
man, it was a wild week.
I was way more action-packed than I could have imagined.
And we literally just went and let the environment unfold around us.
And so I don't know if this is like groundbreaking tactics, but that's just what we're doing.
And so far, it's been three films that we shot.
We're shooting our fourth one this month.
And we've had pretty good success.
Yeah, I really enjoyed the film.
I thought you did a really good job on it.
And throughout the film, I remember thinking like, okay, that's weird.
That's weird.
That's weird.
all this stuff you guys were running into.
I know the film you have coming out next is a Bigfoot film,
and I get asked all the time.
So for the audience, when we were up there
and we were filming where my encounter took place,
there was an abandoned vehicle up there,
and it looked like it had just been abandoned.
We didn't even know that no one was there
when we first saw it.
It was kind of, it looks like someone at camp there,
maybe left for the day,
but day after day after,
day when we went back, the van was still there and nothing had been moved. And I remember when we
first got there, and people remember this for the last time you were on, but we found his shoes,
and it looked like he was running uphill. And in my gut, I remember thinking, this guy's gone.
I mean, this isn't some camps. I just had the sinking feeling in my gut. And the more we went
up there throughout the week, the more I realized this guy's gone. I mean, he's not coming back.
And it was a really weird spot for him to just up and leave. I mean, the van was brand new.
He had all this stuff around his camp. And I get asked all the time about this missing person.
Do you have an update for that guy that or the van that we found of the gentleman that never came back?
Yeah. So after that episode, you and I record, we recorded that shortly after I returned back home from Washington.
You got an email from somebody that knew who he was. I forget how the whole thing played out, but you pass it on to me.
I wanted to connecting with different people. I mean, we called the police. We filed reports. We talked to the sheriff's office multiple times.
A lot of phone calls went to voicemail or just kept ringing, to be honest with you. But we were trying to gather.
as much information as possible. And I got this number and I called it. It turns out it was the missing
person's ex, I believe, fiance. And so she was intimate with the understanding of who he was.
It turns out he started in Baltimore and started working his way across the country and he had
this idea in his head that he was going to be living off grid. But you saw the van that he was
he was working with and it was just like I think she said he had like $1,200 to his name and he started
working his way across the country. It didn't really seem like he had a real plan in mind.
And he finds himself in Washington. And the reason why we found out the name is because he had
that tag on his windshield and it had his name. So we were able to kind of start the investigation
there, which means that he got permission to park up there from what I understand. I don't know if he
was playing on squat in there for a long time or if he was low on cash or
what. But after seeing that van the first day and then going up there the last night and it was
still there untouched, that's when we were all like, okay. And then the weird things that happened
that night. But I get back to the Tennessee and I'm calling people around. I call her. She said
that she doesn't, because I told her what I was out there to do. And I told her I was filming a documentary
about Bigfoot. And I was like, listen, I know this is going to sound crazy. And I know it's going to
sound weird to you, but I got to tell you what we're out there doing because if it's real,
it could possibly be an answer here. And I told her, I said, you know, we were out there shooting
a documentary for Bigfoot because of my friend and his encounter, his encounter happened. I always say
about 100 to 200 feet away from where we found that van. That's about accurate. That's about accurate.
Yeah. Yeah. It's very close. And, and I told her, I said, you know, I told her about your experience
and how you even said when we were out there
were doing interviews with you.
Because I specifically asked you,
I said, do you think if you weren't in a vehicle,
you'd be here today?
And you said, no.
And so I told her this stuff.
And she's like, listen, I don't care if it was Bigfoot
or like some crackhead that killed him.
She just wants to know what happened to him.
So the police came, they towed the vehicle away,
and she is now in possession of it to this day.
Just last week, I think,
it was last week yeah it was last week i text her just for an update i let her know that we were looking
into things still and she came back and she told me that they actually organized a search of that entire
area so they i think the police did and they they swept that whole area they didn't find them
anywhere but they did find four other bodies out there and so it was like whoa so people are going
missing out there, whether it's nefarious to suicidal to unexplained cryptid stuff, they found
four bodies and that wasn't his. And when we were out there, it was like he just vanished,
just gone. I mean, the guy left his weed where it was, his bong was sitting out like he was like,
I'll be right back and then he never came back. And so to this day, he's still missing. They found
four other bodies in that area, the same area you had your encounter, and the case is still
open and we're still looking into it. So, yeah. Yeah, it's tragic. The whole thing is tragic.
But for the audience, you know what was weird about that whole situation. When we got there,
I remember I saw a shoe first, and he was running uphill, kind of like where my encounter
happened up the, you know, running up that little hill. And I remember seeing one of his shoes and then
we found the other one. And it reminded me of someone who took off running very quickly and lost
their shoes, you know, like they were in fear or something. There was something very weird about
his shoe placement. It was obvious he was running. But it made me stop and go, why is he running uphill?
Because he came in the same way. I mean, you know how you come into that place.
and if you wanted to leave, he would have gone the opposite way.
But he was running uphill.
It's like, why run uphill?
It's the path of most resistance.
It's further away from civilization and further away from safety
if you're even thinking your vehicle's safety.
Like it makes no sense to go in that direction
unless something in the direction of safety was coming towards you.
That's the way I look at it.
But I have big foot on the brain.
No, I think you hit it right on the head.
The only reason why, and I put myself in his position, the only reason why I'd run up that hill is if my only route of exit was being blocked, I would absolutely run up that way.
It's weird, and it doesn't shock me that the cops found four dead bodies out there.
People vanish up there all the time.
I mean, I didn't know any of this until a couple of years ago, but even that Lewis River drainage system right there,
it's basically like a creek.
I mean, it's a little more than a creek.
It's like a tiny little river, but it's tiny.
And people drown in that all the time.
I mean, you saw how deep that river is.
It makes no sense anyone would ever drown in that thing.
That makes no sense to me at all.
That makes no sense to me at all.
Like that creek you can just walk across.
Yeah.
That's wild.
Yeah, I don't know what to make of the whole thing.
thing, man. I just think that, I think something nefarious happened to him, whether that's Bigfoot or
human. It's something, I don't think what I think everybody prefers to happen, which is he just wanted
to disappear and he left his stuff and just went, right? I don't think that's what happened.
Because it's not like it was summertime when we were there. It was cold. It was snowing.
We had to deal with snow several times on that trip. And so the idea of him,
just walking off into the woods, thinking that let's just play it out.
He was, his mission was to live off grid.
And if he isn't, you know, maybe totally, you know, mentally stable at whatever point,
if he's thinking, well, living off grid is going off into the wilderness with no shoes,
you're not going to get far with all that snow on the ground.
You're either going to turn back or you're going to squat down.
Somebody would have found him.
There would have been trackways.
I just, to me, it screams like something bad.
happened to him that was outside of his control. And it's very concerning. Yeah, it's tragic. The whole
thing is tragic. And I remember at first, I was kind of telling you, I was like, I don't know if you
should put this in the film. I mean, a man's gone. He's missing. Hopefully he's out there and he just
wanted to vanish. I don't think that's the case at all. But I wanted to ask you, you know,
this Bigfoot film you have coming out, I know you have Shape of Shadows out now on Merkel,
media. This next film, the Bigfoot film, is there an ETA on when it might come out?
Yeah, early 2024. We were, we were originally looking at Christmas time this year,
but the way we're trying to plan, we're really trying to be deliberate on how we do things
and planning things out. And we think it makes more sense for us to release in the first quarter
of 2024 to make sure that the film is what we want to be and that we're not.
rushing certain things that have nothing to do with the film itself, but like more marketing,
promotion, releasing, and just making sure things are done strategically, which is not my forte.
I tend to just be like, hey, this is cool. Let's just do it. And we do it now. And we just let it
go. And everybody around me is much more responsible and strategic, which is great because
I'm not. So yeah, we're looking at the first quarter of 2024. We have the first cut. And
That has been done for about a week or two,
but we're getting the second cut here soon.
And yeah, it's coming along.
It's coming along.
And I'm excited about it for sure.
The hardest thing is titling.
It really is because what and I agree, Joseph,
he thinks that, well, he brought it to the table that it should have
Sasquatch in the title for marketing purposes.
And the problem is this turned into.
to a film where we went Sasquatch hunting,
but it also picked up this whole missing 411 vibe.
And so it's like,
how do we accurately title this film
to be something that encompasses what the film is, you know,
so that there's no curveballs thrown to people
and they get a good sense of what they're looking at
just by the title.
That's the hardest thing right now.
We are throwing things around left and right,
and it's just, I hate it.
I hate it. I just wish the title was the easiest part.
Yeah, I can imagine.
You know it'd be really cool as if we did a viewing party with your members and my members,
and we all kind of sat and watched the films together.
I think that'd be kind of cool.
Dude, I think that would be a great idea.
Yeah, we'll have to talk about that offline.
I'd like to make that happen.
I think it'd be really cool.
I can't wait to see your new film, the Bigfoot One.
I've seen Shape of Shadows, but for the listeners out there,
If you haven't seen it, go to Merkel. Media.
But, you know, the Bigfoot film I'm looking forward to, I know not for me being in it by any means,
but the lady that you had from Oregon that saw the creature kind of do the spider crawl.
And I know you also interviewed the Browns.
And there's a bunch of other cool things that are going to be in it.
It'd be very cool to do that around the first year, do like a viewing party and have all of your members and all of my members.
and where people we can all interact with each other.
We'll have chat about that offline.
I think that's a really cool idea,
and I'd love to see something like that happen.
And I can't wait for the Bigfoot film.
