Hello everyone and welcome to a new spin-off show from Saturn Returns all around love,
relationships and dating. This is Letters to Venus. Venus is the goddess of love,
the celestial muse of beauty, desire, and connection.
She teaches us that love is not just something we seek,
it is something we embody.
Hello everyone.
For today's bonus episode, I am sitting down with Audrey who is one of
the co-founders of Easy Stars who helped make this season of Letters to Venus possible.
Easy Stars sits at the intersection of astrology and tech. It is an astrology app and it helps
you discover who you are and helps you maximize your potential.
With their AI astrology pixie, Easy Stars provides daily guidance, wellbeing tips and
insights that help you tap into your inner universe. It's about enhancing self-awareness
and using that knowledge to unlock better, more fulfilling relationships.
I hope you enjoy hearing some of the insights from Audrey on
creating this app, her journey in this space which is you know often very male dominated in
the tech environment and some of her insights on women in business. And if you guys want to
dive into your own astrology whether that's having a little help from the astrologer
AI Pixie or looking into the compatibility report which is super interesting if you are
dating someone, thinking about dating someone in a relationship with someone, I always find
this a very very useful tool. And just head to the app store and find Easy Stars. We will
put a link in the show notes to make it super easy for you to do this. So I hope you find it useful.
Audrey, welcome to Saturn Returns. How are you?
Thank you very much. I'm doing great. Thank you for welcoming me.
Would you be able to explain a little bit about the work that you're doing at the moment with
EZ Stars and how that came to be? I'm one of the founding members of EZ Stars along with
Emrah, who's our astrologer, Shansal and Emirhan. And this idea came to be around COVID really. So Emmerhan and Chansal met with Emra.
And that's how they got just to talking about astrology really
and educating themselves on the topic
and started finding it really interesting.
And so then they were like,
okay, is there a way that we can take Emra's work on astrology
and make it more kind of universally accessible
as a tool for self-reflection,
daily guidance, anything along these lines, and also understanding yourself, yourself
with others, how you interact with people.
And so that's how the idea came to be.
And what we like to say is that our goal is to guide everyone in their lives and their daily interactions
through the prism of astrology.
What are some of your hopes for the app in terms of what you want to achieve for people
that are using it?
I think overall, people being comfortable with the app and finding comfort in it is one of our main goals.
We love to see people returning to it because there is an aspect of self-growth within our
app coming from who you already are, not aiming at changing anyone.
In terms of running the business or being co-founders with your partner romantically
as well, how has astrology played a part in your relationship and how have you managed
things as co-founders, balancing work and personal?
Yeah, that's a great question.
And that's something we had in mind from the beginning. When we started
talking about Easy Stars and the project, I think setting boundaries from the
get-go on, you know, if I start really sharing ideas, obviously I want to get
involved as a regular member. I obviously don't want to be favored or
anything but like regular member,
but I do wanna be an active part in it.
Sometimes I think it's a bit heavier on women,
but sometimes we tend to like not involve ourselves
in businesses and we just act as counselors
and we don't necessarily feel that our IDs
have actually kind of a value as well
and they should be valued in a business. So I really made a point and that came from my study where
I heard this woman say never work for free and so I made sure I was within the
business. So that was one of the first boundaries was I want to be an active
team member and I want to make sure that I have that status while contributing.
It's business.
When you mentioned about someone, you saw a woman speaking about how
basically valuing your input and making sure that
there's an acknowledgement of that contribution,
where was that? Where did that happen?
Was it at a talk?
Yeah, so it was a talk at school.
We were inviting professionals from any field Was that a talk? Yeah. So it was a talk at school.
We were inviting professionals from any field to come and talk.
That lady came in and she had a great career and gave business advice.
She knew she was talking to an audience of students.
And so she was like, whatever you do, never work for free.
And it doesn't mean that you have to work for money, necessarily,
because as I was telling you, we're still growing.
But it does mean that for me, I wanted to be considered a member,
and I wanted to have my name attached to the company.
What advice would you give to the audience that might be listening,
thinking, resonating with a lot of what you say,
but don't really know what steps to take.
For female entrepreneurs, you need to take a step. The fear of failure when you're a woman
is maybe a little bit more present.
We are raised to be slightly more risk averse,
that's a reality.
And especially in this era where you're bombarded
with successful people.
And so it's good to be reminded of some stats,
you know, most businesses fail and it's okay.
It takes up to four or five aid businesses
for people to be able to succeed.
Those big names we hear off,
they didn't make it sometimes
before they were in their fifties, in their sixties.
And so I think it's good to remind
yourself of that it doesn't have to be immediate. There are wonderful success stories where people
quit their jobs and it worked out for them, but also other stories where people just try something,
started something along their current work or anything else. And that was their comfort zone. But then that's how they made it.
So I think there's also a question on,
yeah, you just acting and taking that first step
is what's gonna make you take the second one
and the third one,
and it's gonna make you more comfortable
with success and failure.
But overall, I think going at your pace as well is important
and trying to filter the noise around you.
I think my main advice is take that step,
be aware of the stats.
You don't have to succeed the first time,
it doesn't mean you won't succeed the second one.
Yeah, I think that's beautiful advice.
And as a final note, where can people go
if they wanna get involved in the app?
Where do you suggest they start?
Because if they feel like astrology
is still quite new for them,
because I know you've got Pixie,
which can help with people as a kind of coach
or astrologer for the app.
So what's your favorite aspect of it?
So where can people start?
First things first,
they can go on any of their app stores and look for
Easy Stars in one word and they can find us. We have the purple logo. They can download the app
and create an account. Once that's done, they can start with daily advice, do's and don'ts for the
day, how the day is looking like in terms of energies really. And then they can go look at their U tab,
which is a tab where they can find a bit more
about their personality, but in very accessible,
in a very accessible way.
And they'll have a bit of snippets on their personality.
We're completely open to feedback.
It's a great way to introspect.
If they wanna dive deeper into their science
and understand more about astrology, they can go into their natal chart. They'll see,
okay, I'm a Sagittarius, but what else am I? Because that's where they'll discover that
there are multiple angles to astrology. And so that is a very moving thing that embraces
kind of all sides of you. And it goes back to me saying, everyone is exceptionally unique, especially when
you talk about astrology.
And then my personal favorite, and I think the one that makes people react the most
is the compatibility tab.
You can find out your synergies with other people.
That's usually what makes people react the most when they see how different or similar they are to someone.
We have this new feature that you mentioned called Pixie,
which is our baby.
So it's an astrology AI.
And so you can ask any type of questions to Pixie
and Pixie will find answers according to your profile, um, and your birth chart
and your personality.
So whether it's about relationships, work, anything.
So let's say you're doing your compatibility report with someone.
So let's say you've done it with your partner and you have more questions and
you can just ask Pixie and get answers.
It's such an exciting project.
I can't wait for our audience to try it out.
Thank you for coming on the podcast. Thank you for having me.
