Starting point is 00:00:37 ["Prepare Toys Plugs For You"] From Vanderpump rules to motherhood and everywhere in between. Warm up the kettle, it's time to spill some tea. Shay. ["Because We're Good As Gold"] Hello everyone. Welcome back to Shenanigans. There is a lot going on in the world right now. So I asked two of my faves to come on and talk about it all. You know her from the Talk of Shame and the host of Reality Checked on Radio Andy. It's my girl Kiki Monique.
Starting point is 00:01:29 How we doing? So good. So good. Looking good. Go Dodgers. Yes. MJ might say go Yankees. Mets.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Mets, that's right. Depends on who I'm trying to piss off. Yeah. Well, we've got my girl MJ, the OG of Shaw's of Sunset, also in the house and my personal favorite faithful. How we doing? I love you.
Starting point is 00:01:52 I'm so glad to be here for a Kiki. I know, a Kiki with Kiki. Yeah. I love my Kikis. Yeah, we all need one. Yeah. So how's everyone doing? How was your weekends?
Starting point is 00:02:01 What'd we do? I drank like two glasses of champagne on Saturday at Nobu in Malibu. Oh yeah. And when I tell you, it was still not even noon and it knocked me onto my ass. And then I felt like I stabbed myself with depression and I've never been in such a downward spiral.
Starting point is 00:02:21 So. Damn. Were you hungover? Yeah, I think it's because I started shots, the weight loss shots, and I think that it like it's like the methadone of like food and alcohol it like just doesn't allow you to. Yeah I heard that a friend of mine's doing the same thing right now and had a night drinking and was sick for two days. Yeah and I'm like depressed in a way that I'm not used to so at least I'm learning that everything
Starting point is 00:02:46 is hormones in your body. So, you know, that's, I'm going to save myself. Are you doing the ZetBound, Wigovie? Yeah, ZetBound doesn't matter. OK, because I found, so like I'm on Wigovie, and people are like, doesn't it affect your drinking? It hasn't really affected. I don't drink as much or crave it as much.
Starting point is 00:03:02 But my friends who are on ZetBound, they don't want to drink. And so I don't know if it or crave it as much, but my friends who are on ZipBound, they don't want to drink. And so I don't know if it's just a different formulation, but, you know, I'm drinking a little. Like, I had my first red wine that I've had since I've been on this shot, and I was like, literally like one glass, and I was like, I'm done.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Sip-see? Oh, wow. That's good, though. That means it's working. Because you still get the buzz. I just didn't feel myself. Like, I don't know if I'm drinking as I know I'm not drinking as often because my lifestyle is you know baby baby and wait
Starting point is 00:03:31 until kindergarten happens. You're even more I thought I was like releasing the child to school. Yeah. But I'm so much more involved now. So that's why like I didn't I didn't know if like Zetbound was cock blocking me to drink or not It's just that the aftermath caught up with me in a very heavy way. Yeah, and here we are. Gotcha Here we are crazy. I went to the heiress tour in New Orleans. That's amazing Yeah, no, it was so fun. We literally met at Van Nuys Airport Hopped on a jet went straight to New Orleans, got off. They had a party bus waiting for us,
Starting point is 00:04:09 drove us straight to the stadium in... Who's they? Some friends of mine in Bronx. OK. They invited us. And then we were also with the singer Jax. She has that Victoria's Secret song. Oh.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Obsessed with her. Yeah, same. Oh my god. Loved her and her husband. So it was just a good group of us. And I Obsessed with her. Same. Oh my God. Loved her and her husband. So it was just a good group of us. And I would have had her singing that song, especially now that What's His Name Abercrombie Dude just got a rep.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Right? I would have been like, yes, let's put this on repeat. I know. For sure. Yeah, but it was so fun. The t-shirt. Wearing my merch. I love that.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Yeah. And then as we're in our floor seats, we realized we had three bags of merch and one of them went missing Everyone around us were like is that our bag? Yeah our bag Yeah, like because I was looking at your I've been eye fucking your shirt because my little cousins want them and yeah It's hard like if you get a bootleg then it's not the same like and you can't get the real one because you can only Get it in the stadium. So I was trying to get it and I was like scrambling to be the hero in my family and I'm looking at yours and I'm like, no, that's really good quality.
Starting point is 00:05:12 It is. In every way. No, it's so nice. I loved it. I had to wear it today. No, it's so funny that you talk about quality because I, so over the weekend, I became a baseball fan. I was not a baseball fan.
Starting point is 00:05:22 So like I dated a guy who was a Jets fan. So I would like what I mean, I'm sorry, a Mets and J baseball fan. I was not a baseball fan. This is new. So, like, I dated a guy who was a Jets fan. So, I was like, what I mean, sorry, a Mets and Jets fan. So, when I was rooting for baseball in New York, it was Mets, but I was like, I would never root for the Yankees. And I'm like, I live in L.A. now, so Dodgers. But you can't get, like, a proper legit shirt unless you go to the stadium. I'm like, I'm going to the stadium.
Starting point is 00:05:38 So, I went to, like, a market, a little thrift market in Echo Park, found a vintage Brooklyn Dodgers, because that's where I was originally from. And I got an LA Dodgers one too. So it's like you do have to get like the legit shirts. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And where's the guy?
Starting point is 00:05:54 We are not together. Like, no, absolutely not. Fuck him. Yeah. We also have Halloween this week. What are our plans, costumes, parties? What are we doing at our age? I'm invited to a Halloween party, but it's actually trick-or-treating and Like a adult party. Okay, that's fun. Yeah, so I'm like gonna go for the first time
Starting point is 00:06:19 I always say I'm gonna have a costume this year and I'm gonna like do it and then I end up like half an hour Before I'm supposed to leave like trying to like find like sexy kitten and like, you know, ruin them. You just need some ears and lingerie. Yeah, it's not okay though. What are you guys gonna do? I'm actually flying to New York Wednesday, so I'm gonna be with like my nephews basically. And he really wants to watch scary movies and his mom does not like scary movies and
Starting point is 00:06:43 he knows I love scary movies. So I'm trying to think of what's inappropriate for a 10-year-old, because I want to go full scary, but I don't want to traumatize him. What about Beetlejuice? Not scary enough. But like something, I feel like I want to scare him, but like not traumatize him.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Not traumatize him. Are you willing to do one of those really hot silicone masks? I mean, maybe. That'll scare the shit out of me. I took Summer to, there's these houses in Burbank. There's a TikTok we saw, and there are all these crazy decorated houses.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Like you've never seen anything like it. It was like a full set, like Halloween horror nights vibes. And the first one we went to, I thought it might be scary for her It was like gnarly clowns, but she loved it. She said it was her favorite more than the Alice in Wonderland house I was like, okay, but then we go to the pumpkin house. She was really excited They had live actors there and all of a sudden this guy with like a fucking jack-o-lantern starts running after one of my friends with like a mallet or something and then summer season get scared
Starting point is 00:07:46 And then he sees there's a child there, and we didn't know they were like live actors Yeah, I was just going to see decorations And so then he like tries to hand her the I mean it was a fake one obviously and she was like looking She's like uh-uh, and I was like we can go to the next house, honey But I had no idea there were people who go this all out for Halloween. It was insane. Oh, yeah. I mean, I love Halloween.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I really do. But I just like I'm like you. I'm like last minute. I'm like, let me throw on some cat ears. Like, I don't know what to do. Yeah. Summer's at the age where now she picks what our costumes are. I have no say in what I am anymore.
Starting point is 00:08:22 You're a skeleton family this year. She also wanted to be a werewolf and when Brock was on an Instagram live She was saying what her Halloween costumes were and someone goes Oh is that so sheena could be little red riding hood and I'm like great idea So cute So I just did that the other day for literally a photo op because I don't know if she's actually gonna wear the werewolf But I'm like, let's just yeah get the photos, you know, what does she want to be? What does she want to be for all, like, what are you
Starting point is 00:08:46 gonna be this year? So we were skeletons last night. I think we're doing that again for trick-or-treating, but then she said she wants to be a fairy, she wants to be a rainbow. I'm like, we don't have a rainbow costume. But also for dance class today, she gets to dress up. So I'm like, we'll do like the fairy for dance class. I don't know when she's gonna do the werewolf I'm like sweetheart there are only so many parties. That is so cute. Outfit change though in the middle of maybe like you know one for the beginning of the Halloween day. Oh and she was a pumpkin last week for a party so yeah. Cutest pumpkin ever. So cute. That's what Shams was his very first Halloween
Starting point is 00:09:23 he was a pumpkin. Yeah. He was like he was six months old. Yeah. Totally. Now are you gonna do like a sexy fashion Nova like slutty skeleton costume? Because I do actually have that. I might be that now that you're reminding me. See I do too. I did that for the Maxim party probably I don't know seven, eight years ago. But no I got the the tipsy elves, like onesie, just the jumpsuit. Like raver vibes. Yeah, so Brock and I have those, and then hers glows in the dark.
Starting point is 00:09:51 She's really excited about it. Okay, yeah, Shams has that. The glow in the dark, it's PJs from, you know, the store. Okay, you're giving me ideas. But I have to make Tommy, not my Tommy, talk about the Freudian slip, I have to make Shams's costume. He wants to be something that costume doesn't exist.
Starting point is 00:10:09 It's Soundwave from Transformers. Transformers have the main guys that you see at Universal. But no, he's adamant. It has to be Soundwave, who is one of the Decepticons of the universe. So I'm gonna go get cardboard boxes, duct tape. I have to get a zapto knife to cut the arms out. So I'm thinking a milk carton vibe,
Starting point is 00:10:33 but where his arm holes will just be a body leotard type thing. And Tommy, my number one hater, is like, that is not gonna happen. It is not gonna work out, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like... Prove him wrong. Yeah, you can do it.
Starting point is 00:10:49 I know. I'm like, I can do this. Like, I can just figure out how to... First of all, you're just gonna duct tape the ends together. Yeah. And then, you know, strong Zacto knife and I'll keep you posted. And if you need help... I saw a dad on TikTok who, like, took TikTok who took a mannequin thing and basically strapped it
Starting point is 00:11:07 to his daughter and then poked a hole through it so it looked like she was holding her own head on a platter. Oh. And it was all just very homemade. Creative. And I was like, that's so good. I think I saw that.
Starting point is 00:11:19 It was really scary. It looked like she was a headless woman. Yeah. Yeah. And then it was so creative. It looked like she was a headless woman. Yeah. Yeah. And then it was so creative. And you know what? The people who gave me the idea were people
Starting point is 00:11:30 who listened to Till the Dirt that knew the costume shamps wanted to be didn't exist. So they sent me all the links on like the Etsy's and they gave me the ideas. That's what I was gonna say, it has to be a way that you can like follow along with the DIY. Yeah. I can't wait for you to prove Tommy wrong.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Right? I know. I'm going to FaceTime all of us on Halloween. Let's do it. With Halloween coming up, candy is obviously a big thing. So what is everyone's favorite Halloween candy? And then I've got a couple funny summer stories for you about that. I think any sort of miniature chocolate,
Starting point is 00:12:06 like I love mini Reese's, but I like like when it's pumpkin shaped, like when they do the special ones for Halloween. Anything chocolate. I'm into gummies now. Just don't give me any candy corn by Black Licorice, by Charleston Chew, those sorts of things. Like I don't like terrible candy. You don't want it to cause cavities.
Starting point is 00:12:24 It's going to cause cavities If it's like chewy stuck in there and you know, I go to the dentist after no, yeah No, I a sour, you know gummy. Yeah, that's what I am too. SPK Yeah all the way the best, you know, so real simple ranked the best candies as the following. I wanna ask if you agree. Obviously Reese's is number one, so I know you agree. Then M&M's, Snickers, Peanut M&M's, Twix, Kit Kat, Hershey's, Milky Way, Sour Patch Kids, and Skittles. I strongly disagree.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I feel like I would replace Peanut Butter M&M's because I think they're so much superior to Peanut M&M's. They're actually better than Reese's. Mm-hmm So, you know that skittles have been canceled because of the red diet so toxic Oh, and then peanuts are canceled because everyone's got an allergies. Yeah Yeah, and so I think that leaves me with like jello shots That'll be my vote is it Reese is it Reese's or Reese's? Oh, I think I say Reese's Pieces.
Starting point is 00:13:29 But you just said Reese's. Did I? You did. Oh my gosh. I also can't say Bagel, right? Apparently so. Neither can Janet. Really?
Starting point is 00:13:36 Literally, it's a thing. Yeah. What was the beginnings? What was it that Emily Simpson, she was like beginnings, big... Measurement. Measurement. Yeah. I can't believe you pulled that one out. I just posted that TikTok recently with her. What was it that Emily Simpson she was like beginnings big measurement? TikTok recently with her she was on the podcast last week. Oh my god. That is amazing I'm gonna look for a measurement I had was trying to get a compilation of all of my friends who say things
Starting point is 00:13:58 But we ended up just posting them with Emily because Janet does say bagel weird. And then I wanted to make it an Ohio thing. And I was like, Ali, if you can give me one. And then she sends me video and she was, pop, does that count? And I'm like, no, that's just saying a different word for soda, like mispronouncing a name. And so I ended up posting it with just Emily. Can I tell you one of the, I know you guys get mean comments too. I was telling my friends this yesterday.
Starting point is 00:14:23 One of the meanest comments I got that just sticks with me to this day was this girl who was just like, I'm unfollowing you, because why would I trust a bagel queen who can't even say it right? It was so cool. Wow. That's aggressive. It's really aggressive. You can't even say bagel, right? Okay, right.
Starting point is 00:14:42 So, okay, MJ, as we have kids kind of close in age, tell me how do you go about rationing or regulating how much sweets Shams has? How many sweets Shams has? I have a hack. Okay. I give him a carrot, the baby ones, and I say, if you want this, first have this.
Starting point is 00:15:03 I actually do the same thing. Amazing, see? We're both geniuses. Oh, okay. And, you know you want this, first have this. I actually do the same thing. Amazing. Yeah. We're both geniuses. Okay. And you know, of course he'll push back, but you'll be like, nope, sorry. Because remember, they want the boundaries. They want someone who's going to help them have a prosperous future. They don't want bad habits and you know, whatever free reign, right? Yeah. So I know that at the end of the day, you just have to push through with what you want. And on that note, there was somebody that said,
Starting point is 00:15:31 make sure that every time you open your mouth and you're talking to your kids, you're not like talking at them and correcting them and telling them what to do. So I just try to like be really low key about it. If you want this, those are the rules and it just works. Well, I love that because that's my little hack too. about it. Oh, if you want this, those are the rules. And it just works. I love that because that's my little hack too. But I know we were talking about this
Starting point is 00:15:50 before we started and I've been wanting to bring this up on the podcast because a lot of people thought that Stassi was shading me in her book when she wrote about me scooping the frosting off of the cupcakes and feeding Summer broccoli. Yeah. First of all, I want to point out this was exactly a year ago. It was Lala's five year sober birthday and we just had her sixth year.
Starting point is 00:16:13 So a lot has changed in here. My kid loves frosting. She had a piece of candy corn the other day that was on top of this brownie one of the moms made for us. And it was like this cute little graveyard and had some candy corn decorations she pulled one off and she's like I love candy corn and I'm like that only comes out in October you will never have it other than that but I'm like no no no
Starting point is 00:16:37 no I would have kept her away from candy corn for the rest of my life but she just picked it off and I was like no no. Well, when I saw the Sheena, I mean Stassi comment, I was like, it kind of feels like me with Golnesse. People ask, are you guys okay? Are you not okay? Where are you? Oh, but on, you know, watch what happens. You just said this.
Starting point is 00:16:58 And when I saw the Stassi thing, I had to listen. And I went into the comment sections for blind, like, having your back without knowing the whole story. And I was like, she can slide off as much frosting as she wants to. Like end of story. But then, like, Stassi didn't say anything bad about you. She was just talking about, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:21 I think she was worried about herself and she was judging herself as a mom She was like shit Am I doing something wrong like my kids running around with black frosting in her teeth and summer moons sitting there eating broccoli Peacefully, you know, yeah, so it was like she was questioning herself as a mom Yeah It was not her shading me whatsoever and I was like well look sauce if we get the girls together more I guarantee Hartford's gonna eat more broccoli because then all of a sudden Hartford and Oshin see some are eating the broccoli and then they want to eat the broccoli
Starting point is 00:17:48 I'm like, it's literally monkey see monkey do they do toddlers. They go like this. What does she got? Oh, she's eating it Uh-huh. Yeah, okay. That's cool. Just look at each other for what to do It's actually one of the things that I do enjoy about kindergarten Is that he'll come home with like a new value system that he didn't have like I'm like someone kindergarten is that he'll come home with a new value system that he didn't have. I'm like, someone taught him that at school. Where do I send the thank you flowers? That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:12 But I did like that she wrote about it because right when I read it, I texted her and she was like, yes, Hartford still doesn't eat broccoli. But I thought it was a refreshing moment where we all think things as moms about, am I doing this right? am I doing this wrong and Then you can compare to other kids or other moms And it's like well shit her kid doesn't do this or her kid eats this and it's like we look at ocean ocean
Starting point is 00:18:34 We'll just like chow down on filet mignon summer is pretty much vegetarian unless it is a chicken McNugget And it's a McNugget not a dino nugget. She likes her McNuggets. Sometimes we can get her to eat a dino nugget, but it's like just something about McDonald's. I don't know what the fuck they put in their chicken nuggets. Try to limit them, but she doesn't like meat. Well, it's also like the seasoning in the batter and it's the temperature and if it's the texture
Starting point is 00:19:01 and the crispiness, like my kid will see like a speck of something and he'll be like, ew, that has this on it. And I'm like, I just tortured my dad with this. Food can't touch, I saw him be separate. Yeah, exactly. He got really mad because Tommy put the chicken on top of the spaghetti.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Oh no. No, no, no. Can't do that. What do you send him in his lunches? So he gets hot lunch at school, which is called, basically it's gonna be cheese pizza, but he also has a lunch box. It's not like I'm doing double, he's so fickle.
Starting point is 00:19:34 One day he'll have filet mignon and he'll be like, Mommy, I want this every single day for the rest of my life. And I'm like, yeah, you say that now and then tomorrow I try to give it to you again. So I do saltine crackers because he's allowed. I do sharp cheddar in the individual pre-cut pieces. Has to be the specific thickness and slice. There's a couple of organic Trader Joe's strawberry snacks.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Then I try with the fruit, but it just comes back smushed. So I can do the fruit at home. Oh, and I can do the carrots, the baby carrots. Those are also in school. They serve the baby carrots that we have. So like, there's, yeah. I like those TikToks that show like when moms are like, here's what I packed my kid to go to lunch with and here's what returned.
Starting point is 00:20:23 But I'm also like, man, lunch boxes and what mom, my mom was not doing all of that. I'm like, your mom's really care about you. My mom loves me, but not like that. Like you can't make sandwiches. He definitely won't eat the meat. He won't eat peanut butter and gel. It's not allowed at school.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Wow. So what would he put in his school? Oh, they don't even allow PB&J at the school? No. And you can't even do like sunflower seed butter because if it looks like it, that happened one day. Bala sent that with Ocean
Starting point is 00:20:52 and she got a call from the school saying, it appears that it's peanut butter. She's like, I swear it's not, it's sunflower seed. And they're like, you can't even send that. Right, no nuts, no nuts. No variety of nuts, not even a pistachio, nothing like nuts are off. And also like what are they gonna eat
Starting point is 00:21:08 after it's been in their box for four hours? Doesn't look the same, ew, ew, whatever they think. I know, every day it's a struggle. I'm just like, here's some fruit. And call it a day. Yeah. I mean, it'll be fine. They come home, they eat Persian food.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Yeah. Yep. All right. We're gonna take a quick little break and then we will be right back. Okay, everyone, it is that time of year when the holidays are right around the corner and you're going to be spending a lot of money, but you know what you could be doing is earning cash back. is earning cash back. You can get some electronics at Best Buy, you know, maybe an aura ring, Neiman Marcus, if you want to be a little fancy, you know. So basically stores will be at the highest cash back rates

Starting point is 00:23:16 I've not always been the most creative person. However, I always have loved learning. I was a straight A student and I just love learning new things. And I love being able to do that with my daughter. KiwiCo has helped us do that together. They are launching KiwiCo clubs, which helps engage kids on a journey of seriously fun learning.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Summer has absolutely loved this. We've been doing this with her since she was only a year old and they have something for kids of all ages. KiwiCo has five clubs to choose from that covers science, technology, engineering, art, and math. And it's more than just a crate. It's just a great thing to do when you want to spend some quality time with your kid, but you don't want to have to actually use your brain and think of something creative. KiwiCo does it for you. Tinker, create, and innovate with KiwiCo. Get up to 50% off your first crate at kiwico.com promo code honey. That's up to 50% off your first
Starting point is 00:24:47 crate at kiwico.com promo code honey. Okay, MJ, I have to ask you about this, just to switch gears a bit because I saw online this weekend, this past week, there were two Bravo accounts going back and forth and posting your screenshots. Isn't that insane? It all went back to my show at the Bourbon Room over a year ago. And this was like, yeah, like August, 2023. But I wanna know who was being truthful.
Starting point is 00:25:27 How did you get pulled into this? Like, I just want you to kind of set the record straight. And did you also give consent for them to post your text messages? No. Can you sue people for that? Cause it was the first time that it made me wonder why in the world would anybody post screenshots of somebody?
Starting point is 00:25:46 Now I haven't read the Instagram posts. I don't know what they posted. I saw that they were trying to defend themselves, saying like, well you were drunk, and then there was a fight, and all of this happened. But I'm like, why are we talking about this again almost a year and a half later? Why are we? We already talked about this a year ago.
Starting point is 00:26:06 And what was strange was because both of them were saying that through the screenshots of the text message they were sending, that you were on their side, both of them. So I was like, how is this possible? But also I'm like, why are we airing out text messages? Like we never do that. Like I would never post that without someone's consent because like you lose all trust like I'm never gonna message You again because like yeah You only post the screenshots of people you're fine not being friends with anymore
Starting point is 00:26:33 Yeah, if you need the receipts, I'm like, oh bitch Cuz I did check on you to make sure you got home safe. Okay, here's the screenshot. I Agree, if you're getting a check and part of your job. Totally. Here's what I did see was a picture of me and a big like opinion about it. Like MJ even said that so and so was messy. And I was like, that's not nice about the other person. I was like, you know, the fact is that I heard that they were two guys that used to be friends,
Starting point is 00:27:07 had a falling out, and everything was- Yeah, they did a live podcast show together that I was a guest on. So they did like work together. And then they had a falling out. And so what else do we have that we know about it? The screenshots didn't make me look bad, right? No! Because what I read from the screenshot, I went back and I looked at my texts
Starting point is 00:27:24 rather than going on Instagram so that I didn't get triggered. I thought I did a nice job of defending in a positive way. Like, hope y'all work it out. You know, check on each other. But there was like a huge falling out. Yeah, one of them was saying that the other got really drunk and had, and like, I think was even smashing, you know, glasses and had to be escorted out by
Starting point is 00:27:50 security. And they were saying that you were witness to him being escorted out by security. And they were posting the screenshots to show like that did not happen. And see, I talked to her and it was like, is this truthful? And you were like, no. And then it was like, the other one was like, see, this is what I said. And like, isn't, didn't he get kicked out? And it was like, so I truthful? And you were like, no. And then it was like, the other one was like, see, this is what I said. And like, isn't, didn't he get kicked out? And it was like, so I was like, what is the truth? Well, what the one guy put on Instagram was his version, you know?
Starting point is 00:28:16 And so when somebody said, is that what you said, the answer was no, and that is correct. But they just wanted, like, I'm very, you know, flattered that I'm the judge, the jury and the voice of the people to be like, if MJ says so, then it is, you know, right. Just, you know, try to go out with a friend next time so that you won't feel like you're alone on an island and always go to Sheena's podcast tours. Yeah, yeah, I know. We need to do another one of those. I go to Sheena's podcast tours. Yeah. Yeah. I know we need to do another one of those. I can't believe it's been over a year. Yeah, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Well, if things like this happen, I definitely want to go. Seriously. Bring out the camera. Yeah. I'll be the actual, I'll be the actual receipts of what happened. Yeah. Which which one was it that Kristen and Gigi were on stage together? Oh, yeah, I think that was one of those. It was one of theirs.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Yeah, so things happened. That had so much drama too. I mean, Lala and Kristen, that was like the falling out. Oh, okay. It's her not defending Lala when Gigi said whatever she said about her and Kristen didn't chime in. Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Always drama at these live podcasts. I know. And it's live, you know, there's no editing. She was pregnant. She was pregnant. Yeah. And it's live, you know, there's no editing. She was pregnant. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Wasn't a good time.
Starting point is 00:29:28 No. Maybe Lala should call Kristen. Mm-hmm. Valley, season two. So there's a topic that I know Kiki and I are both dying to pick your brain about, MJ, and that is your former classmate Eric Menendez. Oh, he's gonna be free. He's coming. We're gonna have him on the pod. Yeah. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Okay, so for those listening who maybe are not caught up to speed and have been clearly living under a rock, Eric and his brother Lyle were found guilty of murdering their parents, sentenced to life in jail without the possibility of parole back in what? 92-94? Long time ago. I was a child. Well now there's been the new Ryan Murphy anthology series, Monsters, that has just brought so much more attention to this case and the DA here in LA, that has just brought so much more attention to this case. And the DA here in LA, George Gascon, announced this past week that he is going to recommend
Starting point is 00:30:28 the brothers be resentenced. So now they're gonna go before a judge next month. And a lot of people are speculating that they could be released from jail by the end of this year. I saw Heather McDonald speculating that they're gonna be doing a podcast soon. She's like, watch out Kelsey brothers. But I'm like, low key, probably.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Literally said that on my podcast that came out today. That came out at midnight. And I said to Tommy, I was like, they're gonna have a podcast. It's gonna blow up. They're gonna be getting the brand deals of life. Oh my God, for sure. I mean, it's gonna be bigger than Scandival, potentially.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Oh, 100%. They're real killers that got mean, it's gonna be bigger than Scandible, potentially. Oh, 100%. They're real killers that got released, that are gonna get paroled. And hopefully, and I was talking about this on Meredith Lynch's podcast just yesterday, because this is all we're talking about, is hopefully that podcast, if they decide to do one,
Starting point is 00:31:17 will be to help others who maybe don't have access like they did, so that we can get some of these people who may be sitting there innocently or have harsher sentences than they should have get released. It does trip me out that first of all for the high school insight from since you guys were wanting to know really what happened he was a really quiet guy he was an athlete so he was like when you hear about people that tour they're so serious about their sport that they tour for their sports. Like, quiet. Didn't give any vibes at all.
Starting point is 00:31:50 So I think the child molestation that they were allegedly, just because why not say allegedly, but they were both abused by their dad, right? So that wasn't really taken seriously back when the case was in the media. And now it's like what's getting them out. So that's gonna be fascinating. Like you were saying. But like when they were arrested, when all this is going down
Starting point is 00:32:14 and these are your former classmates, like are you talking to other classmates? And like, what are you saying? Like you're like, oh my God, can you believe this is happening? Or like, what is everyone in your crew saying about this? No one of my friends coined it the nightmare on Elm Street because it is Street where they live is Elm Street. Yeah, that's right
Starting point is 00:32:34 yeah, but I thought that it happened in the summer so that there wasn't a lot of like No one knew them to the point where we could be like What is Lyle or I never knew Lyle, but like, what is Eric doing right now? I think it was like all very whispers in a community. Like, I can't believe that somebody would hurt their parents. Like, wow.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Just tragic, obviously, because I personally think, do you take your mom down with your dad? Yeah. And also like, did she? Did she know? Did she know and didn't her sister come and testify recently and have the kids back?
Starting point is 00:33:18 And did sometimes the moms, they side with the parent rather than defending the kid? Which is heavy shit. Yeah. Do you have high school group chats? Like are you still other than obviously Reza, but do you keep in touch with anyone from high school? I feel like my high school friends are more of like a party of two. Like I don't have like the group chat that that does sound really nice. Yeah. Yeah, that nostalgic to you? I do actually. That's really cool.
Starting point is 00:33:47 I'm out, what, 22 years now? Jesus. But you're not that far away from your hometown, right? So that kind of makes it easier. Yeah, for sure. I know a lot of us do keep in touch. So in Monsters also, there's an insinuation about Eric's sexuality.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Was that something you were surprised to see? Is that something that was ever talked about in high school? I think that Ryan Murphy got it wrong. And I think he's just trying to make it sexy. To me, it was like he was trying to make it soft porn because the guys in LA County jail were like naked and there was these shower scenes, steamy shower scenes. And like, that's not how you are even allowed to take a shower in jail.
Starting point is 00:34:35 So no, I think it was totally self-indulgent of Ryan Murphy to do that. Because Eric, did he date in high school or was he just like, he was just the sports guy that was quiet and wasn't a big dater? Yeah, I didn't see him dating in high school. OK, I like I don't think he had any girls in high school. Like maybe he dated. He was like the type who would date outside of school.
Starting point is 00:34:59 He was the type who would date like an older woman that was not even 18 years old. Which is interesting interesting because again, with this whole maybe was he looking for a mother figure to protect him because he didn't have one at home? You can get into the psychology of so much of it. Yeah, he seems more like that type. And then also because he didn't have a social life, he didn't have a strong bond with anyone,
Starting point is 00:35:22 he didn't have like a crew in high school. And so because of that, you usually find those things outside. Yeah. For sure. So sad. I know. Did you feel the verdict on their second trial was right? Cause the first one was a mistrial, right?
Starting point is 00:35:36 It was a hung jury, yeah. And even the jurors said like, if they had wanted to find guilty, they wanted to find guilty of manslaughter at the most. But then the second trial, they excluded a lot of the evidence around the molestation. And so I think, when I'm asked, do you think they should be free?
Starting point is 00:35:55 Is it right that they should go free? I'm like, well, I just think it's more about, did they get a fair trial? And I just don't think that second trial was fair. And I don't think they were taken seriously with the things they were saying about their father. And I just don't think that second trial was fair. And I don't think they were taken seriously with the things they were saying about their father. And I just don't think that would happen today, but it was a different time.
Starting point is 00:36:10 So different. In the moment, because they went out and bought really nice things like Porsches and Rolexes, they wanted to spend the money right away. So that's what made them get life without the possibility of parole because it fell under the special circumstances of greed and getting an inheritance.
Starting point is 00:36:26 So that's why they did not do a good for themselves in that moment of like, what did you do? Like Scott Peterson, like what did he do after he his wife was missing? Like all the things he did was like sexting with his mistress and doing things that was like, OK, that's why the public opinion thinks that you're guilty. Yeah. Right. What do we think is going to happen here?
Starting point is 00:36:51 And what do you think if they do get released, their lives are gonna look like? No joke, podcasts, brand deals, fame. A lot of women that wanna feel like their Captain Saboho are gonna be, they're gonna be boot up,'re going to be at strip clubs, are going to be sponsoring them for appearances. I'm telling you, Cardi B will be giving him a lap dance.
Starting point is 00:37:11 100%. I think they're going to be a cultural phenomenon free as all three of us. Well, they're both married. So like, I would hope that they would, you know, those women did stand beside them all those years. So hopefully they stand beside them. I'm glad they're obviously more mature than Gypsy Rose, would, you know, those women did stand beside them all those years. So hopefully they stand beside them.
Starting point is 00:37:25 I'm glad they're obviously more mature than Gypsy Rose, let's say, because I think her getting out was like, it's kind of been like a weird disaster. People have turned on her. I think they're more mature from what I understand. They were model prisoners, even, you know, they never got into trouble. They were doing good things while they were in there. And so one of them is doing like helping elderly fun, like, no, they're really doing big things while they were in there. And so... One of them is doing, like, helping elderly, fun. Like, no, they're really doing big things and...
Starting point is 00:37:48 But when they get out, they're probably gonna dump those wives and get, like, hotter, younger ones. ALL LAUGH Move to Utah, have a hair on. Salt Lake City will have them on the next season. Do you think Lyle will, uh, you know, go to Turkey and get the hair transplant? I mean, he was very...
Starting point is 00:38:03 It seemed like he was very concerned about his hair and those monsters I don't know if that was real. Wait, what's he wearing? Well, you said you didn't know Why would they make that such a big part of the story if it weren't true, yeah That was a wild if that was not accurate that see this is what we all want to know How they're gonna step against Ryan Murphy's thing? Like I'm not trying to drag Ryan Murphy, but those things don't seem accurate at all. Yeah, I want to know about the toupee and I want to know, like, if that Milly Van Nelly song was really played at the, like, memorial.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Yeah, probably, because it was a hot song. It was. How do you think Eric would be received at, like, a future high school reunion? If you guys have it. On a chair like a bar mitzvah. With a pimp cup. Well, I know Eric Menendez wasn't your only infamous classmate, right? You also went to school with Reza.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Monica Lewinsky. no, exactly. That's where I'm going with this, because I mean, through the scandal of the Menendez trial, then, you know, the late 90s hit and yeah, Monica Lewinsky was in the news, another one of your classmates. So did you know her well back in the day? So we had drama class together. That's so wild. It is. And see, this is another thing.
Starting point is 00:39:25 These are people that didn't have a strong friend group in school. They weren't really accepted in, like, the popular group. But they're, like, it was half Persian, half, like, regular, you know, other white folks or whatever we want to say. And then if you didn't have, like, your own mini, like, your drama group. And I didn't really see
Starting point is 00:39:46 like that she fit in much like Eric, I didn't see her having like an identity strong in friends. And I think that's what happens when you have to invest in your life outside. Because at that time, no one would have a relationship with an old man that was the president. No one would even want to have a relationship with someone that was outside of our age range.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah. You know, like if you're 16, 17 is old. Yeah. 18, there's a reason why, you know, it's not legal. So when she, I feel like started her life when she got her internship in DC and then just got lost in it. And if she had a more balanced adolescence,
Starting point is 00:40:34 I don't think she would have gotten sucked into that thing with like being friends with Linda Tripp, that much, much older woman who worked in the White House. She would have had like friends that were her age to keep her grounded. Yeah. Mercedes is like the teenage whisperer. I know, right?
Starting point is 00:40:51 So crazy. Was that shocking when all of that stuff came out with Monica? So shocking and so far away from, I was like, why? This is not a normal life. She didn't get to have a shot at a normal life. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:06 What were your feelings about how her scandal played out? Do you think it might have been different if, say, it occurred two decades later, like post, you know, Me Too? I mean, what she shared with Come On Address and the way that her coworker outed her was always going to be a huge scandal. You know, and I think it was, it's always going to be bad if the president is someone that we can't trust because who he is at home very much matters to us.
Starting point is 00:41:39 And that's why I think that your brand needs to be cohesive all the way across the board. You should be a good guy. You shouldn't be allowed to take advantage of young women. I mean, everyone will be intimidated by someone like Bill Clinton. Everyone said that he was so mad and had like charisma. So I mean, I don't like the sound of doing
Starting point is 00:42:05 something to like a White House intern. Yeah. Well I feel like I know you have your podcast till the dirt but I think you need another podcast that's like Beverly Hills High co-hosted with Monica and Eric when he gets out. Call me Eric. Are there any other notable people you went to high school with? Angelina Jolie? What? Yeah, what was she like? Also an outsider, very pretty, very plain, like kind of like a alternative chick. Interesting. Anyone cool you went to high school? No, not at all. Same. What town do you hail from?
Starting point is 00:42:46 Oh my god, if I tell that, I don't want anyone to know. Oh shit. She's like the most famous. Autonomous. Don't say it. Fun stuff. Your book photos. Mine are Googleable. It's terrifying. Oh god. Okay. Switching gears. Back to Bravo.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Have you both been watching Real Housewives of Orange County this season? Obviously I know Kiki has been. Appointment TV. Yes. Yes ma'am. Do you think there's any hope for Tamra and Shannon and should there be? I think there should be. There shouldn't be any hope for Jesus Juggs. She's so mean. Agreed. I think that it's really nice to see someone with such mean intentions to not be embraced by the public. But I just think Tamra and everything that she's going through, it's she treated Orange County like a soap opera. And she really hurt Shannon Bedor and Shannon doesn't operate that way.
Starting point is 00:43:38 And I know Shannon well enough to know that she conducts herself as if this show is also real life. Mm-hmm. Tamra doesn't do that. And therefore, Tamra is in her current situation. Yeah. Yeah. I was at first I was like, oh, I want everyone to come back, even Jesus jugs. But then after watching these last few episodes with London, I was kind of like,
Starting point is 00:44:00 oh, you know what? You don't really need her. It's it's they're still giving. But I do think Tamra should come back because I know people don't want need her. It's they're still giving. But I do think Tamara should come back because I know people don't want her to. But I think that you need a villain. I do think you need a villain. And I also think that when you have a friendship like Tamara and Vicki and Shannon,
Starting point is 00:44:15 I don't really think it ever goes away. I think it does. It's like ebbs and flows. But I just don't think it ever is fully over. She should have like the biggest learning lesson of her life. She should be hopefully humble to be the one to genuinely apologize for this time to Vicki as well. Because Vicki Gunvalson deserves the authentic.
Starting point is 00:44:37 Because what I got from Tamara is that she just kind of threw him out to pasture. And that hopefully, Tamara, if she agrees, she will change that. Yeah. I was talking to a friend. I think Tamara has really impulsive, like she just does things impulsively.
Starting point is 00:44:54 And I don't think it's actually calculated to people. I think she just like does shit, and then she's like, oh, fuck. Yeah, that like privileged white lady in Orange County. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Well, you brought up Vicki, and I just saw this morning actually that she had opened up on VICE's The Dark Side of reality TV.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Did either of you see that? No. I saw the clip, but not the full, yeah. Okay. So just all about the trauma surrounding her mother's death while filming Real Housewives of Orange County and how she found out. So she was filming when her mom passed away. There was a scene where she's playing Bunko
Starting point is 00:45:30 at Shannon's house. Her family was trying to reach her, but couldn't get through. She wasn't on her phone. You know, she's filming. Her daughter Brianna finally got a hold of production and Vicki said that production waited an hour after knowing this before moving Vicki into
Starting point is 00:45:46 Shannon's wrapping paper room where they had the lights and cameras all set up for her to learn this news on camera. Vicki said she felt production was obviously out of line. They should have taken her aside and said, you know, your mom has passed. Talk to your daughter off camera. And Vicki said, you know, if she was a producer, that's what she would have done and she'll never be able to forgive Bravo for this. So on one hand, it's like, I see, you know, you sign up to show your life, the good, the bad, the ugly and all of that, but it's like with reality TV, I do still feel like there
Starting point is 00:46:18 needs to be a line drawn. Yeah. But it's like, what is that line? Well, my dad, my dad passed away while we were filming and they didn't tell me, but everybody knew because it was like he was on his deathbed. And I think that when you're doing TV for as long as Vicky has and as long as we have
Starting point is 00:46:40 that the lines become blurred. I've always felt protected by my producers. I feel like they've always had my back. And I don't know what reflection Vicki is having now, but like, did her daughter tell her while the cameras were rolling? Because her daughter had to be the person to tell her, right? She was trying to get a hold of her,
Starting point is 00:47:06 but Vicki, I guess, didn't have her phone or didn't answer because she was filming. I mean, I just think that I need more information before I say anything that's going to sound messed up. I think it was more setting up a scene for her to take the phone call. Had Vicki seen in scene while she's playing Bunko. Hold on, sorry, my daughter keeps calling me, let me answer, and then they got it.
Starting point is 00:47:29 That's just, that's part of your life. That is what you signed up for. But the whole lighting the scene and setting it up to be like, take a call with your daughter. Yeah, because what it sounded like was Brianna was trying to reach her, and so she got through the producers and she's like, no, you need to let me talk to your mother. And they were like, okay, hold on.
Starting point is 00:47:44 They go set it up. They bring Vicky in and then they're like, here's a phone, talk to your daughter. So that's what it sounded like what's happened, which is like, ugh. And... And it was many years ago. I remember seeing her reaction and saying like,
Starting point is 00:47:58 my mom died, my mom died. I mean, this is awful. Yeah, I just rewatched it. I think like ByWig Hello Drama posted the whole scene and I was like, oh God, this is awful. Yeah. I just rewatched it. I think like, BiWig Hello Drama posted the whole scene, and I was like, oh, God, this was way more gut-wrenching than I remember, yeah. Yeah. Now we're gonna have to go back
Starting point is 00:48:12 and see all of it all over again. Yeah. I know. Because you can't hear a story that important, and then just talk about it out of both sides of your mouth. Yeah. Me, no, to self. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Throughout all of your years on reality TV, was there ever anything you felt like shouldn't have been filmed or crossed a personal line with you or someone else on your cast? There's so many things coming to mind. Yeah. Yeah. You know, there was one thing that was, it wasn't a line that was crossed, but when my dad wasn't well, I think that I was not also in a good place with Golnessa. And that was one of the times that hurt for both of us was that she wanted to be there
Starting point is 00:49:02 and I was still like unable to deal with both at the same time. There's a moment that I'll never forget the first time I saw her it was like the day after my father passed away and or maybe it was the day the next day and she was like hi like nothing matters right like we're good like I'm sorry for your loss and I just kind of like glossed over her because I was still like, we're not in a good place. So that would have probably been like one of the things. But I mean, there are so many things to go back in a decade.
Starting point is 00:49:37 So many. With Reza, there were so many things that I'm sure he would have wanted to redo from the, from the, you know. Oh God, I remember there were times I wanted to reach that screen and grab Reza's neck and just like, strangle him for you. Screaming at her. Oof.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Yeah. I think those are more like Reza's things that maybe I would have rather reacted to more like intensely, but I also like didn't know how to defend myself. Well, that's what I was like, cause I felt like, again, not to go back to this whole Bravo account drama, but I feel like sometimes people do things to you, but you're so kind of just like, yeah, you just kind of like don't react how maybe you want to react in that, in that situation. And then you go back and reflect on it later and be like, and you're like, that was really
Starting point is 00:50:21 messed up. Yeah, I'm not good. I hope that if I'm ever on TV again, that I stand up for myself in a really strong way. Because what if I'm still the exact same person and that bitch does not stand up and defend herself, then that would not be fun. Well, I feel like traitors, you defended yourself. You just kind of look her out of cards.
Starting point is 00:50:40 But also like shocked. And you're like, wait, I'm I very much stand behind the way I conducted myself on traders so that is great but like it is a combination of like I can be mean but I don't know if I want to because yeah we're so similar in that yeah yeah you are too yeah and I, that's why I like to cheer you on because I'm like you could go low. Mm-hmm. But you don't want to. I always take the high road.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Yeah, like I could cut low but I don't want to. Yeah. No. But that doesn't make it TV. Yeah, I know, right? Speaking of traitors, when we were flying back from Taylor Swift this weekend, have y'all ever played the card game Mafia? Uh-uh. Okay, so it's like you have a narrator, you pass out the cards, the two
Starting point is 00:51:29 people have aces, are the mafia, they have to murder someone, then you can also play like a different version where you have like the nurse who saves someone, the detective, blah blah blah. Anyways, the first time I was a villager and you have to figure out who's the killer. Then the second round we play, I'm mafia. And I was like, oh my God, if I am ever on traitors, please, please, please make me a faithful. I would be the worst traitor ever. I was like, they saw right through me.
Starting point is 00:51:54 They're like, it's her. I'm like, and they're like, you're on trial. Defend yourself. And I'm like, I wouldn't kill the person who invited me here. I was like, I'm so bad at this. I am not a good liar. I can't do it. Trust me, they won't make you a killer.
Starting point is 00:52:08 I would be a faithful for sure. They know what they're doing over there. Shout out Studio Lambert. Right? No. I love that show. I can't wait to see next season. And I remember texting you from the airplane saying, like, Sheena, you and I were on the leak,
Starting point is 00:52:20 the cast leak when they were like leaking who was gonna be on. And Teddy had texted me about it too because Tamara was gonna be there. That's right. But I don't know, maybe in the future. I don't know. Yeah, it'll be fun, I promise.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Wait, was Brandi, was she on first season? Yeah. Yeah, she was, okay. Yes. So did either of you see her tweet yesterday? Oh yeah, I get notifications for Brandi tweets. I need to have those on. Notifications, bing. Yes. Oh yeah, I get notifications for brandy tweets. I knew that. Notifications, bing.
Starting point is 00:52:46 So for those watching the video, we can pop it up. But for those listening, she said, Happy Sunday Funday. It's been almost two years now since a lying, short, red-haired, closeted, old lesbian ruined my life. Girl, lean into the three rainbow emojis. It's a beautiful space. When you come out to your family, we will be able to finally speak their own obvious truths. When you come out, your family will be able
Starting point is 00:53:15 to finally speak their own obvious truths. So. That their mother was a lesbian in the closet all these years. Okay, so whenever I see Carolyn at BravoCon, I love her. I never, ever, ever, ever have thought Carolyn is in the closet about anything. This is a moment where I think she gives us so much wisdom and she has this prowess and this mama hen vibe that I personally just don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:47 You know that I will speculate all day long on what I think is right, wrong, or truth or lies. But when it comes to Brandi and when I saw that tweet, all I thought was that the same attorney, Garagos, who's defending the Menendez brothers, apparently dropped Brandi as counsel. So I just, I feel like she doesn't have a case and that is why it got dropped.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Isn't Garagos also Raquel's attorney against Bravo? I mean, he was, but then I saw another thing that it was like Brian Friedman's, I don't know if she switched, but I know that Garagos was at one point, yeah. Crazy, it's like all roads truly do come back to Bravo. Yeah. And then I saw Vicki said on My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast this week
Starting point is 00:54:32 that Caroline has got some explaining to do to her husband if this does air because she suggested that whatever happened between Brandi and Caroline was consensual and said the truth will come out if the show comes out. Otherwise, it's he said she said and then she goes or she said she said. between Brandi and Caroline was consensual and said the truth will come out if the show comes out. Otherwise it's he said, she said, and then she goes, or she said, she said. I do think that it was, I think word on the street is that it was consensual.
Starting point is 00:54:55 And that it was like- That she just needs to own it and not make Brandi out to be this freak, she had said. I have heard that from reliable sources that it was just like having regret. Like next day, like I'm sober. What is everyone at home gonna, yeah. Like what is everyone at home gonna think if they see this?
Starting point is 00:55:14 It does feel a lot like Brandi is getting thrown under the bus. And because she's not the perfect victim, right? Like in the Johnny Depp Amber Heard, we learned a lot about like people just like, if you're not the perfect victim, it's kind of like, oh, it's really easy, we're just not gonna believe anything you say.
Starting point is 00:55:28 And she's like, no, but they were egging me on. This is what production wanted. And they're just like, oh, whatever. Yeah, and wasn't Vicki there on that trip? Was she? I don't remember, because I'm like the cast, I don't even know who was on the cast. She was on the cast, okay?
Starting point is 00:55:41 I think so. I think so. Okay. And then I guess, Timer commented on social media on a clip and she was on the cast, okay? I think so, I think so. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's why. And then I guess Tamra commented on social media on a clip and said, that's funny because Vicky was sending me pictures saying otherwise. Oh, shut up Tamra.
Starting point is 00:55:52 So wait, but what pictures would she have been sending? Right. So confused. I don't know, it's like, there's- Is it pictures? It's a lot. Like scratch marks? Like a screwdriver in the bathroom? I know, right? But I feel like by Vicky posting that, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:07 it just gives more credence to Brandi with, you know, saying that it was consensual and that... It sounded like a lot of the cast was initially, I don't know if they still are, were initially on Brandi's side in all of this. You know, I don't really know. I mean, I know people have their other issues with Caroline because of her whole, her family, or Dina, there was issues. And so I think there's just like kind of like
Starting point is 00:56:31 already people kind of don't like her already. So I don't know. What is the connection between Dina Manzo, who's, what was it, her ex-husband just got convicted of putting a hit on her and her current husband. So what is Carolyn's connection with that? So like both sisters married two brothers. So it was like they were however that works.
Starting point is 00:56:56 And that ex-husband is the one that tried to put a hit on Dina and her new husband. And it was like two situations. One, it was like he got hit in the parking lot. He got his knee taken out. But then one was like a home invasion and both of them were beaten up in their home in Malibu. Yeah, I believe so. Or what was it when they were in Jersey and then they moved to Malibu?
Starting point is 00:57:18 I think it was here. OK, so yeah. And so it was that home invasion. And then they found out that he had hired a hit man. That hit man then did go to prison. But now he's been convicted for a conspiracy. Basically, he was the one that was involved. And I think they even use like, Brownstone, their like, wedding venue.
Starting point is 00:57:35 They said like, do this and we'll give you like, credits at the venue for events or something like that. Okay, so, okay, that sounds farfetched. But that's the reason why they're bringing it back to Carolyn because Caroline, just by merely being related that's what I'm asking. Well then she also, Caroline wrote a letter to the court in defense of Tommy's character and so essentially you know chose the side of her sister's abuser over her own sister. Yeah and I know Dina's daughter also, like, made a post.
Starting point is 00:58:06 I don't know where it was, but it was circulating of, like, she's also very upset with Caroline and, like, the way she's hurt their family. So, you know. But, I mean, all that to say is, like, I don't know if that's why they're defending Brandi, or if it's just because they legitimately believe Brandi, right? You know who else defends their mom
Starting point is 00:58:23 when they probably shouldn't is Theresa's daughters. You know, like if you're if I would, though, I would defend my mom no matter what. Yeah. Yeah. And so it doesn't mean that like in the also related to Caroline Manzo and all. It's just that when you are in this situation, you've got to do what you've got to do. And I just didn't know what the connection was, why it went all the way back to Caroline. Yeah. But... Wild.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Wild. Okay, now I'm saving the most controversial topic for last. Let's go. So spooky season is coming to a close. When does the Christmas season officially start? Because everyone feels differently. The day after Thanksgiving. Before.
Starting point is 00:59:08 No! The Wednesday before. No! The Wednesday before. Have your tree up for turkey dinner. Oh my god. See, I'm like, so I'm a Thanksgiving baby. So like I always feel like, and Thanksgiving is a moving, you know, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:23 But I'm always feeling like, stop ignoring Thanksgiving. Like we deserve our holiday. Make Thanksgiving prettier. Why not have the tree for Thanksgiving? I did that last year for the first time. I loved having the decorations for Thanksgiving. We had a mix of fall, but then we had the Christmas and it was just more decor.
Starting point is 00:59:38 It was so much prettier to have Thanksgiving with your tree. It's so much nicer to wake up the next day, eat some more ham, and then put the tree, we don't have a real tree ever, so we're putting it together in the thing. Which is all the more reason to have it early, because as a real estate agent, I will tell you for your safety of your home,
Starting point is 00:59:59 you shouldn't have a dead tree, right? Because then it can burn up your house. Yeah, I had one catch on fire once. Outside of the house we had like tossed it out the window and then someone threw a cigarette off the balcony and I see down in the alley my Christmas tree was on fire. I ran down the hallway I was like what do they do in the movies? I bust open the fire extinguisher with my elbow couldn't use my arm for like a week after that. Don't know how I knew how to use a fire extinguisher. Put the fire out. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Amazing. It was crazy. So that is your cortisol, like your fight or flight. Just jumping in. I was going to say whenever people have a Christmas tree, all you have to do is water it, but we just forget. And when you're looking at your tree drying out, you don't see it drying out. It's just happening underneath that bed skirt. Yeah. So since we're talking about Christmas, I think you've been outvoted. The tree goes up ASAP and your tree is fake. So is mine. And that's all the more reason.
Starting point is 01:00:56 I'd also like to shout out transitional pillows, like bring out all the rust colors and all of the mustard yellows and the goldens. I like that. Like take off those striped pillows and all that summer should be gone. You guys have multiple pillows for your couch? A rotating seasonal. I do have Christmas pillows for my couch. Very adult of you.
Starting point is 01:01:15 I need to get some fall ones now that I have another home. Yeah, you can go to like Home Goods. And that way like when spring comes around, you're like zhuzhing it back into spring. But when winter comes around you're like judging it back into spring But when winter comes you have the excuses like keeps things fresh. Yeah, because we have monotonous lives I Decided now that I bought a new home and it's just it's too big for me to decorate on my own A friend of mine Ashley. She has a company that decorates. And so she came over, she did like the whole quote of like,
Starting point is 01:01:48 this is how much it's gonna cost if we do the whole house. And I was like, ooh, maybe we don't garland the staircase for an extra $2,400. That's right. You know, I was like, so we're doing the living room, some stuff in the kitchen. And then, well, I guess we kind of have two living rooms. We have like the entry room and then the living room.
Starting point is 01:02:03 But she's coming over on November 14th to decorate and I was like, is that too soon? But I'm like, you know what? We only have it once a year Yeah for summer to come home from school that day and have the house all decorated. It's gonna be so fun I love that. Are you like a stickler like are you like, okay, I want the professional decoration That's it. Or are you still gonna let summer do like the string popcorn and like we're doing one tree ourselves Okay, so she's doing the entry room tree and that whole room. And then our like technical living room where we watch TV, that tree that I already have, Summer and I will decorate.
Starting point is 01:02:34 And she'll do all of the stuff on like the entertainment center and do the little nativity. I'll let her do all of that. Which means the ornaments are all on the bottom half. Yeah. The top is empty. I know, I'm like, honey, we gotta step it up. No, so, so true.
Starting point is 01:02:48 They say, let the kid do it wrong. At least they're doing it. Yeah, and then after she goes to bed, then I like, my OCD just moves them all. My kid will remember. He'll be like, who moved that over? She does, she does too. And I'm like, wait, that's so weird.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Let me put it back. Who did that? My windows right now with the Halloween stickers. It is my exposure therapy. Halloween is not spelled correctly. She just put all the letters in different spaces. There's a ghost here, a skeleton half here. I'm like, it's fine, it's fine.
Starting point is 01:03:16 It'll be down soon, just a few more days. I love it. But anyway. Well, it's good for you. It is a good exercise. Yes, it is good exposure therapy. And to wrap this up, oh, go ahead. No, I just, I never heard about the term exposure therapy.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Is that like exposing you to things that are gonna get under your skin? Yeah, and just things that make you, it's exposure response prevention. It's like a type of therapy that helps with OCD, exposing yourself to things that you're either afraid of or that bother you and just a way to work through it to be like, oh, okay, yeah, that that window without all the stickers perfectly, it bothers me, but you know what? It's fine.
Starting point is 01:03:51 It's not the end of the world and it's okay. I can deal with it. I follow more than 420 people now. That was the first step into exposure therapy. I took Summer to Disneyland by myself. That was something I was terrified to do. What if she chokes? What if this? What if she gets it? Like all of the things. But I'm like I just got to do it. And now I'm like oh where do you want to fly to? Like just us, you know? But Brock did bring up a good point and he was like do we travel with the life vac all the time? And I said you know what? When she was a baby we did but now I haven't done that and he just heard a story about parents who lost their child on a plane because the kid choked
Starting point is 01:04:27 And so I'm like life back that's fine. That makes sense Yeah, but I just I got so good with not worrying about her choking every second of every day that I'm like I stopped traveling with it. I saw one in the car and one in every house But when we go to Hawaii in a couple months, I'm like, yes, that will be in the suitcase. Absolutely. That's preparation. Totally. Yeah, just in case, you know. You're doing great, sweetie. Thank you. All right to wrap this up something very important for all of you listening in the US who is of voting age.
