Scheananigans with Scheana Shay - Tomfoolery & Turtle Turners with Tom Schwartz

Episode Date: July 24, 2026

This week, Scheana welcomes back her friend & VPR castmate Tom Schwartz for a conversation that's equal parts hilarious, nostalgic, and unexpectedly heartfelt. The two look back on nearly... 20 years of friendship, from the chaos of “Vanderpump Rules” to life after Bravo, and dive into everything happening on “The Valley.” Tom opens up about his relationship with Kiana, where things stand with Katie after their divorce, and why he's approaching friendships—and boundaries—very differently these days. They also tackle the hot topics surrounding his friends Jax and Sandoval, debate the biggest pot stirrers and peacemakers on “The Valley,” and Tom reveals who he believes is the season's most misunderstood cast member, a pick Scheana calls a major hot take. Plus, hear behind-the-scenes stories from iconic Bravo moments, the last truly happy VPR cast trip, and the meme that still cracks Schwartz up every time he sees it. As always, things wrap up with the Jax-hole and Flowers of the Week, and trust us, you won't look at "turtle turners" the same way again. Follow us: @scheana @scheananigans Guest: @twschwa Purchase your very own copy of the NYT Best-selling book/audiobook MY GOOD SIDE at www.mygoodsidebook.com!Episode Sponsors:Find your nearest Ross at RossStores.com.Visit resortpass.com/scheana to get $20 off your first booking of $100 or more. Right now, podcast listeners can get an exclusive 20% off their first order at pendulumlife.com/GOODASGOLD.Please note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. From Vanderpump rules to motherhood and everywhere in between. Warm up the kettle. It's time to spill some tea. Let's get into some shenanigans with Shea Shea. No. And the next time I saw her, Brittany was like, please be nice. And I just looked at her.
Starting point is 00:00:43 And she was like, hi, Sheena. And I just gave her a hug. And I'm like, hi. She knew. She knew. I'm like, I know. I see who you are. My spidey senses are much better now.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Oh, God. So many women in my life came to me afterwards this. Like women who don't usually chime in and they're like, I had a feeling. Yeah. Oh, I knew it. I knew it was true. Yeah. I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Well, when we can talk about it, we will. Detox, retox. Is there an and in it? Yeah. Your podcast. Oh, no, just detox. Detox. What are you doing today?
Starting point is 00:01:12 What are we, are we detoxing, retoxing? I'm just introducing. You make me a drink? Are we going to do drugs? Let's do something freaky. Let's do some ayahuasca. Let me see what I have in my purse. That would be insane.
Starting point is 00:01:24 I wasn't with the river this weekend. Wait, what's that? Like Lake Havasu, Laughlin. Nice. Yeah. Cool. That's fun. Colorado River or the lake.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Because it's Lake Havasu, but then it's on the Colorado River. So it's a lake, but it's a river? I don't know the difference between a lake and a river, to be honest. You? Lake is a concentrated by, yeah. Does the river go to the ocean? Usually. Or spills out until a big lake.
Starting point is 00:01:50 And the lake is just its own. water. The Lake Havasu is on its own. It's not the Colorado River. What were you doing there? Anyway, I'm a family trip. I grew up doing that. You did? Yeah, I was a little river rat growing up. Wait, that's one thing that I never, like, I have such a great family. Like, I had such a good upbringing, but we never had any, like, family traditions. That was the one thing. And I'm like, I want summer to grow up the same way that I did having those moments with their cousins. And for the last 15 years, as you know, we worked every summer.
Starting point is 00:02:21 So I missed every family vacation. And then the first couple years, and she was a baby. And then one summer I was filming the Valley. And then last year was the first summer I was like off. But the same weekend that they were going, I was out of town for a work thing. So this was the first year I got to go on the family trip.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Since we started a teenager. Oh my God. Yeah. Wait, that's cool. I know. When I finally do start a family, I plan on having plenty of traditions.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Yes. I love that. We asked summer the other day, what's her favorite tradition? And she goes, what's that? And I was like, oh, no, we need to change this. You need to know what a tradition is. She's your little jihitsu warrior.
Starting point is 00:02:57 She is. Jiu Jitzu. Yeah. Well, we can just leave in all of this little pre-roll, but I will properly introduce you. I see on shenanigans because a few weeks ago, I got the chance to be a guest on detox, re-tops, finally, with my guest today.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And by the time we wrapped, though, I just felt like we still had so much left to talk about. It was so short. And it just made sense to have you join me here. Thank you. And we've known each other for what, 15, 20 years now, Schwartz? We've seen some shit. We've been to some shit.
Starting point is 00:03:31 We've done some shit. We have. Man. Yeah. But we're not jaded. No. Sometimes. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:03:38 I've learned about these terms called like depersonalization and de-realization. I've never, unfortunately, I've never really experienced these. Yeah. Like some, some, some, versions of like panic disorder or something but like where I'm going you've never experienced panic disorder anxiety yes my last body watched it documented in 4k that was my last real panic attack that's great 2014 pump I was ill prepared for the wave of people that came in that were very fucking thirsty yeah I've never seen needier eyes in my entire life and like I don't know I so that was a
Starting point is 00:04:13 weird moment I'm out where was I going with this I don't know oh sometimes now that The PR is like, it's been what? We last filmed in 2003. Yes. Right? Yeah, because then 20, no, 2024. Oh. Was season 11?
Starting point is 00:04:30 Oh, yeah, it was 2020. Because we filmed post-scandival. Yeah. And then the reunion, I guess we filmed 24. Yeah. Do you, we talked about this a little bit where we were sitting down. I was like, are you able to go back and watch without judging yourself or cringing? No.
Starting point is 00:04:47 It's too fresh still. Sometimes I'm like, did it even happen? Was that real? Was this a dream? No, yes. I know fever dream is almost like tired. It's like overused now. But like was it a happy.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Right. Fabulous fever dream? Because so much of it. It's a blur. I mean, such a blur. We had breakups, makeups, marriages, divorces, more marriages, friendships, feuds.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I mean, every kind of headline imaginable, that show, encapsulated? What's the word I'm looking for? No, we did it all. I think when I was doing a little mini, like, post-VPR nostalgia tour and hosting live events, which I like doing, they're cheesy, but they're so fun. It feels like a family reunion.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Totally. And I'm not really in the bars much anymore. Yeah. So I get that sense of community that I've been yearning for that I used to get every night at Schwartz and Sandys and Tom Tom. Yeah. But like, we broke it down and we were like, statistically speaking, VPR,
Starting point is 00:05:47 be the goat, as they say. I'm not saying it's the best reality show, but we had seven proposals. We had four weddings. So you're up to date on the VPR trivia. Well, because we have, me and you got married twice. Seven proposals? Seven proposals. Name them.
Starting point is 00:06:03 If you count. Name them. My God, it was so funny. I was a, well, I hadn't seen Tom much lately. We went to Craig's the other night for his birthday. I just wanted to check him with him. He's clearly been going through some shit. What?
Starting point is 00:06:15 You don't say. Tom and Jacks. You're friends, man. I know. Well, like, but he, listen, I wanted to check in with him, and he loves Craigs and wanted to go have dinner with him. But I, I walked in and I saw Sutton. I thought this was so funny because I love her.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah. She flew back with me on the plane from BravoCon, her and Jennifer. Oh, yeah. You were right next to me. I was there. And we had a sip of tequila before we got on the plane. But I walked in. I was like, something, what's up?
Starting point is 00:06:40 And she's like, hi. I was like, you look fabulous. And I started telling her what she was doing. I was like, I'm having dinner with Tom, blah, blah. She looked at me and she goes, I don't know what any of that means, darling, and just walked away. She doesn't watch anything. She has no. I was like, for a second, I felt like we were friends.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Right. Oh, she has, she knows me, but she really doesn't know our world. No, not at all. Certainly doesn't know who Tom Sandoval is. Yeah. It was so funny. And she just walked away and like in the sweet way, not in a catty way at all. It was so funny and iconic.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Yeah. And it was like such a housewife move. I love that. Seven proposals? Oh, yeah. Seven proposals. You got, so you got married twice. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I got married twice. And then. Jackson, Brittany, well. Okay, Jackson, proposal. Who I think ironically are getting divorced today. And then. I'm counting five proposals. Then we had five proposed.
Starting point is 00:07:25 No, no, seven. You got to count Lala and Ray. You didn't propose twice. Randall didn't propose on camera. But it still counts. Oh, well, your meaning in life. Richella, Randall, you twice, me once. Me twice.
Starting point is 00:07:40 There's seven. I did the math. Somebody fact check us. Okay. Oh yeah Stasi and Bo Oh Sassi and Bo Yep Yeah
Starting point is 00:07:48 And then and then What else did we have? We had three divorces Like this is These are insane stats for a TV show Yeah We had two ass tattoos Wait three divorces?
Starting point is 00:07:58 We had two bars, three bars Wait Me and you Did you get it Me and Tom got ass tattoos I did not get an ass tattoo This is not Not yet
Starting point is 00:08:10 But no I would never say that It's the greatest reality show ever. Statistically, we're up there. Yeah, I mean, I was the bootleg Kardashian of Vanderpump Rules. I will wear that honor proudly. We were talking about, like, who was I talking to the other day? I was talking with Bryce from E.T.
Starting point is 00:08:31 I love Bryce. And we're just like, all the best stories come at such a great human cost. And it's like, you know, there is, it's unfortunate that Toledo usually has to bleed. That was our conclusion of that conversation. Shout out to Bryce. I love Bryce. I like sitting down with him. I do too.
Starting point is 00:08:48 He's like such a. Yeah. And he'll, yeah, he'll give you soft balls, but then he's pretty good at slipping in the heavy hitting questions too. How does it feel to be the number one Tom? You mean the best of the worst? Someone said that to me the other day. I was at, well, I hosted Tom Tom, Tom brunch on Saturday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 And she's like, Schuetti. She's older. She's like, Schweritsy, you're the best of the worst. And I'm like, oh, thanks. I appreciate it. Thank you, I think. I'll take it. Yeah, I don't, I'm certainly not the number one guy in the group.
Starting point is 00:09:20 I don't know if that's... Who would you say is the number one guy in the group on the Valley? Oh, the valley. Hmm. Yeah, the show that you're on. Probably Zach. Okay, I like that. Yeah, Zach's my guy.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah. Zach was so my, like, we didn't cover a lot of it while we were filming. By the way, I had one of the best years of my life. I don't know how much it translated on camera. And I had a beer belly. I saw myself in Mexico. I was like, Kiana's like, Schwarzie. you have reverse body dysmorphia.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Because I felt like I looked sexy in Mexico, especially when I had like my goth look going. I was like over the top. But I was like kind of feeling myself. And I saw, I was like, oh my God, I have a bit of a beer belly.
Starting point is 00:09:58 And I thought I looked good. Can we talk about the white face makeup that you did? What were we going for there? By the way, I was not subconsciously channeling Katie. I don't know that I believe that. No. Everyone's like psychoanalyzing me.
Starting point is 00:10:13 You definitely internalize. her style. I'm like, no, you guys. I just never went through a goth phase and I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I don't know, I, I, I don't really know what the inspiration for that was. I just freestyle and I just, kind of, I designed from the heart. Gotcha. From inside out. And I think I failed in spectacular. That trip was, when were we finishing the makeup? I know there was drama and stuff. I know there was, And there was, there was some very intense moments, but I literally laughed that entire trip. Good. And I was the sickest I've ever been on TV that trip. Really? Like I actually, you know, I can always rally.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I'm a pretty good drinker. But I think it was a combination of heat, drinking, and just eating questionable food. Totally. Yeah. Yeah. I had such a good year on the Valley. That's good. I had such a good year, period.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Yeah. Like, it was so peaceful. I love that. And upbeat. And I traveled a lot, fell in love. Oh. Some people never fall in love. That's true.
Starting point is 00:11:15 I'm so lucky and I'm so happy and grateful right now. I'm in a good place. Is it show? It does. It does show. Yes. You're glowing. Really?
Starting point is 00:11:25 I feel all glowy. I love it. Sparkly. Is this the first time you've been on the podcast since the divorce episode? Remember when we did that podcast and it didn't go over well with everybody? No. I got so much backlash for that. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 00:11:40 We did it in my, the, oh, God. I'm blashbacks. That was the saddest post-divorce. It was like the ultimate cliche. I think when we did it, my TV was still on the floor. It was, Schwartz. It was the saddest post-marriage bachelor pad of all time. It really was.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I was like we've got to do something with this place. It looked like a set designer came in there and said, let's make this look like the saddest, most depressing apartment for a man. Yeah. Who just got divorced and sold his house. And they did an incredible job. That's exactly what it. It looked like.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Okay. But I feel like now, you know, just from what we see on social media and just from what I know, you and Katie have become somewhat of a blueprint for navigating divorce with, like, respect and compassion. You got the dogs you share. You love her boyfriend. He's awesome. He's literally a rock star. Have you seen a Sleeping Miss Iron show yet?
Starting point is 00:12:33 No, I want to go. Saturday, Warp Tour. What? Are you going? Yeah. Are you serious? Yeah, I'm serious. Is it in San Diego?
Starting point is 00:12:40 Long Beach. Oh, I'm going to be in Florida. Oh. I'm going to Florida with Kiana. Damn. Wait, I would totally go. I don't think that would be weird. No, he's so, by the way, he's like one of the coolest guys.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Every time I see him, he's so genuine. He always dabs me up, checks in. He's just such a great soul. And he's freaking rock star. So good. Literal rock star. I'm happy for them, yeah. Is there anything about divorce that surprised you or something that no one really
Starting point is 00:13:06 prepared you for? Well, I think having been surrounded by it my whole life my god i've bared witness to so many divorces i just i've seen the dark side of like the fallout how bitter and contentious it can get people going for the jugular and it just turns their whole life's upside down i just like i knew from a very young age i was like i never want to experience that yeah and yeah man i was i think i think during our divorce i was like we were probably never model husband and wife but maybe we could be modeled divorcees and i think I think you are.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Maybe we were. We're always cordial, respectful. Yeah, you know, and we have a good, happy, healthy rapport boundaries, of course. Like, we're not besties or anything. But like, always happy. Is it better now?
Starting point is 00:13:53 Yes, way better. And I'm always, like, super happy to see her succeeding. How Sastasi's coming out soon. I know. I saw the preview yesterday. The trailer looks so good. It looks so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:04 And it's FOI and Jenna. And, yeah, I'm really excited. Yeah. But do you make any appearances? Is that allowed? I don't know. So when they first, when they shot the pilot, they shot it at Stasi and Bo's beautiful home up in the hills.
Starting point is 00:14:19 And I was there. I didn't contribute much, but I was there hanging out with everyone. There's a blurred face in the background. Yeah. Bravo does not allow. Yeah. There's, I think, I don't understand. I think Bravo and Hulu have, not beef, but.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I mean, Lisa's on both networks. She is. Yeah. Are you watching Vanderpump Villa? No. Oh, forget you guys. that was a genuine question. I wasn't being sorry.
Starting point is 00:14:43 I forget that your band from every bander pump establishment. I had to do a cameo last night. They're like, we're doing our bachelorette party at the Vanderpump Hotel. And I was like, I totally meet you there, but apparently I'm banned. That was so funny, by the way. I love Lisa. I know you guys have had a complicated friendship and not a falling out, but it's, is it more catty? Or is it actually?
Starting point is 00:15:03 No, the thing is, had she actually read the book, I said so many kind things about her. I just talked about my experience. And if that makes her look bad, that's on her. That's not on me. The way I was treated, that is my experience and that's my truth. I wasn't trying to bash her in any way. But I'm like, how am I going to write a memoir about my life and this decade plus that I spent on a reality show and not talk about my experience? Once again, I'm exposed for not reading your book.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Oh, God. No, but listen, I'll always kiss the ring. I love Lisa. so I'll continue to kiss ass because I love and respect her, but I, yes, you got to live your truth and I'm glad you spoke it. Thank you. I'll go back and reread that chapter. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Perfect. But your book crushed though, right? It was a new Times bestseller. Yeah, the audio book as well. So you can just listen to it and hear my voice for like six, seven hours. I don't want to turn this into my interview to you, but like, did you have, did you regret some, like if you could take out any passage in hindsight. Is there one?
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yeah. None. Really? I would have put more in. Ooh, the conviction. Yeah. I respect that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:11 No, I honestly, I would have said more probably had I known that this is where I was going to be a year after it came out. I think I could have gone more in depth. But one day I will write another book. Yeah. And we'll just save it for that. I will definitely read that one. Listen, I've bought everyone's book. They're all in my office.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Look, that's the support we need, okay? You know enough. If we ordered every Bravo book there is. But you missed the Schwartz chapter about the Vegas kiss. Oh, God. It's okay. We'll get into that on the podcast. No, let's not get into that.
Starting point is 00:16:45 We'll take a break and we'll be right back. Okay, do you guys ever finish lunch and find yourself just reaching for a snack an hour later? Okay, so by the time you go back to school, summer has basically made you a completely different person. And I'm talking about summer this season, not summer my daughter, although she can make you a completely different person too. I feel like it's really when you develop your own sense of style for the new school year. You know, what's in, what's out, people's fashion, especially the kids these days. It changes as quick as the seasons. You know, maybe there was something cute at summer camp that Summer saw one of the girls wearing. And she's like, oh my gosh, mom, can I get something like this?
Starting point is 00:18:58 Or your kids grow out of their shoes so quick. If you're a parent, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I am constantly buying summer new shoes. And that's why I love going to Ross. Ross has everything you need this school year. They have everything in store. Ross has your style for it at 20 to 60% off other retailers prices. So for every kid's searching for their own style,
Starting point is 00:19:26 Ross makes it easy to find. And for kids, it's the ideal place to explore styles and help them get ready to start a new school year with new friends and a new school year with new friends in a new class. Like, I vividly remember my mom taking me back to school shopping. It was one of my favorite days of the year. It's like not Christmas, but it feels like Christmas.
Starting point is 00:19:45 And we would always go to Ross. There was one right across the street from us where we grew up. And I still, to this day, love going to Ross. I've got an artwork there. I mean, they have everything. But literally everything for back to school shopping from dorm room decorations, kids school supplies and clothes for everyone. And you can find.
Starting point is 00:20:04 your local Ross at ross stores.com. In a world of ever-changing wellness trends and information, what does it mean to truly be well? Think of well as your go-to resource for all of the latest in wellness and me as a
Starting point is 00:20:34 your internet bestie. New episodes drop every Wednesday. Hope to see you there. Okay. So before we get into things that are a little more serious, I thought would start off with a little rapid fire game covering season three of the Valley. As long as it's not Fuck Mary Kill. No.
Starting point is 00:20:54 We could do that, though. No. Do we do that? I've done with those. Wala, Michelle, Janet. I've been asked that like 20 times. No, that's not on mine. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:21:03 We're going to do a superlatives game. Let's do it. Okay. Biggest potter. In the history of Bravo? No, on the Valley, season three. Just stick with what's right now? Probably.
Starting point is 00:21:18 I mean, Lala's so good at it, but she's also valid. So I don't think it makes her a potter. I think she's just addressing things that need to be. Biggest potster? I don't know. Certainly not me. Biggest peacemaker. Well, it used to be me, but I don't know if I've let that part of me go.
Starting point is 00:21:35 I still like to be a bridge. I think so. I like to bring people together. Yeah. Especially if I think their relationships worth fighting for, their friendship. It's just, it's innate in me. I'd like to do that. I do, I do love to see everyone get along as boring as it can be.
Starting point is 00:21:51 I guess. But it's not boring. Brittany's one too. I agree. I was going to say, I think you and Brittany are the only two people genuinely who could bring everyone on the show together. That's sweet. Maybe Jasmine. Jasmine's pretty good at it too.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Yeah. Yeah. Doty's pretty dang diplomatic these days too. Yeah, but she's not having Janet and Nia sit at the same table. That's true. You know, you could have that, Brittany and I think Jasmine. You know what? I'll take the title.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Yeah, perfect. Most misunderstood cast member. Most misunderstood. Well, wow, that's dangerous to say. I don't know. Just given this season and this season. This season, probably Danny. Okay. Is that controversial?
Starting point is 00:22:37 I think so much. That's a hot take. There's so much more to his character. And I'm certainly not crying at it because the camera doesn't lie. And if I didn't know Danny watching this season, I would think he's probably a kind of a douche. Yeah. But I've gotten to know Danny on a deeper level. There's so much. I've known him for like 20 years.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Yeah. You know he's a complex, a great human being. And I don't have a, he doesn't look great this season. And I certainly don't play me. I know you've never had a moment where you've drunkenly snapped at your wife. Never. I would never. Yeah, I would probably say, Danny.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Okay. Kind of along those same lines. But who do you think gets the worst edit this season? I never like crying edit. It just feels so cheap. Okay. And it always feels like a backhanded jab at the editors. No, I get that.
Starting point is 00:23:25 I don't like saying that anymore. It's not Bree Dellinger working on your show. It feels very amateur to cry editing these days. I don't know. If you signed up to do the show, you roll with it. And yeah. Uh-huh. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:37 I don't know. Who's the funniest when cameras aren't rolling? Zach. Yeah. He's on and off. He's just always on. Zach is the same exact person. He's on camera as he is off.
Starting point is 00:23:49 But like when he gets on a roll and he's locked in, especially about something that he's passionate or fired up about. Yeah. I love when he gets activated and he's a little drunky. Yeah. Not like junkie, but just like he's had like maybe three drinks and he's activated. Totally. And he has some of the best, like, rants, diatribes ever.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Yeah. And I love it. And he was just, I don't know, he's been, he's been like so supportive of me through some of my darker moments. Yeah. Coming out of, you know what. No, he's a good one. He texts me this morning.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Happy Book Aversary. And it was a picture of me, him and Jasmine at my first book event a year ago today. I think him and Doty are in New York. I don't know if they're doing watch what happens or if they're hanging out or traveling. But I saw it. Oh, wait. What's today? Tuesday?
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah. They're probably doing it tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yeah. That'll be a good duo. Yeah. By the way, one of the great, great fringe benefits of getting to be on Bravo is doing, watch what happens live.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Literally, I would say that's probably what I miss the most. Yeah. How fun is it hopping on that plane flying out to new? First class. First class. Yeah. Like, first class, I think the first time I ever experienced a lay down seat was flying out. 100% for my first watch what happens live.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Yeah. And I was like, whoa, this is nice. And once you go lay flat, It's hard to go back. It is hard to go back, but I do go back. I do too. I don't care. When it's on my dime, I'm in coach.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Anywhere but the middle seat, as long as I'm not a middle seat, I'm happy. I'll sit anywhere. But like certain things, I will splurge. Like, man, I love JetBlue Mint. Food is so good. You guys, if you've never flown JetBlue Mint, the food's insane. It's chef-driven menus. What's the drink called?
Starting point is 00:25:25 The minty one? The mint. Yeah. Oh my gosh. What is it called? It's worth a splurge once in a while. It's been a minute since I've flown. Well, there's times where you.
Starting point is 00:25:32 But it's gin, cucumber. Yes. It's so good. There's times where you can get a first class lay flat from New York to L.A. or vice versa for not that much more than a coach seat. And if you've never splurged, I'm when I highly recommend it. Yeah. It's really nice.
Starting point is 00:25:44 It is good. Who never breaks character? I like that question. Probably Lala. What do you mean? Never breaks character? Well, she did. No, to me, Lala, I know you guys.
Starting point is 00:26:02 that wasn't a day because I don't know if you guys I don't know where you stand right now. We don't talk. We stand far away. See, I always, that's a, that's a friendship. We're not going to get into it. But that's a friendship I'm willing to fight for. I think you guys could be great together again.
Starting point is 00:26:16 But not right now. We'll put a pin in it. To me, she's always been, like, she's, first of all, I don't want this to be like reductive because she's a beautiful, rich, complex human being. But like, she's always been a bit of a character, like an over the top. Actually, I do.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Okay, I get what you're saying. She's like a larger than life. Because she makes herself the character of Lala Kent. Yeah. Not Lauren. She has like an alter ego. I was friends with Lauren. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:41 But she's like one of my favorite, like when she's activated, she's one of my favorite characters. Does that make sense? Sure. Yeah. Another hot take. Who is most likely to text you after an episode airs? Hmm.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Probably. Kristen Doty. Yeah. She's even texted me. Yeah. Or like when she can. gets the episode. He's like, you said.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I was like, well, what I meant was. I'm loving this era as Kristen as a mom. Like she's really like coming. As hard as a time that she's having, it's so fucking real. And that's what I love that this show is showing that Vanderpump totally drop the ball on. Well, it's, well, I don't think, no one had kids on Vanderpump. Wait, did we? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:26 I was home from the hospital for three fucking days. after almost dying and you didn't see a wink of it, but yeah, sure. I know. Sorry. That was borderline disrespectful. Because in my mind, it all happened everywhere all at once in a sense. It all feels like Banderpump happened all that once. Sorry, you did have that moment and I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Who else had, wait. Who owes you an apology? Well, you owe me one right now. Yeah. I'm going to go home and I'm going to read your book and listen to the audio book. Yeah, you have a six-hour flight to Florida. I do. You can listen to the whole audio book on your flight.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Okay. That's an interesting question. Let me put some thought into it. I'm not good at the rapid fire. This should have been like a five minutes. It should have been, but yeah, it's now 20 minutes of the podcast. I think I owe myself an apology because I was really hard on myself, even though I had one of the best years of my life in terms of just love and happiness and a new found sense of peace. I felt liberated from a lot of old darkness in my past few years. but I think I want myself an apology. That was my next question. I was also my harshest critic, too. I wasn't super happy with the way I presented myself some of the time. Yeah. Watching back, I'm like, bro, come on, dude.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Right. Like getting sloppy like he used to. But I was just so happy. I don't know. It felt like a dream, honestly. Yeah. If you could relive one moment from the season and do it differently, what would you do? On the third day, which I think was Danny's birthday before we left,
Starting point is 00:28:57 went to meet. I just got so sick. And I like did I like checked out of society the entire day. And we went to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen in my entire life. It was a little slice of heaven. And I feel like it was borderline disrespectful, not really like indulging in it and savoring the moment. Like will I ever be back there? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:16 I think so. It was heavenly. And I yeah, I kind of dropped the ball. That part of Mexico, I think is one of my favorites. Oh, Sierra Leit. When we did the Puerto Varta trip. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:27 That was like our last happy cat. trip together. Probably was. I think it was season seven. Season was it? Maybe eight. I don't know. I just remember I was single.
Starting point is 00:29:37 The one were the one were. And I like sent a like thirst trap to Adam and he like didn't respond. And I was like double tap, heart it, like it, something. You had probably the most wild arc on the show of anyone. Really? In terms of how much life you experienced. You were rich with life experience. I mean.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I know. I went through so many different seasons of life. Like crazy. Yeah. My God. I know. 26 to 39. That's insane. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:11 That's why I was just like, let me take a break. Yeah. I'm like, you guys. You talk about this. I think it was a great, a great move. Yeah. Not only for your family. For your marriage.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Yeah. Yeah. You'll be back. You'll always be back. You never left. But people love you. Thanks. Most people.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Yeah. In person, everyone loves me. Yeah. Online, different story. In my travels, I've been traveling a lot. People are we going to see Sheena back on our TVs. And online, they're like, how will this affect Sheena? I know.
Starting point is 00:30:43 We talked about this team. Has anyone checked on Sheena? My favorite meme to ever come out of Bravo. And I still think my favorite song to ever come out of Bravo, I told you this, good as gold. Yeah. Yeah. For most people, it's at least top three. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Bryce was telling me one of the OGs from OSHAs from OS see what's her song. Forget how it goes. But what's your favorite? What's your favorite Bravo song of all time? Aside from your body of work. Ooh. Honestly, anything Lisa Barlow,
Starting point is 00:31:12 I've been using the baby gorgeous song for some Instagram stories. I just, I love her so much. But then you have like Shamiya and Candice who like actually are singers and have incredible music as well. That's a whole different. And you're like, Countess, you know, and... Money can't play class.
Starting point is 00:31:32 Erica Jane, I mean, it's expensive to be me. There's so many. She's crushing. Good ones. But good as gold is definitely up there. Good as gold is way up there. I didn't, wait, Lisa Barlow has music? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:43 She does? It's literally a song on Instagram that you can choose. Baby gorgeous. Do you guys know about this? Wait, I want to hear it. By the way. Yeah, she has Christmas songs. I was at BravoCon and she met my girlfriend and she looks to me.
Starting point is 00:31:56 She goes, Schwarzie, you better not fuck. this off. Don't fuck it up. And I was like, I won't. Anyways. Good. Okay. So still kind of, it's not the rapid fire anymore, but still kind of sticking on that theme. If the Valley gets another season, which we know it will, what would you hope is different? Personally, my ask, fired. Nobody. I'm just kidding. That's such a scary question. Ask Tom Schwartz. I just had my almost my second anxiety tax since 2014. You're like I'm out of here? Yeah. I would like to see more of my aspirational nature. It's like I just, yeah, highlight some things I'm working on.
Starting point is 00:32:32 But like, who would I like to see on the cast and off the cast? Or what are you saying? Just like, what would you hope is different? Like, I do think that you and Lala joining the show as main characters felt more friend of. And I didn't like that for you because I didn't feel like we were getting much of your life. You were just kind of there with everyone else, you know? I mean, listen, I was so happy to be there. I had the best time ever.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I don't want to complain. Yeah, that was me season two. I had so much fun. I was like, oh, just there. No one's talking about me or my shit. Like, it's great. Yeah. But I would like to see more of that.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Yeah, I would like to see. Yeah, I'd like to see more of your relationship. You know, we got like a glimpse of her so far. I don't know if people want to see that. I don't know. Why wouldn't we? I don't know, but it's beautiful and I'm so happy in love. And I'm just like, we have such a great dynamic.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Yeah, I want to see more of that. And she's so effing funny too. Like I would watch a show with just her on it. She should have a podcast for sure. Yeah. But she's her stream of consciousness is so good. And if she showed, like, if she was the way she is when it's just me and her hanging out, she'd be a superstar. I love that.
Starting point is 00:33:33 She's hilarious. Yeah. I would like to see more Keanu. I don't know if she would even be down to film, to be honest. She's very happy and content in her career. She has no desire to be famous. Yeah. Like at all.
Starting point is 00:33:46 She's just, she likes her privacy. She's very successful. But I would love to see more Keanu. Yeah. Selfishly. Is there anyone, you don't have to say me just because I'm sitting here, but is there anyone you'd like to see, join the cast. Of course I would like to see you.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I'm serious. I think you're great. You're like, I think you coming back was so polarizing on the internet before. It was met with such mixed reviews. Yeah. But I would love to see you back on TV,
Starting point is 00:34:12 honestly, and let's explore where you and Brock are at and where you're at with summer and just, yeah, you're, listen, you're iconic. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:20 You're my friend, but I can step outside of our friendship and be like, okay, give you the credit you deserve. You're iconic. Thank you. You're great TV. You are.
Starting point is 00:34:28 You're so fun to watch. Thanks. Keep going. You are. I love watching you. You were made for TV. Thank you. I'll be back on TV.
Starting point is 00:34:38 I hope so. TVD. What show? Yeah. Rumors about Jacks returning or Tom Sandoval joining. Would you welcome that? And what do you? I have no saying that. I think people know this.
Starting point is 00:34:50 The audience is smart. But would you want that? I mean, the cast is big enough. But like if we got some of their story, about the shit that they have been going through this past year. In light of some of the things they've been going through, it's pretty dark. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I don't know. I don't know if, like, we can both agree that they've made great television. Oh, 100%. Some of the best, like, reality television stars ever. Yeah. At great cost to some other people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:16 But of course, I would like to see them back on TV in some capacity on the Valley. I don't know if it's the right fit. Yeah. I don't know. I think, I don't know if it. I don't know if he'd be good for Jacks to come back for his own. Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Yeah. I don't know. I don't know either. And Tom's, yes, I don't know. Tom, every time he does a show,
Starting point is 00:35:38 he's so good on it. Did you watch him on Traders? I did. Oh, of course. He's like, he goes so good. He goes so above and beyond.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Like he gets fully lost in the sauce and fully reverse. I'll never forget the lullaby reverse singing thing that he took so seriously. Yeah, yeah. Well, I'll just say, I hope to see them back on TV in some capacity. But I think right now, maybe it's better to lay low for a little. How have the last few months affected your relationship with each of them?
Starting point is 00:36:07 I don't see, honestly, I don't see tax that much. And obviously, in light of some recent revelations, it's put a strain on it for sure to say the least. Yeah, with both of them. And Tom, yeah, that's such a dark, unfortunate situation. I just, like I said, I was talking with Bryce on ET. I was like, I just want them to not escalate. Feels like it's escalating. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:30 I don't want them to go to war. I wish they could just like, listen. Just go your separate ways. Things got messy. No one needs a restraining order. Just like you go your way. You go your way. The lease is in your name.
Starting point is 00:36:41 I'll move here. Just like go your separate ways. Why do we have to do all this legal shit? Yes. And just expend your precious life force on like going to battle. And I just, I don't know. I fear it's escalating. I hope it doesn't though.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah. I really hope they can just. not hug it out, but find peace. I know you've said that, I mean, obviously you are incredibly loyal sometimes to a fault. But do you ever say to like a Tom or a Jack's type of friend? Like, I love you, but I think you're wrong. And do you ever feel like you supporting them is also enabling? Yeah, I mean, the lines do get blurred inevitably because I am a bit of an empath and I'm compassionate.
Starting point is 00:37:22 And I like to try to be constructive when someone's fucked up and made a horrible life. mistake but it gets to a point sometimes and i've taken healthy breaks i feel like i have such healthy boundaries now i'm in i took i really do i feel like i have i'm very protective of my piece now so i actually feel like i'm better equipped than ever to actually maybe hear them out without enabling which i probably did in the past you know what oh everybody makes mistakes like i used to kind of just i'm just firmer with my boundaries now yeah is that okay to answer totally do you Do you feel like you've seen growth in either of them, though, since VPR? Mm.
Starting point is 00:38:01 This could be a two. This could be, yeah. I mean I didn't mean like that. You're like, I think, yes, yes. I don't know if I want to get into the specifics, but like, obviously we're happy that Jackson's focus on the sobriety and stuff. Has he changed that much? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Do you think there's anything either of them could do that they haven't already done that would permanently end your friendship with them? I don't want to go down that dark. that dark rabbit hole listen I want I I want to see them like be happy and and and in a positive direction yeah and be fulfilled and find love professionally personally even if so a lot of people like fuck them they don't deserve it I still want to like I remember we were friends for like 16 years no I know they were like my brothers they were my L.A. family yeah so I don't want to say anything
Starting point is 00:38:49 too bad about but it's like there's obviously a lot of fucked up stuff going on right now seriously Why we had a show for so long. Oh, God. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We'll take another break. I'll let you.
Starting point is 00:39:02 Yeah. The seat was getting hot. The seat was getting hot. Cool it off and we'll be right back before it gets hotter. Okay. It's now time where I need to talk to you all about resort pass again because I feel like us moms recently on a play date unlocked something big and I don't gatekeep. So I want to share it with you. So you know how we're always talking about how it feels like.
Starting point is 00:39:25 you know, you need to give yourself permission to rest or that you have to earn it somehow. Well, this year, we're changing that. And resort pass is making it easy for us to actually do just that. So get this. This is the concept. Resort pass gives you access to luxury hotel pools, spas, and cabanas for the day. No overnight stay. No membership.
Starting point is 00:39:45 You just book it. And passes start as low as $25. And then, boom, you are poolside for the day. That's genuinely the whole thing. There's no more need for booking an overnight stay or having to go to a loud day party just to enjoy a pool with a great view. This makes taking a much needed and much deserved, might I add, break so incredibly easy. I'm honestly thinking about all of the ways I can use it this summer when my summer is in summer camp. See how many times I can say summer in one sentence.
Starting point is 00:40:22 But seriously, like a girls' day, a family day, maybe when she's not in Tampa, or just a solo reset day. I have been dreaming about doing this. And the moms and I are like, all right, let's put it on the books. It takes no more than five minutes and they even have same-day bookings. They work directly with over 2,500 hotels and resorts to provide you with the same luxury hospitality that you would experience as an overnight guest. And what I really love about this is it doesn't require a life overhaul, months of planning. It's just one day to completely relax and get back to you. Visit resort pass.com slash Sheena to get $20 off your first booking of $100 or more.
Starting point is 00:41:09 That's R-E-S-O-R-T-P-A-S-S dot com slash S-C-H-E-A-N-A for $20 off. Resort Pass, the day is yours. Enough. old news. Yeah. Because I want to talk about you today. Not too much, though. Not too much you today?
Starting point is 00:41:30 No, I don't like talking about myself. I don't. You're on a podcast. I know. Do you want to talk about you? Do you want to talk about Jacks? I'm talking about you. No, I want to talk about you and Keanu a little more.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Yeah. Because we don't get a ton of that on the show. Yeah. Have you guys had discussions? of what your future looks like and if she would feel more marriage, family. Like, what does the next five years look like for you too? We have, but I don't want to speak for her. I would have rather let her speak her truth.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Okay. So, yeah, I just don't feel comfortable talking about that. If she was here, I would be so open to that. Okay, so next time we'll bring her. Yeah. Oh, my God. She would be an amazing podcast guest. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:18 She has such an amazing life story. And yeah, she's just one of my favorite human beings ever. How did you two meet? We met at Schwartz and Sandy's actually. Okay. She actually popped in the night. The night we closed. The second.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Oh, at Schwartz and Sandy's now because you met the last girlfriend at Tom Tom, right? Yes. We met the second to last night at Schwartz and Sandys. Then we were friends for a while. Yeah. And at the time she was spending more time in New York. Yeah. And then eventually we reconnected.
Starting point is 00:42:46 And then, yeah, sparks flew. And it's been fucking awesome. How long have you guys been together now? I think just over 10 months. Nice. Yeah. We've been traveling a lot together. We're literally going to Florida in the morning.
Starting point is 00:42:59 That's great. So is she living here? Does she kind of split her time? She does. She's by coastal, but she's probably like in New York 30% of the time. Okay. She spends probably 70% of the time in L.A., which I'm very happy about.
Starting point is 00:43:15 But we just got back from New York together, actually. I went up and she was shooting in Newfoundland, which I love. Oh, yeah. I saw that. It looked beautiful. Oh my God. Yes. It was such a cool photo shoot. And I fell madly in love with the city.
Starting point is 00:43:26 And yeah, man. Every time I go to New York, LA is amazing when we're here. We spend way more time in L.A., but every time I'm in New York with her, I'm like, it feels like a movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:36 It's so cool. I feel so lucky every, like, it's so corny, but I feel so. No, I love that. I love seeing you this happy. It's cute. Thanks, Gina.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I just feel lucky. I'm so happy when I'm with her. Yeah. And it's still new and exciting. Still feels very honeymoon. phase. Yeah. Of course we have our days, but you know, everyone. I mean, everyone does. Yeah, everyone does. But yeah, I'm happy. What is your favorite thing to do with her? Sweet, sweet, nothing. That and traveling. Yeah. We travel well together. We really do.
Starting point is 00:44:06 That's good. That's important. We travel well together. And honestly, yeah, just like our little quiet nights out going dinner in the valley. Maybe black market liquor bar. I was going to say favorite restaurant in the valley probably honestly black market liquor bar okay that's my little gem yeah my little you ever go there i used to with my ex you did which one forever ago rob rob yeah do you ever talk to rob yeah you do yeah i talk to most of my exes yeah you got you have good friendship with your exes i do i talk to she the other day you did yeah how is she he's good my god yeah you should say hi i will i'll check in on him yeah sometimes i miss shay i'm like i wonder what he's not too. He seems like he's got a solid life. Yeah. Miss Shea. Shea, if you ever hear this or see this.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Hi. That makes me happy that you're still friends with him though. Yeah. It really does. I mean, we had so much history before the relationship. You know, we went to high school together. I cheered at his football games and you learned a lot from that relationship, even though it didn't work out in the end. Yeah. And there was like way more good than bad, right? Yeah. I think so. Yeah. And I mean, it definitely helped me learn just more about myself and what I should put up with, what I shouldn't put up with. And yeah, you know, it was a great starter marriage. Totally.
Starting point is 00:45:27 You know? That's fair. Yeah. Okay. Well, to wrap this up, we always do Flowers of the Week and a Jack's Hole. Last week, it was, of course, none other than Jax Taylor. But this week, do you have anyone you would like to give flowers to and name this week's Jax's hole? Hmm.
Starting point is 00:45:53 Flowers too. Ariana got him last week for her Emmy nomination. I know. She's on every freaking billboard and bus stop in the valley. Literally. I watched this season of Love Island. Did you? It was great.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Yeah. I'll give my flowers to Bryson Trinity. Okay. I think they won it. I don't know. Did I get the names right? I saw them paparazzi outside of Craigs and they looked so happy. Wait, really?
Starting point is 00:46:17 Oh, cute. I think they won it. Okay. I'm pretty sure. I wish I could commit five nights a week to watching it. Oh, I didn't watch every episode. But that's the thing is I can't watch a show half-ass. If I'm watching it, I'm watching it from the beginning in every single episode.
Starting point is 00:46:32 And it's so much. So I keep up on socials. Trinity, yeah, Trinney and Bryce. Okay. Flowers to them. They get my flowers and my... Love that. Cool.
Starting point is 00:46:39 is probably, hmm. You set me up. I mean, I've done this one before, but it's an epidemic in the valley. People who turtle turners, people. Turtle turners? Too long to turn right. Oh, I'm like, I literally just pictured someone taking a turtle
Starting point is 00:47:03 and turning it on its back. And I'm like, there was the turtle racing on the west side. What is the turtle turning? There's not a lot that gets me upset at this point in my life. I feel like a great sense of peace and happiness. But when people take too long to turn right, man, it just really sends me over the edge. Yeah. I feel like I'm going to snap one of these days.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Okay. Yeah. Turtle turners. Sorry to be. Love it. So loud. So dumb. Well, thank you for being here.
