All right, y'all, welcome to the Scott Horton Show.
I'm the director of the Libertarian Institute, editorial director of anti-war.com, author of the book,
Fool's Aaron, Time to End the War in Afghanistan, and the brand new, enough already, time to end the war on terrorism.
And I've recorded more the 5,500 interviews since 2000.
almost all on foreign policy and all available for you at scothorton.4 you can sign up the podcast feed there and the full interview archive is also available at youtube.com slash scott horton's show
hey guys on the line this would be a short one because i got a hard stop coming up here quick but i got a new
twitter friend his name is aric horowitz he's an israeli jew and he's been sending me videos and commentary
the past few days here, insisting on a ceasefire.
And, Aarik, I noticed in your video that you sent me this morning, you look like a veteran.
You want to start with telling us a little bit about your background and who you are?
I would love to, but I don't think now it's like relevant.
You know, what's most important now is everyone to understand that with one action
demanding ceasefire, we can stop all the cassifference.
scared of domino effect that will take place if Israel will invade Gaza like an
elephant in like a bull in a China shop like they plan to so you know to do
that I made a video explaining showing exactly what's going on on the ground now
not on your TV or what you hear or whatever right now I'm as I'm speaking from
Bersheva 30 miles from Gaza we just had a siren this is like normal time for us so no need
there are no Hamas fighters storming the the border no one is like afraid here of course
there's tension but it's not like security emergency so things as they are now can
continue continue for a while
So we need to push for not end the war.
This will not happen.
But if we buy a little bit more time, things in Israel will cool down because people are hurt.
And the last thing they really want is a total regional war, which Gaza is only the Pellud, the first act, once it.
And this will begin, Hezbollah, then Iran, Iraq, all the rest, the Houthis from the south.
Of course, Israel is with the, as explained in the video, Israel is not alone.
So all the coalition of Arab states, and we know the result.
After all the mess, there will be peace.
This is what happened in 73, this is what happened in Oslo.
So, we can now actually skip the war because there is no need to escalate.
We need to deal with Hamas.
It can be dealt later in a more gentle, sophisticated, like we know already how to do it.
Can you explain what you mean by that?
Well, if you want to get into how Hamas was created,
and it's actually...
Well, just about how to take care of them going forward other than the full-scale invasion.
We know everyone there.
If we want to take them, we can take them like we did with the terrorist of the 72 hostage
in the Olympics.
We took them 10 years later because we were so good at it, you know.
So militarily, it's not the...
They present it as the only option, which, of course, obviously, it's not.
Hamas is only a small fraction of Gaza, which is a small fraction of the whole Palestinian civilians.
They are lumped everyone together.
Hamas is Gaza.
Gaza is Palestine.
So we need to kill all of them.
It's nonsense.
I mean, it's built on the shock.
It's built on the vengeance, but it's not rational thinking.
Okay, we take all of the Palestinians, and then what?
And then what?
And we know how to land.
So I understand from where it's coming from.
After all the year that was here, the society was divided.
Suddenly, everyone is rallying to the flag, united to kill the Arabs.
Okay, this is nonsense.
So all we need to buy more time.
This is why the most important thing is to flood this message.
We understand Israel, we know you want, okay, but we need to ceasefire, we need to take care
of the people in Gaza now.
We have people in Israel that are not taking care of because everyone is war, war, war.
But we got communities that were hurt, not only individuals.
So it's a massive challenge.
So it's in the benefit of everyone.
no one can see it because you know blood is very hot now so that's all I'm saying and you
know I've been listening to you all these years actually I started after Charlottesville and what
you did is put everything in perspective because what we got is oh no the Nazis are taking
over America look what they did and you thought hey guys it's only what 50 guys 100 guys
it's a problem but let's not carry on like they did so this is what i'm trying to do i'm here
i can see the facts on the ground i am tuned to the media to social networks i can sense however
however i can where we are going and so far we did an invade and it's a good sign so
thank you for everything you're doing over there it's very important because
As you know, your American support will definitely be a factor here.
Hang on just one second.
Hey, y'all, the audio book of my book, Enough Already.
Timed and the War on Terrorism is finally done.

Tom Woods'
Liberty Classroom,
real history,
real economics,
real education.
Well, listen,
I can't tell you
how much I appreciate
you coming on the show
even for just these
few minutes to talk with us today.
Can you tell me
what your
estimate is
of Israeli public opinion
right now?
I mean, the land invasion
has been delayed.
Is that because of public opinion?
I'm sorry?
The land invasion
has been
delayed. Is that because of public opinion or
international opinion? In spite of.
I see. Look, you know the political
landscape a little bit. There are
leftists here. Pro-Palestinians and stuff like.
They are now talking about leveling at Gaza,
leaving no one alive there. This is how far we've gone.
In public opinion.
Okay? So that's the overall consensus.
Yeah, yeah. No doubt. And people I talk to
Look, it's like you have the Ben Shapiro types here that want war no matter what.
They know the price and they are willing to pay it.
But there are people that have simply carried away with the wave.
They are emotionally hurt.
They are pumped all the day, Israel at war, Israel at war, even though there is no effect
of the rockets, the sirens, they're popping twice three times a day. It's simply mind game.
You know, they're manufacturing consent in like two weeks, what they did in two years in Iraq.
So everything is condensed, compounded. So, but still, we're not in. We could invade it like two days ago.
Everything was ready. Yeah. But there are hostages.
not only ours, the Americans, other nationalities,
invasion will doom them.
So, Arik, what you're telling me is,
what you're saying is that despite the fact
that Hamas was able to break out
and commit this atrocity back a week and a half ago,
they're locked in tight now,
and the Israeli Jews are not in danger from them now
other than the hostages.
It's like weco, man, it's like weco.
Right?
If they didn't breach in, what would happen?
We don't know.
but what could happen?
But here it's Gaza.
It's, what, two million people?
We cannot bridge in.
It's nonsense.
No one wants it.
We were just talking about peace with Saudi.
It will delay at least a few years.
For what?
So if the government will see there is another voice, massive,
as we can hey relax there's another option sees fire that's it don't complicate it's not political
it's not historical doesn't matter how we gather right now facts on on the ground we can stable
as this situation take care of what we need and take care of hummus no problem if the object is
Hamas war is not the means to achieve it that's it should be very simple because they tried to
look what they did in 48 no look what it has no relevance nothing for the
facts on the ground as there if it was like 73 if the Israelis didn't react and
the forces were keep and marching toward the Israel it's one thing where's Hamas right
so relax that's it I hope I was coherent enough yeah
Well, listen, Arik, I'm sorry to cut you short, but I really do have to go.
But thank you so much for your time on the show today.
It's really great to make your acquaintance here.
Yeah, likewise, and I'll keep you in touch.
Okay, great. Thank you again.
You know, it's what misses in the road, exactly in the same spot,
seeing the calamity approaching, and what can they do?
Write a book, but now we have what we have, the view.
All right, I'm sorry, I have to ask.
Are you any relation to Adam Horowitz from the Beastie Boys?
No, no.
Oh, that's too bad.
Horowitz is a very Ashkenazi common name.
I understand.
It was worth a shot.
All right.
Well, thank you, Ark.
Really appreciate it.
Bye, Scott.
