Starting point is 00:00:30 One of you is gonna have to talk first. I don't want to. Love? What? Want to tell me what happened? I do. I can tell you exactly what happened. Mind elaborating on that. I can tell you all about the events that happened and how, and why, easy-peasy.
Starting point is 00:01:02 We know what happened. But not too much about what happened. Right. That's good. that you know because upper management wants an explanation as to why none of this was properly recorded
Starting point is 00:01:16 so... We know why that is too. Whenever you're ready. Um... We were... No, shh! I'll tell it. It all started at 9 p.m. It was a lot later than 9.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Shut up, I'm telling it. It was 9 p.m. Okay, I have his back. Most people will probably be asleep by now, so we shouldn't have to... to worry about being heard or seen. Why is your room so much bigger than mine? It's not. I just don't have stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:48 It is bear in here. Let's get started. Basics. Sorry, buddy. I know you hated in there. What first? First, we need to make him a leash so we can prove he's tame and means no one any harm. I have rope. You have so much rope.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Let's get to time. Oh, uh, how are things? Things? I don't know. I'm just trying to make conversation. Things are fine. Good. What if we do it like this, under all his feet? I hung up a flower pot like that once. I didn't know you like plants. I don't. I just wanted to use my ropes. Oh. How's this? Oh, okay. Put him back on the ground. We need a leash, not a carrier.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Okay, dump truck. Go. Walk. A book more. We were in Radiger's room. What were you doing? Hanging out? I don't know. We're not barred from just being in each other's rooms now, are we? You are not.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Go on. So we're reminding our own business, researching dump truck, like you told me to. What kind of research? I am getting to that. Calm down. He's getting it! Dump truck, heel. Good boy!
Starting point is 00:03:20 I don't think it counts if you're lifting him off the ground. Yeah, but his feet stop moving. He understands. He understands. What else can you do? He can do lots. Watch. Sit.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Lay. Those look like the same... Shush. Good boy! What does speak do? Well, since he doesn't have a mouth, I trained him not to make any noise. He already doesn't make any noise. I know, and he's great at it.
Starting point is 00:03:53 He'll be awesome at stealth missions. He needs a motivator. Like treats? I already tried that. I don't think he likes food. Something else? Oh, what about particles? Particulate matter?
Starting point is 00:04:03 Yeah, sure. Is that safe? Please, I know how to follow procedure. So we were following procedure. Uh-huh. Just teaching him normal tricks like you teach any dog. Dogs have teeth, by the way. Dogs can bite.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Dump truck can't. So that's one way he's less dangerous. Yeah, I hear you. He has no mouth. I know. I've seen him. He was sitting just fine. Sitting, staying, the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I'm great at training dogs. But then we needed to go get something. Do we have enough dust? We don't need very much. Does it still do a dash one if you're not looking at it? What? Is it, is it like one of those things that only moves when you're not looking? No, it can move while you're looking.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Look, look, look! It's moving! Oh, that's so weird. Yeah. I've never seen one going so fast in person before. What about the spider blood in Harley's office? I guess I was there for that. But I wasn't... I wasn't really there for that. for that, you know?
Starting point is 00:05:07 Right. It's so fast! The little ones move fast. It'll be done in three minutes or so. That's it? Three minutes, 32 seconds usually. Wow, okay then. Come here, dump trunk. Where'd you go?
Starting point is 00:05:20 Under the chair. Come here, dump truck. Look at it. He's not doing anything. Hush. He's thinking. It's getting close to... Look, look, look!
Starting point is 00:05:38 Is he on it? No, he's just next to it. What's he doing? I don't know. Let me try something else. That's the fastest he's ever gone. He's just sitting by it again. Try somewhere else. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:59 It was going great. Dump truck can do more than one trick. Uh-huh. Yeah, he can. We wrote it all down, just like you asked. And you don't know how the tremor happened. Look at him go. He even goes right to it after I spin him around. Whoops.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Sure don't. We just hunkered down and we waited for whoever it was to clean it up, you know? No, I'm hurrying. Oh, hey, Radiger. It's late. Yeah, it sure is. I'm up past one all the time. I know.
Starting point is 00:06:49 What are you doing up this late? That was just work. Why are you acting so weird? I'm autistic. You know that's not what I mean. I mean, you are acting so shady. No, I'm not. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Hey. What are you doing? I'm so late. Seriously, I'm just, I'm just working. I'm burning the midnight oil. Why? I, yeah, I don't know. I guess I don't really have any deadlines or anything. No? Hey, did you feel that quake a few minutes ago? Okay, well, maybe it was just me.
Starting point is 00:07:28 It was just you. Okay, uh, well, good seeing you. I have to go, get my lighter. Why? It, uh, candles. Don't you hate smelly stuff? It's for love. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Yeah, I'll leave you to it then. No, not like... Okay, I do have to get back to work. I'll see you around. It's not for that. I got the lighter. Oh. I figured it out! You need to stop all those before they get completed. No, look. He detects them.
Starting point is 00:08:07 He knows where the dash ones are forming, and he goes and he sits next to the closest one. Watch! He's not a guard dog. bomb sniffer. We could use him to find dash ones that are too small for people to notice right away. Want to go test him out? I should clean all this up first. Right. What are we going to do about the one that's already done? We have to find something to blow it up.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Alcohol? That would work. I know where to get some. Hey, uh, on the way, do you want to test out some other ideas I have? Yes. Is he... He's about to pounce. A cold boy dump truck! I think it was already dead.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Or maybe just an exoskeleton. Well, it's definitely dead now. What's he doing with his foot? I think it's stuck to him. Oh, yeah. Oh, I think it's really stuck on there. Can you break pieces of it off? I think he's absorbing it?
Starting point is 00:09:19 Is that bad? I don't think so. It's... Oh, it's alive, it's alive! Well, it's dead now. Good boy. Boy, dump truck. Anything?
Starting point is 00:09:34 He's heavier than he looks. Is he improving or unimproving your balance? I can't tell. Don't let it fall. I don't think this will be enough. Have we checked Harley's office? No. Come on, my card gets me in there.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Why? I would rank him? I don't know. People, hide! They're coming. Dump truck, shush! Hey. Hey.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Is spray paint flammable? Here? Yeah, pour some out! That's nice! Look at your gold! Good boy, dump truck. He's growing on you, I can tell. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Okay, how do we do this? Shoot the paint through the lighter. How do we do this safely? Stand back. This isn't going to set off the fire alarm or anything, is it? I don't know. I've never set a fire in my dorm before. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Be careful. It should only take a little bit. Oh shit. Fuck! We got it. I think we're good. What's going on? All right, so just to reiterate,
Starting point is 00:11:26 you don't know how it happened. Nope. And you don't know what caused the tremor. Nope. I have confirmation that both of you were out last night. You might have avoided the hall cameras, but you didn't avoid Lancaster. So,
Starting point is 00:11:42 what were you two doing out so late? If I'm to believe you had nothing to do with this? We were... Um, we... We were making out. You were making out. Yep, just making out all over each other. All right, so if I checked both your rooms, I wouldn't see any burn marks.
Starting point is 00:12:06 No, because we put a rug over it. There it is. Oh, me. Shit. Uh-huh. All right, now look, I'm just going to tell containment that a dash one formed in your room before you could catch it, and you tried to deal with it by yourself. But you two need to be more careful about what you do with that dash too.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Everybody's going to find out eventually. It's not about that. It's about our lack of complete understanding. Like, we still don't know enough to just let him run around. So if you're going to test things on him, you need to start smaller. Okay, keep things rained in. Fine. You're not in trouble.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Well, you are. But I'm not taking him away or anything, so... Thanks. And I knew it was you. Neither of you are good liars. Hey, I'm... You're not. All right, go clean up the burn, and I'll talk to the others about putting a report in.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Thanks, Klein. I think it went well. Do you think the other surveillance people are going to narc on us? We avoided having them out in front of most of the cameras. But are they? Probably not. They're cool. Good. Why'd you say that?
Starting point is 00:13:16 Say what? That thing you said to Klein. About... Yeah. Um, I don't know. I was on the spot. I couldn't think of anything else. Oh.
Starting point is 00:13:32 And like, it wouldn't be that hard to believe. Hmm? Like, if we had to be undercover or something, together, I could see us. Together. Oh. Like, if I was somebody else looking at us, you know, I'd look at us and I'd be like, yeah, I could see it. Does that make sense?
Starting point is 00:13:54 Yeah. Are you smiling? What? I can hear it. No, I'm normal. I'm making a normal face. God, Klein is right. You're an awful liar.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Could you see that? See what? BC 116 just went dark. Which one is that? One of the psychology offices. Want me to run a new batteries? Yeah. All right, be right back.
