Cycle 9, day 3, 1135 p.m. 17.20. After 291 relative days. trapped inside 632's extra-dimensional space. After months without contact. Radio contact was established between Site 107 and Site 64. You can hear me. Really? Is this real?

You're actually Site 64. This isn't a joke. You'd better not be a prank. If this is engineering pulling something funny, I swear. It's not a joke. It's not a joke. You can hear me. Finally.

After 291 days. I've been trying to get through for so long. 291 days. Klein, we have contact. Don't shut up your quitting, they 101.7. Wasn't planning on it. You've made contact with what? With the outside.

I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, go tell everybody. Uh, c-h-h-h-hundred to 107. Please confirm your status. Stable. 91 survivors. We're all right. By my math you would have had 92. Roger 64. We uh...

We lost. We lost one. Coffee 107. I'm sorry for your loss. We appreciate that. Was that Dr. Lankaster in there with you? Yes, he was. Wait, how did you know that?

Oh, I heard him. But how did you know who it was? News of the established contact with the outside world spread quickly to the rest of the staff, as the sharing of information with Insight 107 has been largely declassified. Yup. I know. I'm on my way there now. I'm on my way there now.

Harley! Contact? Harley. What? What do you need? Contact? Careful. Finally getting out of here.

Isn't that great? What? What happened? Harley made contact. He's talking to someone on the outside. Oh. It took less than 30 minutes for nearly the entire staff of the site to gather outside the door of the communications office. No.

Only one of them is a dash two instance. The other one is still a normal bird. Gotcha. Harley, what do they say? Yeah, yeah. When are we giving out? I don't. There's a traffic here.

Yes, please take care of it. It's very distracting. Take care of what? No, not you. There are people outside. My name. Calm down, you just knocked. Not right now.

What's happening over there? One moment. Could you all do me a tremendous favor and leave me alone? For maybe 15 minutes. An hour tops. Like, take notes. On what?

Whatever I miss while I'm in here. Whatever he has to tell us, he'll still have in an hour. Thank you. So, are they going to get us out? Dr. Klein, with the begrudging help of security, cleared the hallway outside the communications office. A one-hour distraction-free period was established for Dr. Harley to compile a report from the outside. In the meantime... Attention, Site 107.

A mandatory all-staff meeting. will be held on the A-B floor in 20 minutes. I repeat, your presence is required on the A-B-floor in 20 minutes for a mandatory staff meeting. Meaning that for the next roughly 90s, site 107's head of communications would be the only staff member in the building with access to information from the outside. And everyone else was going to have to wait.

The meeting was more of a ruse by Dr. Klein to keep everyone in the same place and prevent any attempts at sneaking access to Harley's office or equipment in ways that might distract him, or worse, severed the connection to the outside. Dr. Klein reasoned that the fastest way to disseminate the information would be for Dr. Harley to write a comprehensive report of the relevant updates that could then be shared with the entirety of the staff. And during the wait, personnel could make use of the skills they have developed in the arts of occupying themselves. But in spite of the mandate to attend

and the general air of palpable agitation, a number of staff did not show, even after waiting 10 minutes longer than had been announced. Hello? Hello? Hello? Working? Okay. Notes. Notes on the meeting. Yeah, yeah. Syke are all here. Klein checked everybody off from research.

Love is trying to find Radiger in the crowd. It's not very organized. Yesterday, before classes and all of this, I was talking to Haldi about the D class. I had a whole plan in my head for getting them integrated into the staff. I was going to talk to maintenance about jobs, some of the other department heads, about training, medical, about medical stuff, checkups, I guess.

But now I don't, I don't know. I don't know if they're going to ask us to. to do human tests in order to get us out of here. I mean, if I said I'd rather stay in here than kill somebody to get out, does that make me sound crazy? I, and if it does, do you think people will still feel guilty enough about torturing me to let me keep saying it? Have you seen Ingrid?

Yeah, a couple times. I meant up here. Uh, no, I hadn't. Have you heard anything? Uh, people are still coming up, but it's only been 15 minutes. Her office is farther down anyway. But I was all the way down there when I told her. And I made it back up ten minutes ago.

And I'm one of the slowest people in here right now. Well, maybe she didn't hear the announcement. I don't know. Just give it a few... She would have heard the announcement. She hears everything. Ask security? But what if she's hurt?

What if something happened? Something did happen. Maybe she's just being clever and she figured out a way to eavesdrop. She does have access to Harley's computer. Just give me 10 minutes And then we can ask if somebody from security Can go get her Fine

We're all on edge It's just like if they had messed with the connection and cut us off? Then where would we be? I've been watching Klein the last 15 minutes or so. She's been talking to Price from containment every once in a while,

and she's biting her nails a lot. Actually, most people don't look happy. Everybody is... It's more anxious and nervous than anything. Me too. I think it makes the outside feel real again, our friends and families and our children. A lot of us have been just, you know,

trying our best not to think about it. That's not something I've encouraged in anyone's sessions, but I haven't, you know, I haven't told anybody not to either. It's, you know, it's an unprecedented scenario. You can't, you know, it's hard to grieve for people, you know, are still alive and out there and living normally. Sometimes I feel like a therapist for the recently deceased. And now with all this, everything is kind of resurfacing. I'm going to go find Klein.

I don't know. What do you want me to say? You don't have to carry all this. I can't help myself. There's nothing we can do right now, but wait. Maybe that's all you have to do, but I still have to make sure people don't... Hey, I see you over there, back off the doors. We only have 30 minutes left. You could fucking handle it. Okay, security would have stopped him.

Well, I stopped him. Why don't we just sit and wait for the rest of it? Let the other people worry about the opportunists. Nobody's actually... I mean, nobody's going to love him. let anybody screw this up, right? It's only, it's fine. It's gonna be fine, and there's only a half an hour left.

I should be happier. Not really. We're getting out. Well, that's, we don't know that. Maybe not immediately, yeah. But we do know we're gonna be much busier in the coming weeks. Is that the worry? Being busier? Yeah.

Yeah, I think so. Have you seen all this? No, I didn't, no. I mean, I haven't really. been looking. Why? Neither of I. I don't want to be in charge of all this, Lancaster. Oh, that's an easy one. You aren't. Site 01 isn't exactly going to accept our lax power structure. Well, they don't have to know about our lax power structure. I'm not going to lie to the overseers. Coward. I might. Then it's a good thing. You won't be the one talking to them. You might not be talking to them

either. I don't want the old methods to be our best way out of here. Well, we've got time until we find out if we even have a shot at escaping in the first place. She's not responding to her walkie. Huh? What? Okay, well, that's not a reason to panic. Maybe she hasn't turned it on. And if she found a way to listen in, I wouldn't want to be distracted either. Is Radiger still not up here? No. Can I go down to see if she's okay? I might be about to go down there myself, actually. Can't somebody from security check? She's not the only person we're missing. Have we done a headcount?

Did I miss that? We should have. Alves isn't here either. I mean, only missing too. That's not bad. Where's if Alves isn't here? It's not just two, though, is it? Who else? Where's medical? Who from medical? All of medical. None of them have showed up.

I've been waiting for them. I'll go check. No, you're still a little slow, love. Let me do it. No, I'll do it. People are still asking you questions. They want me to... I have a flare gun, Lancaster.

Oh. Just in case something has happened. Yeah, Gloria's fine. She's in her room. Having a panic attack or something. something like one. Trust me, she did not want me in there with her. Yeah, Lancaster, we've all had panic attacks before. I know what they look like. And I don't need another mug getting whipped in my head. Besides, I'm going to find medical anyway. I can just sick a nurse on her. I don't know, love. I'm going to her office now.

It'll be fine. Clinal find her. Let's get distracted. Who looks like they're going to run for the door? Records. Records, really. I don't know. They look shifty. You sound like Klein. What do you think about all this? I'm excited. I want to get out of here. I can't wait. I want to take the boys on hikes.

I don't want to take Ingrid, too. You're not worried about them? Maybe they'll have to get used to it for a while, but we'll get there. And if they don't like going outside, they could just stay in. Stay in? Where? How big is your house? Oh, I'll figure something out. What if they can't? I mean we never saw dash two instances on the outside. What if they can't get out of the anomaly?

Well, what if dash threes can't get out? What if you get stuck in here? I don't know. I actually hadn't thought about that. Did you ever see a whole building get sucked in? Huh? You're right. I mean, we don't know what's going to happen. I mean, maybe they'll be fine. You ruined it. I'm sorry. Harley better have good news.

What happened? Harley? I... Radiger, you okay? Fine. So, what's the deal? Listen, we don't have time for this right now. Your girlfriend thinks you're dead.

Actually... She's fine, love. She's in her office. Unless you're dying, you better unbarricade this door. So, what's up? Let's just go upstairs. No. Tell me what's going on. It's fine.

I swear to God, kid. We're getting out. It's possible. I don't think I want to get out. Yeah. A lot of mixed feelings today. I guess your life wasn't much different out there than it isn't here, was it? You have to stop doing shit like this, though.

I don't know. They looked busy in there. What are we going to tell everybody else? Nothing. Quiet, if they're all working on her, she's not okay. Nobody else needs this on their plate right now. None of us can help. All we can do is...

Wait, yeah. Oh, ooh, yeah, great. Why didn't I think of that? Oh, let's just wait. What do you want me to do? How do we know she fell? How do we know there's not something else going on? She fell. Did you see her?

No. But I saw the look on Dr. Clark's face. He wasn't lying. I've never seen one of our medical doctors look scared. I never really thought of her as that old. Yeah, neither have I. Attention site 107. We have established contact with Site 64.

I have been briefing their head of communications about our experience in here. I will be sending my report to records to be printed because I know we will crash the intranet if I have to put it there. Also, I will not be leaving my office for the foreseeable few. future. Are you still there? Yeah, I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. Oh, please don't go anywhere. I just said I won't.
