Greetings and hello, find us alive listeners.
It's me, Anna, writer and director of the show and melting ice sculpture.
Put me back in the freezer, or I will die.
Today we have a couple announcements and some new patrons to thank.
Firstly, thank you all for voting for hymns for the road.
In the People's Choice Podcast Awards, I am happy to announce that it has made the final slate.
We will see how the panel of judges rules on our little show, but even the nomination is meaningful.
so thank you all for listening and for voting. Also, tomorrow, September 6th, marks the sixth anniversary
of Find Us Alive. To celebrate, we're going to begin selling physical script books, starting with the first
18 episodes. I've been working on these books for a very long time, so I'm really excited to finally
be able to share them. We're also going to have another web fishing stream like we had on our
Patreon a couple months ago, but this one is going to be public. At time of recording, we haven't
nailed down the dates or the details for either, but more information
is going to be in our newsletter, which you can subscribe to at hodgepodgeodio.com.
And now on to our new patrons.
A big special thanks to Inquisitive Lama, Dr. Harley's A&Or E tattoo, Namir, several squirrels,
Mr. Amper, Jack Slash, and Osaka Nader.
Thank you so much for supporting us.
You make this show and many others continue to be possible.

special containment procedures. SEP 6320 is currently contained within a 19 by 19 meter chamber
built around it, located on the lowermost floor of research site 107. Individuals entering SCP
6320's containment chamber are to do so in standard protective attire. The chamber must be thoroughly
cleaned once twice daily and no loose material left than 16 meters, 30 meters of the anomaly.

Of course now they want to pay attention to it!
It's better than, like, not agreeing to work with us at all.
Where are they evacuating the skeleton crew, too?
The post office. They don't want anyone they're actually paying it to go down there.
But they're letting the volunteers go.
And at least some of the volunteers have drones.
Speaking from my experience of the place, I don't think drones are the most efficient.
efficient means of surveillance. We would waste a lot of time trying to fly a robot through it,
especially now that a lot of it is just raw earth again. It's too labyrinthian.
It's less about efficiency and more about keeping people away from it.
If what Radiger said is true, it won't matter where people are in proximity to it.
They could be a mile out, they could be a thousand miles out.
We don't need to be careful, we need to be fast.
When is your next reset?
Soon, a couple days.
The first group of volunteers should be coming in from Vegas tomorrow.
Are you coming with them?
No.
but Noah is.
He's using all five of his PTO days for the year on this,
so you better be grateful.
If it keeps progressing, you may all be dead by the end of the year anyway.
So now's the time to use them.
Wait a sec, Harley, someone's blowing me up.
Dr. Harley, I have been informed that the other Dr. Cordell
has been approached by a second, larger group of plainclothes volunteers.
Plain clothes? Who are they with?
We don't know, and we don't need to ask.
But they're probably not foundation.
But Noah says he's running a bigger vehicle.
Description.
Annotations by Site 107 staff may diverge from greater foundation documentation.
SCP-6320 is an extra-dimensional rift.
And associated interior space.
Located in a stone wall at the bottom of a disused copper mine in Nevada.
Appearing in the shape of a mineral deposit vein,
the anomaly has been described as resembling a tear into outer space,
with the interior even exhibiting a parallax effect.
However, SCP-630's behavior as a flat surface
suggests this apparent depth is a visual illusion.
The interior extra-dimensional space associated with SCP-632
have not been measured and limits to its size have not been observed.
Any loose particulate matter, such as dirt, crumbs, dust, etc.,
or freestanding liquids left with any 16-meter radius of SCP-63320
gradually rearranges into a copy of SCP-6320 shape
before disappearing completely.
Additionally, any object or creature
that comes into direct physical contact with SCP-620
immediately disappears as well.
Recording equipment that has vanished
after touching the anomaly produces no footage.
The anomaly is capable of subsuming objects and creatures
into itself using a variety of methods,
including direct physical contact with the exterior rift,
the anomalous manipulation of objects, and
SCP-6320 exhibits a variety of self-replicating behaviors.
Vectors of these behaviors have been categorized by Site 107 researchers as instances of...
SCP-6320-1, physical replications of the rift's shape,
formed through the anomalous manipulation of particulate matter and liquids.
SCP-6320-2, anomalously altered animal plant life that served prolifications.
different instances of SCP 6320-1 and-
DASH-3.
SCP-632-3 instances are humanoid anomalies created when a dash-1 instance is formed in the flesh of a human subject,
either through direct contact with the anomaly or through more invasive means.
Dash-3 instances serve to perpetuate dash-1 instances and to create additional dash-3 instances,
as humanoid motor skills are the most efficient means of replicating the anomaly.
Self-replications formed inside SCP-6320's extra-dimensional space prevent the anomaly from seeking external.
We don't know that.
You saw what I saw.
But we don't know it's connected to the earthquakes.
We aren't getting the earthquakes.
We shouldn't go back just to die.
Nobody's going to die.
They could use our help out there to fix it.
Harley can't get enough info out all by himself.
We shouldn't leave.
We aren't going to give up escaping because of one hypothesis.
Mrs. Radiger, even with all the new information, we're still facing fewer unknowns out there than we are in here.
And if you're correct, if we stay, we could be abandoning everybody to...
Everyone I care about is in here.
People that you care about have other people they care about too.
If you really care about us, you'll care about them.
How much longer?
The first group already left, so they'll be there tonight, but the shipment is going to take.
three more days.
Why is it going to take so long?
Hard to transport explosives.
Even harder to scrape together
when we're technically not supposed
to be using them like this.
It's not like we can submit
an equipment requisition.
What about with the unusual instance unit?
Aren't some of them down there?
Yes, but we're keeping ourselves
in the dark about who's who.
As far as I'm concerned,
everybody's a foundation volunteer.
I wonder if we've picked up any
like stragglers, you know,
from even more outside groups?
It's possible.
the human-centric groups at least.
I'm sure we would be able to tell if one of our volunteers was from the circus,
and as possible we might be able to secure an explosive shipment from the UIU.
If their agents are among us, they would have heard us talking about the detonation,
which means they know we need supplies.
Update me on the relief supplies, too.
We have a plan to raid the town's restaurants and grocery stores for non-perishables.
Well, we can't scavenge from the school and hospital.
We'll get from Reno.
and one of the civilians that left with the first caravan is in possession of a very unmarked, very black credit card.
I thought Marshall Carter and Dark pulled out of the deal after Sight-01 put out the temporary reinstatement notice for 107.
That was their official statement, yes.
Someone else has big money then.
Either big racks or magic that passes as racks.
I'll let Harley know that we'll be deadening the rift in four days to be safe.
Four days.
Love you.
Love you too.
History.
SEP 6320 was discovered in 1997 by foundation agents investigating online reports of unusual activity within a local abandoned copper mine.
Word of the mine appeared on an online forum dedicated to urban exploration, particularly of supposedly haunted locations.
According to a local teenager posting on the forums, the mine shaft reconfigured itself between visits, making mapping and proper exploration.
impossible. Foundation investigation of the town found more reports of a similar nature.
Later observations by Foundation researchers found the apparent reconfiguration to be a cognitive
effect, not a literal physical change in the structure. After spreading online disinformation
that the activity within the mind was a hoax, the foundation began construction of site 107 in
2004, under the guise of a geological survey corporation. The original intention was to expand
the site into a hub for researching dimensional anomalies,
This plan fell through due to lack of funding and available personnel.
Talk to me.
We got volunteers on site?
Yeah?
Oh?
The same as ours.
We think most of them are with Wilson's, but it's hard to tell.
Although one of them has an accent, something like Midwestern, Noah thinks.
I'm sure Wilson's draws from many places.
It's possible.
And the anchor?
They've walked it like a quarter mile from where we found it.
And it's still connected.
We're testing the limit.
Where did you find it?
You know, the little guard house thing by the parking lot?
That's where they put it?
Yeah, it was in the concrete foundation.
It had its own little pocket.
It looks like it was built in when the site was constructed.
Security is helping cut our wall open so we can access ours.
I can't believe you managed to even find that.
How close are we to the detonation?
They're setting it up right now.
Tomorrow we can...
Oh, no one says it disconnected.
How far?
A mile and a half.
Security.
Is it disconnected?
Isn't that bad?
Love?
I'm helping security. I need something to do. Leave me alone.
When did it disconnect?
Like a minute ago?
Cordell?
Yeah, I'm on the phone with him. Okay. Walk it back.
It's back again.
Excellent.
Day connected?
Yes, but if the two halves of the reality anchor have a finite distance they can travel from each other before disconnecting, it means that
that when they are connected, the outside half is within a mile and a half of this specific site 107.
You never moved positions. You just moved realities.
Harley? They're done cutting the wall open. What do I do now?
Harley? Wish there is something you can do, dump truck.
Hey, Klein, you need help with anything?
Yeah, sure. Whatever.
If it was three months ago, you would have needed my help.
Fine said you wanted to help me in the office.
Show it to me again.
Good.
This is good.
If this works, we're safe for retaliation.
We can't do the detonation.
Because if we can't see any sign of it before the shift
and the quakes didn't start until recently,
something about our presence is causing them.
And that's proof that helping us escape was the correct call.
They can't hold that against us if we were the ones telling them how to
save the world.
Klein.
I hurt you, Redeker.
I'm just ignoring you.
They're going to detonate it,
and I'm not going to say anything to stop them.
We need to stay inside.
We could be making it worse.
Not doing anything is making it worse.
We finally have a solid hypothesis
for what caused the shift,
thanks to you, by the way.
6320 got us to make an anamorphic dash one
out of a building
without anyone noticing until it was too late.
I don't want to find out the hard way
what it's using to make a bigger one.
Are you crying?
Talk to me.
I can't lose her.
Rattiger, I think you already have.
She was talking to me before, you know,
telling me all about how she couldn't get you to pay attention to her
or hang out with her.
I was...
And then she stopped a couple days ago.
She hasn't mentioned it since.
Maybe she went to Lancaster instead.
Yeah, she probably is going to get transferred.
She's definitely not going to be a field agent anymore,
if she even was one in the first place.
Yeah, that.
I don't know how they'll deal with that.
She'll probably get laid off, honestly.
Maybe if she makes a full mental recovery,
they'd move her to a desk job.
But she's still in pretty rough shape.
Even the cannon fodder people
they station outside some of the doors still need certain qualifications.
I'd be surprised if they bother to keep her around.
at all. Then again, we've always had good medical benefits. Maybe they'll take the time to help her get back to
something. If you need her that bad, do something. A couple years ago, I had something with someone.
She was everything to me. I thought we were some kind of power couple. But she was so scared all the time.
scared we were going to break the rules, scared I was going to break different rules,
scared we were going to die in some kind of horrible containment breach.
Little justified for that last one.
But it was a problem, and it got between us.
I just waited and waited for her to do something.
I just wanted her to make a move, make it official, and she didn't.
She spent like three years keeping us in this.
state of suspended animation, waiting for all the circumstances to be perfect.
And they never were. We fought a lot about it.
And eventually, I gave up. I wasn't going to sit around hoping that everything was going to line up
exactly right. It's never exactly right. It was never going to be. I think she might still be
waiting. They snatched you up from your day job, right? That's how you got here. And they said,
watch the cameras here and then watch the cameras there and you just did. Did you ever want
anything before that? I wanted to see the ocean. Why didn't you? Did you ever apply to transfer
closer to the coast? Did you try and get a raise so you could move? Maybe quit the foundation
and get a different security job somewhere else?
Why not?
How old were you when you got your first security job
at that front business?
18.
How old are you now?
22.
Christ, you're an infant.
Okay, maybe it's not your fault you spent so long just sitting around.
Maybe nobody told you, so now I'm going to.
You have to do something.
You can't just sit in front of your screens
and wait for things to happen to you.
If you want something, you have to pursue it.
If you don't, you're going to blink and you'll be 55 still sitting on your ass in this office,
and everyone around you will have moved on.
You do have a good thing going.
Don't fuck it up.
It sucks to be on the other end of that, too.
Pension site 107.
We will soon be counting down until volunteers on the outside,
detonate an explosive on the Rift. Their researchers and ours have determined
collectively that this is our best chance of stressing the boundaries of the
void to a point that it spits us out, in so many words. We are anticipating
escape in some form. What follows is our evacuation plan, operating under the
assumption that shifting out will look similar to shifting in.
Before and during the exterior detonation all personnel on site
will remain in the containment cells in BH, as these are the parts of the building most resistant to damage or collapse.
Helmets and other protective equipment are to be assigned to members of the staff deemed most physically vulnerable,
including Dr. Gravitt, and anyone physically disabled in the BC2 collapse.
I will remain in my office to retain best contact with Site 64.
Upon escape, we will collectively comply with orders from the relief effort on the outside, until such a time.
as the safety of all of us is confirmed.
In the event that we reappear in our previous location in the tunnels surrounding the anomaly,
security is responsible for assuring that all members of staff, including D-Class personnel,
are safely evacuated from the building and moved to the established receiving area at the community center.
Upon escaping, Ortiz and Campbell will be stationed at the doors and conducting a headcount
to make sure everyone has been evacuated.
They will be the last to exit the building.
Please stay with your group and try to make this as easy as possible for everyone.
Group 1, medical and Dr. Grette, followed by anyone who may sustain injuries during the second shift.
Following, Group 2, Agent Howard, Myers, Officer Gray, Evans, Chavez, and Agent Love, accompanied by Rojas and Burnett from security to help those with mobility difficulties.
Group 3, Dr. Schau and Maintenance.
Group 4. Containment and former D-class personnel.
Group 5. Botany, engineering, and records.
Group 6, research and communications.
Group 7. The remainder of security.
Volunteers will be waiting topside to move us
to the Community Center multipurpose room for initial medical attention and quarantine.
As soon as we're out of here, Site 107, we are civilians.
Expect to be bossed around and taken care of.
Once we've secured our people's safety, then we can worry about advocating for ourselves.
I'm sure we all have a lot to say and a lot to ask.
Those of you who have not made it to the containment level yet, hurry.
Once we have all been secured, we can give Cordell the okay to set off the bomb.
Explosives armed.
Are you ready?
Klein.
That's 90. We're ready.
We're ready.
Okay, love.
Count me down.
28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 12, 11, 10, 11, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 1, 0, 0, 0.
