Do you know what?
Actually, the other day I went to the gym.
I actually went and did a workout class.
Did you?
Which I wouldn't have chosen as my way to spend a relaxing day.

However, Joseph was at nursery and I put Sadie in the creche

For a little bit of a steam room
and a jacuzzi.
And actually,
afterwards I felt like a new woman.
Did you?

down to the starbucks drive-thru get myself and just blasting the music in the car like i really
love that nothing feels better when you can crank the decibels right up get those windows down and
feel like you're gang gang living yeah that's like my 17 year old self just comes back and the fact
that you can just blast the music sing
whitney houston at the top of your lungs while sipping on a decaf coffee because my heart can't
take yeah my heart can't get myself some egg muffins while i'm at it but that for me is wild
yeah and that just resets me that might take 10 minutes might take an hour depending on traffic
but that resets me i never thought I'd enjoy a solo drive as much.
I never thought I would.
And now that I've got children, when I'm in the car without them,
I feel so free to not be playing Old MacDonald.
Honestly, it's a really good feeling.
There is something so fun, though, about when the children sing along with you
to the song on the car.
Yeah.
I really love that.
So it's, you know, it's Catch-22, but I do love me a little,
a little drive.
A little solo drive.
Yeah, I do.
Yeah, I love that. Thank you. Thank you. So We hope today's soak has given you a bit of respite for the daily grind.
Remember, it's okay to take these moments for yourself.
Self-care isn't selfish, it's necessary.
Whether it's a bath, a walk or just sitting quietly, make sure you keep carving out this time.
And we'll be back on Tuesday with our usual episode.
So we'll see you next Tuesday.
