Thanks so much for being with me. I'm excited to hear all about your story and how you got into this. You know, I didn't expect to do this work as a psychic and medium, but I did grow up in a family that had natural abilities for it. But in those days, I'm 70, so I grew up in the 1950s 60s 70s when my aunt came to read cars in the night to the ace it was just for family and friends you didn't talk about it outside of the home we've come a long way best-selling books tv shows my mom had prophetic dreams but she had the one where it was about people who would pass. And that's not a

fun one to have. She also was a good dream interpreter. And my dad liked to have a library of interest in the metaphysics. So I grew up with not expecting to do it, but my day jobs were not working out. So I was reading for friends and they said, one friend pushed me why don't you get a restaurant and I'm like you know in the last I gave myself a week the last day I'm across the street from a vegetarian restaurant in New York City in Greenwich Village and then the restaurant had a subtitle astrology cafe went in and talked to the owner in the back she said yeah we have different psychics every week so I read for her I was the substitute that the back. She said, yeah, we have different psychics every week. So I read for her. I was the substitute that may have my own day, then two days.

Then in walks a party planner and hires me to promote Self Magazine with some other psychics. And I was shocked. You can make money at events and parties. It wasn't my thing. So that event, I got interviewed in the Wall Street Journal and things started to snowball. So I was guided into this without expecting it. Right. So it's in your lineage. Tell me about your aunt. Yes, yes, yes. Because I found that my father's side, his mother had profound visions. I just

heard a story that when she was in Italy praying at a little stone church, she saw the Virgin Mary crying. And she felt the sense of just doom or earthquake happened a few days later. So they did a study for people who don't take this serious. I just want to let you know that astronaut Edgar Mitchell did a psychic experiment in NASA and it worked, projected images for someone to draw. And then he had an epiphany and started the Institute of Noetic Sciences where quantum physicists study us. So they do a lot of studies on psychics and they did say it's genetic. It's like people who have, there's a lot of musicians in their family or doctors. So it's something like that. I would say there's definitely elders, ancestors who have that talent.

And a lot of psychics I know, their family has an interest in it and a talent in it. So I think that helps. But do you think that we all have the ability to, we just don't have the correct kind of instruction to tap into it? Well, yes and no. You look, I took singing lessons. I'm still off key. So yeah, we can sing, but can you sing good? Right. Okay. Good point. I like that. You can teach people, but you can really, you know, but it's still a thing where I didn't have a case I was teaching psychic development and one woman she was so negative

when I had everyone exchange crystals read the energy of the person's crystal that you just got oh I don't have anything I don't have anything you see I, I have nothing. And I said, if you could get a color, what would it be? She said, red. I said, if you can get initials, what would it be? A, B, C. If you could get numbers, what would it be? One, two, three. You see, I have nothing.

And the girl whose crystals she had said, you actually have a lot of information. I just visited my sister at a new home. She has a red door. My sister's initials are A, B, and C. And the number on her house is 123. Wow. So a lot of it has to do with that self-trust. Yes. Yes. Yeah. And what about discernment as well? Do you use your body a lot to help you? Well, my body for when I do medium work, I would feel it doesn't hurt a tinge like, oh, this is the long heart area. I have somebody had an issue there or, oh, your left knee has issue or relative, things like that. Also, you can learn pendulum, showing my yes, showing my no.

So I'm going to watch this yes and no question. And I'll do that a few times just to see if the kinesiology, you get your images and voices, but you also need a bag of tricks based on numerology. I don't really do astrology, but I didn't have the patience. But then people said, you hook up with the moon, the full moon, you always know. And I don't know what it is, but you know what it is. I like everything simple. So astrology is too much.

It's complicated. It's a lot. What do you think about, you know, we all receive differently. And I feel like throughout my journey, I've had times where I was really strong in receiving this way. I mean, this was like the forerunner, right? And then, you know, then it shifts sometimes. And I still have this one. But yet now I've added this one, and this one's more in the forefront. Do you feel like our gifts are growing and evolving as we evolve as well? Oh, absolutely. And some of it you don't realize is related. I had a job where they said, now I could also do tea leaves because my aunt read coffee grinds.

But I also studied art history and poetry. So symbolic, you know, and visual symbols visual symbols so someone said I have a gig for you you got to learn handwriting analysis so I studied it but I also looked at my own way of doing it so I was able to because I studied visual symbols I was able to see it but that evolved I think from what I mentioned, the Tealink reading. And I had one interesting thing. She kept writing everything like a figure eight. And that's what I said.

So I said, figure eight, ice skating. And she goes, I'm an ice skating teacher and I teach figure eights. It's visual. Now, I studied for two weeks, but I'm not memorizing the loop of this and that. You know, it's something because I studied visual patterns to look at symbols. You know, I also did that with lipstick kiss things and that worked accurately. So I think in the old days. Yeah. Yeah.

Before we had tea leaves, when I teach a class, I like to teach about the history of it. So before the tea was introduced to the British, they were using molded lead in water. And that's a risky kind of thing. People put the egg in the water. So it doesn't matter how you get there. It's just a matter of how you can interpret patterns. Yeah. Wow. I love that.

Yeah. It was another job. Now, someone knows their own technique, but I don't follow that. I do my own. So I pull it differently. I even kept samples. One woman, you have the lipstick and you kiss the paper. She hardly, she did it so lightly.

And I said, you're not standing up for yourself and you're barely speaking up and she said it was true and I knew she had a former alcoholic husband who passed away but now the grandson who had maybe abuse problems he was all hours teenager and she couldn't put any boundaries with him. So it made sense. And there were little things, little patterns you can see. So it doesn't really matter what it is. And I always say, look, a good psychic doesn't need anything. And I think it's time for me to look at you. What's your birthday? My birthday is May 15th, 1976. Okay. Well, you have an interesting multi-talents because the number five i'm not looking at your astrology i'm looking at your numerals which is an ancient form they studied

people's birthdays and letters and it's observation so the number five likes to study and try a lot of different subjects. That's why you said, now I'm into this. Makes sense. Yeah. They love their freedom. I always tell people, don't say ADD, you switch around subjects. Just say you're a Renaissance woman. You have a thirst for knowledge. And if you don't stick to anything, yeah and if you don't stick to anything yeah if you don't stick to anything then try to learn discipline or then you hire people who are the experts they got to do a lot of different things at the same time and they're very people aren't it and then you have the six you said six or or 15 five yeah 515 all right one plus five is. So the six is the nurture home and family person. And children's very important.

And nurturing and nurturing your clients. They're also very responsible number. You'll have to have the home, you know. You're not a bachelorette. You have to have that sense of you probably have kids and dogs and cats, you know. And at the end of your birthday to this year you're a new beginning so even if you ended things and it's good time to declutter or publish new projects it could be new home it could be new jobs or planting seeds for what you want for the next

decade and it's good for being independent and promoting yourself now Now, what is your year? 76? 1976. Yeah. You look so young. I mean, you're still young, but I thought you were a millennial. 1976. 19 is a one, a seven is an eight, 14 is five and five is one.

I like the seven. I have a seven. It's a very psychic, the most psychic psychic number and it's also spiritual growth it's introspective it's an analyzer or researcher but it's a loan but you have the five so it makes you social and and all that energy but it is the metaphysical number a lifelong student and teacher so whatever wisdom you gain you share and that's what you're doing the podcast you want to learn and you want to share what you're learning yes everything about what you said i validate i am and everyone that knows me and listens to this podcast is like oh my gosh that's so shanna because i'm a mom but i'm also a researcher

i'm diehard constantly constantly researching. I've been researching the Gnostic Gospels for years. Prior to that, it was my ancestry for six years. So right on, right on. Were you ever a teacher? I'm a Reiki teacher. So I teach Reiki. I, different classes and courses and healings. And so, yes. And I'm about to write a book. I'm about to finish my book. And actually my astrology aligns exactly what you just said.

Yeah, they all relate. Astrology and numerology relate. It's amazing. Just like you said, there are a lot of things coming to completion. Hopefully I'll have everything done with my book. And so, yeah, everything you said was completely. What is the name of your book? You got to promote it. The name of my book will be Desperately Seeking Sophia and its Mysteries of Ancient Wisdom.

That's interesting. Very different. Sophia is just the Greek word for wisdom. Oh, wow. Yes, taught in the Gnostic Gospels. Wow, that's profound. It was quite the journey, that is for sure. It's still happening.

But last night, I realized something. That's why I was asking about our gifts evolving. And I don't know why I never realized I was doing it, because I've been doing it forever. But it's just becoming very prominent. And like I said, in the forefront of my gifts, I've been auto writing. Automatic writing. Yeah. I used to teach it.

Yeah. And I don't know what I'm writing until after I'm done. And I'm like, wow. I had one student, he brought in from another class. He wrote in Latin. He doesn't know Latin. And it looked like gibberish. And then somebody would pass it around.

And someone said, that's Greg's shorthand.and and the person said i don't know shorthand one of the things that you tell people after you do the automatic writing take a breath ask the author you know you're transcribing from a higher realm of the subconscious ask them their name to identify themselves. When I did hypnosis for it, I would premise that possibly this is a past life or possibly this is an analogy where you're writing a narrative. So I don't say, you definitely were this cowboy. You know, I don't do that.

But you get lessons with this, whether it's imaginative or real. Some person, you know, look, I got the name and I looked it up, you know. Sure't do that right but you get lessons with this whether it's imaginative or real some person you know look i got the name and i looked it up you know sure i like that okay five years old and they know who they were you know yeah okay i'm glad you said that because i think a lot of people even after regressions are like uh maybe i made that up yeah yeah or but even if you did why did you make that up there is something in your higher consciousness that wanted you to look at the scenario yeah the story brings out what you need to know I yeah but when I do mediumship they do not talk about past life so I'm okay connecting them with the consciousness of what their life was and still is. I've been asked this many times, but and then I think maybe other psychics, but then I'm not someone like, I don't like it when a

psychic tells me, wants to just do a reading of my past life. I don't tell people their past life. So we do it through hypnosis and you tell me, but people past tell me, you know, they want to connect to their family, friends, and they tell me about their ail tell me like you know they want to connect to their family friends and they tell me about their ailments so i could prove maybe we could do one of your people i do see this is funny i don't usually do this but i can see your pineal gland chakra is very lavender right here so i think you know you feel, you feel it, you know, but I like that. Yeah. And I usually don't do that, but I just saw this purple chakra glowing. Yeah. You're going to teach more and then you're going to have a workbook, you know, not just a book. Then you have something

that a workbook with homework, you know, we do homework. I love I love workbooks you whenever I get the opportunity if there's a book I'll order the workbook too if there's one I love that because I liked her journal and you mentioned something you mentioned about dreams how your mother had premonition dreams yeah and I have too you know we I have as well had many premonition dreams dreams are a huge part of my journey. Yeah. And that people feel frustrated. I can't do anything about it.

I can't tell the person, but maybe it prepares them. It's in some way. Yeah. Yeah. Subconsciously, if anything. Yeah. Yeah. I met one woman once.

She said, I don't have any psychic abilities about that, but it haunts me and I'm angry that I have that. So for this woman, it was difficult to handle. But maybe that was a catalyst for her to study dreams and to study mediumship or something. Yeah. So Joan, I have a beautiful friend who I met in 1994. She came here from Romania. In fact, I love her to death. She's one of my best friends. And when she first came here, she hardly knew English. She learned English. She went to school. She became a business owner. She's so successful. She's like the American dream for real.

I mean, it was when her country had just become independent is when she moved here. So she has quite the story. But one of the things that her and I used to play with were playing cards. And this is how she also reads them. And she also did tea leaves. And so. Oh, wow. Okay. I have a kindred spirit. Is that also did tea leaves. And so, wow. Okay. There's not too many. And then there's also now I rarely, rarely see anybody who could do, you know, the deck of cards.

For some reason, I connected very much with this tool and I was really good at it. And they also told me they have gypsy in them. So this was something that was passed down generation after generation. That's the original way, right? That's how they did it originally. Yeah. I was someplace, sort of a well-known tower reader at the place that I was, looked at my card. She goes, you are psychic. You're really psychic. I said, why'd you say that she says because you don't have any information on your car right there's nothing and sometimes I have to make up my own symbols I know some from my aunt but times are different now you know yeah I agree we create

some symbols of other things and and I a lot of times I tell the young tarot readers, look away from the card. Do you get a name? Do you get something else? Because sometimes it's so abstract. And I've had cases where they just show me the picture. I say, I don't care. I see the picture, but I don't want to know the picture.

I want to know the psychic information. Some are very good and they spend years and years and their symbolism is very deep. But, you know, I want it more like I'm very, I'm in the areas. I'm just, you know, straightforward, you know, no flowery talk. Well, actually, maybe I should give you a little reading. Yeah. With the cards. Yeah.

There is a little stress factor right now. Or, no, I know moms do a lot. You know what I mean? You're always overwhelmed. But there may be something where you feel frustrated in the home arena. Now, don't forget, you're working at home. You have kids. You're working on a book.

So you have, like, pressure. But I think sometimes you feel you don't have enough support maybe from your spouse or your kids for your project does that make sense oh yeah now somehow some miracle you get some quiet time I don't know how because they're you know they're older but you need something where open up the communications here's the sabbath year for your husband not the whole year but at least let him get a week's vacation to rest yeah he needs to rest next year and then the next year he looks like money could be expansion but see how he's feeling and it could be emotional or even physical he's he's run down a bit he needs a checkup so that's a worry stress factor that

you have and i don't like to open with this and publicly but i saw like the energy is blocked so first of all you're doing your prayers and your reiki that's good but we need to you know i hope he goes to the doctors because you really are psychic psychic, aren't you? So many men, they won't even go to the dentist and then they want to kiss you. You're like, well, you didn't think I'd go to the dentist. I'm like, I don't want to kiss that mouth. Oh, my God. He should go to the doctor, even if it's just run down or he's exhausted and aches and pains in his body. You know, he does physical work.

And when you get older everything hurts tell him the psychic said so and you but you have some nice things you've been together for a long time yeah i've known him since second grade second grade that's when i first he was my first kiss when i was like 12. Yeah. I grew up on his handlebars. Oh, how sweet is that? You're a lucky lady.

But, you know, you have a double. My aunt would say the red line was the wish card. You have a double wish card, very focused. You know, you're going to do well and you're going to start making more money. And I keep seeing a bird. Do you have connection with birds or have a pet bird or you connect to the birds outside my birds outside yeah yeah so I mean it's the hawks and this summer for the first time it was hummingbirds but usually the hawks yeah I have a very strong well it's been owls before I mean mean, I could sit in my backyard.

Well, I do every day. But the other day I counted, there was five different breeds of birds all at one time. It was so divine. Yeah. Yeah. So look up also if the hawks are making their presence known, look up the totem out of them. What does hawks represent? Oh, yeah. I took shaman classes to learn how to journey, and the hawk was there and led me to meet.

Well, I thought it was my spirit animal, and it could be, but it led me into this place where this wolf came out, and the wolf turned into a man. Wow. I had an ancestor named Etienne Picaroche. Sadly, sadly, he was known as the great medicine man that converted to Christianity. From what? What? American Indian? What are we talking about? He was a First Nation Indian in the 1600s in Canada. You actually get you. Oh, my God. Yeah, he was. He was known as the tent shaker. He had to survive. I know.

You know, they just had the Ken Burns two-part American Buffalo. You know, it was. Oh, no, I didn't. He had to survive. They found in Italy after the Inquisition in Spain of the Jews, they went to Italy and they became Catholic and changed their names. They found temple, their heritage and DNA. So think of it as survival and that you can resurrect and you could talk to your elder. I can't believe you could find someone for 1600s. The elder is still a wisdom keeper and teacher.

Is this in your book or that's another book? It is. It is in my first chapter because it is, it was such a big part of my journey. Yeah. But this is a beautiful stories because. Oh, that's intense.

And as you have that generational pain on Trump, So you're healing all of them by healing and looking at the tree. So I don't do that work when I'm becoming aware of this whole, even with psychologists, generational. Yeah, the epigenetics. And healing. And it stops with me. And, you know, it's a timeless feeling.

I see you on TV being interviewed. That's going to happen. Because the book, you may even expand that chapter a little bit right now you gotta publish this book i know now change gears and become a saleswoman okay all right i get a grandma coming in she lived with pain for a long time and she didn't go to the doctor does that make sense somebody didn't go to the doctor. Does that make sense? Somebody didn't go to the doctor for a while. Well, my dad, which she's never come through in her reading ever. So this is shocking, but her birthday was on leap year. She did not go to the doctor and she died of ovarian cancer because she did not know. And she died very young. I think I was nine when she died.

So she's coming through. I can't tell you how very special your reading was for me to connect with my grandma, who I have not, and she has never come through. Oh, she's always around. And she knows your grandma. Yeah, that's so cool. And they're very proud and they look over and I keep looking like a framed photo or painting of something that means something to your grandmother. I don't know if you have something, did anyone paint in their family? Well, there is this really silly painting. I think it's

actually in my room somewhere. I asked my aunt, why did my dad keep this painting but it was a painting of his that his brother made in elementary school oh and he still has it is it hanging no no i didn't i have it though it's super silly it's it's actually probably it's cute actually i could find a place for it but yeah because your grandmother knows about this. She said that there's a picture related to me. And she was proud of it. And there's something special. Oh, yeah, I bet she was.

Yeah. I sent my uncle the picture. I said, did you make this? It has his name at the bottom. It's touching. It's very touching. And they love it. She kept it.

Yeah, yeah. Oh, wait, that's their mother wait yes yeah oh yeah that that she she's so connected with that she's she knows she says your brother-in-law has kids too right he has a family yeah yeah so she's popping around and you have any other questions for me i I don't. People with access and it's nonstop. So yeah. You know, technology has a lot of problems. Oh, AI just took someone, a young kid, and his hobby is he builds robots. But he said, oh, my God, some of it is they go beyond. What did he call it? Beyond machine learning, whatever that means. Yeah. He said they could even talk to you either nice or mean, depending on how you are in your messages. They'll imitate your tone.

I know. It's very scary. Yeah. It is weird because everything's so fake. The only thing I say, though, is that it is artificial and they can have as much knowledge as it wants. But wisdom is divine and that it will not have. Oh, thank you very much. I love that.

I love that. You know what? That's a very good point. It makes us feel they don't have a soul. And very good point. Oh, boy. I mean, I know some of the smartest people are some of the dumbest people I know. Yeah.

Yeah. They don't always have common sense. So, I mean, you can have all the knowledge, but wisdom is divine and it's not artificial. So. That's a beautiful thing. That's actually, it will save the human race. It's going to have to. Yeah.

Yeah. You know, I do do phone call readings. They're just as good as in person. And thank you for doing, you're dedicated to this. This is your bliss, you know? So you're doing a great job.
