Grab your coffee, open your mind, heart and soul. It's time to awaken.
Today on the Sense of Soul, we have Rick Thompson. Rick is an engineer, a businessman and an investor based in Seattle, Washington.
He is a CEO in the cement and steel industry. Rick has been infatuated with science, math, and the workings of the world since he was a child.
He is highly skilled at defining objectives, assessing requirements, and resolving problems on and off the work field.
His practical approach to business, life, and science is what makes his book, The Quantum Mindset in a Nutshell, special and very digestible for the
average reader. This book and guided program will provide you with a tested nuts and bolts method
for entering the quantum mindset and tapping heightened tools for manifesting your deepest
dreams. Welcome, Rick. Good morning. How are you guys today? Good. How are you? Very good. Thanks for
having me. Thank you for coming on. I have to say I jumped into your book and I'm wow.
You know, the mind blown emoji. Well, it's a little technical at first, but it really gets
down to, you know, this is information I'm trying to provide. So you can have that belief, because if we don't believe we have these powers, then we'll
never have them. And we have so many more powers than we realize through our mind and our, our
gifts of the universe, whatever you want to call them. And number one step to getting there is to
believing that you have them and then accepting what you can do with them. Because we're taught
from a child that, no, you can't do this, you can can't do that and a lot of it's not true so the biggest reason i did the
book is because i want other people to be able to have a great life and understanding this stuff to
a degree helps you to live a better life i wish i would have known all this stuff when i was a lot
younger right i know i've said that i've had to come to peace with that, you know, and now I say it's okay, because
I know that I had I had all this knowledge prior, then I wouldn't have gone through what I have
to actually come to the realizations that I have to help others, because I just want to shake young
people. So that way they get it right now. But i have to like stop myself and say no they have to go through it they do well i have grandkids and i know they learn a lot from
the ages of one to seven and i would like to teach those rules that are going to support them the most
to have them have the greatest life possible and you know the truth is if people have great lives
and it makes a great world and it just passes on and on and on and like i say i'm like you you're where you're supposed to be right now no matter what supposed to be for whatever
reason I don't know but I'm just in the right place right now always you know those are things
I had to learn did I like all of them no but some of them made me who I am today and allow me to
think like you say the way you are to help others and have a better vision of the world truth is
without some of the pain and suffering in my life I never would have wrote a book I would have done
half the things I've done in life but it's the pain and suffering that kind of drives you it's
a shame that we have to have pain to be driven but it seems to be one of the major factors
stop looking at pain as like a negative thing and anxiety and stress and emotions because they're just kind of like
this nudge saying hey I need some attention like you need to bring awareness to something
right it's like I used to think you know you feel anxious or upset no that means I'm growing
because if I feel those pain and anxious and everything the truth is that means I'm in a
state of growing and learning and nothing to me is that means i'm in a state of growing and learning
and nothing to me is more valuable than growing and learning so when i get those feelings now
i embrace them because it means i'm changing and that's all i would like every day is just
be a little better than i am tomorrow than i am today oh i just love you already right
you guys you know i don't know, but you seem very sweet and wonderful.
And the Dalai Lama says that Eastern women will save the world.
And I see women stepping up to do so many wonderful things.
And, you know, I believe that to be true.
You know, it's so funny how we get our wisdom sometimes.
You just triggered a memory.
I had taken my daughter to driver's ed.
She's 16. And this young kid, probably like 25
comes over and he puts his arms on my window and he goes, you know, sometimes you just got to let
them go through stuff. You can't jump in and you can't try to save them. And you can't tell them
what to do and what direction to turn. Or, you know, you got to let them come up with the solutions by themselves because that's how they grow and evolve. And I'm
like, who is this guy? Like, it was so wise. And I said, wait a minute, how did you like take all
of that away from driving with my daughter in the car? He goes, well, she's very precautious. She's almost like
too careful. She's so careful that sometimes I want to jump in and tell her not to be so careful.
And then her and I got to talking about how, when you're in the car, you're always telling her,
Hey, watch for this or turn here. He goes, sometimes we just got to let them learn on
their own. And I'm like, wow, do I owe you money for this therapy right now?
There's a lot of wisdom out there.
We'll just open our ears.
Well, and when you were talking about this pain, I was thinking, you know, so often I
want my son and my children to learn what I've learned through my pain.
And like you keep your grandchildren from having to go through that pain.
But unfortunately, sometimes that's the catalyst to them evolving.
So as hard as it is not to step in, we got to just let them go through it.
Yeah, I don't think there's any hope from stopping having pain.
But I do think there's hope in setting the rules and visions high enough that they can
accomplish all they're capable in their life.
A lot of us are held back from our dreams and our goals by rules that are set around
us that aren't good.
Opening up, you know, your visions to what's possible, allow you to live your life to the
fullest.
I want nothing more for my children than my grandchildren for them to be happy.
If that's whatever, playing video, I care what it is.
As long as they get that joy and happiness out of life and sense of value, people have
to have a sense of worth.
So sometimes if you do nothing, you destroy
yourself because you feel you're worthless. Been fortunate enough to hang around people that do
have lots of money. And that's one of the biggest problems people have is I'm not worthy. I don't
deserve it. You know, I'm not good enough. I mean, where do you learn that? I have a story I love.
It's called the golden box. And it's about a man goes
to heaven and with him is this giant golden box. It has his name on it and it's beautiful. And he
wondered, God, that's so beautiful. I wonder what's in this box. He says, life has been wonderful.
I'm not heaven, but a golden box here. And finally he says, well, what's in the golden box? And they
say, well, normally we don't tell you what's in the golden box but it's your box and you ask so you can open it and see and in it you open it up and in it is
all the gifts that god wanted you to have that you didn't accept so we're truly given everything in
life from the beginning we just have to learn to accept the gifts that come to us it's not a matter
of becoming worthy or being worthy we're already already given everything. We just need to accept them and live that wonderful life we've been given.
Yeah. Thanks for sharing. I never heard that story before.
One of the things I also loved about your book, you added in all these super cool stories like
that. I love that because I think you learn through that because it brings somebody to a place of like, oh, yeah, I've been there before.
I can relate to that. I love those little stories. They mean so much.
You a storyteller?
Well, I think I'm different, you know, because I was labeled as handicapped as a child.
Actually, you know, when I was really young because I'm old, it was kind of called mentally retarded.
And I was put in a special group, you know, but most of it was because, you know, when I was really young, because I'm old, it was kind of called mentally retarded. And I was put in a special group, you know, but most of it was because, you know, I had a few challenges with my parents when I was young.
I was a dreamer. I dreamed and they didn't want me to dream.
They wanted me to do exactly what they said.
And so they put me in a box and kept me there for a while until we moved again.
You know, so I always thought I was stupid and unable and not, you know, worthy of stuff. It took a
long time to get over those things, until I got older, and I
could read and, you know, kind of decipher life for myself. And
I realized that, you know, those are just brands and stuff. And
so one of the things that kind of gave me a good start is I set
my mind to focus on setting a track record in
junior high. And I just told myself, I'm going to do that. And I trained for it and did it. And
you know, that year I set the track record. Actually, I went undefeated that year and set
the track record and set a track record that was never broken, you know, but it was the mindset
that got me there. Because, you know, there's no reason why I should run fast. I don't have a genetic history of being able to run fast
and do stuff, but it was the attitude I think that made me.
And I kind of realized the brain worked like that.
And the truth is for a long time I was content
because I could get whatever I wanted.
I got the jobs I wanted and got paid well
and had a nice house and a family. You know, I studied a
little bit, but you know, you had your ups and downs because I didn't really understand it as
much. And then late in my life, about 10 years ago, my wife passed away. And when she passed
away, I just gave up on life. And you know, my daughter was a month before she got married.
My wife passed away. We went through all this pain and anguish and everything and uh you know but i didn't want to give up because i wanted to
help her but it was like you know you'd do whatever you could all day and then you know
the truth is laying bed all night and cry and finally i just had to put a different meaning
to that i did some research on you know stuff and and I like Tony and I actually did some classes with
Tony and realized that, you know, you just got to look at the good side of the coin. She taught me
to love and be a great person and so much and the blessings she gave me in life. And, you know,
life is a gift. So you're going to live your life to the fullest in her honor because, you know, she made my life a lot of what it is.
So to show how great of impact she had on me, I go out and live my life to full so I
can show her her love.
And I've actually, when I ran around, Tony met people that said, your wife is with you.
You know, clairvoyance people, whatever, several of them had said, you know, she's always there
with you, you know?
And so I'm trying to do
what I know would make her happy because it wouldn't make her happy to see me cry every day
yeah I'm really sorry about your wife that's a very touching story well it's that pain you know
but because of that time I wrote the book and studied and stuff and you know I'm very blessed
today and it is pain you know I'm sorry it happened that way you know, I'm very blessed today. And it is pain, you know, I'm sorry
it happened that way. You know, that's one of the things that made me do this. And sometimes having
that great life where everything's perfect is what kind of holds you where you are. And because I had
that disruption in life, I decided to do more with my life instead of just drifting through it.
You know, you wrote this book and what you're doing now with this book and talking about your grandkids. I mean, the one thing that I think
that our generation was lacking, Mandy and I were in our mid forties and ways is that sure,
go through the pain, but we didn't have tools. No one taught us any kind of tools to use in fact what we were taught was pull it together and act
right and just pretend be these actresses and I was pretty darn good at it I really was you know
I was I was I don't know I can't get an Emmy for the shows that I was putting on because, you know, I just, that's what I was told. I wasn't taught to embrace my
pain or, you know, given any tools like meditation, many of the things that your book talks about.
Is that one of the reasons why you put out your book? Like you said, you wanted to help, you know,
you know, the people now have another option rather than to go through
the pain with nothing other than drinking or taking meds or, or, you know, wallowing in their
pain for their whole lives. Yeah, that's exactly. I mean, I think the world does get better.
Actually, even with all the bad news, I think the world is getting better and there will be
enlightenment maybe 10,000 years from now, but you know, we're making the steps there. And by making
these steps and bringing everybody in, there's, to me, there's a revolution out there of consciousness,
understanding the connection to, you know, the universe through and the quantum physics explains
kind of how we're all connected, because, you know, they have theories that the split fit that
nothing becomes reality until we observe it. So we're co-creating our future as we come along.
And then we're connected, instantaneous connection between molecules and stuff that can
transfer information. We can do things that, you know, there's a group in Russia and America where
they teach kids to wear a blindfold, and then they can tell what
color things are and walk around things. And it's like, you can think from this part of the brain
or from deep in the brain or from the heart and realizing that those things have power in them.
It's like, I've realized that just where you think from, you know, you can kind of think, well,
most of the time you think from the frontal lobe because that's where we live, but we have all
these other minds that think, and if we go and try to come into these other places like deep in the
center of the brain or from the heart or from other places we have a kind of a different power
there so you know i'd love to be part of helping people you know it's just one step on my side but
there's people like you and thousands of this are making this movement.
And, you know, hopefully the one step forward to help others go forward and together we'll make this world better.
Yeah.
I loved how in your book, you say that your intent was to help people make that quantum
leap and make each step fun.
And I felt that like I'd get excited for the next step. I also feel like this
is a book that should come with a disclaimer. I mean, you'll be forever changed after you read
this book. There's no going back. That's very kind of you. I don't like to say much, probably
because everybody's lived such a different life. And I don't know what they've been through. You
know, some people have the, you know, hard lives and have a lot of different opinions on life and
you know I haven't been through their stuff so I can't judge them you know I don't know how people
get where they are for sure but you know they have some purpose and I'm not here to judge them I just
like to help them but your kind words are very much appreciated. You know, I have to admit, I'm very pleased with
the way the book turned out. And one of the things that make me very happy is my children
have said how great it is. Even my granddaughter said, look, look, my grandpa wrote a book.
I love that. It was really fun. And, you know, it gives you that sense of,
you know, pride and accomplishment.
And I'm just human. I like to feel that every now and then.
And you should be. I mean, you know, it sounds like the world put a lot of limitations on you when you were younger.
I feel the world puts a lot of limitations on a lot of people.
Like you were just talking. Those are limitations, you know.
We have to realize that those aren't there.
You're proof of that, Rick. I mean, my goodness, you know. We have to realize that those aren't there.
You're proof of that, Rick.
I mean, my goodness, you're a CEO of a company.
You have a beautiful family.
You've wrote this amazing book. I mean, you should be very proud of yourself.
And I think you're a great example of showing the world that there's no limitations.
Like, you can do it.
You can do anything you want.
Well, like I say, I appreciate that. You know, those are very kind words. Like I said, I just
want to be a better person each day. I think if you can build a mountain, one grain of sand at a
time, and I don't know how high the mountain will be, but I'd like to keep putting the grains of
sand on it. Oh God, you're so sweet. Oh my goodness. So I actually have one of the, a question that has
to do with limiting beliefs.
How do we reprogram a limiting belief that was subconsciously made by an event?
Like for example, in your book, the little girl in the treasure box, and I won't give
out too much on that story, but how do we reprogram that?
There's several ways to do it.
Hypnosis is one they've used, but most of it is between the daylight hours,
between when you go to sleep and when you wake up,
your mind comes together more at those times
and to decide what you wanna program into your brain
and then kind of say those things over and over to yourself.
The other thing I think works
that I don't really have a lot of tools on,
but music that's played at that time
that has those
kind of impulses or thought embedded into it, because our minds are highly bred to music, can
help change that thinking attitude. Most of it is like you have neural pathways that are built and
they build a myeloma coding over them as they go. So if you think it enough, it'll become an easy
way of thinking. It's like a football player. i want to think that thought so many times that it just naturally happens they do it in football where they say i'm going to throw a
ball and they just throw it and go through they want we're like bruce lee has a saying where he
said a kick was just a kick but then i thought about a kick and it had all these nuances and
i knew it could do this and that and that and that and I practiced it 10,000 times and then the
kick was just a kick again we want it to be so subconsciously embedded that it just snap that's
the first thought we have and the way to do it is to practice there's many ways to do it but I would
say one of the best ways is to repeat to yourself what you're trying to change and make sure it's a positive statement. It can't have any negative like I want to be or, you know, I wish it's got to be.
I am the most powerful statement would be like I am a great talker.
I am a great podcaster.
I am a beautiful person.
I am a kind person.
When you say I am to yourself, your body actually goes out of the way to make
those things true. And if you say it to yourself enough until you believe it subconsciously,
then those will just be natural things that your mind thinks of the second those become
of opportunity. I say to start small, but it's just up to the individual. You know,
you decide the best way is you got to decide where you want to go first. What's your plan?
Do I want to build a company?
Do I want to, you know, help children, whatever your goal is.
And then you look at that and say, okay, what do I need to do to be that person?
Just a short story is if you were a multimillionaire nowadays, how would you act?
And then the question is, why do you not act like that today? Because you don't need the money to act like that. You know, you just need the attitude to act like that. And you
just start acting like the person you want to be. I told my daughter that too. And when she was
young, she says, well, dad, guys are all bad. And, you know, and I says i says well you don't worry about that you just decide in the kind of
guy that you really want and you envision him and then you just go and be the person that would
attract him you know and that's one of the biggest blessings i really have in life is she married a
great guy she started off with a couple that weren't that good and you know she could have
ended up there but when she asked me for their eyes she took it on and she just and I told you got to let go of everybody too you can't have one
guy on hand and another one coming up you gotta just be alone and be patient until it happens
and when it does you'll know it's not a fantastic guy that you know beautiful children I'm you're
like I feel like one of the most blessed guys in the whole world with all the things I've
been blessed with. Sounds like it. You know, and just a suggestion to our listeners of what you
were saying about repeating over and over, and I am positive affirmation. I did that at the beginning
of my journey when I was trying to find ways to be mindful and i literally was
online researching like how can i do this this is very difficult for me i was taking classes
and whatnot but i purchased um 108 mala bead and you go around each bead and you say an affirmation
like i am loved or i am enough and you go all the way around
it and do that every day and one you're practicing mindfulness you're breathing you're you're focused
on just you know I am enough and then you do it for like a month and all of a sudden you're freaking enough it's amazing how it works it works very well so but you you were
enough to begin with you just opened that golden treasure box right you're always enough we're
given everything that's the problem is we're all given everything we have the same amount of time
in a day and we're given everything it's not a matter of being good enough or whatever. It's just a matter of
just accepting it. And you have to have action towards it. You can't sit on the fence and wait
for, you know, things that come to you. And they might some, but if you go out and put action
towards it and energy, you know, it's like to say where energy goes, things happen. And if you put
energy into your life with positive intent, it makes a big
difference. And the other thing I think that really holds people back is forgiving. You have
to get rid of that negative energy. You just have to forgive. Things happen. They are what they are.
That's the way it is. Forgive and just have a positive outlook on life. Sometimes you lose
and sometimes you win, but it's to help you grow, to hurt you true to us what is that quantum mindset well the quantum mindset is having a limitless thinking
like you know for me like one of the things that people do a lot on major love and the truth is i
have infinite love i have infinite love for my daughter and my son and everybody so now i don't
it doesn't get measured and you don't get categorized who's
the best you know we have so many rules that hold us back so the quantum mindset is understanding
that um there's many possibilities to whatever we are trying to accomplish in life and our energies
put out a wave that are going to help create that future. And by how we focus and thinking
and allowing ourselves to be have limitless thinking is going to allow us to create,
you know, lives that are greater than we ever dreamed. And by having this kind of mindset,
you can have anything in life you want.
In your book, you talk about the way we learn the quantum mindset is by unlearning. What
do you mean by that? Well, for me, I don't know about you, but when I went to school, everything
they taught me in school is not relative to today. They are things I had unlearned. You know,
they said there were atoms and particles and everything's really a wave and
so we have to unlearn a lot of the stuff we're taught like rules let's say we can't do this
we can't do that you know for for whatever reasons we've been taught things from our kids i hate to
say it but when you have children one of the biggest words you use is probably no don't do this
don't do that so we kind of teach them that limiting factor
to the beginning.
And then we were taught by our families what they are.
And the key is really truly believing that it's possible.
And I think if we can get a mental attitude towards this
that allows us to open up our thinking,
then we can have a quantum mindset.
It's just that's what we're into now is quantum physics and and it kind of explains it. The truth is, we've been taught these theories through
many generations, they're just called magic, or whatever they want to call them, you know,
meditation, and the physics of the world have never changed. We just have the opportunity now
to understand it more than ever on such a small scale. And, you know, we think we
know a lot, but, you know, the truth is we only made, you know, 5% or 10% of what the world exists
around us. There's 90% of the world that we can't even perceive around us that we don't understand
yet. I mean, there's a lot of new things coming for us that are going to make life, you know,
even better than ever before. Give us some examples i'm excited now i'm thinking about what is the 95 i'm not saying like colors
would be one of them you know they keep adding colors to the spectrum yeah did you realize that
in the roman days they didn't have blue they if you look through the things blue is a color that
they've added later on so and if you put a cat or somebody in a room like in
the jungle the people who live in the jungle have a hundred different words for green because they
have all these different shades so they have different words for all the different colors
and we can't even see them because we don't even realize there's so many different shades but
they've been brought up to see them so they see all these different colors so it's kind of realizing the world around you they even have put cats in rooms where they
only have like horizontal lines and then cats can't see the whole world correctly so the world
is growing in those ways and i think we're growing more like in our other powers like the kids i was
talking about in russia and america they have these groups where kids can shut their eyes and have blindfolds on and you can give them color and they can tell you what color it is.
Right.
You can see things around them.
You can feel things.
And we've all been able to feel for a long time.
You know, you go into a room and it feels not comfortable or it can feel happy.
You just feel when you go in there. And I think these feelings that we have said don't have any
evidence to support them are becoming more and more realized and are starting to be developed
because all muscles are kind of like, if you don't use them, you don't grow. So like if you
had your arm, you never use your arm. When you get older, you couldn't move your arm at all.
Well, those powers we have mentally are the same. If we use them as a child and they grow,
then we'll become stronger with them. And I think we're going to find that we have these powers to
feel the world and understand the world around us in a much deeper sense than we ever realized.
And it'll become more natural for all of us to be able to do that. That's one of the things I
think is going. And then science, you know, science is coming up with ways to do everything, you know, flying cars. And, you know, you go back when I was
a kid, and, you know, Star Trek was big, and they had the communicators and no people talked on
phones, it couldn't now today, so much of that has come true. And I think there'll be food evolutions
that will make a big difference that, you know, we worry about feeding the masses, but I think we'll come up with ways to produce
food that'll be able to feed the masses and more. And I think these things will happen when we need
them and help the world to just be a better place. And we can focus more on those energies of
creating a great life. I'm glad you brought up the senses and using the senses because
I feel that way all the time. You know, we're limited and told we have five senses. Well,
I think they actually added intuition. So I think there's more. So like you said,
we're starting to expand and starting to see that. Now I just lost two of my senses with COVID. So I haven't had taste or smell over two months now.
I know.
And like my sight and hearing is already going with age, right?
So I'm like, this is crazy.
I'm like using all my six and seven senses to get my life, to get through my life.
This is insane.
Mandy was in a coma for a week.
And when she got out, her senses were lessened.
But then she was seeing that other senses were becoming more heightened.
That one class, they were helping blind people kind of see and get around.
If we look at them, I think a lot of us have those powers.
It's just happening to make that muscle move.
What thought do I make to make that part rework?
It's like I
said, I found thinking in different parts of the brain, you know, like where you come from,
whether I come from the frontal lobe or the back of the mind or wherever, I can kind of feel where
my energy is coming from. It makes a difference of the results I get in my thoughts. So I think
we're going to do a lot more of that and we're going to find some big changes. And I think the way people change globally will start to, you know, pop up and it'll be much more accepted to
realize these are true powers that we have. You talk about feelings a lot in the book and
the importance of feeling and you even in some of the chapters with a meditation or being present
in those feelings about what you just
read. Why is it so important to bring awareness to your feeling and what part does it play in
manifesting the life that you want for yourself? Well, your feelings can give you an idea where
you're at in something. Like if you feel bad about something, there's a reason there.
If you feel really good about something, there's a reason there too. And what you're doing when
you're reflecting on things, you're trying to see, are there negative things
that are holding me back or blocks that I can find? Because a lot of times you'll have blocks
that you don't realize you're doing. It's like when you get hypnotized and they say, every time
you see blue, you'll bark like a chicken or whatever. It's kind of like that. They act like,
well, I'm not doing anything. Well,
subconscious thoughts in your real life are like that. It's like every time something happens,
you'll do this or that. But the feelings there, and there's a reason you'll get uptight and you'll
do it or something. And by identifying those situations, it's a way of finding the path back
to what caused it and trying to alter it. Because a lot of times if you can uncover the
thought, like let's say when I was a child, I had this event and I had this pretty doll and
somebody called it ugly and it gave me this funny feeling. And now when every somebody says doll,
I get a funny feeling, you know, from that event. I don't like it or something. And so if you realize
it's from that event and that's what happened, then you can go,
there's no reason for that.
I should never do that.
Drop that feeling, let it go.
And what am I going to put behind that meeting now?
Whatever I want, really.
That's the only thing we really have control of is our thoughts.
People can hold us down and do all kinds of stuff to us, but they can't control what we
think about.
That's how people survive prison and other places by where they put their focus.
And so it's very important what you think about and the emotions you create within yourself and the energy you create within yourself.
So while you're thinking, you want to see if the thoughts you're having are good for you or bad for you.
Right. And where are they coming from?
These subconscious thoughts,
they'll come in so sneaky. You'll not even know that they are affecting you until you're able
to connect it with the feeling. And then you can go back and trace where they came from and then
decide to make a new pathway, kind of like unlearning and retraining some of those conditioned thoughts from when
you were a child. Because again, another limitation that has been on us is that we've been forgetting
that we have this discernment within us, these gut feelings, these instincts. We're told to not
trust this. Now we have, let's look on Google first. I think think like you you should trust your feelings very much
there's a reason they're there do you have a hard time being around people that are like total debbie
downers that always see the negative in the world i mean because your vibration is so high sometimes
it can be disheartening to be around people like that how do you handle that you know i've had my
pain and i come from a point you know i try to come from other like that. How do you handle that? You know, I've had my pain and
I come from a point, you know, I try to come from other people's position. Why are you like that?
I listened to their words and I can hear what they're saying. I see certain things that they
say about themselves, you know, and I look for opportunities to question them, to help them
think differently because they just are coming from a point that's different than mine. And I
can't judge them for that. So the best way
I like to handle it is just, you know, you ask questions that'll make them think, why do you
believe that? And you just kind of ask questions over and over until maybe they, they take a look
at it and look at it a little different because they just have different roles than us. My father
has, unfortunately, since my, my brother passed away, my father has a attitude that there's nothing
bigger than him because nothing bigger than him would have allowed that to happen. That he prayed
every night for my brother to return home from Iraq when he was out there in the, in the army
and he didn't. And so therefore my dad refuses to believe that if there was a God or anything bigger in this ultimate divinity of love, that that wouldn't have happened.
And I'm speechless and I don't know what to say.
And I've never actually said anything.
I just let him sit in that.
But sometimes I wish I did have some questions that would help him think outside of that pain.
One question I always ask people and I asked myself that
changed is, is this how he would want you to act? Is this what he wants? You know, it gave you the
gift of love and all this stuff. What would he want for you? And are you going to not do that
because of something that happened to him? I mean, I don't understand like my wife, I can't explain for a moment why that
happened. It just did. Maybe it's better for her. Maybe it's better for something. I don't know.
Like I say, I don't know 90% of the life. But I do know that my personal opinion, after reviewing it
is she wouldn't want me to walk around in misery the rest of my life. She wants me to enjoy it and
make the most of it. You know, the other part i hold is i don't
know what happens to energy but it's a law of physics that energy cannot be created to destroy
it just gets changed and life is a form of energy it has to go somewhere i don't know if it's a
conscious life when you're done or whatever but it goes somewhere and there's a reason you know
it's just like our senses there's a reason, you know, it's just like our senses.
There's a reason that, you know, that is kind of a universal that we're all connected.
Now it gets into, if you're not part of my group, you're not accepted, but it's, we're all connected when things like that are so universally believed, there's gotta be a feeling or a place where it
comes from. And these are just my opinions. I hope I don't offend anybody with them.
So it helps me to be on that path.
You know, my heart goes out to anybody who loses somebody.
And that's got to be really tough.
And I know I thought like that for a while when my wife died.
Yeah.
So is that connection, that oneness, that force you're talking about,
is that the string energy you're talking about in your book?
What is string energy?
It's entanglement.
They have what they call entanglement, where in the beginning of the world, you know, everything was kind of together.
So all of the waves or anything, whatever, because, you know, it's's really a wave are connected together in this ocean
of everything whatever it is because the truth is we don't know for sure all this stuff but we've
got enough to know that there's kind of energy wave and it's connected and if we do something
to this particle it'll um result in an answer on this other particle and we're all connected like that.
So you know, when the world was created, we all started from the same stardust.
You know, like I say, we're all from stardust and those molecules could connect each other.
I don't know about you, but you can feel people, you know, they say you can actually connect
in the frontal lobe somehow when you're around somebody.
I think that connection is what makes us who we are.
We all are from in the beginning of the world,
there were just little tiny microbes
that breathed in carbon dioxide and breathed out oxygen.
And they did that for millions of years,
breathing and giving.
And then other things were created and they took in and give and really life, everything in life to me.
It absorbs another life form to sustain itself.
We plants and meat and animals and everything.
We don't eat dead stuff.
We only eat life stuff.
So they're giving their energy to us forward.
And it's been going forward
all through time. And our energies will be transferred forward all through time connected
through these molecules. It's up to each individual decide about the highest power. But, you know,
it does seem to be a universal belief. And I can't help but think there isn't some kind of higher
power that kind of we're all connected to and higher
power might be all of us together as one i don't know i've been raised christian i believe that
jesus did die on the cross and that there is a god and in the beginning of bible it says you know god
no name whoever the universal power it all fits within those beliefs to a degree
it's just when you put
profits into it then they say well you shouldn't do this and you shouldn't do that and you know
you know and if you're not in part of this group and i think there doesn't need to be just you know
all these different groups it'd be nice if we all came together as one and just believed that we're
all connected because i do think if you hurt someone, you hurt others and you hurt
yourself. You know, I think for so long, people have just thought so 3d and just have just thoughts
and focus so much on the physical. When, like you said, we're, you know, we're multi-dimensional
beings. Of course, our energy is going to be entangled. If you think about it on an energetic level, I mean, sure, physical, we can separate ourselves,
but we're not just physical beings.
We're so much more divine than that.
The I am never changes.
It's something that is within us, which I am also means God.
I always love that when I think about that, that the word I am actually means God and that, you know, that about me, the I am Shanna never changes.
Even if my body, the shelf life of my body and my brain and everything has a life, you know, and will actually, unfortunately, start to deteriorate as it is already.
You look very nice you know but i
am shanna lives forever even after i die you'll still talk about me and say shanna from sense of
soul podcast maybe have you heard the in like other religions like buddha and those they don't
believe they go to heaven they believe they go and be one with God.
They become part of it.
Instead of going there and being together there,
they go there and they become part of it.
So they all kind of have different beliefs.
But yeah, I think if we pay attention to the world around us,
there's so much knowledge that we can sense,
that we can add to to make our lives greater.
It will just open our minds and accept.
Yeah. And that's really all
you ask of your readers is just to be present and expand your minds. How do people shift into
a quantum mindset? The main thing is you got to believe that that's what you want to do. You know,
it's a matter of thinking positively.
It's like turning away from the negative.
I think the best way to shift to it is,
you gotta get rid of the negative thoughts.
You gotta say, I'm not gonna say bad things about myself.
I'm not gonna think negative things about others.
I'm going to have positive thoughts on a regular basis.
And then the other way I think is to be clear goal where you want to go. And I think it's like
you can run a race, but if you don't know where the finish line is, you don't have much chance of
winning. You need to establish where you want to go, you know, and I'm not saying the end point,
but today, you know, this year I'd like to go to here, maybe travel the world or next year I'd like to, you know, start my own business or whatever your goal is, or even get a new car or a house and set those goals and make them clear and have positive thoughts for them so that you can see them.
And as you build those successes, it'll help you reinforce those positive thoughts that allow you to move forward in the life. You know, I don't know why, but there's a, you know, it's like movies and there's a lot of
negative stuff out in the universe that's dumped on us on a regular basis through media and other
things. I don't think I see it so much when you go out into the world with people, but if you go
watch TV or listen to the radio or news, it seems like you're bombarded with tremendous
amount of negativity. I don't know if that's a way to try to hold us back or whatever,
or it's just my misconception of the world, but it just does seem like they try to push us with
all this negative stuff way too much and getting away from it would really help us.
Yeah. I love that. I always talk about, you know, being very careful
about what you allow your mind and your eyes to see and absorb because you can't undo it.
And I also loved in your book that you gave like these guidelines or steps or things that you can
change in your life to get this quantum mindset. And of course, the first one was love. And I loved that.
And then you talk about choices and authenticity. What other changes can someone make?
But the truth is who you hang around with. You look at your phone at the top three people,
what are the people you hang around with and how do they act? If you have such a deep desire to be
connected and part of a group, that whoever you hang
around with is who you're going to be like.
And so sometimes one of the best way to really change is to hang around the people that you
want to be like.
Well, I want to hang out with Carl Jung and Einstein.
That's right.
It's not as hard as you think.
There are groups out there that have those
type of people in them. And if you join them and go to them, you'll meet those people and hang out
with those kind of people. It just takes the action and the energy and the plan to make it
happen. We're all open to it on the internet. You can look up anything you want and you can see
whoever you want and you can talk to just about whoever you want the brightest of
the brightest on any subject we have so many wonderful gifts today to allow us to make those
changes that you know you have to get past the one belief that i can't you have to go do it
i did something very similar but mine was listening to podcasts i mean i started to you know i was
curious and really wanted to connect spiritually.
So I started listening to spiritual podcasts and that helped open me up.
But you're right.
There is a lot out there.
You're not limited to the negative news.
That's for sure.
There's plenty of other options to be filling your mind with.
I want to hang out with Rick Thompson.
Yeah, me too.
I was going to say that too. I would love to hang out with Rick Thompson. Yeah, me too. I would love to hang
out with you guys. If you ever make it to Seattle, you're invited. I'm so glad that you came on our
podcast. I mean, you've been on Fox and all over. You've done interviews with a lot of big people
and Mandy and I are very honored and humbled that you're with us today. I just wanted to add that
this is a musket book. If you are trying to become a little bit better each day, like Rick talks
about, this is the book to pick up. I am excited to get off this podcast and continue reading it
because I only made it to page 156. It has so much substance, but you really do break it down. The title is so appropriate,
The Quantum Mindset in a Nutshell. It's deep stuff, but it's easily absorbed. So thank you
for that because those are the kind of books I need. You're very kind. I'd like to say I'm very
humbled and honored to be here. You guys are fantastic at what you do and I mean the gift
of your time is the greatest gift I can receive well thank you
and now it's time for break that shit down
well I just would like to say you know in life we need to let go of the negative energy and forgive
and focus on the positive things that will make our life great.
Perfect. Thank you so much. It's been such a pleasure.
Yeah. Could you tell our listeners where they can find you and your website and any social media, the name of your book, where they can find that as well?
They can find my book on the internet. Just type in the name,
The Quantum Mindset, in a nutshell, and it'll come right up. I have a website with the same
address, The Quantum Mindset, in a nutshell. And if you go there, you can see different practices
and new things going on and have a chance to see upcoming events. We are working on some
events where we'll have a mastermind and gatherings because I love
connecting with people. And I'm hoping that people will be interested in getting together
and talking about this subject because that's one of the best things in the world to do to me
and just make our lives better. So I appreciate anybody to just leave a comment and say what
they think. And I wish them all the best life in the world. Oh, I love that. I also want to tell our listeners that he has some cool videos on there
from other people that have done quantum water jumping. I enjoyed those videos. I also love how
you say at the beginning of your books to be like water. It's a teaser. If you want to know what be like water means, then you have to read his book.
Yeah. And you also have meditations on your website, which I signed up for last night.
So I'm super excited to do those. And I appreciate that too.
Well, I don't know if you know, but I have a friend that I work with,
Thomas Lee Curtis, and he has a breathwork class that's in meditation that's
very very good he uh fits it and does this uh breathwork meditation where you breathe deeply
and absorb oxygen and it's uh very enlightening I would recommend that class to anybody if they're
into meditation and breath work because it really shows you the power of your breathing
yeah okay good to know Thomas Lee Curtis he wrote the
book the the world is yours he's an author also you can find him online and you know he's a
podcaster and author and you know helps people out and this breath work is one of the things
he's doing right now and it's a it's a giant experience you should just I'm sure he you could
get like one class for free and just give it a try.
You'll be impressed.
I guarantee you'll be impressed if you do it.
You know what?
You've met some pretty cool people in your life.
I've been very fortunate.
I feel very blessed.
I have met many wonderful people.
I think we all have the opportunity.
It's just action.
We're surprised.
I learned young that you can change the world.
Not young, but I learned in my life you can change the world not young but i learned in my life you
can change the world i started a company in dubai and india and i was surprised how much it affected
the world because they ended up doing like the freedom tower and other things like that and it's
like the world is big but there's so few people that go out and really try to change it that
we're all being called by the universe to
me to help the world and if you're willing to answer the cause you're going to do big things
all you got to do is say i'm going to go out and do it and most people just sit back and say nah
that's not for me accept it like you say put all that fear aside believe in yourself
believe in your feelings and do it and the world isn't that big we can do
those things i was surprised how much you can connect to the world by just doing it one time
and if you just do it one time just give it a try you'll be surprised how much the world will
accept you globally yeah yeah i love that you started in Dubai. I mean, what a horrible place to have to go visit
and work. Good thinking. It was interesting. I have to admit, India was nice. I've tried
different things, you know, and they've all been growing learning experiences that I
love to look back on. And I, like I said, I feel very blessed. And I always
thought as a kid, I thought I could never do any of these things. And it's like, you do a couple
of them. It's like, we really all can do whatever we want. If we just go out and act on it. It's
not smartness. It's not education. It's mostly just thought and action and communication with
others. And if you're willing to put the time and effort into it, the world can be yours too.
Wow. Well, your book is amazing, but you are even more fantastic.
Thank you so much, Rick.
Yeah, thank you.
Thanks for being with us today. We hope you will come back next week. If you like what you hear,
