Starting point is 00:00:00 Let's go. Hi guys and welcome back to another episode of Sex Slides and DM Slides with me, Safron Barker. And me, Anastasia Kings-North. So we are back for another week and back for another opportunity to deep dive into all things sex and relationships. But first of all, you just got back from the Maldives. Oh, I did. Your dream trip. Absolutely. and relationships. But first of all, you just got back from the Maldives.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Oh, I did. Your dream trip. Absolutely incredible. And do you know what? I really don't mean this to sound ungrateful because the Maldives has always been like my dream bucket list destination. However, I did always think I was gonna go
Starting point is 00:00:40 with the love of my life. I know, I know you did. Thought I was gonna go to the Maldives. It's very much like a honeymoon place, isn't it? And when I got invited to it, I just couldn't believe it. I was like, oh my God, this is incredible. But when it led to like a few days up before the trip, I was thinking to myself, do you know what?
Starting point is 00:00:58 Like, I kind of just wanna be home. Like as much as I'm excited, I just, I don't know, I'm so in the mood for autumn and like I wanted to get like my autumnal nails, which I've now got. I just, I don't know, I'm so in the mood for autumn and like, I wanted to get like my old terminal nails, which I've now got. I just, I don't know, I just, I actually thoroughly enjoy autumn, like for so many different reasons.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And I was a bit like, I'm obviously excited, but I don't know, I just, I felt like when it led up to it, and I don't mean this to sound ungrateful, but I was just a bit like, oh, like, oh, I'm going to, I don't know, I think it was a short trip as it, and I don't mean this to sound ungrateful, but I was just a bit like, oh, like, oh, I'm going to, I don't know. I think it was a short trip as well. When I got there, I- Yeah, how long were you there for?
Starting point is 00:01:29 Five days. But I have never seen anything quite like it in my life. I was gonna say- It exceeded every expectation. That's what I was gonna ask. Was it exactly like the pictures and what you thought it was gonna be like? Yes, and more.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Look, I've just never seen water that clear in my life. The sand was so white, it was just phenomenal. Yeah, when I saw your water villa, I was like, oh my God, that is literally the dream. Honestly, I couldn't believe. I know what you're saying though, because going on a summer holiday right now doesn't... I don't know, if someone said to me,
Starting point is 00:02:04 like, let's go to a 30 degree place tomorrow, I'd be like, oh, I don't know if someone said to me, like, let's go to like a 30 degree place tomorrow, I'd be like, oh, I don't know if I'm like feeling that. Like I'm actually enjoying the cold weather, which is a bit weird to say. The only thing I would love is a tan. Like I would absolutely love a tan. See, that's exactly how I felt, but let me tell you, it was very much needed.
Starting point is 00:02:21 It was just, it was out of this world. And do you know what? I don't know why I ever thought I needed to wait for a man. This is your sign. If you're wanting to go somewhere and you're like, oh, that's the sort of place I'd go with, with my future husband. If you want to go, just go.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Because let me tell you, it was absolutely phenomenal. And I feel like you can always rely on your girls. And the thing is you make the memories with them and you know, you're always going to have them in your life. So it's actually even better. And oh my God, the cutest activities that you were doing when you were painting, was it coconuts? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:50 That is just the most wholesome thing in the whole world. I love it. Did you bring it back with you? I actually did. I was the only person. I was so proud of my art piece. I was like, I'm absolutely bringing it back. Although you're not actually meant to bring it back, are you?
Starting point is 00:03:04 Well, I know you're not meant to bring like shells back. No, you're not meant to bring back fruit. I didn't quite realize that. Oh my God, yes. Yeah, so it's a fruit, but I obviously didn't realize that. Cause I painted on it. I thought it was just a like an art piece. But I didn't get caught, so I'm all good.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Okay, yeah, you're fine. Coconut is in the house. We are all good. I have got a coconut in the house, yeah. But there was no bad intention there. I totally didn't realize until I got home. No, it's an artistic memory that you needed to bring back. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Let's go. Let's go. And how was the white box party? Cause I saw that when I was away, I was like, you went to that party and last time we went, it was so much fun. Um, and I saw that you actually met Catherine in real life. So how was that? Um, it was so much fun. It was a lot bigger than the last one.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Like the place that they had it in was called Outernet London and it was like an underground rave sort of venue. So to get in, you'd have to go down probably like eight flights of stairs and then you walk in, it's just this massive box room. But they'd decorated it amazingly, but it was so bizarre. I can imagine going to a rave in there. But it was so fun. I mean, it was a free bar. So you can imagine how that went down. I always wonder how much budget they put behind these events. I would just love to know. I would minimum say it had to be a couple of million. Like, no. But when you think, but when you think about it, right, there's probably what?
Starting point is 00:04:43 Six, 700. Maybe that's too much actually. Maybe like 500 people in that room. Nobody's paying for a drink or nobody's paying for shots. Yeah, but that can't be a myth. But then I guess they pay for everyone's hotels. They pay for everyone's hotels. Everybody's dressed in white foxes, they send them all clothes. Everybody there, like some people might be doing content, which they've paid for.
Starting point is 00:05:04 They paid for Becky Hill. Then they've all flown over. Like realistically, I genuinely think it could be a couple of million, which is just wild. Like what the fuck? That is absolutely madness. Because when I think about like, I had there, and like the table that I was on, they'd given me,
Starting point is 00:05:23 they were bringing us bottles over. So you got to account for that as well. Like, I don't know how many drinks I had,, and the table that I was on, they'd given me, they were bringing us bottles over. So you gotta account for that as well. I don't know how many drinks I had, but yeah. It's nuts. Did you think this party was better than the previous one? Yeah, I do think it was better than the last one. Really? It was really good.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Yeah, I got, babe, I love Becky Hill. I was front row. I know you do, and I tell you what Callum does too. When I saw she came out, the first thing I thought to myself is Callum's actually in his element right now. Babe, I had tears down my face. Callum is right at the front. He got a selfie with Becky Hill when we met her in Ibiza and he's got this selfie up on
Starting point is 00:05:55 his phone and he's like waving it at her in her face. And then I got a video of her like blowing a kiss to him. It was the funniest thing. I was enjoying watching him having fun. It was one of those moments. Yeah. You're looking at him and you're just happy because he's happy. Because he's so happy. I was like, oh my God, this is so cute. But yeah, it was amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I met Catherine and she's so, so lovely. We did one too many shots and then we all ended up going to heaven after, which is just a lot. Have you ever heard of porn idol? No. So I hadn't either. So we get to heaven and everyone was like, it's porn idol tonight. So I'm like, oh my God, what is this? Porn idol. Porn idol. So we walk in and I couldn't really see too much because I'm quite small and we were at the back. But what I could see was a lot of boobs and a lot of willies and they were all on stage competing, climbing up this pole, like spinning around, dancing, the full lot to try and win 500 pound. So there weren't people that worked there?
Starting point is 00:06:56 No, these were like random people. I don't know if you have to apply. Wait, why did you say that? Why does everybody say that? Everybody was saying to me, go on Anna, you'd love that. Anna, you'd love that, you'd get your tits out. And I was like, guys, I'm not gonna do that.
Starting point is 00:07:07 But like, it would, actually, I would do it in the comfort of my own home if we were having a bit of a laugh. But like, this was like extreme babe. Like they were doing some real dancing on that pole. Like one of the girls killed it. And then they like judged whoever won by like how loud the audience was.
Starting point is 00:07:21 So we were all just cheering for this girl's tits and it was great. So we did that just cheering for this girl's tits and it was great. So we did that. What a night. Did that, couple more shots and then went home. We slept five in a bed because no, everyone just stayed in my room. So five people in a double bed, barely slept
Starting point is 00:07:37 and then deathly hung over the next day. Just normal. Honestly, like I remember being on a Face time to Byron and he was like yeah I mean I know we're meant to go to an event and we didn't go because we were so severely hungover I couldn't I literally like I Felt horrendous like absolutely horrendous Kyra bless her stayed over She had to get dressed back into a white fox dress and heels to go home stop Well, we went to go shake check. She went guys. I've got no clothes. So Brian was like, do you want my t-shirt?
Starting point is 00:08:05 She went, no, there's no point. Like I might as well just drop the full look. So she's back in her like bright blue and pink dress, pink heels, hair extensions in her bag. And we're sat in Shake Shack. This is the next morning? The next afternoon. And you're also having Shake Shack.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Oh, right, it's the afternoon. Yeah, yeah, yeah. At like 1 p.m. we were having Shake Shack. Oh my God, yeah, not in the morning. When I woke up, I was like, I'm so happy that check out is like 12. I was laying in bed., oh my god, yeah, not in the morning. When I woke up, I was like, I'm so happy that checkout is like 12. I was laying in bed. I can't believe five of you slept in a bed.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Five of us. And we were like- Like three in a bed, okay. Four, maybe all really small girls, five. Five, and it was two men in there. It was like, wearing a callum. But like, how is that actually possible? I was on the end, I bagged at the end
Starting point is 00:08:42 because I thought, I'm not being an idiot and sleeping in the middle here because I'm going to wake the heat. So I bagged at the end. I thought I'm not being an idiot sleeping in the middle here because I'm going to wake the heat. So I bagged at the end. Oh, see I think I would have rather have been in the middle. Oh, I don't know if you would have. Because on the end you're just going to get pushed off. No babe, I had those rooms
Starting point is 00:08:52 because I kept lying saying, I've got no room. I had so much room. I was loving my life. It was like me, Haz, Byron next to me, then Kyra, then Caleb. Wow. But all had to like lay with our legs interlinked, if that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:09:06 So we were all like spooning. It was just the most bizarre thing where I've ever slept. But it was an unbelievable night. I mean, we all know I love a good night out. And I think I've just covered. Yeah. We're having a great night out. Saskoona to Manchester this weekend.
Starting point is 00:09:22 We're going out. God knows where we're gonna end up, but I love this one. I am so excited. I'm so excited as well because Byron's coming as well. Yeah, Byron's coming out. But I feel like I've been to Manchester quite a few times and it's just been us two.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Yeah, it has. But I'm quite excited. It's actually gonna be the three of us. I think it's gonna be so much fun. It is gonna be one hell of a night. I think after this, we need to plan or like come up with a few ideas of where we wanna go. Cause I feel like we've mentioned so many places on the pod where I'm like, when you come to Manchester, we need to plan or like come up with a few ideas of where we wanna go. Cause I feel like we've mentioned so many places
Starting point is 00:09:45 on the pod where I'm like, when you come to Manchester, we need to go here. So we'll definitely go to Albert's. But do you know what, the few times that I've gone to Manchester and I had to really planned, like she's always booked a restaurant. Like you've always been like, what are we going here? It's booked at this time.
Starting point is 00:09:59 So I'm like, I dunno, I feel like you always book things and organize things, which is nice. I do, I always try to get some sort of plan. I mean, I know we're gonna end up in Albert's because we end up in Albert's every single time. But you said there's a place that's better than Albert's. Diecast, which I think we should go as well. So I think we should, yeah, we'll start in Albert's,
Starting point is 00:10:15 gotta have a drink in Albert's because that's our like ritual to do on a Manchester night out. It is, and what we do is we buy all the bartender shots. Oh my God, did I tell you that he came up to me when we took that bartender a hundred pound? I feel like maybe. Yeah, honestly guys, I tip people so much, but so they should because I just feel sorry for bartenders.
Starting point is 00:10:35 I think having to put up with everyone's shit. I'm just like. In Albert's like it's hell. Like those bartenders are like, it's constant all night. But no, I can't, I feel like you did Towie, remind me. Yeah, we tipped him a hundred pound and then he was so happy because he was giving us free drinks as well,
Starting point is 00:10:50 which I couldn't really understand why, he was just giving us free shots. So we were like, we'll tip you a hundred pound. And then when I was in a random pub, like a really random pub about six months ago, we clearly missed the memo because loads of people walk in on like a uni social when they're all dressed up in wedding dresses. And we were like, Oh my God, what the fuck
Starting point is 00:11:07 is going on? Like have we crashed somebody's wedding by accident? And then we realized we hadn't, it was a uni social. He comes over and he was like, Oh, do you remember me? Like you were the one who tipped me. And I was like, Oh my God. Cause I was looking at him thinking, I really recognize that guy, but I don't know where from. And he was really thankful. He said he made his night. so. Oh, I bet he did. I bet it did. When me and Sapphire cut next morning, we're like, how have we spent this much money?
Starting point is 00:11:31 We're like, oh. Yeah. We were tipping a lot. No, but he was so nice. I actually hope we go back and we see him again. I don't even know his name though, which is so bad. I don't remember his name, and I actually don't think he works there anymore.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I mean, I might've misheard him, but I'm sure he told me he doesn't work there anymore. But I'm sure there'll be plenty of bartenders at Albert's that we can sit. Don't think we need to worry about that. So this place, Diecast, is that like even more party vibe than Yeah, it's like it's 10 times bigger than Albert's sauce. But is it like still kind of like pub vibe or is it more like clubby? Like what is the vibe?
Starting point is 00:12:06 No, it's more like there's two rooms. So there's one room which has got like 15 different daiquiri machines in like frozen daiquiri machines. And that's like pretty much what you order. And then you go into like a back room and it's a huge room where people dance on the tables. There's like different like stages. There's like all bars.
Starting point is 00:12:22 It's more of a bar. Yeah, it's definitely not a club. It's like people can go in like trainers and jeans and like have the best night and it's like as busy as Albert's Oh, it's absolutely round if you go on the right night is that's why I went for the football I really think Manchester's better for a night out than London. I really do. Oh my god. I do times ten like yeah I love Manchester for a night out. There's so many different places you can go Depending on what vibe you want. It's just unreal.
Starting point is 00:12:47 We're gonna have the best weekend. We're literally gonna have the best weekend. Oh, I'm so excited. And also, sorry, I feel like we actually need to move on from us, but for Jasmine's birthday, so my friend's birthday, we're going to the Albert Slush in London. So I have to let you know what it's like
Starting point is 00:13:00 because it's just opened up in London. Also, we're going to Storm's House party. So again, intrigued to see what it's like, because it's just opened up in London. Also, we're going to Storm's House party. So again, intrigued to see what it's actually like. I walked past the Albert's in London, actually. It's in Piccadilly, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, well, it looks really good. And there's one in Liverpool that I passed.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Did it look busy? It was not overly busy, but I wasn't there. I feel like it's just not gonna be Manchester. I feel like it'll be good, but I don't think it'll be Manchester. Yeah, I feel like Manchester, Albert's is just like another level. Like the people that you meet in there is just,
Starting point is 00:13:29 the stories that me and Saf walk out of Albert's with every single time is just fucking weird. I still get phone calls from someone that we met last year. Oh, you're joking. Babe, you know, I did a screenshot to you when I saved in my phone, Matt's blue jumper Albert. Oh, I do remember, yeah. And one night I literally just woke up
Starting point is 00:13:47 and I'd had like 15 missed calls and texted from him saying he was in a casino and I was like, okay, like I'm not gonna join. So God knows who we're gonna meet this weekend. I'm very excited. Well, we will update you in the next episode. Yeah, we will update you on the podcast. But for now, let's move on to the topic of this podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:06 This is, so we're gonna talk about the autumn equinox. It's basically just happened. And we're now obviously officially going into the colder, darker months, which I'm actually quite excited for. For like, I'm kind of like done with summer now. I'm excited to feel like cozy and just, yeah, enjoy all of that.
Starting point is 00:14:22 But this is normally the time where people rush into relationships to help them get through these months. So we thought we'd talk about some of the phrases to do with dating that are going around, which is winter coating, which personally I've never heard of. Winter coating. Yeah, and cuffing season.
Starting point is 00:14:38 So I know what cuffing season is. Okay, cuffing season I know all about, but what the hell is winter coating? I have never heard of winter coating. And honestly, all these phrases are just making dating a million times harder because like- I really think they are. I think it's really unnecessary.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Yeah, who, I would never like, I don't know, text you and be like, right, I'm winter coating. Or I'm doing like- You know what babe, I'm still confused on love bombing. So if you've lost me at love bombing, winter coating is too much for me to handle. Okay, so winter coating is a dating trend where someone reaches out to an old like flame or fling
Starting point is 00:15:15 during the winter months, just like how you reach to the back of your closet for an old winter coat that may no longer suit you. So basically it's reaching out to an ex. Right. But given a very odd winter term. Well So basically it's reaching out to an ex. Right. But given a very odd winter term. Well, because it's easy basically. I assume because it's there.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Yeah, because it's easy and like, I'm assuming because in the summer you're more than likely to meet people out and about like on holiday or in bars or whatever. And I feel like there just is more distractions in summer. In summer, yeah, 100%. Like people are just spending a lot more, like I can completely see how that's a thing.
Starting point is 00:15:47 I think the name is so unnecessary, but to be fair, I actually kind of enjoy the name of it. But no, I can see this happening. I can absolutely see this happening. If somebody reaches out to me then, in these winter months, I'm gonna text you saying I've been winter coated. Okay, and we'll let the podcast know as well.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Yeah, I'll be like, I'm not gonna tell you who it is, but I've been winter coated. That is no longer- We'll let the podcast know as well. Yeah, I'll be like, I'm not gonna tell you who it is, but I have been winter coated. Have you ever been winter coated before? Well, the problem is I get it in summer, so I feel like the wind is gonna make no difference. Yeah, I feel like, I definitely, the thing is, I'm a firm believer in they always come back in any form. It doesn't matter what form it is.
Starting point is 00:16:24 They always come back. Yeah, even if it't matter what form it is. They always come back. Yeah, even if it's just a message or I don't know, a view of an Instagram story, whatever, they always come back. So whether this is in the summer or winter, it doesn't really matter. I mean, it has happened to me in the winter before, but I don't think it's happened just because it's winter.
Starting point is 00:16:40 No, but I can see it more likely happening in winter for sure. Although I feel like people see you in your glow up era in the summer. Yeah, it might happen in the winter because their summer flings didn't work out. They fucked all of them off. It was just a summer thing and now they're like, right now, who do I speak to? Go down the exes list or people they use to speak list. But like the thing is, I don't really, I don't reply to them. Like, no, neither.
Starting point is 00:17:09 If I get a message at winter time, I'm not gonna know if it's just for winter, but I can completely see how that is more of a thing. I can understand that people are probably a little bit more bored on an evening when they're sat inside, it's cold, they may be looking for a bit of attention or just somebody to text.
Starting point is 00:17:30 So I definitely can see how it is more of a winter thing because in the summer, most people are busy. They're out there doing stuff with their friends. It's not really at the forefront of their mind. But I definitely have been winter coated. Not this year though, yet anyway, but we're not in winter officially until October 1st. No, we're sitting in autumn right now.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I feel like you're even gonna notice it in autumn. Maybe, maybe I will. Have I been autumn coated? I kind of have been autumn coated to a point, but like I said, I feel like everyone always comes back, even if it's just a little reply to the Instagram story. I do. And they're always watching.
Starting point is 00:18:07 They're always watching. If you're ever worried or you're ever thinking, I bet they're not watching. They are. They are. I promise you they are watching. Yeah. Okay. They're moving on. So cuffing season. Now I'm pretty sure we all know what cuffing season is, but just to recap, it refers to a period of time where single people begin looking for a short term partnership to pass
Starting point is 00:18:40 the colder months of the year. So it usually begins in October and then lasts until just after Valentine's Day. So the use of the word cuff references handcuffs, but it's slang in the same vein as like hooking up or like getting hitched. So what are your thoughts on cuffing season? I fully believe like in cuffing season, because I think it goes back to the same thing as,
Starting point is 00:19:04 what was that previous thing called? Something winter coated? Winter coating. Yeah, like to me, it all makes sense. Like everyone is definitely lonelier during the colder months. Like even myself, like I know, I will definitely spend less time outdoors. It's actually funny, yesterday I was opposite my manager
Starting point is 00:19:19 at an event and then I said to her, how am I actually gonna meet someone? And I said to her, I'm not gonna go, I don't want to look for someone because I just want them to find me and that's what's gonna happen. But I'm like, how the hell is anyone gonna do that? Just like, you're aware you have to leave the house
Starting point is 00:19:36 and do you know what I'm getting more and more as I'm getting older, like I'm just less likely wanting to leave the house and less likely wanting to do things. I know now the weather's looking like this as I'm looking out into my garden right now, no part of me wants to leave the house. No babe, I have to have a really good excuse. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:55 To have to leave the house. So one thing winter coated would be easy, you know, like with an ex, like it makes sense, not that I want to do it with my exes, but like it makes sense. Yeah. Like, you know, the colder months, being indoors, it gets just easy. And also just the idea of just having someone there,
Starting point is 00:20:10 it's just so much more appealing than the summer months. But question, because your birthday is in October, how is that for you? Because I definitely think, I can see how coffin season's a thing. Like I feel like I way more likely wanna be in a relationship during these times and months. But during summer, my birthday, I'm like, let's party, let's enjoy the sun, let's go out,
Starting point is 00:20:35 like go, hot girl summer. So how does that, do you think that, do you think your birthday affects that month? So I think my birthday can affect it in a different way because I have like a cold month birthday. Obviously I would always go out for my birthday, like I'll always do something, but it's not quite like summer,
Starting point is 00:20:56 whereas for your birthday, we go to Ibiza. We're really like summer vibes and like in Ibiza, you know, a lot of people meet people. Whereas like for my birthday, because it's cold as, like I'm not thinking about that, but when my birthday becomes of an issue, especially if I was like to do this full cuffing season schedule, which I'm going to explain in a second.
Starting point is 00:21:18 My birthday is October 13th, which like, if I start speaking to somebody in September, it's like, okay, well, do we do something for my birthday? Like, are you gonna take me out? Are you gonna get me a card or is it that too soon? Like, it's almost one of those really awkward placed birthdays if I was seeing somebody. So that is the only problem with my birthday.
Starting point is 00:21:43 However, I am gonna be in New York on my birthday this year. So. No stop. That's my favorite place on earth. You know that I've been looking at New York. It's the only place I'm leaving the country for the rest of the year.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Oh yeah, because New York. And I wanna go back to New York over Halloween. Oh my, did you go for Halloween? Yeah, you did last year, didn't you? I went last year. It was absolutely phenomenal. And let me tell you, I know, if I say so myself,
Starting point is 00:22:04 I know all the best places in New York now. Yeah, I'm gonna need you to send me a list. Like I had, seriously. And I feel like I know more people in New York than I know in LA. Like I know so many people in New York. I think it is, do you know what? I would move there within a heartbeat.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I truly would. It's one of my favorite places ever. Ever, ever, ever, I would move there. Like I just absolutely love it and I cannot wait to be back. I love New York. I mean, I haven't been to New York where I've been able to go out
Starting point is 00:22:31 because every time I've been, I've not been like old enough to drink. Oh, actually that's a lie. I went last year with my mom, but like I couldn't go out, Atticus was there, well going clubbing. But this time I'm going with Tanisha and Friar.
Starting point is 00:22:44 So I know that we're going to be going out. So if you could send me some good places to go, because I literally know nowhere to go. Oh my God, there's so many good places to go. And like there's this place that's like Leo's and it's, babe, it is my favorite place I've ever been to. I would actually say top. Well, no, I wouldn't say it tops Leo's because it doesn't have like a huge stage where there's like a show. However, everyone dances on tables.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Like there's still like dancers and stuff, but it's more around the tables. But the food, I would say hands down, is the best food I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Oh, unreal, okay. I dream about this food. Every single thing that we had was absolutely phenomenal. Really?
Starting point is 00:23:32 Oh my God, okay, I need to go to this place. Oh my God, it's incredible. And they literally, you know, it was like an automated message, but I got a message about a week ago from them, like an automated thing, like Halloween's around the corner and so and so, and I thought, oh my God, no, that's my sign, I've got to go back.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Did you sign up to the mailing list? I think I did. You have to have the pasta, no babe, the pasta. Well, I'm gonna have to now because you raved on about it this much. I can't remember what it's called, it's really gonna annoy me. It's something beginning with a T
Starting point is 00:24:03 and then something beginning with C. Just check your mailing list cause you're on it. I know. It's really gonna annoy me because Speaking of that, I have it in my notes somewhere. Have you seen this now where Leo's opening in London?
Starting point is 00:24:16 Yeah, and do you know I haven't heard great things? Oh really? Cause I didn't even know it was open. I just walked past it the other day and I was like, oh my God. Oh, it's been open for ages. Oh, nevermind. Not me thinking it was brand new. Not ages, I think like a few months.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Oh, okay, and what? Apparently people aren't saying this is good. Apparently it's more like, apparently it's good, but it's like a strip club. Like it's not as like classy vibes. Oh, okay, yeah, because in Ibiza it's very like show, dinner and yeah, and in Mykonos it was very classy as well. And it's still the same thing, it's very like show, dinner, and yeah, and in Mykonos, it was very classy as well. And it's still the same thing, it's still dinner and a show,
Starting point is 00:24:48 but apparently it's given more like stricties. Rather than a very like, I don't know, I know what you mean. I don't know, I'd love to go though and experience it and see what it's like, but also at the same time, I feel like because Ibiza is so amazing, I will only be disappointed. The Ibiza one was incredible. Like I love Leo's.
Starting point is 00:25:06 And also even just the view, like when you sit in that restaurant, you just see a view of yachts. Like it's just phenomenal. It's insane. But anyway, I don't know how we got onto this. Oh, because I was in New York, back to cuffing season,
Starting point is 00:25:19 because I was talking about my birthday. Yeah, it's a really awkwardly placed birthday if I was seeing somebody. That is the only thing. But let's talk about the stages of cuffing season, right? Because there's a full, I've got a schedule here, which we're gonna read out. This is just kind of the most ridiculous thing in the world
Starting point is 00:25:35 because if people follow this schedule, what the fuck? So we've got the scouting phase. We've missed this phase. You look for a partner online. This is between- We've missed this phase. Yeah. This is between August 1st and August 31st. But no one's doing this. Surely. So if we haven't got our online partner scouted, unfortunately we've missed it. I think they need to change the schedule because I don't see anyone looking into August. Maybe they should bump like a back a month and people look in September
Starting point is 00:26:05 because I definitely was not looking in August. I was not looking in August. Like there's no way. No. Okay, the next one is the dating phase, which is September 1st to September 30th, which is where you pick your top candidates. So this would be now.
Starting point is 00:26:21 So any dates for going on now, these are the top candidates. Okay. I've not gone on one day. I've not got my eyes on anyone. So I need to catch up. Excellent, we're in the same boat. Then we've got tryouts.
Starting point is 00:26:34 So you go on many first dates between October 1st and October 31st. Oh, wait. Oh my God. Now, hang on a minute. Sorry. I meant- Do you know what, baby? You've really just broken my dream Why I had a dream about you
Starting point is 00:26:50 And I really upset you Why what did you do? So upset? I had to come home from Manchester. I think I literally flew home or something I can't even remember I got home that night because You were dating someone and I had no idea about the fact that you were dating this person and I'm like in the middle of a conversation where you're dating something you're dating so and so yeah and you were fuming why she was speaking to him that I had said in the middle of conversation oh my god God, you're dating Dan, I didn't even know.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Babe, you were absolutely livid. I went home, it was like Byron had seen me, I was so upset and it shed tears in my eyes. It was so weird, I can't even tell you. But sorry, you just broke my dream. I never remember my dreams. Well, that is definitely not gonna happen this weekend. There is not a Dan in sight. I don't think I know a Dan.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Tell you what though, I am gonna go back to this, but I had a really weird dream as well last night and I can still remember it now and it really fucking freaked me out. I dreamt and I did it because I'm on cruise TikTok, but I was on a cruise with my mom. You were on the cruise, Byron was on the cruise and I don't know if you know Becky Jones from TikTok.
Starting point is 00:28:02 I don't. Well, she was on this cruise, really fucking random. It's so random. Really random. But it's because she's just been on a cruise. And literally as I woke up, this cruise ship flipped over with us all on it. And then I woke up and I was Googling, like, what does this mean? This morning, it was the first thing I was Googling.
Starting point is 00:28:19 It was like, there's going to be a big change in your life. Like everything's changing. So I'm like, what the fuck is about to change? Because it was a very vivid dream and we were all in it. So everyone's lives hopefully are gonna be changing for the better. Well you actually Googled that. I've never Googled what a dream meant.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Yeah, cause I was terrified. What a dream meant. Cause it was such a vivid dream that I can still picture. But like my dream about you and Dan was very, very real too. Well, maybe I'm gonna meet a Dan. Because I just had to ask you if you're actually seeing someone called Dan. Maybe I'm gonna. I believed it so much. Yeah, you did. They're like very real too. Well, maybe I'm gonna meet a Dan. Because I just had to ask you if you're actually seeing someone called Dan. Maybe I'm gonna- I believed it so much.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Yeah, you did, like, oh, you see, no, maybe I, I don't know, maybe I'm gonna meet a Dan this weekend, I don't know. Maybe. No, stop it, if you did, I'd be like, right, it's a love for life. If I met somebody called Dan, I'd be like, Saf has literally dreamt and predicted this.
Starting point is 00:29:03 This. This. Yeah. She has predicted this. This. This. She has predicted you. So let's just, let's see if we can find a Dan this weekend. That can be our goal. So back to the cuffing season schedule. So I realized, I think I said the second one wrong. I think I said dating, but I meant drafting.
Starting point is 00:29:17 So this makes more sense now. So we've got the tryouts, like I said, going on the first dates all through October. So we've still got that to come. You know, we've still got, where are we? We're middle of September. We've still got six weeks. Oh, we've got time.
Starting point is 00:29:29 We've got time today. We've got six weeks today. Then we enter the pre-season in November. So this is where you get more serious with one or two prospects. Okay. See, I just can't date two people at the same time. See, I can't either. Like, I know people say it's fine to, but I genuinely can't. But I can't. And the thing is like,
Starting point is 00:29:55 I can probably, if I haven't met them and I'm just messaging people from Hind or whatever, I can text a couple of people because I haven't met you, like I'm just speaking to you online. But once I've met you, I can't go on a date with somebody else because, I don't know, I just don't like it. And I also don't- No, I feel exactly the same. And I also don't love it when the other person does it, even though they're doing nothing wrong.
Starting point is 00:30:16 And in my mind, no one else is doing that, because I'm not doing that. Yeah, 100%, but like people are doing that. Like people are going on- Yeah, that's fucking crazy. Which is just a lot, like I just personally can't do it. If you can date like that, I love that for you, you're getting your experience,
Starting point is 00:30:31 you're getting yourself out there. We just cannot do it. No. But, so that is November. So still got a long way to go actually. We've got two and a half months, we're good. And then you enter the actual cuffing season. So this is where you
Starting point is 00:30:45 pick your best match and be exclusive for the holidays, which is December 1st to January 15th. Wow. So you're in your exclusive stage. January I'm out of the country this year. So I'd let you tell you, I don't think that's going to happen. Where are you going in January? I don't know, but I know I'm out of the country. I planned of not being in the country in January. Well, we really did speak. I was thinking I'm gonna do a month in Australia. I was just about to say, we originally did say we were gonna go to Australia this year.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Yeah, like I actually think I'm gonna do a month. Well, I'll come and join you in January because I'm not doing anything in January. January is our quiet month. I think January is the quietest, the worst month of the year. So I would like the out of the country by then. Okay, well, we'll go to Australia.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Australia is? Yeah, we'll see what happens in Australia. And then maybe we'll have to start the whole cuffing season schedule again, because it will be summer in Australia. So it would have completely thrown us off. Okay, and then you have the playoffs. So this is where you survive the holidays and consider longer term potential.
Starting point is 00:31:47 This is January 16th to February 13th, and then you have the championship game. This is the official boyfriend girlfriend status and you celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. It's just all a very... That kind of all sounds really too good to be true. It's a very strict schedule and yet if it happens to that schedule, like I actually congratulate you because that's a very organized dating life,
Starting point is 00:32:11 which I don't have. So where has this come from? Like, is this, is this what most people do without even realizing? Maybe without realizing, like I think it would personally just be a bit weird if I like, you know, looked at the schedule and actually went by this schedule dead set, because I don't think it all works like that.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Like how do you know the other- That's what I'm saying, it's like where, where does this schedule come from? I think this might have, I mean, I might be wrong, I don't know, I'm just guessing. Somebody might have like done this whole thing and this is how it went for them. And then they've put together this schedule
Starting point is 00:32:51 and they're like, this is what you should do because this is how it works. Right. But realistically, girls, I don't think that's happening. And that means you're seeing somebody from August and they're not your boyfriend, girlfriend until February. Well, my eyes is a very long time. Well, you you're picking your best match in December. So you're dating other people
Starting point is 00:33:12 up until December. So August to December. I just know I'm sorry. I'm not a bit me because I can't bother to date that much. I can't. I am very over it now. I have dated a lot. How many times can I ask somebody their favorite color? Yeah, I quite frankly don't give a fuck what your favorite color is anymore. I don't care. But you're really good at dating. Like, honestly, I think if you go on a date, Anna, you're gonna have a great time.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Yeah, I'm good at dating because I love talking and I love finding out new things about people. And I always do have, I mean, I've had some really bad dates, but I've had some really good dates as well. But like now I almost just can't be bothered. Have you had some really bad dates? I feel like you've never really told me.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yeah, I've had some, well, just, but what I class as a bad date is like- Awkward? Yeah, almost awkward. Or like I'm really having to carry the conversation. Whereas like they're not really asking me much. Like it's me having to do all the questions and then they won't be like, what about you?
Starting point is 00:34:06 Like I've been on- Have you ever gone on a date where you felt like, cause I really haven't gone on enough dates, but this would be my biggest fear. Have you ever gone, which this is obviously very common, but you've gone on a date and you felt like they didn't like you. And so you're just there and you're kind of like,
Starting point is 00:34:20 when can I go? Kind of. Yeah, not that necessarily they didn't like me, but maybe they weren't like in the mindset to be on that date then and there. Like they had like better things to be doing. Sort of. Yeah, so I'm like.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Honestly, if somebody like, cause I can't imagine what they would have done to have felt like that. But if somebody's looking somewhere else and they're not talking to me, they're on the date. My problem is I'd be like, I'm over here. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Let's go. Let's go. I have one for you then. This was really bad actually. This really annoyed me and I never saw him again. So I went on a date with this guy in London, this is a very long time ago, and it was from Raya and he would not be able to look me in the eye. Everything that was happening around me was a distraction. We'd be talking and he would be looking at everybody else, but me, and it was honestly driving me insane.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Like I thought it was one, not only rude, two, I was just like, why, like you're an adult man. Do you think he was somebody who was just really bad with eye contact or do you think genuinely everything else was just a distraction? No, I think he was like a London finance boy who was there to probably sleep around. I was absolutely not doing that. So probably didn't like the fact that I wasn't going to do that. So he was very, I can't explain it. Like he just was looking at, I genuinely felt
Starting point is 00:36:00 like he was looking at other women and other girls to go and speak to whilst I was there. And then he asked to see me again and I thought there's absolutely no chance. But he asked to see you again. Yeah, and I thought I'm not putting myself through that again. Oh my God, I would have said something, you should have said something.
Starting point is 00:36:16 I so wish I did. You should have said maybe if your eyes were on me, then yeah. Because genuinely, when I was on the date, I was just thinking in my head, who are you looking at? Like, why are you looking at? Why are you so invested in everything else? See, I hate when you do that.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Yeah, I just think it's so rude. If I had ever done that, because I'm watching somebody, I would actually say to someone, sorry, I'm literally just looking at, I'm just seeing what this person's doing, then I'll be back in the conversation. Yeah, no, whereas he was doing that. Not like I'd do that on a date, but yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:39 But carrying on the, I'd be talking, and then a couple of times he'd be like, what? And I'm like, oh my God. See, that is why I can't do dating. Somebody said what? After I've just been telling them, I'll be like, well, if you looked at me, you would have actually heard.
Starting point is 00:36:55 Yeah. I just can't be bothered for things like that. Like I know you've got to have your frogs so you can find your prince. I'm fully aware. Of course. And you've got to go on dates. You've got to go out and find people, but I'm just hoping somebody finds me. Me too, because that's solidified
Starting point is 00:37:10 that like I'm really fucking annoyed at dating. Like I just cannot be bothered. Like I really just can't be bothered. When I meet the right person, obviously it will be so fine. But like right now, just not in the dating era at all. And I feel like me and you are very much enjoying that. But you never know, babes. This whole schedule, we're meant to be dating now. So you never know. It could happen for us.
Starting point is 00:37:32 We are meant to be dating. We've got six weeks left of our cuffing season schedule to find the one that we want to carry forward. Okay, question. Who do you think, if one of us was to be in a relationship by the end of the year, who would it be? Oh not me. No I feel like you've got more chance than me this year. I really do. With who? Genuinely? I don't know but I feel like you're going out more than I am whereas like I'm actually doing F-all. I'm going out I am going out a fair bit like I have been out a fair bit the last few weekends, but like, can I say I've met anybody?
Starting point is 00:38:09 No. Like I actually don't understand like how people do it on nights out. I say that and then when you go to Albert's last year, it was very much the opposite. But like, I don't know. I don't know. I personally, maybe I understand why you're saying
Starting point is 00:38:23 it'll probably be me over both of us, but honestly I think it would be you. Like genuinely, I don't know. I personally, maybe I understand why you're saying it would probably be me over both of us, but honestly, I think it would be you. Like genuinely, I don't think I like, no, there's no way. There's no way. The day that you tell me you're in a relationship, I am going to be a little shocked. The day I tell you that I'm actually in a talking stage with somebody where it's actually going well, is going to be a what? I'll have to get that day tattooed on me. Babe, maybe it's going to happen in New York. Oh my God, it's going to happen in New York. Maybe it could happen in New York.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Maybe, but then I don't want long distance relationships. Actually, please don't happen in New York. I just love someone a bit closer. Really, would you like someone in the Manchester area? Yeah, and we know there's so many good looking people in Manchester, like everyone's fucking gorgeous here. Yeah, okay. So I would-
Starting point is 00:39:07 It can happen for you, it will happen for you actually. Not it can, it will. It will happen for the both of us when the time is right. And I'm not looking for anything right now. I'm just very content doing me and just having fun with the girls. And I'm like you are too. That's why I'm excited this weekend
Starting point is 00:39:23 just to go out and have fun. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm like you are too. That's why I'm excited this weekend, just to go out and have fun. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited, girlie. Well, I think that's a good way to round this episode up. Let us know if any of you has ever followed that cuffing season schedule.
