Welcome back to another episode of Sex, Lies, and DM Slides with me, Anastasia Kingsnorth. And me, Saffron Barker.

We are back for another week and for another opportunity to deep dive into all things sex and relationships. the one thing i will say is the weather is 30 degrees right now don't i lose guys 30 degrees i am so how do we not get this in the uk but it's summer right now it is chucking it down with rain i woke up, grey skies. It's funny because I was at the F1 the other day and my dad and I were watching the F2 before the F1 starts. And so this was in Silverstone. And my dad looked out and the weather was disgusting. It was completely grey skies, rainy, cloudy, awful. So just awful.

people that you end up going clubbing with are also traveling they're not really like Australian people like when I was going out I was going out in like the hostel clubs so maybe that's why because like if I lived there like in Manchester like I wouldn't go to a club probably where people traveling would go to I don't know I don't really go clubbing anymore to be honest but like I thought maybe like that's why because I loved the nightlife in Australia like I thought it was insane but maybe that's because I haven't been there before and she's lived there her whole life right okay and if you're doing like the hostel clubs I guess they're very different I yeah because she was like if you went to Sydney you went to a club she's like there's one club that I went to one club in Sydney and yeah it was it was okay I wouldn't say like but people love sydney people

say sydney's meant to be like the best place in australia but i went there at the start of my trip so i was so jet lagged so for like i didn't love it as much as i would if i went there and like stayed there for like a month um but yeah i only went to one club in sydney i went out mostly in noosa and in cairns and in Cairns there's a hostel called Gilligan's and it's a clubbing hostel and I've never seen a clubbing hostel? that's actually a thing, a clubbing hostel

all the hostels are on one side and then the club is on the other side but all the communal areas are in the club so when you're just going to get lunch and breakfast it's all in the club it's constant it was insane so was the club on it's constant like it was it was insane so was the club on 24 7 it was on until well we'd be going to bed at three or four and it'd still be on

so i don't know what time it finished and what time it started but like yeah it was it was 24 7 and when i tell you it was packed like you could not move that is crazy yeah and to be it was really fun because that was the last place i went in australia and we stayed there for a week and it was so fun just to go a bit wild for like the last time traveling but was that where you told the guy to shut up and kiss you that was where i told the guy to shut up and kiss me that was it that's i mean that's the sort of like fun you can have like in that sort of club like it was just that sort of place yeah that's obviously very different to her because she wouldn't go there because she lives there right no yeah you just like if i live there

there's no way i'll be going there but like for traveling i feel like it was fun but in bali like there was honestly for me i thought it was the party scene was amazing but it wasn't like i thought it was going to be like when we first got there we went to a place called like motel mexicana i think because i saw it all over tiktok everyone was going crazy for it um and i thought it was really good me jen and imogen stayed in there until probably like two in the morning um and we were like we need to call this a night we're knackered and it was really good but then like finn's beach club that was amazing yeah that was i was about to say did you not surely see some gorgeous yeah no some australian

i did i did see there was a gorgeous australian man who looked a lot like chris hemsworth like that sort of vibe yeah he was really tanned he was blunt he had like he looked like action man like his body was absolutely ridiculous and he was beautiful and there was another beautiful guy i saw as well but i just didn't have the confidence to go over to them like i just i just oh my god you should i know i kept saying because i dragged hasan byron in the pool with me and i was like these guys are gorgeous but i was just also though they could have just come over to you why did they exactly exactly and that's the attitude did you not like give eye contact because i think if you give eye contact they'll always go yeah if i should have to be honest i should have given more eye contact than

i did i probably didn't make it that obvious I spoke to an Australian guy at the bar and he was lovely but again like I felt like it just wasn't it just wasn't that vibe which I was really sad about because I was very much in the mood to be like right come on like hot girl summer like let us have some fun but it really wasn't but the nightlife is amazing Finn's was so good that motor makes car because I was, when I look at Finn's, I think of like a really nice beach club in Ibiza. Yes. Yeah, it was like, it's like a nice of,

oh no, because O Beach is really nice still. I say it's like the O Beach of like Bali. But like a nice, but it is probably a nice of O Beach. Yeah, I think just because like it's in Bali, it looks nice and charming. I love Ocean Beach, but it's not, you know.

Yeah, it's not like the most visually amazing, whereas Finn's like visually beautiful like it was like right on the city it's giving more um like blue marlin sort of yes yeah yeah 100 but yeah that was so that's why I thought you were going to come back and tell me these stories and you met these guys oh babe I really really really wish I did I literally spoke to one but that Australian boy at the bar that whole trip and then actually we went out on Gilly Tea so Gilly Tea was like this little island off of Bali and it's kind of just a bit like party everywhere like the nightlife kind of felt a bit like Magistrip when you were walking down it like it gave very much that sort of vibe so again went on TikTok like searched the best

places to go and found there was this place called tequila sunrise and i ended up staying out with haz everybody else went home and i was like guys i was like it's our last night out like we've all got to stay out everyone went home so that has you're staying out with me staying out babe you know if i was there you know i would have stayed i know you would have been out until early hours in the morning with me and it was so fun I went there and then I was so drunk. Like I was ridiculous that night. And I got back and I bought a cat back with me. A cat that I shouldn't have been touching.

Yeah, I bought a cat back with me. I'm going to have to send you the pictures. You bought a cat home with you? Yeah, because there's so many cats and dogs, right? You're not meant to touch these cats and dogs. If they've got collars on, they're fine. This cat did have a collar on. Well, yeah, they're straight.

Yes, it was fine no because my biggest thing is like i can't touch a stray cat or dog i know it sounds horrible but i'm so scared oh yeah no no i wasn't all the ones that didn't have collars on i was going nowhere near but this cat had a collar on so something in me was like oh it's fine i'll touch this that's worse because you've literally stolen somebody's cat no i know but it was like the cat of the hostel so like it wasn't like i stole like a random cat off the street imagine i just picked up a cat and walked it home but then i brought the cat into my into the room but what did you get were you carrying it i don't know i can't remember but the cat was with me in the room and i got back and byron was in the room and he was like what the fuck so me and has brought this

cat back and i'd also stopped and got pringles on the way i'm eating the pringle with the cat in my mouth I'm feeding the cat the Pringle there's pictures of me please tell me you have a video of this wait no no you have to show it let me show you if Byron's awake hang on let me text him and get into something this video I literally was yeah I don't know what possessed me was feeding this cat with the Pringles um like I was like a lady lady the tramp style with this cat so that was about the much action that i got in bali me and a cat sharing you know what babe at least they're loyal no honestly i can count on that cat more than i can count on any man it was so cute if byron will send

me the pictures and i can show everyone it was so embarrassing and then i literally woke up the next morning i said why the fuck did i bring a cat back and why was i sharing my food with a cat like how do you even get that like i don't know the alcohol was hitting me baby clearly you just had this bond i just loved that cat there was something about it so you went on you met no guys and went on no dates in bali i'm genuinely surprised yeah no guys no dates in bali but i did go on a date with somebody before i went to bali did you yeah i went on a date with somebody wait was i still in the us yes yeah you were oh my god how did i not know yeah i didn't really tell anybody about this because it was just more like i was in london and i just went for like a casual drink with him um but we ended up saying, we went to 180 The Strand, which is like a Soho house.

It was really, I'd never been there before. It was really nice. And yeah, he was very much, he's so lovely. Very much finance bro. It was giving like, I'm looking for a man in finance. Like it was very much that. Like I'd never really been. How tall was he?

He wasn't six five. I'd say he was like he was maybe six foot push if he was six five that would have been unbelievable um but he was lovely I haven't obviously I've been away to Bali so I haven't seen him since but he has messaged me since saying like how was the trip so I might see him again when we're in London next week I don't know but yeah he was lovely although the only problem I was facing right so i matched him on raya this is how i knew him so i finally went on a ride date and i forgot this is not the guy that you're going on a date with no no this is a different guy she's back in her dating era but this is a different guy no and so you should be babe it's a summer i feel as if we all genuinely thrive during the summer

one million percent i feel like i'm thriving right now because it's the summer but that's probably also because the blue skies are out i was gonna say i was thriving more yesterday when it was sunny and now it's raining not so much but as soon as the sun comes out i love it i'm just my happy like best self but this guy this is the only problem i'm facing and i still can't remember having asked him i don't't know how old he is, right? So I tried to stalk him. Google him. Babe, I've done done that i've found a linkedin and everything can't find anything i've gone right down his instagram to try and find a birthday post can't find anything judging by his friend's age i think he's close to 30 yeah i reckon 28 i mean just a guy that's like that much in finance yeah and when he's explaining an example what he's like when you're saying finance what like when he was explaining it's like he worked he does work in he worked in like finance i'm sure he does when he was explaining to me his job i was really drunk i can't you don't even know what he does either no i don't you just don't i don't he was really good looking i don't remember what he did and he oh he said he did tell me what he did like when

out on first second date you know when people ask like what's your five-year plan I mean it's a bit it's a lot but he'll probably go well I'll be 33 then imagine if he goes but I'll be 35 then so I'll be like oh you're 30 yeah but I can't then you can also not say that then you've asked the question yeah literally but the thing is I kind of like that he was a bit older like I feel like I need to date a bit older um but yeah I don't know if I'll see him again it was nice but then yeah I've just been I've been back on the dating apps hinges are really working out for me anymore I've kind of given up with that for a while Raya has actually well what Raya is working out with me more than anything right now which is wild
