Welcome back to another episode of It All Happened.
So Luke and I missed a couple of episodes.
We had life going on, as you know,
if you listen to Balancing Act.
But we are here to catch up on episodes 13 and 14
because we have the big, I think the finale next week,
or maybe it's a finale part two,
or like two parts, I'm not sure.
I'm guessing it's a two part.
Okay, so right now we're not gonna recap,
but we are just gonna catch up with our opinions on episodes 13 and 14
Yes, and episode 13 is called Jack's attack something that Kristen's very familiar with absolutely and I am learning about
And then what's 14 14 is?
Tom for Tom's old sake world Tom's for old Tom's sake. So we have Jack's attack and for old Tom's sake God
That's a throwback to my VPR OG days. Okay, well we open up with our catching up. This feels like a little like
Valley VPR crossover. It's like a little OG. We have Jack's at James and Allie's house, which is
weird as shit to me. Like what is happening? What world am I living in that Jax is going over
James' house?
Well, Jax wants to host brunch.
I know, but Jax can host brunch
without going to James' house, but sure.
I think James was a segue in there
because it certainly doesn't sound like Lisa
would have said okay.
I think if I wanted to host brunch at Sir,
I would just literally call Natalie and Guillermo
and go, I wanna host brunch at Sir
and I want a different DJ.
But Jax, yeah, that's just Jack's way sure sure is so that basically all they talk about
There is the Katie rumor Katie starting the rumors about Jack's cheating on Brittany
Which Kristen has said does not believe is true
Yeah, what we're hearing is that Katie saw some reddit rumors and Jack's is saying that Katie
Started or is spreading these Reddit rumors.
I do not think that Katie's Katie has enough shit going on in her life.
She is not going to be starting rumors about Jax Taylor cheating. Oh, I certainly don't think she made it up.
Yeah, but there is something to be said about spreading something you read on Reddit. I think that is stooping a little bit
Personally, if you read something on reddit, that's fine
but to go
spreading it as if it's true about somebody else that you know, I can not condone that activity.
That is messed up if you ask me. I'm trying to put myself in that position.
I'm trying to think. So Katie's not friends with Jax whatsoever. And she says,
sometime during these two episodes, that the reason she's not friends with Brittany right now is because there's a strain on her friendship with Brittany because of Jax.
So all of that being said, I'm trying to put myself in that position like, well, I'm not friends with Lala right now.
So let's say Lala has a boyfriend and I start reading rumors that Lala's boyfriend's cheating on her.
Would I go to Katie if Katie was friends with her? I don't know. Maybe I would.
Maybe I would be like, dude, I read these rumors. I don't know if they're true. I'm not going to
spread them around. But Katie didn't go to either Brittany or Jack. She just started telling friends
that there's all kinds of rumors online about Jack's doing these things. So think about it this way.
What if Lala started telling everybody in the friend group as you read on Reddit that I'm cheating on you?
Too shy.
That's fair, because that changes my perspective a lot.
I guess I'm just trying to give Katie the benefit
of the doubt where she's like in her heart of heart,
she still cares about Brittany and she doesn't like Jack.
So she's, because of Jack's past,
she's like toying with
and considering whether these rumors are true or not.
So I don't freaking know.
All I know is that Katie didn't start them.
I don't think anyone should be spreading them.
I think Reddit is a God awful place,
except when you guys are really nice to me.
So please keep being nice to me if Reddit people are listening.
It's a bad gossip place.
There's positive threads.
There's things you can learn.
Reddit has other, you know, a light side,
not just all the dark side.
I think that what's, for me, what's dark about Reddit
is that you don't have to ever own who you are.
You can make up as many fake handles as you want
with as many fake email or like real email addresses
that you can make up.
So I know people who have multiple Reddit names
or whatever you want to call them.
Handcuff.
Excuse me.
So I think that's where Reddit bothers me because I'm like, you could literally be anyone saying anything you want and no one would ever know.
And I think that's what bothers me.
Anywho, that's what they're talking about.
And again, why is he talking to James about this?
And James is like, oh, well, I got to go with like history and trust.
And that's with Katie.
Dude, Katie couldn't fucking stand you until five minutes ago.
Anyway, then we have the Brittany going over
Sheena's, which is so cute and summer moon was like, Brittany.
Oh, she just makes she's just so cute.
And they're discussing like pregnancy.
Brittany is saying in this moment,
she and Jax are going to try to get pregnant.
And Sheena is obviously expressing her fear,
even though she's, she would love to have more children,
but she's terrified of getting pregnant
because of what happened during her labor with Summer Moon.
And Sheena also says, you know,
Brock and I have been at each other's throats lately
and you know, just kind of,
they're kind of like having their like,
their girly moment, their mom's moment,
their husband moment.
They discuss Sheena's anxiety a bit,
which you know, I totally understand.
And I don't even have a kid,
but I can just like sympathize with Sheena.
Yeah, absolutely.
On that.
And I'm proud of Sheena for continuing to discuss this
because it's not an easy thing.
And I do think that it's helping women out there.
And simultaneously Brock is talking to his old business
partner, Luke, ironically, not me.
They have their talk about the nanny and you know,
I really understand where Brock is coming from feeling like
he needs a purpose here.
Ever since he sold his gyms, I mean,
being here in Los Angeles,
I don't feel that I have a purpose.
Yes, I have work, but it's not something
that's fulfilling for me.
I don't have this, I don't know.
No, I get it.
I mean, the way Brock worded it, he said,
he's happy where he is, but he wants a career
that he feels will give him more of a purpose.
Because he had that when he had his gyms, they went to the doors of the NFL.
Things were just, he was thriving, he was flourishing, he was so happy.
Because I think all, most of us know, and Luke, I know you know this, I know this as entrepreneurs,
if you have something that's just yours that you really built or you built with a friend or a business partner,
it really is one of the most fulfilling things to see that get off the ground
and succeed.
And the pandemic really did take that away from so many people.
Right. And it's also not a gender or, you know, a sex kind of thing.
Men and women, it's just individual to individual.
I know people that are happy being Mr. Mom,
as well as women that are wanting to be stay at home moms. Like there are people, it's just person to person.
It's not male and female anymore.
But I think everyone needs something for themselves.
Right, but what I'm saying is sometimes the family
is fulfilling enough for an individual.
That's fair.
I don't think though that Brock's saying
it's not fulfilling enough.
It's just like, he wants something for himself.
And that is so respectable and understandable.
And I think we both empathize with that very deeply, especially you.
Yes.
Being in a city that's not your like home base.
Right.
I mean, I'll be honest, if I sold everything I had in Colorado and was just out
here, I would probably be depressed.
Right.
Yeah.
If I just, if I had sold out on everything I had built up to this point and was out here doing this,
it wouldn't be positive for my mental health. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So I just think that was like a really, again,
I just, I have a lot of respect for Sheena and Brock this whole entire season for being so incredibly vulnerable,
which this will continue on when we get to their anniversary night. So before that, we have Tom and Katie Maloney
having a little friend date at Mel's diner.
Talk about a throwback.
And I really liked Katie's vulnerability in this
where she, you know, they show this montage
of Tom and Katie's history,
but it's like they've known each other 12 years.
You know, they were married, they were very best friends
before they were married, while they were married.
And Katie says like, it is a little odd to be so close to someone, like ride or
die with someone and then suddenly just become strangers.
So I really loved this.
It just, it filled me with all the nostalgia and the whole wide of world.
But of course they have to make it their quirky funny way.
And it's like Schwartz being like, so what's your dating life like?
Oh my God.
Oh, man.
And the whole Tory competition that was hysterical, Tory test.
I'll call it the Tory test.
Ah, Tory, I fucking love you.
I love you for just being on the season because it was just a shining light with your pink hair.
But it was so funny because they're like, all right, it's texture at the same time and see.
And I was like betting in the moment when I watched it.
I'm like, she's totally gonna text Katie back first.
But I'm on Katie's team that Katie texts her first,
then Tom did, so Tom's at the top of the text chain.
Or she heard the first one go off
and when she pulls it up, then another one pops up.
Yeah. So she clicks it.
So Tom's at the top, technically.
I get it, yeah.
So he won by two minutes, whatever. But Katie got some tongue. Tom didn't. Hey, and I can't wait until we
get to discuss Tom proposing a one-night stand with Katie in the next episode. I'm
just loving this Tom and Katie banter. I love that the anger and the hate and
the not hatred but like the animosity has dissipated a bit.
I mean, there still is clearly a little flame there.
Oh, don't make my hopes high.
I mean, I'm not saying there's any chance
of them getting back together,
but I think you see Katie Blush
and this like, this cute little smile.
She's still, how could there not be something still there
with so much history, so many years together?
You know, you can't just.
Because this is the cute, fun, quirky Tom that Katie fell in love with as her best friend and then it fell in love with you know as her partner
But they're just in very different places in their life
This is just nostalgic Kristen Katie don't kill me for this
But hoping like five years down the road Schwartz is really gonna have his shit together
Katie's gonna do her thing and then they're gonna be like, let's get back together. I
Know I'm wrong. But still who Who knows? It could happen. Do it for me.

Hey there, podcast listeners.
Let's talk about something many of us can relate to,
the dreaded pre-period week.
You know what I don't miss at all?
That vicious week before the period.
Personally during that time, I used to feel like I wanted to crawl out of my own skin.
And those cravings?
Oh boy, I could have eaten my own hand off if it was rolled a batter and deep fried.
Plus feeling a bit down or off was just part of the package.
But guess what?
It doesn't have to be that way anymore.

Now we get to Sheena and Brock's anniversary date and I will say this with Tom and Katie's fun scene
It was like my favorite scene of the whole episode.
I'm just going to say Barton G's looks like so much fun. You were just telling me that it's wild. Yeah, let's do that.
We need to do that at some point. Yeah, it's like a fun place to go once in a while. It's pricey, but it's all about the presentation.
Like I was showing Luke in the background, like if you order popcorn shrimp, you get this giant popcorn machine with shrimp in it.
And there's like, when you order this one chicken dish, you get like a bird cage and
all the drinks they have like nitrous drinks, like not nitrous oxide, you guys, but like
nitrous like me making it really, really cold.
So that little popsicle because you know, liquor doesn't freeze, but at a certain temperature
at will.
So that little popsicle that was in Brock's freeze, but at a certain temperature it will. So that little popsicle that was in Brock's drink
is kind of like a liquor floater.
Anyway, it's just a really cool, interesting restaurant.
So if you guys are in LA, I recommend going to Barton G.
It is in West Hollywood.
I think it's on Los Yenega.
But anyway, this date, their anniversary,
which was their second anniversary.
I'm sorry, their first anniversary,
but technically their second, which was their second anniversary, or I'm sorry, their first anniversary, but technically their second,
because they technically got married, yeah.
But they were discussing their success
and their insecurities,
and Brock was just expressing to Sheena,
like, I wanna take all this pressure off of you,
which I thought was so beautiful, so vulnerable, just
really a beautiful thing to say.
And Sheena says, well, you do because you are present for our daughter, so I can work.
And then when she said it's like your second chance at being a dad, I feel like that term
can be taken in different ways because I'll just say personally, like my brother and our father adopted two children
later in life and we didn't feel like he was a dad to us.
So it was like really hurtful.
But I love in the scene where Brock is so vulnerable and saying, I want to, I know the
work that I have to do in order to gain a relationship with my other, my older two children.
But we all know and see as viewers and as their friends,
Brock is an amazing, amazing father to Summer.
And I think that a lot of people have been really shitty
and difficult on Brock over seasons past
when not everyone knows everything.
So I think Sheena and Brock taking it into their own hands
and discussing it on their own on the show
was really important.
And I'm just very proud of both of them because it's a very difficult thing to talk about,
you know, when you have past that you aren't necessarily proud of.
I agree. And that the whole scene, I mean, it was emotional. It was it was touching.
I mean, you could cry. You could tell it was balling. You can tell it was real because
occasionally there are scenes you don't feel like is real but that one there's like
no doubt that was very real emotion very vulnerable for the cameras it was good.
Choosing to be okay filming that kind of what I was saying it just took a lot of bravery I think
a lot of courage and I do think that their communication was really beautiful and I'm glad
that because this part of the scene was in the original trailer remember kind of being like that
we're not gonna be together
or something like that.
And I was like, there's no fucking way that was taken.
Like that is a tiny edit to make us wonder.
And I'm glad we were all right.
Gotta love those teasers.
And now we just switch the nostalgia completely
because now Schwartz and Sandy
are having a fucking midlife crisis
and they're like late 80s or early 90s Mustang,
I think is what it was.
Was that a Mustang?
It was a Mustang, yeah.
It's just so funny, there are different perspectives on it
because Schwartz is like, it's a midlife revival.
Revival.
And yeah, and then Sandoval is like,
it's kind of like a trashy midlife crisis.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's funny though.
Schwartz goes blonde, like getting tattoos,
like just, I can't with them.
It's a crisis for sure.
It's a crisis, but hey, you know.
But I do love that then Schwartz got,
you know, Gordo and Butter tattooed on him.
And he's like, I've converted all of my true loves
into tattoos.
You got Bubba, Lisa Vanderpump, and now Gordo and Butter.
And I will confirm, Schwartz really does love LVP.
I know. Totally.
I wonder if, because you know that Jax has Tom Tom
and I tattooed on him.
Yeah.
I wonder if Schwartz will ever get Tom Jax
and I tattooed on him.
You want to start a betting pool?
Cause I'll back the nose.
I think if I get Schwartz really fucked up on Yeager, I could get him to do it.
Okay.
I see.
I'm like shorts, you pick my tattoo.
I pick yours.
They have to be small.
Tom's never going to listen to this.
Hey, you guys, and just fans do not air this because I want to surprise them one day.
Okay.
Oh my goodness.
But yeah, it was just, they're discussing San Francisco.
Obviously we have the Kyle Chan whiskey party
coming up in San Fran, which Luke and I did get to go to.
It was amazing.
So this is kind of the, like one of the first few times
we're really hearing about like the gears are in motion
for Kyle's party.
Right, it's happening.
Everyone's going to San Francisco on a treasure island,
on a treasure, on the treasure island out there.
You take a boat to get to it, yada yada.
Okay, so before we get to all that,
which will be a lot in the next episode,
we have Jax Taylor once again popping in
on Banderpump Rules, and he is hosting brunch
with the crew at Sur.
And this part was just weird for me
because everything about Lisa, like, I don't know.
I'm sorry. Like, Lisa, you had no idea Jax was coming in.
And I just love Guillermo being like, yes, like, oh my God, we have like a line out the door.
We have so many reservations. This is great. This is great for business.
Guillermo knew about it. Like, hell yeah.
You think Jax Taylor is not going to draw in like all of the fans and the tourists?
It's brilliant, I think.
But the whole like, oh Jax is like begging to host a brunch.
Jax didn't beg for shit.
I'm sure it was just a conversation.
Jax said, yeah, I'm interested.
You know, the crew at Sir and Guillermo
and James possibly were like, this is a great idea.
It's gonna bring in a shit ton of money.
Why say no?
I just felt like Lisa was being,
I just felt like she was being overly rude to Jax.
They can't be that far apart in age.
That's hilarious.
I don't remember how old Lisa is,
but she's not super old and Jax is the oldest in our group.
Right, I mean, Lisa couldn't be Jax's grandmother, clearly.
So- Or even mother.
I would bet technically she could be his mother.
I don't know.
Hard to say.
But I think Jack's handled the whole thing really well,
because Lisa can be really tough to film with,
because she plays chess.
And it's her show.
It is really difficult at times.
But I loved when they brought up,
Jack goes, I don't even know that word.
And James Googles it.
And then Jax goes, what did he say?
Super, super flourious.
Super flourious.
Yeah, yeah, I know that one.
Oh my goodness.
It was just hilarious.
I think he handled it well.
Go Jax.
I would have lost my shit.
I need to learn how to keep it together.
But Jax called her out for like not reaching out to he and Brittany.
And he's like, listen, I, when he says like, I was with you for 10 years,
he's not just talking about bartending at Sir and taking shit as bartender at Sir eating shit.
He's saying like, I did a television show with you for 10 years.
My wife got pregnant.
We've had cruise for three years.
You've never once reached out to us.
So that's why we haven't reached out to you. and I think it makes perfect sense. That's just me couldn't agree more
I mean talk about the awkward hug when they're leaving. I think I noticed that maybe had to redo that
Seemed like it was kind of cut. Maybe there's some harsher words in that
Lisa went to say something and then it kind of got cut off. It seemed like it. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know
I'm just it was funny. It made me laugh because how awkward that situation was.
So anyway, when Jax.
Well, really quick.
So I did feel like Lisa was,
I think Lisa eventually just had to sort of give in
because at the end of the day,
Jax was there to do the brunch, right?
Right.
And Lisa was kind of not having it
without a little tug of war.
I mean, and I feel like-
And again, Jax is making her money again.
But I feel like a producer had to step in and go,
Lisa, we've really got to move on, I'm sorry.
And Lisa's like,
tchwaaah.
You know, it's like kind of how it felt.
It felt very old school Vanderpump is what I'll say.
Right, and next scene Jax says Jax
walks over to the girl's table and spreads rumors.
No, not rumors, but he immediately goes, Right and next scene Jax says Jax walks over to the girls table and spreads rumors.
No, not rumors but he immediately goes,
Oh did you guys hear that Tom might be moving in with Tom?
Yeah, he just told me but he told me not to tell anyone.
Classic.
Hey am I getting to know Jax?
That is 100% the way he works.
That quick little exchange and then James invites everyone over for a pool party.
Now this kind of flashes back to something we skipped over because
Sheena spoke out that there are these rumors online about Brock and LaLa.
No, I don't think that's what it was. I think Sheena was just saying that she starts getting in her...
Maybe I missed that part. What I gathered from that about the Brock and LaLa thing,
but maybe I missed what you were saying, babe. I just thought Sheena was saying like, now that Tom has sort of done this,
which she repeats later in this episode, that she was like, I could start making this up in my mind
now. Like she's very untrusting. She said it, but she has heard or read online these comments about
see how Lala lightens, like brightens up when Brock walks in and saying that something might be going on there and then Lala
Jokingly goes hold on. Let me check with my husband if I can come to the pool party and goes ring ring
Brock pulls his hand up and goes oh, it's Lala. What are you doing calling me? And then they cut to Sheena's face
Yeah, it was a little weird little weird, but just want to point it out. Yeah, it was a little weird
So then we go to this pool party.
Why did I write down dog drama? Because James is crying about his dog again. Oh yeah. That is, I mean if you show the dog, this dog does not look like he's anything but happy-go-lucky. Like he's
so concerned about his emotions and everything. Allie has a wedding to go to. That they've committed
to, yes, that she is in. From one of her best friends that she's in. And Ali's saying like, well, we need to get someone to watch hippie. Right.
And James like freaks the fuck out. Like, listen,
I am like the most psycho about my dogs,
but that's why I've made sure I've always found someone that I really trust.
And then James starts comparing a dog to like childcare and it's like,
no homie, never going to land land man. That's never gonna land
Do not talk to parents with toddlers about oh my god talk to parents parents period. Let's just end it there
Right. Yeah, I talk about lack of awareness of what you're talking about not to mention
This dog has only been in his life for what a year and then has been back with him for a couple months at this
Point right after being gone for multiple years. I mean, I understand missing him and coming back,
but it's not like they have 10 years of history together.
I mean, when I lost my dog a couple of years ago,
I spent almost every single day for seven years with him.
And there was a connection, but at the same time,
it is a dog, it's not a human.
You have to be able to follow through with your commitments
with your person, with just people in general,
and still be able to have a dog.
It can't be a handcuff that keeps you from living life.
Right, and I think my friends think I'm the craziest
of anyone when I had both Gibson and Bowie.
Gibson's a little bit easier.
Bowie was a rescue, much older, needed a little bit more,
but even so, I could still leave town,
and I had someone to trust my dogs with.
You just have to figure that out. But at the end of the day, dogs, yes,
they're important. Sometimes I love dogs more than humans,
but dogs and toddlers and childcare versus doggie sitting,
not the fucking same thing.
And trying to tell this to a room full of women with babies is that shit
crazy.
It is. Lala said something that rubbed me the wrong,
didn't rub me the wrong way,
but I think points out where Lala is in life right now
She said never let the man come first because she said clearly James come first Ali come second and that can never be the case
In a relationship, which is like yes, so bogus to me
If it doesn't flip back and forth you are always gonna have a one-sided relationship and someone's always gonna feel less than like no matter
What like yeah, Lala's clearly jaded about men because of her ex,
but I also disagree with her because Luke comes first sometimes.
Sometimes I come first. It depends on what's going on.
We're equal in our relationship. Exactly. And I based on our needs. Yeah.
And I think I know that I'd be upset if you copped out of something we had planned
for months to go to a wedding. that I'd be upset if you copped out of something
we had planned for months to go to a wedding. And I think it'd be the same in reverse,
that if I copped out,
cause I'm like, oh, I guess I, you know,
don't really have anyone to find Jill.
I, you know, didn't search on Rover.
I didn't talk to my friends.
I didn't do all these things that could have been done
and decided, oh, I guess I just have to stay and watch her.
Can't support you at this wedding
with one of your closest friends.
Yeah, no, totally agree. We feel things for dogs
Can you guys tell us like the thing we've talked the most about on this podcast?
All right, we felt all of our feelings
To the Katie and Jack standoff. Oh the Katie and Jack shit was like the most old-school
Vanderpump stuff ever but also felt their relationship and their argument, if
you even want to call it that, felt so different.
So this is really when Katie said like the reason I, she makes it very clear because
I actually was wondering as well, why isn't Katie friends with Brittany?
Brittany's my best friend.
Katie and I are still friends.
I love Katie to pieces, but I'm like, the fuck did did Brittany ever do? And Katie says, it is because of Jax.
It has put a strain on her friendship with Brittany.
And why that makes sense to me,
and it's a little different,
but when I just wanna throw it back to,
before Vanderpump rules,
when Rachel O'Brien was dating Jax Taylor,
and Rachel broke up with him,
she then cut out me.
She cut out everyone that was a part of that friendship
because she was like,
I don't want to be associated and around him anymore.
And I'm sorry, but you are, you know, friends with him.
And like you're in his life.
And Rachel and I weren't friends for years because of that.
And I had to respect it in a way
because she just didn't want to be around it.
And that's kind of how Katie feels.
I know it's not the same because Katie's not his ex, but Katie feels so strongly about
Jax that she just doesn't want to be around Brittany because then it's always going to
be about Jax.
So it's something I want Katie and Brittany to work on now that Brittany and Jax are separated.
But I do understand, like Jax put Katie through hell.
So I like that Katie said that this was the reason I guess as their friend
Because now it makes more sense to me and maybe now Katie and Brittany can maybe like meet up or have a drink or something
Maybe now I'm just all my wishes are flowing through this episode
I'm just saying I understood where Katie was coming from like for once about Brittany and I hadn't understood it until now. So
Sandy I'm just gonna call him Sandy from now on Sandy and Kyle Chan show up and
It just kind of escalates fairly quickly. Yeah, it does very quickly
just sorry to back up just a hair right before that Schwartz and Ariana have their little talk about the mortgage and
Right and Tom saying he might move in and asking if Ariana would hate him if he did and she's like, oh no
I don't care what happens to that house once I get what's mine
Yeah
She seemed very like stress alleviated for the first time in that scene where she was like, you know what Tom?
Like I don't care for sure because she knows she's finally getting out and she's like whatever exactly
And I just the thing that blew my mind the most on this I know I'm the financial person think this was really crazy though
It's insane that with the refinance of the house to pay ariana out would be
$22,000 a month for that house. Can any of you imagine paying?
$22,000 a month in mortgage. I can't possibly wrap my head around that. I can. There's no way you're getting your return on that.
No.
Yeah, no, it really blew my mind.
Like, $22,000?
Like, do you own an island?
Yikes.
No.
Anyway, moving on, Kyle and Sandoval are there.
Everything's escalating.
Sheena and Tom get into a big fight.
Yeah, because Sandoval decides to just fly off the handle
because he can't handle what's
like a discussion.
Once again, which I hope he's, we kind of see later on that he humbles himself a bit.
But I think this is a battle and a beast that Sandoval is going to have to fight for a little
while.
And this is why I'm glad they're taking a hiatus on Vanderpump rules, because I think
we'd be seeing the same thing over and over for next season if they started filming right
away.
But Sandoval feels that he's pushed into a corner, hypothetically speaking,
and just shouts out at Sheena,
well, you were the other woman.
And it's like, thank God Brock did step in as well, and Sheena spoke her piece.
It was like, dude, she was 20 years old.
You cannot compare your, like, six months that you cheated on,
like, six months ago you cheated on your girlfriend,
but 15, 20 years ago Sheena did this thing. You cannot compare your like six months that you cheated on, like six months ago you cheated on your girlfriend,
but 15, 20 years ago, Sheena did this thing.
It's just not the fucking same.
Not even close.
Everyone makes mistakes in their 20s
and typically people are more willing to forgive that
because you understand this is someone
that's your brain's still developing.
Like you're still developing as a person,
figuring out who you are.
You gotta make mistakes to learn.
No one's throwing at Tom like what he did to me
or like things he did pre-Ariana,
which they all knew Tom before Ariana
and he was still fucking up, right?
They're just talking about the Raquel thing still,
or Rachel.
That's what they're saying, like,
this is where you fucked up and you're continuing
to like not fix anything, you're just making it worse,
or he's like flip-flopping.
So for Tom to go back and like reach for this one thing she know did which if that hadn't happened Santa ball
We wouldn't have had Vanderpump rules. So suck it. I just thought it was really rude when she is like has a three-year-old
she has a husband like she's worked really hard and
That's what you're gonna throw at her because she's trying to have ariana's back, but also be your friend
It was like dude, you're digging yourself a hole.
Right.
It's like, Sheena is your only link back in right now.
It's like, come on.
I mean, Schwartz has kind of tried,
but he also made peace with everyone.
So he's not going to keep pushing.
He's trying to squeeze you in.
And Sheena's becoming that bridge and throwing that out.
I can kind of understand being backed into court
and saying something, like putting your foot in your mouth.
Clearly, that wasn't something premeditated
I don't think it's something that popped in his head and he blurted it out because he was all
Emotional and upset and he's blurted out. I think he pulled a Kristen. Yeah, you guys
Created Vanderbump rules, but I wouldn't have gone that deep
Anywho, so that's kind of where that ends and Ariana's trying to console Sheena
So that's kind of where that ends and Ariana's trying to console Sheena and then she's talking to Tom and Ariana's like, Oh God, whatever.
But you see Ariana as the good friend being like, I'm going to console Sheena.
So we roll into episode 11 and we start off at something about her, which I love we can
all now announce because Katie and Ariana have they are opening on May 22nd
Congratulations, my loves so proud can't wait to go and
Just to toot my own horn Ariana
Thank you so much for wearing James May my learning to fly moto T and thank you for everyone who ordered it
She looks gorgeous in it, but it's fun to see that Anne is now actually working for Katie and Ariana.
Not surprising.
And seems to be very happy.
I think Anne is just a bubbly person.
She has to be always seeing the silver lining and everything for how long she worked with Tom.
That's true.
Lisa comes in to discuss the penny of it all.
And I like that Katie and Ariana are very strong in their convictions about their business.
They do explain to Lisa a little bit about what's going on with the Penny situation.
But oh my God, I feel like I'm talking about dirty dancing right now.
The Penny situation.
To all of you millennials who know what I'm talking about.
But I like that Katie and Ariana said, you know, this is the three musketeers.
This is our business.
I think that they really fucking got this shit. I something about her is gonna do really well and I obviously we've all heard rumblings about
Penny on the internet. I don't want to discuss too much of it. I've read it all about the whole trademark thing
I've not asked the girls. I don't know what's going on, but I think that they've handled their shit
Because it's opening it's opening. Yep. Yay. And then we go to Kyle Chan store.
I love how much Kyle Chan store is in this season.
He's kind of the Tom whisperer, so it's necessary, but.
You'll see Tom really get emotional about how Kyle Chan saved his life.
And Kyle Chan is that person.
He is that person that's not going to abandon someone no matter what.
If he feels you are a true friend, you haven't turned against him or him or you know burned him in whatever way you've been the same friend to him
No matter what you do in the rest of your outside of your life
He will tell you how he feels and still be there for you
I agree and so she is there discussing her performance, which will be it's like this Kyle Chan
whiskey party that we were discussing earlier in San Francisco
and Sheena is going to be performing.
And Tom Sandoval shows up unbeknownst to Sheena and it's kind of like, oh, well, is Tom performing
too?
And Kyle's like, no, I need a free manager.
And Tom has decided like he'd be more than willing to help out with that.
This is the place where Tom says like, look, I owe Kyle.
I owe him everything.
So of course I'll do this.
You can see the uncomfortability that Sheena has, but it's full of a lot of emotion as well.
Yeah, I guess well, Tom says like he I think Sheena is emotional because she's like, fuck,
you have been a really good friend to me and it's difficult, but you keep doing all these things.
And I love Ariana.
And as it's super emotional,
Tom says, I don't understand why there's a line
drawn in the sand.
Like, I feel alienated.
I mean, no shit, bro.
I feel like I need to just call Tom Sandoval
and like have a coffee with him
and I'm gonna explain it to him like his ABCs
Like remember when you broke up with me Tom and you alienated the shit out of me
I didn't get to go on the group trip for a year and a half and you know what rightfully so I'll admit rightfully
So it was not the proper time for me to be around the group until I proved myself through actions.
That I wasn't going to be a liar, that I wasn't going to be just kind of messy around everyone.
It just, it took time. And through time and space and healing, I was included back in the group again.
And I feel like Tom Sandoval just needs to like get this through his thick skull.
Yeah, that basically just that people aren't going to over it overnight. It's gonna take time. Everything takes time
I just think he needs a little bit of perspective right now
Like I'm not saying he's wrong in his feelings because I remember feeling that way
But like you really fucked up and you kind of fucked up not only with your girlfriend
But all of your other friends you lied to a lot of people you hurt a lot of feelings
So just like give people some time.
Couldn't agree more.
Yeah.
Lala and Katie are getting ready at Katie's and they're discussing Lala's 33rd birthday
party and for whatever reason it's like, oh, is Tom Zanabal coming?
And Lala was like, well, no, but maybe I should FaceTime him to like make sure he knows he's
not invited.
Yeah.
Which is, I mean, it's so Stassi like season one,
like let me call you to remind you that you're not invited.
I guess, I don't know,
it's saving that confrontation later on.
I don't know.
I don't know what I think of all that.
I can't say I relate to that situation in any way.
So- Not inviting.
I mean, I think it was probably better for the whole group.
It was just one birthday party.
It's one restaurant thing.
It's not the end of the world.
I think just to make sure Katie feels comfortable,
Ariana feels comfortable,
that a lot of people are feeling more comfortable
without having him just sort of pop in
and make it a little awkward
when he's not quite right with anyone in the group yet.
You know? Yeah.
But it was like a little awkward,
but Sandoval immediately is like,
yeah, I'm used to it.
Like, I know, don't worry.
I know that I wasn't invited, I'm used to it.
I'm like, aw, samezies.
I remember what that was like back in the day.
But during Lala's birthday party,
so we're like at this place,
I think it's called Bathtub Gin, which sounds pretty cool.
It looks like a really dope spot.
It sounds like the appropriate name for, you know,
speakeasy, roaring 20s, flappers, kind of like, yeah.
But the only thing I loved about this was
they have these burlesque type dancers
and Sheena's just giggling away being like,
Brock does not know where to look right now
and Brock hates strip clubs
because he never knows where to look.
So Luke, I wanted to ask you about that
because you and I have not been to a strip club together.
I've been to strip clubs since we've been dating
with my girlfriends and Zach.
You have, I've not been to a strip club
since we've been dating.
Do you get nervous and you don't know where to look
when you're at a strip club?
I have never been to a strip club with a girlfriend.
So when you're with your guys, you're fine. Yeah, why would I not look if I chose to go to a strip club with a girlfriend. So when you're with your guys, you're fine.
Yeah, why would I not look if I chose to go to a strip club?
I'm going to look at the boobs.
I mean, come on.
So if you and I went to a strip club together,
how do you think you would act?
Honestly, because we talked about this before.
And I feel like you would buy a lap dance for me.
Hell no, not for you, for me.
Oh, I swear you've said that before.
Changed my mind.
Ah, I see that.
Then at this point, I have no idea what to think.
If your mind's changed on that, I don't know.
You're like, what do I do with my hands?
What do I do with my eyes?
Don't drag me in there and expect me not to look
is what I'm gonna say.
That's totally fair.
I mean, Sheena loves strip clubs.
I just thought it was like a cute moment
where she's like, Brock doesn't know what to do.
He doesn't know where to look.
Oh, I need hootsies.
Dict night, Arianna and Dan.
So they're at a cool place.
I don't know where it is,
but it looks like a really romantic spot.
Looks like somewhere you'd really love.
Yeah, like outdoor patio, lower light.
It looks awesome.
And Dan's such a foodie.
I don't know if you guys all know this
or if you follow him on Instagram,
but Dan's an amazing cook.
So I know that he's an amazing person to order with.
And he and Ariana are very like,
they're kind of like foodies restaurateurs.
Like when they go to New York
and other places they travel to.
Or in San Francisco.
Right, I'm just saying in general.
Oh, are you talking about Applebee's?
I'm talking about Applebee's.
I hate you. We'll get to Applebee's.
But this whole thing is Ariana sort of divulging more into her relationship
with Dan, like she's never been in a long distance relationship.
But she said that the distance forced them to get to know each other.
And I very much vibe with that.
Totally. A long distance relationship does force you to FaceTime
and to talk and talk everything out.
As Ariana says, like word for word, you can't just be fucking. Totally a long distance relationship does force you to facetime and to talk and talk everything out as
Ariana says like word for word. You can't just be fucking you can't just like hey, what's up? You want to come over and get high and fuck watch a movie like a lot of people just do that
And that's how relationships start. It's like, okay, this is comfortable and this is my new comfort zone
So why not date that is not a good way to start a relationship
yeah, and when she would say like there are times they're on the phone and
She's like going to bed or he's getting up
or getting ready to get up.
And I was like, oh my God, Luke and I have done that.
The East coast to West coast, the time distance and.
Absolutely.
It was just very much us back in the day.
So I love this for them.
Like we get it.
Nice little flashback.
I hope. It was cute.
Hope things keep moving forward with them.
Seems easy.
Other thing too, is their whole conversation about who's moving where is
also exactly like us.
I know. Ariana's like, so you're going to move here? He's like,
it's cute.
It's kind of where I still am. Yeah. Ish. We'll see. We'll just see what happens.
And like we talked about with Ariana,
if you guys haven't heard our podcast with Ariana for Balancing Act,
it was our first podcast that we did for Balancing Act was with Ariana. If you guys haven't heard our podcast with Ariana for Balancing Act, it was our first podcast that we did for Balancing Act
was interviewing Ariana. No talk about Vanderpump Rules, zero talk about the
Scandival of it all. But we do discuss a lot about her relationship with Dan and
doing the bi-coastal thing. And so I just think it's cute and interesting and
adorable. So now the juxtaposition is we go to Tom Sandoval
and the Most Extras, their show.
At L. Ray.
At the L. Ray Theater.
And we see Terry Green, Tom's mom,
who I have not seen in a hot minute,
who I just find totally adorable,
and her cute smile and her big, beautiful, bright eyes.
And it just made my heart smile.
And I want you guys to know that that's the true Tom Whisperer,
as I think most mothers are.
But I'm telling you, the only person Tom will listen to
that, like, she gives tough love.
Like, if she tells Tom, jump, he says, how high.
Anywho, I just thought it was, like, really adorable
to see her on TV.
So we have the show, and Terry, his mom, is just glistening.
And then we stumble into this Tom Schwartz and Joe situation
that made me physically uncomfortable.
I just wrote down, like, I don't even know what's happening.
Yeah, Joe being in the crowd, I didn't see that coming.
I thought we kind of dismissed her last episode.
It's weird at first, but then so quickly, I mean,
she's right behind Sandoval's mom.
She's talking to Schwartz, and they step outside.
I mean, the whole thing, obviously, they're both still super weirdos, they seem like they're perfect for each other,
but come on Tom, we're gonna be married in eight years? How do you make a comment like that?
Yeah that scene just, that scene gave my ADHD ADHD.
I don't know how that works, that's a lot of letters. That scene kind of wraps up with more
awkwardness and Joe is coming to San Francisco is ultimately what I got out of it, right?
So fast forward now, we're at the airport. Everybody's arriving
Take it away. Yeah, I'm unsure why Joe is coming to
San Francisco at this point when Tom is sort of set a boundary with her
I mean, it's just continued mixed signals signals like I've said acting and saying things are interpreted differently like him saying like I have
to reinforce Joe's coming as my friend and then they have this flirty thing and
he says this is Joe who's just my friend but we're gonna be married in eight
years that's not confusing at all. And then she reiterates it to him and he
goes did I just say that? Right it's uh yeah I feel bad for Joe to just trip
over my words that she's constantly
getting thrown these lines of hope.
Yeah, and when I did watch What Happens Live with Schwartz,
I very much said I don't think that he's leading her on.
And I'm not sure how I feel now that I've seen that scene.
I feel like part of me is just like,
I think that's just their banter,
because he has been honest with her
But I don't know it's a weird banter to me
I think if she could step up and say hey if we're setting this boundary then I need the boundary
You can't talk about our future like that
You can't talk about us having a future and cut me off as far as being
And tell me like I can't be in love with you
That's where I would say if we're gonna stay friends that can't be continued to be said because of what it does to her head
And her heart I'm sure well and as we know now Tom Schwartz has had a girlfriend Sophia
Who is absolutely lovely and adorable and they've been together five six months now
So we know how it ended but you know just recapping the scene
so yeah, they go the whole crew flies to San Francisco and
San of all expresses that he's like open to meeting
Dan and like shaking his hand, which I think is a terrible idea.
Yeah, I don't think Dan has any interest in that, to be totally honest.
He does throw out maybe I should do what Ariana did and give him all the warnings.
Schwartz is like, Oh no, man, that's so messed up.
And it is.
And I do think it was a joke.
It's quite vindictive.
Right.
And then Tom and Tom have this like little scene about like Schwartz essentially
is like confirming that he's going to commit to moving in, which I have not heard about
this in real life. So I don't know if this is something that's still possibly happening
or if this was just like a fly off the handle thought in the moment.
Right. I have no idea. I think it'd be really unlikely now
with both Toms having relationships.
Correct.
So, since it hasn't happened yet,
I don't see it happening.
But, you know, it's a fun thought.
I think, sure, at this point.
It's a terrible idea.
Sure, but at this point, you know,
we just saw their midlife crisis
and what they're thinking about,
where their head is at the moment.
It probably seems like a great idea.
If Schwartz can't move in there for free, then fine.
Yeah, right. That ain't happening.
So they take a boat ride. There's a bunch of waves. It reminded me of like the perfect storm. Didn't make my heart happy
seeing there was like a hang gliding person or a parasailing person
like in the choppy, chilly waters of San Francisco,
no thank you.
And when they leave the boat,
Ariana and Brock have a moment
where they discuss cutting Tom off.
What were your thoughts on this?
I think it's just not reasonable
to keep things in perspective.
Like this group of friends have been together for so long
that someone kind of has to leave the group
and you can try to gang everyone together but it's not going to work I think either way. Someone has
to basically voluntarily leave. What Ariana's talking about gray rocking versus forgiveness,
you know, forgiveness is a way to move forward if you can do it for yourself. I call it selfish
forgiveness that you let, you know, it's only hurting you. Holding a grudge hurts you, the person holding the grudge, not the person that
the grudge is against typically.
So if you can do it for yourself, forgive someone mentally for yourself.
It doesn't have to be a conversation.
You have to be friends again, but not let that person's presence, voice,
whatever bother you.
If you can get to that point, fantastic.
Otherwise, yeah, remove yourself completely from being around or aware of their existence
anymore.
But I do, I do like that Ariana said something she said really,
really like rang a bell with me and hit home that she made the point that there
never seems to be any problem with male rage.
It's only female rage.
And I feel like this is something that's been going on in our group since like almost day one.
It's always like, well, that's just Jacks.
And Lisa's always coddling the Toms,
specifically a Tom Tom Jacks thing.
But it's like the whole group is like,
Ariana, get over it.
Kristen, get over it.
Katie, God, why are you so angry?
Get over it.
But the boys are allowed to just keep doing as they do.
So I very much feel for Ariana in this moment.
Yeah, I get it too.
Timeline, we've said it a million times,
we're a broken record.
This is way too soon to expect her to just be over it.
That's where I'm at and that's why this hiatus,
I believe is happening, to give her time to heal,
pursue all these other things,
be busy enough to not have Tom on her mind
and not constantly throw thrown in her face
so we're at Ariana suite and
Lala comes over in a robe Dan
You know doesn't have a shirt on Lala's all kind of city hitting on him saying, you know, oh do you work out?
Yada yada anyway, Dan's not going to dinner and they're kind of questioning. Why why do you think he doesn't want to go to dinner? I think why would he really want to go to dinner if everyone's going to be there?
I agree.
I think that, you know, in a situation this is still work, you know, and this doesn't
seem like Dan's personality doesn't seem like one that, you know, has a desire.
Similar to mine doesn't necessarily want to push his way into this group,
into this show, into this thing.
Right.
He wants to be with Ariana,
but he doesn't have a desire
to be a part of Vanderpump Rules.
Exactly, that's what I'm saying.
So I think that's him saying,
no, honey, you go ahead and you go to work.
I'll be ready for you as soon as you're done.
And I hope it goes well.
I love you, honey.
And to be honest,
I feel like Ariana probably wanted it that way. Potentially.
I don't know. I don't know. And we get to the 20s dinner. Yeah.
Go ahead. Just, I don't have a lot. Dan's officially not going.
Let's cut to the dinner. This is all everyone dressed in their 20s.
Actually what's funny is it's similar to the bathtub gin place.
They're dressed up, you know, like old gangsters. Yeah. The outfits, the fits, the look, they all nailed place. They're dressed up like old gangsters.
Yeah, the outfits, the fits, the look,
they all nailed it.
They did. They were so good.
It was funny when Katie and Ariana,
well, Katie said to Tom,
well, Tom walks up first and is like,
"'You two look like a thing.'"
Katie goes, "'Yeah, it's because we are.
"'We're the new Tom Tom.'"
Oh yeah, that was cute.
And this is where, what Luke and I mentioned earlier,
where Tom Schwartz proposes this one night stand to Katie
and says he feels like in five or six years from now
he's gonna think like, oh, Katie's the one that got away.
That's probably true.
Or did Katie say that?
Katie said that.
Sorry, Katie said in five or six years
Tom is gonna think, which is how I've been feeling
since the episode previous to this one.
Unless everyone grows up and maybe the show isn't going on
and they could live a normal life together. Who knows? That
could be a possibility.
Yeah, just again, the nostalgia was real. I felt like I was
listening to Third Eye Blind and just like crying in the corner
of 551 North Kings Road. Right?
Being like stay together.
Do you think this one night stand is going to happen?
Absolutely fucking not.
No?
Definitely not.
I mean, Katie's little smirk and look away kind of thing,
it's rolling around in her head.
I would agree with you, most likely not.
However, you never know.
I'm going to go hard no, but in my wildest dreams, yes.
And then we have Sheena and Tom, and this kind of,
this scene's pretty intense and emotional
as well.
And I think Sheena did a really good job navigating this.
I think Sandoval did a good job actually listening for once and this wraps up this episode.
Yeah, she really got through to him, it seemed like, especially saying, I don't need a response.
I just want you to think about this tonight.
They do a little flashback to Sheena talking to Ariana about what Tom could do to help
her move past it.
And Ariana's like, well, yeah, that would help, but there's no way he's ever going to
do that.
He's never going to just come in and say, I fucked everything up.
This is all my fault.
I need to grow up.
I need to do these things better.
I'm sorry that I did this to you.
And I know that I did this.
This is all my doing.
And so, you know, maybe it is getting through.
It seems like in that scene that Sheena really is
hitting home.
It did feel that way.
So we'll have to see what happens next episode.
We shall see.
