Hey there podcast listeners, let's talk about something many of us can relate to,
the dreaded pre-period week. You know what I don't miss at all? That vicious week before the period.
Personally, during that time, I used to feel like I wanted to crawl out of my own skin.
And those cravings? Oh boy, I could have eaten my own hand off if it was rolled a batter and deep
fried. Plus, feeling a bit down or off was just part of the package. But guess what?
It doesn't have to be that way anymore.
Thanks to estro control from Happy Mammoth, managing PMS has become so much easier.

Hi babes and welcome back to another episode of Balancing Act. Luke and I are here. Just
Luke and I. That's all you really need this week I think.
Yeah I think we got this. We've been so busy recently. We went to Stagecoach, got a lot
of trips coming up. There's an awesome show we've mentioned multiple times,
The Goat coming out.
We just had the premiere party that kind of just bled,
well, Stagecoach, rather, bled into that.
So it's like we didn't really get a break,
been on quite the bender.
Yeah, the bender.
The bender of busy is really what it is.
Yeah, so Stagecoach was this weekend.
My little brother was in town.
We had some friends meet up with us, as we said last week.
Jasmine from the Valley and Melissa stayed with us for a night.
We had a really great time.
And then Tuesday morning, we get back like Monday night and Tuesday morning I have this
press day that I mentioned and I wash my hair three times like six o'clock in the morning
and I get to glam at Amazon Studios, which is like stunning.
Anyhoo, so my hairstylist starts doing my hair and she's like, oh, and she's like pulling
out of these little plastic gems that I had like adhesive, they were like adhered to my
hair.
Swore I got them all out, definitely didn't happen.
And then after she styles my hair, she was like, so later on when you go home, just,
you know, really try to, I don't know if you had hairspray in,
but like right at your roots.
And I'm like, no girl, three times I washed my hair,
it's not hairspray, it's literally dirt.
I feel like it's grass there for sure, the polo grounds,
but this was the third weekend in a row.
They had at least 80,000 people there.
Per day. Per day, right.
So we're looking at nine days out of three weeks of 80,000 people trampling the
ground with like no rain in between.
It was very dusty.
We were there at the end.
But all in all, it was pretty cool.
It was my first festival ever.
It was my little brother's first festival, too.
So it was a good time.
It was a good time.
But yeah, it's been a crazy week.
Just soups exhausted, but grateful for everything that
life is throwing at us. I did the Lady Gang podcast with my girls this morning with Kelty,
Becca, and Jack. And we were talking about like just kind of being busy. And I catch myself at
times just being like, Oh my God, I'm so tired. I'm just so busy. And then I have to ground myself and think,
think about 2020, Kristen, you weren't busy at all
for like, not a minute, but like a couple of years.
So I have to stop myself and like remind myself that
even when I'm in pain, I don't have to beat one.
This is also the balancing act.
And as we add stuff, it gets tougher
to keep the balance, right? So, you know, just, let's dive into the stage coach balancing act and as we add stuff it gets tougher to keep the balance right so you know just let's dive into the stagecoach balancing act altogether
like this is being my first thing first time doing a festival at all I didn't
really know what went into it I did not know exactly what I was getting into
it seen pictures and videos and all of that so I was really hyped and
everything but it was did kind of become a last-minute thing and you know there's
a balance between finding your friends and staying with your group and also enjoying the festival
and also you know taking care of your Airbnb, making sure you have your car lined up, all the
things that go into enjoying your time at a festival. Totally. And Kristen kind of took control of most of that. Shocking.
The control freak took control.
Wow.
Right.
I just want to like dive into that.
Like you reflect on, you know, balancing it all.
No, totally.
I agree.
And I think typically I'm really good at planning and I thrive on planning things to a T that
need to be planned with any sort of trip or like excursion that we
do, but then leaving kind of the middle to just like do whatever, right?
But because this time around it was very last minute kind of fly by the seat of our pants,
like that's not really where I thrive.
I do not flourish in the unknown.
The unknown can really stress me out a lot and I feel very responsible even
though it isn't my job to be responsible. I was with grown adults as well but I'm
definitely that person who is like, God I wish, you know, in the back of my mind,
like, wish people would help. Not that people did not help, like the house guests,
our friends that we had, Luke, my brother, like everyone pitched in financially, organizing, cleaning,
making sure we had all of our stuff, ordering food,
like all that.
But I'm just, at times, can be like such a control freak
about it that I'm like, no, I got it.
I've said this even before.
It's like, it's hard for me to ask for help.
And I know this about myself because I feel like
by the time I ask the question,
I could have just already done it.
So I'm like, why am I wasting my breath?
Like, I know that I can just do it
rather than explain to someone why.
Right, but the balance of it is-
Totally, you're not wrong.
I mean, delegating it isn't putting everything
on your shoulders.
And this kind of happened this weekend
where it would be, you felt like you had to do everything
when, where I feel that if there had been
like a group meeting, like, hey,
let's all knock this out together together everybody else would have stepped up and
it wouldn't have fallen on your shoulders and you wouldn't have got that
extra stress and maybe you would have enjoyed it a little more yeah not that
you didn't enjoy it but there were times you were definitely pretty stressed out
no totally and I do agree with you about like meeting up with friends and stuff
because especially I you know a lot of festivals because everyone's on their phone.
You don't have like Wi-Fi kicking in.
Like, we're just so used to this convenience of it that obviously you want to just hope
you're going to run into the people you want to dance with and sing with and party with,
but it is really difficult to get a hold of people.
And there were like 11 different wristbands and this blew my mind.
Yeah, I think there were like six tiers of wristbands and this blew my mind. Yeah I think
there were like six tiers of wristbands and it was my first stage coach we're at Coachella it's
literally like here's GA here's VIP and then artist passes and all of a sudden we're going like what
color for this and what and there's a pit and it was just. Yeah what's Corral and Pit and artist and
uh GA and Saloon and. But even my friends like Jasmine and Melissa,
they said like they go pretty much every year
and they were like, this is so different than last year.
I think a lot of, at least the people we knew
were kind of confused about that.
But like I wasn't the girl buying,
I mean, our wristbands were not cheap buying them last minute,
but I wasn't about to shell out, you know,
five grand for an artist band
when we had no idea what we were doing.
But yeah, the balance of it was,
I know that I stress myself out,
and therefore I can end up stressing other people out,
especially you, Luke, because I'm stressed out,
but I just, it's like, I'm such a,
you guys might be shocked by this,
but like, I'm a perfectionist.
I think people wouldn't believe that about me.
Like, if it's not perfect, I freak out. Like, it has to be just like this'm a perfectionist. I think people wouldn't believe that about me. Like if it's not perfect, I freak out. Like it has to be just like this to a T sometimes.
Right. Well, I'm more of a good enough kind of person where I'm like, I would have been
totally happy in GA vibing, finding people with the right vibe and like dancing and swaying.
And they have these massive screens. What were they like 50 feet wide? Some like just massive screens. GA was way far back
I admit that that you could tell there's somebody on stage dancing
But you know from GA you probably wouldn't be able to tell if it was really our church or not
Yeah for sure and that I think that's where I get like my frustration comes in where I just want it to be
I want like the beginning in the end to just be like wrapped up in a bow
so the middle we can have fun.
I've been to many festivals outside of Coachella
and Stagecoach.
This to me just, maybe it's because it's been years,
I don't know, like I was a little out of my element,
didn't have it, again, planned perfectly.
So that's just me, I freak out sometimes, guys.
Last minute, I mean, I got, I was fortunate that I got to see my dad and his his woman his lady lovely Joanne
Yes, his woman
His girlfriend, I mean they've been together so long it's like
Almost my stepmom if they were you know, just put a ring on it
They've been together so long but got to see them. They came all the way from Indiana. They were enjoying it
I think that it was there definitely their first experience of something on this scale and I'll say I've seen my dad
Definitely getting more amped up at a lot of more concerts that I've been to with him
This was not not really his thing won't surprise me at all. They don't they don't come back
Yeah, right, but you know what it is. It's like I think that's just a meeting in general. It's not about stagecoach
It's not necessarily and I know this is a me thing in general. It's not about stagecoach.
It's not necessarily, and I know this is something
I have to work on, but if I can strangely enough
compare this to like doing the Valley.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm intrigued.
So when I know, like I thought about, okay, the reunion,
like if we were gonna have a reunion, right?
Which is where everyone knows it's confirmed
there is no reunion.
And we'll get back to that. But like when it's a reunion, it? Which is what everyone knows, it's confirmed there is no reunion. And we'll get back to that.
But like when it's a reunion, it's like I'm prepared,
I know I'm gonna have shit thrown at me,
so I'm much more calm about it.
But when we're just randomly filming
and I have no idea what's going on
in other people's worlds, right?
And it's like when I'm surprised
when something's thrown at me,
like I panic because I'm not prepared.
I'm like a fucking boy scout.
I wanna be like a boy scout, that's what it is.
I want to be prepared for anything that life
is gonna throw at me and when I'm caught off guard,
it's when I panic.
Well, that's something.
And that's kind of what happened at Stagecoach.
Plus my brother's there and yes, he's my little brother.
He's also turning 40 in like a week and a half.
But to me, he's still like that kindergarten kid at five years old dressed like a lion.
Even though he's like in the military, he has an adult son, like all of that.
I just feel so responsible for taking care of the people in my crew.
Right.
I think I reminded you maybe a half dozen times that everyone's an adult.
They're gonna be okay, honey.
They're gonna be okay.
You don't have to be mama bird right now.
I know, it's just like,
that's just me, y'all, can't help it.
So overall.
I'm trying to find the right balance for me in that world,
but there's part of me that's like, that's just who I am,
but it's also a part of me that I'm not super stoked about
and I'd like to be better at.
And. Well, it's something like you said
that you brought up so much as far as
not being good at asking for help or delegating
or like assigning people to tasks.
Like if you can handle this,
I'll take care of this and this kind of thing.
And that's more of one of my strengths.
I'm good at like trusting people to take care of
what we like agree that people are gonna take care of.
And with this, I mean, if you're okay diving in, we did do a therapy session, not super
recently.
It was like maybe a month ago now.
We talked about Kristin's decision making and how she gets nervous she's going to make
the wrong decision.
And we kind of came to an agreement that there's got to be times where I just take the reins regardless of Kristin's like no
Wait, if we are on the same page
like if I know that we both want to do this and
She wants to do it her way if I take it off her plate even maybe without permission it can help in the long run
Yeah, for sure for sure. It's like, you know that there's this funny. I'm sure I showed it to you
It's like a video on Instagram or tick tock or something
It was like a trend where it's like a husband and wife, girlfriend,
boyfriend, or like in a car. Or he's like, we're going to dinner or something like
that. And then he says something like, remember like that one place that you
really wanted to go to that you told me not that long ago? And she's like, what
place? He's like, come on, you know, that one place, like the place you told me.
And then they say like, oh, Olive Garden. Or whatever
it is, right? Let's say Olive Garden. And she's like, Olive Garden? And he's like, that's
where I'm taking you. Because he like tricks her into saying where it is in her back of
her brain she would want to go. Because he's probably like, where do you want to go eat?
She's like, I don't know. Well, do you want Mexican? I mean, do you want Mexican? I don't
know. Do you want Italian? I'm not really sure.
And it's like this battle.
So that's like the simplified sort of funny version of the chaos that can occur in my
mind.
It's not necessarily about where to eat dinner, but I am terrible at making decisions because
I do feel like if it's all on me to make that decision, it's no longer a choice in my brain for some reason.
It's a dumb landmark forum thing.
If you guys ever know anything about landmark forum,
I still call it a cult in a way,
but I did do it years ago and they teach you
the difference between in their minds anyway,
a decision and a choice.
So choice is like, I'm choosing to do this
because it's what I wanna do.
And a decision is like to decide is like pesticide
or insecticide or whatever.
It's like to kill something off.
So you're like, well, I want vanilla ice cream
because I hate chocolate.
Not because you want vanilla ice cream.
And I feel like that's kind of a battle I have at times
where I'm like, fuck, if I decide this thing
and it turns out incorrectly,
then I'm the one who fucked it up.
You put a lot of pressure on yourself.
Yeah.
And that's where, yeah, I just try to reiterate to you,
like I've been happy in GA, I'm happy chilling.
I don't need the little glitz and glam and being, you know,
40 feet from the artist and all that business is not,
that's not who I am.
I think I really like being 40 feet from the artist.
Okay.
I think I was the happiest once we got into the pit
and we were literally like no joke,
like 50 to 100 feet from Miranda Lambert.
And I kept looking,
cause I could see her clearly enough
and I have terrible vision.
Luke has LASIK.
This might be boring,
but it's something Luke has begged me to do
because my eyesight is so terrible.
And he's like, I want you to see the world
like as clearly and as beautifully as I do
And in that moment, I'm like I am so grateful to be here with my boyfriend my brother my friends
We were dancing our asses off
It was like all the weight had just flown to the sky and I looked at Luke and I was like if I can see
Miranda Lambert this clearly I bet what you're seeing is like
She's right in fucking front of you, you know, so I do like seeing artists
40 feet in front of me. That's just me. I'm a little bit of a
snob when it comes to transportation and concerts, not
gonna lie, not a snob about anything else.
Total snob about transportation.
I am.
Not kind of total.
I mean, I am because I it's like the one thing I spend money on.
I don't buy bags. I don't buy purses. I don't like buy fancy
sports cars or like I don't spend my money on
Dumb shit like $500 bottles of wine or bottle service, you know, I'm like no
I want to pay for convenience and enjoy myself
But anywho, there are just some me things that aren't always fun and they can be a little bit
me things that aren't always fun and they can be a little bit annoying and it is tough for me at times to find balance in my life because of that so then that can be tough for Luke and I. And I
do feel like this is more of me as an adult so I don't know if it's like pressure. Well the other
thing that we took away from that therapy session was that just I don't know we haven't come up with
like the safe word we need something something that initiates a slow down.
You know that you need to slow down sometimes.
You just get up like, oh, it has to happen now
or it's not gonna happen.
Because it goes along with the not delegating.
It's like, you be like, did you call that car?
And I'm like, not yet, but I can right now.
And you're like, it's fine, I'll just do it.
And I'm like, the phone's in my hand.
And you're like, it's fine, I'll just do it.
No, it's fine, I'll do it.
And I'm like, I'm gonna do it, I'm calling right now.
I'm still gonna call.
And it just like, slow down, we need a safe word.
What should our safe word be?
I don't know, we're gonna have to think about it.
Like it should be something kinda funny.
So it's like, oh, ha ha ha, okay, here we are.
You know what I mean?
Like a dill pickle.
Like a, that's pretty funny.
You like that?
Like I'm gonna tell you guys something really cute about like Janet and Jason.
Vienna sausage.
No, well, that's like Janet.
But I have something really funny and cute about Janet and Jason when we were good friends
because they fight very fairly and they argue fairly and they accept each other for who
they are and all of that.
But when Jason doesn't name call, nor should anyone,
Luke doesn't name call, just so you guys know,
but Jason, instead of being like,
oh my God, Janet, you're being a bitch right now,
he just goes, hot dog.
And they both know that that means Janet's being a bitch,
or she's upsetting him, like pissing him off,
like irritating him, but he just says, hot dog,
or like you're being a hot dog,
and it kind of like breaks that tension.
And I think that's something really lovely about them,
which that could be something we need to figure out
because I'm just gonna call a spade a spade.
Today I was, Luke goes, oh, I know what's happening.
Patrice is coming.
I know your cycle and you're gonna start your period soon.
And I was like, oh, that is not what's happening right now.
Oh.
And then you checked your Flow app?
No, I mean. Oh, okay.
Yes, my cycle is coming, but that's not what happened.
I was just fucking tired.
No, I was talking about, okay.
Well, we don't have to dive into that.
I'm just saying, don't say Patrice is coming
and make me feel worse. That's why we coined Patrice is coming and like make it make me feel worse
That's why we coined Patrice. It's not supposed to make you worse. It's supposed to be able to be funny and be like, okay
That's the idea is like I said it might have been like you're being a bitchy PMS girl at this point
I know what I said was now let's keep things in perspective here Patrice has made an appearance
That's what you said Patrice has made an appearance
And I was like what did you say?
So Patrice is not a good safe word so scratch that one off
Okay, so anyone's wondering we can talk about Patrice like with it because it is funny at times, but don't look at me and go oh
Patrice came I'm like oh yeah what I wanted to do is go do you bleed out of your fucking vagina no I don't
have a vagina so but there is there is man straightening I've seen yeah and I think all
men like have their have PMS as well it's just less cyclical. I would say it guys go through it. I'm not trying to say we don't
I just think our bodies are not
You know designed to be on a moon cycle. I understand that I just mean men can be bitches
That's what I'm actually yes, I'm concurring fully with you that that is it. That is the case

All right, you want to move forward from stagecoach? Leave it in the dust? We were all over the place
with that. Leave stagecoach in the dust? Yeah, I feel like I'm just going to be all over the place.
We're going to talk about a lot of shit because my brain is for a ride right now
Yeah, so this episode is our balancing act
We got to catch everybody up to where we are because there has been a lot going on
There's a lot going on coming up. It's now May obviously and
Freaking wild being at the goat premiere last night and then doing press and they're like, and the GOAT's coming out next week.
I'm like, wait, next week is May 9th?
Sure is.
I'm like, what's today?
What's happening?
What year is it?
Time's flying.
We're a third of the way through 2024.
Dude, that's insane.
Isn't that crazy to think?
Yeah, I felt like 2023 was the longest year since 2020.
And then this year year all of a sudden
I'm like I blink my eyes snap my fingers and it's gonna be like August
Let's get back really quick to that the bomb little bomb you just dropped. Oh, no reunion
No reunion guys if it's in the news
I don't know if it's I think it's out there that we're not sure
But regardless it is 100% true. There will not be a reunion and we are still waiting
We don't know for sure if there's a season two.
Yeah, we don't know for sure, guys.
Truly, we have not been technically picked up,
asked back.
We know our ratings are great.
We would love to hope and assume that we will get
to come back for a season two.
It just has not been officially told to us.
However, I did read in the news today
tmz
Deadline also picked this up from tmz and strangely enough tmz like doesn't bullshit anymore
I feel like they used to be like the national inquirer like in the 90s or like early 2000s and now it's like well
If tmz said it's fucking true, right aliens invade
Rural arizona. I mean, I believe it but TMZ broke today that
Vanderpump rules is taking a hiatus for the summer and they will not be filming in the summer
Which is insane because we started filming Vanderpump rules in 2012 when I was on it and since I've not been on it
They've always filmed fairly the same schedule like a May to August a June to
August or September kind of thing.
And in this article, it said, it didn't give a reason why, but it said a source close to
whoever to the cast says this, and then it says, this will not affect the Valley's like
season two, like pre-production schedule.
And I was like, do we have a pre-production schedule?
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know.
Hopefully, we're not just on the outs.
No, no, no, no.
It felt like it confirmed it to me that we have a season two.
But I did make some phone calls to some reputable people
in my team and said, like, I read this.
Is this true?
And it said, yes, it is true.
Then I saw that Andy Cohen talked about it today
on his show on Series XM, Radio Andy. And he yes it is true then I saw that Andy Cohen talked about it today on his show on
SiriusXM radio Andy and he said it is true and Andy said that he thinks that it is a very good idea
and that they used to do this all the time with housewives and I think this is something I also
want people to know Andy is 100% the face of Bravo but he's not a producer of Vanderpump rules
Andy's like the housewife guy Andy's the watch Watch What Happens Live guy. Andy to me is Bravo in a sense,
but it doesn't mean he knows everything going on with like these smaller shows or franchises,
you know?
Yeah. I mean, he probably hears, it could only be hours, but I bet he hears stuff ahead
of time.
Oh, for sure. I'm just saying he even says it himself. He's like, I'm not a producer
for Vanderpump Rules, so I cannot be like the end-all be-all voice of this but and he's probably not
in the decision making on what shows to keep or dump. Yeah I honestly don't know I've never
asked him but so Andy said yeah we used to do this all the time on Housewives we would say you know
what let's put cameras down for you know four or five months and then come back to them. And then they will have lived life.
Things will be different.
I think it's interesting because I honestly do think it's necessary.
I know everyone's speculating that it's because Arianna's doing Hosting Love Island in Fiji.
That could be a part of it.
She's a very important and crucial part of the cast of Anna pump rules But being that they filmed kind of they really only had the cast only had like a few months off last year
They filmed their whole season 10. They picked cameras back up in March
Then they had like a month or two off pick cameras back up off by off like the quotations around that because it is press time
Is when the show is airing and then right when the show
Finishes airing they pick cameras back up again
So you finished doing your watch what happens live doing all your press stuff and boom cameras back on there's no breathing time
No time for vacation. All right, and this year, you know, they finished season 11 and
Immediately went into press they're doing interview like the confessional, press for it, then it starts airing, they're doing more press for that.
So they've just been going nonstop,
and the scandal of it all, I would assume they're just like,
dude, we need to take a fucking breather.
We can't keep talking about this stuff over and over and over.
Like, what is season 12 gonna look like?
They're still trying to get Ariana to talk to Tom.
Everyone's still feeling and reeling over the same feelings
that they had because they haven't had a break.
So I think it's really good for everyone's still feeling and reeling over the same feelings that they had because they haven't had a break.
So I think it's really good for everyone's mental health on the show.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, just from what I've seen, I'm obviously very new to all this, but learning this whole
circuit, the whole cycle, the annual cycle, it would definitely wear my ass down to go
year after year, especially if Valley were to get to episodes or seasons with 20 plus episodes, it's like
Man, that's four five months of airing like with the show coming out with you know
You got to stay up on the show for the reunions and you're going to do press
You've been flying to new york all this stuff and then cameras pick back up for three months
And then you know, it's just over and over the cycle. Yeah for sure
And like for us, for The Valley,
knowing that we 100% don't have a reunion now,
when we end, if we get a season two,
I would assume we would pick cameras back up
in another month to two months, perhaps.
But for me, just as someone who's done reality for so long
in a docu-series format,
I think picking cameras up soon would be smart
because there's so much going on.
But then no one, like, our audience is not gonna see this
for shit, six, eight months, probably nine months,
yeah, maybe long, I have no idea.
I don't know how quickly they would turn around our show.
So it's kind of wild to think without a reunion
how much is left unresolved from this past summer summer exactly right it's just fucking crazy oh man well don't give anything
away so I want to talk about what I've got I've got so many trips this year it
is a slightly frustrating Kristen because I'm not gonna be around as much
sad but I'm like happy for you I'm equally happy I'm like 100% happy for you
because the trips you have coming up are so important to you and they're like with your dad and fishing golfing and like things you've had planned out.
Right. Yeah, these have been planned for many months.
They just all happen so close together.
Right, which is making my travel coordinating very difficult. So I'll just run down. I'm going to a golf trip, a cool thing my brother and I put together.
He's really the one that puts it together.
I assist a little bit.
But we've got this cool charity golf scramble tournament thing in Tennessee.
Don't want to bore you with the details.
But we're going to Tennessee in two weeks and then two weeks, actually less than two
weeks after that, I'm fishing with my dad and brother in Michigan at Lake St. Clair.
I'm certainly hoping Kristen can come in
to maybe be in Indiana a couple days,
then a few days in Michigan,
and maybe you can see your grandma hang out
with your mom and sister and Amy and everybody
while I'm fishing.
Yeah.
That'd be great.
And then I am coming back to the frisbee world.
If you didn't know,
I'm a former professional ultimate frisbee player.
You said it last week, so now that,
if you didn't know your last weeks, you know now. Did I say that? It's okay I love it
Alexa even knows. Well we need to change because she hasn't updated the title of
the podcast yet. Anyway yeah so I'm just competing in two tournaments there's one
in June and one in July and then I've got an Alaska fishing trip in September.
So that's all, I am not taking on any more trips.
Yeah, been multiple offered and I gotta say no to them.
But just trying to coordinate all that
where I'm like Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana,
Colorado, California, all in a matter of a couple months,
it's a lot.
It is a lot, it's a lot of a lot.
And I think Gibson and I will probably travel a bit,
definitely want to see my family. I'm very sad today too. I mean, I'll just have to like,
I just have to like get it off my chest because Jamie Stone, Love You to Pieces, Jamie also has
a podcast and I've done Jamie's podcast before. We chat a lot on Instagram and she's the sweetest thing and she bought me this candle
and a little note with it that said, light this every time you think of Bowie and on the candle it's like a little paw print and has his name and so today was like a little bit of a heavy day for me
thinking about Bowie because he hasn't been around but then also knowing he's in a better place
knowing he's in a better place.
And now I can travel with just Gibson, which is really nice because for our little family in this apartment, you know, it's me and Luke.
And Luke has Jill, his German Shepherd, the star of the Valley, in my opinion.
So Gibson has had Jill ever since Bowie passed away.
And then when you guys are gone, he's just going to have me, you know, so
I've been taking over Brittany's a gone, he's just gonna have me, you know.
So I've been taking over Brittany's a lot
and he's hanging out with his real brother
from like his litter with Kingsley
and that's been really nice.
So I'm just trying to keep him busy
because I don't know how dogs feel.
I just assume he's feeling sad like I'm feeling sad.
But I'm hopeful that, you know,
Gibson's really easy to travel with
and it's always been really difficult
For me to travel with two dogs
Luke has always had to help me or like back in the day with my ex-boyfriend Carter like two of us had to have
Each have a dog
So I think that is gonna alleviate some of the stress of me not wanting to leave my dogs at home
But today's just a heavy day in that regard
But I think Gibson's gonna be very excited to be moving in Shaken as well. Oh he loves new
places he loves the house this weekend he's a big fan I think and speaking of
the house this weekend we are doing a little house hunting to rent we will not
be renewing the lease at this apartment. Hell no. I mean, you know, the city life is one thing.
The road noise right outside our door is a whole nother.
I mean, I think it makes it tougher for me.
It even drives Kristen nuts.
I mean, yeah, I was about to say you're used to it Los Angeles, but
this year it's making it tough.
So we are searching and exactly where we don't know exactly.
We are in Los Angeles County.
It's in LA County in the Valley, yes and yes.
But that still leaves it pretty wide open.
It does.
And I like how on this last episode of The Valley,
Nia and Danny talked about possibly moving as well
to Santa Clarita, which is where our couples
therapists, like relationship therapists, has talked to us about about but who knows if that's where we'll go
But we are like we need the space. I think it's gonna be really great for my mental health
I think it's gonna be good for Luke's mental health and our dogs physical health in our backyard
Yeah, absolutely
And I guess their mental health too because it can't be fun for them being alone
We have stuff to do, right?
And we leave here for six hours
and they're in the apartment the whole time.
It's, yeah, that can't be fun.
So-
Well, I think for our entrepreneurial endeavors as well,
like James May, the podcast,
like anything else that we wanna continue to do,
like I wanna keep writing, I wanna do a cookbook,
I'm trying, Luke's like, you gotta slow down,
you have enough on your plate right now,
but I'm just like, I like, you gotta slow down,
you have enough on your plate right now.
And I think us moving and having more space will just be good for both of us in that aspect.
So we're not crammed kind of in somewhere trying, like I mean we podcast from like my dining room table.
It's basically when we're not in a studio. That's where we are at the moment. So I wrote this quote down like a while ago from our favorite show, Shark Tank,
and I thought it was really interesting.
One of the entrepreneurs said that entrepreneurship
is honestly a tough road, especially when there's not
a whole lot of guidance.
And I think that is like really true.
I think it is an amazing road.
It's something that I love.
I don't, I'm a bit insubordinate when it comes to
Authority. Authority. Yeah, yeah. Well, it is. It's the figure it out road. It's the willingness to fail and
learn and try something new and be like, well, this way didn't work. Let's try something
different and gauge your risks versus reward, which I talk about a lot.
For sure.
Hey, let's go this route first because it seems like the best option, the lowest risk,
highest reward. Then you do it and you're like, figure out, oh, okay, that's go this route first, because it seems like the best option, the lowest risk, highest reward.
Then you do it and you're like, figure out,
oh, okay, that's why people don't do it that way.
And then you go to the next thing on the list,
okay, let's try this way.
This way is the way most people do it,
and go down that road,
and usually it works second or third try.
That's been my experience.
I think physical space is gonna be very helpful
for both of us in that way.
Yeah, absolutely.
Not like physical space between us,
but like having a bigger place, I'll be.
We get that like every month.
So on top of that, I've got construction going on
in Colorado that I've had contractors showing up.
I gotta get back out there and keep things moving along
because once I finish this edition,
I already said this last week, didn't I?
Yes, you're coming out and you're gonna spend
a month with me
Can't wait planning on coming with you in May and then I was like, oh, what's the point? You're leaving like 14
I am bouncing all over the place. Yeah. Yeah. Well, maybe so at this point
I'm not gonna realistically go to Colorado for a bit
Well, not necessarily you could depending on how long we're in Indiana and Michigan
We could fly back to Colorado together and do a few days there,
because that's where my car will be.
I'm flying into Indiana.
So.
We'll figure it out.
We'll figure it out.
It'll be all right.
We'll figure out our balancing act with that.
It's already stressing me out.
I'm like getting hives thinking about it.
Where I actually like-
I think I'm just tired.
I like chaos.
That's where we're different.
If we can just bridge the gap of like passing the torch, you know what I mean?
Yeah, you do. Yeah, you're you thrive in chaos and I panic in chaos
Which I think is also very will surprise all of our listeners right now because when they're watching the valley, they're like Kristen
Panics and chaos really I would never really do I know what it's true. Like I like to fix things
I want to help I need to like have the truth be set free.
I need to make sure everyone's getting along
as best that they can,
or I just need to remove myself from them.
And I don't like chaotic energy.
But somehow some of our cast members think
I am chaotic energy.
Sometimes you are babe.
I gotta break it to you.
You are chaotic energy sometimes.
It's panic though.
I think it's panic more than it is chaos. Okay, or panic looks like chaos or turns into chaos. I don't know
Okay. Yeah. All right. So the goat we brought that up to it is coming up
Do you want to dive a little more in I think we explained what it was already, right? We did. Yeah
Yeah, it's I call it like a backyard survivor kind of thing
Um, I am fortunate enough to have been able to watch
a bunch of episodes already, not all of them,
but a good chunk of them, and it is fucking hysterical.
It is such a funny show, it is so interesting.
There's a little bit of drums,
but it's like lighthearted sort of drums.
It's literally, it's just ridiculous,
and I hope that show goes on
forever and ever and ever and ever. And I don't know if I mentioned this before
but it was created by Lee Eisenberg who we've been lucky enough to become buddies
with and Lee was a writer on The Office. He did Jury Duty on Amazon, Lessons in
Chemistry amongst many other things. So he's a brilliant brain and I'm so grateful that I was asked to be a part of that show.
And I just, yeah, I hope it goes on forever.
I can't wait.
Like I was talking to Reza last night.
Yes, Reza from Shaw's is on, Jill Zarin from Bravo as well as everyone else you know and
love.
Yeah, let's do a name drop real quick.
Okay, so I can name everyone.
Oh my goodness.
Okay, so the girls. We have Lauren Speed Hamilton
from Love is Blind season one, who I was such a super fan of and died when I got to meet her in
the house and was roommates with her. We have CJ Franco, gorgeous, amazing chick. She was on F-boy
Island season one. We have, like I said, me, Jill Zarin. We have Davon Rogers from The Challenge,
Big Brother, from the challenge.
I mean that you guys got to go to Amazon freebies Instagram page because they're
starting to do these little quick.
Like clip bios of us where Davon's like game, it's all about the game.
It's you're getting mad at me.
Cause I'm playing the game.
Like it kind of shows like who we are anyway.
Then we have a Tisha from bachelor Paola from 90 Day Fiance,
who is one of my besties personally.
We were like bedmates,
like our beds were right next to each other.
Did I name everybody?
All the girls?
I did.
Then on the boy side, we have Chef, AKA Jason,
from Food Network.
We have Wendell, he was the winner of Survivor,
his season, I think it was season 36.
Tech from the real world, Hawaii, back in 99, who I also freaked out about because I was such a fan,
and he was also on the challenge.
Grocery store Joe, we all love Joe from The Bachelor, and who else am I missing? Reza.
And oh, it was like, yeah, Justin, AKA Alyssa Edwards,
who's just the most fabulous.
From RuPaul's Drag Race.
From RuPaul, everyone knows.
And then I'm missing someone, who am I missing?
Joey Sasso.
Oh, and Joey Sasso, duh.
Joey, who we've already, Joey's like, oh my God,
I can't wait till you guys see episode one.
I mean, he is just the light of the house.
Like, he's so much fun. He's so, so much energy.
Can't wait to have all of my cast mates
on the podcast at some point.
Hosted by Daniel Tosh who unfortunately wasn't there.
As a party.
Yeah.
I know, maybe Daniel, are you too cool for us?
No, he was amazing.
Absolutely fucking hysterical.
To me, I think Daniel was the goat of our show.
OK, well, I guess Tosh.0, no, it wasn't really reality show.
I was about to say, reality TV.
It was like a talk show-esque, likes talking shit
about other shows.
Yeah, yeah, I remember it.
It was funny.
Yeah, he made fun of Vanderpump rules before.
We thought we were just God's gift
Because you made touch point. Yes SNL Tosh and Joel McHale when they all made fun of us. I'm like, that's it. We made it
Rest in peace me. I can die happy woman now done so good
so I'm really excited I'm excited for both shows to be the valley and the goat to be airing simultaneously because
You're gonna see me on the goat very differently than the Kristen you see on the valley It's supposed to be the Valley Inn, the Goat to be airing simultaneously because you're
going to see me on the Goat very differently than the Kristin you see on the Valley.
So you're going to get to see like a fun, funny side as well.
And very much out of my element because as you all know, never done competition before.
Didn't know about alliances, didn't know what the hell I was doing, but it was a blast
and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
It looks so fun.
I've seen some episodes too. Everyone's going to be very entertained. I can
promise that. Yeah. Oh, and at the goat party last night, I got to meet Ronald from Jury Duty.
Oh yeah, he was there. I talked to him for quite a bit. I talked to him quite a bit.
Yeah. I saw him from afar. We were standing with Lee Eisenberg and I was like, who is that guy?
So familiar. Because he was pretty far away. And he's like, that'sberg and I was like who is that guy so familiar? Because he was pretty far away. He's like that's Ronald. I was like, oh my gosh, will you introduce me? He was very adorable
He's very tall and yeah, you'll know sweet on jury duty
and then I was over Brits today with Brittany and Zach hanging out with little cruisy swimming and
Zach reminded me that
On jury duty. They actually had member, I don't know if you remember
this, they put this Craigslist ad out, they said, we're doing a documentary about doing
Jury Duty.
And they actually had, I don't remember how many people, I want to say like four or five,
like Ronald's, if you will, but they figured it out too quickly.
So they basically had to go, okay, forget it. That's not our person. And then start production from
like square one again, until they found Ronald and he did not
catch on. And it was just the sweetest, just so innocent.
Anywho, so that was my fan girl moment.
Yeah, he wasn't acting. He said he absolutely thought it was
going to be some low budget deal and just like, you know, it was
a documentary type thing, a handful of people are going to watch,
but you know, it's not going to do anything for his career or anything.
Cause he picked that up off of Craigslist casting call.
And I got to hold a baby goat last night and now I want a baby goat.
Well, I can make that happen.
I would love for you to get some baby goats in Colorado.
Literally in an instant. You want me to get one when you're out there for a month?
Yes. Okay. Done. Okay there for a month? Yes.
Okay, done.
Okay, perfect.
Really?
Yes.
Can I name it?
Of course.
Fuck yes.
We gotta get two though.
You don't want them to be lonely.
No, I don't want them to be lonely.
Yeah, we have to get two.
Are they nice to dogs?
Will they be nice to Gibson?
Or would they like kick him or like butt him in the head?
Babies, they'll all play.
Or butt them.
Butt Gibson with their heads.
I don't know.
They'll play. They're so fucking cute. Anyway
That's what I have going on
As well as I can't wait to just sleep till forever. We're getting there
I also want to say everyone check out James May
Arianna was so gracious to wear her favorite James May shirt learning to fly on watch what happens live
No No, she's not her favorite James May shirt, learning to fly on Watch What Happens Live. No. No?
She did not wear it on Watch What Happens Live.
You can only wear a t-shirt on Watch What Happens Live when you're in season two of
Anne of Pump Rules, which I did.
I did wear a t-shirt one time, but she wore it on the episode of Anne of Pump Rules last
night and I was very surprised how many orders we got before we even posted about it.
I'm like, how did people know that that was James May?
But I text Ariana and Ari, I love you so much. Thank you for repping my brand.
I gave it to her.
I gave her everything before anyone else.
I was like, do you want to wear this to like Dancing with the Stars when you're,
you know, walking through the parking lot, you can crop them.
I'll make you a crop top hoodie.
So I'm really excited.
And next week, this was in the preview for The Valley,
but next week's episode of The Valley
will be my James May relaunch party.
That's next week?
It is next week.
Jeez, I don't even know.
Yeah, so I'm really excited that people get to see
that it's going strong.
Because Andy asked me on Watch What Happens Live,
he was like, and maybe it's a fan question,
and he's like, you know, is James May still a Live, he was like, and maybe it's a fan question, and he's like,
is James May still a thing?
I was like, yeah.
And I brought him the Valley hoodie,
as well as some T-shirts, and Andy, love you,
so gracious of him to post it on his story.
Any of you guys, I don't need celebrities
just to wear my shit.
If you guys rock your James May, please post it,
please tag me, send me a DM.
I will post you all over my feed
It just makes me so happy that people are enjoying
The creative ideas that I come up with it's like it really just brings me so much joy
So thank you
And if you love the valley if you're watching every week and can't wait to see what kind of hellish chaos is gonna happen next
Then get a shirt says the valley on it and it'll definitely be a conversation starter. No for sure
So yeah, I don't know that's kind of like what's going on
I'm sure you could talk about a bunch of other stuff just like feelings and thoughts and feelings
But right now I'm a little fresh out of fucks and a little fresh out of feelings
Which is also a sweatshirt you can buy on Jamesamesmay.co. That's jamesmay.co.
