Thanks to a new feature on Tinder, your chances of getting laid just increased exponentially. Well, not actually exponentially, but by a pretty good amount.

With a new feature called Smart Photos, the hookup dating app alternates the first photo people see in your profile. Then rearranges your pictures based on which first picture gets you the most right swipes. You see Tinder just wants to help you get it on. They're so thoughtful. In case you're skeptical of the usefulness of this new feature, don't be. During the testing period, there was a 12% increase

in matches, which is actually a big deal. So smart photos takes an account. Each individual's swiping pattern. So when selecting which photos they see first, it's a system that gets smarter with more input. The more you swipe, the more you're swiped on, the better the algorithm serves you. So, do you get what that means? So, like, if you're getting matches, they see which one you're giving.

It was your third photo. They've swiped right, which means you like someone when you swipe to the right. And they realize, oh, we're going to move that. That's pretty cool, because we don't know which photos are working, right? I mean, I don't see anything. It's a pretty smart algorithm. It's like it's like A.B. testing when you're doing like advertising like banners on websites and stuff it's kind of like yeah what is your audience fun to what it is. I mean

you've got like a little mini-can in the background of your Tinder app. Oh this one works best here and this one works best here. It's true though but I help friends a lot of times with their messages are like yeah I have friends with their pictures and their messaging, which profile paragraph, what do you think Jamie, you've done some Tinder swiping? Yeah, it's really funny actually, just because the only reason I really got into Tinder before was because of this job, they kind of

I just, you know, I never, myself felt the need to do it. And so that I did, I thought it was like, it's a cool experiment. And that would have been actually really interesting to have that feature when I was on it. Because I had no idea. You never know what kind of shows.

And even if you are skeptical, it's like, okay, well, who cares? Like maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. It's not gonna hurt you at all. So you might as well, like just use it.
