Today's guest is the CEO of Armstrong Economics.
I'm talking about Martin Armstrong.
So buckle up.
Here we go.
Well, welcome to the Sean Newman podcast today.
I'm joined by Martin Armstrong.
Martin, thanks for hopping on.
It's always a pleasure to see you.
It is a pleasure.
It is a pleasure to see you as well.
And looking forward to running into you
when I eventually get to Florida here on our trip.
But, you know, before that happens, I was, you know,
I was sitting in a restaurant and they had a TV above my head.
And it was, I don't know, CBC, CTV, take your pick of the Canadian outlets.
And they were talking about Russia again.
And I was watching it.
And I'm like, huh, that's new.
Because for a long time, they'd kind of forgotten all about Russia.
And I thought, why don't we start to start.
Well, we could, I mean, it is October 7th.
If you want to start with Netanyahu and Israel and all things Middle East, we can start there.
Or we could start with what I was staring at, which was like, okay, Russia's heating back up again.
Not that it had ever gone away, just that the media coverage of it had disappeared.
Yeah, now, I think Russia is a bit more serious, mainly because what you have going on,
And I've said many times that Russia's facing Europe and mainly because Europe is financially broke.
But it's gotten worse since the German elections and AFD's won two now.
From Brussels' perspective, it's a lot.
The Hobson's choice, basically.
If they do nothing, you have these movements rising up in France and Germany, et cetera.
They're anti-EU, mainly because of the migration stuff.
So you even have Maloney out of Italy saying we want some of our sovereignty back.
So either.
They're looking at it that the EU breaks up.
They lose power.
Or they need war with Russia to create unity.
I've said before there's a, it's very interesting.
There's an old Roman historian Salist.
And I thought his observation is applicable today.
He said why his view was that Rome, the Republic fell because once they, you know, had defeated
Carthage and Macedonia and Corinth, that there were no longer an external enemy.
So they turned inward against each other.
And I think that's exactly what we've done.
I mean, the politics are so polarized everywhere.
You know, Canada, United States, Europe.
I mean, it's no longer about what's good for the country.
It's like he said sky's blue.
I've got to say it's red.
You know, it doesn't matter.
So I think what Salas said is correct.
and once communism fell, we've just become extremely polarized.
And Europe has that choice.
They're either going to collapse or they're going to try and hold on to power,
and they've got to keep saying Russia wants to invade Europe.
I mean, there's no reason to do so.
there's no asset they're going to get.
They're going to walk into France,
and the French are just going to say,
you're going to pay our pensions now.
That's about it.
They don't have any energy.
There's nothing of value.
All right.
Whereas they've always wanted to conquer Russia
because it's the richest country in the world
from a natural resource perspective.
So he had Hitler, Napoleon, et cetera.
But the other way around, it just doesn't work.
And this week, our computer was showing the week of October 5th
was kind of like a turning point on this.
And sure enough, what I just did two posts,
One, you know, Zelensky is claiming that Russia sunk a commercial ship in NATO waters.
So we should arm up, let's start nuclear war, let's destroy Russia.
This is basically, you know, he's just a continuation of the neo-Nazis and ethnic cleansing.
So there is no real solution.
It's the same thing you see with in the Middle East.
You know, it's Iran versus Israel.
It's an ethnic religious war.
So it's not like I'll give you this piece of territory, you give me that.
You know, it's those are easily solved compared to this.
It's just systemic hatred.
And I was.
I did have another briefing, and it was very interesting that I was informed that Putin is, you know,
as far as peace is concerned, he's not the problem. They said Zelensky is, and that Trump was going to try and strongarm him into a peace deal.
I said good luck because Trump told him don't attack refineries, and he did the very next day.
And he's publicly come out and said he doesn't care about what happens to diesel.
It's my country first.
You know, Germany's charging a Ukrainian.
They've tracked it out that he blew up the North Stream pipeline.
Ukraine is a rogue country.
Nobody should support it whatsoever.
And he's destroyed the European economy.
And then goes hat and hand, always lying and holding out his hand,
oh, give me money so I can destroy Russia.
You know, he's deliberately been attacking everything and refineries and things like this.
And everybody's warned him, you're sending diesel fuel through the ceiling.
And he says he doesn't give a shit.
Same thing with Netanyahu.
I mean, the two of them should be just locked up.
You know, Trump's trying to get a peace deal.
And he's sabotaged everyone.
and he's now publicly come out and even said,
refused to even negotiate with Iran.
He says you cannot negotiate with savages.
So how do you resolve these things?
Unfortunately, I mean, our computer says it's going to get worse.
So cheer up.
This may be your best day in life because tomorrow is always going to get worse.
But the computer is still showing that we're,
likely to head into a much more serious war.
I do think they are at least starting to listen to me a little bit more carefully.
Because I was warning for that Iran was playing 3D chess and we're playing checkers.
I warned them.
I said, you know, there's no way they're going to raise the white flag
to any kind of a deal before the elections.
I said in 1979, I mean, I guess I'm the oldest guy in the room.
But in 79, they took the hostages, held them for 400 and some odd days,
and they released them the very day Reagan won.
They know how to play politics.
You've got Netanyahu up for elections and Israel, and he got the U.S. midterms.
It's a reverse regime change.
They're bringing down the Trump administration.
You know, so Trump has finally come out, and I guess they listened to me at last,
and said, don't expect any deal until after the midterms.
And even then I question if he's going to get anything because Netanyahu is going to block everything he possibly can.
And if he is on the verge of losing, there is credible concern that he may nuke pick at Mountain in Iran.
He's been trying to get Trump to do it.
Trump won't go there, fortunately.
The other thing that I have warned them about with Ukraine,
again, I don't know who comes up with these strategies,
but they should all be fired.
And I've warned them that if anybody thinks
that you can take down Russia,
and China is not going to do.
do anything? I said, you're out of your mind. China and North Korea are going to come in to
defend Russia because they know you take down Russia and they are next. They would be fools if they
didn't. You know, so all of a sudden, you know, I was called it. I had this another briefing
and I was told that Trump was going to try and strong arm Zelensky.
I also warned them, I said Europe is on a war pass,
and that two people that are going to stab you in the back
are going to be Boris Johnson and Kalis.
And they actually said, yes, we agree.
Now, the other,
thing I was really surprised about, I guess they have connected the dots with Epstein.
And although everybody's talking, oh, you know, the girls and the guy, look, that's not the
issue. That's the distraction. They asked me, who was he working for? I said, Massad. They said,
yes, you're right.
It was an Israeli intelligence operation.
What they didn't know, I said, look, I got mixed up in the second attempt to take over Russia.
There was a first one.
I said, where do you think, you know, I guess they realized that the money for Epstein,
everybody was saying is mysterious.
it came from the club and manipulated markets.
Maxwell, the father of his girlfriend,
was an Israeli spy.
What they didn't know
was that he funded the coup against Gorbachev.
And the deal was
Israel would support the coup.
In return, they would release all Jews
and allow them to go to.
to Israel. That was the deal. The coup failed. Maxwell had lost, I think, up to 200 million pounds
in trading, and it happened to be the employee pension fund. So he was getting subpoenaed in to
testify on that stuff. And he wanted Assad to cover the losses.
he suddenly fell off his yacht.
Didn't know how to swim, I guess.
You know.
So they didn't know that part.
They got 50%.
That's why I think a lot of this conspiracy theory with Epstein and, oh, it's Trump.
This is not the issue.
The issue is geopolitical.
And it's much more serious.
All of that really came out.
Then you're talking about geopolitics with Russia, Israel.
I mean, it just, it gets a mess.
But, look, I was warned that they use girls to get into you.
And that goes back to the 80s.
I've known
all the time, basically, anybody would come up to me,
I would just kind of like hold up the Silver Cross
and say, please go away.
And it was funny one time
I was coming back, flying back with my assistant from London.
She went to the bathroom.
I'm out at the curb with the bag.
waiting for the limo with JFK to pick us up to take us home.
And there was this tall, good-looking black girl.
Chat me up.
I thought she was a hooker because she was in black leather, short, mini-skirt,
you know, the stiletto heels,
which is kind of like a uniform in New York City, you know.
And they usually starts with, hi, anything I can do for you.
No thanks.
goodbye. So I thought she was a hooker trying to pick up people coming in from overseas flights.
So my assistant comes out. I'm just being polite. I'm waiting for the limo. Yeah, fine. I go to London all the time, whatever.
Then we get in the car and she's, boy, I can't leave you alone for five minutes. You're talking to a supermodel.
I said, supermodel, what are you talking about? That's Naomi Campbell.
And it turns out, supposedly Naomi Campbell was part of the solicitation of guys for Epstein.
I mean, it's, I don't know.
Was that, that attempt?
Who the heck knows?
I just always thought it was funny.
I said, I'm sorry, I don't read fashion magazines.
But it's interesting, to pay the least.
When, when.
You say it was surprising on your time, your consultation, where they bring you in and you're like,
it's surprising they started talking about Epstein.
What surprised you about that, that they knew or that they were finally starting to maybe put some things together?
It was the first time I was asked about it.
So it was several years.
I mean, when he was first arrested, Ivan did a block.
post, you can look at it. Just Google it on my site. And I said the question is, will he commit suicide before he pleads or after? I mean, there was no way he was going to get a trial. He was the dead man walking. You don't allow somebody like that to have a public trial. Then he could start calling in Bill Clinton and stuff like that. I mean, there's no way. And I mean, I mean,
and everybody's kind of like, oh, they're protecting these guys.
Look, the people that he solicited in were all famous people, powerful people.
You know, if you're interested in, you know, having sex with some young girl or something,
maybe you do that with a friend from the pub, you know.
You don't go bringing in, you know, former heads.
of state, you know, princes and things of this nature. So it is obviously a honey trap and a blackmail
scheme. So the real question, nobody also asks, okay, what did you do for Epstein? So everybody's
focused on just the sex part. That's, that's a distraction. Okay. The big questions behind it,
it was a honey trap intelligence operation.
What did, you know, what did he get from these people?
There was one of the girls that said he did make a comment about Bill Clinton.
Oh, he owes me.
Ours you for what?
You know, I mean, there's just a lot more of the non-sex issues that nobody wants to talk about.
So that's kind of what surprises me that at least they figured out where the money came from.
If you were running a honeypot, a honey trap with heads of state, what do you think you'd be, well, not, I don't know, Martin, you know the ins and outs of this geopolitical realm as well as anyone.
What would you be, like if you were an evil genius playing 3D chess, what would you be using them to ensure happens?
Well, you have guys that are heads of companies.
You'd have to look at each company.
What do they have at stake?
What could they do?
Prince Albert, it was a way to get into the British royal family.
I mean, who knows what Clinton did?
Did he do things before, while he was president?
I do know of some instances where they gave them a quarter million dollars for a pardon.
I mean, there's so much dirt behind the curtain that it goes in every which direction.
You know, so it's kind of, it's not just one thing.
But obviously, what I can tell you is that it both, what I also have recently learned is that Ukraine is
doing what Israel does. Israel has been funding any opposition to a politician who's against them.
They did that to Massey. I was speaking to one more recently and Ukraine is doing the same thing.
If you're against Ukraine, the money we're giving them for war is coming out through the back door
to the opposition to remove that person.
So we have serious, you know, political interference.
You know, all that nonsense about Russia and all that.
It was, I mean, that was all propaganda.
That was Hillary Clinton because she was behind the whole,
she was a nilicon trying to take down, you know,
Yeltsin back then.
And I know people that were on the Benghazi issue.
You can look at her testimony on YouTube.
And they asked her, well, why were they killed?
Oh, what's the difference?
Because she wouldn't tell, she wouldn't answer the question.
Why?
Because Benghazi was a arms operation, you know, funding in arms to Syria and Libya
to overturn the governments.
I mean, you know, I was told back in the 80s they wanted to take down, you know, seven countries.
And Wesley Clark has come out and said he was told the same thing, but maybe about 10 years after me.
It was after 9-11, he was told that.
When they said they were going into Iraq and he asked, you know, oh, you connected Saddam to 9-11?
No.
we're just using that basically
the excuse
and they intended it to
go from Iraq
right into Iran
but Iraq
wasn't solved
to just a few days
a few weeks
when
you look at EU
and Ukraine
and them wanting to destroy Russia
let's add Canada into it
because Carney has signaled
you know like
lots of different things
things, creating Big Bad US and cozing up to the EU. When you look at Canada, what do you see?
That, look, he is a globalist. If you look at the pure stats, okay, GDP of Germany has collapsed
to 0.8%. Italy, 0.5. Germany's lost, I mean,
sold Volkswagen to the Chinese.
I mean, they've basically losing everything,
mainly because of Zelensky blowing up the pipeline.
And Carney's just an idealistic globalist.
He could care less about the Canadian people, the country,
and he wants to merge you with a failing EU.
I mean, it's crazy.
And what you will see is they will start this war and you're going to have drafts.
And he wants going to send Canadians over there to defend his motherland.
You know, I mean, it's completely insane.
Add in the Alberta referendum coming up then because obviously we're, what, 12 days away as we record this from a referendum in Alberta.
and you had Quebec elect a minority,
but a government that is,
the news up here said,
Sovereignty,
they didn't want to use separatists,
but I mean, you have a government that ran on,
we're going to bring back the question, essentially.
And now you have Alberta,
a boat to have their vote.
And I don't know, like you talk about,
like tightening up to the EU that's failing,
on a mission to go to World War III with Russia, which seems insane.
And you go, well, is any of that going to push Alberta over the edge to leave?
Because right now, the polls, they don't show that it's like 80% saying they want out of Canada.
I don't trust any of these polls at this point because I can't figure out if there would be any part of the globalist machine that would want Alberta not to be a part of Canada when they're trying to wage war against Russia and Iran.
and the U.S. is definitely not unfriendly terms with NATO and all that's going on there.
Look, I mean, the EU has interfered in every election that I know of, starting with the referendum for Scotland to break away from England.
It was EU people went in there to count the votes, and they counted them in their first.
favor. And Italy, they went after a leader there because he wanted to separate. They fabricated
criminal charges and had the courts say he can never run again. Romania, the same thing.
I spoke to people in Romania even the second election. McCrone went over to personally to make sure the
EU won.
I put on
my blog before the
election.
Here was an
former EU official saying if the
AFD won, they would
overthrow it.
This is what I'm talking
about. Brussels is
fighting for their
life.
And
we are in a
a phase where between here and 32, our government on a global scale,
governments are moving more authoritarian,
mainly because centralized government has utterly failed.
Just look at everything that, you know, since COVID,
I live in Florida.
I celebrate, you know, honestly,
DeSantis did a fantastic job.
He didn't lock us down.
And then you had Biden talking about putting restrictions
that nobody could go to Florida.
I mean, it was just, I mean,
and I think his last day in office,
see outlawed, you know, gas water heaters. I grew up with one. You've had these people just,
you know, complete brain dead and not, you know, incompetence over this climate change stuff.
And, you know, oh, the ice is melting. Well, I hate to tell you, but the northern passage has been frozen.
and it has been unfrozen for thousands of years, going back and forth.
There's a natural cycle to this stuff.
You know, they call it volcanic winters.
You know, when Crackatoa went up, there's even a book, you know, the year without a summer.
1816, it snowed in New York City in July.
You know, not everything is us driving around in SUVs.
It's just absurd, a lot of this.
And so we have to really look at this,
but these people have been, you know,
destroying the world economy.
And centralized governments are,
historically very bad.
They tend to lead to revolution and breaking up,
mainly because they think they become like the king or dictator or whatever,
and whatever I say you will do.
So, I mean, that's what our computer's showing is that,
you know, I've been up there to Alberta.
the whole separatist movement is basically taken place there because of a dictatorial centralized control.
Same things happening in the United States.
Same thing is happening in Europe.
Everywhere you go, you know, Europe, the EU basically, you will take migrants.
Now, I will say this.
I understood this is to change politics.
I first encountered this back in 97.
I had the mandate from Hong Kong.
They knew I knew the Australian government,
and they wanted me to negotiate.
They wanted to buy an island or some part of Australia to flee
because Hong Kong was going to be handed back to the China.
I met with former Prime Minister Paul Keating.
And everything I proposed, the answer was no, no, no.
I was getting frustrated.
I said, I have a blank check here.
I am authorized to pay off the national debt of Australia.
No.
It made no economic sense.
So I finally said to him, is this racist? You just don't like Chinese?
Because I couldn't come up with any other rational explanation.
And he said to me, no.
He said they are fleeing communism.
And if we allow them to come into Australia, they will vote conservative, change the politics, and he was a labor government.
This is what I mean.
These people do not give a shit.
They just want power.
The country or the people, nothing.
All these migrants that have been put in, that's the objective.
They will always, you know, Biden opened up the borders.
They will vote Democrat.
Same thing in Europe.
Europe is worse because they ended up bringing in people from the Middle East
who were radicals, different religious.
in different culture, burning churches.
Germany, it came out.
They raped over a thousand girls on New Year's Eve.
And then the hide it, the government told the police don't use the word rape, replace it with assault.
That's what I mean.
They don't give a shit about the people.
So I just win.
That's it.
I listen to you and I see it.
There was a listener who was also listening on coffee and a mic, Mike.
Ferris and Mike in that conversation was talking about I'm going back to Alberta and that
there's been this it's been sent to me now a bunch and emails it's been texted to me and I'm
seeing it again this morning that you know the higher powers won't let Alberta separate
and you had replied something along the lines of well they should probably listen to the people
because good things don't happen if they don't listen to the people something like that Martin
Can you elaborate on that?
Because I feel like that's not only just happening in Alberta.
That's happening.
You know, you just listed off a ton of different places where they're not listening to what the people are saying.
You know, you look at the UK and you see how many people are going to jail for Facebook posts along with other things.
And that's just one spot.
Me and you've had this chat lots that this isn't just one spot of the world.
This is everywhere.
If you don't listen to what the people want and you keep pushing them aside and pushing them aside and change it from rape to,
assault like that's going to change what's actually happening on the ground level other than
the propaganda that they get to tell the people that's happening. Where does that go?
That's what leads to violence. There are two ways to accomplish something. If you look at
the collapse of the Soviet Union, it collapsed because it was basically crumbling from within.
Economically, it was no longer sustainable.
So it collapsed.
They didn't have the money.
Yeltsin stood on the tank.
Don't fire on your own people.
And they didn't.
Okay.
This is the problem.
As long as they look at Venezuela.
Okay, fine.
They could continue to pay the army to kill their own citizens.
So that's what it comes down.
down to. You either allow a separation, a freedom of speech, etc., or it becomes violent.
I mean, the Minsk agreement for Ukraine, the Dombas was supposed to be allowed to vote on separation.
Neokans in 2014, you're going to look it up.
see, they stuck in an interim government, unelected, and ordered them to attack the Dombas.
That's what started this civil war. And again, that was over separation. They are Russian. The rest of them are Ukrainian, and Ukrainians hate the Russians.
So, what do you, you know, it's, it's preventing Alberta from leaving is only going to rise to civil unrest.
There's no other, you know, you either allow a free, fair election or suffer the consequences.
Because eventually this is what ends up.
You know, the joke in the South is that the biggest defensive in the South is that you got a bunch of rednecks.
They got more guns and everything in their basement and just waiting.
But it's, they said, God help, any foreigner that tried to invade the United States from the South.
They wouldn't get very far, you know.
You know, this is history.
You know, whenever government gets oppressive, centralized, just look at the Declaration of Independence and all the complaints that Thomas Jefferson wrote in there.
Mock trials to protect their agents, that they could kill somebody and not have any
repercussion.
Just go down the list.
And refusing to listen to the people.
And the slogan,
no taxation without representation.
What did that really mean?
It meant that they did not have a seat in parliament
to even object.
That's what it meant.
You're taxing us, but we have no right to be heard.
All right.
And this is a very bad recipe, no matter what government you're looking at, historically.
Alberta, you know, I have spoken to some of the people there, as you know.
And I have explained, you know, the nonsense that, you know,
Carney put out, oh, Trump wants to make the 51st state,
the answer is absolutely no way.
Why?
And I have said this to some people in Alberta.
if they allowed Alberta to come as a 51st state, what would happen?
You're going to have the Democrats going absolutely crazy because they probably would vote conservative.
Then that changes the domestic policies.
Okay.
So then they would demand Puerto Rico, Guam, and Washington, D.C.
become states.
It becomes a food fight.
This is the same thing I talked about with Australia and Keating.
If we let them in, they'll change our politics.
All right.
There is no way that no matter what Trump said, all right,
it turns into a political nightmare.
And because they're going to be at each other's throats over something like that.
And you already have people advocating that Washington, D.C. should be a granted a state status, which means they get two senators.
Two senators and it changed the whole balance.
We're 27 days away from midterms.
How important is the next 27 days?
Assuming, you know, like you're looking at the midterms going like, but unless,
unless something miraculous happens, you're looking at it like the Republicans are going to lose, correct?
Yeah.
So then how important are the next 27 days then?
I'm concerned about increasing the prospects of false flags, things of this nature.
Because you got also Netanyahu and things, you know, it's just a real mess.
flipping this to the Democrats.
I believe, you know, that's what the computer's projecting because it shows total chaos going into
2008 for the presidential.
And, you know, I stood up at a couple of or a couple of years ago at our conference and I
said, look, the computer is projecting that the Democratic Party,
split. Everybody said, what? Look, this happens, you know, it's not unusual. You had the federalist
collapse in the 1820s, and then the Jefferson Party was called the Democratic Republican Party,
which then split, okay, and that became Andrew Jackson, you know, Abraham Lincoln, etc. Then
into 1913. You had Teddy Roosevelt, who was a Republican. He split, created the Progressive Party.
All right. So these things are not unusual. All right. And now people, I get emails,
man, your computer's amazing. You got James Carville coming out saying, I'm no longer a Democrat.
I mean, he was the number one advisor to Clinton.
I mean, you have conservative Democrats
that are profoundly against the AOCs,
mandamis, et cetera, the progressives,
who simply just want to, you know,
it doesn't matter.
They never open up a history book.
And, you know,
this whole idea of
taxing the rich
and somehow
you know, a reservoir
of capital among the rich
is
the basis for investment.
You know, somebody wants to
start up a company
where does you get the money from?
All right? They fund the IPOs
and things of this nature. One of the
And this has been a problem for thousands of years.
Athens had a major banking crisis in around 375 BC, 377.
What happened?
After the Peloponnesian War, they lost in 404.
They had taxed the rich to fund the war.
They exploited them.
They had no money left.
all right then exactly is California oh we'll put a 5% tax on the billionaires it's not cash so what
happened was back then what was wealth it was land agricultural land they needed cash to pay taxes and
they tried to sell real estate collapsed there was a banking crisis I mean it was just a
you know, that was the end.
They ended their empire.
You know, it's
this idea that you can always steal from one person
that's prohibited in the Ten Commandments.
Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's goods.
So this has been around for a long time.
And obviously that's there in the Ten Commandments
because it's always been a problem.
And as I say, Abraham 370,
17 BC Athens went through it.
You talked earlier about
you always need an enemy, right?
Mm-hmm.
Carney has the perfect enemy right now in Trump.
He's built, you know, he got elected on it.
You see almost every election in Canada right now.
BC is a prime example of where,
I mean,
Eby's, nobody cares what Eby's saying,
or at least that's what it looks like out in B.C.
But certainly,
with Carney, he's positioned himself against the U.S.
and Donald Trump and the aggressiveness of the United States,
and that has rallied Canadians to him.
It seems like it's across the board.
Eventually that ends for him.
And will Canadians go along?
I don't know if you can even answer this question.
I just look at it.
I told you last time we talked,
around the water cooler, I've never heard anyone say,
hey, let's go join the EU.
And then anyone who's got their head on their shoulders watching what the EU is doing,
it's everything you've said.
It's like they are going down a dark road.
This is not getting any better.
And yet Carney is continuing to move that way.
If he loses Donald Trump as the arch nemesis of Canada and Canadians wake up to that,
is war the next thing that they point towards in Russia?
Most likely, yes.
I mean, yeah, I mean, look, he,
part of the trade negotiations, and he presents it as, oh, you know, it's threatening our sovereignty.
What's he really saying?
That China can come in, set up a plant and then export to the U.S.
because the trade statistics, what's wrong with them globally here,
it's the last port where it came from.
So that's how these, you know, China has done that with Mexico.
You know, I think they're one of the biggest now manufacturers in Mexico.
And then it comes in from Mexico with the United States.
So that's what Carney's talking about.
you know, that they end up just being a stepping stone for another country.
This has been going on for a long time.
There's nobody also there at the docks, counting the number of Toyotas to come in.
The trade statistics are,
Only looking at dollars.
That's it.
All we bought, you know, a billion more, so that means we got more.
Not necessarily.
This is one of the things I've warned them about.
Because this is why economics doesn't work from everything we were taught in school.
It's completely failed.
Because all those theories.
series were based on during the Brenton Woods gold standard.
So currency was never a fluctuation, never a variable.
So, oh, we bought another billion from Canada, so therefore the trade deficit went up.
We got more goods.
Not if the dollar went down.
If the dollar went down 20% with the same amount of goods, you're paying out 20% more dollars, right?
These, that's what's wrong with these theories.
They're domestic oriented and they're still trapped by the old Brentwood system.
It just, look, you know, they're all just bogus anymore.
On my site, there's a, I put on some of the pages from Paul Volker's book from 1979,
Rediscovery of the business cycle.
I know, you know, Paul, I had a long conversation with him.
And in his book, he states,
the New Economics or the Keynesian Economics failed in 1974.
He recognized it right there.
That was the first crash after the fall of Brenton Woods.
It failed.
all right
the floating exchange rate system
was never designed by anybody
Nixon closed the gold window
he thought it would be a negotiation
everybody would agree
they did have the Smithsonian
agreement
by December and it failed
so we ended up with this
monetary system floating exchange rate
And everybody said, well, I guess it's working.
That's how we are where we are today.
I mean, no, you know, genius sat down and did this.
I actually was giving a speech because I was probably the first in foreign exchange forecasting back in the 70s.
And I was giving a lecture at a trading conference in Chicago.
I don't remember if it was market technicians or if it was compi track.
Lo and behold, Milton Freedman came to listen to me.
I got done.
He came up.
Hi, I'm Milton Freeman.
I said, yeah, I know who you are.
And then he said to me, he says, that was the best speech I ever heard.
And he said, you're doing what I just dreamed about.
And I'm like, huh, you know, I'm just a traitor.
What are you talking about?
And here in 1953, he had written about a floating exchange rate
and how the currency movements would put checks and balances on governments.
I'm giving a speech on capital flows.
I'm getting called in by Lebanon and England,
all because of currency crisis.
All right.
It didn't really change policies.
I think he was maybe wrong on that.
that, I mean, I advise to keep Maggie out of, you know, the Euro.
So they staged a coup to get rid of her.
And then John Major comes in, takes the pound into the ERM, overvalues it because he wants to look strong, too high, starts getting attacked by Soros and everybody else.
Soros becomes famous, makes a shitload of money.
I get called in on that.
I told him, I said, look, you overvalued the pound.
You've got to devalue it.
I was told, and this is what I mean about politics.
I was told we can't do that because John Major ran for election,
and he promised not to devalue the pound.
So I said, okay, fine, look.
If that's off the table, I said,
Have them say this.
We're going to allow the pound to float to seek its own level.
Same thing.
Instead of you're doing it, you're letting the market do it.
That's how politics works.
I get called into these things because I understand what I call word smithing.
You just change the word and it's okay.
That's basically the way politics functions.
Who is the last guy?
that was a leader for the people.
Actually, like, you know, when you talk about politics and like, well, you go back to your Australia story,
well, we can't do that because that would change the voting demographic.
Right.
So you're not going to do what's best for your country because then you would get ousted.
That's what you're saying.
And you see that over and over and over again in whether it's provincial here in Canada,
to federal, on and on to different countries.
When was the last person politician you ran into where you're like, holy crap, I don't think we've seen this before.
I would say with Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher.
Since then, those two actually had the interest of the country at heart.
Since then, no.
I draw the line in 1999.
Because before then, I was part of the vetting process.
It would send me in for these people who wanted to run for president.
And my job was initially to explain how the world economy really
functions that were all connected, not just domestic stuff.
And, but it was a vetting process where I would then return and they would say,
do you think he's smart enough to handle it?
Then I was told, I swear to God, they said to me, we want you to go down to Texas to meet
with Bush Jr.
I said, yeah, okay, fine.
And they said to me, no, this one's different.
I said, what's different?
And they said, I swear to God, they use these words.
They said, no, he's really stupid.
Well, I bet if you got called in to vet Justin Trudeau, you would have got the same talking.
Probably.
Listen, listen here, Martin.
This guy's different.
You remember Bush Jr.?
This is a whole new level.
So I saw how it worked.
They picked the cabinet.
They picked Dick Cheney.
I was actually asked, would I take the position of chief economic advisor in the White House?
I said, no.
I'm not giving up my company for that.
Do you wish you would have done that now?
Absolutely, no way.
So if, you know, like when I sit here and have these conversations with you, Martin,
and I've got to meet you several times now, right?
And hopefully here and later this year I'll be sitting across from you again
and get to attend a conference of yours and like lots of cool things.
You've got to meet my wife, you know, like I just feel like, you know,
you get to know somebody a little more personally that's not through a screen.
I go, like, is there ever going to be a time where you look at your leaders and go,
Oh, there.
But Martin, if, if Sean Newman got elected into politics tomorrow, I'd be picking up the phone with Martin.
I need some help here with some things on the economic side.
Like the time they did that to you, you're like, no.
And you don't regret going in there at all because you're like, uh-uh.
That's like a den full of vipers essentially.
Look, at that point, he, you know, Bush was just going to be the figurehead.
That was it.
Dick Cheney, look, I met those guys.
You know, I think I even said on stage in Alberta,
when I shook hands with these people,
I felt like I needed a shower afterwards, you know.
I never liked Dick Cheney, didn't like McCain,
Lindsey Graham.
I mean, there's something wrong with those neocombs.
I've tried to get my head around it, but, and I've said this in meetings in Washington.
All I can figure out is they grew up hating communism.
Communism fell, and they're just pissed off they didn't get to shoot anybody.
Again, it's dealing kind of like what I said with dealing with.
with, you know, Paul Keating.
It just makes no sense.
There's no logic behind this.
You know, I understand economics.
And I've studied economies from ancient times forward.
You want world peace.
The answer is very simple.
You know, Rome achieved it with Pax Romano, basically.
I'm doing a book for this year's conference.
on Julius Caesar.
He's been so
disparaged
a dictator that
no, he was trying to save the Republic.
The
corruption
then was so
overwhelming.
Why is we have a, he
did the calendar. Why?
Because the high priest
had discretion when to put in the
leap days. It was
bribed. We don't want to go to election right now. Give us a couple months.
When Caesar supposedly crossed the Rubicon, January 10th, 49 BC,
that should have been dead a winner. It was summer.
Now, when you can manipulate the calendar for politics,
I think, you know, it just symbolizes how bad things really were.
And this is...
So...
We don't.
I've told you this many a time.
I'll bring it back up.
You've been talking about 2032,
probably a lot longer than I've been paying attention to you,
but in 2020 at the Michael Campbell's conference,
you mentioned it,
and I was sitting there listening,
I'm like,
who is this guy?
And what is 2032?
And every time I come back on,
oh my God,
2032 is getting closer.
And the world,
instead of like straightening out everything,
seems to be
rapidly
accelerating into a collision course
with, you know, like,
I mean, if you were the biggest
Trump fan, you would have said,
and you can still be the biggest Trump fan,
you would have thought,
peace between Russia and Ukraine, no peace there.
You would have been have thought of Iran.
Iran's there.
Israel's messed up the peace negotiations.
The last time I was there talking with you in June,
we were talking about that.
Everybody signaling he was going to
try and get peace before midterms. Well, I mean, you were the one who told me. He's like,
I remember two weeks to peace, right? Well, now we're months and months and months past that.
And it's funny how politics works and the neocons work. And, you know, last time you're on,
you talked about, and I seen you just tweeted about it actually too, about Netanyahu and where he
started and his neocon ties and everything else. I'm like, like this isn't slowing down. So in the next,
you know, five plus years, you know, like I just finished driving across Canada, Martin.
The cost of fuel is insane. But if this is just the tip of the iceberg, how bad does the cost
of fuel get in the next five years? How, like people just putting things on their table,
work for a living, I don't know, escape a military draft, all the things we've been talking about,
Is that all coming down the pipe?
Is that what your computer shows in the next five plus?
Yeah, I mean, look, to get the political change, okay, we have to go through this.
It gets the average person off their ass stopping and watching the latest, you know, basketball game or hockey or whatever and say, you know, this is screwed up.
I want change.
You have to get to that point.
that's what creates it.
It was, you know, even the American Revolution,
the majority were not for it until Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet called Common Sense.
That finally was the spark.
And everybody said, you know, he's right.
And that started it.
You don't get, you know, they're not going to fix it until they know it's broken.
And what we're talking about, you can see it now.
Okay.
But it's getting, we need everybody else to see it.
I mean, the nonsense I heard about, oh, if Alberta separates, your real estate will collapse.
No, the real estate will absolutely go in the opposite.
way.
It's
if you had a message,
I mean,
we're 12 days away.
By the time this airs,
it will be 11 days
until the referendum.
Now,
it's a referendum to see if they have a referendum,
regardless,
that besides anything,
if you had a message
to the Alberta people
on their big day coming up,
I ask this pretty much
every time I've had you on
over the last year,
what would be your message to Albertans?
Vote? Absolutely yes. I mean, you're entitled to your own human rights. You know, it's not, you know, getting drafted to go defend Carney's buddies in Europe. Oh, climate change. So there isn't a pipeline from Alberta to the east. That's absurd. The East is.
got to import oil from the Middle East.
That's why your prices go up even more.
Oh, but climate change, we've got to save the world, you know.
I mean, come on.
I mean, there's no, even if Canada did everything, what's the rest of the world do?
Oh, it didn't work.
Didn't, you know, it's like a drop in the ocean.
Look, you know.
You have to break people out of that, though.
The climate change thing.
I just, once again, I just drove across all it can.
You hit the Ontario border coming from Manitoba.
You do not leave trees after that point.
I mean, sure, when you drive into Toronto,
but like 20 minutes north of Toronto, it's just forest.
I'm sitting in New Hampshire right now.
All it is is trees.
Actually, now we're, I suppose now we're close to Boston.
Never mind.
I'm not in New Hampshire anymore.
But every time I drive, all it is is trees, Martin.
I'm like, how is anybody convinced, like, can you hurt the environment?
Sure.
Do we need to be better and do that?
Okay.
But like, we're going to sequester carbon to capture it.
And we're going to do all these crazy things because, and we're going to attack ships because we're going to save the planet.
And people are buying that.
Like, how do you snap them out of that?
Like a breadline, as one person has told me, that'll be one way.
But like, they have created this.
They have indoctrinated so much of the population.
and that we're fundamentally destroying the planet.
Yet everywhere I look, I'm like, I just don't see it.
Like, I mean, I just drove across one of the largest countries in the bloody world.
And the only thing I see is the cost of living is through the roof.
Everybody talks about how dangerous it is, just society in general, right?
Living in a city and the gangs and the criminals and the homelessness and the drugs,
it's all so evident.
It's just sitting there, you know?
And yet they have to snap.
people out of the climate well and we got to make sure we protect the climate.
There was a girl to show you how it indoctrinated some of these people are.
You can look this one up.
I mean, she took a cup of tomato soup and threw it on the Mona Lisa.
Fortunately, he has glassboard.
Oh, because it's made from oil paint.
Honey, it's not, that's linseed oil.
I mean, they don't even understand the difference.
They're so indoctrinated in some of this stuff.
It's crazy.
Here in Florida, we had one politician, and she stood up
because there's a red tie that shows up sometimes in the Gulf.
And what she said, it's all the farmers and vote for me,
and I'll put restrictions and shut them down.
I googled, all right, red tide.
first one reported by the Spanish 1642.
Where were their chemicals and farmers then?
You know, it's,
would they have to blame us for everything?
Well, they need the enemy.
You talked about it earlier.
If you have an enemy to focus and pull everybody together, unity, right?
But as more people start to,
but as more people start to wake up to the varsity of it,
then you get civil unrest.
You get this disruption.
You get things like the convoy.
You get things like Alberta being like, we just, we don't want this anymore.
We just want to return to some normality.
But in, you know, then I get into, you know, the thought of like, will the global powers
that be allow Alberta to leave?
And I don't know what your thoughts are on that.
There's a lot of people that do not think there is any chance that Alberta gets to leave
because the global establishment does not want that.
Look, they flew Greta.
Who paid for her to visit Alberta to say,
give up all your jobs and stop pumping oil?
I've got the outtakes from the movie The Forum.
And, you know, there was the girl from Greenpeace writing the script for that 16-year-old
girl Greta.
And then she realized it's being filmed.
And she said, please don't put that in the movie.
You know, everything is an absolute, it's just propaganda.
And they use it all to just manipulate everything that they can.
And it's generally for power.
It's, it gets to be pretty pathetic.
You know, I think what you will see in the next, you know, Democrats get a hold of it is going to, I think, turn into a much more bigger scandal.
But I think they're going to go after Trump's family and particularly his son-in-law, Kushner.
Why do I say that?
Look, Hillary Clinton, if you'll recall, had her private server.
Emails disappearing, stuff like that.
If it's private, it's not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
Kushner and Wakeoff, lying around, doing all these negotiations with Iran and Russia,
they're not government employees.
Volunteering.
Why would they do that?
Because whatever they do and say is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
They got deals that they've cut with Israel, with Ukraine.
All this is going to come out.
And it may be a criminal investigation.
I don't, you know, the next two years is going to be a mess.
It's just going to be an absolute mess.
I think the political side,
Trump won't,
I can tell you,
as you know I've said before,
the Netanyahu went to school in Philadelphia.
Yeah.
But he hung out with the crystals.
Urban crystals the one that starred
the whole Neuacom movement.
So he was the Trojan horse.
How did he get in the room?
To sell this,
idea. Kushner's father was a backer of Netanyahu from way back when. He used to stay at their
house and he's a family friend. That's how he got in. And unfortunately, and I've said this,
published it, Trump is allowing his legacy to be destroyed because he won't tell the truth and just
throw Netanyahu under the bus.
I think
it has to do
with his son-in-law.
And
it was sold to him,
and I know at least two people in that meeting
objected.
Rubio was one of them.
Netanyahu,
he sold this war
on the basis that
he knew where the
Ayatollah would be.
We kill the Ayatollah day one, we win.
This is always what he does.
He tries to assassinate the head of Hamas or Hezboa or whatever,
and he thinks he's going to win.
Take out the leader.
It doesn't work.
All right.
Iran knew that.
They know his strategy.
He assassinated in 25 on that raid.
a number of their military leaders.
So what did they do?
They reorganized their government, set up four tiers.
You can look, Rubio's even said,
we're negotiating with the third tier.
He keeps killing people, all right?
That isn't the way to do this.
And what he has done has rallied
even people that didn't support that government.
I know one Ukrainian lawyer over here.
Been here for a long time.
Basically, the way the Iranians were treated in the World Cup,
offended that person.
Because when you do this,
you demonize everybody,
in the country. All Iranians, oh, stay away. All right. Russians, oh, stay away. This is part of the
propaganda. All right. Every country you go to, not everybody's, you know, supports the government.
You know, there's always, you know, one group that's four, one group that's, I mean, that's just the way it is
everywhere. All right. But when you get into these situations, they demonize the entire.
entire population. So what does that do? It ends up taking the people that are even here
that were against that crazy religious government still support Iran. Shouldn't be bombed.
You're killing civilians. There's a line here. And Netanyahu doesn't know his ass from a
hole in the ground. I'm telling you. He and Zelensky, the two of them, should be locked
up in a padded room.
So they can't kill themselves
and they have to basically sit there
for the rest of their life remembering every
day.
Death penalty is way too
good for them. But
he sold its idea
to Trump. If they can do that to Trump,
who's arguably in the last
I don't know how to pick your mind
or your time frame,
he was the guy
that got hoodwinked in the first term.
right and so he comes back second time around knows everything right i've got it all figured out
and then what you're saying is gets hoodwinked again but this time it's family you go what
what chance does the average person or any good politician if that even exists have when they
have planted people in places like Ukraine, like Israel, on and on it goes, to actually get to a place
of like de-escalation. Like, let's just pull back from the brink of World War III, of nuclear war,
of all these crazy ideas, Martin. Because if Trump can't see it and you go, well, yeah, but it's family,
it's like, yeah, but they've literally hoodwinked this guy. They've shot him in the head.
I mean, like, how many more at that point you can't trust anyone.
It's like you have to sit there and be like, you know, I can see what's happening here.
I don't know.
I think they're using his ego against him that he just doesn't want to admit that he made a mistake.
And as a consequence, his legacy is going to be destroyed.
And he's taking down the Republican Party with him.
And the only light at the end of the tunnel is that maybe Kushner and the rest of them end up in prison, like his father.
I don't know.
But what I do know historically is that it's got to get worse before you get to change.
You don't fix something until everybody knows it's broken.
And we're on that road.
Yeah, we continue to march closer to it.
I mean, in Eastern Canada, the highest gas price I saw was $2.23 a liter, which, you know, is basically $9 a gallon.
And if you think it's going to get worse, not better, where do diesel slash gas prices go?
We're showing that the computer warns that crude oil even could go up.
The most extreme projection, 234 by 28.
Now, the only thing I can see why crude oil would go up that high is possibly the Houdis
do serious damage to Saudi Arabia.
The Middle East extends war more.
And Zelenskyy starts World War III.
Europe has no energy to speak of other than Norway and Britain's got some.
But that's about it.
So, I mean, this is, we are in insane territory here.
And that's saying something, Martin, for our conversation.
When you think about it.
Because I mean, we've been doing this for a while.
And when you're ending a podcast, we're insane territory.
I'm like, oh, man.
It felt like we were insane territory four years ago.
Well, it's, I mean, the option.
You got sent, Zulinski is he says he doesn't give a shit.
He's publicly come out and says, I don't care what happens to diesel.
My country comes first.
you know you're going to take the guy out one way or not
um couldn't the
couldn't the u.s just walk in and be done with this
why can't why can't if it's if it is that close
why can't the u.s just walk in and be like no more
delinstein comes over to canada and somehow his plane
just disappears out of the night sky
and it would probably be a blessing you would save the world
um
could
Look, I've got tapes.
He was a neo-Nazi.
Zelensky was pretending the same as Soros.
He pretended he was Christian.
He married a Christian girl.
His children are baptized.
I've got videos of him on stage as a comedian before being president.
Making jokes about confiscating assets, as Soros did, from Jews.
and Russians.
He suddenly becomes Jewish,
only when he becomes president.
Why?
That's the hide is neo-Nazi.
Oh, see, I'm Jewish,
so I couldn't have been a neo-Nazi.
No, sorry.
He was pretending to be Christian the whole time.
He is a real piece of work.
You know,
One of my sources over there was Gonzalez Lira.
He's the one exposed that Zelensky was a co-cat.
He suddenly arrested thrown in prison for criticizing Zelensky.
Miraculously, he dies of pneumonia in prison.
So what did you do?
You keep the temperature down to zero or what?
How did you kill him?
I have no compassion for Ukraine, and I'll say that I don't care.
They are, you know, Putin has gotten a raw deal, mainly because the neocons are pissed off.
What is the second attempt to take over Russia that they got me.
he involved in. It asked me to put in $10 billion to this hermage capital I refused.
That was run by Bill Browder and Bill Browder has also came to Edmund Safra.
Bill Browder was also with Maxwell around the Russian portfolio. It's all connected here.
and Yeltsin was caught between two forces.
One, you had the neocons trying to take over Russia,
used the bank in New York to blackmail them,
and said, you stepped down and nobody will know
that you stole $7 billion from the IMF.
And they wanted him to put in this guy,
Barrasnovsky.
another olgark
on the opposite side
the old hardline communist
filed a motion for impeachment
so yeltsin
turned to Putin
that's how Putin comes in
everybody cheered
why because he wasn't an olgark
and he wasn't a communist
the Russian people
did not want to go back to communism
but the neocons
hate him because
he shut them down.
That's why they asked me to write that peace plan.
And I was told, why?
Sorry what they did to you, but it gave you more credibility
because Putin knows I've refused to participate.
All right.
That's how I get called into this shit.
But it's...
That's why they hate him so much, because he shut down their operation.
He confiscated that company they wanted me to put the $10 billion in.
He confiscated everything.
Bill Browder fled the country.
It's just a real mess.
They won't tell the truth about anything.
And I can tell you the last words of Yelton.
To Putin, protect Mother Russia.
And that's all he's done.
Nobody wants to invade Europe.
He's been there since 1999.
If he wanted to do something, I think he would have done it a lot so, you know, a long time ago.
He's about ready to retire, and you're going to wait to this point.
It just said, you know, it's great, but they got the press on their side.
They get their talking points from the neocons.
this is what you're going to say.
Oh, we're fighting for democracy in Ukraine.
Really?
Zelensky refuses to stand for election.
The Minsk agreement said the Dombas was supposed to be allowed to have an election.
Oh, but you're fighting for democracy.
You know, I'm just sick of it.
I'm up to here.
I've had enough of that.
And their propaganda is so much.
and I can't believe all the stupid people that even believe it.
Well, Martin, thanks for hopping on the podcast today.
I'll look forward to running into you here, hopefully, in a couple of months,
and we'll get to, I don't know, shake hands again.
It's always great to meet different guests in person
and getting to know you over the last couple of years.
I'll look forward to my time in Florida when we finally arrived.
But either way, thanks for hopping on.
and sharing some of your insight with me today.
Well, it's always a pleasure,
and I can't wait to see it here in the land of the free
in the home of the brave,
because it's just Texas and Florida.
That's all that's left anymore.
Thanks, Martin.
We'll look forward to the land of the free.
All right.
Take care.
