This is Alex Krenner.
This is Dave Collum.
This is Bruce Party.
Hi, this is Jeremy McKenzie, the raging dissonant.
Hello, this is Maxim Bernier.
This is Danny Beaufort.
This is Chuck Prodnick.
This is Vance Crow, and you're listening to the Sean Newman podcast.
How's everybody doing today?
Welcome to the podcast.
Happy Thursday.
And, you know, I just got a text, and I'm going to pull it up real, real fast, okay?
From Clare and Mark out of Alberta here, they said,
bought some silver from Graham at Silver Gold Bull.
Got our coins today.
Beautiful.
I thought that was a nice way to,
I enjoy texting with all you.
Anytime you buy something from Silver Gold Bull,
I love it because then I get to talk about it here.
And so if you're buying things,
by all means, reach out to me.
I would love to hear,
and if you don't want your name used or anything like that,
just let me know.
But super cool that people are taking them up,
calling Graham, emailing Graham,
and, you know, getting involved and getting into their house.
You know, if you've never picked up a silver coin, I was just, well, today's episode with
the cowboy preacher, I gave him a silver coin.
And we were talking about it after, and he's like, man, that's, like, super cool.
He was like, that's like super cool.
So if you've never taken the plunge, you know, for 40 bucks, you could have, well, I mean,
and shipping, I guess, if you only buy one.
But, I mean, you go to silvergoldbolt.com.
You can have one at your house.
probably end of this week, start a next week in your hand,
and you can see what I'm talking about.
And if you do, and you do that,
please share it with me because I would love nothing more,
I would love nothing more than to hear your story and share.
To me, that's part of what this is all about, you know?
They're offering, Silver Gold Bull right now is offering a special price to all of you
on the Royal Canadian Mint Silver Maple Leaf.
It's not available on their site.
You've got to call or email Graham and get the Dietz.
and from there you can, well, you can have a little bit of fun.
And I'd love to hear all about it.
And if you want nothing to do with that,
then if you're listening to this and you support the show and what we do,
I would love it if you would reach out to Graham and just say,
hey, thanks for supporting Sean, because that's, it's huge.
Honestly, on this side, I cannot explain to you how huge it is
to have them a part of what I've been doing and to support it
and to be along for the ride just like all of you.
And all the details for calling or emailing or down on the show notes.
If you want to go check it what they're all about,
Silvergoldbull.ca.
McGowan, professional, chartered accountants
that christen and team.
You know, I can't speak highly enough of these ladies
because, you know,
to have someone believe in the show, one thing,
to support free speech
and starting conversations as a business,
I think a step up as well.
And then to offer, you know,
accounting, bookkeeping,
business consulting, and training,
financial planning, and tax planning,
and do it with a smile on your face
when I just absolutely, you're not a worse day in my week than when I have to go and deal with the paperwork of the podcast.
Frustration.
These ladies do it with a smile on their face, and I realize they're getting paid folks.
Like, I realize that's their job.
But I don't think you have to enjoy your job.
Like, I think there's a lot of us that don't enjoy their job.
And what I'm trying to point out is they really enjoy it.
And they're also looking to hire.
They're looking for a CPA.
So if that's someone like you go to McGowan, CPA,
for all the information.
Coming up in April 27th, we have, well, we have a list of speakers coming.
There's only, at the time of recording this, we're down to 76 tickets left.
And should I, should I go take a look?
It was 76 this morning.
Let's just see if we've sold any more.
How about that?
And wouldn't you look at it?
Yeah, we've sold two more.
now it's 74 tickets, okay?
As we're going along here, 74 tickets left for SMP presents the Cornerstone Forum.
I've been posting a lot about it in substacks, so if you want to go see some of the reasoning
behind the name, and the guests.
So you got Luongo Criner, Thorup, Martin Armstrong, virtually, Chris Sims, Chuck Pradnik,
Curtis Stone, all these people are going to be in Lloyd Minster on Saturday during the entire day.
It's a forum.
It's going to be lunch, supper, some evening entertainment.
an interesting day. Sunday morning. I'm doing my first ever SMP presents, I don't know, Sunday service.
I've got the cowboy preacher on stage, Tanner Nadey, and Cam Milliken. Cam hasn't ever been on the
podcast, but he's been a preacher all of his life. And all three men have, you know, in and around
my life as I continue on my journey. I'm excited to do it. I'm a little bit nervous to do it. I hope to
see you there Sunday morning. As I flesh out all the details on Sunday morning, I will share here.
It's going to be in Lloydminster.
It's going to be free.
Donations only.
And the donations are going to cover the cost of renting the building.
If we raise $10,000 or something silly, I plan on donating it.
So you just come and be a part of this event any which way you want.
There's only 74 tickets left to the actual SMP Presents Cornerstone Forum on Saturday.
And I should point out, it will not be aired on the podcast.
This one is going to be behind a paywall, probably on substack.
So if you're looking to get that, make sure April 1st, the substack paywall gets turned on.
So sign up.
That way you don't miss anything.
Either way, look forward to April.
April is going to be a busy month.
We got the April 1st tax protest coming.
Sam Field is on tomorrow.
So we're going to hear all about that.
Okay, that's what I got for you today.
Let's get on to that tale of the tape.
I know him as the cowboy preacher.
He's also one of the founders of the full armor of God man camp.
I'm talking about Joshua Allen.
So buckle up.
Here we go.
So welcome to the Sean Newman podcast.
I'm joined today by Joshua Allen, the cowboy preacher.
I think we dubbed that last time.
Yeah, man, you got me labeled the cowboy preacher.
Now I run into people all over the country and say, hey, you're the cowboy preacher.
I said, yeah, praise God, I'm the cowboy preacher.
And it's funny on episode 600 I interviewed the fringe preacher.
So I'm like, oh, boy, all these preachers in there, and they're, it doesn't matter.
No, the room is fantastic.
I love my room.
But at some point, you know, when you get a next-door neighbor, I feel bad for him because he comes in and he wants to do work and he can hear me yammering away.
And then if he starts talking, you can hear him.
And, you know, and there's just some quirks.
And I love the office.
Love the studio.
Love what I've done with the space.
Love the guy who runs the building.
Wade's been fantastic to me.
But I look at it and I go, someday I would like to have where I can't hear a soul.
anywhere around me.
And just...
Peace and quiet.
Yeah.
When a conversation starts,
you don't have to worry about who's in the building
because nobody's in the building.
Well, and your neighbors in this building,
since you brought me in here,
probably going to be aware of it
because the good Lord gave me like a built-in amplifier system
where I could preach without a mic.
I was preaching the other day
in a Humpty's breakfast joint with my buddy,
actually my lawyer,
and there might have been 50 to 100,
people listen to us go on and on and on about the goodness of God.
The next thing you know I turn around, it's like a church service.
We got a congregation eating breakfast all listening in, nobody talking.
And I realized, wow, I forgot about these people.
Did you have, been loud?
Do you, um, were you ever embarrassed about it?
Like, at a point way back, I don't know how many, a year, 10 years, a decade, two decades,
where is there a point where you'd walk in and you'd be telling your story and you'd be a little
more quiet,
maybe we should find a quiet spot away from people.
And were you ever there?
Or have you always been the,
I'm not too worried about what other people think.
I'm going to say what's on my heart, my mind.
I've always been a loud person.
I think the Lord created me that way.
But before I fully surrendered to Christ,
before I went all in for the Lord Jesus,
man, I couldn't share Christ with a border collie dog.
I was a coward.
I would, you know,
I could fight somebody in the street,
even a, you know, a terribly dangerous person and not be afraid of them.
But public speaking before I surrendered to the leading of the Holy Spirit, man,
terrified me, terrified me.
To sit here and talk to you about what the Lord did in my life
or what the Lord's doing in the lives of hundreds of men now through man camp,
I couldn't do it.
No, I could tell you about hunting coyotes and I could tell you about fights
and crazy fishing adventures.
but when it come to share in my faith,
in the flesh I couldn't do it.
In my own strength,
in my own God-given intelligence,
I could never pull this off.
This is something that the Lord is,
by letting the Holy Spirit lead me,
he's enabled me and equipped me to do this.
And it's an honor and a privilege to serve God.
Like I'm aware that in my own ability,
I can never pull this off.
Let's talk about Man Camp.
You got it coming back around.
and by all accounts it looks like it's it's filling up or or you know because this is what the third year you've done it
this is the third year yeah the first year um the lord put a passion in my heart after whining and complaining
to him about the condition of men in the body of christ the revelation that the bulk of the men in the
body of christ were spiritually asleep was overwhelming me i had become totally critical
There was a critical spirit at work in my day.
Every time I'd think about it, you know, working on a team of pretty much all women most of the time,
I'd become bitter.
And I guess almost would have been February before the first man camp,
the Lord just kind of spoke to my heart clearly and said, quit whining, quit sniveling,
and quit crying about the condition of the men in the body of Christ or the body of Christ as a whole.
and believe me, by faith,
to use you to do something about it,
and that's where Man Camp came.
The revelation overwhelmed me.
I phoned a hardcore buddy of mine,
Yarlegru Tyson and Bonneville.
I said, God, I think God just, you know,
commissioned me to do something
to wake up the men in the body of Christ,
to wake them up, to remind them of who they are in Christ,
to kind of like stimulate them
to actively serve the Lord so they can be the husbands, the fathers, the men of God in their
communities that he created them to be. And that's still the mission. At that roughly around that same
time, Acts 2618, same purpose that the Lord gave Paul to open their eyes that they might turn
from darkness to light, from the domain of Satan to God, so that they could receive forgiveness
forgiveness and the inheritance of those sanctified by faith in Christ.
That is the scriptural mission.
The Lord's given me.
That's what I'm accomplishing by His Holy Spirit.
We're going to put it in the show notes.
So if people are so inclined and not people, I guess, men are so inclined that they can.
But when does it happen?
I want to make sure that I get this clear out the gate because I feel like every time I get somebody
on with something coming on.
It's like an afterthought.
I get to the end and I'm like, I don't even know if we said when it was coming.
This is June, yes?
June 7th, 8th, and 9th.
We're going to do manned camp again at Moose Lake Pentecostal camp.
It's west of Bonneville about 20 minutes, the far west end of Moose Lake.
And men will arrive at around noon, start registering and getting into their dorms and their campsites.
We've got so many campsites this year and tenting areas that this could look like a
Christian Woodstock if things go as I think they will.
We've rented the camp beside this camp.
It's a Ukrainian Orthodox camp.
I don't care what camp it is.
It's about 120 more dorms and I think 20, 30 more RV sites, you know, fire pits,
washroom facilities, stuff we need to pull us off.
And we're going to jack it up and fill both camps this year.
Yeah.
We ruled out man camp at a, and at an, at an, at an,
impact this promise keepers event in Emington the other day.
And we handed out a thousand brochures.
We took a truckload of axes and knives and a couple big targets and a huge banner that
this guy sponsored us.
I think it was about four or five hundred dollars, this big fancy banner.
We had another guy phone and he says, you got to make these promise keepers guys aware
of what God's doing with this man camp.
It's the biggest, most intense Christian men's activity in Western Canada.
and nobody knows about it.
So we went up there.
I preached for about eight hours
like it was nothing.
It was the Lord giving me the strength to do this.
A lot of times preaching to professional religious men.
I explained them what God had literally given me a passion for
that the fire of God in me was driving me
to not only wake up the unbelievers,
but to wake up professional religious men
to what God's doing in the world
and how they needed to literally
get on board with
light and a fire in the body of Christ
in these last days.
And so there could be a thousand guys show up at man camp,
but I hope so.
It's wild maybe is the word that comes to mind on this side.
You know, like I think if you haven't gone
and listened the first time Josh was on the podcast last year,
about a year ago, you know, like the way the world worked and brought us together.
And to just listen to you talk about Man Camp last year, you know, and me a little bit
heartbroken at the time.
It was when I had Alex Craneer and Tom Luongo coming to Canada.
That was the exact same weekend.
So sitting in studio that weekend, I had men coming from Manitoba was, you know, like I think
of Peter Moran and his group of...
Oh, those guys showed up.
They were intense.
Oh, yeah, they came all the way from Manitoba, right?
But you had people come from all over, and the studio was buzzing that weekend with people coming.
I mean, Tom and Alex came from, you know, out of country as well for that show.
But it was just like this area that weekend had people coming from all over the place.
And once again, I just, you know, to see where Man Camp has come when you were initially talking about it.
Because that was the second year.
And the first year, you were like, yeah, we had guys show up.
you know, we were going to do some acts throwing, and we got some, you know, great things to where
it's been built to, you know, and forgive me, Joshua, I hope I'm remembering this correctly.
At the time, you're like, you know, if God doesn't want me to keep doing this, I'm just going to let
it go.
Obviously, he's put it pretty heavy on the heart then that not only to keep doing it, but to grow
it and bring in people from all over the place, because you've got people coming from all over
for this.
Yeah, the Lord has boosted this thing.
I'm talking to guys down in San Antonio, Texas that may arrive at this man camp.
There's a guy in Ontario near Toronto, this Jay Torley.
He says what God's put on your heart is what the Holy Spirit is literally pouring out on any man that's got ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying.
And we're coming all the way from Toronto with a small team to be a part of this man camp so we can acquire what the Lord's about to do in this man camp.
And I'm a little bit overwhelmed.
Some of these guys, incredibly educated, intelligent, professional men of God.
A lot of them have been serving the Lord for 25, 30 years,
and the Holy Spirit just lighting a fresh fire in them to be a part of what the Lord's doing in these last days.
For instance, this Jay Torley, an intense man of God.
Every time he phones, he prays over me and teaches me a thing or two.
He's been at this for a long time.
He finished a $290 million pharmaceutical missionary trip to Africa.
He started churches.
He's got a master's in this and a bachelor's in that.
And he says, I don't care if you got a grade four education.
The fire of God is in you and it's contagious.
It's literally like a wildfire catching everything around you on fire.
And I'm so honored.
privileged to have that, I guess, that purpose.
Well, I was telling you I was reading John Eldridge, Wild at Heart.
And if you haven't picked up that book, to all the men listening, if you haven't picked
up that book, you should.
It blends, how am I going to say this?
I used to think Christianity, believing in God, believing in Jesus, was, I don't know,
fairy dust, you know?
And more than that.
to think it was a total scam.
And boring, and I can list off a bunch of words.
I just wasn't interested.
And I've said this many times, you know.
When I prayed, I just said, you know, to the listener, you know, I'm like, kind of like,
when I close, I'm kind of like at the ceiling kind of going like, don't smite me for saying
this, but can we just make it a little bit of adventure?
Because I don't want to have a boring life.
Careful what you ask for.
Careful what you ask for.
And honestly, it's brought men like yourself in.
of the studio that I'm like, you know, I maybe shouldn't have said those words because one of the
things that I, it's not that the, the church or religious leaders don't say this. It's, it's,
you know, do people have the eyes to see and the ears to hear? I don't know. That's it.
Because once you see it, you realize actually, it's, it's quite the adventurous life,
try and hold on for dear life when something grabs a hold of you. And I guess I just bring it back
to Mancamp, but see what you're doing there. You want the adventure of a life.
pick up the Bible and start implementing it into your life and you'll see what happens.
Well, it's funny you say that and I can feel the Holy Spirit leading me in that direction already.
And the more I do man camp, the more men I'm exposed to.
And the more I allow myself to be used by God in their lives,
the more I can trend their individual situations and their own individual, individual experiences.
And so many of these guys, so many of these guys,
were introduced to Christ and only I guess given part truth many of these guys went
through a you know a one-minute prayer of introduction to Jesus and then they
were told that that was all there was you know you're now born again you're now
spirit-filled and this is gonna enable you to walk in the fullness of God this is
gonna give you access to all the promises of God
and that God's presence is going to fill your life and you're going to be this
victorious, powerful Christian now transformed by this magic little prayer that we just prayed.
And that prayer, godly, that introduction to Christ essential.
But what goes on from that is more than a prayer.
Simply confessing a prayer that some person has memorized and led you in is your
introduction to Christ, you've got to look to him. You've got to accept him. You've got to reach out to
him. But when you do, you've got to believe that he is who the Word of God says he is. He's not this
fantasy of a Bible character. He is everything the Word of God says he is at this very moment.
And believing in him requires you putting your faith in him.
Literally ditching your faith in the world, faith in yourself,
your own self-righteousness couldn't save you from anything.
But your faith in Christ, confessing Him as Lord, like it says in Romans 10,
verse 9 and 10, it says, and I was smart enough to bring my Bible today,
so I don't have to misquote a bunch of stuff.
But I'm going to go to Romans 10, verse 9.
for the listener if you could see.
I thought my mom colored in a Bible.
It looks like a five-year-old was crayons.
But it's,
when God shows me something in the Word of God,
a lot of times I'll date it,
I'll highlight it,
I'll write down a little couple of words
that will trigger what the Lord showed me in the Word.
This is my playbook for life.
Like when he says in Proverbs,
three verse six,
acknowledge him in all your ways.
Before you start your day,
you look to the Lord and you say,
Lord, give me wisdom, direct me, guide me, enable me, continue to mold me. You know, what you need,
you ask him for, the direction you need, you look to him for, and then you invite as much of
His Holy Spirit into your life as possible. And this is how you start, this is how you start your day.
This is how you set up to win. But believing in Him requires faith. It really requires
faith. You're saved by grace through faith in Christ.
Romans 9, verse 9, sorry, Romans 10, verse 9, it says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus
as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart, a person believes resulting in righteousness, and with his mouth he confesses
resulting in salvation.
If you confess Jesus as Lord back in the time that this scripture was written, you were literally
ditching your idolatry, you were ditching your old.
Judaism, you were literally signing up to follow Christ. When you confessed him as Lord, you were
turning from the religious structures of the day to embrace this Messiah, this Jesus. And when
you wholeheartedly believe on Christ and put your faith in Him, he's made available to you
this spirit, his spirit. There's four or five scriptures that directly speak about the Holy
Spirit being the Spirit of Jesus.
When you begin to let this
spirit lead you,
this is the game changer.
See, people that
pray a prayer and claim to believe in Christ,
but they have,
I guess, no desire
to let His Spirit lead them
in any way, this is going to be pretty hard.
People that claim
to know Jesus Christ,
to follow Christ,
but have no use for
His Word, this is going to be
pretty hard because Romans
8.11 says that the same spirit that
raised Christ from the dead, this
is the spirit that quickens their
mortal flesh and enables them to
actually accomplish God's will for their life.
You can't do it religiously.
You can't do it intellectually.
What's the scripture they're talking about
the rich? It'll be hard for the rich
to fall. Well, there's quite a few.
Actually,
if we go to Luke 6...
Because I've been thinking about this. While he looks, I've been thinking
them about this a lot, right? If your life is going along smashingly, just got the promotion,
you're making big bucks, you're taking trips all over the world, you know, you might
overlook the importance of God. And I think the longer I go, the more, you know, it'll be harder
for, I'm butchering this, and this is where I need, you know, the Bible in front of me, I guess,
it'll be harder for the rich to get through, you know, thread the needle. It really is. It
really is. I think if they have this faith in Christ and they're surrendered to Christ before those
riches, like Jesus' disciples said, Lord, well, if it's so hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of
God, what hope is there for us? And he says, with men, this is impossible. But with God, all things
are possible. If you first have Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, and he's first and foremost, above all
things, you can handle this wealth without this wealth having you. But the rich, more or
and not put their faith in their wealth.
The rich put their trust and hope in the things that they have,
the assets they have,
and those things become idols in their life.
They literally put higher priority,
and they put these things first and foremost in their life ahead of Christ.
And so it's pretty tough to make Jesus Lord of your life,
if you've already got four or five other things ahead of him.
But you can.
The thing about the reason why,
bugs me so much.
You know, it's like coming from, I feel like I got lots of things going right in my life,
you know?
And for me, I don't know why I had this vision of like, in order to go to church, you've got
to be boring.
And you can't swear.
And don't get me wrong, folks, I think a lot of people have noticed.
I don't swear a whole lot anymore.
But, you know, like you can't.
And for some reason, that was cool.
You can't drink and that's cool.
And you can't do all these things.
And you can't watch the hockey game.
You can't go do this and this.
And I'm sure there's Christians listening right now going,
the heck is this guy talking about?
You've been sold to bill of goods that, you know, isn't exactly functional, right?
Yeah.
And that's been part of my journey on this side is like, I can still be who I am.
And actually, it might be that that is needed more than anything.
He takes you the way you are, just the way you are.
He takes you as rebellious, as sinful, as lost as he finds you.
he just doesn't leave you that way.
He begins a process of what the Bible calls sanctification.
And like when you embrace Christ, when you believe in him and put your faith in him,
choose to make him Lord become devoted, committed to him, he provides you with this spirit.
It's funny you say that.
It's the spirit of God that does that sanctification in your life.
It's not some religious act.
You're trying to serve the Lord legalistically, religiously following a bunch of legal rules in the Bible
and just having this real structured, disciplined life
where you have this incredible willpower to live right,
you'll be no different than the self-righteous Pharisees in the end.
It's the Spirit of God that literally cleanses and sanctifies your life.
And it's the Word of God.
So if you've got no use for the Holy Spirit and you've got no use for the word,
you're going to be missing out on the only thing that can actually pull this off in your life.
I'll read you a scripture.
Titus 3 verse 5.
clearly states that it's the Spirit of God that sanctifies your life.
We have Titus 3 verse 5 right here.
I'm glad you brought that up.
He saved us not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, right, works.
You can't work this.
Faith without works is dead and works without faith is dead.
That's from James.
But according to his mercy by the,
washing and regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
It's amazing.
The Holy Spirit actually is what does that work in our lives.
And the Holy Spirit works hand in hand with the Word of God.
So if you don't have any use for the Word of God, you're not in the Word of God.
Right?
Like I said, the first podcast, I think, because it's one of my go-to scriptures.
I found Christ through the Word of God.
I didn't find him in a religious establishment.
Lord knows, my mother drugged me to enough churches that I,
could have if I was that intelligent, looked to the Lord years before.
But I found the Lord through the Word of God.
When I begin to read this word, it began to wash my mind by the water of the word,
cleansing and sanctifying my thinking, opening my spiritual eyes, opening my spiritual ears to hear the Holy Spirit.
Not like the demons that were running around in my head before, but this still small voice,
nudging, leading, prompting, literally enabling me to understand things.
I couldn't fathom.
I could never pull off, like some people,
I could never pull off this religious act of a walk with God
where they, you know, through incredible willpower and discipline,
managed to live a socially acceptable life.
I wasn't that person, right?
I was a wild animal before Christ.
I had no hope.
I owe everything that I am and my life itself to Jesus.
Had he not set me free, brother, we wouldn't be having this talk.
anyways it is the spirit of God that sanctifies your life and it's the word of God that sanctifies your life
sanctify are you looking for the definition sanctify is means to be made right to be made holy
to I guess be cleaned up it's not your own strength that you're designed to do this in it is the
spirit of God that enables you, right?
I think I might have even mentioned
Romans 8 when we did the second
man count in the Lord.
He put it on my heart that he wanted to send
hundreds of men off into the summer,
sporting a full armor of God.
To the listener, I'm sure
Josh is like, what is he looking at?
I'm looking for something because I found it very
I hope I'm not derailing the conversation, but
it's... Go ahead.
Well, I'd had on one of the things that bought,
so there's things that have bothered me in life
specifically with the Bible,
specifically with Christianity,
specifically with a lot of it.
And I go back to when I was younger.
Mum made us read the Bible all the time.
I got nothing from it.
I got like,
you know, actually had knowledge.
Beyond nothing from it, right?
Except that's a lie because, you know,
I think there's scripture
in there and basically as parents you need to raise them up in it because teach a child in the way
he should go and he'll not depart from it when he's older so she was she was so in seed right
even though when i say there's nothing there's nothing there i just like it was in one year run
of the other i was just like but you know it's it's funny so i struggle with that because you know
like got baptized as a young teenager i maybe maybe even 10 to 12 i can't remember uh i remember doing
And this has been my struggle.
This goes back to Tanner in a day.
My struggle with it is, is don't lie about it.
If it isn't happening for it, there's no point in lying about it because you're just
seating lies into your life now.
He's your heart.
He knows the truth.
So I go back, I got baptized.
I didn't feel anything.
I tried praying.
I didn't hear anything.
I was just like, I was very, very, very frustrated as a young kid.
And all I ever heard was Armageddon.
I mean, I remember one of my big fears as a kid was, it was never going to be.
kiss a girl, I was never going to get married.
I was that because the world's coming on that, right?
Probably only have a day to live.
That's right.
Y2K, everything, right?
That has been the world for so long.
And so I'm, you know, like, I had a lot of problems with a lot of different things.
Anyways, I was talking to Solomon Davies about, you know, why is it that certain people can, can hear, you know, God at a young age or experience it or on and on and on.
And then I got this text from a listener.
And I was like, I guess I was, I was moved by it.
in our conversation,
that's why I went back searching for it.
It said,
listening to today's podcast and thoughts,
what if this journey you've been on to God
was supposed to play out now
during this time on your podcast
because you were so relatable
and it will reach more people
than some Bible thumping,
raised right,
bullshity guilt tripper.
Apologies for the swear, folks.
I see it all working very well.
I think that's why you never heard or saw before
because the divine had a purpose for you.
How lovely to know that you are living your purpose.
Thank you for your authenticity.
I thought I was like, wow, that's, and I don't know why I couldn't get my brain past that point, right?
Like, I, why, why? And then, you know, to have that text come through, I'm like, you know, that's, that's pretty cool for somebody.
And I never did get this person's name. And maybe they did send it to me one point in time. So if that's you and you're listening to this, they'll thank you.
Because that really meant a lot, because I couldn't for some reason get across that hump.
Well, maybe you just need to play out right now. Maybe I wasn't ready back then.
Maybe the big guy can see everything, which you can, which bothers me on a different level.
But regardless, that's pretty cool that, you know, listeners sometimes can put together pieces for you that I couldn't get around out.
Like, why?
You know, I dried back as a kid.
Nothing happened.
I listened to Tanner today.
And to me, I'm like, why is it that he can have it so quick?
Well, because we're not all on the same trajectory, right?
He's using us all in different ways.
Not everybody's committed or devoted.
or yielding to him as Lord.
The sad reality, brother, that I'm discovering
the more and more people that I let God use me to reach
is many hundreds and hundreds of these guys
were introduced to Christ as children like you, right?
And the cool thing is, is he never leaves you or forsakes you.
You've been given your own free will.
You tried to walk away and run away from him for years.
Well, I did.
He was right there.
I know.
You never found God.
All you did is like James 4.8.
you drew near to God and he was right there and he drew near to you.
That's what probably bugs me a lot too.
So you were there the entire time.
He was there.
You drug them through all the trash, every sinful, disgusting, demonic thing you ever did.
Don't let it knock you out.
The reality of that is heavy.
Think on that later.
But James 4-7 is also true.
These Christians that never surrender to Christ, right?
James 4-7 says, submit to God.
Resist the devil, he'll flee from you.
You don't submit to God?
You can resist the devil all you want.
to flee from you. He's going to knock you out spiritually. You're going to hit the ditch in your
walk with God. These guys that never submit to God. They never yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead is right there. As soon as they surrender to Christ,
he's made this Holy Spirit, his spirit available to them. And this spirit, the same spirit to
raise Christ from the dead, is able to quicken their mortal flesh to accomplish God's will for
their life, something they could never, and we're never designed to do in their own strength.
Romans 8 says, right here, because the mindset on the flesh is hostile towards God, for it does
not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so.
And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
They can't.
It says in Romans 8, verse 9, however, you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if indeed
the spirit of God dwells in you.
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,
he does not belong to God.
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin,
yet the Spirit is alive because of righteousness,
but if the Spirit of Him, capital H,
who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead,
the Holy Spirit, will also give life to your mortal flesh.
another translation says, quicken your mortal flesh, literally enable you, empower you,
and equip you to do more than you could ever accomplish in your own strength and in your
own human intellect.
He says, he will give life to your mortal bodies through his spirit who dwells in you.
Right?
And then like man camp number two, he wanted to see every man leave that camp,
sporting a full armor of God, standing strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might,
putting on the full armor of God so that they can stand against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood.
It's not against these puppet politicians in this demonized, woke government,
not against flesh and blood, but against the dark things behind them,
the dark things fill in their head, the dark things pulling their strings,
the dark thing's trying to tear this country apart.
That's where I've got to.
Yeah.
I got to ask the other day where I,
I'm like, I don't know, I don't know.
Like, what's the problem with the world?
I'm like, well, probably that we don't acknowledge that there's bigger things to play.
Oh, man.
I don't, you know.
We don't hate these people.
We're not attacking these people.
Do we all need to, to, um,
profess immediately that Jesus and God and everything,
I don't, I think we'd be.
you want to embrace this great Holy Spirit that's able to, you literally make it possible for you to
accomplish God's will for your life. I've, unfortunately, I've met a lot of professional religious
men, many of them doing their best to convince me that these supernatural things that the Holy Spirit
does in a person's life are nothing more than a sham. I always tell them, you know, if this is the
case, and if this Holy Spirit that's literally been given to me is of the devil and it's a sham,
then tell me why it's given me this passion to reach the loss for Christ. Tell me why it's set me
free from all these addictions. Tell me why this Holy Spirit has enabled me to overcome things
I could never even begin to scratch the surface on before surrendering my life to Christ.
if this Holy Spirit is the devil
preacher guy, religious guy,
then the devil works for Christ
because he's done nothing
but pour out. Love, joy, peace, patience,
gentleness, freedom. Second Corinthians
13, sorry, 2nd Corinthians 3
and there's stuff flying every place here. This Bible's full of good stuff.
It says, but whenever a person turns,
this is 2nd Corinthians 3, verse 16.
but whenever a person turns to the Lord turns to the Lord this is a repenting repent doesn't mean
confess your sins when you acknowledge you have sins so you look to Jesus the only way to get
cleansed of those sins right he justifies you he reconciles you to God his blood what he did on the
cross but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is taken away what some kind of veil that
blinds their spiritual eyes that's exactly what I've come to know is true now the Lord
is the spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty you see somebody walking around
and all kinds of bondage terrible addiction you know mentally just tortured that doesn't exactly scream
freedom that was me before the Holy Spirit now man he's transformed every area of my life including
that but he says now the Lord is spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty or
freedom. But we all with unveiled face, behold is in a mirror the glory of the Lord, and are being
transformed in the same image, into the same image, from glory to glory, just as the Lord, the
spirit. We go down into chapter four, verse three, it says, and even if our gospel is veiled,
it's veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the God of this world, the enemy,
Satan, the devil, has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so they might not see the light of the gospel
of the glory of Christ who is the image of God.
You and me before Christ?
My mom can make you read the Bible all day long, it was like reading Greek.
It was painful, right?
Me too.
I had no use for God.
I couldn't see my need for God.
I thought it was a total scam, a fantasy, some religious culty thing.
that these people had been brainwashed into believing, right?
Tried everything to be Lord of my own life.
This flesh, this high-performance flesh that God gave me was killing me.
Things I'd done had exposed me to dark things that were leading me and riding me around like a rented street bike.
Finally, out of desperation, I looked to the Lord Jesus.
After three weeks in the Word of God, still strung out, still drunk out of my mind, still violent, living in
total sin, like you said, he takes you the way you are, filthy, disgusting, demonic, and sinful.
And as you yield to him, as you let this Word of God build your faith, right?
Romans 10, 17, faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God.
Ephesians 5, 25, and 26.
Just like Christ did the Church, the Word of God cleanses and sanctifies your mind by the
washing of the water of the Word.
Letting this Word of God cleanse and sanctify my thinking.
letting this word of God cleanse and sanctify my desires, you know, how I saw things,
and then surrendering to that still small voice, that Holy Spirit of God.
Man, this is what did all the work.
I just hung on for the ride.
It's not that I sat in church.
I never said hell Mary's.
I never memorized scripture.
I simply surrendered to the Lord Jesus and said,
if you show up and enable me to get out of this hell on earth to walk away from these
addictions, these personality traits, this, this vile demonic life, if you show up and do this,
I'll recognize you and I will follow you. I'll confess you as Lord. I'll make you Lord of
my life and I'll follow you. And in those next, you know, five, six months year, he showed up in
force, man. He set me free. Saved my life. Transformed how I thought. Give me revelation and
understanding of what a real walk was God looked like. All my life, the enemy had been highlighting
these failure religious men, had been spotlighting Christians that had totally let me down.
I had believed his lies that it was all a show. They were all hypocrites. They were all weakling.
He told me that all Christian men were wimps and geeks. Truth is, I've never known stronger,
a more faithful, loyal, you know, men in my life,
then they sold out for Jesus, led by the Spirit of God,
men that he's, you know, brought into my life.
But I bought those lies, hookland, and sinker for years and years.
Until the Word of God began to transform my thinking,
open my spiritual eyes,
and I started to follow that still small voice
that was nudging and leading me,
I'm always nudging and leading me according to this word.
Like, I know God can use people, but I've come to know people can be hit and miss.
This word is 100%.
The Spirit of God works hand in hand, cooperating with this word to literally lead you, guide, you, direct you.
And if there's a still small voice or any voice leading you crosswise of this word, run for your life.
That's not the Holy Spirit.
but this word of God
literally holds the
keys to everything
that you're facing,
every decision you make,
every question you have,
somehow the Holy Spirit of God uses this
to literally direct your path.
And that's like food for your spirit.
That's intense.
There's a lot there.
I kind of want to
off from the deep end there for a bit.
No, I was, I, it's funny, like, I, I just think back to, um, I started to notice things.
All right.
Now, I've talked about Ottawa briefly here and there, and certainly me and you've had our chats.
You know, after the first time Josh and I, uh, sat down and did this, it was only a week or two
later.
We went, uh, riding horses.
And then we've since been out shooting birds, although we didn't shoot a whole heck of a lot.
Shot a couple of cans is pretty much all.
it ended up being. But we've, we've had quite extensive conversations away from being recorded,
right? It's taken a while to, you know, people have been asking for you to come back on.
And I did some intense things there, right? Yeah. One day I wake up with Sean Newman on my heart.
Text Sean Newman, hey, just consider the fact that the devil and his minion demons
masquerade as angels of light, pretending to be these godly, righteous things.
that want to, you know, be a part of your life.
Next day or the next podcast I listen to,
you're interviewing some kind of a shaman type character
that's all about, I guess, self-worship and inner power
and some kind of demonic witchcraft.
The Lord's been keeping you and I together over this last year.
Intermittently and doing some miraculous little things,
he's built a relationship between you and I
that we couldn't, we didn't pick, we didn't come up with this.
I would agree with you.
It's, well, I go back to it.
So, I don't know why this time, you know, like I go back to the text.
I read, right?
You know, because I sit and I try and explain where I'm at with some people.
I'm like, they probably just think I'm, you know, the people that are further down,
you know, I try and explain this.
The people who are awake, okay, if you take Christianity, you just take it awake to what the world's been doing.
There's people that are further along than others, right?
So, you know, first you're like, oh, man, maybe media is corrupted, right?
Maybe.
And then you sit there and you try and come to terms of that.
And then, you know, and then you start to open up the door and they talk about like the floodgates and the floodgates just bowl you over.
Right?
And then you realize people have been awake to this for two years, five years, ten years, 20 years, 30 years, and it goes on and on and on.
And you think, holy man.
And to me, that feels like running headlong.
into where I'm at now and trying to like even explain to nobody who knows.
I've only been in doing this now for like a year maybe a bit more.
I mean, obviously.
But he's catching you up at like a supernatural rate.
You're growing faster.
Being a part of a lot of new believers' lives, you because you're pressing into the word
and you're going to God every day.
Well, but I, I, I, he's transformed your understanding of the reality of faith in Christ.
a little faster than average, brother.
I tacked that on to Ottawa, right?
Because like...
That's what kick started in.
Oh, well.
You went from eyes wide shut to eyes wide open
when you encountered what was going on there
and the demonic presence in Ottawa.
And Jesus.
And Jesus.
Right?
I mean, like, so, you know,
what we're being coy about here,
and I think I've talked about this a bit,
it's like, I have a day where I...
I hate to...
I hesitate because I'm like,
I don't actually know if it was Jesus.
but that's what I thought it was.
And every street corner I went around as I walked around and meandered,
there he was again.
I'm like,
that's weird.
But he was actual people,
right?
Like,
I don't mean to say there was a guy who disappeared.
He was like just playing out in society.
It was wild.
I remember thinking it was wild.
I'm like,
am I serious?
When he rose from the dead,
and he met with many of his followers right after,
um,
literally raising from the dead,
um,
conquered death hell in the grave.
Then he met with his disciples walking on the road alongside.
them.
Sure.
Many of them didn't recognize him as the rabbi that taught them and flip flops along the shore
Galilee.
And then after you see that, and I, I've probably talked myself around that idea for a while.
Why would I see him there?
And if I'm logical, I go, well, the days leading up to it, I was being prayed for
more.
There was more prayer going because people get, there was some weird stuff going on.
Just like, you're like, what is happening?
I don't know what's happening.
And so I can understand why that might have been a thought
if I completely lost my mind, if you would.
But it was followed by the other guy,
and I think of the best book that has ever summarized it in my mind
because it's so bizarre that it's in there,
and I hated the book, was this side of paradise by Scott Fitzgerald.
It's not a great book, but there's just this chapter
where he's walking home from the bar, I think,
and like a leprechaunish figure just kind of follows him.
And as soon as I read it, like my hair,
went up on end. I'm like that. There's another person who's experienced and they don't know how
to explain it. So they put it in a book because eventually you're going to experience the devil and
you're either going to write it off as something like, oh, that wasn't real or, you know, and so
I have this day where, you know, not great things happen. I don't think I was a great human
being. I didn't do anything stupid. I just probably wasn't a great human being. And I come all the way
home to try and wrestle with that.
What the heck was that?
Find truth.
And so I just, you know, I just push it off.
So when you talk about like getting it at a record rate, I don't know.
I think I'm, maybe I am.
I just, I think that I'm willing to be like, there is more here that I have zero clue on.
Oh, yeah.
And there are answers somewhere because there's something that's been written.
And maybe there's some truth in there.
And I've been overlooking it for some time
and probably been overlooking it for some time
because I didn't realize it was going on all around me.
And then once you start to realize it's going on around you,
then the reason why probably, in my mind,
the cowboy preacher walks into my life
is because at that point in time,
along with Tanner Nadey, along with he just called Cam Milliken,
who is calling right now,
and we'll get to that part of this conversation here,
hopefully before the end,
is because this is the weird part.
to me, although not that weird, but it may sound weird, is there's going to be things put on,
and I'm sure Joshua can talk about it, on his heart, that he's like, I got to reach out to
this person today.
I don't fully understand that.
But that's how he comes in, because at that point in time, now you recognize it.
Okay, there's things going on that I do not like.
I need to explain this, because I know every time I left Lloyd, told the smell, every time I
leave this place. I'm attacked spiritually. I don't fully understand it. I know that makes me sound
crazy. But every time I leave here, it just happens over and over and over and over again. And I don't
mean like I get wrapped up in a blanket and hauled off and water boarded or anything like that. It's just
weird things happen. And over and over and over. And that led me to challenging, which I do not
say lightly, but I was like, if you're real, it's time for you to show up because I need protection.
That's what I needed out of God, Jesus at the beginning.
I needed to be, this needs to stop.
Well, just like me in the beginning, when I first finally look to the Lord Jesus and put faith in him,
not just believing that he one time years ago walked the earth,
but put faith in him, said Lord Jesus, I'm looking to you, show up in my life,
in force, set me free, and I'll serve you.
He did.
you this last year have been putting in the time you've been going to the Lord in prayer you've been
acknowledged him in all your ways he's directing your path you've been you've been I've fallen off though
because we have seasons where we get foolish yeah man when I first come to the Lord I was on fire
he set me free delivered me he was transforming my life every day and I got cocky and arrogant and
proud and I quit looking to him and I thought I could do it in my own strength and I
crashed and burnt, man, like a shooting star. I hit the dirt.
Realized I couldn't do it my own.
Went back to what I did in the beginning. I went back to the word.
Got on my knees, said, Lord Jesus, forgive me, and he's gracious and faithful.
He jerked me back up. He enabled me to overcome again.
Take off like a rocket ship, serving the Lord.
In these times where I was submitted to God, resisting the devil, I had incredible victory.
if I get proud
start putting my faith in the things of this world
and in my own ability
for five seconds
he says
the Lord is against the proud
but he gives grace to the humble
in 1 Peter 5
it says submit
right
humble yourself
it's January 10th this year
you know like I want to make sure
people realize
you know some days
if you've ever been on the farm
I know Josh can get this idea.
Dad and my oldest brother run steers.
You got that one steer who you want to,
like you're leading them to like good pastors.
Just go through that gate, man.
Like there's fresh feed right there.
It's all just sitting there for you.
Nope, he's going to run through the fence.
Or he's going to turn around him.
And I'm like, so this is a lovely story.
And then it's January.
Okay.
And Sean hasn't been praying.
John hasn't read the Bible in a while.
I don't know where Sean is.
and I hate talking about myself and third person.
I know that irritates few, but regardless.
It's January, and it's right around the time for people in Lloyd,
who we did the, for the kids' sake,
we brought in Ken Drysdale from Manitoba.
We had David Parker come, and then Ken Rutherford also talked that night.
And I was, I was, I was, I was, I was wore out.
I was, I was, I was in, in my mind in bad shape.
And I don't mean bad shape, like I was sitting at the bar until four in the morning.
I just mean like I was, I had nothing.
and I didn't know what the heck I was doing.
I was frustrated.
I was a lot of different things.
And then, you know, a cold, this is like minus 50 weather.
I get this text.
Praise the Lord.
Yeah, I will pray.
Starting tonight at four to tomorrow morning, touch base when it's over.
Because I was talking about this event.
I was terrified of bringing these people in and nobody was going to come.
Is that a text from me?
Yeah.
And blessings of wisdom and strength on you that every part you play,
2 Timothy 1 through 7
1 verse 7 God hasn't given you
A spirit of fear but power loves and sound mind
So the next morning I am driving
To my men's group
And I haven't been praying
But I got prayed over the night before
By Ken Drysdale's wife
It was you know
Two years ago
You know my cameras hate me
They're turning off I apologize to Jack
So you thought we're getting video
We're getting partial video
Well I didn't wax my mustache anyway
So that morning, I'd gotten prayed over the night before,
and like I say, two years ago, six months before that,
I would have felt really awkward.
I felt like it was a godsend.
Like, I needed it.
Well, I don't think of you all the time, just so you know.
And if I'm thinking about you and it's something to do with encouraging you
or kind of directing you towards Christ or to stand strong in the Lord,
this is not the devil.
And it's not my flesh because I would rather be doing something fun or,
I know it's the Holy Spirit.
So when he puts you on my heart,
I don't spend every day thinking about Sean.
Well, this is the timing of it, though, right?
You send that?
It's all his time.
You send that that night, right?
We have a great event.
The next morning I wake up for our Thursday morning men's group.
I'm driving.
And I'm still wrestling with it.
Like, I mean, I am wrestling.
And I appreciate Tanner in a day saying,
that's what it's supposed to be.
You're supposed to wrestle.
And I'm like, oh, get your mindset shift.
So I open up my text.
And between yourself, and I want to say, Ken, you both sent me something along the spirit of fear, right?
Go back to it.
God hasn't given you a spirit of fear but power and love and sound mind.
And so I'm driving by this homeless guy.
It's minus at that morning.
It was minus 38, I think.
No, minus 28 and it felt like it was minus 40.
Kulmer called.
He was in rough shape.
And I drove by him.
And I've told this story a few times.
And I don't know if I've told it on the podcast.
I assume I have.
But I drive by him.
I'm not stopping.
I'm literally talking to myself.
I'm not stopping.
Nope, not stopping.
And I can, you know,
Shawnee's going to die.
No, no, I'm not stopping.
Sean, he's going to die.
And, you know, my...
That could have been his last day on this planet had you not fall to leading.
And so I turn around.
And that encounter, I wish I could say the words that he told me,
this homeless man, was more for me than anything.
It got me reading the Bible again.
I was like, oh, you're bad.
Oh, isn't that interesting?
And it was the spirit of fear,
because I thought he was going to slip my throat or whatever.
You had these...
Those creepy homeless guy trudging down.
One of the things that blows me away is the timeliness of messages.
And certainly, I point yours out, but there's other people who do it.
You know, like, man, that's interesting, right?
Like, that's interesting.
That's a hard thing to wrap one's person's brain around.
And I don't mean to say you have to understand it,
Just that once you're into it, you're like, oh, what is, what is going on?
One timely word from God will rock you to your core.
Like a hundred hours of religious preaching couldn't do.
I walked into a parking lot in Cool Lake the other day, brother.
And a vehicle pulled up beside mine, I jumped out.
The driver's window come down.
God's timing is everything.
And when he gives you a timely word for somebody,
It knocks him silly.
The guy's window come down.
I said, oh, I thought you were somebody else.
He's like, what up?
Staring at me is a man that would have terrified the average human being.
We're talking tear butt, drop tattoos, skulls and tattoos and neck tats and gangster-type bling.
And a face that was demonic-looking but handsome all at once.
And before I could stop myself,
I'd been sitting there praying in the Holy Spirit.
Tevre, Veded, De Jesus, give me direction.
Help me plan this man camp.
Lord, give me wisdom and everything I'm doing, that you'd be glorified.
All of a sudden this guy pulls in.
I jump out of my truck.
He rolls his window down.
He says, what up?
And I said, well, I'm the cowboy preacher.
I'm proof.
The Lord can turn the worst of lives around and fill you with joy and peace and wholeness
like none of the things of this world ever could.
None of the women, the drugs, the money, the excitement could ever fill that void in you like Jesus Christ wants to.
And this guy's like, what are you talking about?
That's what I'm talking about God.
The Lord Jesus Christ can fill that emptiness inside you like you've never been able to fill with anything in this world.
And this guy looks like he could pull a gun, shoot me in the face.
He got a huge scar across his face from a knife.
and he opens his mouth and says,
I need God.
Man, I need God.
I got kids.
I got problems.
I need God.
I don't know how to find God.
I said, the only thing that can bridge the gap between you and God
is Jesus Christ.
There's no other way.
He's the way, the truth, and the life.
There's no other way to connect you with God.
I don't care what it is.
Jesus is the only way.
he's like what do I got to do I'm talking four and a half minutes and this guy is crying out to the
Lord Jesus Christ a guy that would have beaten you senseless possibly robbed you killed you
stabbed you but in God's perfect time he's rocked to the core and look into the Lord Jesus Christ
I introduce him to Christ I pray with him Lord Jesus Lord Jesus I pray that you would come and be the
biggest part of my life
I pray that you would forgive me of all the foul, demonic, heathen, sinful things I've ever done in my life and cleanse me by your blood, which is the only way to be justified and reconciled to God.
I now, according to your word, forgive any man, woman, or child that's ever sinned against me, and I'll walk away from unforgiveness entirely by faith.
In Jesus' name, show up in my life, enable me to walk away from.
from the addiction, from the sexual sin, from the trash and the demonic stuff I'd made a life out of,
give me the strength by your spirit, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead,
to leave this trash behind and follow you.
As I read your word, cleanse and sanctify my mind.
This is not a normal 35-second prayer that the average intellectual preacher is going to lead you in.
This is a life of surrender to Christ now.
This is a life committed and devoted to Jesus.
And when you commit and devote to Jesus as your Lord,
he provides you with this spirit that trumps any demonic thing in this planet.
This is not some Mickey Mouse spirit like these demons that plague people's thoughts and minds.
This is the spirit of God.
The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead.
The most powerful supreme thing in this union,
universe. Somebody, I run into some guy the other day. He's like, oh, you're the cowboy preacher. You
literally labeled me with that name. Now, there's hundreds of people refer to me as the cowboy
preacher. But I am a cowboy preacher. I'm sold out for Christ. To live as Christ and to die his
gain for me, buddy. He comes up to me. He's like, hey, you're the cowboy preacher. I heard
your podcast with Sean. You and me are like the same. I'm like, oh, he's like, well, yeah,
we're both Christians.
I say, go on.
Where do you go to church?
He said, well, I don't go to church.
I'll believe that's some kind of a scam.
Oh, I said, you've got no use for the body of Christ.
You can't be the lone ranger Christian.
The body's made up of memory members just because many of them are, you know,
self-deceived and diluted and, you know, aren't completely surrendered to Christ.
Doesn't mean he can just do away with them.
Oh, well, I think it's a scam.
I think it's a religious scam to get my money.
I said, I believe those lies from hell myself.
Don't listen to it for a second.
I say, what God's showing you in the Word?
Oh, man, I think the Bible's a scam too, he said.
I think men came up with that to try and have some kind of religious hold on people.
I said, hold on, brother.
You've been sadly duped by the enemy.
You can't hate the body of Christ,
and you can't hate the Word of God
and be like me.
I said,
the Holy Spirit uses this word
nine out of ten times to literally
confirm things in your life
and show you who God is,
what he sounds like, looks like,
expects you to do
how to honor God and how to live for him.
This word of God's like a mirror you look in
and it shows you all the errors of your life
that aren't surrendered to him.
This word of God shows you what the devil sounds like,
what his lies sound like,
what all the deceptions he uses
to manipulate and deceive.
see people look like, how are you going to properly serve the Lord Jesus Christ and let the
Holy Spirit lead you if you got no faith in His Word? He's like, well, I know the Holy Spirit
leads me. I said, how do you know? He says, oh, because he's, he's loud and he just gives me
clear direction in my head. I said, the Holy Spirit is the only Spirit that is gentle, nudges you,
leads you doesn't drive you and dominate you like some demonic thing trust me i i was driven
and oppressed by these demons for years bro the holy spirit's the only one that requires your own free
will to follow his leading these other things gain access to your life and they run you around
like a rented car the holy spirit of your own free will your own desire to let him lead you and
guide you is the only way to accomplish God's will for your life. He's not some screaming,
dominating, demonic thing. I said, so you got no use for the word of God. You got no use for
the leading of the Holy Spirit. You got no use for the body of Christ to say, you and I have
nothing in common, brother. And I wonder if you've even met the Lord Jesus Christ. Because the Lord
Jesus Christ that I know sets people free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty or freedom,
whom the sun sets free is free indeed.
You're chronically hooked on dope.
Your life is in shambles.
Your marriage is destroyed.
Your kids are being decimated by the enemy every day of their lives.
You and I have nothing in common.
I'm surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ.
His word is the standard for my life.
And his great and supreme Holy Spirit is what enables me and empowers me to be who I am
Christ. See, before Christ, I was a demonized, deadbeat, psychopathic, alcoholic, drug addict,
wild man. And he took me that way. But he never left me that way. Day by day, like it said here,
glory to glory, right? Transforming us into the same image of his son. Day by day. He adjusts things
in your thinking and things in your life. And things in your life.
enables you and equips you to do things that are going to cause you to become more Christ-like.
If these things that are leading you around and filling your head with thoughts are not making you
more Christ-like or enabling you to draw nearer to the Lord or accomplish godly Christ-like things
in your life, that's not the Spirit of God.
And how are you going to know what the Spirit of God looks like and sounds like if you got no use for his word?
People that claim to have met Jesus, my Jesus, and claim to be filled with His Spirit, but don't exhibit any of the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, or sure signs of having a heart broken for a lost world going to hell without Christ, got no use for the body of Christ, no respect for the Word of God, no desire to let God use them, think God.
The Lord Jesus is designed to serve them instead of them serving him.
They don't know my Jesus.
And they definitely are not having the Holy Spirit of God.
My Holy Spirit of God that literally quickens my mortal flesh,
this is a different spirit they're being led by.
Because this spirit that they're being led by looks more like Mickey Mouse.
This is not the Holy Spirit I know.
There's no demon in hell can stand up to the Holy Spirit of God.
When I lay hands on a totally deranged psychopathic Indian gang member and some demon manifest
that sounds like a dog and causes his body to be contorted, it's not because I've got a deadly
mustache or that I'm this big hulk and redneck preacher.
It's because the Holy Spirit of God, it quickens my mortal flesh.
The authority I walk in is not because of these muscles or the fact that I can punishes.
a hole in the wall. That's because I walk in the authority of Christ as part of his body. That's why
these demons tremble and quake. When Jesus walked this earth, I say, oh, well, I believe in God.
I don't care if you believe in God. Do you believe in Jesus? The only thing that can bridge the gap
between you and God? When Jesus walked this earth, every demoniac, every demon-possessed,
demonized human being that he encountered was impacted by him. These things saw him coming from a
half mile away and said,
Son of the most high God, have you come to torment us before the time?
Trust me, in James, let me read it for you because I don't want to misquote it.
Believing in God, yeah, that's a start.
Believing on his son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, the Lord of Heaven and Earth,
this is the ticket to winning and not losing.
It says, so you believe in God, you do well.
He says here, but someone may say, you have faith and I have work.
show me your faith without the works and I will show you my faith by my works.
I earlier quoted this.
Faith without works is dead, but all the self-righteous works without faith are dead.
Pointless, useless, no kingdom reward.
He goes on to say, you believe that God is once?
You believe in God?
You do well.
The demons also believe in shudder.
But are you willing to recognize you foolish fellow?
James was a guy after my own heart.
I love this guy.
But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?
Just saying, believing in God is not enough.
I hear that sometimes 10, 15 times a week.
At this point, I literally introduced dozens of people a week sometimes to the Lord Jesus Christ,
explaining now you've surrendered your life to Christ.
This is not a magic recipe.
This is not a hokey-pokey spell you just prayed.
this is an introduction
an introduction to the living God
now
when the Romans 10 verse 9
was written in the days of Josephus
Israel was
enslaved by Rome
you didn't just confess Jesus as Lord
and then go about your hokey
pokey lives
if you confess Jesus of Lord as Lord
a lot of times your property was taken from you
you were maliciously attacked
you were labeled
you know
you know
ungodly, heathen, you know, idiotic, and you were rejected by society.
Nowadays people pray a little 35 second prayer introduction to Jesus and say, oh, it's been done,
you know, pour out the blessings and all the favor of God and the fullness of God on my life.
God sees your heart.
If you're giving him nothing but the leftovers and scraps,
if you've made him one percent Lord of your life and put no fear,
faith in him. He knows that too. He's not a fool. This is the most intelligent being in the universe.
And he's a good father. Why is he going to pour out incredible power, incredible favor and
incredible blessing on somebody that he's hoping will develop into something? Why would he do that
for them putting no faith in him? Why would he do that for somebody if they've made him like
0.05% Lord of their life.
He's a good father.
He's not going to reward his children
for outright rebellion,
disobedience, mutiny,
and insubordination.
He's intelligent.
He's the most just and intelligent
being in the universe.
It's not a fool.
That's why until you submit to God,
you don't get to walk in that authority.
Until you submit to God
and resist the devil,
He doesn't flee from you.
Nine times out of ten,
you get introduced to Jesus Christ,
surrender no part of your life. You're going to get
sucker punched by the devil.
Because you just flew
the flag of Christ, and
there's a real and present
dangerous enemy out there
that's saying, oh, look at this.
Somebody flying the flag of Christ, but he's not
submitted to God. He got no use for the word of God.
He won't let the Spirit of God lead him.
Right? So the Spirit of God
is the Spirit of Jesus.
If Jesus is Lord of your life, but you won't let
the Spirit of God lead you in any way
and you won't let the Word of God,
Jesus is the Word.
John 1 says that Jesus, sorry,
it says, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
Nothing was created without the Word.
I think this is from the first podcast.
Verse 14 says, and the Word became flesh and dwelt
among us. This is Jesus.
This living Word?
Jesus.
This Holy Spirit.
Jesus. How can Jesus
be Lord of your life if you've got no use
and no respect for the word?
No use and no respect
for the leading of His Holy Spirit. Every time the Spirit
of God tries to lead you, enable you,
steer you in the right direction,
you say, oh no, I got this. Take a hike.
Talk about no respect.
He's not going to reward that with the fullness
because he's a good
loving father that's
infinitely intelligent and just.
He's not some joke religious thing,
some fantasy hokey pokey.
Jesus is my homie kind of guy.
We're talking about the living God,
the Lord of heaven and earth.
He's coming back as something
that's not probably going to look like what they think.
He's not going to come back as some Jewish,
long-haired hippie guy and flip-flops.
He's coming back as the risen Lord.
Lord to literally. All right, I'm getting too far off. Praise God. Let's get back on track, bro.
Tebrisbe de de get. Hmm. I was getting fired up. Trying to focus. So Man Camp, let me do
something about Man Camp. This year, I spent a couple five, six, ten weeks, months, whatever,
months praying into Man Camp. Lord, what would you have me do at Man Camp? It's got to be all you.
preacher's ideas suck this has to be you Lord so that this thing impacts men this
thing sharpens and equips men because the Lord has clearly shown me in the word and
he's put it on my heart heavy he's got to do this so that I have this passion this
drive he says come to me in Mark sorry Matthew 11 he says come to me all you who are
weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you for my
burden, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. So you yoke yourself with Christ. This is more
than our flimsy little modern term for believing. When you yoke yourself to Christ, the burden
becomes light. Literally, he enables you to do things, like I said, by his spirit, that you couldn't
in your own strength, that would burn you out, leave you spent by the spirit of God, you can do
those things times 10. Okay. So I'm crying out to God, what do we do, Lord? What would you have
adjusted? What new things? What do you want to have happen at man camp so that these men leave
changed and empowered and equipped to be the men you created them to be? Not just a bunch of 60
minute a week Christians, but powerful men of God, equipped by the spirit of God, to literally
wreak havoc on the devil and every dark demonic thing in their lives, tearing down thousands
a year's worth of the enemy's work in all their communities and all their families.
Turns out the stage is set pretty good. All he's given me is that we need to declutter some things,
some lessons learned. We did a brief and debrief from last year's man camp. The Saturday activity,
we didn't expect 300 men to show up, right? So 300 men show up. They throw 120 axes,
you know, a thousand times. They throw the 80 throwing knives a thousand times. They throw the 80 throwing knives
a thousand times. Targets are just chopped to toothpicks. We had no major injuries whatsoever. This is
a miracle in itself. We got two licensed nurses this next year just in case somebody stubs their
toe. But we built 200 more throwing knives. We're tuning up our design on the axes and the
knives. Things are getting better every year. The Lord puts it on my heart to declutter things.
So instead of drawing and building the 12-man teams on the Saturday,
where now when men get there and register, we say,
are you interested in being a part of the 12-man team challenge?
Okay?
So that we can have their names ahead of time.
Because Friday at noon, men arrive, they register,
they get into their dorms, they get into their campsites,
they walk around and get familiar with the facility,
they try out the throwing knives, the throwing axes,
then we pig out on barbecue and we get ready for evening service.
We find out who wants to be part of the 12-man team challenge on the Friday so that we pick the teams, 1, 2, 3 through 12, and we know that ahead of time because we wasted almost two hours picking teams on the Saturday last year.
So we'll have the teams pre-picked the Saturday.
The 12-man teams compete in the axe throwing, which is deadly, nothing fancy, no real incredible talent required.
Just throw the axes, stick them in the target and collect your points.
and throw the knife, stick them in a target, collect your points.
Shoot the bow into a very close target, but it's got like a dartboard type point system
so you can collect your points.
The points are all tallied for each team.
Then they do the 12-man spike drive, where every team competes to drive these big 12-inch spikes.
Then they move down to the lake, and this is a big upgrade to Man Camps activity this year.
Each 12-man team got a canoe last year, and three guys from each team raced out and did this little
pattern and come back. The Lord's given me an innovative idea that's going to jack this up
tenfold. And we're going to video it and you'll be on YouTube because it's probably going to
have a million likes. The 12-man teams meet at the beach this year, two canoes per team. So six guys
from each team are in canoes, six guys remain on shore. When the canoes leave the shore,
the six remaining team members for each team on shore are equipped with a three-man water balloon
launcher and a garbage can full of biodegradable water balloons. And once the teams get past the 75
yard mark, the remainder of the team members on shore rain down some suppressive fire on their
opponent's boats, right? Each guy's got to wear safety glasses because these balloons are vicious.
They travel through this gauntlet of a course, you know, 40-50, 4-liter milk jugs with anchors,
you know, building this course.
to the end of the course where they've got to go through a, I call it the cul-de-sac of death.
It's 350-foot by 16-inch diameter plastic floating like ship harbor booms that are chained together.
It's a big rectangular thing.
In the middle is my 20-foot alligator hunting boat with four trash pumps that are neck down from 3-inch to a 1-inch ball valve and a 6-inch nipples.
So it's literally like a fire hose, a jet stream from this flatboat.
Now, all the canoes come into this cul-de-sac of death.
They've got to get around this big rectangular cul-de-sac
and this 20-foot boat that takes up half of it
while being pelted within decent amounts of high-pressure water.
Then they got a race back.
Have you tested this on yourself?
Oh, yeah.
It's vicious.
We're talking the gauntlet of canoe relay races.
They make their way back towards the finish line,
getting hammered with these biodegradable water balloons.
Once inside that 75-yard marker,
the teams can no longer nail them with water balloons
because 75 yards is about,
you don't want to get hit inside that.
These things actually leave quite a welt.
But after this canoe relay race, it's a timed event, right?
So their times are recorded.
Both boats, just like with the wagons,
both outrated riders have to finish.
Both boats return to shore, their time is saved,
goes on to their team score.
All the 12-man teams compete in the final,
which was epic last year,
with the 12-man tug-of-war.
And, I mean, you could smell the testosterone on that beach
when 300 guys roared, pull, pull, come on.
Man, you picture Paul Days,
torque in the end of that one-inch rope
and him hollering at his boys,
he looked like an army general.
It was intense.
I can hardly wait for it.
I'm getting stoked.
My hair's standing up just thinking of it.
But I watched these 12-man teams
and the men during this 12-man activity,
even the spectators, right?
Because those guys that don't want to be part
of the 12-man challenge, that's cool.
They all just drink in decent amounts of coffee
and cheer on the rest of them.
They don't have to take part.
It's just those guys that want to win the ring,
want to win the hoodie.
Is that the ring?
That's one of the rings, yeah.
They look like football rings, and they're actually pretty cool.
But it ain't about the activities and the prizes, but the camaraderie and the fellowship, man.
When the devil told me for years that Christian men were weak, wimpy, pathetic, passive men,
he was lying through his teeth.
The Bible says he's a liar.
Says the devil and his demons masquerade his angels of light.
But he was lying to me through his teeth.
the most powerful, fearless, selfless, faithful, devoted men I've ever known in my life
or these spirit-filled, sincere followers of Christ.
Not play church, lukewarm, you know, hang out for 60 minutes a week.
Christians, these guys are sold out for Jesus.
They wake up and say, Lord, what have you got for me today?
And how are you going to use me today, Lord?
Not all of them gifted preachers.
Some of them gifted anointed businessmen.
God gave gifts to men.
Not all of them are mouthpiece cowboys like me.
Some of them have incredible intellectual giftings.
Run businesses.
Like this, well, I'm not going to say any names.
Dozens and dozens of men that I, before this,
dozens and dozens of men that without Christ I would have nothing in common with
and have nothing to do with.
Gifted lawyers, gifted doctors, gifted political figures.
Scholars, like these people are academic scholars, all part of the team and all pulling together.
They're not all the knuckles like me.
They're not all the feet.
They all are different parts of the body pulling together.
And that's one of the biggest things.
Through doing this man camp, there have been incredible obstacles and all kinds of hurdles to jump.
And through the whole thing, no matter how stressful or how imposterous,
possible or how, you know, inadequate we might have been, the Spirit of God has made a way.
And this fellowship and unity, like I probably quoted the first time on this podcast, right?
First John 1-17 says, when you walk in the light as he himself is in the light, capital he, Jesus,
you have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin.
If you don't have that fellowship with on fire for the Lord Jesus,
spirit-filled, hungry for more of God Christians,
I dare say that you're spiritually sick in some way,
and you better sort it out.
I preached a message the other day, Pastor John, let me preach.
I know.
Risky, right?
And I explained to these people that I'm not here to judge them.
I'm not here to evaluate their walk with God.
the word of God is what evaluates their walk with him.
The word of God is what judges you, not me.
I'm not your judge.
You can be thankful for that.
I'm not a very good God.
It's the word of God that judges us.
I said to them,
I'm not going to evaluate your life or tell you what you should or shouldn't do.
I'm not going to tell you which areas of your life are not surrendered to Christ.
I'm not going to point out the flaws in your walk with God.
Get in the word of God and find out for yourself.
And before you do, ask the Holy Spirit to show up in your life possibly for the first time that you've let him.
So he can give you revelation of it and understanding so that it's not just a religious read.
And so I directed them to 2 Corinthians 13.
I'm going to let the Word of God do the speaking here so that I don't butcher it.
All right.
So the Apostle Paul, he's obviously talking to the Corinthian Church.
I'll start in 2nd Corinthians 12, verse 20.
He says, for I am afraid that perhaps when I come,
I may find you to be not what I wish and may be found by you to be not what you wish.
He can be ticked when he finds out the church has gone awry.
That perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, anger, tempers, disputes, slanders,
gossip, arrogance, disturbances.
I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you.
And I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented.
We're not perfect people.
we make mistakes, but we don't willingly consciously live in that sin, knowing, right, that this is
absolutely toxic. He says, those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the
impurity, the immorality, the sensuality, which they have practiced, right? When you're a, when you're
a practicing sinner, you know you're living wrong, you know that the Lord wants you free of it,
but because Jesus isn't completely Lord of your life, you said, I don't care.
I'm going to live like this.
I'm going to do this.
I am going to allow myself to, I guess, practice these things, and I don't care.
Paul says, in 2 Corinthians 13, verse 5, he says, like I said, I'm not going to analyze or judge or go out of my way to point out the flaws in your walk.
he says test yourselves to see if you are in the faith examine yourselves or do you not recognize
this about yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you unless indeed you fail the test this church that was
fully functional led by the spirit of God when Paul left him has fallen into willful sin and in many
ways taking lordship back into their own hands and Paul said before I even get there go ahead and
test yourselves. Examine your own walk.
You know, discover for yourselves
the areas in your life where you're living
in sin, where your life's not
surrendered to Christ. You know, evaluate
yourself so that I don't have to.
I recommend every believer
does this and I recommend doing it regular.
Examine
your own lives occurring to the Word of God.
Don't just pick your favorite
scriptures that pamper your pet
demons in your life. Don't
just read about the blessings, read about how to acquire the blessings. Right? So many of these guys I meet,
they're like, this guy told me my life was going to be transformed. This guy told me that my life
was going to be so different that I would have this authority of God in my life and that
God would bless my life financially and that I'd be instantly miraculously healed and that I'd
that I'd expect this and that and this and that. And he never pointed out the fact that that that
that took submitting to God, surrendering to Christ, being devoted and committed to him, at least in some way, right in the beginning.
Baby Christians, you know, coming out of a life of sin and total darkness, oblivious to God's will for their life, he's gracious.
So gracious.
And in the beginning, a baby Christian can take one step towards God, and he shows up, confirms it six different ways so that they notice it at least once.
every time they open the Bible
it's kind of like going to the gym
yeah first two weeks
the first two weeks you see huge
radical results right
all that water weight falls off
when I used to train MMA
I could cut a pound a day
excitement of it oh yeah
he does that for baby Christians
at some point
they look to him and he rewards it
I tell you I went to church for the first time on Sunday
in a long time
oh you didn't tell me that brother
me and Mel and the kids
all went, yeah.
And Mama loved it.
Yeah, she sat right.
But yeah, she was pretty happy.
Oh, careful, man.
She's going to catch fire too.
Fire for the Lord.
It's funny.
It's probably the first time,
and this is no knock on any church I've been to
in the last two years.
I truly mean that.
It's the first time I've ever felt like,
I can actually feel it.
I never, I didn't know what that meant.
I was actually thinking.
You could feel the presence of God.
Yeah, I was thinking about
when I walked in. When I walked in, I like, we'll see.
Well, you want to know something cool. Me and Mrs. Allen, before we went to church yesterday,
and she'll vouch for this, we come together and we prayed for Sean Newman, that if today was
the day that the Lord Jesus brought Sean Newman into some church, some congregation, that every
demonic thing that was assigned to his life to hinder him from receiving that timely word from God,
and having himself strengthened in his faith,
we prayed that every demonic thing would be bound
and totally powerless to do so.
And we just believed God to just work in your family,
to work in your marriage,
and that he would do a miraculous thing
when Sean Newman heard the Word of God preached.
Well, I appreciate that.
Because yesterday was the first time I've ever been in a church
and been like, hmm.
I want to be here.
Isn't that funny?
I mean that.
Yeah.
Well, you don't have to go to church to know Christ.
When you know Christ and you have that fellowship walking in the light as he is in the light, you have fellowship with one another.
You don't go to church to serve God.
You go to church to be a part of the body of Christ.
And when you do, that man of God that's been set apart to be a pastor, teacher, preacher, he's willing to let God use him, speak through.
him, he don't know what Sean Newman and his wife's dealing with, but what's the odds?
He opens his mouth and if he's preaching a word of God.
What's the odd the first day, you know, and everybody will laugh at me for saying this.
My favorite book of gospel is John.
I don't know.
My grandpa, like the godliest man in my family, he says, Josh, you're leading a lot of people
to the Lord and you're introducing a lot of people to Jesus.
Make sure you tell him to start in the book of John.
That's my favorite, my favorite chapter in the whole Bible.
because John really
He's a theologian
Or at least he writes
Like in a way that my brain
Just really gravitates to him
Yeah he's a human
Right 100%
He kind of gloats a little bit
About racing Peter to the tomb
And beating him
And he can
And he relates to himself
As the disciple that Jesus loved
He loved all the disciples
But he claims to be the one
That Jesus loved the most
Right
He's still a human
Anointed by God
Filled with the Spirit
But a human
Well Mel laughed at me
because she rolled her eyes.
I'm like, oh, it's Chris French.
I'm like, I grew up with Chris.
We went to church together.
I was actually joking with her.
Because as kids, me and Chris used to take,
showed with Chris French.
We used to take a piece of paper,
just a white, blank piece of paper,
draw a line in the middle.
I can't remember how old we are,
probably like seven years old.
And he'd get 15 minutes to put out like tanks
and I can't remember if we used X's for,
army men or whatever and then I get to the other 15 and right and then for the next part of the
service we'd make the sounds and we'd destroy part of the army back and forth taken in a lot from
the service that's right back and forth and mom I tell mom this story and she's like can you can
imagine how us parents felt as you kids were making those sounds right like and I'm I laughed because
my kids are you know doing kid things but but this before you go any further don't think that that
God's not imparting some thing to those kids um these people that
don't expose their kids to that, you know, that word of God preached,
that experience where they see their father, their mother,
praising the Lord, humbling themselves before God to be a part of what God's doing in that church,
that impacts them whether they like it or not.
Expose your kid to the presence of God.
Expose your kid to the word of God preached, even if they fight you tooth and nail.
I got spanked every time I went to church as a kid because I was that much of a wild-class.
card.
If your kid comes up from Sunday school or from the basement of the church and the Sunday
school teacher is dragging him by his arm because he punched the face off some other kid
and you're going to discipline him or you're no kind of parent.
Church for me was getting spanked, buddy.
I was a bad kid.
Go ahead.
Tell me, though.
I didn't have any of that happened.
Oh, you were a good kid.
I talked to people all over the city.
That was a great kid.
What about Dorothy?
She loved you.
So he starts talking about John.
And the man who sat on his mat for, what, 30 plus years.
Yeah.
Or, I mean, that's kind of how it's.
Yeah, 30-some years crippled.
Crippled, waiting for the bubbling water to get in there, right?
And Jesus walks out and tells him pick up his mat and walk, right?
And I'm like, oh, man, it's a great story.
So I was just, I was sitting there and normally, I don't know.
Normally, it's some story I know nothing about.
Because I'll be the first say, I've read the Bible, but I haven't read the Bible.
Yeah, it's different when the Holy Spirit sheds light on it, it gives you revelation.
And so since I've been reading the Bible, John is John and James, right?
You bring up James, and lately I've been saying it's been Romans.
Romans, for whatever reason, has really been just hammering on me.
But James is what brought me back to the Bible in the middle of last summer.
I was just annoyed.
And I was annoyed.
Lord put me in three weeks.
I was in James just to tune me in, yeah.
Yeah, well, I mean, the, you know, the tongue is the rudder of the, you know, the body, right?
Yeah, it really is.
There's a lot to be said there, right?
But I always come back to John.
John has been my favorite book.
I don't know why it, the way it's written, the way he writes, it could be all of it.
I don't know.
It's just fantastic.
Anyway, so the sermon was on John.
And I thought it was very well done.
I just, I can't remember the last time I sat in a church, okay?
I literally sat in a church.
My own free will.
and sat there and went,
this is actually pretty good.
I don't know if that thought's ever gone through my brain.
And I don't mean that to knock any church I've been to.
Sometimes I can imagine screw tape letters, right?
Where he talks about you start judging everybody
and you're not even listening to what the heck's going on, right?
Like you're, and yesterday I was just sitting there and I'm like,
hey, I actually am enjoying this.
Did it seem as if that every demonic force ever assigned to your life to hinder you
had been bound and rendered powerless to do something?
Well, by the cowboy preacher, I'm learning that now.
And Mrs. Allen. My wife is a woman of faith. This woman has like the most incredible memory and has downloaded two thirds of the Bible. Like she was the Awanas. Ken Fisher knows her. She went to Awanas and she rocked the Awanus world with her. God-given ability to memorize scripture. So my wife, I married up. My wife is a blessing. If I got to get clarity on something or I think I'm missing it, I go, honey, what do you think about this? The Lord put this on my heart.
like can i share something that sure so i meet with like 35 professional christian men that some of them
been serving the lord for 50 60 years at this impactus thing and they're like man your passion for
god is contagious dude you're you're compelling us to get up out of our chair and take the gospel
to the streets again and we haven't this is something we're somewhere we need this and i'm like brother
I think the Lord took, like he said in First Corinthians, the simple and the base thing to confound the wise.
I'm honored and privileged that the Lord has commissioned me to awaken human beings in the body of Christ
to be fully active in serving the Lord and accomplish his will in these last days.
He showed me in Isaiah 60, this darkness that's covering our world, right?
This woke government, all the dark things, you know, twisted sexual sense.
sin being made acceptable and being called the norm by some tiny little actual fringe minority
in our society.
All the bizarre, terrible things that is just plaguing this world.
In Isaiah 60, it says, darkness will cover the, I got to turn there.
Darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness.
I'm going there, buddy, because I don't want to butcher this.
So the Lord's been taking me back.
to Isaiah quite a bit. And when I start doing and allowing him to use me in big ways to reach this
world, I encounter a pile of attack from the enemy. He shows up in bizarre ways. I won't even get that.
And the Lord always takes me back to Isaiah because Isaiah, he gave me Isaiah 41. Now I got wrote down
here back in 2010. Now February 15th again in March 8th, both 2024. Do not fear for I am with you.
do not anxiously look about you for I am your God I will strengthen you surely I will help you
surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand so I'll go to God and I'll be like God I'm under
heavy heavy enemy fire I need some encouragement I need some strength I'll open my Bible
and every now in the Lord it just mow me down with his love right and this is one of the
scriptures he's used other times so many times I'm
Isaiah 54,
O afflicted one, storm tossed and not comforted.
Behold, I will set your stones and intimony,
your foundations I will lay in sapphires.
Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies
and your gates of crystal
and your entire wall of precious stones.
All your sons will be taught of the Lord,
and I love that because I got three of them.
And the well-being of your sons will be great.
In righteousness, you will be established.
You will be far from the oppression,
for you will not fear.
and from terror terror
it will not come near you
you're talking Isaiah
and it's funny I was drawn there
a couple weeks ago and I was shocked at Isaiah
one
it says listen oh heavens pay attention earth
this is what the Lord says the children I raised
and cared for have rebelled against me
even as an ox knows its owner
and a donkey recognizes its master's care
but Israel doesn't know its master
my people don't recognize my care
for them or what a sinful nation they
are loaded down with a burden of guilt.
They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the Lord.
And it goes on and on.
And it's talking about how they've forgotten who he is essentially.
Totally.
And I'm like, oh, man, that's, well, we're repeating.
We have.
We have.
And society continues to do so.
Just know that it doesn't go unnoticed by God.
Before we go any further, I keep forgetting, I told you about this before I started.
I'm like, I've been holding it in my hand.
I've been wanting to see what's in that little bag.
Well, it's for everyone who comes in the studio, Josh.
So this is for you, okay?
Really?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Man.
So you better open that up.
When I approached Silver Gold Bull at the start of the year.
And I hate to bring in, you know, we're in the middle of a conversation.
We've been rolling for a while.
But I've been waiting for a spot to interject in the back of my brain.
And then I told you at start, I'm like, I'm going to put it right here so I don't forget about it.
And I look over, I'm like, we're almost two hours in.
But essentially anyone who comes to the studio gets a one ounce silver coin for making the trip and coming in here.
It's a bit of appreciation.
Silver Gold Bull has been phenomenal.
They love the idea, right?
And with everything where we're at, all these different things, you know.
This is one of the nicest coins I've ever seen.
Well, I appreciate you coming in doing this.
Who's this indigenous brother on here?
I actually don't know.
You ought to ask them.
I'll bet you this guy has a story.
story. Yeah, like when I got
delivered from hell on earth
by the Lord Jesus Christ, all
traces of discrimination and racism fell
off me, man, just like water off
a duck's back.
That Indian gang member that I was telling you about?
Yeah, that guy's still
getting rocked by God. He's texting me now.
He's getting free of things.
He couldn't get free in his own
strength.
And when
the Holy Spirit
does one miracle in their life,
a lot of times that's enough to keep them hooked
I mean I feel sorry
for people that have been taught
some kind of religious
like mental intellectual walk with God
that's devoid of the Holy Spirit's supernatural
activity in their life
I don't know how they do it I never could
I could have never got free
had the Holy Spirit not showed up in my life
and completely saved my life for one
time and time again.
I don't even want to get into some of the miraculous times.
The Holy Spirit saved my life from the beginning.
But I feel terrible for him.
Trying to, like pastor at church,
trying to raise a family,
trying to be that man of God in society today
in your own fleshly strength and ability,
in your own intellectual capabilities,
impossible.
It says that the mind of the flesh can't comfort,
can't comprehend, can't comprehend spiritual truth.
It says in Romans 8, it was never possible to do this in the flesh.
Without the spirit of God, look at the disciples, right?
Luke 24, they're in the upper room.
Jesus says, I got to go.
Stay here until you have been clothed with power from on high
when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, right?
Day of Pentecost happens.
All the disciples, 120 people in the upper room,
who are hiding there trembling like cowardly terrified human beings get baptized by the
Holy Spirit of power, the Spirit of God, they leave that room transformed like lions for Christ.
Literally preaching the Word of God to thousands of people.
I think 3,000 people were added to their number, literally conformed from whatever
way of religious life they had to follow Christ that very day.
When Peter, on the day of Pentecost, addressed the whole community that had gathered there
for their religious feasts and such, right?
3,000 people turned to Christ.
In Acts, Acts 1, and I got scriptures all over the place here now that I'm wanting to address,
but in Acts 1, it says directly,
All right.
It says in Acts 1, verse 7, he said to them,
it is not for you to know the times or the epochs,
which the father is fixed by his own authority,
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem,
in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remote parts of the earth.
This Holy Spirit, enabling this Holy Spirit, you know, baptizing,
enabling, strengthening, equipping.
I don't know how anybody religiously intellectually
expects to properly accomplish God's will for their lives
or reach the world for Christ in their own strength.
The disciples couldn't do it.
These guys that walked, talked, learned directly from Jesus
couldn't pull it off.
Until they were clothed with power from on high, like in Luke 24,
or until they received power when the Holy Spirit came upon them,
and they literally left that upper room, enabled, quickened by the Spirit of God,
led by the Spirit of God, they couldn't accomplish nothing.
What makes us think that we can religiously, intellectually,
accomplish God's will for our lives without that?
Man, if you take the supernatural signs and wonders and miraculous things
that the Holy Spirit of God did out of the book,
I actually left with nothing.
Nothing.
Just like my walk was God before the Holy Spirit.
Nothing.
Worthless.
Powerless, pathetic.
Can I share an idea that I'm working on?
Yes, sir.
I mean, you're a part of it, so you know part of it.
The audience doesn't know anything about this.
I think I briefly made mention of it on Monday's intro
of kind of some things I'm working on.
You know, I've wrestled the idea
church for a very long time because I almost have like you just 60 minutes a week wasn't doing it
for you and how it was done wasn't doing it for me I I'm you know this everybody probably knows this
have you've ever been to an event of mine I'm a very time orientated person it's why I get drawn to
the Catholic church quite a bit because they have a structure it's just like this how it's laid out I wanted
to be Catholic myself and yet at times it feels I got Catholic friends I got non-Catholic friends
At times for me, it feels like...
Since the Catholic Church has disregarded most of the Word of God now,
I meet more Catholic people crying out to a, like a tangible, real personal relationship in Jesus Christ every day.
Well, what I'm getting to is I'm like, I've just been wrestling with church.
So anyways, have the Cornerstone Forum coming April 27th.
Josh Allen is going to be there.
And it was my brother who pointed out to me.
he's like, you realize for a guy who's leaning heavily on faith, right?
You have a cornerstone for him,
which got joked about being a Mason idea.
And I'd like to point out that there is scripture
about Jesus being the cornerstone as well.
So regardless, he looked at it and he said,
you know, you have all this wonderful speakers coming in,
but you have nothing about faith.
And I was like, I know, and it's been bugging me.
It's been really bugging me, right?
And the more I think about it,
the more it bugs me.
and you go back for it.
What are I going to do?
And so Sunday morning, we're going to have, I don't know what to call it, service.
Can I call this service?
It's going to be some preaching.
Going to be some preaching.
There you go.
And you got the cowboy preacher.
You got Tanner in a day.
And you got, I assume, that was the call to come in.
And I guess I'll have to scrub this if it isn't the right.
You'll have Cam Milliken.
And Cam Milliken's never been on the podcast.
People have probably never heard that name.
I can't wait to meet some of your friends.
I'm waiting to meet Tanner for over a year now.
30 years as a preacher out in Vancouver is Cam Milliken, roughly.
And so the idea is my version of a Sunday morning that I think will be fascinating.
And that's roughly three men get a time slot and they preach.
And we got to work around the idea of what we want to accomplish that morning.
But that's going to be free to anyone in Lloyd if they want to come.
And we'll take donations.
I've got to figure out where the donations are going because I don't want that to come.
to me. I want that to go somewhere where it's put on my heart probably to go. But regardless,
we're working on venue right now, and I've been waiting. The thing I've been wrestling with
is do you get a small intimate venue, which I can have right now, and if we get 100 people
there, it is packed. Or do you try and get something a little larger and try and draw on more people?
I don't know the answer to that. I actually, I have zero clue. I've never done anything like this
before. Maybe 10 people show up.
maybe 500 try and show up.
I don't know.
But regardless, you're going to have the cowboy preacher, Tanner in a day.
I've been telling Tanner, if he would just start preaching in a church, I'd probably come every Sunday.
The guy's a Bible scholar.
I've been listening to some of that stuff you guys have been talking about.
Well, and so now I'm putting in you, him, and Cam Milliken, it will not be boring.
It will not be dull.
I don't know what actually happens that morning.
God could do miraculous things there.
people could be healed. You might have three demons manifest on the front row just by the
preaching of the Word of God. Who knows? This could be an intense thing.
So you got the Cornerstone Forum, which I hope people buy tickets to. We're over half sold out.
We've got 40 days. Well, actually less than that now, before it happens. And so I hope people
come, and I hope they enjoy that. We've got speakers coming from all over the world. But if you're
like I'm just not that interested.
Sunday morning is going to be,
you know, pay attention for details on that.
I'm coming to that Saturday too, eh?
Yeah, you are.
Yeah, praise the Lord.
Yeah.
I'm looking forward to it.
I don't get out of the hills too much.
I'm stuck in the old patch.
Until the Lord sets me free from the old patch ministry,
I'm isolated from the city quite a bit.
You think one day he's going to be like you've done your work here,
it's time to go here?
That isn't for you to know.
Lord's will be done in my life.
Yeah, Lord's will be done in my life.
When he cuts me loose, I do know this.
I'm growing up.
a beard. Now this long
like two inch mustache, they're going to
join a like a five to
eight inch beard.
I've been waiting my whole life.
So you're a little envious looking over it, not that I have
a five inch. Well at this impact
this thing, man, I was trying not to be biased, but these
guys would walk past
with these huge, deadly, manly
beards and I was like, hold on a sec,
your beard rocks.
And when I get set free from the old patch ministry,
I'm growing one.
Okay, you need to keep going, right?
but there's some deadly beards out there you realize that you know i was i was saying this like
there's like maybe three people nobody is the cowboy breacher i want to make that clear but
there are a couple of close people that are several stephen he might as well be he's coming on
the next blue collar round table i the hardcore sold out for christ biker who's got a very similar
spirit he's led by the same spirit this guy loves well my jesus more than life
I got a story of what Harold.
We started, so I'm in a men's group with his two sons, right?
Or two of his sons, I shouldn't say his two sons.
There's more than two.
But we're sitting there, and he pulled me in his room.
Yeah.
And can I pray for you?
And I remember being like this is weird.
And I remember thinking it was weird.
Oh, he's got a heart, man.
But he did say something there that I've never forgotten.
That was there's a war going on for you right now.
Oh, yeah.
And still rages on, I might add.
I just think the right side's winning.
Well, you wonder why at times you're under incredible attack.
You're letting the whole world watch Jesus Christ turn your whole life upside down.
Well, I got annoyed about Ottawa.
Yeah.
I don't know if I've told you this.
I think I have, but I came back from Ottawa.
A shamble.
I was broke, you know.
Rocked.
And I got the entire world, in my opinion, staring at it.
Now, they don't know what's happened, but they know something's happened.
Up until that point, I'd never taken a break from podcast.
And I'd take 53 days.
You got smoked.
Oh, I got laid out.
And then I had to go around.
I had an event of 400 people showing up.
I had to refund all their tickets, had to, you know...
I wish I could have been there in Ottawa with you, bro.
But it wouldn't have been the same.
It wouldn't have been the same.
And I wouldn't have...
I wouldn't have understood.
And I still, at times, don't understand.
Even now, I wouldn't mind keeping your six at some of these events.
But I came back and I was annoyed because when I started to explore all these different topics,
you know I used to say you know it could be
stress lack of sleep
drugs and alcohol spiritual
and the more and more people I said that to
because you know like they all played a factor
oh you know it's spiritual so why don't we talk about it
I said everybody knows what it is why aren't we hiding from
while they'll be me crazy I'm like well they think
you're crazy about all the other things we better start
talking about what's actually going on because we don't
this gets to perpetuate into the future
so like to me
you know like people along for the ride
it's like I don't know they've been along in
the ride for a long time.
And if this is the way it's supposed to be,
if this is the way I'm supposed to go,
you know, all I do is, you know,
pray before I walk in here.
And then try and hold on for dear life because...
The difference is now, bro, you got in the ring.
You got into an intense battle between darkness and light,
and you weren't submitted to God at that point.
So you got the snot kicked out of you.
Now, my man, you come back, you've regrouped.
You've been looking to the Lord, you've been feeding on the Word of God, you've been letting the Spirit of God adjust your life.
You're now quite capable of walking in the authority you have in Christ.
I pray at Ephesians chapter 1, verse 17 through 21 over you, asking, right?
God the Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, to give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.
So that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened so that you would know,
the hope of his calling.
What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance
and the saints and what is the surpassing
greatness of the power, his power
towards us who believe?
Right after that it explains that
every principality and power
and ruler of the darkness of this world
has been put under his
feet and that he is the head of the church,
head of the body of Christ
and that we are his body.
Well, I don't have enough
words to thank all the men
specifically men who've reached out and been a part of uh and continue to be a part i should say
of uh where i've come you've come further than you know but i'd also one of the most impactful
things because for a while i i like compartmentalized what had happened like that didn't really have
pretty far out oh it's it's a bit crazy yeah and then i had it you know um then i had an
experience with the shaman happened that it was dead sober.
You know, I couldn't write it off as drugs.
I couldn't write it off as alcohol.
I had no excuses.
Yeah, yeah.
And that's the night I, you know, I really mean this, folks.
I would not challenge God.
I mean, but I, you know, if you're real, now's your time.
Because I'm not coming back.
I'm going to go that way unless you're real.
Yeah.
And, you know, I tell the story of being under the table with my phone and I'd text
him, a friend, and I'd said, hey, I need a place today.
I wasn't home.
And, you know, it's going around.
And I can see where this is going.
And I'm going, if you're real, now is it time.
So you're hanging out with the shaman and some under individual, other individuals that
were like him or in cahoots with him?
I don't even know the answer to that.
Or maybe oblivious.
Could be, or interested in intrigued by it.
I don't think it was this, like, it didn't present itself.
is like this dark like a lot of people are just spiritual people and they take part in everything
and they believe all roads lead to the same end and they've been duped into this it felt like it felt
like um for somebody who's never drank they won't understand this analogy but like when you take a shot
of whiskey that feeling that goes through your body is something that toxic and so that's the
flooding of your system that's the that's the system that's what i had right that that that's that
That's the exact feeling.
When you were fellowshiping and talking and interviewing the shaman, you could feel that presence, eh?
This wasn't on the podcast.
Okay.
This was surrounded by like 15 people.
So this was just in a meeting.
This was at a supper.
Oh, yeah.
So it ends, you know, and I'm going, that was Ottawa.
Like, I can't explain all of it.
You recognize it.
But I recognize it.
So I got a place for me to stay.
And I go, and then I go, all right.
You either answer now or I go a different way.
You're looking to God for direction.
And so it goes around and it gets to, you know,
everybody's talking about, we're staying and this and that.
And it's about four people wait,
but I can feel it's going to come around the full circle.
And I look down, my phone's dinged, and it says,
you always have a place to stay.
Praise God.
And I went, okay, done.
And I got back to the house that night.
I got down on bending knee.
I prayed.
I said, I can't do this alone.
I need you to protect me.
It wasn't for wealth, wasn't for riches.
It wasn't for any of that.
It was just like, just like, I can't.
do this anymore like the world is not making sense I'm being like pulled and and and
twisted and in and now my eyes attacked at different times you know there's a battle
taking place for who Sean's gonna serve yes yeah yeah because you're either
serving the Lord and here's the crazy part so so the next day he walks with me the
entire day feel it it was like putting on the armor of God yeah and do you think
do you think Sean went I'm fully in
No, no, he came back home, went, oh, that was an experience,
and walked to vote and wrestled with it for another three months, or six, or whatever it was.
It's funny that...
Humans are foolish.
It sometimes takes a long time for them to realize just how foolish they are.
And it took me years, man, and I crashed and burned a few times until I learned the hard way.
I walk away from Jesus.
I lose it all.
I lose the anointing.
I use the control over my flesh, everything.
I crash and burn
You're an interesting man to have to
Sit down or you know
Because you know
Like one of the things that
I've talked to a lot of people about you
And a lot of people are not
Christians
Oh no
Not church-going Christians
Like not devout
Right
Maybe they believe in a little bit of the Bible
But you know
They're kind of like
I go about my life
And you know
I do the works
And I think that's enough
And I don't need to be like sold out
Right
And yet when they meet you, they go, yeah, that Josh Allen, that is, that's, that's something.
You don't look the part that they're accustomed to with Jesus Christ.
You just don't.
So you have this ability to get into all these different rooms and speak the way you speak.
And everybody kind of like takes a pause because it doesn't fit.
The cover of the book doesn't match what's going on, right?
Yeah.
And it's one of the things I admire about you.
It's one of the reasons, you know, you're back in here, I think.
Maybe I'm wrong on that.
I don't know.
I look at your man camp and I go, I wish you nothing but success.
And I assume, I don't, you know, like the big guy up top is already pushing that way.
You can already see it happening.
But, you know, to any guy out there that's just kind of like on the fence, I mean,
what better way to experience it than to go to a camp on the weekend?
And the thing that inside the, I can already hear them, like the little voice is going to have a cab,
it's going to be weird.
They're going to probably pray.
It is going to be weird.
They're probably going to, you know, they're probably going to, and they're going to probably, and I don't know where that probably goes.
There's probably 50 things they're saying.
It's like, or just go and experience a weekend.
Maybe it may be coming out.
That isn't for me.
Or maybe something else.
Guys have tested.
Absolutely happens.
Guys have told me, actually a lot of guys have told me.
The minute I decided to go to this man camp, these ideas flooded my mind.
The enemy literally engages them.
Do not go to this man camp.
This is not for you.
It's going to be weird.
It's a waste of time.
These guys encounter tremendous attack.
Some of them more than other.
Some other guys, they come.
No resistance whatsoever.
Leave rocked by God.
All I know is these guys,
a thousand guys at this impact this thing,
asked me, why do I want to go to this and what's it all about?
I said, this is.
And the Lord's created this thing to be
the most incredible Christian men's activity in Western Canada,
not one man is going to come to this men's event
and leave unchanged for the better.
I know a dozen, two dozen, I know a lot of guys now.
300 guys came last year.
So, so many said, I've been a Christian for 25 years.
I had let my walk with God grow, you know, stale,
you know, day by day, just a tiny bit growing.
going stale, I'm losing my fire for God, man.
And during these services and during the fellowship with other men
and during the activities and during the man camp,
somehow the Lord has ignited and firing me again.
I'm no longer concerned with what the guy down the aisle thinks of me.
I'm sold out for Jesus.
I'm no longer concerned with trying to live my life
according to a bunch of rules.
I can feel the Holy Spirit leading me.
it literally
God's used it to equip
these men
strengthen these men
encourage these men
create relationships with other men
that he's using
some miraculous way
to either build them up
and come alongside them
enabling them to accomplish
what God's called them
the Lord and by the Spirit of God
is able to link and network men
like I've never seen brother
I
I got a buddy
He's a preacher down in San Antonio.
The Lord did a miraculous couple of miracles to bring him into my life.
And I felt led to phone him the other day just to tell him.
Man Camp is in full effect.
The Lord's opening doors.
He's making a way.
Chances are it's going to be gigantic.
Who knows 500 to 1,000 men.
He's literally making ways where there wasn't a way.
And just consider it.
Pray about it.
And he's like, yeah, sure.
No, if the Lord leads.
I'd like that.
It's a long ways from San Antonio or blanket.
He jumps on a plane, flies to a Christian men's thing in California at Bethel Church.
One of the first guys he meets is the main speaker,
and the main speaker's like, I feel led to make you aware of this man camp in Canada.
And he's like, you know the cowboy preacher?
You mean Josh Allen?
So he flies whatever half the thousands of miles.
For my own brain, did he actually say the cowboy preacher?
Yeah.
Isn't that wild?
Okay, carry on.
I've even referred to myself as the cowboy preacher
because it's that common now,
but he does miraculous things.
So I'm driving down the road.
My buddy Corey's on my heart.
I haven't worked with him for over a year.
I decided to phone him, right?
He doesn't answer.
Probably because I'm absolutely sold out for Christ,
and I'm going to tell him what awesome and incredible things
the Lord's done in my life.
Who knows?
I shot him a copy of the Man Camp brochure
and the dates
and all that information that he needs.
Still believe in God that he'll come.
And then I went about my day.
I went to look at a picker truck
from my buddy Steve Holmstrom that, you know.
And we're going through this picker truck
seeing if it's got any leaks or damage,
how it runs, how it sounds, inspecting it.
And these two boys come up.
I'll begin to share with these boys.
They're like, I'm like,
oh, you guys are getting the hard jobs.
I mean, you guys are still in high school.
Yeah.
Oh, man, they give you some of the hardest,
roughest, least fulfilling jobs, you know, right out of high school.
And they're like, yeah, did you ever have to do anything like this?
They're sorting out a bunch of socket sets that have been dumped in the mud.
And they're trying to clean these things up.
And I said, oh, yeah, man, before Christ, I had some of the worst, most labor-intensive jobs that there was.
They're like, what do you mean before Christ?
I said, before I met the Lord Jesus, I was a wild animal, completely lost, totally demonized and lost in the world,
hopeless, miserable
without God.
I'm like, really?
I'm like, yeah, voice.
The Lord Jesus is everything
that the Bible says he is.
You have a Bible?
Well, yeah.
I said it's not a good luck charm.
Unless you read it and actually apply it to your life,
it's not going to just bring you good luck.
Really?
It's like the first time these guys
have ever been, you know...
And then you've got to follow along.
Yeah, but anyways...
Because that's where I sit with this bloody podcast.
part of them, you know, it's just like, what am I doing? You know? The cool thing is, I phone this guy,
this friend of mine. Fifteen minutes later, an hour later, I arrive at this truck yard. I'm looking
at this truck. I begin to share my testimony at these two young boys. I said, now, look, the Lord's
transformed my life. He set me free. He's filled this emptiness in me. I now have the joy of the Lord
every day. The peace of God, no matter whether the world around me is falling apart. And I'm the
director of this gigantic man camp, the most incredible Christian men's activity in Western Canada.
And they're like, oh, I said, yeah, well, I got a brochure right here in my truck. I give them both
brochures. I said, boys, I got to go. I got to go look at this picker. Read your Bibles.
Hit your knees. Invite the Lord Jesus to show up and then invite His Holy Spirit to help you understand
the word. He's going to do all the heavy lifting. You just hold on to Jesus and follow that still small
voice. I got to go. Oh, wait a minute.
What's your names, boys?
My buddy that I just tried to call,
one of them kids was his son.
What's the odds at all the thousands of kids in Lloydminster?
Can't get a hold of my buddy. Dodging my calls.
I hope he's listening.
The Lord introduces me to his boy,
the very next kid I meet.
Out of what? How many thousands of kids in Lloyd?
What's the odds? That happens every week in my life.
Well, you know,
way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way back,
I think it was episode 1.25.
This will be like 605 or something like that.
I interviewed this guy named Don Cherry.
I don't know if anybody's ever heard of him.
Like the hockey hero, Don Cherry?
Yeah.
Praise God, yeah.
That guy's awesome.
And you know, it's almost like you wipe,
you just like your brain turns off for a couple of seconds.
But I talk to him for, you know, I can't see him.
we did it like a phone call interview.
And, you know, like Don Cherry was a part of my family Christmas for like 20 years.
Rock him, sock him, every family Christmas.
A man of Cajunas, a real good guy.
And when you listen to his story, he goes from being, you know, a car salesman, unsuccessful.
And he says it in his own words of getting down on his knees and praying to God and saying,
is this all you got for me?
Is this what I'm going to be?
to, I think it's like, is it a month later?
Is it three weeks later?
But it is a short time later.
He's coaching Bobby Orr.
One of the greatest players to ever play the game, the Boston birds.
And yet, nobody, I didn't focus on that.
I just like, oh, yeah, that's nice.
But now I think about it.
I'm like, he literally has it as a part.
Like, isn't that wild?
It is a wild thing that nobody, you know,
and you see different athletes, different celebrities,
give thanks.
And yet society just kind of glacial, oh, yeah, okay, yeah, sure, sure.
But you got talent.
That's why you're where you're at.
And so.
How come guys that had twice as much talent never ended up there then?
The Lord's blessing on your life can do things you could never accomplish in your own.
And open doors you could have never opened with all the talent.
Well, I appreciate you coming in doing this.
Well, I think we've been like two hours.
We've been two hours, and what we're going to do, we've been over two hours,
what we're going to do, because the video is just, it's driving me nuts.
So I, okay, so both cameras have shut down now.
It's like, I just can't even win anymore with the cameras.
So to the audience, there has to be somebody out there who's brilliant with cameras
and is like, you should be doing this.
Because I'm annoyed with it to the point where I never want to have the cowboy pre-trainer ever again
until my cameras are fixed, and they will actually film this entire bloody thing
because it has now gone off both.
Mancamp now has the guys on the man camp team
that are capable of fixing your camera issues.
Okay, well, then maybe the guy that I need to talk to
is sitting across from me.
What we're going to do is we're going to pause here
and we're going to fire the cameras up
so that Substack can have some video
and we're going to put out of the substack as well.
So if you want to follow along with the rest of the conversation,
we've probably got 10 minutes left of Josh Allen,
the Cowboy Preacher, and we're going to flip over to Substack.
So give me, well, to the listener just come across, to Josh, I'm saying give me two minutes because we're going to fire the cameras back out.
So thanks for being in here.
We're heading over to Substack, folks.
