In the name Allah, the
God, the Alamian,
and Salat and Salat and Salam,
and to the Rassau of Hispah,
and allah, Aishaubh, and Aishe,
and Ahrmuth, and we're adhavis,
and we'llhueh, and we'llemann to-wechelah,
and we'llude by Allah,
from shirrude of our own of us,
for la Muddh, and who, you'rel to,
for la haudea, la Haudiella,
and we'llhah, and Allah,
and shhhrake, la, and I shhruh,
and Mhudh, and Abduh,
and our s'namu a laiqmah bribratu and brothers and sisters I pray that everyone is doing
well and I ask Allah saffana hua Tāla so we go as far our sins and our showcomings and
your grids of special mercy not only in this life but mainly in the next but brothers and sisters
we know that the hot season is approaching us and we know that the hijaja is approaching
us and one of the beautiful things about the hijaja is a time for renewal and a time
for commitment to a better self and one of the things in which I want to speak about
today is how every single one of us is going to go through moments in which we feel tired spiritually
we're going to go through moments in which we're going to go through moments in which we feel
as though our hearts are disconnected from allah we are distant from Allah we feel as though there's a
barrier between us and Allah suhpaniahua a while sometimes sins are going to pile up sometimes
that motivation is going to fade and our lives are going to become heavy but we may put a smile
on our face on the outside for everyone else on the inside we feel disconnected on the inside we feel
lost. One of the beautiful things about this month of the Hijja and about these first 10 days
is renewal and closeness to Allah, Sufanao, T'u, a lot of us feel that Ramadan high of I want
to continue striving and I want to, you know, I can't wait until that next Ramadan comes back
so I can do the same things or I can become better. But insh-in-shah, inshallah, we get the
chance to see next Ramadan. Instead of waiting until next Ramadan, you can use Dilhijja as a time
for renewal. And one of the things I want to speak about with renewal is your sins.
Allahehu and Hecurae in the Quran in the
name of allaheim.
Cooly,
not to be of rharmatil
byrhmathe
Allah,
and Allah,
y'affir the nubu jammia.
In Allah,
Godhawrhaughu'u't
say, do not despair in the mercy of Allah.
Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.
So no matter how far we have gone,
no matter how many mistakes we have made,
Allah,
Allah always gives us a chance to return.
And sometimes we think that we need to be perfect
in order for us to turn back to Allah,
And one of the things I spoke about before, not only just in my turning back to a law series,
but also in my re-infit yourself as Ramadan series and Ramadan series and many other things
I've spoken about was how turning back to Allah, Supperu-Talda doesn't need the perfect
opportunity, but it needs the opportunity of the heart and it needs sincerity from the heart.
You have to be sincere to turn back to Allah, Suhpanahu-Tal.
Because if you truly want to turn back to Allah, sopana-haw-ta-ta-a-ta-ta-a- Then that sincerity
has to be key and a sincerity will be there.
And many people say the things of
I have sin too much, I've wasted too many years,
I've fallen into too many sins
and I've made the same mistakes.
But remember, this is exactly what
the Shatana wants you to believe,
that you're too broken to return.
And Allah, Suu'u'u'u'u'u'a wants you to come back.
And the Prophet of Allah Allah al-a-a-a-a-a-a-ha-a-ha-ha-a-ha-a-ha-a-ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
is happier of his servant,
than a person, then a person who lost everything in the desert
and suddenly found it again.
So think about this.
Tala loves you to return to him and this is exactly what Raj represents for us all
whether or not you're going or not I want to make that point clear here before I
continue on whether or not you're going or not it makes it clear to us that millions
of people especially for those who are going are leaving behind their homes they're
leaving behind their comforts they're sacrificing their comforts they're
sacrificing their titles and their worldly distractions to answer the call of
Allah saffaniahuahua la beak Allah here I come oh Allah here I come and
is a reminder that our soul was created to return directly to Allah saffaniahu at
and the heart is the center of our connection with Allah so if the heart is alive then the
entire person changes which is why one of the things I spoke about in the chubma on the day
of Eid was to be a light if you don't know what that was about and hopefully you did watch it but if
you didn't watch it and you don't remember what it was about being a light which means continuing
to keep your heart alive in the sight of Allah safana hua jada because there are people who even up to
this day right now, their hearts might still be dead.
Even though they might be presently, they might be present in those times, their hearts may be
dead.
And their closeness to Allah, Sufana Hu, Allah, might be distant.
And they are searching for closeness to Allah, Suhpanao, and this is why we must constantly
renew our hearts through sara, through Quran, through Dikr, through Duker, through
repentance, and through good company.
And the more we remember Allah, Sufana, His Allah, the more.
our hearts will become alive again.
And Allah, Safanahua-Talah mentions this in the Quran in which he says,
barely in the remembers of Allah, do hearts find rest?
So during Haj, a believer leaves behind luxury, fashion, and status, and distractions.
Because everyone is wearing the same simple garments, both men and women.
You know, no one's wearing anything extravagant.
No one is, you know, no one has more extravagant things.
Because the rich and the poor are side by side.
And that is because Hajd strips you away.
from the dunya it reminds us that peace is not found in this dunya and the things that we have
return back to allah and also reminds us who we truly are before allah supranahu jada and one of the
things i want to mention as well is how we have to let go during this time especially in this time
of ahad we have to let go we have to let go of the sins we have to sacrifice those sins we have to
eliminate those toxic habits those harmful relationships laziness arrogance and even those things that
It might be pulling us away from Allah, Sufana, or Hu,
Zahala while we don't realize it.
So like I mentioned before,
it might be something like a TV show.
It might be something that we don't realize
that it could be bringing us away
from Allah supan or Hua'u'sada,
but it is.
And some of the habits that we have
that we may do during the day,
we may do it during the night.
We ask Allah to protect us off from those things.
So my brothers and sisters,
ensure that you are letting go
of those things that are bringing you away
from Allah, Sufana,
because if you look at the word growth,
it doesn't mean to get bigger,
but it means to sacrifice
that which is going to help you gain more
in the sight of Allah, Sufanao'u'u'adha.
And especially as Hajd teaches
sacrifice at every single step.
The believer sacrifices
comfort, sleep, wealth,
and the ease that they may
have for the sake of Allah suhpanao'u'hhada.
They travel in crowds, they face
exhaustion, and they endure
hardships.
And all of that is just to seek the mercy of
Allah, Sufanao'u'u'adda, and the forgiveness.
So if you truly want to seek the forgiveness
of Allah, it's not going to be as simple
you wake up and you have the forgiveness of Allah.
But sometimes it has to take sacrifice.
And when it comes to growth, you want to grow as a believer.
You want to become better.
You're on this journey every single moment.
You want to become better.
That growth is going to come from sacrifice.
Because if you're still doing those same things, you're not going to grow.
You're going to be stunted of that growth.
If you want to gain more closeness to Allah, Sufana hua Taha through your prayer.
But before prayer, you like to do things that might not be as pleasing to Allah,
to Allah, you have to sacrifice those things in order to gain closeness to Allah during your prayer.
And the day of Arafai is.
one of the greatest moments in Hajj during this particular journey and it's a day
of forgiveness it's a day of mercy it's a day of tears and it's a day of dua a day when
millions of us raise our hands in dua begging Allah suhpana hua ta'a for forgiveness
and the Prophetus Allah a laa a lai waslam said that there is no day on which
Allah frees more people from the hellfire then the day of Arafa so imagine standing there on
the day of Arafa with sincerity crying to Allah suhpana asking him
to forgive every single one of your sins
and renew your heart completely.
This is what our journey of Hajj should ultimately be,
whether or not we are there present with the pilgrims
or whether or not we are here at home.
Our journey should be to seek the forgiveness of Allah,
Sufana hua'u'u'u'a'a.
We should try to fast.
We try to get closest to Allah.
We should do anything that's going to bring us closer
to Allah, Sufana,hu, T'u'a'u'a'u'a.
And ultimately, one of the biggest things is taking small steps.
I want to mention this here as well.
because if you are trying to ultimately do all of this at once
you're trying to quit these different things,
it may be difficult.
But one of the things is that you have to try and go small.
Because one of the hadiths in which the Prophet of Allah
said is the most beloved deeds to Allah
are those that are done consistently, even if they are small.
So even the small deeds you're doing.
People want instant transformation.
They want to change overnight.
But Islam teaches us that consistency is key.
gonna change overnight no matter what it is if you're changing for good or you know
fortunately it's not going to happen overnight it happens gradually
the sheaton doesn't just you know he doesn't he doesn't do things overnight and it doesn't
happen overnight when it comes to changing and trying to do better it doesn't
happen overnight either so it comes to getting closest to allah supanahua giata
it doesn't happen overnight either i keep saying overnight but when it comes to
getting closeness to allah it takes small steps it takes one sincere sana it takes one sincere salad it takes
one sincere page of Quran, one sincere, you know, recitation of the Quran.
It takes one act of kindness, one sincere dua, one moment of repentance.
It is, you know, some of us actually underestimate small deeds.
And this is one of the things that Satan wants us to do is that, oh, you're giving this,
or you're doing this, this is too small.
But in the eyes of Allah, Supper and Hewet-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-it is worth all of that
and all of that we are doing.
So just remember my brothers and sisters that small deeds consistently can actually change our life.
So many brothers and sisters, Haj is a journey of renewal,
a journey from sin to forgiveness,
a journey from heedlessness to remembrance,
a journey from distraction to devotion,
a journey from this dunya back to Allah,
subhpani, His Allah.
Because maybe today is the day you start praying consistently.
Maybe today is the day in which you leave a sin,
because maybe today is the day in which you open the Quran again.
Maybe today is the day in which you sincerely ask Allah suhpaniahuata
forgiveness and he accepted from you,
because never think it is too late.
as long as you are breathing the door back to Allah,
Sufanahu,u, Tala is open.
So begin your journey back to Allah,
renew your heart, renew your intentions,
renew your closeness to Allah,
and renew your connection with Allah,
subhpanihu,u, Tala.
My dear brothers and sisters,
we ask Allah,
to allow for us to witness
the blessed days of Hajj.
We ask Allah, Sufanau,
to accept the haj of those who are going
and the intention of those who wanted to go,
and we ask Allah,
to grant us all the ability to go.
We ask Allah, Sufānahu,
to renew our heart,
with iman, forgive our sins and our shortcomings
and make us amongst those who consistently
turn and return back to Allah,
Almighty, Amen, and after
to that one, and al-hambul-lilah,
Rabblameen.
