Assalamu alaqmati ala and
my brothers and sisters.
I pray that everyone is doing well and I ask Allah,
Sufanahu, Tala, to forget us for our sins and our shortcomings
into grants to special mercy, not only in this life, but mainly in the next,
to send his peace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad
Sallu al-a-a-a-a-a-a-slam and his
umma and his companions and his family and those who follow along
his blessed and righteous path until the day of resurrection.
And we ask Allah, Suhpana-Hu-Ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a to make us amongst those ameen.
We ask Allah, Sufano, His Allah, to place barraka within this blessing.
And we ask, barraka, sorry, not barraka with this blessing,
barra within this, this talk, and barra within this gathering.
And just as Allah, Sufanohu, His Allah has gathered us here today,
we ask Allah, to gather us all in gentle for those al-a'a'a'a in the highest level directly next to him.
I mean, my dear brothers and sisters,
today I want to speak about a very profound aspect of our faith.
And it is among one of the seven beliefs that we have to have,
and that is the belief in Allah supaniahu atala that is the belief in the angels and
inshallah we'll go on to the rest of the five but one of the most important ones to have as
well is belief in the day of resurrection belief in the day of judgment and we know that the day
of judgment is a significant event in Islamic belief and among those are the seven right and I'll
use my hands like I can't have the other hand occupied with the microphone but we have the
oneness of Allah,
so on our whole
we have the
Malaika,
we have the
kutub,
we have the
Rsul,
we have the
Kiyam,
right?
We have
Kader and we
have Achra.
So we have
first off,
we have the belief
in Allah
Sufana Haueta
we have the
belief in the
angels, we have
belief in the books,
we have belief
in the prophets,
we have belief
in the day of
resurrection,
we have belief
in divine
decree and we have
belief in
the life after
death, the
a khaira.
These are seven beliefs that we have to have.
And this is a time on the day of resurrection in which everybody will be held to account for everything that they have done.
And it is a time of immense importance as described in the Quran as I just recited to the Shal Shia.
And specifically, when it comes to the Sura, the Sura provides us with the imagery that, actually a very vivid imagery of the day of resurrection.
And it serves as a reminder for us of the consequences of our actions in this.
this world, both the good consequences and the bad consequences.
You know, the good consequences can be the consequences that lead to paradise and the bad
consequences can be those that lead to the hellfire.
We ask Allah, to protect us all.
Now to start off, I mean, by the way, but to start off, the Sibhahu Ghashiyah starts with a
question to all of us.
Bismu'll-uhmane-rahim.
Has the story of the overwhelming gashiyah, the event, come to you?
What is this event? This event is the day of resurrection is the day of judgment.
And the rhetorical question actually invites us to reflect on the gravity of the day of judgment.
And the term gawshia refers to the overwhelming event that will envelop humanity,
emphasizing the seriousness of this day and when all will be gathered before Allah,
Sufana, or His Allah. And the Sura continues to describe
the fate of the disbelievers and the believers. And just look at how the pairing is.
Allah, Sufano, He doesn't just have a, he doesn't just mention in a Sura, just the disbelievers, just the believers.
Even we think about those are Muminun.
What does Allah, Sufana, Heru Tala mention?
Kada'a aflah el-muninu.
Successful in leader are the believers.
And then 11 ayes later, what does he say?
He says, but those who disbelieve, they have gained my wrath.
He speaks about the disbelievers.
He is going, he's going and putting these two together.
He's saying the believers and a disbelievers.
He's saying,
What you get if you do good, what you get if you do bad.
What you get if you believe, what you get if you don't believe.
What you get if you obey and what you get if you deny and if you disobey.
So, Allah, subpoenaed how it tares the believers and the disbelievers together.
And specifically for the disbelievers, he paints a picture of the torment and the suffering that they will go through.
And Allah, Suu, Suu, Allah, Allah,
mentions this in Sultu Ghashia.
He says,
He says, wujuh, y'am aidin-hashia.
says they will be in a state of fear and anxiety with their faces humbled.
So the imagery serves as a warning for us to remain steadfast in our imman and steadfast in our faith
and to avoid actions that will lead us to such a fate like the disbelievers.
And we also have to remember that in contrast, the Sura, like I said, describes the reward as well
awaiting the believers.
And what is Allah supran hu ta'all say, he says, and for those who believe in do righteous deeds,
there will be a reward uninterrupted.
There will be jinnatil to Ferdas.
Now, like I said in the beginning,
we ask Allah, Sufana-ahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
When it comes to this point,
Allah, Sophano-hah-hout
off by mentioning the disbelievers
or what you get if you do not believe,
what you get if you say,
I turn away from your message completely,
and what you get if you associate
partners with Allah-Safah-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-and-a-a-and-he
that and mentions the believers and the reward that they will get and the promise of eternal bliss for us is a self of hope and motivation because we want to be like those who are in the presence of Allah supana and this is exactly why it also helps us to strive for righteousness in our daily lives no matter what we are doing now the title of this talk is how to be a light on the day of resurrection or be a light on the day of resurrection now we actually spoke about this before this was be a light after Ramadan
I want to mention this again.
When it comes to being a light, so far, since we are about to hit al-Qaeda, inshallah,
look at how you've been so far.
How have you been so far since you have ended, you know, your Ramadan.
It's been 24 days, you know, or 24, 5 days, sorry, after Ramadan now if you're going off Shawal.
It would be 25 days since Ramadan has ended.
How have you changed?
What have you better?
What have you kept consistent?
How have you faltered?
What can you do better?
and what have the angels said about you?
What have the angels said about you?
How do you think the angels see you now?
Distinguishable or indistinguishable?
And on the day of resurrection,
you want to be among those who are distinguishable.
When the angels say,
oh, yeah Allah, this person right here,
they are light, they're illuminating
rather than the person who's the rather than the angels,
saying, yeah, Allah, there is no one there, right?
And wondering who is this person who has a, you know,
mince darkness around them. They cannot see where they are in this area, in this beautiful time,
in this time. And this is a very beautiful thing I want to mention as well.
First, I want to start with sincerity in our worship, but I ask Allah, Sufano, Herodal to protect us all
and grant us all light in this life and in hereafter. I mean, the first thing I said I wanted to
mention was sincerity in your Ibadah. And all of our acts of worship should be to please
Allah, Supperanahua and Allah alone. And the Prophet of Allahe al-a-a-u-salam said,
in the man muwa'il bin ni'a. He said, actions are judged by intentions. So when you actually strive
to purify your intentions, then our deeds become a source of light that will illuminate our path
on the day of judgment. And the Prophet of Allah a. He waslam also emphasized kindness and
compassion when he said, the merciful are shown mercy by the merciful. So when you're being
compassionate to others, we're not only just fulfilling an obligation as Muslims, but rather we're
creating a positive impact on the world around us.
And also that kindness will be a source of light for us on the day of resurrection.
The third thing I want to mention, and the final thing, is our commitment to justice,
upholding justice for our brothers and sisters and even for ourselves,
because it's a very fundamental principle in Islam.
And Allah, Sufana Huatara mentions that specifically.
And he says to be just, even if it's against yourself or your loved ones.
So standing up for what's right, even if it's against yourself or your loved one,
and being just, we become beacons of light in this world when there is darkness,
and we become beacons of light in the hereafter when there is also darkness.
So the point I want to mention, my brothers and sisters,
as we continue to reflect upon Sartuqal, she has a very beautiful Sura.
You have to remember the importance of being a light on the day of resurrection,
and the imagery, the imagery of the overwhelming event serves as a reminder of the accountability
that we will face.
And by when you embody that sincerity, that kindness, that justice, that justice, that
humility and that closeness to Allah Sufaniahu at all that you ensure that we are among
those who receive Allah so upon our who will receive His kindness and his love and his
compassion and he grants us that light and we ask Allah to grant us all light and we should
actually strive to be lights that guide ourselves and others towards righteousness
not only just in this world but in shallah and the next we ask Allah saffina
our who it's a grant us the strength to be steadfast in our Eman and in our faith and to act
in ways that please him and we
we ask Allah, Suhanna-a-a-a-a-a-a to make us among those who will be rewarded
eternally with the bliss of genital for those al-a'al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-hae'a-a-a-a'háphaelei-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a suiiii to offer
ad-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aa-a-a-aa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
