Build a strong relationship with Allah now so you’ll have it when you’re in hardship. We as people need companionship in life, but how about the lord of the heavens and the earth and master of the... day of judgement? We don’t just need Allah for ease and for this world, but we need Allah for ease and hardship in not only this world but also the next. We have to start prioritizing Allah before anything, and we need to build a relationship with him before it’s too late and our time runs out.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sheikh-uthman-hadi--6689369/support.https://sheikhuthmanhadi.beam.ly

Starting point is 00:00:00 Bismillah, Rahman, and a hand to Allah, God al-Alamy, and Salathe, and Allahe and Allahe and allaheufi and hishabi and man-wala. Assalam and
Starting point is 00:00:11 al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a my dear brothers and for taking the time out of your day to come and listen, and I would like to ask Allah supanahua-ta-a-ta-a to place baraka within our hearts and within this talk.
Starting point is 00:00:28 and I ask Allah suprana-ho-ta-a-da to forgive me if I if I say anything wrong and I ask Allah to forgive us for all of our sins or our shortcomings and grant us mercy in this life and in the next life I mean so my dear brothers and sisters a topic that I would like to cover today is building a connection and relationship with Allah sabahahahahahahah you know sometimes we think that building a relationship with the law comes from your sala, it just comes from you performing vicar, and it comes from your sala or your dua. But building a connection with Allah, subhanna, hua, ta'ala comes from a multitude of things,
Starting point is 00:01:13 and most of the time it comes from all of them, but it mainly comes from focus and dedication to building a connection with Allah, subhanna, and sometimes we think that we need Allah supanahua ta a la only in times of hardship but we need to rely upon Allah in times of ease and hardship as for if we rely on Allah in times of ease he will be there for us in times of hardship and you know we think about how in this life we are going to need companionship
Starting point is 00:01:46 we have friends and family members and people who are within our circles and people who are our friends but the one entity the one creator who created our friends and our family, he created us and created everything within the seven heavens and everything in between and everything below it and created the entire universe. He created everything. We do not have companionship with him. We imagine how we ask Allah, subhanna, His Allah, to enter us in the paradise and for us to be in close relationship with him in the next life. But how can we be in close relationship with him?
Starting point is 00:02:25 relationship with him in the next life and we are not in close relationship with him in this life. And what's most important is to realize that we need to start as believers, as Muslims, as people of faith and people who believe in Allah subhpanihu and a while to prioritize
Starting point is 00:02:43 him first. You know, we cannot say, oh, this is more important than Allah. This is more important than Allah because if we put Allah subhannahuahua second, then we will never be able to achieve anything. And we have to start with our iBada. And then we have to work on the connection to Allah, suhanna, hua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. Because if we can make time for our friends and
Starting point is 00:03:08 our family members, if we can make time for our neighbors and people in our community, but we cannot make time for Allah-Supana-a-a-a-a-a-a-la who put those people in our life, who allow for us to do the things that we do, and who even put us here, then we have all lost it. because Allah subhahua-ta-a-a-a-a-la is the best of companions to have and when I said
Starting point is 00:03:33 start with your i bada I don't mean prayer I mean start with your i mean start with your ibaida start with your prayer start with your sala start with your dikr start with your dua start with your remembrance of him
Starting point is 00:03:47 because when you remember allah suhanna hua-ta-a-a-la it is easier to have a connection to him and one thing that I do want us I want us to all understand is building a connection to Allah subhahua ta a lot is not going to be easy but building a connection to Allah subhahua ta a lot is easier if we start it's easier if we start now we can't expect to be in the next life and have a very tight and close relationship with Allah when all we did was calling him with hardship, you know.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And sometimes that hardship is not really hardship. You know, like sometimes it would be like, oh, I left, I forgot the remote. Oh, man, I lost the remote somewhere. It's under the chair. I lost the remote. Where is it? And then you're like, yeah, Allah, please allow for me to find this remote. But 10 seconds ago when you had it, you weren't thinking about that, you know?
Starting point is 00:04:43 And it's little things that happen that make you like, oh, I just need to go ahead and call upon Allah. and sometimes it is something very big that happens whether that is you get into a car accident whether this happens or whether that happens you call upon Allah but we should call upon Allah at all times we should try to ask of Allah subhupana hua Tala and build a connection with Allah before these things
Starting point is 00:05:08 we build a connection with him during times of ease not during times of hardship because when you build a connection with Allah supana hua Tala during times of ease it is easier to call upon him in times of hardship. And most likely, Allah,
Starting point is 00:05:25 is always listening. But Allah, will always be there for you. And if you ask of Allah and you try to build that connection during times of ease and there is no difficulties, when you are in times of hardship,
Starting point is 00:05:40 Allah supana hua ta a lao'a a la is he will be there instantly. And, you know, I want to bring this point to you. And something that I had to bring to myself as well. And that is, as you talk to a friend or a family member or a neighbor or a companion that you might have, one thing that we have to start doing is always talking to Allah, suhanna, hua-ta-a-la. As we, as humans, never make time for Allah, and in turn never include Allah in anything.
Starting point is 00:06:16 And what I mean by that is that when we are having a conversation amongst a conversation, amongst each other. If we were saying, oh, yeah, we're talking about this game, or we're talking about doing this, or we're talking about doing that, we're never including Allah. We're never saying, yeah, subhanna-we're never saying, yeah, you know, it was Allah who did this. It was Allah who helped me.
Starting point is 00:06:34 It was Allah who guided me to this. We're never doing that. We're just having a regular conversation about whatever the case might be. But we never take the time in the true meaning and understanding to realize that Allah, subhananahua, and a. should be made time for. We should not be just making four minutes for Allah, eight minutes for Allah.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Oh, let me go ahead and pray. So that's with Fudder. All right, I prayed. All right, let me go on about my day. Let me go to work. Let me go do this. Let me go do that. But instead, I pray with Fudger,
Starting point is 00:07:04 let me sit here for the next 30 minutes. Or even if you can't sit there for that time, even if you have to pray and then directly after you have to go to work, say, okay, supon Allah. First off, when I wake up in the morning, I'm going to wake up earlier. If prayer comes in at such and such time, I'm going to wake up an hour before that time. And during that time, I'm going to remember Allah.
Starting point is 00:07:27 I'm going to get my heart purified and ready to talk to Allah, Sufana, hu, and a ta a lot. And then you say, okay, afterward, I have to go to work, I have to do that, perform vicar, make do I, remember Allah. Listen to his words, read his words on your way to work or school or whatever the case might be. and don't be a shame that you have a connection with Allah subhannahua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a is more beneficial for you than anything in this life and there is something that I want to also bring up here and that is
Starting point is 00:08:09 since he is the main reason that we are Muslim and that we are still alive. We should be thanking him for these things. We should be thanking him. We should be grateful and we should have a deep sense of gratitude to Allah, subhahana, hua-a-a-a-a-a-la, realizing that he is the only one who is allowing for us to breathe, to move, to walk, to do these things. He's allowing for our bodily functions to happen while we're not thinking about it. I'm sitting here talking and you're sitting here looking at me. But none of us are control.
Starting point is 00:08:50 our eyes. None of us are controlling our hearts. None of us are controlling any part of our body. You just imagine that there are trillions of cells that make up a cell within of trillions of more cells that continue to make up your body. You do not create that and you do not control that. But Allah, suhphanahua ta a. controls all that and we should be thanking Allah for that we should be grateful for that because that is only something that comes from him that is not something of my doing that's not something of your doing that is something of
Starting point is 00:09:29 Allah subhahua Tala doing that he has allowed that he has created that he has made for us and one thing I also want us to realize a key factor here when building relationships with Allah suhanna hua Tala is to not destroy them so do not destroy your relationship between you and Allah for two reasons. And these two reasons are very prominent reasons. The first reason, because others try to drive you away from Allah. You know, if you have a friend or a family member or someone who is trying to drive you away from Allah, subhanahua, ta'a.
Starting point is 00:10:08 You should be trying to drive away from them. Because these people are the people that will lead you into the hellfire in the next life. it might seem as if they are good people but on its face they're not truly they're not and you do not want to be around these people as the Prophet of Allah a a ariwa adiw salem has told us that you will become of the people who you stay around
Starting point is 00:10:32 you will become of the company you are around the second reason because you get connected to sinning and do not repent as Allah subhaniana-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-la said he loves those who repent. And one of the most beloved of Acts to Allah, subhannahu, and Allah is repentance.
Starting point is 00:10:56 So repent to Allah. And if you get connected to sinning, this is where it comes to having a connection to Allah, talking to Allah, asking of Allah. Allah, subhanna-ta-a-a-want-a-want-a-ww wants to be asked of. Allah, Sufahana-ha-ta-a-a-a-a-ha wants to hear us, asking upon him. But we have to remember
Starting point is 00:11:19 that these two factors are true factors that can lead us away from Allah, including committing shark, that can also lead us away from a walsupaina, Hewatha'u'u'u'a. And when we get to this point where we
Starting point is 00:11:35 feel as if we are being led away, there's only one true explanation for that. And that is a shaitan. And sometimes we wonder, why do continue sinning? Why do I continue doing this? Why does my amen seem so low? And one of those reasons is because of your connection to Allah. Your connection with Allah is not tight. It's loose. It's just floating. And you have allowed the shatan to get in there and mess with things
Starting point is 00:12:07 and do things to you. And now you turn around on the flip side and you're like, why can't I get close to Allah. Why am I missing my Salah? Why am I not making dua? Why is it that after I pray, if I do pray, why is it that after I pray, I perform my thicker for a couple of minutes and I get caught talking or I don't perform thicker at all? Why is it that I cannot remember Allah? I cannot learn his words. And this is one of the reasons why it is also very important to be around good company.
Starting point is 00:12:42 to ensure that your company is a company that is going to bring you closer to Allah, to Allah, Suhpahahua, Allah. Not one that's going to take you away. So my dear brothers and sisters, never forget Allah for the moment that you do, that could be your last moment with him in this life and in the next life. And I pray that Allah, Allah, grants us all the ability to have a relationship with him. I pray that Allah, Sufano, Hecala, forgives us for our sins and our shortcomings and allows for us to always be with him in this life and in the next life. I pray that Allah, Sipanahua, Lorda, grants us the ability to realize the wrongs we have done
Starting point is 00:13:28 and repent for them before it is too late. Dizakum Allah for listening. and asaamu. And, alaqmata, and, of allah, and, al-harmatulah, and al-havdhallyh, and al-dhallylal.
