Bismillah and Rahman and Raheim.
Asanao alaqa and alaqa
All rightes due to Allah,
Svanahu and Tala, the one who sent down the Quran
is a guidance for mankind,
a light and times of darkness and a healing for the hearts.
We send peace and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad,
and His family and the companions,
the ones who live the Quran with every breath.
My dear brothers and sisters,
today I want to speak to you about something
deeply personal and profoundly important.
How to connect the Quran to your heart, no matter what your situation might be.
Whether you're going through hardship or ease, whether your faith is strong or you're struggling,
the Quran is always there for you.
And in shah Allah ta'ala today in this talk, we will cover six basic things and six basic sections of how to connect to the Quran.
connect your heart to the Quran.
So,
inshallah,
starting with the first one.
That is,
the Quran is for every situation.
Allah,
subhannahu
Tala says in the Quran,
indeed the Quran
guides to that
which is most upright.
And this is
Surah 17,
aya 9.
This ayah,
this verse is timeless.
It doesn't say
it only guides
the righteous
or only the scholars.
It says it guides,
period.
Not a guide.
special people, not it guides low people it guides everyone it just guides period and
that includes those who are lost those who are hunting they're hunting for
something they're trying to find something those who have fallen into sin like
all of us some worse than others I pray that Allah subpoens Allah forgives us all for
our sins I mean the Prophet so Allah a la He wasa
said the best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it he didn't
say the best are the perfect ones.
He said the best are those who engage with the Quran.
So through learning and sharing,
that can be you.
Right now in any state.
It doesn't matter.
As long as you have knowledge of the Quran,
as long as you have knowledge of Allah,
subhanna hua'u'a'u'a's book, that can be you.
And even when you're struggling,
and this is the second point,
and inshallah, we will understand all of them,
even when you're struggling, especially then, do you want to have a connection to the Quran?
And some people think, I'm not religious enough to read the Quran, or I've made too many mistakes,
but Allah addresses this in the Quran.
And he says, in Surah 39, I have 53, he says, all my servants who have transgressed against themselves by sinning,
do not despair of the mercy of Allah, subhanna, and God.
Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.
Ayah 39, Parasota 39, I have 53.
And don't wait until you feel worthy to approach the Quran.
The Quran is what makes you worthy.
It brings you back.
It purifies your heart.
And it reminds you of who you are and who your Lord is.
If you remember the last talk, we talked about your purpose,
what is that thing that brings you back to your purpose is?
Does anybody know?
It's the Quran.
to the Quran.
The Prophet
Allah Allah
Allah Allah
told us
barely the
hearts
are between
two fingers
of the
fingers of
Allah
he turns
them
wherever
he wills
this means
no one's
heart is stuck
your
spiritual state
can change
if you
turn to
Allah in his
book
and the
third
point I want to
make here
is to
start
with
a little, but stay consistent.
The Prophet of Allah
Haleu'llu'll bea
a very beautiful principle.
The most beloved deeds to Allah
are those that are consistent,
even if they are small. Even if you
read one ayah a day with
reflection and sincerity that is beloved
to Allah, even if you're just
listening to the Quran,
even if you're reading the translation
while trying to understand what Allah
is saying to you, it all counts.
Because a little bit,
get you to a bigger picture. You know, if you're making one dollar every single day for 365 days,
it seems as if one day you're just, you've made the smallest amount ever. But by that 365th day,
guess what, guess how much you made? You've made $365. That's a big amount. It went from being
$1 to $365 over a point of a year. You start little, but you stay consistent. You don't go
$1 one day, skip five months later. Then you do.
four dollars and that's not how it works you have to be consistent every single day read the
korean daily and this ties into inshallah a little bit of our next point and that is the korean is a
healing and the korean is a healing in mercy it's healing and mercy it's hsapha'n a hua ta alexa
describes the korean as and we sent down of the korean that which is
in mercy for the believers.
This here is Sura 17, Ayah 82.
And again, in Surah Yunus,
Allah,
Allah, says,
O mankind, there has come to you
instruction from your Lord and healing
for what is in the breast.
This is Surat 10,
a 57.
Are you anxious, you know, sad, confused,
guilty, hopeless?
the Quran addresses every one of those feelings.
It doesn't ignore your pain.
It heals it.
It's as if the Quran is talking to you,
but it's not talking to you.
But it is.
It's talking to your heart.
It's talking to your spiritual being.
It's not talking to you physically.
It doesn't have a mouth to talk to you with.
It doesn't have eyes to see you and look at your problem and say he's sad.
He's crying right now.
It can't tell that.
but it connects to you spiritually
because who wrote the book
who made the book only one
made the book the only one
and that is Allah saffano and what I just said
ties into our fifth point
which is let the Quran speak to you
directly and I encourage you
to try something very simple
before opening the Quran
say oh Allah
let me find what I need
let this ayah be a message
to me, a healing for me, and a mercy for my soul. I mean. And you'll be amazed at how personal the
Quran can feel. There have been countless times that I've been going through anything in my life
and I go and I pick up the Quran. And now all of a sudden, I'm like, man, so upon what I think
that this just solved my problem. It's as if the Quran is like it already knew my problem.
It's like it already knew our problem. It's already knew my problem.
We have to follow the Quran. It is a part of our daily life.
that we should be following.
And this ties to our sixth and final point,
inshallah, and that is, our Prophet,
sallah, Allah, Allah, Aliyah, lived the Quran.
When Aisha, Bili Allah, Anha,
was asked about the character of the prophet
sallah, he was Sallam.
She said his character was the Quran.
His character was the Quran.
So if you want to connect to the Quran,
look at how he, he,
sallu a lehi waslam treated others how he was patient in trials how he forgave how he worship how he made
dua he didn't just read the korean he became a walking korean and so we can and we can follow that
in our own lives we don't have to be a righteous prophet in order to try and be in trying follow the korean
We don't have to be.
We don't.
We absolutely do not have to be a righteous person, a prophet, a messenger.
We don't have to be someone who has extremely wealthy.
We don't have to be any of these things.
Because I promise you, I'm not extremely wealthy.
And I read the Quran and it seems as if it helps me with every last one of our problems.
Guess what?
We all make mistakes.
I sin too.
We think about that.
I send as well.
Every person does.
I don't care if it's the most righteous person.
I don't care if it's a scholar.
they sin as well i don't care what it is i don't care who it is when you read the korean
it's a direct message from allah suhahua to your soul to you and it's as if no matter what you do
you're like you know what i'm gonna start from the beginning of the korean like you know there are
times that i go i just flip to a random sara and i start reading i be like small that's exactly
what i need to hear but you're going you'll be like you know what i'm going to read from the
beginning of the koreen and you start with sura fatia and it's like that's exactly what i need to hear and
It's like, you can't get away from it.
You don't want to get away from it.
But it's the fact of the realization that how is this happening?
How is this working?
How is this affecting my heart?
How is this penetrating my soul?
And it's the fact that this is Allah's book.
My dear brothers and sisters,
the Quran is not just for scholars or in Ramadan.
It's not just for the mastiff.
It's not just for after you, before you pray to Torah,
after you pray Torah.
It's none of that.
is for your heart.
And your heart needs it now.
Whatever your situation is,
we all have a situation that we're going through,
no matter what the case is.
And whether you're feeling close to Allah or distant,
whether you're full of hope or full of regret,
regret,
you can always reconnect.
The Quran is not a book.
You study once and leave.
It's a lifelong companion.
I remember when I was
studying specifically for certain things in
you know, Arabic or
certain things in Islamic knowledge.
And you study and it's like, okay, you finish.
Maybe you've read it two or three times. Okay, cool.
You finish it and it's like done.
Once you finish it, most likely you're not going to continue going back
and reading those books unless you have a question unless you want to just go back
and read it.
But those books don't talk to you.
When you go to study a book,
you go to study most books that teach you about Islam,
they don't just they don't they don't talk to you personally they don't talk about your situation
that they're going through but the Quran has been written by the creator of the universe
by someone who created the human beings who created our souls who created us to do our different
things in the things that we do and Allah supanahua la never makes a mistake he never makes a mistake
so my dear brothers and sisters remember that connecting with the Quran
isn't for just scholars, it's not for just pious people.
It's not just for people who are at lower terms than, quote, unquote, we are.
It's for everyone.
It's for all of humanity.
It's not just for Muslims.
It's not just for believers.
It's for everyone.
Everyone.
