My dear brothers and sisters.
Today I want to talk about a topic that is fundamental and important within our faith and within our belief and our religion.
My brothers and sisters, developing good al-a-chalach is very important, not only in this life, but in the next life, but mainly in the sight of Allah,
of Allah, supranahua.
Developing good
ethnic is not just about your prayer.
It's not just about how you treat
others. It is about your entire
existence. It's about your life.
It's about how you carry yourself.
You know, how you should be nice to
believers, non-believers, people
who like you, people who do not like you.
You know, you should not
want to be that argumentative
type of person who wants to always argue.
You should be a type of person who wants to settle
things. You should be a type of person
who was like the Prophet's Allah a
Allah a He was
If there was
anything that would be happening
The Prophet of Allah a He waslam
would be settled
If there is any argument
He would stop it
But he is not going to get engaged
In that argument
Or he is not going to be the one
To start an argument
And the Prophetus Allah
Aliu'll be sullam showed this
With his good-ahelak
And Allah subhapana
Heh Tala says in the Quran
Indeed you are a great
moral character
This is Sura 68
I afford. So I want to explore how being and having good al-Aklak embodies in our lives.
So the first thing I want us to understand is what good al-aq-lach actually means. So good
aq-a-lach refers to our moral character or our behavior and our conduct towards others. Believers or not.
You know, we should not treat believers differently than we treat non-believers except in our faith and except in Islamic or our
religious aspect and as the promise of Allah a
vaniwa has said the most beloved people of Allah or the most beloved of people to
Allah are those who have the best character when we exhibit good character we
are we are not only please Allah subana what's but create a positive and great
environment around us so it it shows our love respect and understanding within
our communities so I want us to realize that everything we do
do should be based off of our good
achalach. It should be based off of the
pleasure of pleasing Allah suhphanahahua
D'a. We should realize that
yes, I'm going to make mistakes throughout
my time. I'm going to do different things that
may not be pleasing to Allah suhphanahua
but we have to remember that
having good alchal is a main
number one essential of
a belief. If you do not have good alchak
then your prayers, your
joas, any of those things that you ask
for will not be accepted.
And what a chelahelah does not just mean being
kind and being loving and respecting animals and people but it means also not having any arrogance
within your heart having good character is also a reflection of how you are so you know you have
different attributes that show how you are such as mercy and compassion and we should we should we should
strive to emulate in our interactions with others and i want to also bring to you the fact that
As believers, when we meet a person, we should not be rude to them.
Even if they were rude to us, we should still be nice to them.
Even if they called us words and they called us these different names or whatever, they said to us,
we should still be nice to these people.
Why?
Because it is a means of good achlac and remembrance of Allah,
Allah, Supperah, and Allah, the Prophet, Sallah, was known for his kindness,
and he, Sallah, a while He said, the merciful are shown mercy by the merciful.
so simple acts of kindness like a smile or a helping hand can go a long way in improving our
our character in the lives of those who are around us so life for us as believers is full of test
and we know that but having good achlac is a means of purifying ourselves as a means of purifying
the people around us is a means of showing that Allah supranahua has tested me with something
They're giving me something.
But instead, I'm going to be calm with that.
I'm going to say, you know what?
Allah's placed me with a test.
My good achalach should show.
My good character should show through.
If someone is being, you know, they're being aggressive, driving on the road.
I should not be aggressive to them.
Because guess what?
What is that?
What type of al-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-hach is that?
You are representing the type of Muslim you are.
And sometimes your good-ah-hlach could be that
which helps other people embrace us.
and become Muslim.
So if you are treating disbelievers wrongly, you should not be doing that.
Because that good al-a-h-h-h-lach, that good character that you show them, could be a means
of purification for yourself, of your sins and your shortcomings.
But it could also be a means of reward for you in the next life by Allah, Suhphanahua-Tal.
And seeking forgiveness is very important because as Muslims, as believers, we are going to make mistakes.
It is natural to make mistakes in acknowledging our faults and seeking for you.
forgiveness from Allah supanahua
Tala is very important.
And those who have wronged,
who we have wronged is crucial.
We must remember that forgiveness
from those people is also a good sign of good achlac.
And another thing I want to remind us
is surrounding ourselves with good company.
Surround yourself with people
who are working on good character.
Surround yourself with people who have practiced
their good character.
They are practicing that good character.
Do not surround yourself with people who are trying to bring you away from having good character
or they're making you do things that are not pleasing to Allah, Sufana, and Hew-da-ha.
And remember that the people we associate ourselves with can afflict our character.
And the Prophet of Allah, Allah, Hewshu'll have said, a person is upon the religion of his close friend.
So let that be a reminder that if we are going to be.
be close to people, we must be close to people who are going to help better us.
And we must be people who are going to help better them, as we cannot better someone else,
but not allow for them to help better us.
So my dear brothers and sisters, but achlach is a personal trait.
It is a trait that we must attain by remembrance of Allah,
Supperahua ta a by, um, it is a, it is a trait in which we must always have as
believers.
And we must always remember that no matter what happens,
Our good a ch'achlac is a means of purification, is a means of love, it is a means of respect.
It is a means of kindness to showing to other people and is a means of reward for Allah,
Suhphanahua'u'u'a'u'a.
He will reward those people who have good achlac.
So remember, every small act counts.
As we work on our achlac, let us make dua for guidance and strength to uphold these values.
And the last thing I do want to say about good aphlac here, and I've said a lot of times here,
but one of the things I want to say here about having good character is remember that you are going to make mistakes.
You are going to make mistakes and you're going to be faced with trials and tests.
Allah is not going to make it easy for you.
And if you ask Allah, Suprana H. Tala to make you a better character, to allow for you to be a person of good character, a person who worships Allah, a person who allows for other people to help them with their character or a person who does not have ignorance or a person who is not arrogant or a person who is kind and they are forgiving and they are merciful, we must remember that Allah suprana hua ta a reward these people.
And the way in which Allah,
Allah will reward us is not the way in which we think.
We think our character is going to be rewarded by praise.
But it's not.
Sometimes it will not be rewarded by that.
Sometimes it will be rewarded by a test.
It will say, OK, you have good character.
OK, let's test it.
Let's see how good your character truly is.
Let's see if you're meaningful of wanting good character.
And Allah's upon how it will test us with that.
So I ask Allah to grant us the ability
to embody good character and make us a wonderful.
who are beloved to you.
Amen.
And I hathur,
an adieu al-haphano-lil-llah
and all right of the aurek bylain and alaikum and ramaaum and the ramatollah and
