Starting point is 00:00:00 Bismillah, and Rahman, and al-hameh, al-hawal-a-hameh, and al-Rasolidhā, and al-Alihah, and a'a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a aishaaaaa aishaa and s'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I pray that everyone is doing well, and I ask Allah, Suhanna, and God, to figure out for our sins, our shortcomings, a goodness and special mercy,
Starting point is 00:00:18 not only in this life remaining in the next. My brothers and sisters, we now have approximately, inshallah, in this month of Ramadan, so we ask Allah, to accept it from us and to allow for us to allow for us to
Starting point is 00:00:30 see the last night and to witness these last nights and use them beneficially and ensure that we are engaging in the remembrance of Allah and use these blessed nights to perform as much of Dhikr as we can. And this is something a specific I want to speak about today when it comes to the Dhikr of the heart, right? And especially in these last night's the dkir of the heart. So when it comes to Dhikr, I want us to think of vikr not as a ritual, but rather as a heartfelt and sincere engagement with Allah,
Starting point is 00:00:57 Sama, and His Allah. We spoke about toba and how it's a means of purifying our hearts and our souls and our relationship with Allah. Well, Dhikr does the same. Thicker purifies our hearts and our souls and purifies our tongue as well. Because how many of us engage in conversations that are not pleasing to Allah? Because our tongues are wet with the wrong remembrance of Allah. It's not remit with any remembrance of Allah. Which is why I've quoted a hadith before when the Prophet of Allah al-Sah-Sah-Sah-Wu-Sah-W-Sah-W-Sah-W.
Starting point is 00:01:24 So ensure that your vicar is keeping your tongue wet. that you're ensuring that you're always repeating this. And the remembrance of Allah, subhallah, supranah, but it can also be Quran as well as that is also a form of likr and remembrance of Allah. And the province of Allah al-a-h-hu-Salam said and emphasized the importance of remembering Allah in various Hadiths.
Starting point is 00:01:46 In one such hadith, he stated that our Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night and ask, who is calling upon me so that I may answer him? Who is asking of me so that I may give him? And who was seeking my forgiveness so that I may forgive him. So while we continue on throughout these last three nights, inshallah, and these last ten nights of the month of Ramadan,
Starting point is 00:02:08 I do want us to recognize the significance of not only those last nights of Ramadan, but also the dicker that should be emphasized throughout these nights, which is why the Prophet of Allah a day, which is why the Prophet of Allahe O'Dahiwist and encourage us to seek later to Kudr on every single night, in the last ten nights, specifically on the odd number of nights, as you know, Allah's subunewal describes it in the Quran
Starting point is 00:02:30 as being better than a thousand months right? And when it comes to here I want us to also realize that when we engage in Dhikr, we should be trying to remember
Starting point is 00:02:38 Allah and we should do it out of sincerity and with devotion, right? So that can take many forms. Rshading the Quran making Duraa or simply reflecting on Allah Sufāāna which is
Starting point is 00:02:49 exactly why we've mentioned this Hadith Bufu when Aisha already Allah andha asked the Prophet of Allah what to say if she knew was laid us of cadir. He advised her.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Allah, I'm, in mehaw and to have the afwa fa'a'an'n me. Right? That, oh, Allah, if you go through certain translations, it's, oh, Allah, you are the pardoning, you love to pardon, so please pardon me. There are the ones, oh, Allah, you are the most forgiving. Indeed, you are the forgiving.
Starting point is 00:03:12 You're the most forgiving. You love to forgive, so please forgive me. There are multiple other ones. But in total, we're just going to take the one of forgiveness, and this is what it totally means. But if you look here, my brothers and sisters, this encapsulates the essence of our relationship with Allah, acknowledging our shortcomings and seeking his forgiveness.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Now, additional to our vicar, and I want to keep this one short tonight, it might only be about six minutes, inshallah. I'm just kind of going off my head. I'm not actually making a prediction here, but the last third of the night is an opportunity in an opportune time for Tehudjid, right, which is the night prayer. And the Prophet of Allah a. A.m. Would have exert himself in devotion during these last tonights, and we should strive to do the
Starting point is 00:03:51 same. To the best of our abilities, like I've spoken about before in our urging to the Divine series, inshallah after a isha sala we've spoken about what how you want to have good quality over your quantity of your ibadah so also trying to remember that as well and there is specifically it's very specifically important to ensure that we're engaging in diqr and remembrance of allah right dikr and prayer right and i'm just going to bring up the prayer it's very essential for us to take the time for reflection to step outside of your daily routines and to contemplate upon your life now i've spoken about contemplation and reflection but i do want to make
Starting point is 00:04:25 mentioned here as well. Throughout these last tonights, our reflection should lead us to seeking forgiveness, strengthen our relationship with Allah, Sufana, Heu Tala, and engaging in Dikr. Our reflection shouldn't be upon the Dunya matters, but rather it should be upon our spiritual matters and that matters of the Ahran, how we want to be, right? Where do you want to be? Inshallah, when you return to Allah, where do you want to be? Right. And after this month of Ramadan, ask yourself the same question. Where do you want to be? Right. In the upcoming month of Shawaa, inshallah where do you want to be this is a question we have to ask ourselves so also trying to remember throughout these last nights that you want to make the most of them by dedicating yourself
Starting point is 00:05:04 to ibada and reflection in dua and we've spoken about how dua is also a very beautiful means of remembrance and supplication in the eyes of allah saanah huaida if you want true love of allah ensure that you are remembering allah through these things when it comes to dua don't just limit it to your sala when it comes to dhq don't just limit it to after your prayer when it comes to to your Ibadah and it comes to your prayer. Don't just limit it to your prayer, right? Because your abada, not just say, oh, it's just prayer.
Starting point is 00:05:32 But rather do it over every moment of your life. And especially during this matur, Ramadan, and afterwards, in shah, if we carry it, if we try our absolute hardest and we want to carry out the things that we did good in this month of Ramadan, one of the things that should be implemented in practice is guarding your tongue.
Starting point is 00:05:45 How do you do that? You do that by implementing the Dikr of Allah. Because when you're implementing the Dikkar of Allah, you remember Allah, subhanna-tah is watching. You remember Allah, suprana hua yu'u'u'a and ultimately when you remember Allah that leads you out of doing any of those things you say you know I don't want to speak bad about someone because I know Allah supranahua'u'u'adda is going to hold me
Starting point is 00:06:02 accountable and as well as my tongue right now is also a means of could be a means of my destruction in the hereafter so I'm going to ensure that I remember Allah so my brothers and sisters throughout these last tonight ensure that you take the vikr of remembrance of Allah subanaana as a precious gift because it is from Allah, as it provides his opportunity to engage in remembrance of him, seek his forgiveness and strengthen our relationship with him. We ask Allah, supranah, to accept our efforts from us to vigorous for our sins, our shortcomings, and grant us the ability to remember him and our acts, our hearts, and our actions. And we ask Allah, supranahua, to make us among those who remember him often, to seek his
Starting point is 00:06:40 forgiveness sincerely, to make taubah sincerely, and who strive to draw closer to him. I mean, wakur, and wah, al-a-houndal-a-hi-Rabh. I mean, I ran over my time, seven minutes. but okay nonetheless just a lot of my brothers and sisters and a hundred and a while al-hann al-hambal-lil
Starting point is 00:06:53 Allahehmdhraubal-a-le-hrable-a-lea-rable-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-slai and a-slai-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
