brothers and sisters, do not curse your children. This is a very, very profound problem I find in life.
There was a brother who told me one time that, you know, his parents would curse him if he would do something wrong.
And the biggest thing, my dear brothers and sisters, is that we cannot look at our, and follow the sunnah of the Prophet of Allah.
When it comes to any and everything else. But when it comes to our children, we don't follow it at all.
Because did the Prophet of Allah Allah al-Heu-Sandem ever cursed one of his children?
Did he ever treat them unjustly?
No.
He nurtured them.
He helped them.
He made sure that they were loving to Allah, Sufana-Hu-Ta,
that they were a very loving person, that they had sincerity,
they had a class,
and he ensured that he raised them upon the religion of Islam, upon deem.
So my brothers and sisters,
cursing your children when they do something wrong is not a good thing at all.
It actually takes down their self, it takes down their feel for themselves, how they feel their confidence.
It also takes down your rank as well as a parent.
Because we've been taught that if you curse that child, that might be a dua that may be accepted.
And I mean, when I mean curse, I mean cursing a du a wise.
You know, you find people who will curse and say, yeah, Allah, please curse this, please curse this person because they did such a sin or they did something that.
might not have been too pleasing to you right now the thing my dear brothers and sisters i'm
specifically speaking to the parents right is that when it comes to something that your child does
that may be wrong it's a teaching moment whenever right whatever age it is from the age of
when they are born to the age that they are going to die as long as you are you know alive
inshallah ensure that you are helping them you're nurturing them because every point of life
is learning. Every point is. Every point is turning back to Allah. Every point is trying to gain more
closeness to Allah. And because you may have cursed them, because you may have hurt them,
you might be the one that brings them away from Islam rather than closer to Allah.
My dear relative to ancestors, there are many people who have problems with their children all the
time. But the biggest thing is that they make dua to Allah to help them, help their children,
allow for them to have taqua, allow for them to be upon this dean,
allow for them to remember him, and then they discipline,
they help in a halal and nice way, in a way that's pleasing to Allah.
They say, okay, look, we don't do this type of thing.
We don't do this, but we do this, right?
Or you understand the consequences of doing such a thing.
It's the same as someone who commits a sin, you know,
and maybe the parent knows about it.
Instead of getting upset at them saying, I'm going to kick you out,
I'm going to hurt you.
I'm going to harm you.
Instead, teach.
This is a moment of teaching.
We need to get better at our relationship.
We need to get better at knowing Allah,
suhahua'u, and just because you make a dua and 13 seconds later,
you wonder why it's not accepted.
That's not how it works.
Sometimes Allah, Sufahna, Hewtá'u-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-law give you something immediately.
And other times, it might be four years.
It might be two years, and now they come back.
It might seem like a long time, yes.
But did they come back? Did they come back to Allah? Did they fix their relationship with Allah?
We all have problems in life. But the biggest thing is coming back to Allah, seeking his forgiveness, repenting for things that we did wrong, and ensuring that we are teaching our children rather than hurting them and harming them for the future.
We ask Allah, Sufana, Howu, Tadda, to forgive us all of our sins are our shortcomings and to grant us all a blessed day.
We ask Allah, Sufana, ahu, Tal, to make us among those who remember him throughout all times of our life.
And al-ul-a-h-モan, al-h-hazh-l-l-a-a-ma-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-wraught-a-a-a-a-dhaw-a-a-a-er-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ha-a.
