Starting point is 00:00:13 Bismillah, Rihman, and al-Humulah, and allah, Ruhbelih, Rabeh, Rāsafei, and Allahe, and al-Aishae, and hishabi, Ajambe, and Ais and Aishe, Ais and Sissau, Ais, and Ais and My brothers and sisters, I pray that everyone is doing well. And I ask Allah, Your Holy Ta'u, to forgive us for our sins on our shortcomings and grant us
Starting point is 00:00:31 his special mercy, not only in this life, the meaning the next. I'm a humdi-a-a-me, my brothers and sisters, I got a commonly asked question on the community, and I'm going to make this clear to everyone and very simple and concise. The question was, why have you not done any talks and the answer to that very clear and concise I was sick
Starting point is 00:00:48 okay so we're going to answer that very quickly as well a hundred that how bad I mean by Allah after we did our talk on Saturday afternoon actually I think it was afternoon it was close to evening time for a close to mug of time actually I did our talk how to see that how to detach from the dunya right the practical tips it was about 19 20 minutes pretty much so and then after all of that I think winter that night I started to feel sick and I ended up posting on the community in a, you know, underneath a post I did for Emobotic. I ended up saying like, hey, I'm not feeling well, whatever, but I guess nobody saw that. It's okay, though, you know. The comments question we asked. So just to let you all
Starting point is 00:01:26 know, just in case this talk is a little shorter or, you know, maybe I sound a little stuffy. I am still recovering, okay, from the sickness. But I haven't really that hard about the name, which is why it reminds me of a talk I did about, I think, was it four months ago I did, was there really three or four ago, the beginning of 2026, why I specifically spoke about the two main blessings in which the Prophet of Allah a lai.u. S.L.M. mentioned not to take for granted, and that was your health and your free time. So my dear brothers and sisters, a reminder for myself, a reminder to all of you, take care of your health, especially of the youth as well. Take care of your health. And ensure that you're trying to remember Allah. You're trying to use that health. And we ask
Starting point is 00:02:03 Allah, Sufana, whoi, for whatever pain, whatever sickness, for whatever hardships that we were going through, for it to not only be an alleviation of our sins, for us. our mistakes and our shortcomings that we made, but also it means of granting us jinnett for those al-a'a and granting us closeness to him. I mean, also the final thing I mentioned about sickness is make sure you're making du'a for those who are sick and ill. So your brothers and sisters around the world, those in your community, those around you who you may know you may not know, those who you happen to see randomly, make du'a for everyone in this unma as we truly need it. It's very beautiful because today is the seventh of Shawa. Right? Sometimes for us,
Starting point is 00:02:41 for others is, you know, the six. But for us, it is the seventh of show-ow. I want to speak about fasting the six days of show-a-while and the reward that comes with it. So it is a month that follows the month of Ramadan, right? We know that during this month of show-a-law, as we'll also get into, it's also a time in which our deeds are amplified. It's a time of which our deeds are multiply, right? So you may get extra rewards for a deed that you did and also opposes that. If you do a sin if you commit something that's displeasing to a law, you may get triple the reward or the reward doubled just because, or, you know, the punishment for that doubled for what you actually did. So also trying to remember as well that when you are in Sha'u'al, try to stay in that Ramadan mode,
Starting point is 00:03:28 which is why one of the most practical tips in which a lot of the scholars actually mentioned is that when it comes to show while, most of us try to hold on when it comes to, you know, the day of Eid. But he was saying specifically, and there are a lot of scholars, like I said, who specifically say this, they say try to hold on during so showa. Not only just to your, you know, your ki'am, not only just to your siam, which is your fasting, but also to your prayer, not only just to those three things, but to all the things you used to do during the month of Ramadan. And one of the ways to distinguish between whether or not it's going to stay with you
Starting point is 00:04:03 throughout the rest of the month, throughout the rest of the year for the next, you know, for us 11 months until, inshālataa comes again. We ask Allah to grant us the ability to witness it again, I mean. But that point, when it comes again, you want to be ready, right? How do you know if it's going to be that whole time? And the way that they differ and they show the difference between the people is they say how you are in Shaban, or how you are, sorry, inshawal. I'm thinking about Shaband.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Sorry about that. how you are inshawal is going to be how you're going to be throughout the rest of the year and sometimes we say well i mean we could fade off a little bit but if you're staying so steadfast upon your fasting upon your prayer upon trying to amplify your rewards upon trying to lower that was displeases of law and trying your absolute heart is to seek repentance and you make it a continuous habit the most likely by allah inshallah that he has granted you the ability to hold on to it for just another month, inshallah, and inshallah continuously throughout the rest of Shawal as well, and the rest of the year as well as well to mention that as well. Now what I do want to mention here, I said as well twice, sorry, three times, but to mention here is that there's one narration that is mentioned,
Starting point is 00:05:19 and it states that the Prophet. Allah a Allah a He who observes the fast of Ramadan and then follows it with six fasts. right of the month of Shawal, it would be as if he has fasted perpetually. So what does this mean? So even though we think when we fast, the six fast of Shawal, some of us have already completed their fasting, we'll be completing them tonight. Of course, the first of Shawal was the day of I eat so you could fast in, but on the second up until the seventh, that would be the time period in which you would have
Starting point is 00:05:47 fasted that point. But if you look here, he specifically says fasting perpetually. So what does that mean? A lot of people differ in a lot of skishton. Shalas differ. And a lot of people say that when it comes to perpetually, it means that you have fasted perpetually every single day, even if you just fast these six days. So if you fasted the days of Ramadan and you fast, you know, shawal as well those six days in shawal, then it also gives you the reward as if you fasted perpetually every single day throughout the whole year, which is the reward, which reminds me of the very next hadith I want to mention in which the Prophet Allah a.m. says, whoever fasts six days after, after either fitter, right, will have completed the years worth of fasting. For whoever does a good deed, that will have the, they will have the reward of it, 10 times like it. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Or they differ. Like you have 10 times more or 10 times like it or 10 like it. You know, it's different. But if you look at it, you're going to have 10 more, inshallah if Allah wills. So what I want you to realize here as well, and I want to reinforce the idea here as well, of that when it comes to fasting in these six days, not only does it complete the reward of Ramadan, right, but also multiplies your deeds significantly and continuously.
Starting point is 00:07:09 So when it comes through continuously throughout the year, not only are you fasting throughout the year, but as well it will be as if you have completed the whole year's worth of fasting continuously without even having to actually fast six days continuously. I keep saying continuously. I'm sorry. I keep saying these words repeated repeatedly. But if you actually look at it, I do want to make this very clear statement and a point to all of us.
Starting point is 00:07:34 We don't have to fast six days straight. And you don't have to fast the day after eat, the day after that, the day after. You can literally fast Monday, Thursday, Monday, Thursday, and then that's it. Right? And you've completed it. And sometimes, you know, some people try to play catch up. Some people are like, oh, no, if you only have a week left, okay, how am I going to do this? Let me go ahead and fast on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:07:55 and then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and then I'll fast. If I fast on Thursday, I can fast on Friday. And then they go and they catch up on all six of their days. And some people start a little later. And we ask Allah to find a hotel to grant us the ability and the health and the time to fast for his sake and to also accept it from us. It grants the reward of it. I mean, the last thing I would like to mention here when it comes to this is actually
Starting point is 00:08:18 I would like to put together two points I want to make here. And that's the first one of the benefits that come with it. And then the flexibility when it comes to your fasting. So like we mentioned before, when it comes to the flexibility, we'll start with that one. So that's very interesting as well. If you actually look at the hadith and you go through them, the Prophet of Allah, Aidehu, he was said never mentioned, and he did not specify that you must fast in a particular order. You must fast the day after eat, and then the day after that, and then the day after that,
Starting point is 00:08:50 and then you have to fast six days straight. He said you can fast any six days of the month of shawah as long as it's inshawah. You can't fast five inshawal and then decide, I'll fast one and do al-Qa-da and I think that will do. I think that will do good. No, you have to actually fast inshawal, and that's it. And just to give a note as well, it's actually very impermissible for you to fast on the day of Eid. So if any of us have fasted on the day of Eid, make sure you seek forgiveness from Allah. If you did not know that Allah, Sufranata, will not hold an account for you.
Starting point is 00:09:21 But if you did know, I'm reminding you as well now, ensure that you are trying your absolute hardest to align with the obligations. And you know that especially on this day of aid, you're not allowed to fast as a day of eating as well. It's a day of remembering Allah. So you should not force yourself to fast on this day. So if you started your fast on the first of Sha'uil trying to start your fast, then you might actually nullify your fast for Sha'aul because you are going against what Allah, Sufana-hoita has told us to do. And when it comes to the second point I wanted to mention here as well, when it comes to the spiritual benefits, those six days or those six fasts of Sha'al,
Starting point is 00:10:01 they serve multiple benefits. Firstly, it helps us maintain the discipline and the consciousness, takua of Allah, Sufana and it also helps us to continue to cultivate it just like we did during our Ramadan. And when we continue to fast, we also reinforce our commitment to our iman and to our desire to please Allah, right?
Starting point is 00:10:22 And this is exactly why the Prophet of Allah Haleahadiqu-Sat-Hu-Satheh says that fasting, one of the things, it's a longer hadith, actually the one I mentioned here, but fasting prohibits immorality and evil and all these other different things as well. So when you think here, fasting is a very beautiful aspect,
Starting point is 00:10:40 and it's something that we should try to continuously do throughout the rest of the year. And also, when it comes to fasting, and when it comes to these six days of shawah, the six fast of Sha'u'al, it's also a means of gratitude to Allah saffa'u'u'a'a for the blessings that we receive during Ramadan and the blessings that we receive after Ramadan. And also, fasting is a form of worship that brings us closer to Allah as well. So when it comes to this, you're engaging in this practice for these six days, for these six fast, and you're trying
Starting point is 00:11:11 your absolute hardest only to do it for Allah. You're trying your absolute hardest to abstain from food and drink, not so that you can just come back after, you know, Mugrib and just go ahead and make yourself a whole feast to have at that point, but actually it's supposed to be so that you can gain takua. You can gain discipline. When you are stripping yourself of that need, right, it's a need that we all have. We need food to survive. But you're stripping yourself of that for a greater purpose. So also thinking here as well, my dear brothers, sisters, it's very important that we express that gratitude as well because it's also one of the, you know, the pros, but it comes to our fasting. And, you know, just to eliminate that thought
Starting point is 00:11:57 from anyone's mind, there are no cons when it comes to fasting. Okay. So there are no cons. I know I said pros, but there are no cons to fasting. But one of those pros when it comes to it among a whole bunch of other ones is that it helps us with gratitude. It helps you think about those who do not have food and helps you think about yourself who has an abundance of food. Even if you look in your refrigerator and you have five or six items, you wonder, someone else around the world may not even have a refrigerator or actually a place to sleep or actually a home or any of these things. So when it comes to this point, my brother and sister, that helps you to engage in gratitude and thankfulness to Allah, Sufana and Hei-Tal. And it guarantees you that strength of gratitude, especially during the rest of this month of Sha'uil as well. So, my brother and sisters, it's a very highly recommended sunnah of the Prophet's Allah a la to fast the six days of Sha'aal, because it brings immense spiritual blessings and immense rewards and also immense pleasure from Allah saffa al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a as well and it also allows for us to maintain the momentum of our ibada after Ramadan and it serves as a means of expressing gratitude to
Starting point is 00:12:58 Allah for the blessings that we have received so my brothers and sisters al-h-h-h-h-h-h-a-ha we are on the seventh day like I mentioned before inshallah maybe earlier for some hopefully not later but maybe it's earlier for some so inshallah ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-ha we should try to incorporate this blessing and try to incorporate this practice, not just this year, but inshallah, if we have the opportunity to see many more years after this, then, inshallah, we should try to incorporate it then. And also, under brothers and sisters, try to encourage your family and your friends and your loved ones and those around you to do it as well, as it's also a means of veraqa for all of them as well, including yourself.
Starting point is 00:13:34 And we ask Allah, Sufāda, to grant us the ability to fast these six days of shawah to accept our sect, accept it from us, accept our fast from us, accept our deeds from us, accept our efforts from us and we ask Allah supanahua to figure what our sins are our showcomings and grant us his special mercy not only in this life and mainly in the next we're after that I wonder alhamdh liu'll have my brothers and such this for coming and listening and taking the time to listen am i amel to him to Allaha'a'am we're going close to the time for asser um I know in our last talk we said mugger but this time we're going close to asser's time inshallah and we ask Allah supanahua hua Tala to give us all the blessed rest of our days
Starting point is 00:14:08 is that will beaqa and again for coming wassalamu a a a laxmattu and wa'aqmatelah residence.
