Assalam and alaikum and what arechmattolahi and
to my dear brothers and sisters.
I pray that everyone is having a good day
and I ask Allah, Sufana, how it's Allah
to give us our sins and our shortcomings
and grant us his special mercy
not only in this life but mainly in the next.
My new brothers and sisters,
today I want to address a topic
that has become increasingly
relevant in our societies
and that is Halloween.
You know, this celebration,
which occurs on October 31st,
is often filled with costumes,
stricter treating in various festivals.
However, as Muslims, we must critically examine the underlining themes of Halloween
and how they relate to our beliefs, particularly regarding the glorification of Satan.
You know, and, you know, as Muslims, we must recognize that many of the traditions
associated with Halloween are steeped in belief that contradict our faith, you know, the celebration
of death, spirits, and the supernatural
can lead to a normalization of practices
that are not only un-Islamic,
but also potentially harmful to our spiritual well-being.
And, you know, Halloween has its origins
in ancient pagan festivals,
which marked the end of the harvest season
and the beginning of winter.
It was believed that on this night, the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred, allowing spirits to roam freely.
And over time, these customs evolved incorporating elements of superstition and fear.
And in Islam, as believers and as Muslims, Satan is a clear enemy to humanity.
And Allah, Suhphanahua-Tal warns us in the Quran.
Oh, you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of shaitan.
So just as Satan seeks to mislead us and divert us from the path of righteousness, or sorry, righteousness,
he also plans to bring everyone as many people as he can with him into the hellfire.
And the themes of fear and darkness, you know, prevalent in Halloween can glorify Satan and his influence.
And by engaging in these practices that celebrate this day, we risk normalizing the very forces that Shattan represents.
It is crucial for us as Muslims to be aware of how these themes can infiltrate our lives and impact our faith, especially for our children.
And that is one of the most concerning aspects of Halloween.
And that is its impact on our children.
You know, many Muslim children, especially young children, may feel pressured to participate in Halloween festivals, which can create confusion about the identity and beliefs.
And as parents and community members, we must guide our children in understanding the significance of their faith and the importance in avoiding practices that contradict Islamic teachings.
You know, instead of participating in Halloween, we can encourage our children.
to engage in activities that promote Islamic values such as community service, charity, and celebrating
our own Islamic holidays like aid. And you know, and by fostering a strong Islamic identity,
we can help our children and navigate social pressure while remaining steadfast in their faith.
So Halloween presents a challenge for many Muslims, especially living in the West, especially living
in these societies that we live in where this celebration is prevalent.
And it is essential for us to critically examine the implications of participating in such festivals
and recognize the potential glorification of Satan that can arise from them.
You know, in ensuring that not only in ourselves, but mainly in our children, that we are nurturing
a strong Islamic identity, ensuring that we and our children remain steadfast in our worship
and our rejection of Satan's temptations.
I will ask Allah supranahua
to guide us all to the straight path
and protect us from the whispers of Satan
Amen, and Iachal du da'an
al-a'al-a-l-a-l-a-lameen.
And al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aqmāādhae.
