Bismillah, Rihman and Rahim, al-hamedulah,
and al-a-a-a-Rasul-Lah, and al-Aishe,
and allahili-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aaa.
I'm afraid everyone is doing well,
and I ask Allah, Suhāra-Ti-a to figure us for our sins
our shortcomings in the grass,
and special mercy, not only in this life,
the next.
Bismillah, one of the biggest things I would like to speak about tonight,
and it's very interesting.
You know, I would like to thank everyone,
for coming out here today early before Juma,
before the prayer.
I would like thank everyone, shah, shah,
for coming out here but it's very beautiful i was writing this talk and most of the times if you go
through the average of you're writing a talk i can normally write a whole talk maybe about 15 minutes
and about a day but to write something that was going to be about 17 maybe minutes you know to write this
throughout a course of about a week you know ahamdulah it just had to put more depth into your
ibada and when it comes to our i bada we had alhcdhah for me at least i don't want to speak on everyone
here but alhamdilah we had a beautiful night last night i had a beautiful night worth of prayer and worth of
ibadah and you know al-ah bhaa all the prayers that we pray we ask the loss of from us to accept it
from us and accept our efforts from us on our fast from us as well well it's very beautiful as well
to speak about because in these last 10 nights not only just looking at the night of decree
and specifically specifying into a certain night because it's something that we do and by the way
just let you know before i go on to the rest of this this is going to be a more in-depth talk and more
in-depth conversation so i do want to let you all know that it's not going to be something that's
going to be a simple normal talk, but it's going to be a little more in depth, inshallah.
But one of the things that we have to look at in these last 10 nights is not actually just to
work towards Laila to Kudder.
Not only, that's one of the most important things, but another one of the most important
things is if you have not utilized those first 20 days, then this is the time that you should
use it.
So when the last 10 days arrive, specifically it is narrated that Aisha, R.A.
Al-a-anha said that the messenger of Allah, Salah, a.
He was saying he would combine both prayer and sleep at night during the first 20 days of Ramadan.
But when the last 10 days arrived or the last 10 nights arrived,
he would exert himself in an Ibadah and stay away from his wives, right?
Or he would, you know, pray in congregation with his family.
But, you know, a lot of times he also would go, you know, to perform it to Kauffin the mashth.
He would cut himself away from people, you know, go to the cave,
whether it was, you know, an isolation just to worship Allah, Sufana, Hecala.
and the prophet's Allah alexand
would take as many days as possible from
you know
doing the normal things he would normally do on a day-day basis
whether they'd be trying to sleep or they'd be trying to
you know maybe catch up on certain things and go out and just
spend time outside he'd be trying to work on his relationship with Allah
and that is likewise for us as well
we should avoid wasting this precious time with e-preparations
to switch off our social media switch off our devices
one thing that I highly recommend for all of us is actually
best actually is to not go on the internet and shall we'll go to 10 tips for these last and nice but one of the things i
suggest we all do and do not do is to stay away from the internet and not to even touch it right unless it's very like unless is a
necessity necessity right um and why i mean by the internet is not the web you know like mostly mostly the web as well
because it it leads to a lot of bad things as well but mainly as well as youtube and social medias and
all those things as it kind of prevents from you know you're even
Badha from Allah, and I remember I think in my community, I told people, I was like, look, I don't care if you're in the community and you're responding to messages. I was like, I don't care if you're never going to come back to the community until after the month of Ramadan. And I used to use never, but you're not going to come back to the community after the month of Ramadan. But I don't actually want you to be in the community. It was crazy that I haven't even been in there myself uploading stuff. So just to let you all know, in case you're wondering, like, why is going to have to upload anything in the community? Like very rare. Like I'm seeing, you know, very little numbers to views, very little numbers to.
you know, interactions or, you know, before Ramadan, I'll be seeing 50 comments on one post and they'll be like, okay, my phone's getting blown up, right?
But now you're seeing, oh, like, oh, two comments.
It's like, oh, okay, that's actually a good thing for me because it lets me know that most of the people aren't taking their time wasting it on social media or on a community or on a place where we have a chance to actually engage in each other.
And it's nothing wrong with that.
But what I will say, my dear brothers and sisters is that when the last 10 nights approach, and specifically in a hadith,
Aisha radio, Allah, and has said, when the last 10.
nights of Ramadan, you know,
arrive, the Prophet's Allah
a.a'u-a-a-hu-sselam
would tighten his waistbelt,
which means to stay away from
his wives or strive. He would spend
the night in worship or ibadah, and he
would awaken his family. So he would pray in
congregation. He would awaken his family
to do what? To pray and worship Allah,
Sapanahu atada. And the biggest thing that
we have to do during these last ten nights is to
push ourselves to worship Allah, which is actually one of the
tips I want to give here. But when it comes to the
10 tips for these last ten nights,
one of them is to switch off your social media,
and not to go on the web like that.
The second is to not waste your time with eat preparations, right?
So, al-Hamda-la, for me and for pretty much my whole family,
we've already done our e-shopping.
We don't have any other e-shopping to do.
That's fine.
Because now we have a chance to actually enjoy and work on the last night.
And just in case anyone's wondering why the website hasn't been updated like that,
because of the month of Ramadan, I want to focus more on it.
So just to let you know as well,
and everybody here who's working on the website is not really working too much on it,
because they're working on ourselves and we're working on the rest of Ramadan.
Also give siddaka give charity every day as it is a means of remembrance of Allah
It is a means of what is the room of elevation in the rank of Allah supranahu Tadha
And is a means of reward for you push yourself to worship Allah suhpana huaata
If you're feeling sluggish if you're feeling like I don't want to worship night worship pray
Because that could be your last night that could be laid up with Qadr and you could actually miss out potentially on the opportunity
Inshallah is ensure that if you can you know perform intercast
Sometimes it's not really easy for people to do that and I'm supposed
specifically speaking to the men because, you know, the women, you know, it's not something that you can do.
But when it comes to performing it to calf, try your absolute hardest to make sure that you're trying to stay in the massage it,
because that's the only way you can actually perform it to calf.
We're also just be considered visiting the masht here and there and leaving to go grab some food or leaving to go do this, you know, and that.
But make sure that if you are going to perform it to calf, you have the right intention and you're doing it for the sake of Allah,
Sama Tāsa'u'lla, solely.
And if you want to as well throughout these last nights, you can pray at the massage at every single prayer,
but ensure that you are performing at least Isha and Fudgeur at the minimum in congregation,
whether that is at the master or whether that is home, if you have a family or someone else to pray,
that is considered congregation, that the master is better and it gave more rewards.
Performed kiyam at night or perform taro-wi, because if you actually think about it,
Kiyam is actually Tatawi. It just has a different name to it.
Kiyam is the night prayer, right?
Kiyamu Le, it's a night prayer.
It's actually a night prayer that it's a prayer that you don't have to go to sleep.
You don't have to go to sleep to pray it.
And Tarawi is a prayer you don't have to go to sleep to pray.
You pray it whenever before, as long as you have not fallen asleep.
And if you fall asleep and you wake up, then that would be considered to Hajid.
And sure as well, you also are consistently asking Allah,
for forgiveness and for freedom from the hellfire and for entry into Jinnah,
because the gates of heaven are open and the gates of paradise.
Or sorry, the gates of heaven are open and the gates of heaven are open and the gates of
the hellfire are closed right now at this moment.
So ensure you are asking Allah,
Sufanaanaana to enter you into Jinnah,
and you're asking Allah supanahu Tata to enter you into Jinnah,
and you're asking Allah supranahua Tadah from freedom
from the slave fire or from the hellfire.
Ensure that you also are striving in every potential night,
you know, to try and emulate how the Prophet of Allah,
Allah, A, He was.
And if we actually look at the way he was,
it was like, oh, you know,
I'm going to worship as much as I can throughout these last ten,
nights even if it might mean that I need to exert myself in I bad right because I might not get
a chance to see the next night so even if for us we're praying each jashallah right now at the
very moment is still early and that praying it at eight o'clock I think if I'm not I'm taking 850
so you know we still have the time we have nine 10 11 inshallah we end our prayers out of 12
or end our prayers about one you can still have time to go back to go back home and go to sleep
and then wake up inshallah for sahur or wake up inshah for fadur now one of the other things I will say
actually it is you know very recommended for the final tip I would give to bathe and
apply perfume and adorn yourself with the with the minimum or you know doing yourself like
putting on good clothes wearing things that are pleasing to Allah so on my Tala throughout these
last ten nights and especially for this great night inshallah that we hope to see which
we lay it's a very interesting example I wrote down here to give but when the
race horse, right, or the horse who is racing knows that he is nearing the end of the track,
it exerts all of its efforts to win the race. So you don't want to be like the racehorse
where it's like, oh, well, I'm getting to the end. I'm kind of tired already. I might as well
just give up and quit. I've already exerted myself in these first 20. So ensure that you are
trying to welcome Ramadan slowly and you're trying to bid Ramadan quickly. Not quickly like
bid like oh no I'm trying to quickly get out of Ramadan what I mean by inter Ramadan slowly is I
mean enter it for the first 20 days the first 15 20 days try your absolute hardest to slowly work your way up
don't start the first night praying 20 rakas but instead the first night two rakas the second night
two recas the third four and then it continued building up until you get to the 20th and at that
point you're at whatever number you want to be at and sometimes people like to stay at a central
number but try your absolute hardest to you know bid farewell to the month of
Ramadan better than you entered it and also ensure that you are working on
yourself throughout these last and nights is a very blessed time I wanted to go
through the sura Qadr so that's al Qadr because it's very beautiful how powerful
this night is that Allah Safana Huitara has there there's a entire sort of in the
Quran that's dedicated just to this one night so this shows how great
in importance of and virtue it
is, right? And virtuous is
and Allah,
and Allah,
He says, he says,
Inna anzalnau
in Leil of Kodar,
Lailet al-Kodr,
Lailet al-Kodur,
Lailet al-Ail Mhijeru
in her,
by ithne,
Rueh, and
Hath, Moutal Fadr.
Indeed, we sent this
Quran down on the night of
Qadr, and what will
make you realize what the
Night of Kudor is,
the night of Kudor is better
than a thousand months.
The angel and Jabriel
a la iss islam it descend in it by the permission of the lord for every matter it is peace until the
rising of dawn so that means fudger time so we must reflect upon that ayah on those ayah specifically
now the one i did for sara one is actually very long and i want to keep this shorter because like
i said we are all the time crutch here as well and since we are still fasting right now um inshallah
i don't want to you know take away from anyone's goodness or i don't want us also you know
went out of breath or my thirst starts to get dragged on so I'm speaking so long here but nonetheless
one of the things here in the Quran Allah saffama and sa'u'a'u'a says in ayahuin innan an anzalnau
in the night of the creed the night of the night of the night of power so this night is special
as it marks one of the most magnificent events in history that's the first revelation of the
Quran and even if we worship Allah supana hua ta a thousand months or a thousand years it would
not be enough to appreciate and thank him for his favor. So, Ibn Abbas,
for Allah, who an whom, uh, said that the Quran was revealed in its entirety from the
highest heaven to the lowest heaven and was subsequently revealed to the
Prophet of Allah a lai.u'll bea loy and within three years. So Qadr refers to honor and
nobility, right? So it is a noble knight as the Quran descended and Allah
suhpaniahu is noble angels descended in it as well. And the mercy of Allah
upon her hua tisnes upon the entire earth and the noble angel jabrille a
alexalam was chosen to descend with a noble book which is what the Quran right the
words of the eternally noble upon the heart of the most noble man so
Allah suhpano hua Tata states indeed we send it down on a blessed night so
likewise the one who worshipped Allah suhpanihu
tada in this night is not is noble and honored by his Lord and his room
The second thing I want to mention here is the decree.
The angels descend with the allotted decree of each person for the next year,
which is why Allah,
Allah,
in the same Sura in the Ayah,
the next Ayah,
in Ayah,
it's the Surah 44,
Ayah 2,
the first one I mentioned,
the first one I mentioned,
the fourth one I'm mentioning here.
On that night,
every matter of wisdom is ordained.
So when it comes here to this point,
you have to realize that the decree of Allah,
Sufana, Hewetal, is very beautiful.
This is why yesterday we spoke about,
Joama to doa which is a decree
which is a dua the all the one encompassing
dua and I can go deep into this but
inshallah I'm not going to you can watch that talk
inshallah to for my day yesterday
but what specifically about this at the end
is that Allah sa'apana in this dua you ask
Allah you say and I ask you to make
every decree that you decree concerning me good
so it's very important to
recognize how decree during these last
nights is a very big and emphasized
thing right the night of decree
as well as constraint
and congregation so
when it refers to the earth being restricted as the angels fill up the earth.
And there's no wound for any evil during this night.
And the messenger of Allah,
Salah,
Allah,
Allah,
He waslelam said,
indeed,
there are more angels on the earth on that night than the number of pebbles on the earth.
You know how many pebbles are on the earth, right?
A pebble is very small.
And if you collected all the pebbles,
it would probably fill the whole earth.
And you imagine how many more angels there are than that.
So this is very beautiful as well,
and how we have to ensure that we are also spending this night
in ibaeda and in worship of all
and Allah savioura and when it comes to
you know the significance of the Quran being revealed at night
as opposed to the day now elsewhere in the Quran
Allah savioura says limited in his glory
is he who transported his servant by night
from the sacred mosque in Mecca to the Al-Aqsa mosque
right and another ayah allah saitha says and pray
during a part of the night offering additional prayer
so your lord may raise you to
a station of praise. And then another I want to mention here is when Allah,
Sufanahu Tala says, indeed, rising by night for sala or for prayer, makes it for a stronger
impression on the soul. And it is best for the recitation of the words of Allah
Sufanaoanihu. These verses indicate a strong connection between Ibadah and the nighttime,
right? Ibada and lail. So when it comes to this, it's a very beautiful as well as
Allah, Allah, sauntera, mentioned enjoying a lofty rank in the sight of Allah saithaaaaa at night.
So when one sacrifices the comfort of their sleep and the company of their spouse and the company of their bed and the company of relaxation and comfort, they instead turns to Allah,
to upon His Creator, their heart brimming with love and tremble with out of his out of fear.
He is closer to receiving the exclusive outpourings of Allah supranata's mercy and the stillness of the night.
The heart is calmer.
Distractions are limited.
and one is able to absorb the hefty and the weight message of his lord, especially during these nights.
Now when it comes to Ayat 2, I would like to actually pair Ayat 2, 3, and 4 together here as well.
When it comes to Ayatu, Allah, Suu, Allah says what he says and what will make you realize what the night of Qadr is, or the night of decree is.
Ma'a Daraq, right?
Ma'a Daraq.
I want to focus on ma'adraq of Ayatu, and in Ayatah, and in Ayah,
Aya 3 will continue on, but what will make you realize?
So if you look here, what a der Raqa, right?
So this is a very powerful rhetorical question,
which draws our attention to the importance of this night.
And we have to fully appreciate the greatness of this night
as it is something that we should not take for granted.
And when it comes to Ayah 3,
Allah, Sufanaanaana mentioned that the night is better than a thousand months.
So he's mentioning here that if you did the math on it, right?
In 1,000 months equals up to 83 years.
And the Prophet of Allah a lao'a'a
said that the normal lifespan
of the people of his Ummah would be
60 to 70. So
even despite our short lives,
however, Allah suhpanoiattah blesses us
with the ability to have
the rewards of 83 years, which is
why even if we were able to live
for 83 years, we still would not
be able to gain the true blessings,
right? Even then, imagine
how many Leilu Kedars if you hit
for 83 years, right? You
worship for 83 years.
and as well as you hit 83 later to carers.
I should say you get 83 later to carers
because you worship every single last 10 nights.
And when it comes to the fourth ayah, I want to mix here as well,
is when Allah, Sufanao Tallah says,
he says the angels and Jabreu al-a-Salam descend in it
by the permission of their Lord for every matter.
Ibn Khadhiu and He also wrote
that the angels descend in abundance during the night
due to its abundant blessings.
And the angels descend with mercy and blessings and love
and tranquility just as they descended when the Quran was recited and it surrounds the group of vicarer, remember it's of Allah, right, when it's surrounded.
So when you're speaking about Allah like this, like we're speaking here, imagine the amount of angels that are here now.
Not only just your personal angels, but also the angels are being sent down by Allah, Sufana-ho-Tal.
And then we think about the peace and tranquility of this night, which is why Allah, Sufana-Hu-Talah says salamun, right?
He says, he says peace.
It is peace during the rising of the dawn, right?
mean that means dawn is fudr time right so fajar so he says salam and then fajr peace and then
fadr so it ends at fudger time so it could mean that this night is full of peace and it is good
and there is safety from our harm and evil until dawn now specifically my brothers and sisters
the last thing i would like to mention here is to beg allah supranah for freedom and i said this is a great
talk. I pray that we all benefit from it or not over yet, but inshallah, if you want to actually
gain the true benefit of this whole talk that I have here, it's actually a paper that we just
released this morning at 830. So inshallah, hop over to the website, not to say that you need to
get back on the web, but just hop over to the website, inshally, you can download it or you can
just, you know, get it normally as like a PDF or PDF versions you can have on your phone,
your iPad or whatever device, and you can read it from there, and inshallah, Tadah, you can learn more
about the things here. I didn't mention everything I wanted to mention, but,
Inshallah, as I said, you can also read the paper, so that would give you everything you want.
But our beloved Prophet, Allah, Allah, Hew-a-u-a-u-a-a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha has freed slaves from the hellfire every day and night in Ramadan,
and every servant among them has a supplication which is answered.
So throughout these beautiful and blessed nights, my dear brothers and sessions,
we should pour our hearts out to Allah, and prayer to Allah in sojude and sages,
because like the authentic hadith is that the closest a servant comes to his lord is when he is prostrating.
So we should absolutely, my dear brothers and says,
sisters, I hate to keep saying brothers and sisters, but beg,
Allah, subhpano, to free us from the fire.
Allah, Ijan and amen to nah.
Oh, Allah, free us from the hellfire.
We ask Allah, Sufanao, to free us from the hellfire to be able to our sins of our
sins and our showcomings and grants this, special mercy,
and only this life and meaning the next.
And we ask Allah, who is to accept our last tonight from us
and grant us the ability to witness the Leila to al-Qa'Ader and the best of nights during this whole year.
And we ask Allah, Sufana-Hu-Ta-Tal, to allow for us to benefit from this Ramadan,
not only just with this night, but to allow for us to benefit from it
and take what we learned or what we did throughout this month into the rest of the year.
But your brothers and sisters, insh-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-for tonight after Magribe and after-A-Sha-Sha-a-ha-Reflections.
for our reflections tonight.
Inshall Allah, I ask Allah,
to forgive us for our sins
our shortcomings to grant this,
but for mercy, not only this,
like remaining in the next.
And I ask Allah,
for us to emerge from this Ramadan
as better individuals.
She's a-hul-ah, and again,
for coming with your brothers and sisters.
I ask Allah, Sufana-hoh, Tao,
to forgive me if I made any mistakes.
And I ask you all to forgive me
about my many mistakes.
And I ask Allah,
to grant us all the rest and I'm blessed,
fast, and the blessed of our day
and accept our efforts from us.
Weakur, and I'ma-ha-houndal-Lah,
and al-aamu alaimin and alaqa and rachmatelahi and brai'atim and brothers and sisters
