Today, I want to talk about the month of Shawwal and the incredible opportunity it presents for us to multiply our good deeds. Bismillah, Al-rahman, Al-Himdhul-Lahim, al-Haw-A-Lamu'Ais-Law-A-Rasolul-Lah and Aisha'Aisha'Aisha'Ajah and Aishaeim. Assalam-Aa-Rahe-Berahe and Aishehaheim,

and your brothers and sisters, I pray that everyone is doing well and I ask Allah, Sifahua-Talah and our shortcomings and grant us and special mercy, not only in this life, the next.

Al-A-A-A-Lam-A-A-A-M, my brothers and sisters, we have another one of our Aster reflections for today, as Asar is approaching us, inshallah, within the next maybe I say 30 minutes or so, so inshallah make this one shorter. And also I do want to emphasize a point here before I continue. You know, it's going to be, inshallah, a rhetorical talk that you'll see every single probably month of this, of the Islamic year. I will say, oh, you know, abdis multiplied

in this month, as long as it's one of those sacred months and also special months as well, throughout the year. And we ask Allah, Sufano Houta to multiply these for us. But seriously, on a serious note, I do want to reciprocate this talk similar to how we did for Ramadan, but different as well.

I want to mention in here. I did not mention in that talk. And also, just to give you a reference, there, inshallah, will be more talks about Sha'u'all giving coming up. So don't think this is the last one. Inshallah, we do want to continue to expand our knowledge about Sha'aul and how to use it.

And, shawallah, we ask Allah, safana, ho, to grant us the opportunity to multiply our deeds throughout these blessed months of the year. And we ask Allah, Sufana, how it does for our sins our shortcomings, and it grants us special mercy that only in this life and meaning the next. A very interesting thing for today as well, theme, shall I say, is that the camera is not directly in front of me.

So it's on the side of me. So it's going to sound a little, it's going to be looking a little different, um inshallah but just to go ahead and give that quick heads up but to start my brother and sisters we emphasize this in the juma talk and it was specifically that the prophet of allah a he was said that whoever fasted ramadan and then follows it with the six days of shawal it is as if he is fasted for the year right for the entirety of the year so the reminder i'll give you here to start off is if you have not already made your shawah fast today today is sunday inshc tomorrow's monday if you want to start on monday if you want to start on monday

shah allah we ask allah saffano how to grant us the ability to to wake up tomorrow early enough for sohoa and to fast tomorrow and we ask allah saffana huita to grant us the ability to continue fasting even after shawalha allah but when it comes to this i want you to look here specifically at this i am going to mention when it comes to your deeds being multiplied in the month of shawal what does allah sauvani howa a say does he specifically address ramadan does he specifically specifically address muharam? Does he specifically address shawal? Does he specifically address, you know, Sha'ban, all these different months of the year? No, specifically he is addressing deeds, right? What does he say? He says, um, the example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, right? You know how many of that is, right? Seven ears. But then he says, and he speaks about the good deeds on this level, he says, each. bearing 100 grains.

And he says, and Allah multiplies the reward even more to whoever he wills. And Allah, supranahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a is full of bounty and he is the all-knowing, right? So what I want to mention here about this ayah, very specific and very beautiful how this ayah goes, when it comes to our acts of good deeds

and our acts of iBada and anything that we do throughout these months, not just inshawal, not just end al-Qa-da, not just in Duhijja, it's not just in Muharram. It's actually in every single month as long as you are doing good. And one of the other things is that sometimes you may get rewarded triple, you know, you may get rewarded triple that good deed that you did, even if it was something simple, right? It could have just been that you greeted someone with kindness. It could have just been that you left off that argument. It could have just been that you refrained from speaking bad about someone or be, you know, idle talk or gossiping. It could have been that you. That you you also protected yourself from, you know, you kept yourself away from doing something that's displeasing to Allah. And Allah's upon and Howe-Tam rewards those who restrain themselves. So if you want more rewards, one of the other things when it comes to seeking the forgiveness of Allah is to seek the forgiveness of Allah, seek that taubah, and afterwards also look at if I refrain, I gain, right?

It's a kind of a common scale here, right? It's kind of, it's kind of beautiful how the wording is. you gave you if you if you refrain you're going to gain if you refrain from that sin if you refrain from what this pleases Allah saffana huaata you're going to gain reward and you're going to gain the pleasure of Allah suiathanahua and when it comes to Shawal just like I mentioned before the Prophet's Allah a Hew'slam emphasized fasting in these six days of Shalalal but also something else is emphasized in the life of the Prophet Allah a lai wa'u'll be in the life of the tabernine and those who followed what was

it was to fast throughout the year not that just fasting in Ramadan and Sha'all and then that's it. But even though you are gaining the reward of fasting a year, just fasting those days of Ramadan and fasting in Sha'u'al, guess what? If you fast throughout the year as well, right? Throughout the year every single, you know, Monday and Thursday, let's just say on a minimum, or whatever it is, maybe just a Monday or a Thursday every single, you know, a week. Or maybe it's just once a month. You're still gaining rewards for that. And just imagine the multiple rewards for that if you're fasting, first, the sake of Allah saffani and He asked Allah saffernahua to accept all from us.

Now one of the other things is when it comes to engaging in acts of worship, in acts of I abada and acts of the deeds. The two things I want to mention here specifically. The first thing is a hadith in which is mentioned constantly in all of my talks and specifically and that is that the best of deeds and the most beloved of deeds to Allah saffano and halle are those done consistently even if they're small. So doing good deeds is a very great thing, especially throughout this month of shawal. on, if I'm not mistaken, the 10th day of show-out, I don't want you, or maybe it's 11th, I'm sorry,

I don't want you to put yourself in this means that if you're not doing enough, right? If you're not doing, you know, these big, grandiose deeds, then Allah's not going to accept it from you. But even if you do a small deed, you still gain a bigger reward, right? So even if it's just an act of kindness of maybe smiling at someone, maybe it's giving something, maybe it's feeding someone, maybe it is helping someone, maybe it is helping someone, maybe it is for refraining, like I said before, refraining from something that is displeasing to Allah, Sufana, hua tala. So the premise I'm trying to give here and what I'm trying to emphasize is that throughout this month of Sha'u'al is not simply about just doing good as well.

It's about also refraining from that which is displeasing to Allah and also trying to ensure that you are not putting yourself in this position where you scold yourself because you feel as though you have not done good enough. Allah's suprana hoiata does not love those who do all these good deeds but don't have the right intention. He loves those who have a great and beautiful intention, sincere intention for his sake, even if it does be small as well. So this is also something else that I wanted to mention as well,

is that even though we have fasted the month of Ramadan, inshallah, we have completed the month of Ramadan, don't look at it as if, oh, well, my deeds are just too small now. During the month of Ramadan, they were huge, mountains of deeds being produced. And now after the months of Shana, Ramadan, now we're in shawal. Now my deeds go down to being the size of an end. No, they go and they're still big, right? Even if it might not see, even if it might not seem as if they are. And even if

you might do good deeds, ensure that you have a sincere intention and ensure that you're only doing it to please Allah. Because sometimes we say have a sincere intention and leave it at that. But I want to go deeper. I'll upon that for a second. Have a sincere intention. Yes, you can have a sincere attention. But making sure that your sincere intention is for Allah. Some people have a sincere attention just to please people, right? It's a very sincere, I just want to please people. I'm only doing it for these people, right? I'm only doing it because I want to please people.

I'm only doing it because I want worldly gain. Do not look at the deeds that you're doing so that you can gain good, right? If you're saying, oh, all right, well, if I, if I give this much money, I'm going to get $50 back. Okay, I'm going to give this money so I can get more back and more back and try to rig the system or something, right? But instead, try to look at it as I'm doing this for the sake of, of Allah supranahua-a-a-a-a-a-a and I ask Allah suhpana-a-a-a-a-a-a-saccepted for me and

except for all of us as well but just look at it in a way of this is a good deed I'm doing for Allah I'm not doing it for people I'm doing it actually for myself as well and also to ensure that you're trying my dear brothers and sisters to be grateful for what you do have and which is why Allah supranahua-u-a-u-sa-a-mintechs in the Quran he says if you are grateful I will surely increase your favor so be grateful my dear brothers and sisters in this month of jowal ensure you're increasing in gratitude you're increasing your remembrance of Allah and the final thing I would like to mention when it comes to you know this beautiful Quranic ayah that I mentioned in the beginning I have a question for all of us right

it's a good question for myself and for all of you as well have you done more good deeds outside of Ramadan than you did inside or inside of Shawal than you did have you done more good deeds and showal than Ramadan most likely most of us would answer with no what I want to phrase here is if you have not heard this Quranic ayah first, if you have never, you know, pondered upon it and reflected upon it, then I want you to reflect upon it now. Allah,

Allah, says the example of those who spend their wealth in the weight of Allah is a seed, is like a seed of a grain that sprouts into seven years. And in every year, there is a hundred grains, right? And Allah, so,

so on how it multiplies the reward, even more to whoever he pleases and whoever he wills. So, when it comes to this month of shawal, Allah supranahua ta'a can multiply your good deeds if he wants and we ask Allah saanahuataa to do so and also think of this example that Allah gives how beautiful it is he's not giving us this example so we can think man

these people are probably doing grandiose deeds and also another thing that I mentioned here as well is the example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah saanahu ata a lot of us believe wealth to be money physical but one of the other things is risk is doing it for the sake of a lost upon our own data so hamili all right my brothers and sisters the beautiful and blessed month of shawal is ending soon enough in the next 20 days inshallah to a today is the 10th um but my dear brothers and sisters do not let your deeds in and do not let what you did back to all saffanoahu

a god and we ask all saffana hu ta a all goodness in this life and hereafter we ask allah saudi al saudi to guide us to be among those who remember him who strive to to seek his pleasure and who are distinguishable in his sight. And my brothers and sisters, finally, I would like to say we ask Allah, Suhpranahua to bless us in his mother, Shu'al, emperor of the year to accept our deeds from us, multiply it like we read in the ayah that Allah supranahua Tala multiplies whoever deeds he pleases. And we ask Allah suhahua hua yu yada to make us some moustles to whom he loves and grant us genital for girls and a ala.

Zsha'u al-Qa-charn for coming, my dear brothers and sisters. Remember that we still have time for you to do your six fast. And also if you miss some fast during the matur Ramadan, try to make those up, inshallah, as soon as you can. If you have the time, if you only miss too fast during the month of Ramadan, make them up first, then make up the fast for shawal. If you miss more like 10, maybe, then inshallah, if you have, if you still don't have enough time, then inshallah, we ask Allah,

to Allah, sa'u'u'u'u'u'a to make it easy upon us to still complete our fast for his sake and grant us true understanding and true meaning in our lives, my brothers and sisters and also like I was mentioning when it comes to making up fast real quick make sure you do make up your fast in shawu'll so try your absolute hardest to do that and we ask Allah safanah how it's out to grant us the ability to build a consistent routine of doing good deeds like we established during the maturumadon and al-hahmda al-hambhala and again for coming and inshallah we'll be starting salat al-a-a-sor-a-sure sunsou Thank you, and what, Mahmato-a, and al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-synsistics.
