Hadoe'i'i'i'u'll
Allah allah, onehah,
and wehahehmann,
and Abduhah and Rasulhu.
Asalamu alaaa
and rhaeumatulah
and berkatu, my dear brothers and sisters.
I pray that everyone is doing well,
I pray that everyone's having a great day.
I ask Allah, supranah,
who is out of your gifts,
for our sins, our shortcomings
and to grant us to special mercy,
not only in this life, but mainly in the next.
My dear brothers and sisters,
when something good happens in our lives,
we must have shukr, our gratitude,
you know, in the air,
language shukr means gratitude so we must have shukr or gratitude to
allah suprana hua Tala when something good happens and when something bad
happens we must still have shukr to allah supranahua Tala you know having
gratitude is a huge blessing from allah Tava'u Tala every time something
happens we have to see this calamity or that calamity as a recognition of
Allah's a law supranah's mercy his generosity his kindness his compassion right
And Allah,
subhpanihu
Tala reminds us of this
beautifully in the Quran
when he says
if you are grateful
I will surely
increase you in favor
so Allah
specifically speaks
about those who
prioritize gratitude
over ingratitude
you know
gratitude is an act
of worship
which means that
it's an opportunity
for us to receive
more blessings
my brothers and sisters
our lives as believers
are filled with tests
and Allah
says that he is
he has built our lives
upon test
so that we may gain reward
so that we may gain closeness to him
which is why Allah
Siphanu'u'u'u'u'a says
verily in the remembrance of Allah
do cards find rest
which is Siphanu'll one of my favorite ayaz of the Quran
and the reason why is because it's true
right? You think about any
test that may be going on even if it's a test
or not when you have
remembrance of Allah everything
becomes easy especially if it's
sincerity. If it's sincere
remembrance of Allah it becomes easy
which is why gratitude
is one of the most significant tests we face in our lives.
And Allah,
Sufana Huatala, tests us through various circumstances,
through ease and through hardship.
You know, and how, you know,
even in the hardest of circumstances,
we still remain grateful to Allah,
to Allah, Sufana Huatala.
You know, when we receive blessings from Allah,
do we remember to thank him?
Are we grateful that we have received those blessings?
Or are we in-grateful?
When we are faced with challenges,
do we remain patient and thankful the way that we respond to these challenges to these tests show our true character our true identity our true faith which is why and you know uh i believe it might have been about i'm not going to count probably like 10 club ago i talked about our
and gratitude is one of those important pieces of our clack gratitude it's very difficult to be grateful when you are blessed when life is easy
If you can simply wake up and do whatever you want to do and go these different places,
al-hamsa-h-h-a-h-h-h-h-a-h-h-h-h-h-harmity.
But when you are faced with a calamity, when you are faced with a trial, it becomes difficult.
And Allah, subhahana huwata reminds us of this, that he says, those among you who I love
are the ones who I will test them most.
My dear brothers and sisters, as long as we prioritize our love for Allah, it will become
easier for us to do different things.
And one of the things in which
Allah, Sufanao and a Tala has told us
that won't be easier for us to do
is to worship him. Why do you think
Allah, Allah, says in Sartantanthana,
he says,
Innani,
on Allah,
Allah,
Allah,
I'm fāraudan,
and he says,
verily, I am Allah.
Worship me, believe in me,
establish prayer for my remembrance,
right?
Allah, Zuponahua Tala is instructing us.
He is,
telling us that if you want to gain closeness to me, ensure that you are establishing
Salah, which is why in a like wise ayah, Allah, Sufanao and Allah explains in the Quran, he says,
Falkurunee, remember me, and I will remember you, remember you, thank me and never be
among the ungrateful.
One of the things that is very difficult, like we talked about, my dear brothers and sisters,
is gratitude.
One of the most difficult things is gratitude.
Right?
One of the most difficult things is gratitude.
And Allah Sufana-hu Atala has told us this.
He has told us that among the people,
among the believers, among the moutmans,
are those who are grateful,
those who entrust in him,
those who practice gratitude,
those who are among our Rahman,
unraheem, or Ra'Oof,
those who are among the most merciful,
the most compassionate,
the most loving, the most generous.
Allah, Sufana Mouzada
says in the Quran that he will never
burn and go beyond that of what
they can handle, among that of
what he can, you know,
handle. And it's beautiful here
because it reminds me just
specifically speaking about this, of
how when a person, right, just a
person, a single person, when a person
wants good, right?
They want good. And the key word I'm using
here, Sapan Allah, is want.
Because wants are very different than need.
right we look at things in our lives now my brothers and sisters and we all have once we all have
once we want different things you want a new phone you want a new house you want a new car you want a
relationship with this person right and one of the stories that i've gotten supan allah a minute ago
was a brother who you know he was trying to find someone to marry and you know he had the
different contestants okay i have the first person i'm gonna reject you i want that
I want the specific person.
The second person, now.
The third person, no.
But when it came to the fourth person, he was like, yeah, I like this person.
And then they rejected him, right?
And the reason I'm bringing this up is because be grateful for the opportunities
that Allah Sopana-Hu-Talah has placed around us.
Allah placed different opportunities around us.
And when you are grateful for what Allah has placed around you,
then Allah-Supana-Hu-Talah will raise you among those who are most grateful.
It's difficult to be grateful.
And especially like I just mentioned,
that story. When someone is going through these type of periodic times and they're trying to
find someone and they're trying to do all these different things. It reminds me of when I give
some people advice about friends. Friends are very difficult people sometimes, which is why
the Prophet of Allah al-a-u-Salam has told us to pick among good friends, to pick friends that are
going to uplift us, that are going to help us in our dean, that are going to help us better
our religion, better our connection with Allah. They're not going to bring us away from
Allah. One of those things is specifically picking friends and those that I said that can be hard, right?
Trying to pick a friend that's nice, that's kind, that's religious, that's going to help you, you know, that matches what you're trying to do in your life.
It's difficult. But what Allah, Supperahua Tada reassures us of is that those among you who Allah upon a Huazada puts in your life for a reason, he's made it there for a reason, right? Be grateful for it.
Allah suprana huaata has put a specific person or specific people in your life for a reason.
It's the same as saying, oh, you know, I have such and such friends or whatever, and I just, I only want these couple of friends.
But when you get that certain batch of friends, you're like, okay, these were actually bad friends.
I should have gone with that group, right?
And the reason why is what?
The reason why is because you were ungrateful for the blessing, for the opportunity that Allah subhaphanahua'u'sah gave you.
So many brothers and sisters throughout our lives.
ensure that we are grateful, ensure that we are acting upon gratitude, you know.
And there is also a beautiful hadith in which the Prophet of Allah, Allah, He was Salaam, speaks about
intentions when it comes to gratitude, expressing our gratitude through our intentions.
What I mean by that?
What I mean by that?
Our intention has to be clear when it comes to gratitude.
Our intention has to be sincere when it comes to gratitude.
And one of those things in which Allah, Supper, Allah has taught us,
in which the Prophetto Allah a Hew-Salam said in authentic Hadith,
actions are judged by intentions,
and every person will get that of what he has intended.
So if I simply am doing this just to please others,
oh, I'm grateful that we have such a such thing.
But when I'm alone, when I'm with Allah, I'm ungrateful for everything.
This is a test from Allah.
Being grateful is a huge responsibility, a huge test,
a huge fitna up from Allah, subhāara, and it becomes difficult
for us to realize the good and the bad
in things and sometimes this is why Allah's upon a how Allah
Tuponahua Tala tells us in the Quran that he has placed things upon this earth
so that we may understand it what I mean by that let me explain that
Allah supranahuaata has told us that he has placed things upon this earth that
we don't know about he has placed certain tests in our lives that we are not
going to understand immediately which is why you hear some people when they'll say
the divine hekma it's the divine understanding we don't have that understanding
right we read soot al kaff every single week in one of those things in sootil kaff is when we think
about musa alexana right he was not patient enough he didn't understand the divine hykma behind that
and that is a test of allah suhpana hua ta'a being grateful for whatever happens is a huge test
from all because you realize now you realize that i am grateful for whatever happens whether
it's good, whether it's bad, whether it's affecting me, whether it's not affecting me,
whether it's affecting family, whether it's affecting friends.
I am overall going to worship Allah.
I'm going to act upon it, right?
So my dear brothers and sisters, when Allah suhpaniahuata says,
he says, remember me and I will remember you and thank me and never be among your
and grateful, take that heavily.
Take it heavily.
Understand that Allah, Sufana, Heh, is trying to illustrate.
to us that we must be among the grateful.
We must be among the grateful so that we may never be among the ungrateful.
Why do you think he says, remember me and I remember you?
Right?
It reminds me of how I talked about at the beginning when it comes to Surah Rath.
Right?
All right.
All right, Allah, Sufana, Hewata says, verily in the remembrance of Allah, do your heart to find rest.
And Allah, Allah, saitha, in various ayes of the Quran.
And in one of the ayes in which I just stated was,
Fethkourun, and la takfourun.
that if you remember me, I will remember you.
I will bestow blessings upon you.
I will grant you goodness.
I may grant you the hickma behind certain things.
It is going to be difficult when your brothers and sisters.
You're not just going to gain gratitude in a second.
After listening to the talk, I gain gratitude.
Now, it takes time.
It takes practice.
It takes sincerity.
It takes intention.
It takes love because you can be grateful for others.
Right?
You can be grateful.
I'm grateful for yourself person.
I'm grateful.
But being grateful for yourself, I'm grateful.
But being grateful for something is very difficult.
It's very difficult.
And Allah, Sufana-ahua-Tada teaches us this.
That gratitude is very difficult.
It is.
It is very difficult.
It is among one of the most difficult of adversities in life.
It is among one of the most difficult of tests.
Which is why Allah,
subhani-h-a-ta-da, promises that those who are grateful
will receive even more blessings.
Which is why Allah-Supana-Hu-a-da states again.
in the Quran. And remember when your Lord proclaimed, if you are grateful, I will surely increase your
favor upon you. Men your brothers and sisters, ensure that no matter what we do in our lives,
we are engaging in acts of gratitude, we are engaging in acts of worship. We are ensuring that
no matter what happens, we are working on our gratitude. We're working on our clack. We're
working on our character. We're working on our conduct because how we treat others, how we
worship Allah, how we are to ones around us, people are around us. That's the true meaning, right?
But echelac goes further than that. Achlech is also how you are in situations of ease, how you are in
situations of hardship, how you are when you are high in imam, how you are when you are low in
amen. We ask Allah, Sufārault, to make us among those who are higher in amen than lower. I mean,
And one thing I would like to also bring up my dear brothers and sisters
is that as gratitude is a test from Allah supanahua'u'a-da.
It is also a blessing. It is also a berka from Allah supranahua-ta-a-da.
So my brother-sisters, don't just look at gratitude as a test.
Oh, this is a test from Allah trying to be grateful for such and such thing.
Remember their brothers and sisters,
realizing the difference between being grateful and being in-grateful.
We have an option.
We have an opportunity to be grateful.
be grateful. Thank Allah. Ask of Allah. Seek Allah's bounty. Seek Allah's mercy.
He is Allah's mercy. He is the most loving. So my dear brothers and sisters ensure that you are
loving that Allah suprana huazana has granted you the goodness, the test, all of this of gratitude.
Because Allah's upon a who is that might not have granted it to others, but he granted it to you,
didn't he? He granted it to you. So be grateful for that. And like I said, my brothers and sisters,
gratitude is indeed a blessing and a barraqa from Allah suprana-hu-ta-a-a-a-a-a-ha-a-a-a-ha.
So my brothers and brothers and sisters, no matter what we do, ensure that we are grateful for what
Allah-Suphanah has granted us, ensure that we are grateful for the things that Allah
suh-Suphanahua-Tal has placed in our lives because Allah-supana-ho-ta-ta-ta-la placed it in
our lives for a reason.
If you're struggling with different things, financial needs, you know, family, wealth,
all these different things.
and finance and wealth are the same thing.
So, if you're dealing with these things,
ensure that no matter what you do,
you are worshipping Allah, you are thanking Allah,
you are being grateful for what he has given you.
You ensure that no matter what,
no matter what you are worshipping Allah,
that you are asking of Allah,
that you are seeking Allah's forgiveness,
seeking His mercy.
We ask Allah to help us be grateful
for your countless blessings.
We ask Allah to find Allah
to grant us the strength to express
our gratitude in both times and eat and hardship,
and we ask Allah,
to forgive our sins by our shortcomings
integrate us His special mercy,
not only in this life, but mainly in the next.
