Assalamu alaqmata ala and ala
Ramadan energy, inshallah ta'a,
inshallah ta'a.
I pray that that continues on.
I know it's not going to continue for the rest of the next two days after today.
But inshallah, hopefully it will.
Dismillah, Rahman, and Rahim.
Alhambhallyllah, Ruhlalam, and Rāsa'u'llah,
and al-a-hul-ilah, and allah, and sahbihuish, and man willah.
My dear brothers and sisters,
the beautiful and blessedment of Ramadan,
is on its way. We are preparing for it now. No, we have to prepare for it beforehand,
which, inshallah, I pray most of us have, like I talked about in my talk about a month ago,
where I spoke about the month of Sha'ban and how important it is in our lives to change
and to try and become better people, my dear brothers and sisters.
Recently, and I know, inshallah, we're going to have a Q&A at the end of this event,
or day one, but
someone asked a question, they said
how do I gain the most benefit
through the Matur Ramadan? I've tried everything. I've tried
reading as much Quran. I've finished the whole
Quran multiple years in a row.
I have prayed as many prayers as I
possibly can, even past what I
normally do. They said that
I have done any and everything
you can. I've made so much du'a.
And after the Matur Ramadan
on the day of Eid, it's
like nothing happened.
It's like nothing was accomplished
throughout this beautiful Mat of Ramadan.
And this question, my dear brothers and sisters,
is the question that we have to ask ourselves.
How can we take advantage of this beautiful
and blessed month of Ramadan?
I'll tell you the first thing.
I spoke about this on Thursday,
or actually, sorry, on Wednesday.
And among the things I said is quitting bad habits.
The biggest thing, my dear brothers and sisters,
that happens in our lives
is that we go into the month of Ramadan
and we try to start new habits.
And after the month of Ramadan, the Shetan knows exactly what to penetrate.
Okay, let's just penetrate with those same old bad habits.
They didn't quit it.
They didn't lower it down.
All they did was they just put it on Pals for 30 days.
And then the 29 or 30 days.
And then, in Shallah, ta'all, after the mother of Ramadan comes back on the day of Eid,
do the exact same thing.
And sometimes it might not even be the day of Eid.
Sometimes it might be the night.
The moon is cited in that night, it might turn back to what you used to do.
This is a common problem for all of us, my brothers and sisters.
The biggest thing is that we ensure that we try to win the little battles.
What are the little battles?
The little battles are the hardships and the things that we are going through.
The habits that we have built that might not be the best,
whether that be doom scrolling, whether that be, you know, haram relationships,
whether that be drugs, whether that be anything that is displeasing to Allah,
suba, hua, whatever sin it may be.
My dear brothers and sisters, this Ramadan, we have to change.
but how we have to quit the bad habits we have to quit the things that we did wrong and we have to be grateful for the month that we actually have
it's very interesting if you look at the way in everything how everything is shaped during the month of Ramadan
the shatan is not here he is locked away for those 29 or 30 days the desires lower the spirituality and the wanting to be closer to allah supanahua
t'a'a heightens. Why though? The reasoning behind it is because Allah supana
howtala tells us I have made this month for what? To gain closeness to me, to better your
relationship with me, and mainly to stop the bad that you're doing. Because when the
shaitan is not here, when your nefs are not high, and when you are not feeling the desire
to sin continuously throughout the day, then it becomes easier for you to prioritize Allah.
But Allah supanahua-Talha also says here,
I want you to also quit the bad things you did throughout the month.
Because yes, throughout the years we have faltered.
We have made mistakes.
Okay, but I need you to quit it in order for you to gain the benefit of the month.
If we just decided, we're going to go into this month,
blindfolded, not knowing anything, not doing anything before the month.
And then when the month comes, we're going to take the blindfold off and believe,
all right, now it's time for me to learn the environment and try and, you know, work around things.
and okay.
But after that on the day of Eve,
if you go bount for it again,
you won't know where you are.
You've lost all the guidance that you have
within that month,
which is something else that I particularly talked about
on Wednesday.
I also spoke about when it comes
to preparing your nefs.
This is something else that when it comes to the question,
I'm still relating to the question.
When it comes to the question,
you have to think about,
why is it so difficult for you to worship?
You do all the acts of Ibadah.
right you're doing all these beautiful acts but the thing is it's intention which is very important
it's your nia it's your intention and most importantly it's the things that you have quit that's what
makes it easier if i just decided i'm having troubles praying salat al lehor because or salat al fudra
let's just take that one because of such and such thing or whatever it might be let's just say it
may be due to the fact that maybe late at night, I'm doom scrolling.
It may be.
And when you're doom scrolling at night, what does that do?
The shaitan is here.
He's getting you to click on things you're not supposed to click on.
He's getting you to watch things you're not supposed to watch.
He's getting you to hear and to look at things that you're not supposed to be looking at
and to do things that you're not supposed to be doing.
This is exactly why we have been taught in the sunnah of the Prophet of Allah
Allahe He was Salaim that when the time of Isha comes directly after that, either you pray or you go to bed.
Why?
Because it prevents the shaitan from inflicting upon you.
You just prayed a beautiful prayer and then you go directly to sleep.
That's it.
You have no ability to sin at that point because now you have closed out the night, which is one of the big practices as Muslims in which we have not followed.
And this is a very great sunnah.
When it comes to Salat al-Isha, and it's a lot very difficult for us now, my dear brothers and
sisters sometimes because some of us are working late at night, and may Allah supranahu
at all grant us all the ability to work during the day, to make halalad income and do it all
for his sake.
I mean, but sometimes we're working at night, and when it comes to we're working at night,
it may be that we pray Salat al-Aisha and we have to go on about work.
If you have the opportunity to find a job that during the day, take it.
to the fact that when you work at night, the shaitan definitely picks on you.
When you are up late, you now have no more prayers to come back and return to Allah,
Sufana, Hecala, except for Kiyamu'alai and to Hajid.
And those are voluntary.
They're not obligatory.
They're voluntary prayers.
You do not have to pray them.
It's best if you do, but you don't have to, right?
It's not an obligation upon every Muslim to pray Kiyamu'le and Tehjid.
then that be that. But instead you have the opportunity to pray whatever
sala you would like to pray whether that be kiyam or the hajjid or you don't have
to pray period. It's the same as the sunnets, which is why Allah
suhpaniahu atal reminds us in the Quran that sala brings you away from evil,
for immorality, from doing things that displeased Allah suhannahu
which is why that anything would happen in the life of the
Prophet of Allah a.u'll a.m. or the companions, they would immediately turn
to Salah. The reasoning behind it is because Salah is a comfort for the soul. The reasoning is because
it saves you from doing evil and it saves you from going astray. My dear brothers and sisters,
among another one of the things when it comes to quitting bad habits is ensuring that throughout
the month of Ramadan because some of us have not prepared yet enough. And I'm not going to exclude
myself out of that. I probably have not prepared enough for the month of Ramadan and that is like all of us
because there's no way to ever prepare yourself enough for the month of Ramadan.
You can never do enough.
And I don't mean food-wise, because I know, you know, a lot of times we like to prepare a lot of food.
Yes, that's good, you know.
But let's not make it just about food.
Let's make it about our Ibadah and our connection with Allah.
My dear brothers and sisters, the biggest thing that happens when it comes to our preparation for the month of Ramadan
is that we don't prepare enough.
But what do I mean by that?
What do I mean? What I mean is that when it comes to preparing, we have to prepare our nefs, our desires, our self for the mother Ramadan.
Because sometimes we get so caught up in the entertainment, we get so caught up in committing the sins that when it comes to the point of the month of Ramadan comes up, now all of that has been eliminated.
We believe that everything is going to be good.
We go into the mother Ramadan thinking that, inshallah, everything's going to be fine.
And then we come out and we are the same person as we were five seconds before we cited the moon.
Because the moment we cite the moon, everything changes for us.
Everything changes, right?
Our mood, how we act, and everything changes.
Some people that's even how they talk.
Even just the fact that someone may not go to the masajid for the whole 11 months,
but when the month of Ramadan comes around and the moon is sighted, now they go to the mashtid.
What happened the other 11 months that you weren't there at the Masajid?
What happened then?
The thing my dear brothers and sisters is that continuously, the shaitan has been continuously picking on us throughout the year, and that is fine.
The reasoning behind it, like I said in the beginning, is because it is a war with the shaitan.
You cannot win the war.
You cannot.
You will win battles.
Whether that be you are facing this sin, whether that be you are facing such a situation,
such problems in your life and you know you will win those battles if you have true and strong
imman as long as you also remember Allah and you quit the bad habits which like I said before
if you think about it the month of Ramadan is a time in which we have to quit the bad habits if we
sin that is okay it is a normal inclination as human beings to sin Allah supranahua
and who's allah created us to sin it was narrated by abu herrero rir allah and who the prophet
of allah alexi waslam said by the one in whose my hand um whose hand is my soul if you did not sin
allah supanahua ta a while would replace you with someone who would sin and he would and they
um he would replace them with someone who would sin and they would seek the forgiveness of allah and he
would forgive them i was a little um sorry i was i was messing up
on that Hadith, but may Allah forgive me, but the thing is, my dear brothers and sisters,
in this Hadith, the Prophet of Allah a.m. is telling us, it is natural for us to sin,
but for us to return back to Allah to seek his forgiveness. And when we do, if we have not sought
the forgiveness of Allah, Sufana, Hecala, it will be a very bad day for us. My dear brothers
and sisters, the point I want to make here before I go on to the next point is when it
comes to the month of Ramadan, treat it like it is your last. First off. And second of all,
treat it like it is your last. Third, I'm not going to say treat it like it's the last. I'm going to
say ensure that you are quitting the bad habits and ensure that you are building better habits
and replacement of those bad habits that you did. If you were having problems with, let's just
say, smoking, you quit that throughout the month of Ramadan, but don't just quit it throughout
At the Ramadan and the day of Eid is now a smoking celebration.
Hey guys, let's smoke.
Oh, that's an amazing thing.
No, quit it and replace it with good.
Whatever it may be that may be good instead of smoking.
Maybe it can be reading the Quran if you don't do enough of that.
Maybe it can be a dua asking Allah to help you to better that addiction that you may have to that.
Whatever it may be.
And some people aren't addicted to things that may seem bad.
Sometimes we're addicted to technology.
And honestly, that's among one of the worst things is technology.
And when we are addicted to technology, it becomes difficult for us to engage in acts of Ibadah.
It becomes difficult for us to read the Quran, even though we have, you know, Quran apps on the device.
Depending upon how we're using the device, that is what makes it difficult.
Right? If we're using it for haram means, then it becomes difficult for us to engage in acts of imbaed using that device.
My dear brothers and sisters, when it comes to an addiction that you have, replace it with something good.
If you have an addiction to the phone, okay.
But instead, get addicted to the Quran.
That will change your life.
It will.
It will change your life.
Because just as Allah, Sufana, and He says in the Quran,
Bismillah, Rahman, Rahim.
He says that indeed the Quran was sent down in the month of Ramadan.
It was revealed in the month of Ramadan as a guidance for all of humanity.
If you go to the taffsia of that as well,
Allah, Suhphan, and Hewtala is saying that the Quran is a guidance for your every day-to-day life.
It's not just meant for the month of Ramadan.
It's not just meant for when it's Shaban time.
It's not just meant for Dahlhija.
It's not just meant for Muharm, because some people like to start off the
Islamic New Year, right?
I said it twice, but the Islamic New Year with maybe the Quran.
They want to try to better themselves at that point.
Madur brothers and sisters, we ask Allah, Sufhanahua Tala,
to allow for us to gain a very close relationship with his book
and to allow for us to be like the Prophet of Allah, Allah, Aaliyu,
to live from the Quran, my brother and sisters.
But among another one of the things I want to mention about the Quran
is that Allah, Sufhanahua Tala says that the Quran is a guidance for all of humanity.
There's also something else that Allah
Sapanahu Atala mentions in this verse
When he says it's a guide for all of humanity
He specifically speaks and he's saying
All of humanity not just believers
Not just disbelievers
Not just men, not just women, not just children
And not just the elderly
He is saying it is for all of humanity
He is not just saying it's for the righteous
He's not just saying it's for the pious
He's not just saying it's for those who
may be dealing with problems and life
He is saying it is for all of humanity
At all times
He is saying that the Quran is a guidance for every situation that you have going on.
There is an ayat in the Quran that it will be for any and everything you're going through.
Whether that be, you're going through repetitive problems with family.
Whether that be, you are going through problems with, you know, wealth.
There are things in the Quran that help you with that.
Whether that be, you're going through sinning.
You are continuously sinning if you cannot stop.
You try to find ways to stop.
There is something in the Quran just for that.
My dear brothers and sisters, throughout the month of Ramadan, our amen is going to, throughout the year, our amen is going to go up and down like a wave.
Right?
The reasoning why I'm mentioning this, because I just spoke about sinning.
Sometimes we scold ourselves because we sin and we make a promise that we know we cannot keep.
We say, you know what?
I'm going to stop doing such and such thing
and you know
I'm going to stop doing this
and I'm going to stop doing that
and this act and that act
and then when it comes back
and we do it again
then we scold ourselves
and we get very upset at ourselves
well Allah Sufanao
has mercy on you
he says don't worry
Allah saitha says
all yeah I bada
he'sraful
ala onfutim
he says do not bespere
from rachmati
he says do not
despair in the
mercy of Allah for Allah supanahua
Allah is always merciful
he's like do not despair do not
lose hope in the mercy of Allah
Allah suprana huata will always forgive
his servants and he's also telling us
do not be so hard upon yourselves
yes you have sin you have gone against yourself
you're transgressed upon yourself
but that is okay
it's like I said before it is a natural
human inclination to
sin because Allah
suprana hua Tala made us
to sin
And the brothers and sisters, it is natural for us to sin.
It is natural for our man to go up and down.
It's not always just going to be up and it's not always just going to be down unless we make it like that.
We make it so far like that.
And the way to do that is to quit the bad things that we are doing.
And I know I'm saying it as if it may be easy.
And it's very difficult because we all have things that we're dealing with.
And it may be very difficult for us to stop it.
We may promise ourselves, I am going to stop committing such and such sin.
And then maybe the next day, maybe two, three days later, we commit the same sin.
Sometimes people have different methods of trying to do things.
Some people want to maybe try and turn their phone off before Isha time or after Isha, directly after Isha,
so that when it comes to them going to bed, they won't have to worry about their phone.
Okay.
Sophan Allah, these are good methods, but the best method I'll give you,
by your brothers and sisters is making dua to Allah, Safana, al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-sincerely.
sincerely if you feel regret for the sins that you committed if you have a feeling of remorse
for the things that you did that were wrong and you know they were wrong and you regret doing
those things and you seek allah supanahua ta aided forgiveness sincerely he will forgive you
this is actually a quality of nefsa l'awama which i spoke about in my talk speaking about
shaban this is a quality that we must have my dear brothers and sisters the month of ramadan
is a time in which we want to gain
Nafs al-Mutamain.
What is that?
Nafs al-Mutam-A-N is the highest rank.
It is a rank in which you are content
with the plan of Allah, Sufana, His Allah.
You always seek forgiveness.
You're always trying to better yourself.
You always ensure that no matter what happens,
even if you do a good deed,
you want to multiply and do another good deed.
You are staying on top of yourself
with the good that you do
and you're staying on top of yourself
with the bad that you do.
You know that it's human inclination to sin,
know it's human inclination to do things that are wrong, to say things.
This is why the Prophet of Allah, Allah, He waslam, told us to ensure that we are careful
with the things that we say and the careful that with things with the things that we do.
He told us that when you say something, you cannot take it back after you said it.
That is one of the things in which is very important, my dear brothers and sisters.
If you truly want to have a true connection with Allah, Sufana-ho-ta-ta-a-ta-ha, remember one of
the most important things.
It's not going to come overnight.
After listening to this talk today, on the beautiful day of Friday, it's not just going to come.
You're not going to wake up and say, al-h-h-h-l-l-l-h-l-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-harm-a-harmu-hys-h
than I was yesterday, and, you know, now I have no more problems with such and such sin and doing this thing and doing that thing,
and I have no problem in my life, and now I have attained the quality of nifsal mutamain,
and now I can just go, and I can just live my life according to the sunnah.
I've learned the whole Quran.
I have memorized this.
I understand these different verses.
It doesn't work that way.
Because my dear brothers and sisters,
all of us have self-improvement we have to do.
The actual meaning of the reasoning why this event is titled,
reinvent yourself this Ramadan,
is because each Ramadan, I realize for myself,
it goes by like a blur.
It goes by like a blur.
We are trying to engage in acts of Ibadah.
But then on the day of Eid or maybe a couple of days away later
or maybe weeks later, you turn back to the same things you did before the month of Ramadan,
and it feels as though you have let yourself and Allah, Sufano, or how it down.
And honestly, my dear brothers and sisters, that's actually a very good thing,
to feel as though you've let yourself and Allah safanao'u'll down.
Why? It's actually a very high sign of your iman.
It means that you have a better, you have a better connection to Allah than you really think.
Your amen is actually very high in the eyes of Allah, Sufano, Hewatea,
Because if you feel regret and you feel as though you let Allah Zuphanahu
and a while that is among one of the highest qualities of your Eman,
is when you feel as though you have let your creator down.
Who tells us that you are going to make mistakes and you're going to feel down sometimes?
You're going to fall, but get back up and try again.
My dear brothers and sisters, I spoke about this in a Friday quabba as well for the month of Ramadan,
and that was tukwa.
There are five levels of our tukwa that we should be.
be working on during the month of Ramadan and among one of them is the first level and that is
the basic level and that is awareness of Allah supanahua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
and the only way for us to do this my dear brothers and sisters at the foundational level
this involves being aware of Allah supanahua-a-a-a-a-a-existent and his commands this awareness prompts us to fulfill our
obligations and our acts of ibada such as the five-daily prayers fasting during the month of
Ramadan, you know, fulfilling our zakat, our charity, doing things that are pleasing to
Allah, Sufhani, and Allah, as the Prophet of Allah a.m. said, fear Allah, suhannahu,
whatever you are. He is speaking to us directly saying that no matter where you are, what
you are going through, fear Allah, subhanna, hua, because Allah, subhanna, Heads you at all
times. Taqua is not just being God conscious. It is also a means of ensuring that no matter what
happens. Because if you really think about the word God conscious or takwa actually means
remembering Allah. So what it actually means doesn't just mean remembering, Allah's watching,
Allah's watching. That's a part of it. But it also means that Allah supanahua has sent me here
for a purpose to fulfill a purpose. And that is to worship him. And when the five daily prayers
come in instead of neglecting them, one of the signs that you have taqua and remembrance and
God, a consciousness of Allah, supan,
or His Allah is that when the five daily prayers come in,
you go fulfill them.
It doesn't matter what you're doing.
Whether that be work,
whether that be trying to work on a project,
or maybe you are spending time with family,
there are times and there are Hadiths
in which it is noted that the Prophet of Allah,
when the azzan would go off,
he would turn into a completely different person.
If he was speaking, he would stop.
Whatever he was doing, he would stop.
This is a level of,
of taqa we want my dear brothers and sisters but it cannot just simply be practiced throughout the month
of Ramadan and everything I'm saying in this one talk I'm not saying we need to practice everything
in the month of Ramadan just this these 30 these 29 or 30 days I am indeed saying my dear brothers
and sisters that throughout the month of Ramadan the whole month we need to start building the
foundation level which is the level I'm explaining now and that is fearing a loss ofana
realizing and being aware of Allah saffana hua a
following his commandments ensuring that you are fulfilling
the prayers the five daily prayers the acts of ibaida the things that
allah suhpaniah has told us are obligatory the things that he told us we're
supposed to do we're not supposed to do this is awareness of
allah saffano hua by your brothers and sisters
among the second level is the taqua of the heart this is the sincerity
and your nia or we say in iqlas
We say, or sorry, not Iqlas, we say in Arabic, we say,
Iqlas, well, Nia.
Iqlas means sincerity, Nia means intention.
We say, Iqlas one Nia, sincerity and intention.
My dear brothers and sisters, as we progress on,
and I'm saying the next level of tukwa,
which is our sincerity and our intentions,
it is not enough just to perform the act
of Ibaida that Allah,
has told us to perform the five daily prayers.
Okay, the acts of zakat,
because all of this is worship of Allah,
and so on.
You need to do more.
This is the one of sincerity and intention.
The Prophet of Allah, Aalai, He waslam,
emphasized the importance of intentions
when he said,
actions are judged by intentions
and every person will have that
of what he has intended.
Meaning that whatever you intend to do,
you're going to get the reward of that.
You know, it's a fascinating point that I've mentioned a lot,
and I actually mentioned it a good amount of my talks before,
and that is the fact that when it comes to doing good deeds,
and it may be multiplied even more throughout the month of Ramadan,
only Allah, Sufana-a-ta-a-ta-la knows,
but when it comes to doing a good deed,
if you have the intention to do so,
whether that be you pray to Hajid,
whether that be you want to help someone,
whether that be you want to, you know,
fulfill an act of ibada or worship,
of Allah-Supana-a-ha-a-a-ha-ha-ha, whatever it might be,
You get the reward for your sincere intention, as long as it only for the sake of Allah, Sufana-Hu-Tal.
And then to go through with the action, the biggest part and the best part of it is your action.
The action.
If you actually go through, you made the intention the night before, inshallah-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-moh, I am going to pray to hajid in the morning.
The last third of the night before dawn, insh-a-a-a-a-m going to pray.
And then you end up waking.
and praying, you get double reward.
You get reward for the intention and for the action.
If you did not end up doing the action,
you still get reward for the intention,
as long as it was solely for the sake of Allah,
saanahua, not for pleasing anyone else,
not for I perform to Hajid.
Now I can go tell everyone, hey, I pray to Hajid.
No, you do it just for the sake of Allah,
Suhpana, His Allah.
My brothers and sisters,
among the third category of
takwa in actions,
is avoiding sin.
That is the third level of tukwa, which is reflected in our actions.
This involves actively avoiding sinful behavior and striving to adhere to the teachings of the Prophet
Allah Allah al-a-u-Slam and Islam.
And, you know, the beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan serves as a training ground.
It's like a double training ground.
You think about the month of Shaaban as the first training ground.
The slow we work your way up training ground.
The month of Ramadan is, all right, we're going as hard as we can with a beautiful.
bit of balance, a bit of balance. We're still going as hard as we can, but with a bit of balance,
we go as hard as we can, and then when we hit a certain quarter, we try to go past that,
and we try to continue on going, and we continue going, and then after the month of Ramadan on the
day of Eid, up until, inshallah, ta'allah, the next Ramadan, now you're fighting the battles.
And throughout the whole year, it's a whole war. But every day is a battle, and all those battles
for those days equal up to a whole war.
and sisters, among the fourth category of Takwa is our good conduct, which this all
wraps around each other. We talked about Akhlaq before, but good conduct is very important
as well, my dear brothers and sisters, ensuring that we have good al-Aklak, good character.
As we cultivate taqua, my dear brothers and sisters, it should also manifest in our character
and our interactions with others. The Prophetus Allah al-a-u-Salam was known for his exemplary character
and he said, the most beloved of Allah supanahua'a as servants to him are those who have the best of character.
I just want you to ponder upon this for a moment.
The Prophet of Allah al-Alehi was salam had the best of character.
And he even said authentically that I was sent to perfect good character.
He was sent to teach us how to perfect good character, not just in the month of Ramadan,
not just having compassion for people throughout the month of Ramadan and giving and ensuring that we are performing our prayers
and trying to get better, but throughout the entirety of our lives.
Ensuring that every single moment of our lives is a moment to better ourselves.
Ensure it.
And I'm saying it to myself first.
Ensure that every moment of our lives is a moment to better ourselves and try to become better
people.
Because only Allah, Suhp.
Allah is the one who knows our intentions.
He is the only one who will judge us.
And my dear brothers and sisters, as I said in this hadith,
among one of the most beloved to
Allah, subhphanahu,
and the servants of Allah
who have exemplary character,
they have great character.
And the Prophet of Allah Allah al-a-Hu-Salam
had the best of character.
We should aim to try and follow that.
We ask Allah, Safanahu,
what-Talāla, to allow for us to follow it
and to follow in the footsteps
of the Prophet of Allah-A-Hu-Selam.
The final level,
my dear brothers and sisters, I would like to mention here,
is the taqua of the soul,
the deep connection that we have with Allah
subhannahu ata a la the highest level is the profound connection with allah supanahua
like i talked about and i talk on wednesday i keep mentioning that one in my shabban talk but specifically
i spoke about how it is important to focus on allah supanahua ta'all this month in the month of
ramadan focusing on allah supanahua a while we might not get a chance to see the next ramadan
but if we take what we learn from this ramadan where we implement what we did good what we did
bad we eliminate and we try to become better over all people, then we focus on Allah
Supanahua T'a and obeying him, remembering him, ensuring that we're performing
vicar and remembering him and ensuring that we are performing a dua and performing our prayers
on time, fulfilling them for his sake, then Allah, Supanahua Tala will reward us.
And among one of those things, my dear brothers and sisters, like I said, is the connection
that you have with Allah saanahua ta'a where one's heart is filled with love and remembrance
for their creator. This is the level that is characterized by a constant vicar, like I said,
remembrance of Allah, Sufana, and a desire to seek his pleasure in all aspects of life.
And Allah, Sufani, and He states in the Quran, indeed, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find
rest? So clearly here, Allah, Sufana, His Allah is telling us to strive to remember him,
for we, our hearts will have rest and we will find rest.
My dear brothers and sisters
We should strive to increase our acts of
Ibada such as reciting the Quran
Making a Dua and engaging in
Dikr to deepen our relationship
with Allah Sufana
Heru'll T'u'a'a
My dear brothers and sisters
Ensure that you are remembering
Allah, you are practicing the Quran
You are trying to better yourself
And better those around you
But first off better yourself
My dear brothers and sisters
We ask Allah saanahuahua Tala
To grant this Ramadan to be a blessed time
for us a time in which we are able to remember him and understand the essence of what
this want is truly about. We ask Allah, Sufano, Hewatea, to figure with our sins, our shortcomings
and granted to special mercy, not only in this life, but mainly in the next. My dear brothers
and sisters, inshallah, we will start the Q&A, inshallah, Allah, we will start the Q&A.
Inshallah, Rahmuhman, al-Hamulah, al-Humulah, Allah, al-a-Raw-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-hahahaehbihaha.
My brothers and sisters, we decided to pick on
only 10 of the questions, which were, as we call it,
F&Q, or F-A-F-N-Q, which is frequently asked questions.
So we decided just to choose out of 10 of them.
And they were particularly about the month of Ramadan.
Inshallah, I have the screen here,
so I'll be looking at the questions just in case you wonder.
But inshallah ta'a-a-a-law, my brothers and sisters,
we're gonna try to answer as many questions as we can,
as quick as we can.
And inshallah-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-sisters.
So, Bismillah, Amanaheem.
The first question is, what is the month of Ramadan?
The month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar,
and it is observed by Muslims worldwide around the world, right?
It is a month in which we try to get closeness to Allah.
We try to break bad habits.
We try to build a relationship with Allah.
We try to ensure that no matter what happens,
we are perfecting our a chlac and we are trying to perfect our achlac we can never perfect it enough
because like i've said before the prophet sallah alexa alexa he had the best of aqqaq he had the best of
character um and is also a time in which the korean was revealed is a time in which we should
try to build closeness to the korean not to try and finish it but also to try and observe it
to try and learn from it to try and practice it in our daily lives and the reason
reasoning why I say that is so that we do not get too caught up in it. So,
inshallah, we'll go to the next question. Why do Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan?
Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan as an act of worship, as an act of
Ibadah to Allah, Sufana'u'u'u'a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a as connection to him.
And fasting also helps us develop self-discipline, self-control, and empathy for those
less fortunate than us. And it is also a time for spiritual reflection and increased
devotion in our abada and trying to build a closer relationship with Allah saffano huiata so the third
question we have are what are the rules of fasting during the month of Ramadan so during the
month of Ramadan Muslims abstain from food and drink you know anything that is you know
displeasing to Allah sawanahua a while that be you know smoking or drinking or you know
anything of that sort, which we shouldn't be doing in the first place, but if we have, you know,
problems of that start, we ask Allah, Safanahua-Tal to make it easy upon all of us, and also intimate
relationships with our spouses, as it is not permissible throughout the fasting period.
Allah-Sahana-hu-Talah says in the Quran that he has made it permissible in the nighttime hours
and the time that we are not fasting during in Suratil-Bakara.
And he specifically says, and the tafsafehr of that is due to the fact that we know you can
restrain yourself sometimes and we cannot control ourselves and that is one of the
reasonings in which Allah sa'u'u'u'u'a made it permissible at night when you are not
fasting when you are not in the state of remembrance of Allah and fasting particularly
to have that relationship with your spouse. Question four is what is the what is the
significance of sohor and iftar? Sohor is the meal before the sunrise. It is the meal
before dawn.
Which you try not to eat too much, you're trying to eat too little.
You can follow the sunnah of the Prophet's Allah a la He was
in which he had three dates and some water and that was all.
Others try to follow it where they decide to have a pizza,
you know, some burgers, you know, some french fries and things of that sort.
I like me, you can make it easy upon all of us.
But, you know, try to keep it in a manner that is pleasing to Allah,
to Allah, Sufana, Hewit.
And the last part was Soho.
Iftar.
And iftar is a time in which we gather as Muslims community, as an Ummah, to celebrate the ending of our fasting for the sake of Allah, suhphanahu, and a halal means, and also a means in which we break our fast with, like I said before, you can have some dates and some water.
That is completely good.
You can have some dates and water, some mosa, some fruit maybe.
And try not to overeat or eat too much as it may make it difficult for you to pray.
your prayers. So,
so,
number five was can children fast during the mother Ramadan?
Fasting is obligatory for the adult Muslims and for those who turn of the age of puberty.
It's a ruling and it's actually, you know,
debated upon upon many scholars of whether or not, you know,
people who turn 13 or, you know, that sort have to fast.
If they want it fast, your children want to fast,
a hundred of la they can.
Children don't have to fast though.
if they don't want to, and Allah
Sufanohu'u'u'u'a knows best, and we'll leave it at that
inshallah.
So number six is what is Leilat al-Qadr, and why is it so important
as Muslims?
Leil to Qadr, or the knight of decree, is a
night in which Allah, Sufanahu, Tala, forgives all of our sins,
and our duas can be accepted and answered, especially in the last
nights. It is mainly in the last ten nights on the odd nights.
It is a time in which we try to build even more closeness to Allah.
it is a time in which we try to close
on our Ramadan the best way we can
and try to experience the
best means that we can.
We ask Allah, Supanah,
to grant us the ability to see
and see Ramallah to Lail to al-Qadr, inshallahada.
There are particular signs,
but we're not going to get too far into that.
Inshallah, hold on you to scroll
to see the next one.
So the next question was
what is Zakat al-Fitr?
Who and who is required
to give it. So the Zakat al-Fitr is a charity that is given to the poor at the end of the month of
Ramadan before the Eid of Fitter prayer. It is obligatory for the Muslim, for every Muslim,
who has the means to do so, and it serves to purify their fast, their money, and ensure that
those in need can also celebrate Eid as well. So the eighth question,
Are there any exceptions to fast during the mother of Ramadan?
Yes, there are beautifully.
And, you know, subhanna, Allah, Allah, Sufana-ho-ta-a-ta-la,
made it easy upon us when it comes to this.
If you are traveling, you know, if you are ill or for a woman,
if she has her cycle or things of that sort, pregnant, nursing,
these are things which Allah, suhpano-ho-ta-a-ha has told us
that you can abstain from fasting for that period of time.
So those who cannot fast due to maybe health reasons or, as I said before, whether you're pregnant or you have your menses, whether that is you could, whether it is those things, you can, you abstain from fasting for the sake of Allah, Sufana, and it is completely permissible due to that.
Question nine is how can one maximize the benefits of Ramadan?
I mentioned that as well in here.
That is, my brothers and sisters, to ensure that you maximize spirit.
benefits and you maximize in trying to quit the bad things that you did and
trying to uplift the major you try to you try to build a better relationship
with Allah saffano who it's and gave benefit from those things and among
one of the other things is very important my job as sisters throughout the month of
Ramadan is trying to ensure that you build connections to people you
forgive people just as you want to be forgiven by Allah safanahua
Tala like there's an authentic hadith in which the Prophet of Allah a
will sallem says whoever does not show mercy or forgiveness to one
all will not do the same for him so ensuring that we are trying to pray more we
are trying to ensure that we are you know gaining closeness to a law building a
better relationship with him and trying to overall better our
chlac and our character throughout this beautiful mat of Ramadan that's right there is
what it's truly about so the final question is what is Ida al-fitur and how is
it celebrated I need to scroll to
see this okay um is that is that the question okay that's question so yeah eat al feteer
is the celebration at the end of the mother ramadan um it is celebrated with communal prayers
and you know uh feasting to a certain degree you know not like i said not eating too much
um it is a means in which you give gifts to everyone as much as you can it is a time in which
you celebrate in the obedience of Allah,
suhannahu, and Allah, you make sincere dua,
before more vicar, you try to pray more,
you try to do everything more on that day as well,
as you did throughout the month of Ramadan.
Due to the fact that Allah,
Allah, Supperna, how to us to see the month of Ramadan,
and, inshallah, ta'allah, change throughout the mat of Ramadan.
He allowed for us to see the beautiful day of Eid,
and it is a day in which it is a time in which we are supposed
to also give as well.
Like I said before, is a cat al-fitter,
also sharing with others, whether that be meals, whether that be, you know, money or, you know, anything of that sort,
especially with friends and family and, like I said, giving Zacata al-Fitur so that everyone in this omma can ensure that we celebrate eat al-Fitha-Thah for the sake of Allah,
Allah, Siphanah, hua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
Inshallah a ta a lot of my dear brothers and sisters will pick up tomorrow on day two
For this event re-infit yourself this Ramadan
I pray that everyone benefited
I ask Allah safanahua to forgive me if I made any mistakes or something you can wrong
And to grant us all a blessed rest of our day
We're acho du lai al-a'amdullilu'llah
Andhālamu al-aam a laiomatulahi and borgmatulahi
Andi and bribacat to my brothers and sisters
