I amdhallyh, in alhemdh,
and we'rehneemu, and we'reheneh, and we're
hulhulhah, and I'mhulhah
and Iuuu'u'u'n from shirourourourou of ourfutina
and from s'i'hah m'u delah m'u'u'a ma'hrae'uah
and I shuduahdhaw'u'nhah,
and shhraudu'an Muhammad and abidu'r
a russuuuuuu.
A praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the world,
I testify that there is none worthy of worship except the law,
that Muhammad peace be upon him is his slave and final messenger.
Assalamu alaqum, and barakatu, my dear brothers and sisters.
Uzakum Allah, Khayman, for attending this talk today.
I pray that Allah, Sufana'u-ta-a-ta-ha is blessing us with all of us with a blessed Friday.
I pray that Allah, sub-a-a-a-ha has blessed us with the ability to continue to get closer to him.
I pray that Allah, Sufahana-ha-ha-ha has blessed us with the ability to resooth a calf.
and do our Friday daily duties, and I pray that Allah's upon our Talah allows for us to all
see this Friday and see the next Friday.
And if it is willed, many more to come.
I mean, my brothers and sisters, today I want to speak about a very vital aspect of our faith.
And that is the importance of repentance and the urgency that we as believers,
as humans, as servants of Allah
Supanahua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a must take.
The urgency of turning back to Allah before it's too late.
So, Tauba, repentance,
is one of the most beloved acts to Allah.
In the Quran, Allah says,
indeed, Allah loves those who repent
and loves those who purify themselves.
This is Surat 2, Ayah 222.
So as it says in this ayah,
as Allah'supana-u-sa-a-a-da directly is telling us from this ayah, he says that he loves those
who repent and loves those who purify themselves.
Repentance is not a duty, it's not a task, it's not a chore.
Repentance is a purification.
is a means of purification, a means of closeness to Allah, subhpaniahu, and the means of closeness to our creator.
And in this verse, in this ayah of the Quran, Allah subhannahuita-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a is highlighting the significance of repentance in our relationship with him.
It is a means of returning to him, acknowledging our shortcomings and seeking his forgiveness, saying, yeah, Allah, I messed up, I committed this sin.
I did not intend to do it
to displease you
I pray that you're forgiven for it
and the Prophet of Allah Allah Allah Allah al-a-u-Salam
emphasized
the importance of repentance
in numerous hadiths
as one of them he said
all of the children of Adam are sinners
and the best of sinners
are those who repent
so in this hadith
this is a reminder
that the Prophet Salah Allah al-a-u-Salam tells us.
It is distinguishing that we need to seek forgiveness
and strive for improvement as believers.
That, yes, we are going to sin,
we are going to make mistakes,
we are going to have up and down moments in our amen.
Our amen is not just going to be just straight all the time.
Our amen is like, you know, like a wave.
The wave is not always just going to be smooth.
It's not going to be smooth sailing the whole time.
You're going to have very rough moments.
You're going to have very calm moments.
You're going to be at your high point
and you're going to be at your low point.
And repentance is not merely a verbal expression.
Repentance comes from the heart.
Repentance is a seer.
You can't commit a sin and then after you commit the sin, repent.
And then say, all right, let's commit the sin again.
your repentance will not be completed your repentance will not be accepted by allah suhpana hua
and if we truly have the genuine regret for our sins we say you know we want to stop the sinful
behavior and i'm trying to i'm trying to make sure that i turn to alasupana huazala
that I repent, that I improve myself as a believer, as a person,
and of course as a servant to Allah, Sufana-a-ta-a-da.
And Allah-Supanao-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ha has also told us in the Quran,
as he says, and turn to Allah and repentance, all of you.
O believers, that you might succeed.
The Surah 24, aya-31.
So this call to action is a reminder.
It's not just verbal words saying, yeah, Allah, please forgive me.
All right, cool, and let's commit the sin again.
Because you continue to fall into that sin.
This is a reminder that repentance is essential in our success in this life and in the next life.
You know, we must remember that the doors of mercy are always open.
You know, Allah, Sufahua-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-for, the most forgiving.
and he invites us to return to him, no matter how grave our sins may be.
And he says in the Quran, say, oh, my servants, who have believed, fear your Lord,
for those who do good in this world in this world is good.
And the earth of Allah is spacious.
Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.
So this ayah encourages us to have hope in Allah's mercy and to act.
Righteously. However, we must also be mindful of the time we have as the Prophet
Sallah Allah a Hewallah a la Hewalehālam warned us about the dangers of procrastination
in seeking repentance. He, so Allah, Allah al-a-hu-sul-a-wa-ha-ha-o-sand-said, take advantage of the five
before five, your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth
before your poverty, your free time before your busy time, and your health before your old-age, and
your life before death.
This hadith serves as a powerful reminder that we should not delay our repentance,
as we may never have the opportunity to repent.
We don't know when our time is to come.
We don't know if it's going to be a day.
We don't know if it's going to be 10 minutes.
We don't know if it's going to be 10 seconds or even in this moment.
So we must reflect on the importance of repentance.
And I want us to also consider how it impacts our relationships with others.
When we seek forgiveness from Allah, we are reminded of the importance of forgiving others.
The Prophet of Allah, He was said,
The merciful are shown mercy by the merciful.
Be merciful on earth, and you will be shown mercy from above.
So this principle of mercy extends beyond our relationship with Allah.
It shapes how we interact with our fellow human beings.
My dear brothers and sisters, I pray that Allah,
so, Allah, makes it easy for us in purifying our hearts, drawing back to him.
I pray that Allah'sp.m.uptu'llaaaaa forgives our sins
and allows for us to seek his forgiveness as we navigate our daily lives.
And I pray that Allah, subhpanao Allah, allows for us to all gain closeness to him.
I mean, and Iqulahanao da'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a.
and a lot of all right of allahmuthal allah and abracatim our brothers and sisters
