In the name Allah and Rahman and Rahim, al-Humdhulah,
Ruppilalil Allah, and al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Ask Allah, suba-a-a-a-a-aa to forget for our sins
and I shall come into regards a special mercy,
not only in this life, but mainly in the next.
My brothers and sisters,
Sapan Allah, it has been a busy weekend, it has been an amazing weekend,
suhphanal Allah.
I did a talk on Friday.
I'm going to talk on Saturday and shhallah
I'm going to do a talk today.
Now, specifically I'm doing this talk
title language.
Salah is for everything part two
for the reason that I did a Juma talk
and I pray that we watched it
you know, but I did a Juma talk
and I talked about Sala
and at the end of it unscriptedly
I said, inshallah
I'm going to break this into a second part
because there is so much more I wanted to go
over so much more I wanted to cover that I didn't get the opportunity to cover it. So I decided
why not, inshallah, break up this Jumatalk into a part two, get my, um, allow for myself to gather,
you know, the information I need and, you know, to start talking, inshallah, on Sunday,
rather than trying to put all of this into one Jumatalk. And, you know, particularly the reason
why I don't do any of my Juma talks long is for the reason that the Prophet of Allah
to keep your Juma
talks short or to keep your talks
about Allah supranahah short because
people lose interest, you know?
People lose interest, people lose focus on what you're
truly talking about.
So it's important for us to
recognize that when it comes to doing our talks
do them to a condensed period
a period where people are going to be able
to understand it, a period of people are going to
be able to sit here and actually focus on what you're
saying. Don't do a Juma talk for an hour
because no one's going to be able to focus for
an hour listening to you.
uh rather break it up into segments or just do a shorter drum talk which is why you know it is
soon not to keep your doing talks between 10 to 15 minutes and that's pretty much so uh a standard time
it's a good time especially for a lot of people so with all that out of the way inshallah i wanted to do
a part two um for my talk about sala is for everything in really just going deeper upon sula in
recognizing um recognizing the truth about why it may be difficult for us to focus on our
sala and why you know sometimes uh it might be difficult for us to wake up for tahjid
you know and sapano i had a beautiful story by a brother which i talked about yesterday in yesterday's
talk which was by about the brother who traveled from saudi arabia to egypt who went
there to visit his family for his job interview whatever and lost his passport and you know long
so he's short he ended up telling me at the end of this comment because I said it was a long
comment he ended up telling me at the end of the comment he said so if I got the interview he said
but the one thing that I wanted more than anything was um he was like it wasn't my passport
it wasn't my family he was like but he wants the strength he wants the strength of his
to hud to truly kick in within his life he wants that true uh
beauty from his to hudry you know he knows he has he has true yakin or sincerity within his
heart uncertainty that he knows that he's praying these two hundred prayers and they're not going to go to
waste but these two hundred prayers are going to go to allah supranahuitan they're going to go to
his worldly efforts and his uh hereafter effort so he was also going into deeper and uh you know
explanation of everything that happened throughout that time period you know and supranah it was a good talk
yesterday. It was about 18 minutes, a couple of minutes longer than my joint talk. But what I do
want to really talk about today is sometimes why it may be difficult for us to worship Allah
Saphanu'u'u'adha, why it may be difficult for us to focus on our relationship with Allah
upon our own. You know, and just as we talk about in pretty much so primarily almost all of my
talks, that is building a relationship with Allah's upon our wadda. You know, the one thing you
really will find with pretty much so everything you do.
is that if you truly have sincerity and love
and you truly have the intention to do this for the sake
of a law suprana huatana and to only please him
then everything goes towards your relationship
with a law suprana huatana and building a relationship with him
you know sometimes we narrow down in our minds that
building a relationship with a law sapana huaana
is only uh it's only an effort through your sara
only an effort through your vicar
but truly is a effort through your remembrance of him
Because truly, if you really think about it,
Sala, if you break it down, is all remembrance of Allah supan, or whatchada.
It is a conversation with him.
It is remembrance with him.
You are remembering him, and you are gaining closeness to him,
and also a reward throughout your sara.
This is exactly why we bring up sometimes how we pray our sala
is very difficult for us to focus, right?
And the one thing I want us to recognize when it comes to our sala
is recognizing that the reason we can't focus is because of our relationship with Allah.
It is our poor lack of maybe remembrance.
You know, it may be our poor lack of concentration on him.
It may be our poor lack of focus, you know, in love and sincerity.
Because just as we love things in this dunya, and we can sincerely focus on them, you know,
sometimes when it comes to our Lord and Allah,
sometimes we're not focused enough and we're not sincere enough to do this act.
Which is why I want to bring up an example of how, and I know a lot, not everybody plays video games, well, you know, when I was younger, I used to really, really play video games a lot.
Pretty much almost it every day, you know, except for school days and stuff like that.
But play video games, right?
And you're so focused in that somebody can be calling you right now at this moment, and you wouldn't hear it.
Like somebody could seriously be right there tapping you and you wouldn't really even feel it, right?
You wouldn't acknowledge it.
And I always think about that now of how.
you can be so locked into this game you can be so locked into this temporary thing um you know in
this temporary distraction that it captivates your whole attention right and when it comes to our
sala that should be the same thing that happens when we are praying our sala nothing should
matter at this point you know nothing should bother us we should be completely locked in this
Sala should gather all of our attention and place it right in this point.
And going on to the level of Allah, Suhaphanah, He is the one who allows for us to pray our sala.
He is the one who allows for us to have the chances day after day after day after day to pray our sada.
You know, and I want us to really go deeper upon this as well when it comes to our relationship with Allah.
You know, sometimes, and I brought us up in my Jumah talk, but sometimes when we are sinning,
We were committing sins.
When we are doing acts that are not pleasing to Allah supan and Hu'adallah, we are furthering
ourselves away from Allah.
And this separation from Allah supranahua'u'u'i'a is also a result of separation in our
sala.
You know, you have a separation in your sala, you wonder, why can I focus?
Why can I gain true closeness and true connection and true love for this sara?
And the true reason is because of our closeness or our distance to a lot.
Allah's upon and sometimes through our sinning, you know, throughout our lives, we sinned so much
and we do not repent or we continue sinning and we do not recognize that we are, you know,
furthering our relationship with Allah supranahua'a'u-ta-a-a-a-a-a-ha. And it becomes a barrier
between us and Allah, so when it comes to our Salah, it is difficult for us to pray. It is
difficult for us to recognize the true blessing, the true barra within our Salad. We just see
the Salah as another duty, as another chore.
as another ritual of our lives, which is why the Prophet
Salah al-a-Hu-Salam has taught of so many different duas
and Allah, Allah, Allah, has revealed to the Prophet of His Islam
so many different duas that we can say, you know,
and a means of us learning.
You know, and the question is, are we willing to take the time
to learn this, right?
Learning these new duas.
Like, yes, we know one of the duas before starting,
reciting our serfāt al-Fatihah, which might be,
you know, supranagallah,
but there are a whole bunch of other ones, right?
And the Prophet of Allahi'u-Sulam has told us not just to narrow it down just to one,
but to expand to know other ones,
which there's authentic Hadith of the Prophet of Allah,
that Iwbukhra, or Siddiquu, Allah, Allah, Thal, Anhu,
was watching the Prophet of Allah al-a-Hu-Sulam while he was praying,
and he was sitting there, like, watching him,
and the Prophet of Allahi-Sulam is reciting this long duat.
And Abu Bakr is asking, he's like, what dua were you reciting in that period?
And it was a beautiful dua, it was a long dua.
And, inshallah, you know, the thing about it is this.
When it comes to us learning new duas, and I want to kind of trail off of what I was just saying for a second.
But when it comes to learning du du duas, we have to recognize that all of this ties back to our love and sincerity.
Because if we're doing this, because I said something, then it's not going to be meaningful.
But if we're doing this because we want to gain closest to Allah,
subahana-a-da-a-da, because we want to strengthen our connection to him,
then this is when it becomes a actual, a beautiful act.
This is when it becomes a true connection through this du'a.
Which is why the Prophet of Allah, when he was explaining this dua,
he was explaining and he was saying to Abu Qaqar al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ha-a-ha-ha-a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
he was saying that this dua that I am saying is a variation of the normal dua that you say
throughout your sara you know sometimes we just make our quick dua and then we go
al-hahiliu'll be able to al-aamini right and we start off with suratil fatiha but he was saying
that this dua has a deeper meaning than just the surface level in shhallah in another episode
I do want to get into this dua that he said I want to get into specific duas that we can't learn
but specifically since I want to go on to another topic about our sala I want us to also recognize why
if you realize every single psalah we are reciting suratil fatih to start of our sala we are not
reciting sara we're not reciting surat al-ihran we're not reciting never we're not reciting
you know ta'ha we're not reciting any of these suras right but we are reciting suratira
why?
Just like I said on Friday
has such a deep impact
upon our lives, upon our sara
and we should truly
take the time to learn
about Sirz al-Fatia
right?
And we think that just means
the surface level of
al-h-hah-l-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
No, but truly learning every single ayah,
what it means, the deeper meaning than just the surface.
We know the surface.
We know that.
Al-Rahman and Rahim,
the most compassionate and most merciful, right?
We know that.
Okay.
But going deeper onto
Allah, Allah, Sufana, Hei-Talah, is the most merciful, right?
Going on to deeper throughout this Sura
and recognizing the true blessing and true meaning,
as this is a duwai.
this is a conversation
that we are having
with Allah suhpana
how it's not something
that we're just saying
every single prayer
and it just becomes
a part of our life
where we're just like
oh okay
you're just say this
all right
and let's go
and recite a new soda
it's like
ooh I love this
soda I'm reciting
but no
we should have
the same love
as we have
for all the other
sodas that we recite
as we should have
for sort of fatia
so even just going on that
and another thing
I brought up in
a couple of my talks ago
which was the winter
the believer season
right
and beautiful talk
which was
praying to Hajjid, right?
And I've talked about the Hajid in
a good portion of my talk
so far, sufandallah. I talked about it
in focus on
Dunya, not Akhra.
I talked about it in my talk
which I did about
two weeks ago, which was
Tajid for Allah. I talked about
winter of the believer season. But if we
summarize all of this, recognizing
that our Tajid is
not a time in which we just
stand before Allah. We
pray and then we go back to bed, right? Not recognizing that this is a time in which we are closest
to Allah, Sapa'u'llahua. You know, there's also another brother that commented, huh? He commented,
he said, why don't, why don't many more Muslims take advantage of this beautiful gift of mercy, forgiveness,
love, compassion, and sincerity wrapped all in one, right? He was pretty much so saying that there's
no one to judge you throughout your sara. And I had to take a second to think about this as well as
there is no one judging your sona, right?
You can pray your psalah however long you want.
You can recite or have a rsura you want.
You can make dua, however you, however long you want.
You can make dua about whatever you want to make dua about.
but truly recognizing
this is a one-on-one conversation
with Allah Safarra-Hu-a-u-a-a-a-da.
Whether or not you are praying it
throughout the day, it's different.
If you're praying,
Salad al-Lahur, it's different
than you're praying to Hajid.
It's a different feeling.
It is a different feeling, right?
And another thing when it comes to our
to Hajid is recognizing
that this is a time of love and sincerity.
Like, we are sacrificing our sleep.
we are sacrificing
you know
we are sacrificing our sleep
right
we are sacrificing this moment
in which we are resting
we might have had a long day
of working
of tirelessly doing this
and tirelessly doing that
or whatever the case
might have been
but instead we decide
I want to have a better
connection to Allah
to Allah and better our relationship
with him
and what do you do instead
what do you do instead
instead you wake up
out of love
out of sincerity
to go worship
of Allah supranahua in the stillness of night while everyone else is sleeping so my dear brothers
and sisters while we are in a time right now in which sola is going to be is very difficult sometimes
for us to pray whether that is our jobs whether there's our busy days you know maybe it's like oh
I have to get this done real quick then we're going to pray oh okay dead done we must take the time
to truly learn our sola to truly learn our sola to truly love Allah suhapana hoota and to show us how that
you know, speaking of this, I, I probably will have a series, inshallah that will come out soon
about just speaking about Sala.
Because no matter how many talks I will have, Salaq can go from to this day and age now
until the end of time.
So, Sala is infinite when it comes to, you know, our lives because we will always,
we will always need to do this.
You know, that's another thing I also want us to recognize.
And that is the perspective changing.
Sometimes we are maybe at work.
Sometimes we may be at home.
and we're like, hey, I have to go pray.
And the way in which we phrase it shows our true connection to Allah,
Sufana'u'u'u'u'u'u'u'ah. You know, you're saying, I need to go pray is like,
I need Allah, this is a connection that is needing, right?
I need Allah.
Rather than saying, I want to go pray, like, I want to.
This is like something I have to do right now.
Like, it just needs to be done right now, right?
And the final one, which is one that I pray we don't say, and that is, you know, I have to go
pray. You know, because I have to go pray. It's saying, you're like, oh, man, you know, I don't
really want to do it. It's just something I have to do. It's just, it's a ritual. It's a part of my day.
I have to do it. And then afterwards, I get back to doing whatever I was doing in my
Dunya life. But instead of that, you're stepping out of this moment, stepping out of this
Dunya, focusing on Allah, and Allah, and recognizing the blessings and the truth, sincerity and
the love throughout this sona, which I pray we all have, you know, and inshallah, as I said,
I will go on a series talking about.
Sala. Just strictly about Sala, whether it is before my Ramanan series or after my Ramanan series,
whenever it might be, inshallah. I want to do a series just talking about Sala. But I do want
us to also recognize one thing my dear brothers and sisters. And that is, besides just having
Takawa within our Salaa, we must recognize, we must recognize that one of the other most
important things is visualizing our conversation because that's also another thing that
happens sometimes when we're praying is that we believe that we're just praying to air we're just like
okay i'm speaking these words out i'm speaking these words out to the air it's nothing like you know
sometimes you normally have a friend you normally have a family where you're or whoever is that you're
talking to there might be right there in front of you you can physically see them but when it comes
to allah suprana hua'uadda he sees and hears everything he can see us he can hear us he can hear us
but we cannot see him nor can we hear him and my brothers and sisters when it comes to our
sara we must take our sara more seriously we must prioritize our sara before any and everything
we do and we must recognize the true blessings from this sara and we have to unlock the next level
to our sara because so far throughout our lives we might only have unlocked
bismillah rrahman and we might only have unlocked just saying allahua okay allah is greater right
and we have to really
recognize that this is not
the extent of our sala.
Our sala goes deeper
than Bismillah Rahman and Rahim.
Our sala goes deeper
than Allahu Akbar.
And Allahu Akbar is affirming
that Allah is greater
but that is just step one
to many of the other steps within sala
so as I said
inshallah
before the other two or three times
that I am going to do a series
inshallah
please comment below
when you want me to do a series
that would really be helpful as well
inshallah before there's
before Ramadan or after
for Ramadan, um, whatever you think is, it's helpful. Then, inshallah, let me know.
My dear brothers and sisters, we ask Allah al-Safana-Hu-Tal to grant us the ability to focus on our
Salah, to gain closest to Allah suprana-Huadha through our sala, to build us a better relationship
with him, not only in this life, but mainly in the next, and to recognize and feel and gain
that true connection, love, sincerity, um, blessings and humble and humbleness throughout our
psalam we ask Allah
to forgive us
our sins are our shortcomings
and to grant us a special mercy
not only in this life,
but mainly in the next.
Asanaam
al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
