Starting point is 00:00:00 And, al-houndal-l-l-l-l-l-l-lis, we'rehmed to-hameh, and we'll believe it, and we'll be allure of our own of our souls'n, from say that aught of his Allah, for la muddellna, and who may jude it, and la haughtylla, Allah, Allah, and Allah, and we should want to Muhammad and, abdh, and Rasmudhru, and Rasmu, Rasmuch, and Abdu, and Rasmuch, Al-a-a-a-a-mahmahat-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ka-to-mere I pray that everyone is doing well. I ask Allah, Sufana, Hehallah, to forgive us our sins and our shortcomings and to grant us to special mercy not only in this life, but mainly on the next. My dear brothers and sisters, today is the blessed day of Friday.
Starting point is 00:00:43 I pray that everyone has read their sort of gath, done their roussel, and, inshallah, is prioritizing the Juma and prioritizing their relationship with Allah-Supani-a-a-h-ha-ha-ha-a-ha-ha. which is also a part of what I want to talk about today, which is the virtues of sala. You know, sometimes while we are praying our sala, it feels as if it is empty, it feels as if it is nothing, it feels as if this sala
Starting point is 00:01:09 doesn't have an impact upon our life. And one of the things I want to mention about that is our relationship with Allah, subana, and homo'adana. You know, one of the best acts of worship or acts of eva that you can perform is your sala. You know, we
Starting point is 00:01:28 imagine how we perform our decor. We, you know, perform different acts of our members of Allah and Allah and as long as our intentions are pure, all of our acts
Starting point is 00:01:39 can be pure, right? All of our acts can be rewarded by Allah supanihajala and can be forms of Ibadah.
Starting point is 00:01:50 You know, and to elaborate upon this, imagine you go to work imagine you go to school imagine you're cooking imagine you're cleaning
Starting point is 00:01:59 imagine you're doing whatever you might be doing as long as you have the intention to please Allah as long as you have the tension the intention only to please the law sincerely
Starting point is 00:02:13 because our intention changes constantly constantly that's one of the biggest things and one of the biggest things within this common day and age and that is praise
Starting point is 00:02:26 praise sometimes praise is not needed you know sometimes all that's needed is upon Allah thanks to Allah that's it only praise to Allah because sometimes
Starting point is 00:02:41 when you praise people what ends up happening is they become errant they believe that they are better and this all comes back to so that in our relationship
Starting point is 00:02:54 with Allah Supanah Hordada sometimes we make mistakes that are great there are grave
Starting point is 00:03:01 mistakes right and the one thing that we say is Allah upon a Hohada will never forgive me
Starting point is 00:03:09 but Allah suprana who adada is the most forgiving right Allah Allahupana
Starting point is 00:03:17 whoa Zada is the most forgiving so when it comes to know to anything that we do recognizing that our sula comes first and i want to piggyback on what i was just talking about when it comes to our intention and how everything that we can do can go back to allah supranahua yada you know the reason why the prophet so al-a-liu-a-liu-a-liu-hazana emphasized saying bismillah before anything you do before anything you do
Starting point is 00:03:52 is a means of remembrance of a means of purification for your intention saying I understand that no matter what I do in this moment that Allah is for me that Allah supranahu
Starting point is 00:04:07 Allah comes first no matter what it is whether it's the praise whether it's the wealth whether it's the cars what are any of these things Allah suprama and Huitata comes before everything and this brings me to the point
Starting point is 00:04:25 of when we say Allah who at birth and we engage in time business and we say Allah who Akbar Allah is the greatest right it has two different meanings
Starting point is 00:04:37 you can say Allah is the greatest right but to go deeper than that Allah is greater Allah is greater greater than what he's greater than everything in me and everything in this moment
Starting point is 00:04:55 you are affirming starting your salat Allah is greater you're saying Allah al-a-ha-gabran Allah is greater than everything than my worries then my family then my jobs then my own life Allah suprama hua-ta-a-a-a-a-la
Starting point is 00:05:13 is more important than everything he's greater affirming that recognizing that when we saw our salad and then we go into Sultifatiha and this is beautiful in itself there is an authentic hadith that the Prophet of Allah al-Aliu
Starting point is 00:05:32 with Saddam gathered a group of companions to do like a halakha or an Islamic gathering he sat everyone down they started talking about Sirt al-Fatiham, right? He, they pray Aseh, they pray Magrith, they pray Isha, they're still going throughout the night, right? And they go all the way until they get to Suid, until they get to Salat's budget, right?
Starting point is 00:06:04 And what isa do you think they went on? Any guesses? Bishnillah, Lordhammerang. They went all throughout the night. from the afternoon to the night from the night to the morning and they only got to this midnight my dear brothers and sisters
Starting point is 00:06:24 this should weigh heavy on us our sada is not simply a chore it is not a ritual that becomes a part of our life that we say oh whatever you know I got to pray okay cool you go pray for a couple of minutes and you go back to do whatever you're doing
Starting point is 00:06:41 any of the companions of the prophets were in law that he would sudden them when they would sin what would they immediately do after that they would turn to
Starting point is 00:06:52 life they would seek forgiveness they would repent now what do we do when we commit a sin what do we do do we turn this to lie immediately
Starting point is 00:07:03 do we ask the loss upon both out for forgiveness for mercy for guidance to that which is true no we don't
Starting point is 00:07:16 we do not turn directly to there was a companion of the Prophet of Allah Heu al-a-a-a-a-a-huh who made a mistake within his life and he was deeply troubled by it
Starting point is 00:07:31 he asked the Prophet of Allah Allahi-hu-Salam of a messenger of Allah what should I do I've committed such and such sin the promise for Allah why did he when he
Starting point is 00:07:42 said go pray to Raka right why did he tell him to go pray to Ragh because
Starting point is 00:07:49 you seek forgiveness you gain closest to Allah the only reason that we can
Starting point is 00:07:58 uncontrollably sin throughout our lives is because of our connection to Allah
Starting point is 00:08:04 you think about that if you have a strong connection to Allah subhahua d'a'a sinning becomes difficult it becomes difficult when you don't have a relationship with Allah it becomes easy as water flowing out of a cup it becomes as easy as that it's not easier because because of what our relationship with Allah sohanna what our Salad should be the first thing we have trouble
Starting point is 00:08:38 waiting up for Selah's infusion. Why? We just said, oh, because I was tired. Oh, because I didn't get that much sleep. I want to give you an example. During the month of Ramadan, you pray all these Rukhas of Tarawi, right? You pray into the middle of life and you wake up at 5 o'clock. You might have gone to sleep at 2 a.m. And you wake up at 5 o'clock? Easy. Is it because of the food? Do we have the love and the desire to eat the food? Or is it for another reason? Is it for any other reason? Why is it? But no matter what we do, that no matter what we do, we always find ourselves coming back to, I cannot press that's a budget. And listen, I'm not pointing to finger at anyone. I pointed at myself.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I pointed out myself. Why? Why would I point out of myself? Because I have to turn away off her budget. Oh, something like you have to wake in our heart? Yes. I'm a human.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I keep your smile. Okay, yes. I'm a human. I'm going to make mistakes. It's not going to be easy for me. Is that easy for anyone? The reason why you cannot wake up for budget? Because you don't have a love in the devotion to do so.
Starting point is 00:10:04 You don't love wanting to wake up for fudgette. You do not want to meet with your Lord. You do not want to engage in a conversation, a long-needed, a really-needed conversation with your Lord. What do you say instead? I have to get up for work. I have to prepare the kids for school. I have to do this. I have to do this.
Starting point is 00:10:23 I have to do this. I have to do this. I have to do it. I have to do the clothes. I have to do the kitchen. No. Worry about Lossa-upon-upu-a-wa-jada. So my brothers and sisters, the reason our sala is most important is why.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Why is our sala most important? Our sala is most important because it connects us to Allah, suhpani-a-hu-a-u-a-law and we're going to make mistakes. Just like the Prophet of Allah, Allah, He said, he said, all of the children of Adam are sinners. All the children of Adam are sinners. The best of sinners are those who repent, of those who seek forgiveness. Do you think that he was specifically saying those who disarranted? their hands and say, Y'allah, please forgive me.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Amen. That's it. No. Those who prays to God. Those who ask forgiveness in all moments and all times and all
Starting point is 00:11:20 times of their life. Any moment that they have to ask of Allah upon and Huitana for forgiveness for mercy. He promised with Allah Allah Allah Allah would ask for forgiveness of Allah thousands of times a day.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Yet do we ask Allah shuponabuant al at 10. We say, only I say, Saffirulah, Allah, after my Sala. Okay. Do you make your vigor any other time after that? Or is this just an excessive, I only do it during this point. We have to prioritize Allah, we have to prioritize our Shana'u'u'u'u'u'a. We cannot say we are Muslims.
Starting point is 00:12:00 We worship Allah, Allah, Suu'u'u'a'u'a. If we do not have the devotion, we do not have the love to, We don't have the work. We don't put in the work to become better. We don't put in the work to love Allah, to build a relationship with him. Surrender by those sisters. We ask Allah to grant us the ability
Starting point is 00:12:22 to seek forgiveness for our sins. We ask Allah to allow for the first thing that happens when anything happens within our lives to be so that. We seek refuge in so that. We ask Allah subpoenaed to allow. to forgive us our sins or our shortcomings and to grant us to special mercy not only in this life and mainly in the next and the last thing i wanted to mention before i make our final luat shall tell us before
Starting point is 00:12:50 indy is you look at the people who have nothing the people who have nothing and we have everything right i want you to compare this real quick people who have nothing value us alab more than us but the people who have everything don't value us allow them i want you to take them know for to think about that. And inshallah, we will go deeper on that throughout this weekend about Sala. I just want to start off with part one, inshhhhhah, Sala. But, inshallah, I will do a talk on Sunday, deeper into our Sala. Because I want us to recognize what Sala truly is, what it truly is.
Starting point is 00:13:30 So many of those sisters, we ask Allah to connect us to him, to grant us the relationship that we all need, we all desire the sincere relationship to Allah suhphanuantana and so that and we ask Allah to Allah to Allah to make it amongst those, to make us amongst those who are the
Starting point is 00:13:50 bad workman, who are the most or the service of the most merciful, who love Allah subhā ma'amahuata more than anything. We're after with that, al-a-a-a-a-oh-ul-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. bism allahmaheem alhamdh
Starting point is 00:14:13 all righteem and all righte and all right and hishaw and allah and allah and alhulah and allah
Starting point is 00:14:27 and allah and hishubh and who man and there ish Allah and Allah Allahaulah Allah, al-aulah, al-aul-a-a-sala and allah, and allah, and sa'bvvvvh, and man,
Starting point is 00:14:44 and Allah. Allah, hum, let's sunnion on the naii, yeah, eiduha, who are men who Salli'u, al-Aliam, and Sallim, Allah, Salli, and Sallim, al-A-Nah, Mhameh,
Starting point is 00:14:57 and on hishaw-Haw-Haw-Haw-Haw-Haw-Thul-Nat. Allah. Allah, hah, ha, ha, t'-Tul-Nata, and b'-Bah, Allah. Allah, hum, I mean, the Islam and Muslims. Eibad of God, God, God hathom of Allah, inna, God, Iri, and Heathsane, and the curbah,
Starting point is 00:15:14 and there in half the shawl, the menker, and belike. You, like, of them to beckon. Uncour of God, let's say, to be it to give to them. And let's say, Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Godle, and Ham, and Hecber. Lo can you, they're nothoun. I'm a question.
