Bismillah, ANDAhmannu-rahem.
Al-Hamdu-Lih, Rhapsolidhāsa-a-a-Rosol-Lah,
and on Hishālhabi, Admaeem.
Assalam-a-a-Qa-Rachmatelah and Bracati,
my dear brothers and sisters,
I pray that everyone is doing well,
and I ask God help us to forgive us for our sins
or our shui to give me to grant this special mercy,
not only in this life, but mainly the next.
My dear brothers and sisters,
I pray that everyone has had a beautiful and blessed day of fasting,
I ask Allah, Sufana-o-hu-a-a-a-a-to-except to accept our fast from us,
Amen.
But the brothers and sisters, when it comes to the month of Ramadan, the month of Ramadan is a time in which we seek Allah, Sufana-Hu-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a's forgiveness and his mercy.
And Allah-Supana-a-hu-ta-a-a-a-a-a-sa's in the Quran and Surat al-a-Huwa-Ta-Sas, so seek your Lord's of forgiveness and turn to him in repentance.
Turning to Allah, suhapana-hu-a-a-a-a-a-incer of repentance is a very powerful and transformative process that we have to go through, right?
And it's something that we have to realize is going to be continuous throughout our journey of life, right?
Until we return to Allah, subhanna, hu, ta a lot.
So, seeking your Lord's forgiveness and turning to him in repentance.
For surely, Allah, Sufanahu, ta is the most merciful, the all loving.
No matter how big or how small a sin might be, Allah subhannahu.
Allah will forgive it, right?
that Allah's upon Allah will forgive it.
And if your life feels empty,
lifeless,
or without true purpose
or true meaning,
then maybe it's because you haven't repented
upon a sin that you committed
and it's blocking you
and it's holding you back
from Allah Safana,
which is why my dear brother and says
there's Allah upon and how it just mentioned
commands us beautifully in the Quran
when he says,
so seek your Lord's forgiveness
and turn to him in repentance.
For surely,
my Lord is most merciful in all
loving. So this ayah encapsulates the essence of our relationship with Allah
subhpanao'u-ta-a-a-a-o-ta-a, emphasizing his boundless mercy and his love.
So repentance or toba is a fundamental aspect of our faith.
It is not just merely a ritual, right, or an act that we continuously do,
but rather it is a heartfelt return back to Allah supranahua-a-a-a-a-a-sincere
acknowledgement of our sins and our shortcomings and a commitment to change.
you know no matter how big or how small a sin is
Allah supanahua ta'a'all mercy
encompasses all right
so Allah sa'u paula will forgive it
because he is
al-ghafour all right so he is
the most merciful that I was about to mention another one of
Allah suban-ta-a-sdao's names but Allah
Allah sa'upeanahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-o
so he is the most merciful or sorry the most forgiving
and his doors of mercy
are always open for those who seek him
you know many of us experience moments in our lives
when we may feel empty, lifeless, or devoid of a true purpose.
And Allah, Supperan, and Allah, Tallah, it reminds us of this, too,
the Prophet of Allah, Allah, Allah, there's two of which I want to mention here.
The first one is which, you know, the Prophet of Allah, Hecelslam said,
every son of Adam is a sinner, right?
Every son of Adam sins.
But the best of sinners are those who repent.
And the second one is that if Allah, subhanna, Hewatea-ta-a-ta-a-ha,
had placed someone on earth that did not sin at all,
he would replace them with someone who would sin,
and they would seek his repentance, and he would forgive them.
The reasoning behind these two had these, my dear brothers and sisters,
they go hand in hand here.
I don't know if you can realize it.
They're both about sinning and repenting.
The thing is, my dear brothers and sisters,
if you look at the way in which Allah, Sufana and He-ta-a-a-ha,
even phrases it in the Quranic verse,
when he says,
Bismillah, Rahman, and Rahim, he says,
He said,
Kul ya,
Ibanee,
Lhru
Ullah
Nothur
M'rachma
Allah,
not to
men
Rachmata
Allah
y'u
thuluba
jimia
in Allah
Gavur
Rahim
He says that
do not
despair
in the mercy
of Allah
Sufangangana
Thalah
for Allah
Svahahah's
ever forgiving,
ever merciful
right?
He's saying,
Even if you sin, even if you made mistakes,
Allah, Supperama Tala will forgive you.
But it comes to sincere tovah or repentance,
which is why in the first hadith I mentioned,
all of the sons of Adams are sinners,
and the best of the best of sinners are those who repent.
It's saying that we are all going to sin.
There is no human being on the face of earth who is not going to sin, right?
Because even Adam a.m.
sinned, and he made mistakes.
Right?
So this is exactly where we have to think back on repentance, repent.
Turn back to Allah, Sufana-Hu-Talda and sincere repentance.
It's very powerful and very transformative.
It's very important for us, which is why Allah-saphanah-h-ah-ha-gut-a-da mentions in the second hadith
that if a person did not sin, Allah, Sufano-ho-ta-a-ha would replace them with a person who would sin.
He would, they would seek his forgiveness and he would forgive them.
The reasoning behind it is because Allah-Supana-hu-Talah, like I mentioned in the verse, is ever merciful.
And his mercy encompasses all.
Allah is upon our whole daughter wants to forgive us right and he wants us to come to him in sincere repentance
he seeks that he says I want you to come in sincere repentance come to me in sincere toba and I will forgive you for your sins and your surecomings
but their brothers and sisters the journey of repentance begins with sincere recognition of our faults and our mistakes
it requires us to confront our actions honestly and to feel genuine remorse for the wrongs that we have committed
is the first step towards healing and transformation.
And Allah, Suhpano Huitada and his infinite wisdom knows our hearts and our struggles.
He understands our weaknesses and is always ready to forgive those who turn to him with sincerity,
which is why in the process of repentance, we also have to resolve to change our behavior, right?
Because sometimes, like we spoke about in the last episode, our conduct and our character,
and how, in the episode before that, our test and how Allah's upon our attack us.
And sometimes this means making a conscious effort to avoid the sins we committed in the path
and striving to live a life that aligns with the teachings of Islam.
And you see here the wording I use is that means making a conscious effort.
Right.
So this means that my brothers and sisters trying to ensure that we are remembering Allah,
which is why in a lot of my talks previously I spoke about taqua and maybe about two Friday chupas ago,
we spoke about takwa.
And one of the things I spoke about was someone who is conscious of Allah,
and among one of the states of the nefs is nefsa lo waima is the self reproaching self right is the self
that they turn back and they say oh i feel so much regret for doing these sins for committing these
sins and sometimes we even scold ourselves to the point that we feel we feel so bad that we have
done something but this is exactly why allah saffano huzaa says in this verse do not despair in the mercy
of allah you getting upset with yourself over a sin that you committed because natural human inclination
is absolutely wrong, right?
It's not permissible to do that.
Why?
Because Allah,
Suhannahu Tala says,
Rahmatelah, right?
He says,
La, Rahmatelah.
Do not despair in the mercy of Allah.
He said, not sparing the mercy of Allah.
Allah will continue forgiving you
no matter how far you've transgressed.
Because just on the earth,
the face of the earth,
if Allah,
Sufano, His Allah has only bestowed upon us
one percent,
one drop of his mercy
and he's held the other 99 for the hereafter,
then how merciful is Allah
Sufana-hu-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a in this life
and how merciful is he in the next life?
Mother brothers and sisters,
reflecting on your lives during this
blessed month of Ramadan is very important.
You have to engage in sincere repentance.
You have to set a time aside moments of solitude
when it's just you and Allah.
And when it comes to reflection
like we spoke about yesterday,
it's important to reflect upon the sins that you committed.
But the best, the best, the biggest,
but the biggest thing to do and the best thing to do
is actually to look at the point in the way that you got to that sin.
Right?
So how did you get to that point?
How did you get to that sin?
If it might have been looking at something you're not supposed to look at,
doing something you're not supposed to do,
what was it that got you to that point?
And then think of how you could have avoided it,
or how you could avoid it, inshallah, ta'a, in the next point, and the next time, right?
That comes up and you have that urge or that desire or that feeling to do it.
You know, how do I avoid it?
This time I know I should say this, or maybe this time I know,
I should go make wudu.
Making wudu takes me out of that, right?
Because now I remember Allah.
Now I'm back in the remembrance of Allah.
So when your brothers and sisters,
throughout this month of Ramadan,
try to build taqwa.
And there's actually a very beautiful hadith
or a beautiful dua in which the Prophet of Allah
Allahi Allahehu Salem taught us,
which is,
Allahoam, antaurbi,
la ilhelae,
hallectanee,
and I abaduk,
and Ina ala'a'a'hdhik,
and one you mustatat, I Oud Bikamin'ematinae'u'u binae'ematea'u'u'a'a'n'a'n'a'n'a'n'a'n'a'n'a'n'a'n't.
O'al, you are my Lord, there is no God except for you.
You created me, and I am your servant, and I abide by your oath and promise that I will honour
it, to the best of my ability.
I seek refuge with you from every evil that I have committed.
I acknowledge your favour upon me and acknowledge my sin, so forgive me.
For surely there is no one else, yeah Allah, who can forgive sins except for you.
So in this beautiful hadith, we are reminding ourselves and making a promise to Allah,
Sufanahu, Tala, that, yeah, Allah, you have created me. I am your servant, and I abide by your
oath by the things you've told me to do, and I promise that I may honor it, and I will do it to the
best of my ability. And the last part is the part I want to focus on the most my brothers and
sisters. Allah suhannahu
ta'a says, so forgive
this, in this dua you say,
so forgive me for surely there is no
one who can forgive sins except for you.
What does this mean for us, my dear brothers
and sisters? We are in a time, my dear
brothers and sisters where sinning is
constant and sometimes
remembering that there is no one
else who's going to forgive our sins except for
Allah because even our parents,
even our friends, even our family,
even our loved ones, if we make a
mistake, they'll hold on to it. They'll
remember it. They'll continue bringing it up. They'll continue
this sin or this thing that we did will continue to haunt us.
But Allah, Sufana-ahua-ta-a-ta-da doesn't do that.
When we make a mistake, Allah subhpana-hu-ta-ta-a-da forgives us and then removes it from us.
But your brothers and sisters, this dua-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
and an acknowledgment of his greatness and trying to seek his forgiveness
because Allah sufana hua ta a la is the only one who we can gain true love and mercy from right so trying to remember that if you want the true mercy the love the forgiveness the compassion everything that you want from Allah sufana hoi ta'a
you have to remember that one of those things is going to come from seeking the forgiveness of Allah and one reason my brothers and sisters it may be difficult for you to worship during the blessed month of Ramadan maybe because of your sins and it might be because you haven't repented for them yet it might be like a barrier between
right it's like Allah a wall and then you you have to break through that wall and that wall is the
sins and it's going to be difficult to break through my brothers and sisters if you have not
repented but remember that this month of Ramadan is a time in which you must engage in the journey
of repentance as it is a very beautiful and transformative path that leads us back to our creator
my brothers and sisters it reminds us of Allah supranahua tal as infinite mercy his love
and his encouraging us as Allah
Sopalana encourages us to seek his forgiveness and strive for righteousness.
But the brothers and sisters ensure that we are trying to embrace this journey wholeheartedly,
knowing that no sin, and I'm capitalizing this here,
no sin is too great for Allah,
Suhpanohu, to forgive.
My brothers and sisters, we ask Allah,
to forgive us for our sins that are shortcomings to digress and special mercy,
not only in this life and may be in the next.
My brothers and sisters, Zahmullah, Hibirin, for joining me again
for another episode of this beautiful series.
pray Allah,
Sufana-Hu-Tala grants us understanding.
It allows for us to benefit from this
and ensure that we are trying to
seek Allah-Safana-Hu-Tal's forgiveness.
My brothers and sisters,
I ask Allah to bless all of us
and every one of us
and to accept our duress from us
and to accept our fast from us.
And we're al-haharanah
al-h-h-hambal-Ali-Lahli-Lah
and al-Aam.
And asaamu.
And, ala, and, brahmatelah, and brakatu.
Mother brothers and sisters.
