Starting point is 00:00:00 Assalam and alaikum and rachmatelah and berkattu and your brothers and sisters. Today I want to share them reflections on a question that was posed to the community by a brother. And the question was, if a family of four passes away or returns to Allah, subhanna-hawata at once, do they see their own separate angels or do they see one angel? And this is a very profound topic on what happens to us at the time of death. You know, and Sophan Allah in Islam, the angel of death is entrusted with the responsibility of taking the souls of individuals when their time comes. You know, each person has a unique experience during this critical moment and the Prophet of Allah, Allah, Aaliyu'llu'll tell us that when a believer is nearing death, that they are met by angels who come to them with a welcoming demeanor, bringing good tidings of mercy and forgiveness from Allah, and Allah suhannahwataa and Allah subraemphasized the role of the angels in the Quran as he says say the
Starting point is 00:01:06 angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you then to your lord you will be you will be returned so in this ayah allah suhphanahua ta'a reminds us that the angel of death is tasked with taking each soul and it is a significant moment for every individual since when a family family dies together each member experiences their own individual encounter with the angels. So this means that even if they leave this world simultaneously, they will not just see one angel together. Rather, each person will be attended to by their own angel. And the Prophet of Allah Aliiyu al-a-hulam described that the soul of a believer is taken out gently and they are greeted by the angels who bring them good news of parents.
Starting point is 00:01:57 paradise. And you know, the individual experience is crucial because it reflects the personal relationship each soul has with Allah, and you know, the angels will guide each person according to their own state of faith and deeds. For the righteous, this moment is filled with peace and comfort. For those who have strayed from the path, it may be a time of fear and regret. So the experience. So the experience of the soul at the time of death serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining our faith and performing good deeds throughout our lives. And the Prophet of Allah a Allah al-Ahu-Salam said, The soul of a believer is like a bird that flies in a garden of paradise until the day of resurrection. So in this hadith, the Prophet's Allah-A-W-Salam illustrates the beauty and tranquility that awaits the righteous in the hereafter. As Muslims, we should strive to live our lives in a manner that plightly. pleases Allah, subhaphanorhāhā,hā,hā,hā,hā,
Starting point is 00:02:59 engaging in acts of worship, kindness, and charity. You know, the more we cultivate our relationship with Allah, Allah, seek his forgiveness, the more prepared we will be for that inevitable moment when we meet the angel of death. So the question posed by our beloved brother highlights a significant aspect of our belief in the hereafter. So each and every individual, even within a family,
Starting point is 00:03:25 will have their own experience at the time of death, encountering their own angels who will guide them according to their deeds and their faith. So my dear brothers and sisters, let's take this opportunity, inshallah to reflect on our lives and ensure that we are living in a way that will lead us to a peaceful and blessed departure from this world. May Allah, Suhpanahu, Allah, grant us all the ability to perform good acts or good deeds and to meet him with a heart full of faith, ameen. And al-dhawn.
