Starting point is 00:00:00 Bismillah, the Rhaughman, and al-hemetal-Aam, al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaaaaaaa, and ashaaubi, and hishae, my brothers and sisters. I pray that everyone is doing well, and I ask Allah, Sufanao to figure out for our sins, our shortcomings, and grant us his special mercy not only in this life, but mainly in the next. My brothers and sisters, al-lhah, our binaamian, we are back again for another one of our seeking life of Qatar talks, you know, just to let anybody know, And everybody knew, actually, in case you're wondering why last night we published the duai that we made last night as a congregation for our community, we made one, in our community, in our community, for this un-in-shallah, we made the duai.
Starting point is 00:00:44 But being that we published it on Spotify, it did not actually even load on there. So just so let you know now, if you're wondering, why can I find the duai? Why is it only showing this off from yesterday? Most likely, maybe they have an idea that we were trying, we said something in there. They didn't like it, maybe. or they just didn't want to accept it at that point. But we've tried to republish this, if I'm not mistaken, I think three or four times now. So just to let you know, inshallah, if you're finding this duat, that it's not coming out and it's not working.
Starting point is 00:01:09 And you're like, why can I not listen to it? Or you're listening to it midway and it gets deleted. Then just understand it's not by our doing. And it's only from a loss of my time that we're having these technical problems. Now, I will advise that you can go on our website. We'll have both these linked in the description. We'll have this talk, a link to our website. And we'll also have the actual Dura itself linked to the website as well.
Starting point is 00:01:30 So, inshallah, check that out. But my brothers and sisters, Hamidda, Haribhameh, I mean, we are on in night 28 of the Mother Ramadan for us. Hamda, it's a very beautiful time, blessed time. Try absolute hardest to worship Allah, Allah, Zahana, Herbatam more, and try absolute hardest to ensure that you are pushing towards growth and pushing towards goodness. One of the things I want to speak about today is a topic that resonates deeply with us,
Starting point is 00:01:53 and that is pain and hardship. It's very difficult. Right? Sometimes it's very difficult. In our lives, we often perceive pain as suffering, right? A burden that weighs heavily upon us, upon our hearts and it weighs us down. And it makes us feel trapped in situations we cannot escape. However, today I want to invite us all into a different perspective of this, this pain and this hardship that we have. And I want to reflect on a different perspective, and that is the hardship that is not meant to confine us, but rather to refine us. Right. So the hardship that's not meant to confine us, but rather refine us. It's supposed to make us better, not hold us back. So it is through the challenges and through these hardships and through these tests that we emerge stronger, right? Wiser and we verge by the sake of Allah, Sufana Ho, that I'm more capable to move on and do things in life. Now, before I get into this, I do want to mention as well for tonight, inshallah. inshallah we'll keep this short as well in these last episodes inshallah tonight and then
Starting point is 00:02:55 you know tomorrow and if you know however it also displays out inshallah i forgot right now but however else this plays out inshallah we'll do our episode short for tonight i want to keep these mugra reminders short so just in case anyone's wondering like oh why see making so short eight minutes or seven minutes or i want to keep a short inshallah the longer part will be after ayesha sala for about 15 11 minutes honestly though lately has been shorter so not to get too much into analytics about the actual talks, but I do want to get into this topic. Now, I do want us to look at how Allah upon a hootala attributes that pain and that hardship and the tribulations as is a part of our life in the Quran.
Starting point is 00:03:29 What does he say? He says, and we test you with evil and with good as a trial. And to us, you shall return, right? So I want you to look here, and what does this reverse mind? What does this reverse remind you of? It reminds us that both good and bad experiences that we have are tests from Allah, subhpana hua'u's aada, and they're designed to shape our character, our achalach, and they're designed to strengthen our iman.
Starting point is 00:03:56 So there's a design to do what. They're designed to design to shape our al-aq and strengthen our iman, which is why the Prophet of Allah, it also emphasizes his concept in a hadith in which he said, a believer, male or female, is continuously afflicted in his wealth and in himself. till he meets with Allah, suhpanihu, without a sin. So, this hadith illustrates the same point as that ayah from the Quran.
Starting point is 00:04:22 It illustrates that the suffering that Allah, Sufano, His Allah, places upon us is not a sign that Allah, subhanna, who is displeased with us, but rather, it is a means of purification and growth. This is a question I was asked once before, like, how can you tell the difference
Starting point is 00:04:36 between a test and a punishment? I'm not going to add any excessive words to this. The way a test brings you closer to Allah, a punishment brings you away. Those are the two ways to tell. And I make that very short so that we can go through that. Now, the purpose of that pain is something that's very difficult as well to deal with, right? And first and foremost, I do want to mention it serves a reminder of our humility and our humanity, right?
Starting point is 00:04:59 Because pain humbles us. It does. When you feel that pain, it humbles you, not physical sometimes. Maybe it's even spiritual. Maybe it's mental. It could be anything. And that pain reminds us that we are not in control of anything. right and Allah saffaniahu what
Starting point is 00:05:15 Allah is in control of everything and it brings us closer to Allah as we turn back to him in those times in those moments of distress and when we face those hardships we often find ourselves seeking peace in sala right right so we find ourselves
Starting point is 00:05:30 seeking peace and tranquility and seeking you know help through that sala so you know this is exactly why the ayah of the Quran Allah saviouran says, wasta in who is sabri and salat. He says, seek help through patience and prayer. Seek help, right?
Starting point is 00:05:47 Seek help with that pain that sometimes you're feeling. And sometimes it could be our connection with Allah, Sufana, and just to think about our connection with Allah is a gift in itself. And I don't want to go too deep into that, but we have had to talk about our relationship with Allah, Sufana, how it's a lot. But when it comes to strengthening our faith
Starting point is 00:06:05 and strengthening our iman and strengthening our tawakul, our reliance upon him, it's very important to remember that that pain teaches us a very valuable lesson. And Allah, Sufanoho, what's a state in the Quran for those who are patient as well. Because when you are patient, Allah, Sufano Tala, loves the patient. What is he mentioned? He says, and be patient for indeed, Allah is with the patient. So through our struggles, I have to keep saying patient,
Starting point is 00:06:27 but through our struggles, we learn to endure, to preserve, to trust in Allah, Sufano-Hu-Hu-Tah's wisdom, and to understand that this is only up to Allah, not mine, right? So each trial that we face is an opportunity for growth, pursuing us, you know, and pushing us to become better versions of ourselves, which is why I want to finally end on this note. I want you to look at, you know, the Prophet A.U. Right. I want you to look at this. This is a very interesting example I would like to give here.
Starting point is 00:06:58 I want you to look at the trials that he faced in the immense suffering, the loss of wealth, family, health, all of these things. Yet through all of it, through all of that, all that he faced and all that he went through, he still remained steadfast in his faith, saying indeed, patience is beautiful. So his story, my dear brothers and sisters, I'm not going to go into depth about his story, but his story serves with a powerful reminder for us that enduring pain with grace and with patience and with perseverance and with endurance and with love of Allah supranahua-a-a-a-da leads to immense rewards both in this life and in the hereafter. Some of their brothers and sisters, I wish I could have given a more detailed example of this,
Starting point is 00:07:38 inshallah, we'll probably do for Isha, Salaah, inshallah after Isha. But we have to shift our perspective on that pain and that hardship. Instead of viewing them as mere suffering, we have to recognize them as a gift that refines us, right? Rather than confining us, rather than restricting us, it teaches us. And it also ultimately leads to growth and closeness to Allah and purification of ourselves and our souls. And when we face challenges, remember the words of Allah, Safana-Hu-Tana, which he mentions in the Quran, he says, indeed, with hardship comes ease. What does he mention this for? So that we can realize that with that hardship is going to come ease, not after the hardship, not before the hardship, but with it is going to come ease by them, by Allah-Safana-ho-Tal.
Starting point is 00:08:19 We ask Allah-Safana-ho-Tal to grant us the ability to embrace our trials with patience and gratitude, knowing that they are a part of his plan for us. We ask Allah, Sufana-ho-Tal-a to allow for us to emerge from our hardship, stronger, wiser, and more. more compassionate individuals. And we ask Allah, so on our whole, ta a lot of our sins, our showcomings, and grant us to special mercy,
Starting point is 00:08:38 not only in this life, remaining the next. And after, and I want to be there by, al-hawal-a-haer, for coming again, my dear brothers and sisters. And, alaqa, and ala, and ala, and ala, and a lot of Allah and barcate.
