Bismillah, and Rahmane, al-hameh,
al-hameh,
and al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaaaaaa
and allahe and hishabi e-a'am.
Asaa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a to
figure us for our sins, our shortcomings,
and to grant us a special mercy
that only in this life, but mainly in the next.
My dear beloved brothers and sisters,
I would like to welcome you all back,
insh-a-a-a-a-a-to another episode of our beautiful,
blessed Ramadan series after a Isha Salah you know inshallah this is being
published a little later due to the fact that Isha Salah is starting to move up
more so instead of it being at 7.30 you know now it's maybe at 734 735 so
inshallah Allah you will see the times progress up just a little bit but don't be
too shocked if you see the time at maybe inshallah by maybe about the 10th day
of Ramadan at probably 750 if not a little later but
Inshawa, my brothers and sisters, today I want to talk about those who rise at night,
those who turn to Allah, Sufana'u, ta'a'a'a at night to worship him to engage in an act of
iBada that is very special in the eyes of us as Muslims.
And it's very important that we try our absolute hardest to incorporate this act of
Ibada, not just inside the Matur Ramadan, but outside of it too.
It is a time that Maturamada in which we try to build habits, right?
We try to start habits, but we mainly try to quit habits.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to replace that bad habit that you had with a good habit, right?
It's the best thing you can do.
If you have a problem of staying up late at night, pray kiam.
It'll help, right?
You're replacing something.
If you have a problem for when you wake up early in the morning instead of you not being productive
and you're always on your phone scrolling and doing and it's not actually what you're supposed to be doing, pray to Hajid.
Right?
And that's exactly what I want to talk about today, my dear brothers and sisters.
So Hajid is a very special form of Ibada that is highly encouraging.
encouraged in Islam. And the Prophet of Allah, Allah, He was
a son, said in authentic Hadith, the best prayer after the
obligatory prayers is the night prayer, right? So he's
referring to tajajid. And this highlights the
importance of tajad as a means of attaining closest to
Allah saffaniahu, and seeking his mercy while everyone
else is sleep. And in the Quran, Allah
Allah, Allah, Saphana, He mentions the believers who
rise at night specifically, and he says,
and those who spend part of the night to their Lord,
prostrating and standing in prayer, right?
So this ayah illustrates that those who dedicate part of their night to worship
are among the righteous and are immensely rewarded by Allah,
Sufana'hu, T'u, T'a, for their efforts,
because waking up for Tahrjid can be difficult,
which, inshallah, we'll get to that in a minute.
When it comes to the benefits of raising and waking up for T'Hajid,
it offers various and numerous spiritual benefits for us,
us and among the first one is a time of peace right because throughout our lives we have things
that are going on rapidly and we're trying to move and do things and sometimes we don't have the
ability just to sit just to worship Allah saffana huaata and this prayer helps us to get you know to
eliminate those distractions right as the distractions are minimal right maybe you hear a car
driving by in the middle of the night that's fine or you know certain little noises but that's
pretty much so it right so this solitude that we have with Allah saffana huaata
fosters a deeper connection with Allah,
Sufana-a-a-a-a-a-a-free from the noise
and the chaos of our daily lives.
And among the second thing with this beautiful prayer
is it is also a chance for forgiveness
and the mercy of Allah-Supon-a-ha-ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
of the night, Allah sappano hua a
Allah descends to the lowest heaven
and asks, is there anyone
who invokes me that I may respond
to his invocation? Is there anyone
who asks me for anything so that I
may give it to him? Is there anyone
who seeks my forgiveness that I may
forgive him? So this is
a very unique opportunity for us
as believers to seek the true
and sincere forgiveness and mercy of
Allah saupanahu. As it is
also a time in which engaging
in this night prayer elevates our spiritual,
state, right, especially in the eyes of Allah,
saffanao'u-Tal. It is
a time for reflection,
for repentance and supplication.
This is an act in which we are
standing before Allah, Sufana-hu-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a in
the stillness of Latin night, as it
fosters humility and gratitude to
Allah. You know, Tahajid is not
merely just about praying at night,
but it's actually about, and we spoke about
this before, and I keep mentioning it. It's very
important something that you need to mention because
it should be a part of our daily lives, but that is
iqlas-wal-nea. Right?
It is our sincerity and our intention.
And it's very important that we have, you know, sincere intention and, you know, we have
sincerity behind this prayer.
And the Prophet of Allah al-a-u-Salam advised us to pray at night in a manner that is two
rakas at a time and then to finish off our rikaz at, you know, to finish off our rikaz with
winter or one odd prayer, right?
To make it odd, right?
So ensuring that you're doing everything in odd numbers, especially when it comes to your
which is why when we pray, you know, tarawi, we pray the however many rakaz and then we pray
one winter, right?
We don't pray, you know, 20 rakas and then say, all right, we're going to pray two extra
rakas and that's going to be it.
Or we just don't pray those 20 rikas and that's all, right?
You pray those 20 rikas and you pray rakaa of witter.
And it is also narrated beautifully that Abdullah ibn umar, riyallu, and who was encouraged by
the Prophet of Allah al-a-u-u-Slam to offer to hajad.
Right?
He was offered, he was, you know, encouraged by the Prophet of Allah-Ahu-Slam.
to encourage or to offer the night prayers.
So, you know, and it's very beautiful how after this, right,
and after he was encouraged by the Prophet of Allah a day of Islam,
he did it regularly thereafter.
So it became a part of his habit and a part of his life.
And, you know, it's very important, my dear brothers and sisters,
that we are trying to be motivated and to engage in this noble act
by the Prophet of Allah, Allah, A, He was Salam,
and by the example of the Prophet of Allaha, Hew Salam,
and by those around him, right, his companions.
So it's also very important that we try to look at the challenges that bring us away from praying it.
Because sometimes we have challenges that it might be hard for us to wake up during the nighttime.
You know, and then I said the benefits for praying this prayer are immense, right?
It's a means of when you're drawing between it's just you and Allah, Sufana'u'adah in this prayer.
There are no distractions.
It's just you and Allah's seclusion, right?
I spoke about this and it's talking about that long ago.
And I said that if you really had to think that the best prayers are the prayers in congregation, they are.
They have great reward.
But the best of prayers, right?
After the obligatory prayers, like the hadith I mentioned, are actually the prayers of the Hajjid.
Why?
Are there the prayers in which you are in seclusion with Allah, Sufanao, and the reasoning behind it is because it's just you and Allah.
You can pray for however long you want.
You can make dua for however long you want.
You're just in seclusion for all with Allah, Sufanao, hua, ta'a.
Right?
it's not anyone else there with you.
It's just you and Allah.
So ensuring that you are trying
to incorporate these prayers in your daily lives.
And among one of the first things I want to mention
that can become challenging
is setting that can be challenging, you know,
is waking up, right?
Waking up is very difficult.
As some of us, you know, we are late,
we're up late praying or, you know,
we're up late doom scrolling
or sometimes we're up late talking, right?
And we're just talking.
And the thing is, my dear brothers and sisters,
if you truly have the intention,
the NIA to pray for the sake of Allah,
to find out of who it's a lot you have to quit those things that are bringing you away from
allah which is why the most important thing i'm going to mention first is ensuring that you are
setting a clear routine ensure that you are establishing a constant sleep schedule and you know it
allows and that one that allows for you to wake up refreshed going to bed early can help you
rise in order for you to pray to hajid inshallah with ease and among the second thing i want
to mention is making the dua making sincere supplication to allah saffana hoot
asking him for strength and determination to wake up for these prayers, right?
So sincere supplication can open the doors to achieving our goals.
And, you know, it's very important as well to start small, right?
There's an authentic hadith in which the Prophet of Allah,
Allah al-a-a-a-a-u-a-u-a-u-sler and was narrated to have said
that Allah, suba-a-a-a-a-loves deeds that are done consistently,
even if they're small.
So this implies that even if you just begin praying to Hajjah for the first time ever,
start small.
Start with just two rakas, gradually,
build your way up. If you want to, you can stay at Tudakas however long you want.
If you want to engage more, if you want to wake up earlier, you can do that as well.
But ensure my dear brothers and sisters that you are trying to be consistent because
Allah, Sufana-ahua-a-la loves those who are consistent, right?
So it's very important that you're consistent in your prayers, which is kind of, I don't
want to get too far off, but it kind of reminds me of our five-daily prayers.
Allah, subana-a-a-a-a-a-a-la loves those who pray on time and loves those who
consistently pray their five-daily prayers.
What does that mean for us?
that means that when it comes to praying our prayers,
Allah,
set five daily prayers for us,
and we pray them consistently, right?
The times may move a little bit up and down, right?
Or, you know, you have consistency.
You're not going to say one day I'm going to pray
Fajr, Asa, Isha, and then another day
we're going to pray Fajar, Mugru, and then Isha, right?
It's consistency, right?
So ensuring that you are trying to pray all of five of your prayers,
and it comes the same here,
as Allah, Sufana, how it's Allah,
loves consistency.
and ensure that you also are reflecting on the beautiful and blessed rewards of this prayer.
Remind yourself, and I have to do it myself, but remind yourself constantly of the immense rewards associated with this prayer.
And the thought of standing before Allah, Sufana'u, T'a'a, and seeking his mercy can see or can serve as a motivation for us to pray and to worship Allah,
because we all want Allah, Sufanao'u'u'a's mercy, we all have in his forgiveness.
And during the beautiful and blessed Mother Ramadan, my dear brothers and sisters,
The nights are filled with opportunities for worship and reflection and supplication, especially
into Hajid during this month.
It's very important that we try to build habits with all the things that we do, and especially
with the Hajjah, right?
It's a point in which if you say for the whole month of Ramadan, I want to build a habit
of trying to pray to Hajid every single day.
And then when it comes to after the month of Ramadan, you try to continue and continue and
continue it and they're going to be days that you miss it, right?
And this is what we've been told.
It's okay if you miss it.
As long as you had a sincere intention, you get rewarded for it, right?
So even just thinking about it in that case, my dear brothers and sisters,
is a very immense, you know, there's very, very immense rewards that come with this act of Ibadah
that's very important in our lives.
My dear brothers and sisters, rising for the night prayer is a noble act that brings immense
rewards and spiritual benefits.
It is a time for reflection, the time for supplication.
It is a time for seeking Allah, Supanahua, His mercy and his forgiveness.
My dear brothers and sisters, we strive to improve ourselves and draw closer to our Creator.
We must remember, and we must make sincere efforts to incorporate the Hajjid into our daily routines, right?
Or shall I say our nightly routines?
Because it's not during the day, but it's our night times.
So ensuring that we are trying to add it into our nightly routines.
We ask Allah, Supperahua'u-Tada to grant us the strength to rise at night in worship,
forgive us for our sins, and accept our prayers.
My dear brothers and sisters, we must remember the words in which Allah,
subhannahu a ta a ta is in the Quran and those who spend part of the night to their
Lord's prostrating and standing in prayer my dear brothers and sisters we ask Allah
to make us among those who are blessed to stand before Allah in the stillness of night
we're a da'a'an al-hambhali al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
for joining me tonight I pray that we all gain ta'afeek from this inshaw-ta-ta-a-a-a-a-
please forgive me if I said anything wrong and I ask Allah-Supon-a-a-a-a-ta-a-a-a-a-a-a
to forgive us all of our sins or shortcomings and to grant us his special mercy not only
this life, the Lindi in the next.
I already say, and after that one.
Al-havidilah, al-habilan-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
