Starting point is 00:01:19 Assalam and alaamu, and rachmatulah, and my brothers and sisters. Alhambhah, bismillah, Rahman, and Rahim. Alhambhawah, Rabilahemaliyah, and Salatu, and al-Aisulah, and al-Alihi, and sahy, and man, wada. My brothers and sisters, you know, beautifully,
Starting point is 00:01:38 yesterday I started speaking, I think it was about 45 seconds, if I'm not mistaken. But today, I actually started speaking earlier due to the fact that I had to have to set up. the microphone to my height, al-hamsaulah, you know, sometimes you take these things for granted, which is a very important part of the beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan, my brothers and sisters. My brothers and sisters, when it comes to anything that we do, we are going to falter.
Starting point is 00:02:11 We are going to make mistakes. Like I talked about yesterday, particularly I talked about what, I talked about how Allah subhphano'u'u'u'a-ta-a-la has created us to sin and to make mistakes and to falter, but he also created us to come back to him. There is an authentic hadith in which the Prophet of Allah Allah, Allah, He was Son of them, was noted to have said, or near-a-a-a-sad have said, that if a person did not sin, if a person was completely free of sin, Allah, Suhphananahua-a-a-a-a-la would replace them with someone who would sin and he would
Starting point is 00:02:41 forgive them. My dear brothers and sisters, the beautiful thing here in which this hadith is, and the reason I'm mentioning it to start off, is because when it comes to any and everything that we do, we have to remember that Allah, Suhpanohoi Tala's mercy is vast. And we have to remember that Allah, Sufanahu, Tala will always forgive us, and he will always continue to forgive us and show compassion and mercy and love for us. Even though we may have transgressed far beyond bounds, Allah, Sufanao'u'll show us. still shall mercy even if we've gone way past, you know, the limit. And the thing is, my dear brothers and sisters, that when it comes to, you know, sinning, the biggest thing is your sins. But in actuality, it is the sins that you leave that you have not sought the forgiveness for. Because, yes, the sins that you may commit, that's fine. Like I said yesterday, it is a, a, you are a
Starting point is 00:03:42 human inclination and it is a part of us as human beings to sin to make mistakes to transgress to disobey Allah but that's fine right even people who have the highest level of taqua are going to disobey Allah at some point it might be something minor and it might be something a bit major but that is how we have been created just as adam alexalam was made the exact same way he slipped he faltered he made a mistake and he got back up he sought the forgiveness of a Allah, Allah subhannahā forgave him and he continued on living. As for I want to mention this, but you think about it, Iblis or shaitan, he slipped and has continued on falling.
Starting point is 00:04:27 How though he slipped out of pride, he slipped out of not seeking the forgiveness of Allah and arrogance. But your brothers and sisters throughout the month of Ramadan, try to eliminate the arrogance that you may have in your heart. Among one of the authentic hadiz is that a person, who has a grain of arrogance within his heart will not be entered into paradise. Or, you know, there are different translations, but one of the most popular ones is one who does have or has a mustard seed of arrogance in his heart will not enter into Jinnah. My dear brothers and sisters, the biggest thing for us is ensuring that this Ramadan we are turning back to Allah. Yes, which it reminds me of my series.
Starting point is 00:05:11 let'shah i'll get to that in a minute let me finish this point turning back to Allah that's important but ensuring that we are also like i mentioned as well quitting the bad habits but also trying to realize and recognize the ways that we are going wrong for example if you realize that maybe doom scrolling maybe smoking maybe drinking maybe watching such uh type videos or you know TV shows or entertainment is bringing you away from Allah supaniahu Tala turning back to Allah doesn't just mean forgiveness it means eliminating the things that are bringing you away from Allah supanahua Tala whether that be your prayers whether that be your remembrance of him whether that be in your duas whether that
Starting point is 00:05:54 be in your zikr whatever it is anything that is bringing you away from Allah that is considered turning back to Allah you have to turn back to him so if you are watching something that's bringing you away from you have to eliminate it, even if it might not be a bad habit. For example, maybe you're watching a TV show, it's not bad, it doesn't have any, you know, profanity in it, it's nothing that is haram in it, but maybe this TV show or this movie or the movies that you watch are so time consuming. Maybe it's an hour or two hours and maybe they're so catchy and it's so difficult for you to get away from that it makes it difficult for you to focus on Allah. I'll give you another example. Sometimes when you watch shows or you watch entertainment or you know when you watch sports or things of that sort, you find commercials, music, things of that sort, those are haram.
Starting point is 00:06:50 But also when you continuously listen to something of this sort, what happens? It starts to get embedded in your head. And then it becomes difficult for you to recite Quran because now you're just humming the lyrics of a song you heard. And now you cannot focus on Allah suhpana hoiata because just like I said, even though, even though you only heard that song maybe two or three times, maybe it's an intro to a show that you started watching or maybe it's sports or maybe it's, you know, a movie or whatever it could be. And, you know, only Allah suhpana hootala knows best, but maybe that is distracting you in your prayers because the shatatatat will come to you and will continuously play this thing in your head, this theme or these lyrics. so that you get distracted, you lose that portion of your prayer. Because every moment that you are not focusing on prayer, that point is taken off for your prayer.
Starting point is 00:07:41 The shaitan wants us to lose more of our prayer than gain more. And when we gain more of our prayer, he gets upset. My dear brothers and sisters, when it comes to anything that we do, we have to remember, turning back to Allah, Sufana-ho-ta-a is more than just tauba. It's more than just repentance.
Starting point is 00:07:58 It's more than just seeking istafar or seeking the forgiveness of Allah. It's actually a lot more than that. Among one of the things when it comes to to tauba and one of the things when it comes to turning back to Allah is eliminating the things that prevent you from turning back to Allah. What do I mean by that? The things that eliminates you from going towards Allah
Starting point is 00:08:16 because we all have these different things. A long time ago, when I was younger, I used to watch TV shows a lot, right? And it became difficult for me to pray sometimes because watching a theme song over, you're hearing the intro or the theme song, whatever, you know, you want to call it over and over and over again, it becomes difficult for you to pray because now you continuously think about this thing.
Starting point is 00:08:39 And then when a TV show or entertainment gets so addicting that it makes you forget about your prayers or neglect your prayers, it's difficult for you to pray. And now you have to turn back to Allah. I'll give you an example. If someone said, hey, it's time for Salat al-Lahur. And you said, okay, let's go ahead and pray. I got to get back to the game. or I got to get back to my show where I need to get back to this.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Anything of the dunya, you need to not only repent, but you also need to cut that thing out. Even though, yes, Allah, Suhp. Allah has said that we are allowed to have some enjoyment in the world. That's fine. I'm not saying you don't have to have enjoyment because even I have enjoyment, whether that be doing something that I enjoy or whatever. But ensure that you also have a bound,
Starting point is 00:09:26 you have a lining that you know you're not going to cross. You say, okay, I might only watch this show, cut out the music, cut out this, cut out that, okay, this has some bits of haraman, anything that has haraman, cut it out, because it's bringing me further away from Allah, Sufana, how it's Allah. Yes, enjoyment is fine. Like I said, it's fine. But ensuring that you also are remembering Allah, is more important than enjoyment because in the hereafter, you will be questioned about everything that you watched, you listened to, you did, you heard, everything. all the things you indulged in, all the things that you neglected, whether that be your sala, whether that be Quran, because sometimes people only bring Quran and their prayers and their vicar and their most dua'as and all of that only to the month of Ramadan. And al-a-hambul-il. Some people are like that and may Allah, Sufanao'u'lli-ta-a-ha, forgive us all and grant us all a better and stronger relationship to him. I'm not knocking anyone just to let you know. My dear brothers and sisters,
Starting point is 00:10:29 When it comes to entertainment, the biggest thing for us is if the entertainment is halal or haram. And I'll give you something as well. This is something that I follow myself when it comes to kids. If you have kids, if you let them sit in front of a screen 24-7 for years upon year. Let's just say you let them sit in front of the screen for five years. I'm not saying five years straight because if you did, they probably wouldn't be alive. but if you did five years, right? Now when you say, hey, it's time to take a break.
Starting point is 00:11:03 They're like, take a what? What is a break? They're wondering, what are you talking about? Right? And they're like, okay. And then when you go to take a break for a sala, they don't enjoy it. When you go to take a break for anything, they don't enjoy it. It can be anything.
Starting point is 00:11:19 It can be, hey, let's go read the Quran. When you give your children, this is a little bit of advice that, inshallah, Allah, I try to follow ourselves as well. When you give children, the opportunity to have devices at a very young age, what does it do? It fries their brain. It fries their brain.
Starting point is 00:11:35 If you let a child listen to Quran recitation every single day taught them the meaning of it for 15 years, what do you think would happen to them? They would gain more closeness to Allah. They would become a better, a better overall, well-rounded person. But if you let that exact same thing,
Starting point is 00:11:57 child that we're speaking, we're still speaking of the same child. If you let that exact same child listen to music for 15 years instead of Quran, you taught them the meaning, you taught them how to say it, you taught them all these different things. Do you think they're going to be the same person? No, they're going to turn out to be someone different. The longevity, my dear brothers and sisters, even if you only watch just a small little bit of a TV show, even if you just play a video game, just a little here and there, which I'm not saying this, anything wrong with that. I keep mentioning that just so that people won't get upset with me because I'm saying that. There's no problem in that.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Maybe I indulge in video games here and there. Okay, that's fine. Yes, that's cool. As long as they're halal and they don't go against the teachings of Islam, whether that be with music, whether that be with stuff that is haram, anything of that sort, then that is something you have to cut out. Mindy brothers and sisters, I've spoken about turning back to Allah,
Starting point is 00:12:51 not with the same title, but in a sense, when it came to, I spoke about it on Wednesday. I said that even though we have faltered, we have gone and we have done things and we have heard things and we have said things and we might have done all of this, sometimes the impact that these things have upon our life makes it difficult for us to worship Allah. Even if we seek sincere toba. We seek, we sincerely seek tuba and then we turn around and do the same thing. It becomes more difficult for us to go back to Allah because now it's as if we are just walking in the same ton of. again that we don't know where we're going. We go in the same tunnel. We know there's nothing in there for you. You're not going to get anything out of it. And you walk right in that same tunnel again and say,
Starting point is 00:13:36 ah, ah, I did a child caught again? And then you say, you know, I'm not going to do it again. Ye'allah, please forgive me, y'allah, please forgive me. And then you walk right back into the tunnel again. This is the example I'm giving here. I could give a better one, but this is the example I'm giving. My dear brothers and sisters, what I mean by longevity or longevity as well is sometimes you get so programmed through these things that you start acting, you start speaking, you start trying to look like, you start trying to do these different things. If you find these characteristics in your child off of a TV show or off of a game or something of that sort, then you have to bring that out. You have to say, no, we're done. Because this right here will damage your Islam, your connection with Allah,
Starting point is 00:14:17 this right here will damage your connection between the parent and the child, their connection between real life people and video game people. They will start believing the movies, think that there are other dimensions except for the dimensions that Allah has told us in the Quran that there's the Dunya and the Akira. That's all. There is no dimension of the year 2050 and there's no dimension of the year 2070. So that's what we have to teach. And we have to realize, my dear brothers and sisters,
Starting point is 00:14:44 I'm not just saying this for us, but I'm also saying it for our kids. Because nowadays, with the advent of technology, it becomes difficult for us and for them to stay away from these things. the best advice I can give you my parents and my dear brothers and sisters I'll give it to you parents if you look at your child if you want them to grow to be healthy to be strong to be on their deen to want to teach to want to learn their Islam because like a prophet sallah a lai and so on them said seeking ilm is an obligation upon every Muslim and allah supranahua ta'alah for the person who makes ease the path to seeking
Starting point is 00:15:24 or the person who makes the path they take the path to seeking knowledge Allah supanahua Tada will reciprocate that he will make the path to paradise easy for them my brothers and sisters letting your child have a device at the young age is not going to benefit them
Starting point is 00:15:40 it's actually going to harm them more than anything there are times in which it is a conflict I'm very tired I need to get work done I need just to have this time child just have the phone okay just have the device and I'll give you this. I might have had the device a lot when I was growing up. Okay. But at the same time, you also have to realize, yes, it is fine if they might have a little
Starting point is 00:16:05 device sometimes, but not really. Because even at the age that they are at now, they're not supposed to have a single bit of device. These devices are meant to mess with their brains. Their brains are not completely developed so they don't know how to deal with these different things. why you find that children are having, you know, they're having an uprise and tantrums and emotional changes, and you can't figure out why. It's not just because of the terrible twos. It's because of how they are when they're watching things. Why are you watching a non-Islamic show, first of all?
Starting point is 00:16:38 And even with the Islamic shows nowadays, you have to be very careful. I like to give multiple advices to parents. I'll give you one other advice that, inshallah, out, I pray, can benefit all of us. The best advice I'll give you, my dear brothers and sisters, is watch a show before you let them watch it. No, no, I'm not saying because you're a kid. I'm not saying because you want to watch a show. But I'm saying because there have been times that we, I have going into a show,
Starting point is 00:17:03 oh, this is a cool show to watch for kids, okay? And then you go in, has a lot of haram stuff or has haram stuff in it. And you say, whoa, stuff for Allah, this is not something you want your child to be watching. But guess what? If you didn't take the consideration, if you didn't take the caution to actually go watch it yourself, your child would have just been watching this all the time. and then you would have come back to a reprogram child like a robot. Now you're wondering, why are they doing and saying these different things?
Starting point is 00:17:27 I never told them to do this or I never taught them to say these different things. But your brothers and sisters, not only are we sponges. We are just a little drier of a sponge. We're a little more harder now because we've gotten bigger. But when it comes to our children, instilling the habits in them as well, that when it comes to anything that they do, rely upon Allah, remember Allah seek Allah's help seek Allah's forgiveness seek Allah's mercy read his book ensure that you are indulging in things that are pleasing to him not things that are
Starting point is 00:17:59 displeasing to him ensure that you are trying to obey him that you are trying to remember him not disobey him and not lose focus on him and not neglect him in his signs by the brothers and sisters sometimes we don't realize our relationship with Allah supanahua without us slipping right between our hands or right between our fingers like sand. And the reasoning why is because we get so indulged in the dunya. And when it comes to our a hirah, we don't even think a single bit about it. My dear brothers and sisters, the reasoning why I'm reminding us of this today is not because the month of Ramadan is coming up.
Starting point is 00:18:40 It is because my dear brothers and sisters, we all have to make a change in life. And it's not just for the month of Ramadan. It's not just for 30 days, 29 or 30 days, but rather it should be life-changing. It should be a change that should happen for the rest of our life, a change that should better us, not only in this life, but mainly in the next. But your brothers and sisters, if you find it that it is difficult for you to pray, if you find it that is difficult for you to remember Allah, you know, there's this thing that happens where there's this little device,
Starting point is 00:19:10 and I don't want to get too far off, but it's a little device that people have. It's a clicker, I guess, for thicker. I have someone I know that uses it. And you know, Sapanu, it's a great invention. May Allah, Sapanu, without a reward, whoever came up with that, it's great. Because on the day of resurrection, that device and that clicker will come forth
Starting point is 00:19:27 and testify for that person, yes. The only problem I have with it, my dear brothers and sisters, is the fact that, you know, sometimes you may be on your phone scrolling or you may be listening to an Islamic talk or doing something of that sort, and you just,
Starting point is 00:19:42 Saphaná'u, Sipha, like for example, you go out and you're going to the massage, And you go and you're, Sapanu'll, Siphan al-Sam-A-Lah, oh, some of the other, you don't realize that your finger's still clicking it. So you're not gaining any blessings
Starting point is 00:19:54 and you look back at the end of the day. Al-Ham-Dil-Lah, I hit 39,000 Siphanal-Las today. Al-Ham-Dil-Lah. You don't realize that you actually probably only hit about 9,000. The other 30,000 was probably you just doing whatever, just clicking the button, you know?
Starting point is 00:20:12 So I do advise that people use your fingers and you try to maintain thorough and Dhikr that actually is remembering Allah and you are actually present in the moment. It's like the advice that I give to people as well and I try to give that when it comes to reading
Starting point is 00:20:28 the Quran and reciting the Quran sometimes and mess I do it myself sometimes but sometimes we are working on projects okay we're working on project and then all of a sudden we start reciting Quran, Hamdala beautiful recitation but then we don't know the meaning of what we're actually saying even though we might know the
Starting point is 00:20:46 We might know that Sura, we might know those ayas, but we're just reciting, reciting, reciting, reciting, and we don't know the meaning because we're all our devices. We're working on something. We are occupied with something else. We're just reciting the Quran. Nothing, but we're just reciting it just to recite it. But when actuality, my dear brothers and sisters, you are supposed to be reciting the Quran to learn it. You're supposed to be citing the Quran to memorize it, to embed it in your hearts, to learn to use it in your lives. My brothers and sisters, as well as it got a little dark here.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Inshallah, for the F and Q, we're going to start. We're going to turn the lights on, inshallah, soon. Yeah, yes. So, we're going to start now two minutes, inshalla. But my brothers and sisters, the biggest thing is ensuring that you set clear near and intention. Like, what did we talk about yesterday? On Friday, I spoke about your what? Anyone want to remember?
Starting point is 00:21:40 Your sincerity and your intention. Come on. You got to remember my dear brothers and sisters. Let's see for those of you at home, you have to remember. I spoke about your eclas and your nia. Your eclas is your sincerity. Your eclas and your nia. Eqlaas and your nia.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Your eclas and your nia. Your sincerity and your intention, your devotion to Allah, so on Allah, so on earth. Because sincerity and intention go hand in hand. Cicity and intention are like this. Right? Why? Because in order for your...
Starting point is 00:22:13 you to have a good intention in order for your intention to be accepted by Allah. It has to be no one. Okay, sincere. Ham-Tu-Lah, come on, sincere. It has to be sincere. The reasoning behind that is because if I make the intention, I keep bringing this one up about to Hajid. I think Allah, Suhpana-Hu-Tal is giving us a reminder. We need to start praying to Hajid.
Starting point is 00:22:35 If you want to pray to Hajid, if you just make the intention, I'm going to pray to Hajid. And then go to sleep, you're not going to get rewarded for it because it wasn't sincere. You didn't have it just for Allah. Maybe you did it so that you can tell others. You can brag about it. Say, hey, I pray to Hajid. You need to pray to Hajid too. So that you can get on others about it.
Starting point is 00:22:52 But you rarely pray to Hajid. You only pray it once every year. So ensuring that we are also only doing it for the sake of Allah is very important. My brothers and sisters. We ask Allah, to Allah, Sapanahu, Atara, to grant us the ability to ensure that we turn back to him with sincerity, with Tobah, with repentance. We ask Allah, Sufana, Hu, Thara, to Vigua,
Starting point is 00:23:13 as far as sins and our shortcomings and grant us to special mercy not only on this life but mainly in the next but your brothers and sisters inshallah a while my my other team is resetting up the f-and-q stage i would like to put on the screen uh screen instead of going black like it did yesterday inshallah it will go to the preview for my um Ramadan series it's a mini series about one to three minutes episodes it's just reminders it's called a it's called turning back to Allah many Ramadan reminder, which is what I wanted to speak about as well. So, inshallah, my Jabalas and sisters, 30 episodes. Inshallah, the preview has no spoken audio, just in case you wonder why there's no audio to it.
Starting point is 00:23:55 There's no spoken audio. It's just so that you can see what everything looks like. And inshallah, we ask Allah, Safanahua, to grant us all the ability to understand, to have ta'afeek. And we ask Allah, safanahua, pahua, to grant us all a blessed rest of our day. Inshallah, we're going to start the F&Q, inshallah. Salaamu alaqaulah, and bernicam. My dear brothers and sisters, like I said,
Starting point is 00:25:35 inshallah, we were going to start, we're going to turn a light on because it started getting darken here. You know, so, so my de brother and sisters, like I said yesterday, I have the screen down here on the floor so, inshallah, ta'allah, I can see the questions. As I just said beautifully, I thought that for this whole thing, it's a three-day event. I thought we were going to be doing 10 questions,
Starting point is 00:25:56 day. But, al-hamblid-l-l-ah, maybe tomorrow will be a big day. Maybe we'll do 15 to end off on Sunday, inshallah, which will be tomorrow. Shallah, hopefully, maybe that will be how this works, but I don't know. Because today we only got five. So, inshallah, I thought it was going to be 10 questions per session. We answer each question. People put their questions in. We try to answer them the best way we can. Pleasing to Allah, Sufana-h-h-h-a-a-a-a-a, and then we go from there. But as I said, you know, al-a-a-l-a-being that we have the opportunity to still answer the five questions,
Starting point is 00:26:28 where rather than none is better than anything. So, inshallah, we'll be started. So these are longer questions today. These are more detailed questions, shall I say. So, bismillah, rhammeda-rahman, al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. The first question is, what is the significance of making doa during the last third of the night in Ramadan? and how and how can one effectively utilize the time for supplication? I was going to read the other four, but I'm not going to do that.
Starting point is 00:27:06 The last third of the night is considered a very blessed time for making doa. It is when Allah, Sufanohu, Tala, descends to the lowest heaven, and he asks his servants what they desire, saying, you know, you know, O servants, you know, what is it that you desire of me? Whether that be forgiveness, whether that be mercy, you know, whatever it may be. And which Allah, Sufano, the Prophet of Allah a lai-wa-slam said an authentic hadith. Our Lord, blessed and exalted the sins every night to the lowest heaven. But within one third of the night remains.
Starting point is 00:27:44 And he says, who was calling upon me that I may answer him, who was asking me so that I may give him, who is seeking my forgiveness so that I may forgive him. So ensuring that my dear brothers and sisters, we are trying to wake up in the last of the night, which is why the best time to pray the Hajid is in the last hour of the night. Among one of the other things when it comes to the Hajid as beautifully, like I mentioned before, is that it is a time in which you are in seclusion with you and Allah,
Starting point is 00:28:10 so there is no one else to worry about, whether that be kids, whether that be, you know, parents sometimes, Or whether that be, you know, when you go to the massages, sometimes, you know, the Imam may recite a story you don't know. The Imam may recite too slow, too fast. He may recite, you know, sometimes very rare. You ever get it where you say it's just how you like it. But even then, you have to still worry about, you know, the fact that he might not stay down as long as you want in theua. He might not stay down as short as you want.
Starting point is 00:28:39 So there are just certain things you have to think about. And this is exactly why the two best prayers that you honestly can pray in seclusion just between you and Allah, Safanahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a- time one should wake up for like I said in the beginning to Hajid prayer engaging in acts of iba engaging in sincere repentance your to sincere toba and asking for personal needs whether that be forgiveness guidance you know strength in this life in the hereafter mercy whatever it could be you know whatever your needs are we ask Allah safanah huzaa to grant us the ability to wake up in the last day of the night for his sake and for him to answer our duaz I mean so the next question is
Starting point is 00:29:45 how can incorporating vicar remembrance of Allah saffano hua into daily routines during matto-ramadan enhance spiritual growth and connection with Allah safanahuahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-d. This is Dikr serves as a means of remembering Allah saffano-hua-a-a-a-a-a and keeps our heart connected with him like Allah-safana-hu-ta-a-sa-a-sa. Verily in the remembrance of Allah, whether that be through sala, whether that be through zikur, whether that be through dua,
Starting point is 00:30:15 Any remembrance of him will hearts find rest. Will hearts become at ease and they will draw closer to him? What was the rest of the question? And how during Ramadan, it's spiritual growth and connection with Allah. You know, also trying to just recite short phrases. Sometimes we think we have to recite a long dua or something of that sort to get more rewards and more blessings. but even just saying supranallah al-hambalil allah al-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ah-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. It's cold is heavy enough on the scale or you know there are other duas that you can say
Starting point is 00:30:55 but anything that is pleasing to allah and praising allah and praising allah is also pleasing to him so ensuring that we are still trying to as I said make consistent vicar but also sincere and vicar that we are actually in the presence of you know present in thicker as we call it because sometimes we get so caught up in our phones we get so caught up in maybe the tvs or we get so caught up in driving or anything and we are just clicking and then your lips aren't moving you're just thinking it in your head or maybe you're not even thinking it maybe you're actually thinking about 14 different other things at once and then when you actually come back and now we started off and you're on 2000 you come back and you're on 6 000 now you're like oh i performed all my dicker today you know so you know sofan
Starting point is 00:31:39 just trying to remember that trying to stay present in the moment when it comes to our vicar, our Quran recitation, and ensuring that when it comes to trying to incorporate vicar in our daily lives, we are trying to utilize all the opportunities that we have and ensure that even though it might be difficult for us to do that, ensure that make time for Allah, just like Allah safanahuahua'a'a'a'a just like Allah safanao'u'a made time for you to work, to sleep, to do anything and everything you need to do. He gave 24 hours ensure you try your absolute hardest to pay back the favor to Allah safanah who it which by the way will never be able to do but just try your
Starting point is 00:32:17 absolute hardest to please Allah suhpaniahu it's Allah so inshallah we're gonna try next to answer these next couple of questions we have question three I need to school so what specific do I are recommended for seeking forgiveness and mercy during the month of Ramadan and how can one ensure sincerity in their supplication. One of the most recommended and authentic dua'a is that you can make
Starting point is 00:32:46 through out of Ramadan and it's a beautiful one is Allahe, anna, which is, O'u'all, you are most forgiving or, O'u'll allah, you're most forgiving,
Starting point is 00:32:57 or, O'u'll be pardoning, but you, Allah, you're most forgiving is the translation we'll use. You love to forgive, so please forgive me. Or please pardon me. So to ensure sincerity in your dua,
Starting point is 00:33:08 one should approach their dua with a humble heart, recognizing their shortcomings in the greatness of Allah Safana Hu'u'u'u'a's mercy and his forgiveness, in realizing that Allah safana'u'u'u'a gave you the opportunity to make sincere, to him, gave you an opportunity to make du'a for a reason. So, inshallah, Allah, Allah will accept it from us. So the fourth question is, in what ways can the practice of memorizing and understanding the meaning of duaas contribute to a more profound spiritual experience?
Starting point is 00:33:39 is during the month of Ramadan. These are questions that we have compiled together as well, because they kind of matched the same category. So instead of going over them separately, we just made it easier to go over them together as well when it came to this one. But I think this right here I just said was actually just one question. But when it comes to memorizing and understanding their meanings,
Starting point is 00:34:03 you understand their meanings actually can deepen our connection and our relationship with Allah, Sufāra, And it also helps with the words that are being recited as well so that you know what you're actually saying. Because if I just said, Allahoam, it me, and I did not know a single word or what the meaning was that I was saying, then you would gain no benefit from it because you can just be saying it over and over again and not know anything from it. Which is why in the Quran, sometimes when we just hear jahannnam, then we think, oh, that's, you know, we start trying to, we start crying sometimes or, you know, something of that sort. But what's crazy is that, you know, Sufad Allah, Allah,
Starting point is 00:34:40 Allah, Suhanna-ahua-Tala doesn't mention Jehannam or the fire just in that word. He also uses Nahr, which means fire in Arabic. So if you don't understand that, then you wouldn't know he's speaking about that. There are stories in the Quran that can make you cry. There are things in the Quran that will make you cry,
Starting point is 00:34:55 and it's not just about Jehannum. It's not just about Allah's punishment. It can be about Allah's forgiveness. It can be about Allah's mercy. It can be a story that is very touching to the heart. So ensuring that even when it comes to our Quran, when it comes to our dua, when it comes to our vicar that we are understanding it.
Starting point is 00:35:10 We're trying to deepen the connection with it, try to deepen our meaning to it. And we ask Allah, Siphanah, to grant us all a better meaning. So, inshallah, we'll finish the last question up, which is how can one create a structured plan to balance the performance of obligatory prayers, voluntary acts of worship,
Starting point is 00:35:28 and vicar to maximize the spiritual benefits of the month of Ramadan? Al-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-a. So to create a structured plan, you must start by setting goals. for your aspects of worship. One of the things that we talk about in the month of Ramadan is spiritual burnout, is avoiding it.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Because when you do that, some people, and this happens to all of us, and I'm as excited as probably all of you, if not more excited for the month of Ramadan, because I didn't know if I was going to see this month of Ramadan. But, you know, when you think about it, sometimes we get so excited for the month of Ramadan that when it comes in, we are just like,
Starting point is 00:36:02 oh, supran Allah, like I'm so ready to pray and worship Allah, and so ready for the month of Ramadan. And then by the time we hit the halfway point, day 15, you know, day 14, day 15, then now we are exhausted because now we have overexerted ourselves because now we're trying to worship too much and do too many acts of bribada. So trying to approach it in a way that is very careful as well. Because sometimes we may schedule and plan so much that it's a whole mountain of stuff. Oh, I plan to, you know, ashallah, tell, pray 12 rakas, all 12 rakas of sun,
Starting point is 00:36:36 today. I plan to, you know, eliminate all these things and try to do all these things and perform all dicker in all these different times. Try to hit a certain number. However much Allah, Siphanah holds out, I grants you to hit. That's fine. And I'm not counting. I'm not here. Sapan Allah, one. Sapan Allah, too. I'm not doing that, by the way, stuff that allow with my left hand. But nonetheless, I'm not doing it, you know, in that way.
Starting point is 00:36:58 So just trying to make sure as well that you're not, you know, you're trying to also keep balance with everything that you're doing is very important my dear brothers and sisters and also ensuring that you know journaling as well can help to track your progress that you have speaking of that my dear brothers and sisters i like to mention inshallah two things uh first of all the trailer or the the trailer for my series which you just saw the preview of it it had no spoken audio no text on it nothing uh that right there is coming out inshallah to Allah on the 16th the trailer comes out on the 17th and then the series comes out or no sorry I think I got the days wrong.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Today is the 14th. Today is the 14th. Today is the 14th. It comes out, the trailer comes out on the 15th, and then the series comes out the first day on the 17th before after Maghruh time. And then, inshallah, Allah, we'll go from there. So that's how that works, by the way, for that.
Starting point is 00:37:52 And we also have a Quran competition or a journey competition or a Ramadan competition or challenge going on right now in the community. You can check that out, inshallah, ta'allah. But mainly what's actually happening is that we are going through checking out some of the
Starting point is 00:38:07 journals and things that people are making and we are going through there trying to see the winner and inshallah a whoever wins we will post them on the website and pin them to the community so inshallah ta'a'a we ask Allah to bless all of your efforts and allow for us to all gain the benefit of that challenge
Starting point is 00:38:24 my brothers and sisters as day two for today comes to an end I would like to ask Allah sa'u'u'u'a to grant us the ability to reach the month of Ramadan to benefit great and gain, Tafiq, from the lessons learned today, not only for all of you,
Starting point is 00:38:39 but mainly for myself. And we ask Allah, Sufana, Heu, to be goes for our sins, our shortcomings in granted us his special mercy, not only in this life, but mainly in the next. But your brothers and sisters, I leave you in the peace of Allah,
Starting point is 00:38:49 and Allah, Sufana, Hellalla, Ma'a Salama. And alaikumu ala, and alaqmatelah, and barakato. Barak, Allah, for you.
