alaaaaa
alaaaaa and abdhurt of
my brothers and sisters, I pray that everyone is doing well
and I ask Allah to find our whole tautive goes for our sins
our shortcomings and grant us his special mercy
not only in this life, we may be in the next.
My brothers and sisters,
al-hambulil-a, and we have gone through,
inshallah, if I'm not mistaken,
three jumas, al-hambal to that.
And I would like to give us a reminder here
as we approach this last, inshallah,
maybe juma of the month of Ramadan
to try and seek the most throughout these last nights.
It's very interesting because, particularly throughout our series
and throughout our seeking later to the Qatar,
we've spoken about these things of the guilt
of missing liltu-cadr or not being awake at the nighttime,
the importance of these last 10 nights,
ensuring that you're trying to build a better relationship with Allah,
you're trying to break the bad habits that you had and build new habits,
you're trying to ensure that you are emphasizing the importance of these good acts
that you do throughout your lives throughout this month of Ramadan,
especially throughout these last night.
And for a lot of us, my brothers and sisters,
we have not taken these first 20 days or the first 20 nights seriously.
So these last 10 nights are a means for us and for our salvation for us to change,
which is why one of the frequently made duazzi you should be making in the last 10 nights
is, oh, Allah, subhannahu, ta'a, please free me from the hellfire.
This is one of the beautiful joazzal in which we should be making throughout these last 10 nights.
And another one of the ones is it brings me to a hadith in which the Prophet of Allah,
a lao a laiou adai was asked by his wife, Aisha, Ralli Allah, and she was asking him,
what should I make? What do I should I make if I know it is laid to Qatar?
and he said,
Allahum,
I,
I'm in me,
I'm in me.
Oh,
indeed, you are the most
forgiving.
You love to forgive,
so please forgive me.
So throughout these last
ten nights,
my dear brothers and sisters,
seek the forgiveness of Allah,
seek to be free
from the hellfire
to be among those
who are forgiven
from the hellfire.
And we ask Allah
to grant us all jinnah,
but for those
my dear brothers and sisters,
and we ask Allah
to allow for us
to maximize our
ibada and our devotion
towards him
and towards our spiritual
enhancement during these last ten nights.
But beautifully, I want to mention here to start off with how at nighttime we've spoken about this
and the importance of these last nights is to actually worship throughout these last nights.
It's very specific because there's an authentic hadith in which Aisha of Radiah
reported that the Prophet's Allah al-a-a-u-sal-na would tighten his waistbelt indicating his commitment
to worship and devotion.
So this is a time to intensify our efforts in seeking Allah, Sufana-Huja's mercy and his forgiveness.
And this is exactly why, you know, the best night.
are Ramadan, the last 10 nights of Ramadan, and the best days are Dul-Hijja.
And this is something that we will go over, inshallah, after the month of Ramadan as well,
when it comes to Dijja.
But Allah, Sufana-Hu-Tha-Hu-Tha says in the Quran,
wala y'al-a-l-a-l-hsr, the best ten days, the best days, right?
The best days of the year, we have the best nights of the year, and we have the best days of the year.
The best days of the year are D'Hia, and the best nights of the year are the last ten nights,
which is something that's very emphasized here, and I believe we spoke about it yesterday,
or maybe the day before, and we spoke, I mentioned a bunch of hadithes,
a couple of hadiths here in which it speaks about the power of the last 10 nights and how many
rewards come from these last 10 nights. So trying to engage in your I bada. And it's very interesting
as well to mention because I mentioned this in my talk I did stepping up in the last 10 nights or,
you know, trying to seek al-Qa-a-a-a-cadr in these last 10 nights and things like that.
And one of the things I spoke about was how it's very important to set yourself up for,
inshallah, ta'a-success in these last 10 nights. And only Allah, Suhaphani-hra truly knows where you're
going to head how everything is going to go for you. But your plan is to set yourself up for
success, which is why one of the biggest things during these last ten nights is actually to realize
that no matter what you do, you need to ensure you are worshipping Allah and you are trying to
better your relationship with Allah. Because everything that you do has a consequence, especially
in these last ten nights, which is why it's very much so emphasized in the Quran as better than
a thousand months when Allah, Sufana Huaytara says in Sart al-Qadrath al-Qadr, he says that this night is
better than a thousand months.
So ensure you're trying to worship throughout these nights
and you're also trying to stand
and you're trying to gain this unique opportunity.
You're trying to seize this unique opportunity.
You're trying to seize this unique opportunity
to draw closer to Allah, to worship,
Allah, to strive to make the most of our time
and to engage in worship and seek the forgiveness of Allah.
And it's very interesting to mention as well.
I know I keep saying it's very interesting,
but this night is so interesting in itself
that Allah, Supperahua,
which Allah made a whole Sura just for it,
It's a very short surah, but it's a surah just about the night and about how beautiful the night is,
about how impactful the night is, about how powerful the night is.
And it's something that we should take very importantly and very seriously.
So if you truly want to take these last ten nights to the next level,
you have to realize what they're true about,
which is why it brings me to the point that I want to mention I mentioned yesterday,
which was two rakas or 20 rakas, and I give you a quick summary over that,
is that the Prophet of Allah al-a-u-u-salam said an authentic hadith.
He who makes wudu and does it properly, then prays two rakaats.
Allah subhannahu,
He will grant him whatever he even prays for sooner or later.
So if you pray two rakas, Allah will grant it to you sooner or later.
There is no dextapose time of I pray I pray two, a smaller amount, I get it sooner.
If I pray a larger amount, I get it later.
It works in the way of no matter what you do, whether you not you pray two or whether or not you pray 40.
You're going to either get it later or sooner or later, right?
And also when it comes to the value of 20 rakas, on the other hand, practicing, praying more rakas, such as 20, allows for
extended worship and supplication, which is why the Prophet of Allah a
a. He was often pray for longer.
I also pray longer in his night prayers during these times.
Which is also something else to mention.
I did not mention yesterday.
And it's very interesting as well.
But if you look here that the meaning of this here, if you look and it says that he would
extend his prayers, he would pray them longer.
He didn't say he would pray more prayers, right?
We're looking at the quality here of your prayers.
The supplications and the duas and the things that you're doing and the duas that
you're making.
And everything you're doing should not just be a dua that you're making in, you know, these two rikas and then that's it, right?
You just make it in one sada and then after that, that's it.
Which is why the hadith in which the Prophet of Allah a He waslam said that the closest of servant comes to his lord is when he is prostrating.
So it's a very beautiful time to make dua as well, as it's also in prayer.
And when it comes to this, we also have to look at our intention.
And throughout our last night, these last nights is very important and very crucial to look at our intention.
and the intention behind our action.
So whether we choose to pray two or whether we choose to pray 20 rakaz.
Our intention should be to seek the closeness of Allah and to earn his pleasure.
Consistency.
It's better to be consistent in our Ibadah rather than overexerting ourselves
and then becoming discouraged, disengouraged, right?
Or discouraged because it happens, right?
We go and we pray 20 rikaz one night and then now our feet start to hurt and now we are tired
and now we're like, okay, you know what?
I don't want to do this anymore.
Like I'm tired, all right?
I'm tired of this.
So then it becomes to the point.
where we have to look at our intentions.
The intentions that we have
should be overpowered by our actions.
So yes, the action of praying,
Tony Rekaz is beautiful,
but the intention should be
to seek the pleasure of Allah,
to worship Allah,
and to only gain the true love
and forgiveness and mercy of Allah,
suhannahu, Tala.
And one of the things I want to speak about
in this la Chitba,
is that when it comes to these last ten nights,
it's very important to realize
that if you have certain responsibilities,
if you find it difficult for you to pray,
If you find it difficult for you to worship Allah, make sure that you are doing the things that are necessary, right?
You're taking naps throughout the day if it's difficult.
You're trying to improve your habits of, you know, sleep, of eating, of doing things.
And this is also something else as well.
A core part of the last 10 nights as well is not to eat too much at Iftar because it happens.
And then what happens is that it affluences sleep on you, like I spoke about yesterday as well, and seeking letters of al-Qa-a-a-fra from Magrib.
It seeks and it places upon you this feeling that, oh, I'm not.
tired right now. I can't, I can't stay up. And then you end up falling asleep and you end up
missing out on one of the best of nights and among the best of nights in these last 10 nights.
So ensure that you're trying, my brothers and sisters, to stay up and ensure you're trying to
engage. And something else that we mentioned here as well, specifically in a talk I did, was
about the four duas you can make. And this is something that's very beautiful as well, because if
you go through all four of the duas, they all pair together to one dua, which is joaamil dua, right?
which is the all-encompassing, the all-in-one dua.
It's a dua that you can use.
And like I mentioned in that talk before,
I kind of been mentioning parts of 18 every talk here
to kind of give you more of a reference here
if you haven't watched them,
but inshallah, I pray that you do.
But if you actually look at the dua,
there are multiple versions to it.
There's a diversion that the Prophet of Allah,
a while he was said to beaubu of Abu Bakr and Ali
and all of these great companions.
And then there is the version that he prescribed to Aisha,
and the actual hadith.
And the actual hadith from that was that the Prophetus
Allah a while she was making dua.
She was exerting herself in so much dua
that she could not actually focus and make the right dua.
She had the words, she knew what she was trying to say,
but the words just were not coming right.
And the Prophet of Allah al-a-a-hu-Salam stopped her in the middle of her
and he said, I can teach you a all in one dua.
I can teach you a dua which will alleviate all of this that you're going through to make this
dua.
And this is where this dua comes in.
in place. So also making this dua and it's very beautiful as well to look at these last
ten nights and especially this Friday. Like I mentioned before, inshallahata, this is the last
Friday. Inshallah, if it is, ensure that you're trying to perform more dicker and more
remembrance because there are also other authentic hadiths and they're very long as well, but
they're authentic hadiths in which it is noted that the Prophet's Allah Allaha'u'll say that the
night of Thursday, the night of Thursday, right? After you pray Salatam Magr is a night that's bright.
but on the day of Friday is a day that's shining, shining with what, shining with blessings,
shining with goodness and chayr among it.
So now we are entering,
my dear brothers and sisters into the continuation of these last ten nights,
inshallah,
and soon enough back into shawal.
But realize that even in these last nights,
among one of the most blessed of nights here for us right now,
is Friday.
And it is a very blessed time and ensure that you are trying to seek the pleasure of
Allah, the forgiveness of Allah, the mercy of Allah.
And it's exactly why this duat comes into.
play here, right? And the first part I want to mention here is, will you say, Oh, Allah, I ask you for all
that is good in this word and hereafter of what I know, what I do not know, and oh, Allah, I seek
refuge with you from all evil in this word and in the hereafter of what I know and what I do not know.
It's a very powerful dua to make, inshallah, you can actually view it on our website.
We have the full dua there, inshallah, and it's very, very beautiful to make.
But when you're looking here in these last 10 nights, you shouldn't just be making dua,
you shouldn't just be performing vicar, and you shouldn't just be praying, right?
you should be doing all of them at once
while still seeking the forgiveness of Allah,
right? You should be performing tauba,
istafar, you should be trying to seek the forgiveness of Allah.
These are the last 10 nights that will change history
because if everyone in this Ummah made a dua
for the same thing on every single night,
Allah, by his mercy, would actually accept that dua.
So my brothers and sisters,
if you look here in these last 10 nights,
ensure that you are trying to seek the forgiveness
and the protection of Allah,
ensure you're trying to you're trying to ask
Allah, Saffaugh-Hu-Talah for ability to
enter paradise and for him to protect
you from the hellfire and I ensure
that you're asking Allah-Suphano-Hu-Talah
and I ask you
to make every decree, that you
decree concerning me good, right?
That you make every decree concerning me good.
And we ask Allah, Sufano-ahua-ta-a-ta-to-make every decree
concerning us good and to allow for our decrees
only to be good
and for our six, my brothers and sisters
when it comes to the last thing
I will have mentioned here, inshallah aada,
is that in these last nights,
ensure that you also
are focusing on quality.
The quality of your ibada,
the quality of your duaz.
Don't look at quantity.
And what I mean by here is there's so many different
means of quantity that I've spoken about.
But one of the means of quantity
I want to speak about tonight here
or today as well for this Jumma talk
is actually the quantity of your time.
Some people measure their duaas by time.
Some people say,
inshallah, I'm going to make du'i
for 20 minutes and then inshallah I'll pray for 10 then I shall I'll do look at the quality of all of
your Ibadah and don't over exert yourself right like we spoke about in the beginning do not over exert
yourself to the point that you don't feel motivated the next day or the day after that to even worship
because you stay up until three o'clock in the morning and then go to sleep four or five and then wake up at
six and then have Sahara and then you're going throughout your day doing everything and then you go
back again the next night and you're going to bed again at three and then you're and you continue this
cycle it's good but as long as the quality of
of your prayer requires that time.
And don't look at the timing, right?
Don't look at all, man, I stayed up until three o'clock.
And then you say, okay, well, that's my Allah.
I think I did good, right?
Because even just thinking about the prophet
of Allah, how there will be in the last
tonight's times in which he did not even sleep.
He would worship all throughout the night
up until fudger time, right?
Because like we have here in the very last ayah,
salam when he hattah, muta al fajar, right?
Until the break of dawn, until the fudder prayer.
So even then, my dear brothers and sisters,
Exert yourself in prayer to the best of your abilities for the sake of Allah with the right quality, with the right intention, with the right sincerity.
And, inshallah, Allah, will bless you with the action.
And we ask Allah, Sufana, His Father, to forgive us all for our sins, our shakhani, and grant us, our shakhani, and grant us, especially, mercy, and only this life and mainly in the next, and the next to bless us in these last ten nights of Ramadan.
Grant us the ability to worship him with sincerity.
Forgive us for our sins, our surecomings, and accept our duas from us.
Amin.
And we're al-hul-lallah, al-harmu.
