Allah who one of hishiyah,
and I shod, and Muhammad and Abduhruh
and Rasmu.
Assalamu alaqum, your brothers and sisters.
I pray that everyone is doing well
and I ask Allah,
Sufana, how it out, to rejoice for our sins
or our shortcomings in grace
of this and worship,
mercy, not only in this life,
meaning the next.
But your brothers and sisters,
today I would like to ask a question
that many of us have asked ourselves,
and that is what if we have lost motivation?
What if we don't feel excited to pray anymore?
What if reading the Quran feels difficult?
What if learning the Quran feels difficult?
What if we know what is right, but we do not have the energy to do it?
What if our imam feels low?
Because many people think that the strong believers are always motivated.
But that is not true.
And the real question is not whether motivation would appear, but the real,
disappear, sorry, but the real question is what do we do when it does disappear?
The first thing we need to do is remember who we are doing this.
this forward. We do not pray because we are motivated. We pray because
Allah's upanao deserves our Ibadine, deserves our worship, and we are trying to
gain rewards from Allah, sopana, He does not read Quran because we feel like it.
We read Quran because it is the speech of Allah supana and it is a guide for us
in our lives and is a means of gaining attaining closeness to Allah supran
herrata through it. We do not wear hijab, lower our gaze, seek
or make it vikr because it is easy.
We do it because Allah suhpani-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a is worthy of being obeyed.
Sometimes that motivation comes after action, not before it.
Shaitan wants us to wait until we feel ready.
This is the trick of shaitan.
When you feel ready, oh, you feel ready to work hijab,
or you feel ready to pray, oh, you feel ready to do this iBada.
But the truth is,
Allah, Suhanna-Hu-Talahala tells us that your iba'bada,
your worship, your obedience to him is 24-7.
is every single day of your life and it shall never end until you return back to him.
And one of the biggest mistakes that many people make is building their ibada on their worship.
When they feel inspired, they pray.
When they feel emotional, they re-Koran.
When they feel motivated, they make vicar.
But feelings come and feelings go.
A person who only worships when they feel motivated will struggle when those feelings disappear.
The strongest believer is not necessarily the most.
emotional. They are the most consistent because the Prophet
Allah Allah al-a-Heu Siddha said that the most beloved deeds
to Allah are those done consistent even if they are small,
even if they are few. So small deeds done every single day can take
you further than huge deeds done every once in a while.
And if you have lost motivation, don't try to do every single thing
at once. Don't try to do every single act of iBada at once
because sometimes we overwhelm ourselves who tell ourselves, I'm going to
read five jewels of Quran every single.
I'm going to pray to Hajid every single night.
I'm going to memorize an entire Sura this week.
And then after two days we burn out.
Instead, start small.
Read one page of the Quran, make vicar for two minutes,
pray your sat down on time, listen to an Islamic reminder.
Take one step toward Allah, Sophano, His Allah,
because every step towards Allah matters.
The goal is not perfection, the goal is progress.
And I do want to mention if you don't feel motivated in your life,
that the only way you're going to actually truly be motivated is by Allah.
is by Allah supana-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
You have to look inner, you have to look inside and say,
what is it that's making me not feel motivated?
What is it that I'm doing
that's taking this motivation away?
What is it that I may be doing
that's bringing me further away from Allah-Supana-Hu-Tal?
Because if you spend too much time around people
who don't remind you of Allah
and who bring you away from that,
you may not feel motivated as to come back to Allah-Supana-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-.
If you spend time with your friends talking about Dunya,
about entertainment,
your heart can become distracted too, which is why we should spend time around people who remind us of Allah, suhpaniahua,
because your heart, your soul, and ultimately you will naturally become stronger and closer to Allah supranahua.
The Prophet of Allah a Allah a Hew-Wsalam even compared good companionship to a perfume cellar.
Even if you don't buy perfume, perfume, sorry, not persume by perfume, you'll still leave with a beautiful scent.
Likewise, when you spend your time around righteous people, their good habits begin to affect you.
They begin to rub off on you.
Find friends who remind you to pray.
Find friends who remind you and encourage you to learn this dean and encourage you to become closer to Allah, Sufana.
Find companions who help you get closer to Allah, Sufana, Hexal.
Find companions who want you to learn the Quran.
They want you to pray.
They want you to pray your nahuahua.
They want you to pray your sunnaheuf.
They want you to fast during the month of Ramadan and outside of the matahua.
They want you to stay away from that, which is displeasing to Allah, supan,
or hua Tala.
They make dua for you, and they ask you to continuously improve,
and they want to improve over and over again.
And sometimes we try everything except the one most important thing you can do.
And this is one of the things in which we have talked about before, and that is dua.
Making duaqa consistently.
We forget to ask Allah, Sufanao'u, who controls our heart, Allah.
Who gives us guidance, Allah.
Who strengthens our ego, and so on us.
I mean, Allah, subhannahu,
so if your motivation is low, raise your hands
and ask Allah sa'upehannahuaa
Ya Allah, help me to worship you.
Yeah, Allah, strengthen my iman.
Yeah, Allah, make me love the Quran
with sincerity and with the true intention,
allow for me to learn the Quran
with true sincerity and true intention,
no matter how long it takes,
no matter how difficult it is,
do not allow for my heart to be diverted
from your book.
Oh, Allah, make Salah beloved to me
and never underestimate sincere dua.
Because the one who created your heart,
can revive your heart and if you feel motivated to you know do um do vicar and do these things
is a very good thing you should try to stay in this act these acts of ibadah and stay in these acts
of worship to allah supranahua and one of the other ways to be motivated is to remember the here
after because sometimes our motivation disappears because we become too attached to this dunya we
focus on school work money entertainment social media sports games and slowly we forget
get where we are going.
This dunya is temporary.
This dunya is temporary.
Because one day every one of us
will stand before Allah,
Sufana hurrah,
the prayers that we delayed today will matter.
The Quran that we neglected will matter.
The opportunities that we wasted will matter.
All of the opportunities you wasted,
whatever it might be will matter.
We'll matter on that day.
And this is why we spoke about before,
we've spoken about how to use this dunya
to ultimately do better in our a achara.
One of the most important things for us to do, my dear brothers and sisters,
is to work in this Dunya for our A'Hara.
Do not work in this Dunya for the Duna, because the A'Hara is more important.
You will be in this Dunya for what feels like minutes,
but you will be in the Aikara for eternity.
You will be there forever, and you only have two choices on where you're going to go.
And we ask Allah, Sufana'u'u'u'u'a to grant us to Allah, I mean.
But when it comes to the Dunya, if you are, you don't feel motivated to work,
If you don't feel motivated to go out and strive in the path of Allah,
subhpana hua'u'a'a, if you don't feel motivated to go and get up every day and pray,
if you don't feel motivated to perform a dicar,
if you don't feel motivated to make dua,
if you don't feel motivated to try your absolute hardest to strengthen your iman,
to try your absolute hardest to better yourself and better those around you,
and try your absolute hardest to make time for Allah, Sufanao'u'u'a'u'a'a'a'a.
Then this is where the motivation will start to fail.
My brothers and sisters.
Every sajda, every tear shed for Allah, every active sincerity, every moment we choose
Allah, Supperanahua'u'u'a'a over our desires.
This is a time in which we are building motivation to go closer to Allah, Sufanaana'u'a'a
because jinnah is not cheap.
Jinnah takes effort.
Jinnah takes that true effort, that true sincerity and a true intention for Allah subhaphanarhuah.
If you want jinnah, you're not just going to be able to prop your feet up all day and say,
shah'u'll just going to get jinnah like this.
I watch a couple lectures.
I made a bit of jah.
I'm good.
You have to actually go out and you have to strive, you have to work.
If you have a goal, whatever it might be, if your goal is to try and read this much Quran,
if your goal is to try and memorize the Quran in, let's just say, a year, or two years,
or however many years it is, and even if you take longer, if your goal is this,
do not say I'm going to memorize a Sura.
I'm going to memorize a whole Sura in this one day.
And then you don't meet that goal, and then you say, oh, well, I guess I'm not going to learn Quran,
and then you stop learning Quran.
The people who say, inshallah, I'll do it soon.
Inshallah, when I'm ready, inshallah, when it's time.
These are the people who have lost motivation.
These are the people who, whenever it comes to anything that they're doing,
they're only doing it because it's become an obligation.
It's become a ritual.
It's become something that now it's a part of my day.
Oh, I pray five times a day.
I pray five times a day.
Okay.
Oh, I have to go out and I have to work.
I have to do it.
But if you're truly doing it for Allah,
so upon your holy ta a while, you're saying that when it's time,
will not be a thing. I remember I did a short reminder for sisters specifically on hijab and how
hijab is not something that is supposed to be a journey that's going to take 15 years to wear.
If Allah, Suhphanahua-a-a-a-a-a-a-sa is obligatory for you to wear this to protect yourselves,
you wear it. You do it for Allah-Supana-Hu-a-a-a-a-da. This is why, my brothers and sisters,
yes, it is a journey to Allah-Suphanahua-a-ta-a-a-a-a-d is a journey to gaining more closeness to
of Allah, Sufana-Hu'u'a-ta-a-a-a-a-ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-to-a
every single struggle.
So do not be among the people, and we ask Allah-Safana-Hu-Tal to protect us from being among the
people who say that I'll do it when I'm ready, I'll do it when it's time.
Because just like we've spoken about before and other chitabas and other talks,
we've spoken about what?
How this dunya is temporary?
How you do not know when you're going to return.
We may return today.
We may return two hours from now.
We may return a whole year from now.
We may return years from now.
We never know. Only Allah suhpano hua ta a
know. So do not ever
say, I'll do it soon. I'll do it whenever I get a chance.
Because those are the people who waste their time in this dunya.
At the very last minute, they hoped that,
ah, I wish I could have done more.
And those are the people who regret on the day of resurrection
when they're standing before Allah
and they're seeing all of the deeds that they could have earned.
But they didn't earn.
Those are the people who will regret the deeds
that they did not do enough of.
So many brothers and sisters,
if you've lost motivation, do not lose hope.
The fact that you're worried about your relationship with Allah,
Sufano, in itself is a sign of faith.
Jaitan, I want you to think it's too late,
you're too weak, and I'll never change.
But Allah's a rahmah,
Allah's mercy is greater than your mistakes.
Today can be a new beginning.
Not next week, not next month, not next year.
Today, take one step towards Allah,
Allah, say that Salah, open that Quran,
make your Dua, seek Ilm, and remember,
and remember the beautiful promise of Allah suprana hua ta a
that when a servant comes closer to Allah Allah come even closer to them
we ask Allah subana huaata to motivate us to do more and to be set fast upon
our rel-upon his religion we ask Allah saitha to fill our hearts with
iman we ask Allah saviourna to help us to worship him sincerely
